Cedric would never be the same after the Triwizard Tournament.
Not everything had changed. He was still the same loyal and compassionate boy you’d always loved, but he would never be as carefree as he once was. Slowly, his hair had been growing out; nothing major, but just enough to cover his eyes. His sleep pattern was in a downward spiral too. Almost every night, he had grim nightmares about what happened during the tournament, and it caused him to fall asleep in his classes often. He confessed to you the terrifying memories he had from the maze. You could remember in great detail when he told you about the suffocating tunnels of ivy that surrounded him as he tried to move through the maze, making it almost impossible to breathe. The experience was suffocating. He was even more scared by the overgrown roots that wrapped around him and attempted to carry him away from the cup. He clawed at them, screaming in terror for help, but nothing he could do on his own would fight them off. Now, if he got his shoe caught on something as simple as his shoelace, it would make him turn ghostly pale, getting flashbacks to the moment he could’ve lost his life.
Despite what he went through, he kept exceptional grades and still had his friends. For him, maintaining his grades wasn’t a surprise. Not only were his professors very understanding, but studying was one of the few things he could do without ever having to think about what happened that day. He was much more surprised to discover that his friends still loved him, and that he was still as popular as always. He thought his friends would be disappointed in him, but like the incredible friends they were, they adored him just as much, and respected him for the hardship he went through. More than anything, he was glad you still loved him, even if he would never be exactly the same.
However, attention and popularity were no longer what made him feel whole. When people circled him to talk to him, it often scared him. After what happened in the maze, Cedric had intense claustrophobia, and even standing in a crowded room could set him off.
After every dark thing that happened, the only real thing he could find solace in was you, his beloved support system. You knew this, and made it a point to check on him daily, especially if he didn’t talk to you for a day. That’s how you knew when it was a dreadful day for him.
Today was different. Classes were over for the day, and you hadn’t seen him once. You thought maybe it was just a coincidence you didn’t see him in the halls, but when he didn’t show up to your shared History of Magic class, you grew worried. You’d asked around about him for what felt like hours, and eventually one of his friends told you they’d seen Cedric go to his dormitory.
You contemplated what could’ve happened as you entered the Hufflepuff common room. The smell of sweets wafted through the air, and the syrupy scent filled your nose. Usually, you loved to admire the soft yellow furniture and warm lighting, but today you went straight for the boys' dorm. You pushed open the ancient creaky oak door to Cedric’s dorm, and the scene felt all too familiar to you. Before the tournament, Cedric often invited you over, but that was becoming rare as time went on. You knew he still loved you, but it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to reach out to anyone, even just to chat.
You opened the door to find Cedric on the wood floor, sitting next to his bed, with his knees to his chest. You rushed over, quickly closed the door behind you, and sat with him.
For a while, he didn’t say anything, he just softly cried. His cheeks were red, and his breathing was shallow. His favorite gold Hufflepuff sweater had droplets of water across the front from his salty tears. You wanted to engulf him in your arms, but you knew he needed his space.
“I can’t believe what I did,” he finally said, breaking the silence. The tears in his throat were audible and heartbreaking. “A group of people tried talking to me, and I just snapped,” he’s barely able to choke out the words as he begins to sob into your shoulder.
“I know Ced, it’s okay,” you say as you brush your fingers through his soft overgrown honey hair.
“I just snapped,” he says between sobs. “They were all standing so close, and I couldn’t breathe, and all I could think about was that stupid maze.” The words leave his mouth in a quick spiral, and once they’re out he grabs you like if he doesn’t, you’ll vanish. “I shouted at them,” he says, sounding dejected. Even if those students never remembered it, he was too sweet not to blame himself.
“Cedric Diggory,” you say in a strong, but concerned tone, “no one is mad at you. The people here are considerate enough to understand what you went through, and if they can’t understand it, then maybe they deserve to be yelled at.” He doesn’t respond to you, but he holds on to you a little tighter, and presses his face into your neck. His warm, soft lips meet your skin and plant a small kiss on you, and you can feel his wet, tear-stained cheeks brush against you. “Why don’t we get you some food? You’ll feel much better,” you earnestly suggest. He moves away from your neck, keeping a firm grip on your body. Despite his disheveled appearance, he sends you a grin that makes you feel like the sun has just come out after a long winter. He nods his head in agreement and stands up with you. You watch as he fixes his hair, and changes his clothes to go down to the great hall with you. When his shirt is off, you see his sculpted, toned body, and you can’t help but giggle. He blushes, and a soft shade of pink takes over his face. He sends you a wink and quickly puts on another shirt. It seemed like Hufflepuff’s golden boy was making a return.
Once you’re out of the Hufflepuff common room he takes you by the hand and twirls you around, pulling you into him with a soft smile. Your hands connect, as if they were made to hold each other, and he traces his thumb in circles on your hand.
“You are the light of my life,” he whispers into your ear, and it’s like you can hear the smile in his voice.

“Blaise, move your big arse away from my comfy spot.”
You had a tiring day of classes, and wanted nothing more than to just relax for the rest of the night. You had gone back to the Slytherin common room to hopefully see some of your friends and just wind down for the night.
Everyone in Slytherin knew there was one special spot on the lounge couch that was reserved for you. You had spent countless hours and dozens of nights in that exact spot either studying or just hanging out with friends. That was your spot, and when you came into the common room, everyone knew to make way for it.
Blaise chuckled and raised his hands in surrender. “Sorry, (Y/N), didn’t realize you’d be back so early.”
“Early?” You exclaimed as you jumped into your spot. “I’ve been busting my butt all morning for these stupid exams. I’m exhausted.”
Pansy groaned from her spot on the floor. “Why don’t you just cut yourself a break once in a while? It’s no fun when my best friend is too busy for, like, anything anymore.”
You frowned. “I’m not too busy for you! I’m here now, aren’t I?” You grabbed a blanket from the stockpile you kept in the common room, and wrapped yourself tight in it.
Pansy rolled her eyes with a smile. “Yeah, yeah. You’re just in time to hear about the latest shit with Emma.”
Pansy had a wild grudge against this poor Hufflepuff girl who didn’t even know that Pansy was beefing with her. It was quite funny, honestly, but you loved Pansy enough to let her moan on about what annoying thing Emma does everyday.
“Oh goody.” Draco came out from the stairwell into the common room with a roll of his eyes. “Another go round of how insufferable you think that Hufflepuff is.”
He glanced over to see you cocooned in your blanket and let out a soft laugh. Draco took his seat next to you and laid his arm over the back of the couch behind you.
Draco intrigued you. Over the last year, the two of you had grown quite close. You considered Draco a good friend, but you would be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t wish it were more. Draco was kind. He was flirtatious and charming, but he was sweet and gentle with you as well. Sometimes you thought Draco may have feelings for you in return, but you were far too scared to confront him about it.
“Well, for starters, we already know how much of a know it all she is, but for some reason she has to showboat just how smart she is. You’d think she was a Ravenclaw what with how obsessed she is with being correct.” Pansy said.
Blaise started to respond to her squawking when Draco shifted closer to you. Blaise’s voice drifted away as you focused your attention to Draco.
“You alright, Dray?” You asked.
He smiled slightly. “Yeah, just trying to get comfortable. Salazar knows Pansy will be talking about this nonsense for hours.”
Draco dropped his arm from the back of the couch to wrap around your shoulder and pull you into him. You could feel your heart beating out of your chest, silently hoping Draco couldn’t feel the intensity of it.
You tried to hide the grin threatening to break out on your lips as you snuggled closer to his chest. This was definitely a first for you guys. Though you and Draco had been quite flirty, he’d never been so open with his physical touch before.
“Then she had the nerve to choose me as her partner. Like I would ever consider her!” Pansy glanced over at you and did a double take when she saw you wrapped up in Draco. Her eyes grew slightly, but she averted them with a clear of her throat as to not make it obvious.
“And then, she had the audacity-“
“She really is quite obsessed with this hufflepuff, huh?” Draco whispered to you, quiet enough for Pansy not to hear.
You looked up at him. His face was so close to yours, your noses were practically touching. You bit your lip as a smile threatened your face.
“Yeah,” you whispered back as you stared into his eyes. “Leave her be though, it keeps her entertained.”
Draco chucked, his minty breath hitting your face due to your close proximity. Your own breath caught in your throat. You hadn’t realized just how close you were to him. You could feel your stomach doing cartwheels as you took in all of his glorious features up close. The glimmer in his eyes, the point of his nose, the curve of his lips.
“I didn’t see you earlier,” Draco shifted the conversation, pulling your gaze from his lips back to his eyes. “What were you doing all day, busy bee?”
You blushed at the nickname. “I was just in the library writing up essays and study guides for our finals.” You let out a yawn, the reminder of your morning making you realize just how exhausted you were.
“Sleepy?” Draco murmured in your ear.
You nodded your head with a mumbled ‘yes’, then rested your head on his shoulder. Draco wrapped his arm tight around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible. With his other hand, he softly combed his fingers through your hair.
You hummed as you closed your eyes. “You’re comfy,” you sleepily mumbled.
Draco chuckled. His fingers brushed against your cheeks every once in a while as he gently continued combing through your hair.
As you felt yourself falling asleep, you could hear Draco shushing Pansy and Blaise to ensure they didn't wake you.
✰  ✰  ✰
The next morning you wake in your bed, unsure of how you got there. You must have gone up sometime in the night and just not remembered.
With a shrug, you stood up and stretched your arms over your head. Pansy was snoring in the bed next to you. You tiptoed over to her and gently shook her awake.
“Pansy,” you called as you shook her some more. “Come on, babe, time to wake up.”
She just grumbled and swatted your hand from her shoulder. You huffed. Pansy was terrible in the mornings, and for some reason unknown to you, she didn’t believe in alarm clocks so you got stuck waking her up every morning.
A mischievous idea came to mind, and with a smirk you jumped on top of her sleeping body.
“Ahh!” She shouted as you frantically shook her awake.
“It’s wake up time, Pans! We’ve got to get ready for our charms exam this fine, beautiful morning.” You said with a laugh.
Pansy sat up and pushed you off of her so you laid on the bed instead. “Geez,” she grinned as she rubbed at her sleepy eyes. “Who knew a night with Draco would make you so chipper this morning.”
You sat upright in crisscross as your smile fell. “Wait, what?”
You had spent the night with Draco? But that didn’t make sense, you woke up by yourself in your own bed. Plus, you would have remembered if something had happened between the two of you.
Pansy saw your confused expression and chuckled. She grabbed a pillow and gently swatted you in the face with it. “Not like that, you silly. Salazar knows if you slept with Draco you’d have probably died of happiness.”
“Hey!” You whined as a blush started creeping on your cheeks. “I’m not that crazy for him.”
“Oh, please,” Pansy scoffed with a slight smile. “I saw the way you cuddled up with him last night. I almost had a heart attack for you when I saw how close you were! Go (Y/N), go (Y/N)!” She cheered.
You laughed and pushed Pansy away from you. “Shut up!” Your giggles died down as you recalled how you laid with him last night. “Was it really that obvious?”
“Girl please! I thought Draco was gonna scoop you up and run away with you. You should have seen the look on his face when you fell asleep on him. He looked at you like you hung the damn stars in the sky.”
Your heart fluttered. You knew there was something going on with you and Draco, but by the way Pansy was talking, though she had a knack for exaggeration, it sounded like he really did have a thing for you.
“So, what do I do now?” You asked as you slightly rocked back and forth on her bed.
“Are you joking?” Pansy deadpanned at you. “(Y/N/N), you gotta go get your man! I’m tired of watching you two drool like little puppies over each other just for nothing to come out of it.”
Your cheeks flushed. It had been a long time of this back and forth with Draco, and you decided you were ready to see where it got you.
“Okay, I’m gonna tell him next time I see him.” You said.
Pansy cheered. “Yes, finally! Now hurry up, I’ll help you pick a cute outfit that has ‘date me’ written all over it.”
You chuckled as Pansy eagerly jumped up and ran to your closet. She grabbed your shortest skirt, a white button up top, and your Slytherin robes.
“Pans, how is this any different than my usual outfit?” You asked as you stood from the bed and joined her near the closet.
“Ah, my sweet (Y/N), it’s not about the clothes you wear, but how you wear them.” She grinned as she threw the clothes into your hands. “Put them on so I can work my magic.”
You chuckled and stripped out of your pajamas to put on your school outfit. Turning back to Pansy, you said, “Okay, now what?”
She devilishly grinned. Pansy pulled your skirt even higher up your legs to expose just a bit more of the skin there. She unbuttoned the top two buttons of your shirt and fixed your boobs so they popped out a little bit more. She wrapped the robe around your shoulders, but let the front open so you could see everything underneath.
“And no tie,” she added, “that way your shirt can stay that way.”
You chuckled. “You get me into all these crazy shenanigans, you know that right?”
“You know you love me.”
“Yeah,” you added wearily, “but what if it’s too much? I mean, we still have to go to class. It’s not like I'm only going to see Draco.”
“Who cares?” Pansy asked as she started to dress herself in a similar manner. “Let the other boys stare and show Draco that you’re a hottie who other boys can get at if he decides he’s gonna be a wuss today.”
You laughed. Pansy always knew just how to make you feel better. “Alright, let’s get out there, then. Don’t wanna keep all the boys waiting.” You winked at her.
Pansy smirked and wrapped her arm with yours. You walked out together and down to your first class that you shared.
Luckily for you, Draco did not share the same period for charms as you. You thought if Draco was in the class you would have surely failed your final.
You felt pretty confident in your answers, and soon enough class was dismissed.
Your heart beat out of your chest as you said your goodbyes to Pansy and walked to your next class: one you shared with Draco.
Nervously, you picked at your clothes as you walked to potions. On your way there, you couldn’t help but notice all of the random students staring at you. Boys, and girls, sneaked peaks at you as you walked past them.
It felt nice to be noticed, you just hoped Draco would react in a similar way.
Speak of the devil.
There Draco stood in all his glory. He leaned against the wall outside of the potions room looking you up and down. Draco’s lip was trapped between his teeth and he sized you up.
“Bloody hell, (Y/N).” Draco mumbled, just loud enough for you to hear over your rapidly-beating heart.
Draco pushed himself off the wall and started walking towards you, meeting you halfway. He didn’t say anything. All he could do was stare. Draco knew you were gorgeous; he’d be a bloody fool to not have noticed it before, but there was something about the way you looked that made his head spin.
While he shouldn’t say it, Draco had always imagined how you would look after he’d had his way with you. He didn’t ever want to seem like a creep, you were too sweet for that, but that just made him more curious.
In all honesty, he didn’t know you had this in you.
“Uh, Draco?” You asked. Draco had zoned out as he stared at you. You could feel your cheeks getting warm and you took in how awestruck he looked.
“Hm?” He glanced back up into your eyes. “Sorry, sweetheart, you just- you just look incredible. Well, you look gorgeous everyday, just you look gorgeous and sexy if that makes sense.”
You raised an eyebrow almost teasingly. “Oh, so you think I look sexy now, huh?” You don’t know where this newfound confidence came from, but you liked the way Draco’s eyes widened as you crossed your arms over your chest, pushing your boobs out ever so slightly.
Once he recovered, a smirk adorned his handsome face. “I always think you look sexy, now I'm just seeing it in person rather than my dreams. And speaking of dreams,” Draco grinned devilishly, “how did you sleep last night, darling?”
You had almost forgotten about the confusion of the night. “I slept well. I think.” You chuckled as you pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. “I don’t exactly remember getting to bed, though. Care to enlighten me?”
Draco chuckled, “You fell asleep, quite adorably I might add, and I as the gentleman I am had the privilege of carrying you up the stairs and tucking you in for the night.”
You smiled, “how come you didn’t just wake me?”
Draco’s cheeks tinged pink. “I, uh, I just knew how tired you were from your morning and I didn’t want to disturb you. Hope that was okay.” Draco rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly.
You grinned and reached up to squeeze his arm. “It was really sweet of you, Draco.”
The two of you stared at each other for a minute, the silence held some tension, it had some longing imbedded into it.
“Draco…”
“Do you want to go out sometime?” Draco cut you off.
You gaped at him. “Like a date?”
Draco smiled, “yeah, exactly a date. I knew I’ve liked you for a little while, (Y/N), but when you cuddled up against me last night, I had this thought that I wanted to do it again. And then again after that too. You held onto like you needed me, and, uh, I really liked that.”
Draco blushed a little at his confession and shuffled his feet around nervously.
You couldn’t help but grin and wrap your arms tight around his neck. Draco was a little taken aback by your quick movement, but surely sunk into your hug and wrapped his arms around your waist.
“I’d love to go out with you, Dray,” you whispered as you were pressed so close to him. “I’ve been hoping you would ask me out for a long time.”
Draco pulled away, but still held his hands on your waist. “Sorry for keeping you waiting so long, darling.”
You giggled and grabbed Draco’s hands to pull him towards the classroom. “Come on, Slughorn doesn’t wait for anyone and I need to do good on this exam.”
Draco chuckled and let you pull him along to class. He couldn’t wait to finally take you out on a date.

It began with the smallest things.
A lingering glance across the Great Hall. A pinky brushing hers on the edge of a table. The way her laugh caught in his chest like a spell he never wanted lifted.
Cedric Diggory had fallen—quietly, hopelessly, and far too early.
They were friends. Good friends. The kind that traded books and shared inside jokes in crowded corridors. The kind who sat side by side in the library, legs brushing underneath the table, pretending it wasn’t anything. He told himself it was enough.
But it wasn’t.
She was a blur of parchment ink and candlelight, with sharp wit and a laugh that unraveled him like a charm undone. She never noticed the way his hands trembled when he passed her notes, or how he lingered every time she touched his arm in passing. She didn’t see the way his eyes followed her like poetry across a page. And he? He noticed everything.
Especially how she didn’t notice him the way he wanted her to.
── .✦
“Honestly,” Oliver said, nudging Cedric as they walked toward the Quidditch pitch, “I don’t think you’ve ever looked at a broom the way you look at her.”
Cedric rolled his eyes, cheeks coloring faintly. “Shut it, Wood.”
“She touched your shoulder this morning and you turned pinker than a Fanged Geranium,” his friend added with a smirk. “Just ask her out already.”
He didn’t respond. How could he explain the agony of wanting something so deeply, yet fearing the ruin of what already existed?
So he did what he always did. He watched her from a distance, from the corner of crowded hallways, through the haze of early morning light in the library, in the stolen moments when no one else noticed the way her fingers tapped to an invisible rhythm while she read.
── .✦
For her part, the reader—blissfully, maddeningly oblivious—had no clue.
Sure, Cedric was handsome. Okay, very handsome. But he was also sweet, soft-spoken, golden to the bone. The kind of boy who made you feel like sunlight lived in your veins. He was her friend. A good one. Always there with a smile, always listening, always warm.
She didn’t realize that the softness in his voice when he said her name was anything more than friendly. Or that the reason he always seemed to sit just close enough to graze her fingers was because he needed to feel her.
She thought she imagined the stares. The way his gaze lingered too long. The hitch in his breath when their hands brushed as they passed a quill. She didn’t realize his hands trembled not from nerves, but from need.
── .✦
“Cedric’s going to lose his mind,” murmured Angelina one evening as they all sat in the common room. “Look at him. He hasn’t taken his eyes off her for ten minutes.”
“I swear, they’re doing this on purpose,” Fred added. “Or they’re that daft.”
George leaned over, muttering loudly, “You owe me five galleons if he doesn’t confess before the Yule Ball.”
Cedric caught the end of that and sent them all a warning glare.
But it was true—he was unraveling.
He wanted to hold her hand. Not by accident. Not brushing pinkies under a table. He wanted to take her hand and never let go.
He wanted to kiss her. Not in a dream. Not in the quiet corners of his imagination where she whispered his name like a secret. But for real. For once.
── .✦
It all came undone one night under the stars.
She found him leaning against the railing of the Astronomy Tower, his tie undone, hair windswept. His back was to her, but when he turned—Merlin help her—she saw something in his eyes she hadn’t seen before.
“Hey,” she said, her voice soft.
“Hey.” He smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “Couldn’t sleep.”
“Me neither.”
Silence stretched between them, heavy and expectant. She leaned on the railing beside him, looking up at the stars.
“They’re beautiful,” she said.
“So are you,” he said without thinking.
She blinked. “What?”
His eyes met hers. “I said… you are.”
Her breath caught. “Cedric…”
“I know you don’t see it,” he whispered, stepping closer. “I know you think we’re just friends. But I’ve been falling for you since the moment we met. And it’s killing me not to tell you.”
She stared at him, wide-eyed. “You… you what?”
“I love the way your eyes light up when you talk about books. The way you bite your lip when you’re thinking. I love that you’re the smartest person I’ve ever met. That you challenge me. That you don’t back down.”
He paused, his voice almost breaking. “And I love you. Gods, I love you.”
The world stilled.
She stood frozen, heart hammering, every heartbeat screaming you fool, you didn’t see it. You didn’t see him loving you all this time.
“Cedric,” she breathed. “I… I didn’t know.”
“I know,” he said with a small laugh, brushing his fingers against hers, hesitant, like he was afraid she’d pull away. “I was just hoping someday you would.”
She looked down, saw their pinkies barely touching. And this time—this time—she hooked hers around his.
He exhaled like he’d been holding his breath for a lifetime.
“I think I’ve been falling too,” she whispered. “I was just too blind to realize what this was.”
And then—then he kissed her.
It was like fireworks behind her eyelids, soft and slow and filled with everything unsaid. His hands cradled her face like she was made of stardust, and when he pulled away, they were both breathless.
“Say it again,” she whispered, her forehead resting against his.
“I love you.”
And under the stars, wrapped in each other’s arms, fingers intertwined like a promise sealed, she finally said it back.
And meant it.
── .✦
Being with Cedric was like falling asleep in your favorite chapter and waking up inside a fairytale.
Warm hands. Soft glances. The kind of love that bloomed quietly, but settled in deep. The kind that was tucked into mundane things—the way he always remembered how you took your tea, the way his hand found yours beneath the table, pinkies brushing before fingers fully entwined.
You were his. He was yours. And everyone knew it.
That didn’t mean Cedric was above getting a little… territorial.
── .✦
It started with a harmless interaction—at least, to you.
You were walking across the courtyard after Herbology when Michael Corner approached you, all bright smiles and way-too-familiar charm. He was going on about something—tutoring, or maybe a Hogsmeade trip, you hadn’t really been listening—when you felt it.
The unmistakable presence of Cedric Diggory, warm and thundercloud-silent beside you.
“Corner,” Cedric said, his voice pleasant. Too pleasant.
Michael stiffened. “Oh, hey Cedric. Didn’t see you there.”
“I bet,” Cedric said smoothly, slipping an arm around your waist like it was second nature. (It was.)
You blinked up at him, amused. “Hi, love.”
His gaze didn’t leave Michael’s. “Hey, sweetheart.”
The poor boy stammered something about seeing you later and practically sprinted away.
As soon as he was out of earshot, you turned to Cedric, raising a brow. “Was that necessary?”
“He was flirting with you,” Cedric said, clearly unconcerned about how obvious his jealousy was.
You laughed, heart fluttering at the hint of pink in his ears. “You’re ridiculous.”
“Maybe,” he muttered, kissing your forehead. “But you’re mine.”
── .✦
Later that night, in the comfort of the Hufflepuff common room, you found yourselves curled up on one of the couches, a blanket draped over your legs, the fire crackling softly beside you. Cedric had an arm around your shoulders, and you were tracing shapes on his chest absentmindedly.
“Still mad at Michael Corner?” you teased, pressing a kiss to his jaw.
“I’m not mad,” Cedric mumbled, though he was still pouting faintly. “Just… observant.”
You chuckled. “Well, your powers of observation are unparalleled.”
“Oh, shut up,” he said, eyes crinkling with laughter.
You smiled and shifted, brushing your lips along the curve of his neck—soft and deliberate.
The effect was immediate.
Cedric froze, his entire body going tense, and a soft breath hitched in his throat.
You paused, eyes curious. “Cedric?”
“N-Neck,” he stammered, cheeks flushing pink. “Sensitive.”
You blinked. Then slowly, very slowly, smiled.
“Well now that’s useful information.”
“I’m regretting everything,” he muttered, but his hand tightened on your thigh and he was definitely not pushing you away.
You kissed his neck again, just below his ear this time, and he practically melted into the cushions.
“Merlin, you’re going to be the death of me,” he whispered, voice low and breathless.
You hummed, pressing one last kiss to his throat before settling against him. “At least you’ll die loved.”
He chuckled, lips brushing your temple. “That I will.”
── .✦
Sometimes, your days were filled with classes and jokes and teasing hands. Other days, they were quiet. Stolen kisses behind bookshelves, love notes tucked into your textbooks in Cedric’s neat handwriting. “For luck,” he’d say with a wink, handing you a daisy before every test.
And every now and then, he’d pull you aside, press you against the nearest wall, and kiss you like the world was ending. Desperate. Tender. Like you were everything he’d ever wanted.
Because you were.
And he? He was everything you hadn’t even known to wish for.
── .✦
One evening, after one of those wall-kiss moments that left you breathless and flushed, you looked up at him with soft eyes and whispered, “Still jealous?”
“Every bloody day,” he whispered against your lips. “Because I know exactly how lucky I am.”
You kissed him again—neck included.
And somewhere between the tangled fingers, the laughter, and the stolen kisses, you both realized something—
This was it.
The love worth waiting for.
── .✦
It started as a game.
A game where your fingers ghosted up Cedric’s arm in the library, where your lips brushed his jaw just to see the way his breath hitched. A game where you leaned in a little too close when he was trying to focus, your voice soft and honey-sweet against the shell of his ear:
“Still mad about Michael Corner?”
The poor boy choked on air.
He had been trying to finish his Potions essay, quill poised with all the noble concentration of a scholar. But then—then—you had curled into his side and began your mission: Operation Drive Cedric Diggory Absolutely Mad.
It was harmless. Almost.
Until your lips found that spot on his neck again.
That tiny space just below his ear, where his breath would catch and his shoulders would tense and that pink flush would rise like ink in water.
“You’re doing it on purpose,” he mumbled, eyes heavy-lidded, voice lower than usual. Half accusation. Half moan.
You only smiled. “Doing what, love?”
“That.”
You blinked up at him innocently. “Kissing my boyfriend?”
He gave you a look, but it quickly shattered the moment you trailed kisses down the side of his throat, lingering longer this time. You sucked softly, gently—just long enough to leave the ghost of a bruise, and he whimpered. His head tilted back, jaw tight, hands clenched in the fabric of your robes like you were the only tether to the earth.
You pulled away slowly, admiring your handiwork. A small, perfect mark blooming like firelight on his pale skin.
“Darling…” he warned, voice wrecked, “you know I’ve got class after this—”
“Oh, I know,” you purred, lips brushing his collarbone. “You’ll just have to wear your scarf, won’t you?”
He groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “You are so evil.”
You tilted your head, all mock innocence. “And you love it.”
He sighed dramatically, pulling you into his lap with both arms wrapped firmly around your waist. “Unfortunately.”
You grinned and nosed at his neck again.
“You do realize,” he murmured, voice laced with fondness and a hint of vengeance, “that this means war.”
You gave him one final, featherlight kiss just below his jaw. “Bring it on, Diggory.”
── .✦
Later that day in Charms class, everyone noticed the scarf.
Cedric, flushed pink from ear to ear, wore it indoors with grim determination. His friends didn’t even try to hold back their laughter.
“Bit nippy in here, isn’t it, Diggory?” Lee Jordan teased.
“Yeah,” added George, winking, “You catch a chill from all that… snogging?”
Cedric shot a helpless look at you across the room—and found you smirking like the devil in an angel’s uniform.
He was doomed. Doomed and in love.
And he wouldn’t have it any other way.
── .✦
It was subtle at first.
Too subtle.
You should’ve known Cedric Diggory wouldn’t let your little neck hickey escapade go unanswered. He was the golden boy of Hufflepuff—sweet on the outside, but competitive and cunning when he wanted to be. And right now?
He wanted you flustered.
Badly.
It began one lazy afternoon in the courtyard. You were leaning against an ancient pillar, sun warming your back as you flipped through your Transfiguration notes. Cedric walked over with that slow, confident stride—hands tucked in his pockets, hair tousled by the wind, and the faintest glimmer of mischief in those warm amber eyes.
“Hi, love,” he greeted, voice soft and casual.
You smiled without looking up. “You’ve forgiven me for the scarf incident, I hope?”
“Oh, definitely,” he said, sitting beside you. “Water under the bridge.”
You arched a brow. “Really?”
“Mmhm,” he hummed innocently. “I’ve just decided I like playing the long game.”
You blinked, opening your mouth to ask what he meant—only to feel his fingers skim just above your knee, slow and deliberate, ghosting up the bare skin beneath your uniform skirt.
You inhaled sharply.
“Cedric.”
“Yes, darling?”
“You’re playing with fire.”
He leaned in, voice low against your ear. “Then burn me.”
And suddenly, it was you who couldn’t focus. He didn’t stop there, of course. Over the next week, Cedric launched a full-blown charm offensive, designed specifically to destroy your composure.
Trailing fingers down your spine when no one was watching. Whispering teasing little things into your ear during class. Tugging you onto his lap and pretending to be all innocent when your breath caught at the way he nuzzled your neck—your spot.
“I’m just cold,” he’d say with a wicked smile. “You wouldn’t let your boyfriend freeze, would you?”
He even whispered poetry into your ear once in the library. Poetry.
With his lips brushing your jaw.
You were doomed.
── .✦
But one evening, in the quiet of the Hufflepuff common room, you decided to strike back.
You were curled up beside him on the couch again, his head resting lazily against yours. Everyone else was asleep, and moonlight streamed through the tall windows in soft, silver streaks.
Your hand slid up his chest, featherlight, and then—slowly—you pressed a single, deliberate kiss to his neck.
Cedric froze.
You smiled. “Still sensitive?”
He gave a shaky little breath. “Maybe.”
You pressed another, slower kiss just beneath his jaw.
Then, grazed your teeth against the skin. Gently. Teasing.
He let out the softest, most delicious sound—half gasp, half groan—and before you could smirk, he was on you.
Not in a rough way. No. Cedric Diggory kissed like he meant it.
Like he’d waited a thousand lifetimes just to kiss you again.
He pulled you into his lap, hands splayed against your back, and kissed you until the world blurred around the edges. Until time forgot how to tick.
And in that in-between—the hush of hearts speaking louder than words—he pulled back just enough to whisper:
“Do you have any idea how mad I am for you?”
You touched his cheek, breathless and smiling, eyes shining. “Maybe. But I’d love to hear it again.”
He grinned, then leaned down to your ear.
“I am so incredibly, hopelessly, stupidly in love with you.”
And then he kissed your neck, right where he knew it would make you shiver.
Your breath hitched.
“Told you,” he murmured smugly, lips brushing your skin, “long game.”
── .✦
It was only fair you got the final revenge.
After all, Cedric Diggory had been a menace lately. A beautiful, golden, completely infuriating menace.
From the way he murmured poetry into your ear like a secret spell, to the way he brushed his thumb over your lips whenever you looked distracted. He made you feel like you were the center of the entire universe, like gravity bent to your smile.
So, of course, he deserved to be utterly ruined.
── .✦
You waited until a particularly quiet evening, when most of the castle was either at dinner or tucked into study sessions. You grabbed Cedric’s hand and whispered, “Come with me,” and because he was hopelessly in love with you, he didn’t even hesitate.
You led him to an empty classroom, tucked behind the charms corridor—dim, forgotten, echoing with a gentle hum of candlelight.
He blinked. “What are we doing here?”
You only smiled and tugged him in by the collar.
Then kissed him. Hard.
Your hands slid into his hair, fingers tugging softly, guiding him into the kind of kiss that stole breath and burned slow. Cedric gasped against your lips, stumbling back until he hit the old professor’s desk, hands bracing himself behind him as you kissed him like you owned him.
And maybe you did.
“Love,” he breathed, “what—”
You leaned in, brushing your lips along the line of his jaw. “You wanted a game. I’m playing to win.”
He groaned, head tilting instinctively when you began kissing his neck. Soft. Slow. Deliberate. You sucked gently at the skin just below his ear, just where he always lost it—and sure enough, his knees nearly buckled.
“Merlin,” he gasped, “I—I can’t—”
“You can,” you whispered against his throat. “Because you started this.”
Your kisses grew slower, messier. He slid his hands under your shirt, fingers ghosting over your spine like he needed to touch as much of you as possible. But when you nipped at that sensitive spot behind his ear, he whimpered.
Actual. Whimper.
And you couldn’t help but laugh softly against his neck as he buried his face into your shoulder and said:
“I’m never going to survive you, am I?”
You smiled, breathless. “Not a chance.”
── .✦
The next morning, Cedric didn’t meet your eyes at breakfast.
Face red. Ears pink. Voice cracked when he tried to say “pumpkin juice.”
And when his friend—Oliver, bless him—raised a brow at the bright red hickey blooming on Cedric’s neck?
Cedric choked on his toast and nearly fell off the bench.
You winked at him across the table.
He buried his face in his hands. “I hate you,” he mumbled.
You kicked him under the table. “No you don’t.”
And he peeked at you through his fingers, lips twitching.
“…No,” he said softly. “I don’t.”
── .✦
Later that day, you found Cedric waiting outside your class, arms crossed, smile warm and dangerously soft.
“You,” he said as you approached, “are evil.”
You kissed his cheek. “Still love me?”
He pulled you into his arms, pressing his forehead to yours.
“With every bone in my body. With every beat in my chest. With every piece of me you’ve ever touched.”
“I’m yours.”
You paused, blinking up at him with wide eyes.
Then whispered, “Forever?”
His hands found yours, pinkies linking first—always—and then fingers fully entwining.
“Forever.”
── .✦
And if he pressed you against a stone wall somewhere quiet later, kissing you like the sun rose only for you, well—
That was between you, Cedric, and the blooming heat in your chest that said this was real.
This was everything.
This was love.

TRADITIONS | CEDRIC DIGGORY | ONESHOTS
Tumblr media
summary — after a particularly hard year, your boyfriend, cedric, tries to give you a better chance of gaining extra luck.
word count — 1.7k
warnings — none, fluff!
author’s note — hufflepuff reader! seventh year students! no war/triwizard tournament mention because that’s sad! also this was a cheesy idea and it was supposed to be posted yesterday…oops. happy new year!
Tumblr media
as the year came to an end you were silently thanking yourself, hoping for a better outcome for the next year. every turn you took it was disarray and according to professor trelawney. you predicted your terrible misfortune in divination and it followed you all year and into your summer as well as the next school year.
“bleek indeed, oh yes, i see it too,” she said, reading all of your assignments. some people took her thick glasses as a joke, not even being able to see normally, so why would she be able to see regularly? though you all thought they were wrong, everything you calculated in the stars and matched with the planets pointed you to a particularly annoying year. lost things, unorganized planning, common mistakes, death of a grandparent, anything that was awful was placed in front of you.
the only thing that wasn't in shambles was your relationship. dating the captain of your house’s quidditch team wasn’t so bad especially when cedric tried to turn your awful days into good ones. well the good parts would last until you were in your dorm and something unfortunate was happening like using the wrong product in your hair, stubbing your toe so badly that the nail came up, or losing the two pages of parchment for an assignment that was due in the morning. well honestly, the things were so minute but when it happened constantly and so close together it was driving you mad.
the last straw was being unable to return home for winter break due to your parents being away on a business trip. there was no point in spending the holidays alone if it was the same way you would spend them at school. cedric was on a father-son camping trip in the middle of the wilderness. he wrote occasionally, but you understood the logistics of spending time with family and appreciated the letters when they did come.
you sat in the common room, curled into the armchair closest to the fire revising your study notes for the n.e.w.t. examinations that would be there in a few short months. if the new year didn’t bring any more luck, it was going to be forced to bring good scores for final examinations.
“y/n, darling?”
“ced, hold on I’m almost done with—” you paused for a moment and looked up from your notes. your ears did not deceive you. you hopped out of the chair quickly, the cup of tea on the table next to you falling to the ground with a large thunk. you cringed slightly as you held cedric in a tight embrace. “oh merlin, you said you wouldn’t be back until after winter break.”
“you’re right, but i couldn’t leave you for the entire time. i did miss you.” he waved his wand swiftly, the glass was repaired and the spilled liquid had dissipated. “i also had a quick think and figured we could increase your chances for the new year.” he pulled out a piece of parchment, ideas scrawled on it from top to bottom. little doodles and arrows accented the page. he rubbed the small of your back as he released from the hug, pushing the paper quickly back into his pocket so all of his surprises wouldn't be revealed.
“go to my dorm, and i’ll be back,” he said handing you his duffle bag. you were a bit confused but decided to go easily and follow his directions. cedric tended to have everything figured out for whatever he was planning. you saw a few people in the halls of the common room, but nothing like when school is in session. most of the hufflepuffs went to the party in the great hall, having a feast on the eve of the new year. there were small discussions about sneaking to the greenhouse, but you decided to not pay any attention to those knowing you weren’t going to be present.
you lugged his duffle bag to the boys’ dormitory and weren't surprised to find it empty. his area of the room looked rather clean in comparison to the others. you began to unpack his bag for him, doing small things for him would hopefully make up for the hardships he had to deal with taking care of you during the year. you looked at the clock, only four hours until the new year was upon them.
there was a wrapped package in the bag with your name on it. you set it aside until cedric returned with a bowl of grapes and onions. you stared at him suspiciously, looking at the strange combination.
“what are we doing?” you asked, sitting on his bed, and examining the package closer as he put a tied string of onions in your hand. the package felt lumpy and misshapen, whatever cedric had in mind you couldn’t figure it out.
“i am providing you with a bit of extra luck for next year,” he said with a smirk, going to the windows and opening them. the winter air entered sharply, causing you to shiver. he opened the door to the room and propped it with the edge of a table. “now go hang those over there.” he said pointing at the outside of the wooden door.
you wiggled the onions and laughed, making your way to the door and placing them on the doorknob. the fire was soon lit to keep the room at a steady temperature rather than being completely miserable from the wind. “you think onions will give me enough luck to get over this hump?”
cedric kissed the top of your head and unwrapped part of the package you were examining, three different items were placed on the bed. “maybe not just the onions, trying a few different methods that i think even professor trelawney would be proud of.” he said handing you a circular package marked with a number one.
“plates?” you said unwrapping the paper. “for the grapes?” two white ceramic saucers were in your hands.
“no we smash these on the doorstep, the more shards the better.” you handed one to cedric who took great honor in letting you go first. you had a bit of an angry throw, letting some of your misfortunes from the year guide the saucer onto the ground.
cedric then threw his with a bit of disappointment, watching it only break into three pieces. “oh come on ced, you’ve got to try harder than that you want to win me some luck.” you said handing him a piece. you took the liberty of slamming the other two into the ground.
“next thing,” he said excitedly, handing you the second package which was much smaller. it revealed two white and red polka-dotted scarves.
you did a little spin with them and wiggled them goofily as though you were a ribbon dancer.
“polka dots are all the rage in the philippines this time of year.” cedric laughed as he put it around your neck and then laid his around his shoulders. you both looked rather out of place but ignored the ridiculousness and instead embraced the fun.
cedric grabbed your hand and bowed, much like the year prior at the yule ball. you grabbed your wand from the bed and turned on the radio. the music that was playing was upbeat and festive, occasionally the announcers would be counting down the songs until it was midnight.
“i think you need to wear this more often, it brings out your cheeks,” you said complimenting the taller male.
“i can only hope you’re still saying that after the next item.” you laughed into his chest as he glanced towards the bed nervously. even if cedric’s thoughtful antics wouldn’t work this would be a night to remember. “though before we get to that something was supposed to—” he stopped speaking as he heard an extra swish and whizz out the window.
three hufflepuff players on their broomsticks were flying by. “go!” he shouted out the window. you joined his side to look at the commotion. fireworks exploded into the shape of stars and flurries of galaxies. your eyes were filled with wonderment at the small fireworks show.
“good on ya!” he shouted again, bringing you in close to his side. the quidditch players soon disappeared into the night, most likely going to get on with their own new year’s business.
“now, close your eyes because this one isn’t as fun.” you held in your hands out for the last package but nothing was put in them. you could hear cedric laughing as he fiddled with something being placed on your head.
“open.”
when you open your eyes you can’t contain yourself. cedric had a pair of white boxer briefs on his head like a hat and when you looked in the mirror you held your stomach to contain yourself. “underwear? on our heads?” you asked through your giggling fit.
“well, i wasn’t going to succeed in secretly putting them on you,” he said, kissing your forehead, right where the underwear band sat.
“hopefully these new tidy whities will bring you harmony and peace.”
the radio went off again, announcing there were ten minutes until the new year.
“oh and speaking of that,” he patted the bed and held the bowl of grapes. “i hope you can eat twelve grapes before the clock stops chiming while simultaneously jumping off the bed onto your right foot.”
you and cedric spent the next few minutes mastering jumping off the bed and stabilizing onto one foot as he told you about all of the traditions he researched.
when the clock struck midnight you were stuffing grapes into your mouth and chewing as fast as you could. you took your leap off the bed while still chewing and landed it perfectly, with a little help from cedric who let you use his arm as leverage. the last two grapes were being swallowed as you screamed with joy because you had finished all twelve before it was too late.
“ced, this was the best new years celebration i’ve ever had. thank you,” you said softly, falling into his chest easily. your eyes were locked onto his, as you swayed to the music on the radio.
“your final tradition is this one,” he said, leaning down and placing a kiss on your lips. it was well-needed and well-deserved. you felt his hands protectively hold your hips as you kissed. you held the end of his polka-dotted scarf and smiled into the kiss.

harry having a crush on you wouldn’t be one of the most unexpected things, given you’ve been best friends since 3rd year. the thing you never realized though, was how must trust he had in you.
it took him a lot to let someone in the way he did for you. you never expected it, but he was so comfortable around he could sleep by your side without having nightmares, waking up without a worry.
or that he was so comfortable that he could talk to you and never run out of words to say, no awkward eye contact, nothing.
until recently, when ron began teasing him every moment you walked in the room while harry was there.
he made kissing noises, pushing you two closer together, anything he could do to make more tension between you two, as if there wasn’t enough already.
since summer after sirius’s death, he wrote letters to you everyday. some slightly flirty, such as “i can’t wait to see you beautiful”, or even “i just get so nervous around you.”
as you grew and went back to hogwarts returning for your sixth year, harry’s crush also grew on you.
— 𝑹𝑶𝑵 𝑾𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑳𝑬𝒀
he’s so not good at hiding things like this, constantly tripping over his own feet for you, making terrible jokes every time you’re around, and being flustered even after a simple wave.
although it seemed dorky or cheesy, you loved it about him. the way he was so sweet yet funny at the same time, and also the fact that his family already loved you, molly the most.
spending holidays at the burrow with his family had been a regular occurrence, but as you grew closer with ron over the years you realized just how caring he could be.
even if his brothers teased you both or spat ridiculous jokes at him for it, it never truly bothered you. it’s been obvious more lately, but in the past ron was always there for you.
always by your side, insisting he never leaves unless you’re truly alright. soon, he realized these feelings grew into more than being there for you. he wanted it to be being there for you everyday, or waking up and seeing you by his side everyday.
he’s flustered whenever you’ve been around more recently, insisting you sit next to him or even having a close arm around you.
— 𝑪𝑬𝑫𝑹𝑰𝑪 𝑫𝑰𝑮𝑮𝑶𝑹𝒀
he’s not shy with it around you, but also not fully confident. becoming cedric’s friend after seeing his hard work in the tournament, yet not bragging about it, made him seem even more of a kind-hearted person.
that was the thing you loved most about him, the was he was never shy or nervous around you, even when his feelings for you were obvious, he was always confident.
him crushing on you didn’t start to long after the tournament, as you two quickly became close. he’d even take you out with just you two, which of course wasn’t normal for “two friends”.
he felt no need to hide it, yet still be flirty and respectful towards you. he was quickly comfortable with you and always had been, but ever since he spent more time around you he wanted to be in your space all the time. around you, with you, and by your side at all times.
— 𝑫𝑹𝑨𝑪𝑶 𝑴𝑨𝑳𝑭𝑶𝒀
being potions partners gave you a good reason to be close to draco, but you never realized you’d be more than close with him.
you’d become close with him over the past year, even if his friends teased at him every day for it. he hadn’t even began to worry about what his father would think, all he could think of was you.
after becoming so caring and trusting for him, he eventually realized he couldn’t hold his feelings back. he hadn’t showed it though, no. he knew he couldn’t, with the reputation he had at school and his father barging in his life almost every day, he couldn’t just show his feelings.
as others would tease him and you, he slightly would too. not extremely, but questioning why you’d ever be his friend.
although he realized he didn’t mean it, he’d never say it. admitting his feelings was something he wasn’t ready to do, but simply crushing on you or even being protective over you was something he was ready for.

You didn't burn those flowers, did you|t.nott part 2
part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: Sometimes it's better for us if our prayers are not listening by anyone.
parings: Theodore Nott x fem!reader
warnings: bad grammar, lack of self -respect
word counts: 2131
author's note: It's part 2 and I hope y'all going to enjoy this. Also I started working on something bigger than one shots so I hope that you're going to like this.
Tumblr media
Love is like poison, once you will be loved by a person, you’re going to end up in pain. The only thing that love is doing it’s just crushing your soul and you will never be the same.
“You didn't burn those flowers, did you?” Mattheo asked.
This night was so peaceful with a bright sky and music blasting somewhere behind us. I couldn’t see Theo tonight. He was way too drunk and his eyes once blue now was just dark and full of hatred.
“I couldn’t. I’m still hoping that he’s going to change. He’s going to talk to me.” I responded and passed him a pack of cigarettes.
Mattheo sighed and took one cigarette from the pack. Then he lit my cigarette. I really appreciated the fact that he was worrying about me. I decided to give him a chance because deep down I know that he liked me. We both know that I still loved Theo.
Ever since we barely see Nott. And when we were seeing him, he was drunk or high. I lose all hope that he’s going to talk not only to me but also the rest of our group.
“So now you and Mattheo are a thing.” Pansy theoretical asked.
“Yeah… but he knows that I still have feelings for Theo and I didn’t burn those fucking flowers. I don’t think that I will ever be ready to do this” I responded.
Pansy looked at me and started to look for her favorite black skirt. I was really hoping that she’s going to say something but she didn’t do it. When I was finishing my makeup, she came closer. She sat down and at this moment I started to regret my wish. She was doing that when she wanted to tell me about something which wasn’t really good news to me.
“If you want to drop Mattheo and run back to your ex, just keep it in mind that Cedric is single,” she said.
“Pansy what the fuck are you talking about?” I screamed at her.
“When I was looking for a Nott because I wanted to ask him about a book I borrowed to him I heard something” she responded.
“Girl, don't try my patience” I said.
“Cedric was talking about getting back to you because you two did a project together. He didn’t tell what you two were doing but he was getting at you cheating Theo with him.” Pansy stated.
“You're kidding right?” I asked.
“If you want to take this as a joke then yes.” she ironically responded.
“Fuck me.” I commented.
“What do you want to do with this?” she asked.
“Well I want to show him that me and him hooking up was just a simple mistake.” I responded.
Pansy nodded her head and started talking about her idea of revenge. I was just simply in shock because me and Cedric agreed that our relationship has to end. When Pansy was ready we went to a party and I decided to play a game with Cedric.
I was sitting at the counter. Mattheo was touching my thigh. And I saw Cedric sitting on the couch with Aurelie. He knew exactly what he was doing.
“Go and talk to Aurelie, I know that you like her now.” I told to Mattheo.
“You sure?” he asked.
“Yes, we both know that we like to flirt with each other but you can’t kiss me because you’re going to betray Theo and I can’t kiss you because I love him. Holding hands and cuddling it’s nothing. So go and talk to her.” I responded and playfully hit his head.
I couldn’t wait long for him and Aurelie disappearing outside. I jumped off the counter and went to Cedric. I sat at his lap. The best part was that he wasn’t surprised, it was almost like he wanted me to do it.
“Tell me, this is what we did, when we were doing a project” I asked.
I knew that his friends were looking at us and were interested in this situation. So I kissed him on the cheek. I knew what I was doing but I didn’t know that Theo was here and he was looking. But when he saw this he just left. I mean that’s what Lorenzo told me after.
“Or maybe we were doing this” I stated.
His face turned red because I didn’t knew what he told his friends and his friends were smiling, some of them were laughing.
“That’s what I thought. Next time, when you decide to make out with me while doing a project, just tell me what we did because I still don’t know. And I think I’m supposed to know.” I said.
Then I headed to the yard. I needed to smoke. It didn’t last long when the yard was full of people who wanted to know what just happened. I was making myself a drink when Cedrics’ friends were telling everyone what happened. I was really glad that some of our friends had a house where we could drink on the weekends. Once the party was over, a new week has come.
Something changed after that party. Me and Mattheo were still flirting because Aurelie and any other girl didn’t last long as befits Mattheo. Lorenzo was still a loser when it comes to drinking and poor Blaise had to take care of him. Pansy and Draco would still make out with us in one room. It was all the same but the change was in Theo. He was still intoxicated when we were seeing him but we could see him frequently. I mean I was seeing him more often than the rest of us. But he still refused to talk to us.
One time Pansy and I were talking about a borrowed book and even though Nott didn’t talk to us, he gave it back. He didn’t come to us and gave it back but the next day a book was laying in front of our bedroom. He was attending Quidditch again. He was signing me to be his partner at every work even though he was doing this all by himself. This is how three weeks passed. When we were all sitting in the common room when Elijah came with a big smile on his face.
“My dear friends, I will be throwing a party on Friday, so feel free to come and get drunk” he screamed, “And my dear Y/N, Cedric is also invited so yall can make a clusterfuck again” he added.
I sarcastically smiled in response.
“Oh come on girl, after your whatever that was everyone was concentrating on you and made a pretty big mess in my yard.” Elijah said.
“Thanks for reminding me. I would kill myself without this quick reminder.” I responded.
Elijah looked at me and smiled.
“Do you think that Theo is going to be there?” Blaise asked.
“I guess so.” I responded.
Before the party I decided to go to Muggle world for a pack of cigarettes. It was way much better than ours. It took me too long so I arrived a bit late. I always wonder how Elijahs’ parents never realized what was happening in their house. When I was inside I realized that I might have arrived too late because Lorenzo was already drunk. It’s not like he needed much alcohol, I just knew that at first they don’t drink too much. They are always waiting for some kind of drama and then the party begins. I was looking for Theo but I couldn’t find him, so I just sat down with my friends.
“Do you have it?” Pansy asked so I showed her a pack of cigarettes.
“Here’s your drink” Mattheo said while passing me a coup.
The smell was so strong and I knew that today I’m not walking by myself but someone is going to carry me from this house.
Many drinks after, Theo came. He was already drunk so TROUBLE was screaming loudly. All of us were waiting for him to do something but he went to make himself a drink.
Then to our surprise he sat with us.
He sat next to me.
The silence was so loud even though the party was yobby. He didn’t even look at us. He was just sitting. I was chugging my drink and thanks to the drunk Lorenzo, the silence was over. He started saying stupid things and Pansy started to respond to him. After a while they all were again loud but I felt really uncomfortable. When I was about to stand and go to make another drink, he grabbed my cup to make me a drink.
“You should just chill Y/N and be natural.” Draco stated.
“Easier said than done…” I said but I was interrupted by a glass bump.
Theo decided to bring alcohol to our table. I looked over and saw Cedric. He was looking at me and if Lorenzo was telling the truth and Theo saw what I did last time, I wasn’t surprised that he brought alcohol here.
After a drink Pansy and Draco just disappeared, Lorenzo went to some bedroom to sleep. So on the couch was me, Theo, Blaise and Mattheo. I chugged four more drinks and I knew that I had to stop. I was way too drunk so I decided to go outside to smoke but I took a drink with me. I also couldn’t stand Theo, I was happy that he’s with us but the way he acted, more like he didn't act unbearable.
I went to the end of the yard and the wind was whipping me gently. It was still night. Music was softly blasting and there was no one outside so I could be alone for a minute. But to be honest I don’t know how long I was sitting there. I knew that drink and half of cigarettes were gone.
When I got inside the mess was insane. A lot of broken glasses and blood. Fucking blood. I could feel like my heart stopped for a second. I sober up in a second. I started to look around but I couldn’t find him. But I saw Cedric all in blood. And I knew what happened. I started to look for Mattheo or Blaise. I found Blaise by the exit when he was looking for Theo.
“What happened?” I asked.
“Y/N” Blaise said while hugging me, “you didn’t come back for a solid hour and we didn’t see you in the yard so Mattheo went to look for you.” he added.
“I was just sitting at the very last corner of it,” I said.
“Yes, that’s the problem. It’s dark and we always know where you smoke.” he responded to me.
“I know, I just needed to be alone for a second and I’m sorry for worrying you.” I said, “but what happened to Cedric?” I asked.
“You weren’t coming back and Cedric started to make up the stories of you two doing a project. So Theo went to him and started to fight. Then he grabbed alcohol and just left.” Blaise responded.
“How long ago did he leave?” I asked.
“10 minutes maybe.” Blaise responded.
“I’m going to look for him. I might know where he is.” I stated.
I knew that Blaise didn’t want me to go alone and drunk at night but it was the only way to find Theodore.
The night was still peaceful but my heart wasn’t. The only place he could go was the heathland. We were always going for some privacy there because only we knew where it was. As I was closer and closer I could hear him breaking a bottle.
“Theodore, can we talk!” I screamed when I was close enough.
He decided to ignore me and just walk by.
“Theo, can you just fucking stop!” I screamed again.
He ignored me again so I decided to walk faster to him. When I was by his side, I grabbed his wrist. He pushed me but I did it again. This time he stopped walking but he didn’t look at me.
“Teddy, let’s just talk.” I calmly said.
He grabbed me by my cheeks and kissed me. It was a long and passionate kiss but something was off.
“I don’t want to talk. I just want you to love me but you had to choose fucking Cedric. At first I didn’t believe the rumors but then I saw how you smiled at each other. Every time you two were together, you were laughing a lot and I knew that he makes you feel good. And then the fact that they knew was even worse. Because that day I lost not only a girl I love more than anything but also my friends. And then I saw you and Cedric at that party and I realized that I need to let you go even though I still love you.” Theo said.
He was still holding my face so I grabbed his arm so he couldn’t just go away.
“It’s not like that,” I said and then I explained everything to him. I knew that he wanted to listen to me because he let me talk.
“I’m sorry, I really mean this. I love you and I don’t want to lose you ever again.” he whispered to my ear while hugging me.
“Let’s clean you up.’’ I said and gave him a peck on the lips.
I wanted to start over, he wanted to start over and it was all that mattered to me.
“You didn't burn those flowers, did you?” Theo asked but it sounded more like he wanted to convince himself.
“I prayed that these flowers would burn on their own, because I couldn’t do it.” I responded and hugged him even tighter.

“There’s Plenty of Kish in The Sea, Right?”
Fred Weasley x Reader Part 1
Day 8 of the 13 Nights of Halloween Spooktacular!!!
Masterlist | Part 1 | Part 2
Tumblr media
(Gif not mine)
Requested? No
Summary: Cedric wants to be a champion. (Y/n) wants him to live to see the end of the school year. Freddie just wants to be (Y/n)’s boyfriend…
Warnings: starred out swear words, jealous Freddie, Angst-kinda
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Fem!Reader (you’re a Hufflepuff)
(Y/n/n) - your nickname
Tumblr media
The room was practically buzzing with anticipation. Dinner had been over and done with for what felt like ages, and yet no one had dared move from their seats. They remained, waiting. Because tonight was a big night. Tonight the students of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang would find out who had been chosen to compete in this years Triwizard Tournament.
“Calm down, Ced.” (Y/n) tried, her housemate and best friend practically bouncing in his seat, the anxiety flowing off of him in almost visible waves. (Y/n) herself was substantially less nervous, seeing as how her birthday wasn’t for a few more months and she was therefore ineligible for the event. Not that she’d have entered, anyhow. She valued her life, thank you very much. Cedric, however…
“I can’t help it (Y/n)! This is a huge deal! Finally, my chance to make something of myself… Ever since Harry got here it’s like I’m not good enough anymore and-“ Cedric ran his fingers through his hair in distress, (Y/n) frowning at his words, cutting him off with a comforting pat on the shoulder.
“Okay, calm down.” She ordered, the boy turning his body to look at her as she continued, knowing full well the true reasoning behind his nerves, and not liking his self-deprecation one bit… “Look, I know you want to make your dad proud, Ced. But, he loves you. And I’m sure he’ll love you just as much even if you don’t get chosen.” She ran her hand along his back in what she hoped were soothing circles, to which she was proven correct when the taller lad sunk into her embrace with a sigh.
“Thanks, (Y/n/n)… I suppose you’re right…” He mumbled, resting his head on her shoulder. (Y/n) chucked in response.
“Aren’t I always?” She asked, earning herself a playful shove back which had them both giggling. “You know, I’m still not even sure what would posses a person to want to do something like this.” (Y/n) noted, running her hand through Cedric’s hair mindlessly, as she voiced her thoughts on the tournament for what was quite possibly the millionth time. Previously, it had been in an attempt to talk the older boy out of it, though, more currently, it was simply out of spite, as there was nothing anyone could do once his name had been entered. Not that (Y/n) thought that out of all the names he’d get picked. Of course she wouldn’t be telling him that. He seemed so excited about it all. And it would be much easier to deal with a Cedric that was mad at the system for not choosing him than one mad at his best friend for not believing in him. No matter that the choice seemed relatively random…
Cedric just hummed, most likely to humor her strong opinions at this point, but (Y/n) didn’t mind, as she continued on.
“I was talking to Hermione and she said-“
“Shh!!! It’s starting!” Well, then…
+ + +
“Ahh the trusty old ‘stare at her until she notices you’ trick. Works every time.” George joked from beside Fred, who sent him the nastiest glare he could muster up, before returning his attention to the Hufflepuff across the room. He just couldn’t help it. She was gorgeous. Fred had been pretty much head-over-heels in love with her since they’d been paired up for potions the first day of third year. And, much to his twin brothers amusement, he’d been fairly useless as a human being around her ever since. It’s not like Fred meant to become a stuttering mess of a man every time he was within a ten foot radius of the girl. Under normal circumstances, he could flirt his way out of a jail sentence if he really wanted to. Fred was fairly proud of this fact. But, with (Y/n), it was like he was putty in her hands. And it was incredibly infuriating…
“Shove off, mate.” Fred grumbled, finally turning his attention away from the Hufflepuff table and back to the world around him when Cedric Diggory dropped his head to rest so f*cking adorably on (Y/n)’s shoulder. Fred briefly entertained the idea of a ‘disappearing’ prank on the older bloke, but, upon the realization that that was insane, opted to simply pout at the tabletop in front of him. A nudge from his other side gained his attention away from the wood grain, however, and Fred turned to Lee with a raised brow. “What?”
“You need to loosen up, Freddie. It’s one girl. What’s that muggle saying? ‘There’s plenty of kish in the sea’?” Lee offered, confusing the sh*t out of pretty much everyone present, before George made to correct him.
“‘Fish in the sea.’ ‘There’s plenty of fish in the sea’, mate.” He said, though nobody could hold in their snickers as Lee crossed his arms across his chest defensively. Even Fred managed a small smile before returning to a neutral expression (that one might consider rather downcast for the guy in question) when Lee jumped to his own defense.
“I’m pretty sure it was ‘kish.’” He argued, clearly causing George’s annoyance to grow, while Fred remained relatively unbothered. He wasn’t looking for a different ‘fish’ or ‘kish’ anyhow. He just wanted (Y/n)…
“Why the bloody hell would it be ‘kish’? What the f*ck is a ‘kish in the sea.’” George complained loudly, unintentionally firing Lee up more. Fred rolled his eyes.
“A good snog. Lip locking. Spit sharing. You know, a ‘kish.’” He enunciated his point with a loud smack of his own lips followed by a cheeky grin that probably meant he was proud of himself, for what, Fred didn’t know. That was just about the dumbest thing he’d ever heard, and he’d been sharing a house with Ron for the last fourteen years…
“You’re an absolute idiot.”
“Hey, you’re one to talk!”
“Why don’t you say that to my face, huh!?”
“You think I won’t!?”
“Get to it, then!”
“I will-“
“Shut up, you tossers! It’s starting!” Fred almost yelled, interrupting the fighting boys when he noticed Dumbledore making his way towards the goblet at the other end of the Hall. Finally. Something to distract him…
+ + +
“Cedric Diggory!”
W-what?
The table around (Y/n) felt like it was shaking. Hufflepuffs of all ages clapping and pounding on the hard wood in support of their champion. Of Cedric…
“(Y/n/n)!” And suddenly her feet were off the ground, her best friends arms wrapped around her tightly as he swung the younger girl around in his excitement, one that she could, regrettably, not join him in.
Cedric was going to compete in the triwizard tournament... The triwizard tournament… The incredibly dangerous triwizard tournament… Cedric…
“Oh my…” (Y/n) barely managed to breathe out, in complete and utter disbelief of the situation. Meanwhile, Cedric was practically glowing.
“I did it!” He spoke ecstatically into her ear as he put her back down on her own two feet, the biggest grin (Y/n) had ever seen spread across his face. It dimmed slightly, however, when he noticed her own worried expression, and realized that she did not share in his joy.
“Hey…” He mumbled, pulling her back in for another hug, though this one considerably calmer, which (Y/n) was grateful for. “I’m gonna be okay… I’m gonna win this thing. Yeah?” He whispered so softly (Y/n) wouldn’t have been able to hear him had he not been so close.
Now, she didn’t know how much she believed him, the concern for her friend eating away at the girl immensely, but (Y/n) gave him her best smile and nod anyway, knowing that all she could do at this point was support him. Merlin knows he’s going to need it…
“I’ve gotta go with the other champions but I’ll see you later, Okay?” And (Y/n) nodded again, holding her expression for as long as she could, before finally sighing in relief when he turned, and she could drop the act and allow herself to wallow in her true feelings. God, if she hadn’t been before, she surely was nervous now…
And that was all before the boy who lived was announced as the fourth champion…
+ + +
Could this day get any worse?
Fred thought not, as the current residents of the Great Hall all sprang to their feet and began chatting animatedly about the events that had just transpired. But Fred remained stationary in his seat, grip so tight on the tables edge that, had he cared, he’d be worried he might break it.
But Fred’s mind was elsewhere, going a mile a minute in just about a million different directions.
Cedric was the Hogwarts champion…
Harry put his name in the Goblet of Fire…
Cedric was all over (Y/n) when they called his name…
Why didn’t Harry tell George and I how to put ours in?
(Y/n) looked so worried when Cedric walked off to join the other champions…
Why doesn’t she look at me like that?
“You good, mate?” Fred heard George ask from beside him, but he didn’t answer. What could he say? “No, actually. I’m incredibly offended that the girl I like seems to fancy another guy, even though I’ve given her absolutely no reason to think I’m interested in her because I can’t f*cking talk to her without sounding like a complete and utter doof.” Yeah, that would be real helpful…
“Sorry, spaced.” Fred mumbled dumbly before finally getting to his feet. “I’m tired. Let’s go on up.”
Fred knew George was looking at him funny, but he didn’t have the energy to care, as the pair made their way out of the Hall, Fred, for the first time in over two years, not sparing a single glance at the Hufflepuff table…
There’s plenty of kish in the sea, right?

✰  ✰  ✰
“Malfoy!” You shouted from down the hall.
Draco was leaning against the wall in the hallway near your potions class, laughing with Mattheo when you yelled. As he turned to look at you, his eyes widened in fear.
You stormed up to him, the heels of your barbie costume clacked down the hallway. When you finally got up to him, you gave his shoulder a little nudge. “You lied to me!”
You crossed your arms and angrily tapped your foot against the floor. Draco had agreed to dress up for Halloween this year. He knew it was your favorite holiday back in the muggle world, and as your boyfriend, he agreed to dress up with you.
Unfortunately for you, Draco did not hold up his end of the deal this morning. He was supposed to be wearing his Ken costume to match your Barbie.
“I thought we agreed we would both wear our costumes to celebrate!” You huffed. “Even ‘Mione is wearing her Halloween costume.” You sadly added.
Draco’s eyes softened as your anger turned to hurt. “Oh, baby, I’m so sorry. I totally forgot what day it was, I’m sorry baby.”
He grabbed onto you and pulled you into a hug. His arms wrapped around your shoulders as he held you.
Mattheo clapped Draco on the back. “I’ll talk to you later, mate. See ya, (Y/N).”
You mumbled a goodbye to Mattheo as you nuzzled your face against Draco’s chest. “You’re a butthead, you know that?”
Draco chuckled and started rubbing his hands through your hair. “I’m sorry, darling. Really I am. I completely forgot about my costume this morning.”
You pulled away from his hug and looked up at him. “Well, it’s still morning,” you offered with a small smile, “let’s go up to your room and get your costume!”
Draco rolled his eyes with a teasing smile. “Will that make you happy, baby?”
You nodded your head, gently biting on your lip to hold back your grin.
Draco sighed as a grin took over his face. “Alright! Alright,” he put his hands up in mock surrender, “I’ll put it on for you, doll.”
You squealed and took his hand. “Yay! Let’s go, let’s go!” You pulled him behind you as you speed-walked down the hall towards the Slytherin common room.
Draco chuckled as he trailed behind you. The two of you half jogged all the way down the corridor where the Slytherin door was. You pushed through the door and pulled Draco up to his room.
“Okay! Let’s get you Ken-ified!” You giggled as you eagerly sat on his bed.
Draco smirked with a shake of his head. “You’re something else.”
He opened up his closet and pushed past all of the button up shirts and dress pants to get to the very end where his Ken costume hung. He pulled out the hanger and held up his costume for you to see.
You squealed as you clapped your hands. “Oh, you’re gonna look so cute dressed as Ken, Draco. You’ve got the most perfect hair for this costume.
Draco chuckled and brought his outfit to the bathroom with him. “Thanks, darling. Be right out.” He shut the door and started getting changed into his costume.
You couldn’t handle the anticipation. You loved Halloween, and you were so excited to finally get to celebrate with someone else. Most of the other wizards you knew, even some muggle born, didn’t even care about Halloween.
You’re just so thankful you’ve got a boyfriend who cares about you enough to do silly things like dress up with you.
Walking out of the bathroom, Draco did a little spin to show you his Ken costume.
“You look so cute!” You gushed. You stood up to walk towards him. Your fingers trailed over his shirt collar fixing things as you went.
“I’m not cute, I’m sexy.” Draco teased. He kissed the top of your head and laced his fingers in yours. “Come on, sweetheart, before we’re late to next class.”
You giggled and let him put you out of his room. “I think we’re already on the verge of being late, Dray.”
That didn’t stop him. He kept walking all the way out of the Slytherin room and out to the main hallways. “Yes, yes, I just want everyone to see our matching costumes.”
“You do?” You smiled. There weren’t very many people in the hallways, just a few stragglers who were slowly making their way to next period.
“Of course I do.” He reassured. As the two of you arrived at your shared next class, Draco took a minute to stand outside the door with you. “I am really sorry I forgot this morning. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to dress up with you. I’m not entirely sure how I forgot, to be honest, but I hope this can make up for it, darling.”
You smiled up at him. Draco was really sweet when he wanted to be. You giggled and reached up to ruffle his hair. “I’m not mad at you, Dray. Thank you for putting the costume on with me. I’m really happy to be celebrating with you.”
“Anything for you, darling. Now, let’s show everyone how kickass we are as Barbie and Kev.”
“It’s Ken, Draco.”
“I’m better than him anyway, it doesn’t matter.”
With a roll of your eyes, you let Draco pull you into the classroom.
He really was sassy, and a little full of himself, but no one could say he didn’t care for you. You felt really lucky to have a boyfriend like him.

Harry: You take the cup, you got here first.
Cedric: No! You just saved me, I won’t take the win.
Harry: Oh for bloody—I didn’t even sign up for this bullshit tournament!
Cedric: I refuse.
Harry: Fine, how ‘bout we win together?
Cedric: … sure.
Harry: We’ll grab the cup on three. One, two, three!
Cedric, now standing in the graveyard with Harry: Fucking piece of shit games, what now?
Cedric: *kicks the cup in frustration*
Harry, now back at the entrance to the maze with Cedric: I hate portkeys.
