"What the herd hates most is the one who thinks differently; It's not so much the opinion itself, but the boldness of wanting to think for yourself - an ability of which they themselves are not capable." Arthur Schopenhauer.

PSA: you aint special
you are not immune to propaganda. i am not immune to propaganda. no one is immune to propaganda. this doesn't mean to just accept that you're stupid, and are destined to be indoctrinated with false information. this just means that you-no matter how smart you think are- must make a concentrated effort to question what you're being told. to do your own research and fact-check your sources. to consider multiple perspectives. now, more than ever, it is incredibly important to ask questions, to doubt, to be critical, to be a skeptic. we're living in a nation where almost every major source of information is regulated, and corrupted with government intervention. you must take conscious, intentional steps to remain a free thinker. information is more accessible now than it ever has been in human history, it is also more unreliable now than it ever has been in human history. anyone with a device and wifi connection can come onto the internet and say whatever they like and reach thousands of people with what could very well be misinformation. the substance can get very easily lost in the fluff and nonsense of the internet, and more often than not the substance is being regulated and hidden from you. figure out what you're looking for and how to find it. you must put in effort to remain educated. don't allow yourself to be blinded by your own ignorance.

Give reverence to those rare humans who touch our lives in the most significant, positive & lasting ways that lead us to individualism, leadership & free thinking. (Unmute)
OH CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN!
Tumblr media
Only five days after the war's official end, Lincoln was assassinated by the disaffected actor John Wilkes Booth. It's in the immediate wake of these events that Whitman wrote this poem, recording the country's contradictory atmosphere of celebration and devastation. O Captain! My Captain!

What if I just have to accept where I am
What if I just have to be, who I am now
What if I just have to fight to find the calm I need
What if everything is worth it, and life is actually beautiful

Silence & Free Thought
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Become the watcher and the witness of your mind; I promise it’s divine. When you become the watcher of your thoughts… witnessing silly thoughts of doubt and fear pass by like clouds… this is where you find presence. Presence is the portal for the miraculous. In presence peace and bliss are both found… but first it requires stillness. Free your mind and the rest will follow! Hope this helps!

For being "good" (by "taking" my meds) my Frogs of parents let me out of my room to take me to get ice cream. They didn't have any bug flavour (and if they catch me eating bugs again they will up my meds again) so I got strawberry

Think wrongly, if you please, but in all cases think for yourself.

There are individual benefits to always questioning reality, especially since no one can tell you factually what it’s all about. All we have are theories, so it’s best to think logically for oneself versus allowing someone else to think for you. Many people are too lazy to think for themselves or afraid to go against conventional opinion though.
