This wasn't at all what he had imagined for himself when he had moved to the city. He had always assumed that falling in love was something storied, something that had happened to his father with his late mother. But meeting her had changed everything. It had been instantaneous for him, looking into her eyes he had found something that he hadn't even been looking for. She was beautiful, physically, inwardly, everywhere. He couldn't have kept himself from her if he tried. There were parts of her hidden from him, ever shifting that he did try to catch onto but always it slipped from between his fingers. He had promised himself that he would never stop trying to know her completely. He loved her, more than he could even explain. He loved her utterly. He just wanted her to know that, wanted her to feel like she could be honest with him.

Their anniversary had come up and he had made reservations at a beautiful nearby restaurant that they had yet to dine at. He peeked into the bedroom, leaning against the doorframe as he looked in at her. "Are you ready?" He softly asked her, studying her a little to see if anything was off kilter about her. Sometimes he could catch her seeming worried, concerned, maybe even a little flustered if he ever put the question of what was wrong to her. "We should leave soon if we want to make the reservation." - @inabcck

For whatever reason tonight Isabelle found it hard to sleep even though she was curled up in bed with Logan. They had had a busy day between their planned activities and those that took place before he fell asleep. She had no issue with laying there listening to the sound of his breathing watching the rise and fall of his chest while her mind refused to stop. Shadow Hunters never got involved with mundanes for a reason it could get complicated and while so far they had been lucky in this lull of peace she could feel the clock ticking.

Logan shifted next to her coming to snuggle in closer and she found herself nuzzling into his hair to memorizing his scent. Her eyes close as she lets one hand wander down along his spine slowly memorizing the feel of his skin under her finger tips. When she went into these headspaces it felt so much like she was preparing to say goodbye and maybe she was. She wanted to protect him; this one bright spot that was in her world where she got to pretend to be a normal girl. She pressed her lips to his crown in a soft kiss she hoped wouldn't wake him. "I hope you know I love you." Izzy whispers so soft that she barely heard it herself.
