I got a steal for this but that's just because I think @halfbit enjoyed working on it. I'd say with everything done and that 3D background halfbit was so kind to throw in for me this all together would be $60-90 on the low end. No where near what I even paid! Very much worth noting that you shouldn't expect this if you are buying and paying the least expensive commissions in their shop, and that I very much recieved this because halfbit was being very generous and we have a relatively friendly relationship. If I had expected to receive this for what I paid it would have very much been robbery. This was halfbit flexing on me and experimenting.

I definitely do recommend checking out halfbits comms! Currently there is one thing listed but I'm sure if you're willing to pay for high quality art of another type you can definitely ask them about it. Currently there are $12 dollar icons with add on's and pay what you'd like! If you can pay more then you should. I'd value my profile pic icon around $30! I'd also value halfbits general style around $20 and think that is what you should be paying for the general icons.

⭐️Time taken on my commission was well paced for its quality.

⭐️I did not have to ask for WIPs and was shown them along the process.

⭐️Communication was stellar.

⭐️Very good artist if you know you want a commission of a character but don't know what you want.

⭐️You have non-commercial rights to your commission. Such as making the image into a key chain or buying a print just for your own use.

it was a really charming surprise to find out that the song ncuti and millie performed wasn't pre-recorded and that they literally just had to sing it on the fly while dancing around. most sequences like that would have just been lip-synced with the done up vocals being played in the background which always feels a bit inauthentic, but this just adds to the chaos of the scene and makes the stakes feel a bit more genuine, that ruby and the doctor are actually struggling to come up with this song to offer a proper distraction.

I know we talk a lot about how doctor who will always pick practical effects and costume over 'cgi-ed to a buggery', so I feel like this also deserved some acknowledgement

I hate my cinephile ass so fucking much. I had the misfortune of accidently watching the Hindi trailer, the editing seemed so choppy and the score, underwhelming would be an understatement.

But the Telugu trailer is so fucking good. The dialogues flow smoothly, the editing seems to work and the score is 100000x better.

Ig this is my queue to watch the movie in Telugu.

Tbh, i think JRR Tolkien would've really loved New Zealand. Just watching the movies, seeing these beautiful sprawling landscapes and diverse ecosystems, and being aware of Tolkien's absolute adoration for all things natural. Idk I think if he ever saw the locations where the filming took place, he'd be like "oh fuck yeah"

I think there's a huge disconnect these days where images are communal when it's about saying right click save to nft bros but somehow protecting the sanctity of image ownership when talking about artists online. Like follow the thread. Thinking you Own an image or idea just because ypu made it does a disservice to the idea of art-as-sharing including engaging with remixing and recontextualizing and replication.

Like yes artists deserve recognition over the products of what they make but monopolizing something intrinsically shred is so wrongheaded. IP law will not protect you when it's always the richer culture producer who can gird up with lawyers to defend that your works are derivative enough to be considered theirs not yours.

Like yes talk about injustices and bad usage as they exist but it's not a problem with ai. Same shit can be said about using Photoshop or something come on now

I mentioned on my last watch that there were certain shots in this show that were made to look like the old movies where action would be happening through a doorway on a TV screen, and I've been looking for similar ones this time around.

This one qualifies, I think...with the wonderful twist of Chaos's head pushing through the doorway. What a delightful bit of camerawork.
