Why I don't celebrate 4:20 Day.

Not many people know this but 4:20 Day is Hitler's birthday. Which is exactly why I don't celebrate this day.

However according to my friend who used to be a member of Antifa, he claims that Leftists especially in the Antifa community secretly celebrate Hitler's birthday. They also secretly support Nazi or totalitarian policies that both Democrats and Big Tech companies impliment such as censorship or straight up banning conservatives on their platforms in order to silence them and cover up any inconvinient truth about the Democrats.

Posts like this is exactly what gets censored by Big Tech companies. The Nazis often censored the opposition. The point being that censorship is always bad, even if you disagree with that person.

But the Left don't see it that way. To them it's either their way or the high way. The Left act exactly like Nazis. The fact that they secretly celebrate Hitler's birthday, should be a huge red flag to you.

So what kinda compyoota problems we talkin’ ‘ere

very suddenly recently, discord has started crashing and rebooting any time I attempt to screenshare my capture software with my friends (you know. so they can see and hear the game we're all commentating on). this only happens for the capture software; I've screenshared other stuff without issue (including sharing OBS itself as a quick fix so we could play Luigi a few weeks back). I don't know the cause, but after a lot of troubleshooting one of the solutions I'm attempting to try is updating my graphics driver.

Both my hard drives are full, to the point that there's not enough space to upgrade the graphics driver. I attempted to remove premiere to make some space since i'm not using it right this second and can reinstall it later when I do need it, but *d*be won't let you access the uninstaller through the CC app unless the app is updated. Both of my hard drives are full, to the point that there's not enough space to update the app.

Further complicating this is that one of my drives is full of what I can only describe as "ghost" versions of old *d*be app versions (all 2019, for some reason...??) which no tool has been able to remove (yes, I tried the CC cleaner, multiple times) and that for all accounts appear to not exist, yet are still taking up huge amounts of space on the drive, and cannot be removed by any methods I've tried.

The Restrict act is a blatant violation of both the 1st and 4th Amendments, with very broad and vague language and draconian penalties. For instance, if one causes undue "risk" to US interests or persons, broadly defined, or if one engages in election interference, they are subjected to fines of up to $1million, civil asset forfeiture, and/or up to a 20 year prison sentence. Basically, it is the Patriot Act on steroids or the Patriot Act for the internet, and grants the government total power over regulating communications, grants the Executive branch dictatorial powers, including wartime powers, and formalizes the Fed Intelligence and Law Enforcement relationships across the digital sphere, as we saw with the exposure of the Twitter files, rather than just farming out tech censorship to the private sector.

A lot of people in mainland China are perfectly capable of getting around the so called 'Great Firewall of China' and interacting with the internet beyond it but the thing is a lot of them just flat out don't want to or don't really care all that much. Yeah sure the internet is heavily censored, but outside of that non-English spaces have gotten smaller and smaller while English takes over as the lingua franca of the internet, and they may or may not be able to read and understand English very well.

Also a lot of people on the internet beyond the 'firewall' are very hostile to them, they get treated like naive idiots or brainwashed infiltrators for the ccp. I remember a few years back when a lot of Chinese fanfic writers started uploading their stories on ao3 en masse because there had been a big uptick in websites that host fanfiction getting taken down and some people were so utterly vile about it, making jokes about how they could get the fics taken down by mentioning the Tiananmen Square massacre in the comments and things like that.

All because they were apparently offended by their favorite tags having more non-English works that can very easily filter out so they don't have to look at them at all. Because God forbid a fanfiction website that already greatly skews towards English fics have more works in other languages, right? That's like the only thing I miss about fanfiction.net, it had way more non-English fics, well that and more stories for certain fandoms than ao3 does.

And it's not like a lot of tech companies and other governments don't censor the internet to some extent or another, China isn't unique in that regard, it's just particularly infamous for being so heavy-handed and easy to use as a red herring.

finding it interesting that the brave web browser on my phone got unusably slow the other day, then works ok again after i updated it... and the newest released update from a week ago added some new ai thing. and when i searched just now for info on the tumblr archive the default search engine came up with nothing but garbage websites, not a single official tumblr link

This is a little insane to me, I saw this ad on reddit today and my first reaction was to be angry. But then, I mostly became confused. I admit the only social media sites I'm on are reddit and tumblr, but doesn't this defeat the purpose of comments? You want comments to see how people are engaging with your media, either opinions or likes or whatever. What is the point of having 100 comments if they are all bots? I know people buy bots as followers as well, but if you need to buy comments you are likely buying followers, which then becomes your entire social media experience is two different sets of "robots" just interacting with each other.

At what point does posting into an ether where no one is looking, where hundreds of ai that doesn't care about you process that information and spits out barely legible nonesense in response in an endless cycle do you give up. Because your content, whatever you post becomes irrelevent and unnescessary in this scenerio.

The direction the internet is going in is it's being catered towards the bots and ai, the censorship the suggestions, the way things are written and movies are shot it's all for an algorithm to interact with another algorithm appropriately. And humans are slowly becoming unnecessary.

internet censorship bill about to pass congress:

ao3 is facing a ddos attack from an overseas right-wing anonymous group because it contains "degeneracy and disgusting things like LGBT and NSFW".

they're not the only right-wing group that is attacking fanfiction sites because of queer & nsfw content. the Heritage foundation, the US right wing think tank that writes laws for republicans, wrote an article about how "big tech turns kids trans" in which they're advocating for the Kid's Online Safety Act to pass because it will give state attorney generals power to sue websites for "potentially harmful content towards minors". in this article they point out websites like wattpad, tumblr, tiktok, twitter as sites that GOP attorney generals can and will target for censorship if this bill passes. all places where fandom, that's mostly queer, hangs out.

if you think this bill has no chance of passing because of all the red flags it poses, think again. it currently has 38 cosponsors in the senate, and is being pushed by the democrats as a "protecting the children!!" type bill.

there are left-aligned orgs in congress rn lobbying for this bill to pass. july is extremely decisive, because if KOSA goes through to markup it'll be bundled with the Earn It act, Restrict, and all the other bad internet bills and passed as a package, completely censoring the internet forever.
