Like at least she genuinely apologized to Zayna, unlike Kenji (at least on screen) but the way she tried to intimidate her into going onto land was wild.

Serika’s gero froggy is very intriguing to me because those things were sold before she was born and skyrocket in price after that (and they were way too expensive to begin with). Yet, Takuru still gives her one. When did this happen? Did he give it to her before she was born and she just picked it up? Where from then? Like did Takuru have it on his person at all times or did she go to his apartment?

Or did Takuru give it to her after he woken up? Maybe to thank her for still being his friend, but that doesn’t really sound like him but neither is giving it in the first place.

Perhaps she lied about the gift to give them a physical history they never had. It probably wouldn’t be that hard finding a gero froggy lying around at the destruction of the earthquake. However, if that’s the case then why was it important enough to her to bring it everywhere? It could be a genuine tick of hers, but it could also be that part of this made up history becomes real if Takuru believe it is and that it really has a real sentimental value to her because of that.

Someone yanks you by the back of your cloak. The grab was swifter, harsher than anyone you've encountered before. The first thing you see is Isabeau.

A burning flame in his eyes that you never saw before makes you smile brightly. You're about to laugh, before he growls loudly...

"Bonnie."

Oh. Oh, dear Stars. He found out what you did to that silly veggie kid. It's the first time you hear their name. You knew they worked with him, you did what you did to draw him out.

Somehow, though, you didn't expect anything like this.

You shout in surprise as you're thrown off the bridge.

"Bonnie!"

You fall to the grass below, and you can clearly hear him jumping down after you. You giggle manically, whipping out your dagger-- just in time for him to swipe it away. The flames in his gaze burn brighter.

"BONNIE!"

A swift punch that makes you cry out. Then another. A few kicks, a headbutt. Attack after attack after attack. You're not sure how you're still conscious, what with him being a Rock type. He keeps screaming, and you swear you could see tears in his eyes.

"BONBON!!"

You're scrambling away, trying to do anything, trying to move away from him, from all the pain. You let out a ridiculous sound as his knee meets your hip, and another as he grabs so tightly onto your cloak you feel like he'll shred it straight off your body.

You see him shiver, holding back sobs before he finally belts out, straight in your face,

"BONBOOON!!!!!"

You feel a little scared.

Chaos theory thoughts under the thread

So many thoughts for later - first off, in love with it. I have fallen in love with Camp Cretaceous back when I put on season 1 back in 2020 as a pandemic watch and then kept watching until 2, had a watch party with 3, etc. Chaos Theory was SO solid. It delivered on so many fronts. The Brooklyn flashbacks were so damn good. This show handles certain themes of trauma so well. I know it may have just been a matter of pacing but I'm choosing to interpret that Sammy has the shortest Brooklyn memory compared to the others bc she's not thinking about it - she's focused on tasks so she never has to stop to feel everything weighing her down. Hope we find out about Sammy and her family in the second season. Honestly most of them and their dynamics following the island. There was a lot to take on though in 10 episodes. The Handler. Loved how they definitely amped up the nightmares on this season but she was the first human they've ever brought on that was as scary as the dinos. Also Kenji my sweet boy. Calls his mother EVERY WEEK because that's what you DO. She's his MOM. Brooklyn....like I know it's not the same but also she's really pulling a nearly-Furiosa look at the end and you know what, I'm here for it. I liked Brooklyn fine in Camp Cretaceous, (controversial opinion but she was always sort of meh to me) but I liked her more in Chaos Theory. Something something haunting the narrative!! Something something influencer-turned wannabe investigative journalist who tuned everyone out and it may be to her own detriment. I can not WAIT for the fall out when they find out she's alive.

Eventually I will make my recap rewatch of the last seasons of Camp Cretaceous and my reactions to Chaos Theory bc I'm going to have to rewatch this again.
