Two and a half years ago, my father passed away from a heart attack. My sister and I were absolutely devastated. Neither of us had the chance to say goodbye. We constantly thought about huge life moments that he’d miss; us graduating college, walking us down the isle at our wedding, him having grandchildren.
Just a month ago, my sister had a baby boy. She named him Kenneth, after my father. As soon as my sister could bring the baby home, she went straight to the cemetery. If this picture doesn’t break your heart, I don’t know what will.
Take some time to appreciate your parents, please. Ask them about their younger years, hear their stories. Cherish every single second. They won’t be around forever.
