I’m my own Dad and Mom
I think C.C. and Marilyn would be like Pre lobotomy Cosmo and Wanda. Like super duper in love and calling each other nicknames and stuff. Imagine one day the Justice League finds old photos of C.C. and Marilyn being super in love and they’re a little baffled because the Marvel they know gets no play and doesn’t want said play either. Though, now that they think about it, it kinda makes sense as to why Marvel doesn’t really respond when women flirt with him. The man’s married! In a happy marriage too by the looks of it. The league then find a photo of C.C., Marilyn, and the twins and they realize he has kids too! That’s a mini Mary Marvel, and a mini Junior maybe?
Aquaman: “Hey, Cap!”
Marvel: “Huh? Yeah?”
Aquaman: “I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner some time. See, I told Mera about you having a wife, and now she kinda wants to meet her.”
Marvel: ‘Wife? What wife?’ “O-oh? You did? How did you know I have a wife?” *face looks confused but Arthur thinks he’s kind of embarrassed that they found out about his personal life*
Aquaman: “Me and the others—”
Marvel: ‘Others???’
Aquaman: “—found some photos of you and your wife in one of the rec rooms.”
Marvel: *slowly nods head* “Oh. Okay.” *internally screaming inside*
Martian Manhunter: *floats by and visibly flinches at the internal screams before clutching head and continuing on his way*
Aquaman and Marvel: “Both watched this happen*
Aquaman: “What was that about?”
Marvel: *shrugs, silently praying that Arthur forgot what they were talking about*
Aquaman: “Right so anyways, do you think we could set something up between them?”
Marvel: “Uh… I don’t know, man.” *awkwardly smiles* “I’ll… ask her about it but there’s no guarantee she’ll say yes.”
Aquaman: “Great! Thanks.” *gives Billy a pat on the shoulder before walking off*
Later…
*Because Billy is a people pleaser, as a result, he went to the wizard to ask for help with a couple things which was met with a couple judgemental looks for the wizard who helped anyways. Now, Billy was getting ready in the closet.*
Mary: *walks into closet* “Billy some dog monster is tearing up Faw—”
Marvel: *asked the wizard for a spell to change his appearance and now looks like Marilyn, pauses mid putting on an earring*
Mary: “M- mom?”
Marvel: *puts the earring down* “Heeeeey, Mary…” *extremely awkward smile*
Mary: *runs over and hugs him* “I thought you were dead.”
Marvel: “Right… Well, about that. I’m not mom. I’m Billy.”
Mary: *pauses for a solid minute before shoving him off* “Wha-?! What the hell?! Why do you look like mom?!”
Marvel: “Uuuuuhhhh… so apparently some other leaguers think I have a wife cause they saw a picture of mom and dad.”
Mary: “That still doesn’t explain why you look like mom! It also doesn’t explain how you styled her so well.” *she rounded Billy in slight surprise*
Marvel: “I just picked something I remembered her wearing, and the reason I look like this is because I have to go to Dinner with Aquaman’s wife because she wanted to meet me. Or rather, mom.”
Mary: “Huh. So you’re going to pretend to be both our dad and our mom?”
Marvel: “I guess.” *shrugs*
Mary: *blinks at him a bunch of times* “Okay, then.”
*And so, Billy goes to hang out with Mera. It was pretty okay. She offered him wine that he only pretended to sip. They talked about girl stuff that Solomon was no help with so Billy had to go in blind. An all and all okay experience*

(part 6) ladies choice- a.donaldson
------------------------------
------------------------------
a/n: dw there are more parts after this :)
summary: how you start moving on, and how Art starts moving away.
pairing: art donaldson x fem! reader | patrick zweig x fem! reader
warnings: smut, piv (wrap it up plz), reader is mad mean to Tashi, usual upset and depressed Art, etc.
PART 6 of 12
------------------------------
“What the fuck are you doing here?” you asked.
“I wanted to talk,” Patrick shrugged. His loose t-shirt hung off his well-hidden muscled torso and arms.
“About what?”
“Your break-up.”
“If you’re about to try and convince me to get back with him-”
“No way!” he assured you. “I wanted to see how you were. Art’s broke up about it but it’s not like he’s the one who got cheated on.”
You were both silent for a moment.
“How are you?” Patrick asked, fiddling with the straps of the tote bag over his shoulder.
You sighed. “Honestly, I’m kind of shit.”
“I guessed. That’s why I brought ice cream,” he smiled sheepishly. “And I thought we could watch something?”
You smiled. “That sounds nice.”
“So let me in then,” he smiled. You opened the door and the night was full of laughter, ice-cream, and hazily falling asleep in his arms in your bed.
------------------------------
“Stay in touch, yeah?” he smiled from the end of your bed. He had to leave, his train was in an hour and he wanted to be at the station before he missed it out of pure idiocy. He’d never been good with being on time.
“Yeah,” you agreed and took his hand, lazily bringing it into your own. “Thank you for last night Pat.”
“Thank you, you make a lot of things a lot better.”
You smiled at his compliment, and smiled even harder when he pressed a soft kiss to your hand before he left.
------------------------------
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Art cursed, watching Patrick leave your dorm room.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Patrick shot back, a satisfied smirk on his face.
“Visiting Y/n-”
“You mean your ex-girlfriend, right?” Patrick mocked and Art rolled his eyes.
“I have some of her old stuff, I wanted to give it back,” Art admitted. “Now, what are you doing here?”
“You shouldn’t care. We’re not friends anymore, remember? And you and Y/n are broken up, because you cheated on her, remember?”
Art felt the stab in his heart when he remembered his infidelity. He didn’t love Tashi. He loved you. He’d always love you. But Tashi and he made sense. Before you, he’d wanted Tashi. Now he couldn’t have you, Tashi was his second choice.
“See you around, Arthur,” Patrick smiled, walking past him.
Art was seething.
------------------------------
“Are you fucking Patrick?” Tashi demanded, stalking onto the court as you ran drills.
“No,” you answered, your focus staying on the balls being thrown at you by your coach.
“Then why did Art tell me you were?”
“Because he’s a liar?” You sighed after missing a ball. “Keep me out of your relationship, you’ve already fucked one of my boyfriend behind my back.”
Tashi rolled her eyes. “Why are you-”
“Focus on your injury, Tashi. Maybe one day you’ll be able to beat me,” you snarled.
Tashi’s face fell.
“Oh wait, no you fucking won’t. ‘Cause you’ll never play again,” you snapped. “Now get off the court, actual athletes are trying to play.”
Tashi walked away, a certain shake in her step as you watched her retreat.
You had to call Patrick. In recent weeks, he’d been your only real friend. The only person who understood you and the pain you were under. Tashi had fucked Art, Patrick was cheated on as well, right? You two were one in the same.
“Patrick?” you questioned.
“Hey honey,” you could hear the smirk in his voice. “Everything alright?”
“Can you come visit soon?”
“Of course. It would be my pleasure,” he smiled.
"When can you come down?" you asked, biting your nails.
"How about Friday?"
"Perfect."
------------------------------
When Patrick opened your dorm door, he found you studying over some material for a biology test.
"Hey beautiful," he smirked and pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head.
"Hey Pat," you sighed. "How are you?"
"I'm good, happy to see you. How are you?"
You held back tears as you explained what had happened earlier that week, but when he pulled you into his arms you broke.
------------------------------
It felt good having Patrick fuck you. You didn't know how it had happened. One second he was comforting you about your fight with Tashi, the next his lips were on yours, the next you were being fucked into next week on your bed.
------------------------------
“So beautiful,” he smirked, pummelling into you. “So pretty like this, taking me so well.”
“Patrick-” you whined, grasping at the headboard of your bed as you bucked off the bed. You could feel every inch of him, and trust me, there was a lot. His fingers swirled over your needy clit as you bucked into his hips, fucking yourself onto his cock.
“Such a pretty girl, too pretty for Art,” he groaned into your neck. He took notice of how you clenched around him when he called you pretty. "You're too good for them, for both of them. Art and Tashi. I'll make you forget all about them, yeah pretty?"
You honestly could've cum for his words right there. He looked so good right now, a thin layer of sweat across his naked body, his curly hair on his forehead wet with sweat. “I-I’m gonna-”
“You gonna cum? Come on, cum on my cock,” he whined. This is what he had wanted, he wanted to be with you, sure. But the sex was a big part of it too. You were drop-dead gorgeous, and from what Art had told him, you were incredible in bed. Art hadn’t lied.
It was all too much, too good. His hand on your waist, his way-too-big cock inside you hitting spots Art could only dream of hitting, his fingers swirling around your throbbing clit, it was all too good.
“Fuck!” you shouted and came around him with a shudder. He bit down on your neck as he came inside the condom, broken moans leaving both of your mouths as you rode out your highs.
Patrick lay beside you, his hands wrapped around your bruising waist.
“So…” you took a deep breath.
“I wanna go out with you,” he admitted. “Not just to get back at Tashi and Art, because I think you’re really interesting and special.”
You smiled. “Alright.”
“So, can I take you out on a date?”
“Yes.”
------------------------------
Everything was going wrong. "We want you to go pro," his coach smiled at him. He nodded, no excitement behind his blank expression.
"Can't wait," he plastered on a fake smile.
"You'll be represented by Nike, your female ambassador is Y/n Y/l/n. We're so excited for you."
Art smiled but it was fake. everyone knew it was fake. Seeing you at practice everyday was sure to kill him, if Tashi didn't first. Their relationship was slowly falling apart, and it was all because of him.
------------------------------
"I think we should see other people," Tashi sighed over dinner. Art just nodded along.
"I agree."
"You have to get over her Art, she's with Pat now-"
"What?" he snarled, venom in his confused voice.
"She and Patrick, they're going out now," she explained. "I told you-"
"No you didn't. You never told me."
Art's head was spinning, you were moving on. You were moved on. He'd lost you.
To Patrick.
Great.

Hello! Could I request some fluff for captain Obi please?
I was thinking about something that his crush does that makes him stop working? Like something cute he just exe.stopped working.
Thank you!
Word Count:753
Pairing: Captain Obi x Gn!Reader
A/n: Hello, thank you so much for requesting. Fire force is one of my favorites and there’s not enough content out there so thank you for this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and as always remember to Hydrate or Diedrate.
Akitaru Obi is the kind of guy who speaks his mind no matter what, that’s what makes him a great captain. Only problem is there is one member of Company 8 that can render Obi speechless, Y/n. When they joined Company 8 everyone was just glad to have another crew member to help lighten the load on the small unit. No one ever expected that the nerdy 3rd generation would be able to break the great Captain Obi.
It started out with small things, like Y/n offering to help out with cleaning up Obi’s office so his workout equipment wouldn’t get in the way of meetings, or Y/n offering to make dinner when everyone was exhausted from a hard day of dealing with infernals. Obi admired how much Y/n was willing to do in order to help everyone out, and that’s all he thought it was. What both Obi and Y/n failed to notice, but was quickly picked up by the less dense members of Company 8, was how there was a slight hint of favoritism aimed at the Pyrokinetic from the Captain.
Obi had unintentionally started to put Y/n above the rest of the Squad. Not in large ways but more so checking in on them repeatedly after they took a hit during a call, or giving them extra breaks from paperwork when they make a comment about being bored. Maki and Hinawa had both noticed and tried to ask him about it, but Obi just brushed them off saying he was like that with everyone.
This all went on for a few months, Obi being softer on Y/n and the others trying to get him to see it, hell even Arthur picked up on it. Eventually, It was ultimately Y/n who made him realize he had in fact been nicer to them and that he has a crush on them. It had been a quiet day, no calls to deal with Infernals and luckily the crew had managed to complete the mountain of paperwork that usually occupied the office space. After about an hour of Shinra and Arthur pestering the Lieutenant, Hinawa finally agreed to let everyone take the day to relax as long as they stayed alert for any potential calls.
Taking advantage of the somewhat free day, Y/n decided to bake some cookies for the crew as a treat for all the hard work they had been doing. Y/n spent the first part of the day straightening the kitchen and making sure everything was ready for their day of baking. With everything clean they turned on the small radio, got the ingredients out and started baking. Lost in their own little world dancing around the kitchen while mixing the cookie dough, they failed to notice that the Captain had come into the room. Obi’s original plan was to get a quick snack and glass of water, he was not expecting to see Y/n dancing around the kitchen mixing bowl in hand while a song he recognized as being from before the Great Cataclysm played from the radio. The sight caused Obi to freeze in the doorway, completely entranced.
Having finished mixing the dough, Y/n turned to set the bowl on the counter, only to be startled by the sight of their Captain standing frozen in the doorway. Being slightly startled, but also concerned, Y/n spoke up. “Is there anything I can do for you, Captain?” They asked.
It took Obi a few seconds to process that Y/n had spoken to him, but as he was about to respond and dash away like nothing happened, the alarm sounded followed by the Lieutenant rushing by saying there was a call. Obi watched as Y/n sighed before quickly placing the bowl of cookie dough in the fridge turning to get ready for the call. Obi was still slightly frozen having realized watching Y/n be carefree was one of his new favorite things, and he only moved to respond to the call when Y/n moved to exit the kitchen and had brushed past him trying to get out.
Obi shook his head, focusing on the job at hand, but not before deciding he was going to talk to them after this call and admit his feelings. Sure, he just figured them out himself, but with the way the world was any day could be they’re last so why not spend it with the ones you love.

Little spoiler with psychological analysis.
You see right through me - how often have I heard this. You know that moment when...psychological traumas surface and in front of you stands not an adult, but a frightened child? Of any gender. At such moments I think - oh no...what happened to you then...
This slips into some phrases that are not typical of self-sufficient adults. Someone calls this "ability" to see people from the inside something like "people scanners" or simply "scanning". I would call it the usual creation of a cause-and-effect relationship and the ability to analyze. Otherwise, the simplest things will seem like magic.
Sometimes we take on social roles that are too big for us. Sometimes these are useful because they can become a growth point and motivation to develop. But often it works in the opposite direction and we simply break under the weight of this role. And there is disappointment in ourselves, hatred, exactingness due to inflated expectations. And the fear that others will see this weakness. Life hack for loved ones who have such people around - never focus on their failures, it will kill them.
If... if you understand that even superheroes can be out of shape, that they can have days when they cry into their pillow all night from helplessness, from the desire to give up their role, but at the same time they are torn to pieces by the thought "then I will let the others down and be a loser in their eyes, but I can't do this anymore", then you will be able to hear the answer to what they really want.
But it often happens that due to too long a stay in the conditions of "you are my hero, justify this title" they stop feeling and hearing their own desires. They do not know what they want and feverishly push responsibility for the choice onto others.
When you accept such a person in any state, and not only in moments of success, it causes a very strong attachment in them. Sometimes - suffocating with mistrust and jealousy. This is a sincere fear of losing this all-accepting connection, where you are not judged for who you are even in moments of weakness. Such people are in dire need of psychological security, a kind of "home" for the soul.
And with such people there will be endless tests like "do you really love me?" Such relationships require a lot of patience. I immediately remember the first years of my life with my husband. We traveled a lot by train and one day I fell asleep, and he came out of the compartment at that moment. I woke up, and he was gone. At that moment, I calmly decided that several years of life together were a figment of my imagination. That is, getting from hell to heaven, you will involuntarily pinch yourself constantly, not believing that you have ended up in normal human conditions.
Let's cross our fingers for Arthur - this nice guy hides great potential under a layer of self-doubt and self-criticism.

CURRENT FHJY THEORIES
My current conspiracy board for the season
These are my plausible theories and then I'll talk about my batshit insane theories
I think that the rat grinders HAVE lost their memories regarding Lucy's death. I'm inclined to believe that Ratbitch Dogface and MAYBE Ivy remember. I'd bet that they took the honey to lie to Aguefort and the other staff about their involvement with her death.
The mind terrorism that Fig put Ruben through caused him to vomit up a 'Bloody Viscous Substance' And I will not be surprised if Fig has made Ruben remember whatever happened to Lucy
Gertie verified that the honey made from the Devil's nectar is bloody red.
She is making the honey for some local food trucks that we know Are KLKC's
Another thing we know for a fact is that the body of Lucy Frostblade showed marks from multiple assailants including magical, non- magical, and specifically a type of bludgeoning damage that carbonized her blood into red diamonds
This leads us to believe that Lucy's murderers were her own party members. In addition to this, they also found the rage crystals in the dirt and the bodies of Lucy and Yolanda Badgood.
This clearing's destroyed trees shows indications of giant involvement as well
What we currently know leads me to believe that the Rat Grinders attempted a replication of Kristen's spring break miracle
Lucy attempted to resurrect an 'Evil' sibling of her goddess, Ruvina, The unnamed god now known as Ankarna.
This mirrors the Cassandra / Galicaea relationship as well
This attempt clearly backfired in some way I'd bet either resulting in Lucy or the others becoming something similar to the Rage Mages we saw in the battle at the Synod
I think that the Rat grinders are all at various levels of involvement in the upcoming plot involving Ankarna with KLCK being the mastermind AND I KNOW that there's some bullshit going on with the rogue teacher that FOUND KLCK ( Will be unsurprised if this unknown teacher is dead)
We currently do not know how this episode's revelations regarding the name will affect these plans in the upcoming episodes. If this is playing into the preexisting plans or completely destroying them
The way Brennan talked in the most recent AP about how he thought that them finding the name was an inevitability but a scene he thought would happen in the third act of the season makes me think that this will NOT affect the Rat Grinders plans in a majorly significant way. They still have to do something ( some kind of ritual or other ) that the Bad Kids will have stop in the final eps
After learning all about the Historical side of the shifts that Ankarna's domain saw I believe that there is a lot of evidence for a conspiracy against Cassandra and Ankarna involving Sol and Galicaea. But this is still up in the air
Now for my pepe silvia conspiracies . . . Feel free to bully me in the comments for these
ONE- The Time Quangle that Arthur Aguefort dropped on us in the second episode
We know that The Seven have already experienced a large chunk of this year during the GED quest that Aguefort was present for
And lesser men will say that the TIME QUANGLE is BLeeM's way of justifying the continuity errors between these two seasons
I am not one of them
The animated opening sees the Bad Kids falling past clocks and into a diamond prison created by Aguefort which explodes into the BK's falling in a scene eerily similar to them falling into Riz's briefcase of holding. They then face villains from both of the two previous seasons ( Goldenhoard, Kalina, a Corn-cutie, Chungledown Bim, James Whitclaw ( the mindflayer that kicked Fabian's ass during spring break) , Coach Daybreak, and Penelope w/ Dayne) in the Gym they fought Kalvaxus ( VP Goldenhoard ) before we get title cards for each of the Bad Kids
I posit that we will see the Bad Kids tumble through time as a result of not only Agueforts chronomancy adventure with Ayda but also the fuckery involving the time loop at the synod. Visiting their past villains in addition to current threats
TWO- Vice Principal Jace Stardiamond
Facts we know about Aguefort's resident sorcery prof and interim VP . . . Ragh Barkrock SAW him give Adaine's mom and Kalina the Nightmare King's crown from Aguefort's office after prompocalypse, Jace Stardiamond holds a useless position at Aguefort as sorcerers do not need any teaching for an innate ability, despite his uselessness he was chosen to become the VP, he was the person Yolanda Badgood was going to approach about the sinister shit surrounding Lucy Frostblade's 'disappearance' and the paperwork for a new deity she never saw. Yolanda is now dead, even though he is VP; after the death of Interim emergency backup principal Arcturus Grix He is still VP and Student body president Mazey Phaedra is now acting principal. Making room for KLCK to become principal next year if she wins that election.
Reviewing these fact I put forth the following idea, VP Jace Stardiamond is in cahoots with KLCK AND he is the unknown rogue teacher. WHY? how would someone with no knowledge of trickery or thievery manage to take the Nighmare King's Crown from Aguefort's office? How would a man that essentially does nothing as a teacher keep job security? What if the reason that KLCK was found by the rogue teacher was because he is in on the scheme? SPIE'S TONGUE CURSE?? SOMETHING THAT TWO ROGUES IN CAHOOTS WOULD USE DON'T YOU THINK? WHY WOULD HE MAKE RIZ A MEMBER OF THE FACULTY??

Carrying on from this ask and post, let’s talk about omegaverse Arthur’s often lamentable love life. 😳 I’ll start with FrUK and maybe do USUK and some others later if people are interested. The OTP must always be first
I go back and forth on whether I like Francis as a beta or an alpha. In the ScotFrUK variant, I make him a beta so the OT3 can have a nice a/b/o mix. Since I’ve already written about beta Francis there, here I’ll make him alpha for some variety. He’d be a non-traditional one the same way Arthur is a non-traditional omega. Less open aggression and bared teeth, more refinement and poise. Still deadly, though. France was always a naked steel epee under perfumed silk. A sleek hunting dog to other alphas’ snarling wolves.
Francis and Arthur grew up together just like they do in canon. Francis was older and presented first, neatly ticking the alpha box his people hoped and prayed for. Arthur was in childish awe and obviously jelly, something a smug Francis was very aware of. When Arthur presented beta (cough) after loudly insisting he would also be an alpha when his time came, Francis went beyond smug to full blown schadenfreude ecstasy. Here was yet more proof that he was the superior nation. Suck it, little beta Angleterre! You will never be an alpha. Hon hon hon.
Anyhoo, afterwards the two carried on in their normal merry, cross-channel rivalry way. Until the time came for their first truly epic clash: the Hundred Years War. Our scene is set just as the French have found their second wind (here “second wind” means “guns”) and started pushing the English back. Francis meets Arthur on the battlefield and they have their usual duel. Except, even with his newly found advantage, Francis can’t help but notice Arthur is seriously off his game. In fact he fights so badly that Francis not only wins but actually manages to take him prisoner(!) when the English retreat. Something that’s possible but unusual for their kind. As if things weren’t going crap enough for Team Anglo. Now they’ve lost more land and their national personification has been captured. Bloody hell, mate. Bit harsh, all in all.
As much as he’s loving all this, Francis is itching with curiosity as to how it happened. Arthur has proven himself a ferocious opponent over the years but in their last battle he was a joke. Flushed and unsteady, Arthur spent their bout stumbling around like a newborn foal and swinging his sword like a concussed drunk. Francis ran rings around him and it barely took any effort to knock his rival down and pin him. Truly a pitiful display. Francis knows Arthur is many things but a bad fighter isn’t one of them. So he goes to Arthur’s cell to see what’s up. And hopefully get a little more gloating in while he’s at it. Hon hon hon.
Once there, he finds Arthur in a terrible state: collapsed on the floor, delirious, and burning with fever. Francis sends word to his boss, who orders their prisoner transferred to a proper room and treated. If it seems weird he would do this, remember that if Arthur died he’d “regenerate” back in England and the French would lose a very valuable hostage. Arthur ends up in Francis’s bed so Francis can both nurse and keep an eye on him. If Arthur suddenly rallied, no way ordinary French guards could stop him escaping by themselves. Nation-people are strong, yo. Not that Arthur was very strong at that particular moment in time. It’s very odd he’s this sick when - as far as Francis knows - nothing is happening in England to cause it. No plagues, economic disasters, or the like. Arthur’s illness is a real mystery. That is, until Francis gets close enough to scent him. It happens when he climbs into bed for a cuddle. You know our FrUK pair: no matter how spiteful their rivalry, when one of them is really badly off they’ll always band together for support. Arthur is suffering with this fever and so Francis, moved but unable to help in any other way, does the only thing he can and holds him like when they were young.
That’s when he notices the unmistakable scent of pre-heat of a late bloomer. Yeeep, we all saw this coming a mile away, lol. Arthur’s long delayed second sex presentation happened in the worst place possible: the battlefield of an enemy country. Because he’s Arthur Bloody Kirkland and no matter what the universe, he’ll always have the luck of someone who ran over a gypsy every day for the last ten years. He’s still out of it so the classic “You’re an omega!/No, I’m a beta!” convo is even less coherent than you’d expect. The pre-heat moves on to full blown and Francis has to deal with his burning, slicking, still delirious rival trying to kiss his face off and begging to be fucked. His still delirious rival who suddenly has a scent like pure, uncut sex which tests Francis’s self-control like nothing ever has. Fortunately Francis is someone who not only believes that real love only comes with full, sexy consent, but also has a soft spot for omegas and Arthur. It’s tough and every kiss makes his dick feel like it’s going to tear right off his loins, but Francis still refuses to give into his worse urges and take advantage of Arthur when he’s defenceless. It’s a truly ass time for them both (no pun intended) but eventually the heat ebbs and they’re left to deal with the aftermath. Arthur is still weak and disoriented but now he can also add “mortified” and “devastated” to the list. A beta presentation was disappointing, omega is a disaster. Not only that but the frog knows! The frog, who he’s currently losing a war to. The frog, whose bed he’s nesting in. The frog, who Arthur just spent days and nights begging to fuck him. Just kill him now. There’s no coming back from this. Just throw the whole of the British Isles away.
Arthur expects Francis to rake him across the coals for some truly epic blackmail. Only to be shocked when Francis instead is…kind? Kind and…actually reassuring? Promising he won’t tell anyone else if Arthur doesn’t want him to. Arthur can’t believe it. Tries (and fails) to sit up and intimidate Francis into revealing what he’s really up to. But Francis only soothes him again. His soft spot for omegas and the hard life they lead is genuine. He assures Arthur that, rivals though they may be, Francis would never use Arthur’s second sex against him. Such a detestable thing would be below him as the country of love and beauty. Not only is Arthur’s secret safe with Francis, but Francis swears he can always come to him for help if need be. Whatever help he likes, no strings attached. Then Francis presses a soft kiss to Arthur’s forehead and oh dear, oh dear, is some of his heat still clinging on? It must be since Arthur is suddenly hot and dizzy again. Francis is very close and very handsome. Git. Stupid git. Stupid sexy frog git…
Arthur gets back on his feet thanks to Francis’s care and manages to slip away and escape. Yeah, Francis didn’t try very hard to stop him. But, you know, shit’s been tough. Let Arthur have this. A nation-person can’t disobey their boss and Arthur has to come clean when his king asks where the hell he’s been. Resulting in much fury, disgust, and “so that’s why we’re losing this damn war!” leaps of logic from the English rulers. Not much fun for poor Arthur. Ever the disappointment to a royal family who don’t even bother to hide their contempt for what fate has given them. They swear their national personification to secrecy and Arthur starts his long period of faking the second sex they thought he had before. Life goes back to normal, Anglo-French rivalry included, with one notable exception: Arthur takes Francis up on his offer of “help” with his new heats. They’re still Arthur and Francis - still enemies and rivals trying to one-up each other all over the world - but Francis is true to his word. When Arthur needs relief from a bad heat, they meet and Francis takes care of him. They’re nations so no risk of accidental pregnancy. Just good sex and then sprawling, sweaty and sated, in a nest for cuddles and afterglow. Arthur always slips away before Francis wakes up. They never discuss it in their day-to-day rivalry (“The first rule of heat club…”) but the odd truce holds strong for centuries. Only to finally unravel when Francis supports Alfred against Arthur in 1776. The resulting bitterness he feels is so great that Arthur would rather suffer through his heats alone than find relief in Francis’s arms. Things only get worse between them when the Napoleonic Wars roll around. When Arthur brings Francis’s dreams of superpower crashing down, Francis - raging and bitter in turn - lets his thirst for revenge get the better of him. He breaks his word and spitefully reveals Arthur’s secret to the rest of the European powers. The absolute nadir of the FrUK enemies-to-lovers journey? Right here. They never hated each other as much as they did in that moment.
Arthur is mortified, betrayed, and even more driven to prove himself and regain respect on the world stage. Francis’s fury takes a long time to cool and it’s only afterwards that guilt begins to gnaw at him. Vengeful as he was, that blow was still beneath him. He tries to apologise but Arthur brusquely rebuffs every attempt at contact. Things are strained between them even when they become allies during the Crimean War. They work together out of necessity but it takes years, and the rights and standing of omegas starting to improve at last, before the break begins to heal. In the late nineteenth century, Francis happens to be in London when Arthur’s heat comes calling. It’s a bad one made worse by the abuse of newly invented hard suppressants. Arthur had been popping pills like candy because it’s the Victorian Age and medical regulations are still “gentle suggestions” at best. They sold cocaine for headaches bro, lol. Francis sees Arthur once again in a bad state and pounces on his estranged lover/rival. He drags Arthur home and makes him stop taking the suppressants so his body can heal. Arthur feels bad enough in heat and coming down that he agrees to let Francis help him again like he used to. Afterwards, nesting together for the first time in nearly a century, they actually talk. Yes, really. Finally, they talk. About their relationship, their history, their falling out, complicated feelings, and where they go from there. It’s a slow start but a start nonetheless. They make enough progress that Francis goes back to helping Arthur with his heats again. Years pass, things continue to get better, old wounds close and fade, then comes Entente Cordiale, then two world wars, and everything after. Omegas finally win the equality they’ve always been denied. Francis by his side, Arthur makes peace with his second sex at last. At some point, even though it’s Summer, Arthur starts wearing one of his hand knitted scarves. Still his tsundere, embarrassed, self, he wants to hide the mating bite Francis gave him until it heals to a “respectable” scar. Francis wants him to show it off but you know Arthur. Stubborn till the end. Francis loves him anyway. Happily, the feeling is mutual. ❤️
There you have it! My thoughts on how FrUK could work out in Hetalia omegaverse. Hope you enjoyed reading ^^ I wrote so much aaahhhhh I’m embarrassed. This OTP makes me so silly

Ok! Here we go! 😊😊 (please dont mind any typos)
Slight Tw: some described g0re, and implied plans of sui during one part
Ok let’s do this ok guys
Origins of Nightmare:
Nightmare was the original dark matter, and was always around because of peoples bad dreams. The thing is, they never fueled his growth because the fountain of dreams and the star rod was what kept him from becoming a huge threat. But, as generations had passed, the fountain of dreams became less of an important protective device, and more of a relic or a roadside attraction, to put it bluntly. The people had lost the knowledge of its meaning and didn’t value their peace anymore and they took it for granted, not even really acknowledging how good they had it. Anyway, a long time passed and nightmare is a puny threat to everyone, and he’s tired of it, so with what little power he’s saved up from aaallll that time saving up on bad dreams, he makes his move. He goes to popstar and shatters the star rod completely. And since the people didn’t acknowledge the importance of the star rod anymore, he went by basically unnoticed the whole time, and this began the start of chaos across the universe. Since nightmare grew to such a ginormous threat after the destruction of the star rod, the people figured they needed something big to defeat him too, and they created the GSA (Galaxy Soldier Army) and the star rod finally became a completely forgotten weapon.
Star rod and star people :
Nightmare became very successful in his plan to take over the universe at first, but because the star people (Kirby, Mk, etc.) were directly connected to the star rod (meaning they wish through the star rod, and so genetically they are connected) This is what made them a difficult species for nightmare to defeat because of the sheer power they had. (Unlike other species that would just wish on any shooting star and not the star rod) But the destruction of the star rod also had an effect on that too. The star rod allowed for wishing to be a very safe and reliable process, being able to wish any planet, any location, anytime. But without the star rod, you were not guaranteed this kind of safety, and now the children could be in danger during that process, sometimes even accidentally making wishes Wishing is a force of nature so the wish isn’t granted by a certain being, it just happens, the star rod kept that force in balance so without star rod it’s out of balance now. The wishing system is super screwed up so any large amount of emotion being said out loud could cause a wish. And the only reason why the babies of the star people were still being born with such power was because their parents still contained that star rod gene in them, so it still passed on through the wishing process. So in order for Nightmare to win, he had to destroy this species from the inside out.
Creation of Meta Knight:
Nightmares target became the firstborn child to the heads of the GSA (Sir Arthur and Lydia). So after the wish was made and the star had fallen to the ground, he made his move. He kidnapped the baby and took him to be experimented on. He turned him into a tracking device/ ambush plan, and gave him powerful, unnatural features that no other star person had. Nightmare later returned the baby to his parents, to be raised until the time was right for his plan to begin. He was raised along with three other siblings and was treated as a normal part of the family, so he never felt out of place. This was exactly what nightmare wanted
Nightmare’s plan:
At 25, Meta knight learned his true identity, through a vision from nightmare. He learned that he was a pawn to be used for nightmare’s efforts, and would be the downfall of the GSA. After finding out the truth, meta knight left the base feeling that he would be a disgrace to the GSA, and also out of fear that staying any longer would facilitate nightmare even more. However, this only opened the door. After he left, Nightmare took the opportunity to ambush the head GSA base and completely destroy it, as well as sending more beasts to meta knight after he had left to force him to return again in seek of refuge. Upon returning he saw that the base was completely destroyed and by leaving, he allowed that to happen (nightmare knew that if he didn’t leave, the ambush would be unsuccessful because the experiments he did on him made him a very skilled fighter, and nightmare needed that for his own gain, but against him he would not win). His family was nowhere to be found and neither were the other soldiers. So in this moment, nightmare physically appeared to him and tried to convince meta knight to join him. But after he refused, he took his eyes… (I’m sorry I don’t know how to describe it but he left him like severely injured like he actually ripped through his face and he was like horribly like lacerated on his face it was really bad and he was blinded like permanently).
Meta knight’s recovery:
He was left there for a while and he would’ve died, if he wasn’t found by two warriors (Jecra and Garlude) that came looking for others after surviving the ambush attack. They had their kids (Joe and Sirica) with them and were preparing things to to leave the planet with anyone they found. When they found him, they carried him into the ship and headed to one of the only peaceful planets left in the universe, Popstar. There, they cared for his wounds and helped him heal from actually being horribly ripped up and yeah.
Evil moment before warp saves him:
(Tw: implied plans of suicide in this part) After Meta knight was mostly recovered, he could only really see light, shadows, and vague shapes. His wounds had started the healing process and he was able to move around, so he left to the very edge of the woods, and he stayed there all day waiting until night. He contemplated the many things he had lost, his family was gone, his health and his vision had deteriorated, and the only life he had ever known turned out to be a lie. He went there in a bad mental state and didn’t think things could get better, so he planned to try and you know… yeah. After standing there for so long he broke down and he started like actually losing is like yelling like you are loud dude… basically just pouring out his heart in that moment of like sadness and confusion and wanting something to change the course of his life.
Warp star and star rod:
Now before I get back to the story I need to explain a little about warp. Warp star is a sentient being like galaxia, and she is also dually the star rod. After being broken, she had to be regenerated again because it’s just a law of nature, she exists with the universe no matter what, so she will always come back even if it’s in a different form. In order for her to be reborn though, she had to heal, and this process took years and years of regeneration. And for her to even be born, she had to choose a star person to be born with and to be her guardian for life, Kirby. This meant they both would rely on each other for power in the beginning stages of life (like how some sharks are born with a yolk sac, both rely on each other to an extent the shark needs food and the sac needs blood flow ☝️🤓). Anyways, Kirby and warp would be born together and that made Kirby her guardian, she is his galaxia.
Kirby:
Okay so remember how I said the wishing system was screwed up because warp wasn’t there to keep it in balance YOULL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENS 😧😧 When Meta knight started pouring out his heart, it was read as a wish, and so Kirby was sent down to him, and he accidentally made a wish.😧 Kirby was born with warp star in his hands and they relied on each other as a source of power. So meta knight found the fallen star and realized exactly what had happened.
Post wish stuff:
After hearing him out in the forest, Jecra and Garlude were able to find him and Kirby and took them back home to be taken care of. They helped him raise Kirby in the beginning stages, and helped fashion a visor to be put in his mask that allowed him to see light and shapes in a little higher definition, which helped him navigate better and see Kirby a little more.
First 5 years:
For the first 5 years in cappytown raising Kirby, things go very smoothly. Meta knight starts training with Kirby in order for him to get his agility and skill back, and hoping that Kirby may learn from him as well. He has learned about Kirby’s copy abilities, and has become a fully involved father in Kirby’s life. (He’s so devoted because while it seemed that this was another stumbling block in his life, it was exactly what he wished for in the sense that he wanted something to happen that would completely change the course of his life) Also in cappytown, Dedede has barely become king and is just now learning to handle the throne (this is important for later)
After 5 years:
After a long and peaceful 5 years living with his son in cappytown, Meta knight received a notice from the GSA notifying former soldiers and warriors that their presence was needed urgently for the next attempt to to defeat nightmare. They claimed that the GSA had made changes to its system to ensure a “safer” environment for people with kids and were convinced that this time they would win against nightmare. Feeling obligated, and also a little hopeful of maybe seeing his family again, he left with Kirby to help the cause.
The issue with the GSA:
After the ambush at the head base of the GSA it seemed that Sir Arthur and the rest of meta knights family had perished during the ambush, but it’s actually all the contrary. When the ambush happened they were able to escape using one of the ships, and they left to one of the only other peaceful planets in the universe, Ripplestar. But because meta knight had left before the ambush, they couldn’t find him, and assumed that he died during the attack as well. So why didn’t they come back to help this second time? Arthur’s leadership in the GSA prevented people from serving that had small children, or people that physically could not serve, and he just had a very good handle on the leadership in the GSA, because he knew that yes the cause was good, but soldiers are still people, not machines. He valued everyone and after the ambush he felt he had failed the GSA in the sense that some fault in his leadership allowed for the ambush to happen, so he resigned his position to take care of his family, and removed himself from the GSA entirely. So what’s the deal with the GSA now? This new system that made the GSA a “safer environment” was really all just propaganda to get as many people to fight for freedom in the universe. And while in theory yes it’s good, like let’s get people to fight for the good, they forgot the importance of valuing each soldier as a person, and they really only just needed numbers. So what they did for people with kids was, they created a ship that would send your kid into space for years, until the war was finally over. The kids would be in cryo sleep the entire time until their ship was programmed to land, and when they landed they would be granted the knowledge of what happened to their family/ parents.
2nd war:
When Meta knight arrived to serve in the 2nd war, he realized what would happen and had no other choice but to rely on the GSA’s technology to protect Kirby. The second way started out promising, but turned out to be the most unsuccessful attempt yet. By pushing their soldiers to the limit, they overworked them and it was just bad. That’s why there were so little survivors in the end.
Garlude:
Let me pose to you this situation okay, we have Garlude, and she is the best warrior okay (it literally says that in the anime) and we have another really good warrior, Meta knight, and they’re both gonna get this legendary sword okay. Logically Garlude would not lose, and she would get the sword right? At least that’s what everyone was thinking right. Anyways, when they get there, they start fighting this monster to get the sword and he gets caught and is about to die, but this gives Garlude an opportunity to grab Galaxia to retrieve it successfully, but through trying to get Galaxia, she finds out the sword was not meant for her, she gets shocked and realizes Galaxia was meant for him. Unfortunately she has no other choice but to grab the sword and use it to help meta knight, because he’s losing really bad. So she sacrifices herself by using the sword to free meta knight, and she’s electrocuted. While this didn’t kill her at first, it made her extremely weak, and vulnerable to the monster, ultimately leading to her demise. So when Meta knight, a great warrior but not the best, comes back with Galaxia but no Garlude, don’t you think rumors would start? I think it’s worth thinking about. This is how Sirica, got the wrong idea about meta knight, and how Nightmare continued reminding Meta knight of his purpose and how he would always be used against the GSA and the warriors no matter what. He was the cause of one of his closest friends’ death.
Jecra:
Jecra’s death was a statement from Nightmare to Meta knight, once again reminding him who he really was. Jecra was kidnapped during an attack by some of nightmares beasts, and he was turned evil by nightmare. Upon returning, meta knight realized exactly what had happened to him and it was like looking in a mirror, he saw what nightmare had planned for him, and desperately tried snapping Jecra out of it, but it didn’t work. Meta knight had no other choice but to go against Jecra in battle. This resulted in him having to kill his only other friend left. Once again making him the cause of his friends’ death. All of because nightmare never wanted him to forget his identity and purpose.
After the second war:
At the end of the second war, most of the warriors in the GSA had died and there were very few survivors, including Meta Knight. He escaped and once again headed to popstar to seek refuge. This is basically where the anime starts
KRBAY:
The show is basically what this time was like from Kirby’s point of view, he sees dedede and a scary tyrannical leader and the one that orders the monsters, and everything is very “kids show” through his eyes, which isn’t necessarily how it happened.
King dedede had been king for about 9 years, but his leadership has been questionable, but he was doing everything in his power to keep the peace the cappytown even if it meant doing things that were wrong. King dedede filtered what could and couldn’t be seen by the cappies, basically making them ignorant to the whole war that’s going on. I guess like all of this just to say that the show is like a very kid like depiction of what actually happened.
Kirby returns to popstar:
About a year after meta knight had returned to popstar after escaping, Kirby’s ship crash landed in cappy town. (during this year that meta knight spent in Cappytown by himself, he became very close with tiff, because she was interested in who he really was as a star warrior. She disagreed with King Dededes method of leading, and she actually wanted to know what was going on, so that’s why him and tiff are very close) The whole plot of the anime continues during this time, and since Meta knight had barely returned from such a traumatic war, he felt that he wasn’t capable of taking care of Kirby anymore and that’s why they’re not very close during the show at all.
Sirica:
Even though the show depicts Sirica coming after knuckle Joe, I do what I want and I say she arrived before Joe did. When she arrived we all know what happens we’ve seen the show, she thinks meta knight killed her mother which isn’t true and the show kind of brushes over it, that’s not what happened. After their conflict, he fully describes the story like he zones out and starts retelling everything like it happened and it’s kind of difficult to hear for everyone, but it gives Sirica the reassurance that her mother died a hero and for the greater good. She does not leave right after this, she stays in cappytown for a while, because I don’t think she would leave I think she wants to hear more about her mom and the only guy that knows a lot about her is Mk so it only makes sense.
Joe:
Similarly to Siricas conflict with meta knight, knuckle Joe comes to cappytown seeking the warrior who killed his father, we know how it goes we’ve seen it. And just like last time after their conflict, he fully retells the story, except this one is particularly more difficult for him to tell, because he actually did kill his father. Since nightmare made him one of his pawns and made him fully evil, meta knight had no other choice but to you know like… yeah. So after zoning out again and telling the story in full detail it’s very difficult for everyone to grasp, knuckle Joe does get the closure he needed, but the people (WHO DIDNT REALLY EVEN KNIW A WAR WAS GOING ON) hear that meta knight actually had a crazy war story and was a crazy fighter, and that’s how this persona of meta knight started being built up even more and people thought of him as like wow so fighter like he’s so noble and so cool. Basically treating him like a fictional character now instead of an actual dude.
Joe and Sirica:
After staying in cappytown for a while, learning about their parents and how they cared for injured soldiers, and were very noble people, they left into space to find survivors from the war, and other star warriors, to help with the final battle against nightmare that would be coming very soon.
KRBAY finale:
As the show nears its end, there’s a bit of foreshadowing that comes from meta knight, where he says Kirby will soon be going up against an even bigger foe, and the next episode starts the finale. That means he knew that Kirby would have to fight nightmare very soon, how did he know that?? Basically nightmare gave him a vision and this was like the worst thing nightmare had in store for him, in that vision he told meta knight that now Kirby would be going up against him whether he liked it or not, and he was going to take what was most important in his life, Kirby. (It’s not like super important to know this but I thought it was cool so i out it in) ANYWAYS, the finale starts and meta knight, sword, blade, Kirby, king dedede, and Tiff (she snuck on board) head into space to fight nightmare. They get there and yeah we all know what happens, and then they get surrounded by a bunch of nightmares ships. And that’s when they notice three of the ships actually helping them out. And then it’s like big reveal, it’s Joe, Sirica, and Sir Arthur and his family WHAAATTTT 😧😧😧 I THOUGHT THEY DIED (that’s his brain)
He kind of disassociates during the rest of this battle just because so much has happened and he knows what going to happen and it’s just a lot, which is why his reaction to seeing his family again is so like 😮 instead of actually freaking out. Ok let’s fast forward to the end okay.
Final battle with nightmare:
Finally we get to this final battle with nightmare, and in the show it depicts tiff being the one that gets taken by nightmare and Kirby goes after her, but I honestly think that it would just be a lot more meaningful if it was meta knight just because this final battle represents his fear of nightmare, controlling his life, and just always being around, so for the sake of this story, I’m changing it to that. Anyways, as Kirby is going after them to save meta knight, this is basically meta knights worst nightmare come true, and his fear is what is fueling nightmare at this very last battle to make him look much bigger and stronger. This is all kind of like a show to make the person fighting him think that they need a huge arsenal to defeat him, when in reality, all they need is the star rod. So at the end when Kirby reveals that he is the guardian of the star rod, that’s how he’s able to defeat nightmare. By using the only thing that could defeat him, he destroyed nightmare forever in an instant. In the show, nightmares defeat is only shown for a very small portion of the entire finale, which I think really drives the point home that nightmare was all show. He played this role of being a huge threat to hide the fact that he had such a big weakness.
Post nightmare’s defeat:
After successfully, defeating nightmare, and nightmare enterprises, everyone returned home safe, and meta knight and Kirby left Cappy town to go and see his family after all these years. They spent about six months visiting and came back to Cappytown after that.
Meta knights revenge:
After returning to Cappy town from visiting his family, he came back to a completely different town. While in many aspects, Cappytown had improved, for example, king dededes leadership, media, and education had improved. Many of the cappies continued to choose to be ingnorant to the efforts of the GSA and basically all the crazy war stuff that had happened. They treated star Warriors as fictional characters to put it bluntly, and didn’t value the freedom that they had even during the wars. One example I can give you of the Cappies ignorance to everything that was going on, is in one of the episodes where they collect little figures of some of the star warriors and soldiers, they collect these figures and don’t even know their actual names. (There was even a collectible of Jecra and like it’s kind of messed up like why are you making a marketable figure of a man that died???) It’s just very representative of how they view star warriors as a whole, just a collectible or a character. So when Meta knight had arrived to Cappy town, the people treated him like he was a celebrity and people fawned over him and made merchandise off of him and it was just really weird. This really irked him, and he kind of lost it, because a couple years ago when he lived there and he was going through things, nobody cared about him except tiff, but now since he’s a “hero” everyone loves him and idolizes him just because he lives in their town. So, his solution? IM GONNA TAKE OVER THIS ENTIRE PLACE AND IM GONNA MAKE THESE PEOPLE STOP BEING SO IGNORANT AND LAZY AND SEE WHAT I AND A BUNCH OF OTHER WARRIORS WENT THROUGH 🐺🐺🐺🐺 (this entire invasion is really just a manic episode, he completely loses it and it’s just all build up from all the crap he’s had to deal with from the cappies) During this time is when we really get to see the true power nightmare gave him though. Similarly to the evil frog thing from that one episode, he goes into this trance like state where all he can do is wreak havoc and he can’t recognize anyone he’s up against. So when Kirby goes to fight him, meta knight doesn’t recognize him, and that’s why he’s so brutal.
After meta knights revenge:
Afterwards, tiff finds him on shore and she is really disappointed. She and him end up talking things over and it’s end up okay but she realizes that he still has very serious issues to deal with. He gets fired from working for dedede, and gets a slap on the wrist but otherwise is fine (dedede didn’t want conflict so he chose this route to keep everyone happy) The people recognize that he’s also a person too, but still idolize him, and honestly this kind of raises his ego. (Until he gets humbled later) After all the games happen up until planet robobot, and that’s when it gets crazy 😧
Susie haltmann:
After being stuck in an alternate dimension since her childhood, Susie finally escapes when a rift is opened, and she finds herself on popstar. (That happens right as Magolor loses and vanishes to that dimension, they like switch spots) With no idea where she is, she steals a star ship from a garage of what seems to be some celebrity or something, idk they had a lot of cars and ships (you’ll never guess who METAKNIGHT OMG yeah) and she heads into space to find her father again. After finding haltmann works, she goes inside to see her father again after all these years, but he doesn’t remember her. Desperately she tries to make him remember, but nothing works. She ends up resorting to being a secretary, hoping maybe one day her father will recognize her again, and plotting to steal the machine that stole her father from her. She’s forced to work in a company she knows is corrupt, just to try to get her dad to remember her.
Planet Robobot:
After getting captured by someone as he entered haltmann works, Meta knight waited in a room for a representative to come talk to him, enter Susie Haltmann. Susie explains a new program called the “Mechanization program”, a new experimental initiative, which gave the person robotic armor that worked with the body to make them more efficient in fighting, and overall just an upgrade to an organic body. Two things to keep in mind though, one, Susie wasn’t really trying to do anything drastic, all she was trying to do was do something big enough in the company to impress her father so that maybe he would remember her, and two, Meta knight had recently (in previous games) been shown to be obsessed with improving his fighting skills, fighting on his own to prove his strength, and proving he’s the greatest warrior ever ( amazing mirror, meta knightmare ultra, etc.) so to him, this program sounded like free plastic surgery to hi so obviously he said yes. Before starting the mechanization process, he had to have a checkup, to make sure his health was up to par, which is how she found out he was blind.
Meta knights’ sight regained:
Before the mechanization started, Susie had to fix his eyes. She replaced them with robotic prosthetics that would help the mecha armor navigate, and after years of being blind, he would finally be able to see again. (His eyes turn yellow permanently after this game so it’s like proof) After surgery, he was extremely overwhelmed, and tried escaping to see Kirby and all his other loved ones, but since he had already signed the contract, she couldn’t let him leave, and the mechanization process continued.
Mechanization:
Technically he wasn’t turned into a cyborg, the mechanization process was more like giving the person mechanization armor that moved for them, meaning the person didn’t have to really even move, and the armor would control the person inside. The person inside acted as more of a skeleton. So the armor wasn’t a part of you (like she didn’t rip him apart and replace his entire body with robot ( except for his eyes but she just freaking made him see again so pllplppt)), it was more of an add on. (In the game the armor is completely off by the next cutscene so yeah no it wasn’t crazy cyborg stuff sorry) When he fought Kirby, he unfortunately couldn’t see him yet, because the program in the mech suit completely took over his vision, so he didn’t see Kirby until the very end.
End of robobot:
After fighting star dream and winning, he saved Kirby and they both land safely on popstar once again. Kirby doesn’t realize at first that Meta knight can see him, and meta knight stays very silent for a while taking it all in, but when Kirby finally realizes, it’s really sweet and they hug and cry and it’s just like GHHHHUHHVHJHHH 😢😢😭😭
From this point on, meta knight slows down a lot and stops trying to be insanely like in gonna be the best and I have to be strong and yeah, he retires from being a warrior like that, and spends time taking in what he hasn’t been able to see for almost 20 years.
Meta knight and Susie:
During his mechanization process, he became very good friends with Susie. Since she had just recently come back from an alternate dimension, he was the first person she could talk to, and they both had very similar traumas that they could bond over (losing their family for an extended time, feeling isolated, being related to a very bad person/ being, etc.) and meta knight felt he had, and always would have, an eternal debt to her for giving him his vision back. So there was never really intense conflict between them, they were just friends, until having to be separated at the very end.
After robobot:
After a much needed break, meta knight became a lot more peaceful and appreciated his family and his life a lot more, he finally felt truly happy and optimistic towards life in general. As for Susie, she did continue her fathers legacy by mechanizing different planets and people, but not in the way it seemed. She helped bring clean energy to different planets that needed help after haltmann works damaging their ecosystems, and she provided prosthetics for people who needed them, and helped many people regain their vision and hearing. (The reason why she was made to look like a bad guy is because since the people of popstar found out that she turned THEIR PRECIOUS META KNIGHT into a cyborg, they immediately assumed the worst and twisted her story around to make her look like she was a horrible person like her dad, which was just not true)
Star allies:
Star allies is really when Meta knight and Susie grew close. Finally being able to work on the same team helped them become even better friends, bond over shared experiences, and eventually lead to their relationship. They found someone they could truly talk about their trauma with, and it was just really great all around and it’s just sweet okay they both get their happy ending.
Forgotten land:
During forgotten land, meta knight has truly settled down and retired from his life of fighting like crazy and being crazy fighter
( I mean unless in one of the next games he comes out of retirement but we’ll see) and he focused on the slower life, he settled down with Susie, they wished for a kid, and life is really good. He will always continue to train Kirby, and anyone else, but after years of so many traumatic things happening to him, he’s now able to relax and heal from it all. 😊😊
Timeline:
Mk 25- Kirby is born
Mk 30 K 5- Mk called back to the second war
Mk 34- he comes back to popstar after the second war

3 and 6 for Matt please
3) Who depends on them. & something they lost, but would love to have back
These days? No one lol. Every once in a blue moon, Alfred needs his emotional support canuck or some backup or another pair of hands or a second pair of eyes. He might smack Matt on the shoulder like, "what would I do with out you, dude?" but that's a shakey premise on a good day. Love doesn't correspond 1:1 with need. Arthur is much more enmeshed with Europe whether he likes it or not. Jack and Zee go into the Pacific whether he likes it or not.
The picture differed greatly between the early Cold War and World War Two. Matt was this incredibly important bridge between two empires. I think we, myself included, sleep on this as a community. But so do even Canadian historians, unless they have a taste for diplomatic history. Just how important Canada was not only to the Americans and the British as two entities but how little would have gotten done in the North Atlantic without the ability to keep shit running, and everyone getting along just gets lost in the more dramatic stories. No one will make a movie like Saving Private Ryan or Dunkirk about boring stuff like food logistics or submarine hunting. Or if they do, the protagonist is going to be an American. British units serving next to Americans all across the European theatre dragged Canadian officers with them to do what essentially became anglo-to-anglo translation. We have this picture from the top down of Churchill and Roosevelt, but on every level below that, Canada is the great facilitator. To the point it causes conflict with India, Australia, South Africa and France. Even the USSR got a bit miffed about the influence of Canada in the early UN. At one point, he was this hinge between the power brokers and held enormous power. It's a lot of emotional intelligence that my autistic ass is kind of shit at writing, but the sheer influence he held for about 20 years is just so intense.
There was also a time when he was absolutely indispensable to his father. Need a war crime committed? The spare is prepared. More than half of the UK's food between 1940 and 1944 was Canadian, including 77% of wheat. By '44, More than 45% of RAF ground crews? Canadian. More than a quarter of the pilots were also Canadian. The entire gold reserve of the British Empire was smuggled to Montreal quietly and competently even most economic historians don't even remember its a thing. If it was asked of him, he did it, and he did it well.
But that was a very long time ago now. And perhaps, as L.P. Hartley put it, the past is another country. And I think Matt of today misses that time. Not the blood and treasure lost, not the strain, and god knows not the empire or even the rest of it, really. But there was that snapshot in time where he spoke and was heard. Before the French decided the Francophone soul of Canada was again politically expedient and did their damndest to tear it out, Matt was in so many ways, a stupidly important power broker. But that was long before he became a negative space where any echo of what Americans are or are not sounds.

OOC: Hey guys since it's getting close to Hall/o/ween, if you're interested in a ghost story, I'll share mine below. All of it is 100% true.
Growing up, we always had a few ghosts around and some were tricksters. Once when I was really young, the power had gone out for some reason that I don't remember. My dad was outside doing something, mom was sleeping. My sister and I were bored so we were in my room playing around with flashlights and we had the dumb idea to get into my closet and pretend it was a rocket ship (I know, I know that sounds silly now). Suddenly we heard a thud against the closet door and we were understandably scared and wanted to know what made that noise, so I tried opening the door and it wouldn't budge. We tried screaming for mom and dad but we couldn't get their attention. I eventually got down on the floor and looked under the door and a magnetic board that's used to put those letters on, like you would a fridge, had somehow picked itself up and wedged itself underneath the closet door knob. I shoved my hand under the door, which was a bit difficult, and managed to knock it out of the way and we flew out of the room to tell mom what had happened.
Other things have happened like toys picked themselves up and were thrown across the room, stereo systems would turn on by themselves, bed's would be sat on and shook like someone else was in the room, things would go missing, etc. All of the stereotypical stuff we have experienced it.
I don't know which ghost did what, but the main one we saw was a dark figure that wore a trench coat and hat and was carrying around something that looked like a cup and he had a limp. We named him Arthur MacArthur. One night I was in the living room by myself watching TV in a rocking chair. I heard footsteps coming up behind me and I thought nothing of it because I thought it may have been mom coming out of her room and there felt like a hand that put itself on the top of it and was pulling it backwards and that was when I decided to look up to see if it was her and there was absolutely nothing but air there. As you can imagine I got up and ran out of there and something hit the dreamcatcher we having hanging up and caused that to move. Almost like something ran through it.
Now Arthur, he would sometimes stand over my bed at night when I was younger and held out his hand with whatever kind of cup he had in it almost like he was wanting me to put something in there. What it was I have no idea. My sister could see him in better detail than I could, though. I could only see like a shadowy figure, she could see that he was wearing a pinstripe suit and tie and a fedora. And she had described this to some of her friends at school and once when they were sitting off to themselves, they all felt someone standing there watching them and they looked up at the same time and one of them asked her, "Is that Arthur?" So they had been able to see him too and figure out who this ghost was just by the details that she had given to them.
Now the weird thing is, we don't live in an old house. No one lived in it before we have, so we figure that the land itself must play a part in it. But anyways, a few years ago, roughly 5-6 years ago I'd say, shortly before my grandfather passed away, he told me a story about his own grandfather. I don't remember what prompted it, but suddenly a lot of things started to make sense. I won't give a lot of details on this, but he said that his grandfather had shot a man by the name of Arthur McCarthy. I don't think he killed him, but he did shoot at him. Maybe that explains the limp. I don't know. But it was because he had been treating a family member of theirs horribly and he was getting tired of it and shot at him. It also explains the clothes he was wearing, too, very appropriate for that time period.

you may have seen my previous theory on wtf is going on with john doe malevolent, but i have more proof this time to show for my hypothesis!
in episode one, we first hear someone turning on a radio, presumably in a car, listening to “You call it madness (but I call it love)” by Russ Columbo (not the 1946 version by nat king cole trio we all put in playlists lol), then arthur gain consciousness
afterwards, they are in bookstore when a radio starts playing the song again, the entity doesn’t see the radio, but he does recognise the song
both arthur and the entity recognise this is odd, since atp the entity had only been in arthur’s body for 20 odd minutes
but, if you’re caught up, you’ll recognise that this is moment directly parallels a scene in part 33
this, however is not the only time something like this happens. in part 5, john uses a turn of phrase
this moment is soon after arthur’s month-long coma, so unless lily had been reading robert frost to arthur (which john would’ve most certainly mentioned when arthur brought it up), he shouldnt have any way of knowing this sentence.
the first time we hear the poem in full is in part 26
but even still, in the context of the moment, why does john know this poem? he’s had no moment since he came back to learn anything of the sort, even ignoring the time it’d take to memorise something like this.
before this, there are only two instances of 'miles to go before i sleep' appearing, once at the end of part 17 and just before arthur leaps of the edge in part 23
so now, my answer to all these questions is a bit weird.
in part 1, the entity says as follows regarding time in other worlds and the dark world as being timeless
which initially led me to reach the idea that john's forgetfulness in part 33 has to do with the time he spent away from arthur in s3, which he claims he does not remember.
i think he was actually sent back to the dark world and spent an indefinite time there, since there is none, causing him to forget finer details. but that raises leaves many questions unanswered, like why did the entity know the song before ever being with arthur?
i think it's time fuckery. the entity we see in part one could be some sort of future!john, at some point he could be sent back to the dark world indefinitely once more, than brought back via the book at a different moment in time that from which he left, the past.
this theory makes a lot of leaps, but it also gives reason to why john already knows call it madness and miles to go, i believe he might use both of these as some sort of anchor to not go mad himself in the dark world, thought he does end up losing parts of himself and of arthur. still, he isnt completely gone, which is why he's eventually capable of becoming john again
it also kind of explains the first sentence the entity ever says in the show
of course, on your first listen you assume he means what happened to arthur a few moments prior, but with the context of a timeloop, he could be referring to the whole shows events, even what we havent seen
later, when john says he doesn't remember who he is either, and arthur says
i understand that the entity knowing what he is might help them both, but it's still a weird thing to say. arthur has just woken up with a corpse and voice in his head, and acts like it's not his first time doing this? i'm not saying he'd remember, but it would make more sense if he was partially amnesiac to the future/past loops like the entity/john
also, i think it's important to distinguish the entity and john, the former being an amnesiac john who has only the potential to become john, but could just as easily become yellow.
last point is, obviously, also a massive stretch.
in part 9, after their first consequential argument (as in it nearly gets them imprisoned), arthur tells this fable to john
which yeah, could be foreshadowing john being the king in yellow in the s1 finale, but. it wouldn't make much sense since john doesn't permanently get him and arthur killed?
i think it goes like this, if it lines up with my theory.
john starts forgetting about the dark world, starts getting dicier and riskier with his and arthur's choices, whether it be about his deal with kayne or other future lies, but he pushes and he keeps pushing until both he and arthur meet their end. at some point, he gets himself sent back to the dark world and arthur killed/otherwise indefinitely unavailable, and as he does, he says "it is in my nature", so the last thing he tell arthur isnt sorry, but an excuse. perhaps they end on bad terms, after all he's promised to not let him drown.
he is left there to rot in his misery with only faint memories of his new self (significant moments, like him telling arthur the poem) and after he starts forgetting, a long time for a place with no time, he is pulled into the book in the past, eventually reaching arthur again. he might recognise arthur's voice, but he might not remember enough at this point, having turned back into the entity, no longer being john.
but hey. this is based on my relisten of s1 and little else. i love stretching the canon to make it make sense lmao
edit 05/12/23 — further proof i only now noticed in episode 30 “The Tenant”

May 24, or: Lucy and the Three Suitors
The first was too straightforward, the second was too jolly, and the last was just right.
...Okay, it's not quite that simple, especially given that Lucy didn't describe Arthur's proposal in detail, but it's still interesting to notice the differences in their proposals and what that reveals about them as characters, or more specifically about their relationship to Lucy. Let's take a glance. (This wound up just being Lucy/Arthur propaganda, basically.)
John 'Jack' Seward
"number One came just before lunch"
"He was very cool outwardly, but was nervous all the same. He had evidently been schooling himself as to all sorts of little things, and remembered them; but he almost managed to sit down on his silk hat, which men don't generally do when they are cool, and then when he wanted to appear at ease he kept playing with a lancet in a way that made me nearly scream."
"He spoke to me, Mina, very straightforwardly. He told me how dear I was to him, though he had known me so little, and what his life would be with me to help and cheer him."
"He was going to tell me how unhappy he would be if I did not care for him, but when he saw me cry he said that he was a brute and would not add to my present trouble. Then he broke off and asked if I could love him in time; and when I shook my head his hands trembled"
"with some hesitation he asked me if I cared already for any one else. He put it very nicely, saying that he did not want to wring my confidence from me, but only to know, because if a woman's heart was free a man might have hope."
"he looked very strong and very grave as he took both my hands in his and said he hoped I would be happy, and that if I ever wanted a friend I must count him one of my best"
Number One obviously practiced for this. He rehearsed it in his head, had a clear script, and only broke away from that when it became very obvious that his straightforward and direct approach was upsetting Lucy. He cut himself off right away once he did notice, to his credit, but still seemed to hold hopes that perhaps this might be just because she doesn't know him well enough yet, or that he might hold out hope for the future. Depending on whether or not you think the suitors all knew they had shared affections for the same girl (I lean towards yes), then the hesitation kind of points towards him hoping it isn't what he already suspects to be true.
He knew he would be extremely nervous and attempted to hide his nerves by carefully and deliberately controlling his actions. But again and again, Lucy saw through him. I think his coming earlier in the day points as well to 'getting it over with', not letting his nerves build up even longer (especially if he knows the others are proposing too and if she says yes he won't get a chance). The way he spoke to her, very directly and clearly, points not only to nerves and trying to stick to things that are simple/difficult to bungle, but also to a more direct approach socially. He's not as comfortable with talking around things, he wants to be clear and direct. This isn't a bad quality but is one that might be difficult for Lucy if he expects the same from other people. She has already made a couple of comments that suggest she has a hard time being honest/direct with her words. If this man doesn't notice her unease until she is literally crying in front of him, he's probably not tuned in enough to be able to get her to admit when something is bothering her.
While he meant only the best, he was unable to easily read her feelings, and unable to hide the depth his own. He left Lucy feeling guilty that she couldn't reciprocate, knowing that by failing to do so she was causing him pain.
Quincey P. Morris
"number Two came after lunch"
"He is such a nice fellow, an American from Texas, and he looks so young and so fresh that it seems almost impossible that he has been to so many places and has had such adventures. [...] I know now what I would do if I were a man and wanted to make a girl love me. No, I don't,"
"he found out that it amused me to hear him talk American slang, and whenever I was present, and there was no one to be shocked, he said such funny things"
"Mr. Morris sat down beside me and looked as happy and jolly as he could, but I could see all the same that he was very nervous."
"'Miss Lucy, I know I ain't good enough to regulate the fixin's of your little shoes, but I guess if you wait till you find a man that is you will go join them seven young women with the lamps when you quit. Won't you just hitch up alongside of me and let us go down the long road together, driving in double harness?'"
"he did look so good-humoured and so jolly that it didn't seem half so hard to refuse him as it did poor Dr. Seward; so I said, as lightly as I could, that I did not know anything of hitching, and that I wasn't broken to harness at all yet. Then he said that he had spoken in a light manner, and he hoped that if he had made a mistake in doing so on so grave, so momentous, an occasion for him, I would forgive him."
"He really did look serious when he was saying it, and I couldn't help feeling a bit serious too"
"before I could say a word he began pouring out a perfect torrent of love-making, laying his very heart and soul at my feet. He looked so earnest over it that I shall never again think that a man must be playful always, and never earnest, because he is merry at times. I suppose he saw something in my face which checked him, for he suddenly stopped, and said with a sort of manly fervour that I could have loved him for if I had been free:—'[...]Tell me, like one good fellow to another, is there any one else that you care for?"
"That quite won me, Mina, for it was brave and sweet of him, and noble, too, to a rival—wasn't it?—and he so sad; so I leant over and kissed him."
"He wrung my hand, and taking up his hat, went straight out of the room without looking back, without a tear or a quiver or a pause; and I am crying like a baby."
Quincey followed right after lunch, right in the middle of the day. Once again, she saw that he looked nervous, but by and large he succeeds too well in hiding his own feelings from Lucy. This is the opposite problem from the last proposal. She notices his charm plenty, but because there is so much of it and because he does it so well, she initially feels that he is less sincere, or at least less vulnerable. Lucy is more moved by Quincey, and thinks he could win her over if she weren't already in love, but she also seems to think his charm is more generally polished and not as specific to her. In reality though, Quincey has been altering his behavior to please her and came with a planned proposal that he thought would make her happy. Once again, it didn't go the way he expected and he had to improvise, but the way he did so was different. He deliberately opened up and let her see how deeply he felt, and then that moved her much more than his lighthearted approach had. But he also noticed her emotions weren't quite matching his, and stopped himself. He noticed sooner, and she again responded to him more, but this was still after he had given his big speech 'before she could say a word', somewhat cutting her off. Once again, the communication isn't quite on a level, although it comes closer.
Quincey is more socially adept but also more likely to hold back his own feelings. He tells stories and jokes to please others. While he's generally more confident, I think the way it takes him so long to bare his emotions also can point to him having difficulty opening up like that. Sure, it was a strategy, but one that speaks to how he usually approaches difficult conversations. He's generally not as comfortable being so direct, at least about his own feelings (of course when he has to face that she doesn't return them, he isn't hesitant/is brave, and once he acts he does so resolutely). He's more similar to Lucy in this way, but maybe too similar, enough that it's hard for both of them to be serious/straightforward with one another. When he got her to take him seriously and it didn't work out, he retreated and she was left feeling guilty once again. Less so than before, I think, as she has more confidence in his ability to handle his own emotions, but that could also just point to her not being able to see him as clearly.
Arthur Holmwood
"Arthur tried twice to make a chance, and I helping him all I could;"
"it was all so confused; it seemed only a moment from his coming into the room till both his arms were round me, and he was kissing me"
"I am very, very happy, and I don't know what I have done to deserve it. I must only try in the future to show that I am not ungrateful to God for all His goodness to me in sending to me such a lover, such a husband, and such a friend."
Less to say here! But let's notice how it contrasts the others. While they had only one successful try, Arthur has taken three attempts to get out his proposal (counting this successful one). This could point to a couple of things - he sees her more often, he's alone with her more frequently but for shorter amounts of time, he's more confident he will be received well, he's having trouble holding his feelings back. I think it's probably a combination of all of the above. They've spent a lot of time together, enough to start rumors. Her mom likes him a lot and wants to spend time with him too, and perhaps thus interrupts them more. Lucy has also been trying to help him make chances, which he's noticed. And lastly, he doesn't even attempt to hide his feelings here.
Earlier, Lucy mentioned that she wasn't sure he loved her back, but it seems like that may be more her doubting herself than him trying to restrain his emotions. Because at least as far as we are told, he doesn't try to control himself at all. He also does not have a speech. Maybe this is down to the earlier failed attempts, and he wants to just get it all out now in a rush. But regardless, in this entry at least Lucy is able to clearly read his interest, and he can clearly read hers in return. Rather than the mistakes made between the others, there is no confusion here. They are both on the same page.
.
Any one of these men could have potentially won Lucy over in different circumstances. They all genuinely love her and they all have good relationships. (I love the way Lucy emphasizes that Arthur is her friend too, as well as the others.) But Lucy/Arthur is the couple we end up with. Partly this is due to pre-existing feelings. But I think timing aside, we also see that there are some communication difficulties with the other two men. Whether it's trouble noticing the other's emotions (Lucy for Quincey, Jack for Lucy), or difficulty communicating the depth of their own feelings (Quincey, Lucy), etc.
The usage of the planned and specific proposal vs. the more spontaneous and confused one illustrates this well. Lucy entries continue to have a focus on the ability to speak freely. Sure, we don't actually hear either of the couple speak directly here, but that actually points to them being so caught up in/openly expressing themselves that it's all just a jumble. There is no long stilted conversation, no one-sided speechifying. They're both involved, both equally caught up in emotion.
Not to get into spoilers, but... I think it's important for Lucy to be with someone who is able to tell how she is feeling, and communicate his own emotions clearly to her. It's a good match for her tendency to downplay or have difficulty expressing herself. While everyone could do well enough, the way the proposals are written set Arthur up as having the best ability to be open/get Lucy to open up as well.
Sure, her mother likes him, and he's rich and titled, but on an interpersonal level I think he is genuinely the best choice for her, not merely a safe one.

up there came a flower
For @aphcardverse-week's Day 3: Someone Bless These Seeds I Sow | garden | fairies | rot
England/Canada | 1.5k words | warnings: noncon (blackmail), cheating/adultery
Summary:
One of a Queen's most sacred duties is to provide their kingdom with little princes and princesses. But Arthur has passed year after year without managing to conceive a child. He's sick of the gossip and snickers and sneers, and of his flat belly. He's had enough—his barren years are ending now. If King Alfred can't provide an heir, maybe his brother can.
Can be read on the Archive of Our Own or underneath the Readmore:
The King and Queen are both healthy. Some of the healthiest royals in any of the four kingdoms. They're always active, horseback riding and taking strolls through the nearby woods and keeping up their sword fighting skills even though there are hundreds of guards to protect them.
They're fit and vigorous, none of that lazing about on a throne all day for King Alfred and Queen Arthur. Maybe King Alfred likes his food a little too much, but no one could tell by looking at him.
Stripped to his waist in the practice yard with a sword in hand, sweaty and gleaming as he faces off against his spouse, he's the picture of youthful male beauty and strength. Across from him the Queen is just as impressively healthy.
So why then, do members of the court and increasingly even the peasants, whisper and wonder why the Queen hasn't yet carried an heir for the kingdom?
Those few in the know could tell you that the royal doctor had examined the Queen's womb and found it flawless, as had the doctor brought in for a second opinion.
The servants who collected the royal couple's bedding to wash would whisper to you that the absence of a royal baby wasn't for lack of trying—there's enough jizz on the sheets every morning to impregnate all the queens of the four kingdoms.
(Maybe that's the problem, they giggle. Too much royal seed on the sheets and not in Queen Arthur's hole.)
Whatever the cause, it's been five years since the King and Queen were wed, and Queen Arthur, already a little older than his King, isn't getting any younger.
Arthur needs to get pregnant soon if he's to have any chance of carrying an heir. This is what has him walking down a corridor of the palace he's only been down a few times before.
Arthur is not a quitter. Arthur does not lay down and accept defeat. For every problem there is a solution—if one is bold enough to seek it and embrace it.
If all goes well, problem-solving won't be the only thing he's embracing tonight.
It's late and Arthur is weary after a long day of sitting on the throne for hours hearing petitions, then swordfighting with Alfred to keep sharp, then doing his self-assigned daily hour of magical research (he's tried every spell, potion, and ritual that could possibly help but he keeps hunting).
His work isn't over yet. His feet take him to what he vaguely remembers is the door to the bedchambers of Matthew, the courts' Ace and his husband's identical twin.
Arthur knocks quietly on the door (there's nothing <i>wrong</i> with the Queen visiting the Ace's personal rooms, but Arthur wants no one to know of this). Matthew's soft voice, so inoffensive and blandly pleasing to the ear, beckons him inside.
"Your Majesty," Matthew bows.
"Hello Matthew," Arthur says.
Matthew moves a stack of books off the wingback chair next to the fireplace, and Arthur sits down. Matthew sits across from him, quiet, but with his fingers tapping restlessly against his knee.
"So, did you consider my proposal?" Arthur asks, his voice so casual that no one could ever guess that the future of the kingdom rests on Matthew's answer.
"I did and—" Matthew mild voice becomes wrenched, "Arthur, I just can't. He's my brother."
"I see," Arthur says.
Arthur's nostrils flare with repressed anger. He sees weakness, sentimentality, a short-sighted desire to be kind that will lead to cruel effects on the ones it's aiming to spare. Arthur isn't about to let the kingdom, everything he and Alfred worked so hard for, fall to ruin because of one man's cowardly unwillingness to do what fate demands must be done.
Appeals to logic, to duty, to the safety of the realm, have all failed in the face of Matthew's staunch loyalty and morality. Perhaps a different tack is needed.
"Matthew, you know you'd be doing him a favor. This is the only way Alfred will get to be a father. Don't you want him to know that joy?" Arthur asks.
Matthew hesitates now, biting his lip, "If you'd just ask Al, get his okay—"
"He'd never say yes. He's too proud. Too unwilling to admit to himself or anyone else that he's the problem," Arthur says.
There, said aloud, laid bare, the truth that no one dares say but they all must awkwardly walk around regardless.
"Maybe if I talked to him—" Matthew tries.
"No!" Arthur almost shouts.
The last thing he wants is for Alfred to have any inkling of this plan. If Alfred knows that Arthur is willing to do such a thing, the paternity of any child of theirs will forever be in question, no matter how much it looks like Alfred.
"You're not to tell him anything of this," Arthur orders.
Matthew opens his mouth to argue, but Arthur cuts him off. "I didn't want to do it this way. I thought you would be willing to make the sacrifices needed without pressure but...very well."
"What—" Matthew starts to ask.
"Your brother...I'm sure he'd be very interested in the letters you've been sending to the Kingdom of Clubs," Arthur says, and there are icebergs warmer than his voice.
Matthew freezes. There's no way Alfred can find out about his letters with King Ivan—no way Alfred can take such news as anything other than a betrayal. Even aside from the obvious conflict of loyalties that...befriending...a foreign kingdom's royals entails, Alfred has this whole weird rivalry thing with Ivan that he's weirdly possessive about.
"I have copies of all the palace's incoming and outgoing mail," Arthur continues, as if Matthew needed further proof of how screwed he is.
"So, how do you want to do this?" Matthew asks, shoulders slumped.
"Just lay back and let me do the work," Arthur advises.
He has more experience being on top, doesn't like the feeling of having no control as someone senselessly batters him.
Matthew does as bid, undressing silently and moving to the bed.
His obedience is very convenient, and a little intoxicating. Arthur loves Alfred to bits, but he's a hard man to control. Arthur is used to having to fight to get his way on everything, and Alfred is never brought to this level of defeat, cowed to submit so deeply.
A little smile playing about the corners of his mouth, Arthur sheds his trousers, leaving them on the chair next to the bed, and moves to sit next to where Matthew is laying.
Matthew is unfortunately, completely flaccid, but Arthur is still pleased at the sight. Long and thick even in resting state, Matthew's penis appears essentially identical to Alfred's, confirming the rightness of Arthur's plot. Two brothers, but the same cock, the same sac, the same seed.
There are no more words spoken between them—none are necessary. Arthur gets to work, soft warm mouth and clever tongue working expertly to bring Matthew up to full hardness. He has all the same sensitive spots as Alfred, and Arthur hums out a pleased sigh around Matthew's cock.
Matthew trembles under his ministrations, fingers clutching the bedspread while Arthur brings him to the brink.
And then backs off, pulling his mouth away and leaving Matthew's hips to thrust in the air seeking contact, friction, release. Arthur will give it to him—when he's in the right spot.
Arthur rises up and straddles Matthew, lining himself up carefully, and then drops down in one smooth motion, taking Matthew's cock to the hilt. Arthur isn't doing this for pleasure, but he's nonetheless very, very wet from spending so long sucking and swallowing at a cock that is almost his beloved husband's, perhaps spurred on a little too by the thrill of victory, of getting his way, of successfully locking the prey between his jaws.
It only takes a little bit of rocking and grinding before Matthew's face scrunches up and his eyes roll back, a soft groan escaping his mouth. Arthur feels it then, the hot wet stripes of semen being painted on his inner walls.
He can't help but moan a little, reveling in the feeling of being filled up with cream, a pleasure too often denied him by his husband. He clamps down around Matthew's cock as tightly as he can, as if could wring out every drop of life-giving fluid from him. Arthur certainly feels like he's taken it all. But some trickles out when he pushes himself off of Matthew, and Arthur sighs. It's over, it's done. All that tension and stress over something that look less than half an hour to complete.
Matthew ignores him as Arthur redresses, and Arthur heads out the door without so much as a goodbye.
He walks down the halls towards his own bedroom, where his husband is waiting. Halfway there, he stops. There's no one around to hear him laugh as he feels it. He'll need to cast one of his body scan spells to confirm it, but Arthur can just tell somehow, that the seed has taken root and will soon sprout.

merlin S1 rewatch: episode 6
it’s been a hot minute! today’s commentary is about episode 1x06, A Remedy to Cure All Ills. which I re-watched more than a month ago actually, but I’ve been busy.
just some random comments and thoughts (as usual), and not an actual review or analysis.
I think this episode is extremely underrated – I loved it the first time I watched it, and I still thoroughly enjoyed it on my rewatch. yes, it’s kind of a filler episode with a very traditional Villain of the Week format – but it's a great villain.
Julian Rhind-Tutt’s performance as Edwin is great and I love a suave, smooth-talking, scheming villain as much as the next person. The way he manipulates people, never suggesting anything outright but playing on people’s fears and biases, only saying just enough to make them reach the conclusion he wants. Something very Richard III about it. Very Iago.
EDWIN: “No… I shan’t say”
Another thing I love about this episode is the rare (unique?) instance of Merlin showing his magic to another sorcerer whom he isn't suspicious of (the audience knows Edwin is the Bad Guy, of course, but at this point Merlin doesn't).
I can’t think of another moment like this in the series. Freya didn’t actually have magic. There is Gilli, but when Merlin reveals his magic to him he already knows of the boy's intention to kill Uther, and it is a last attempt to stop Gilli from committing regicide without putting him in harm’s way. Merlin's relationship with Mordred and the Druids was always complicated by prophecies and by his role as Emrys.
But there’s none of that here. Edwin tells Merlin that magic can be used for good, and that it can be ENJOYED! which is all Merlin ever wanted to hear. And it’s a bit heartbreaking to see the hope on Merlin's face, knowing all that is going to happen later in the series.
I also loved the previous interaction between Merlin and Edwin:
“It can’t explain love”!! He’s a romantic. He loves love 🥺🥺🥺
I think the writers lost sight of Edwin’s motive a bit by the time they got to the ending. He’s not content with just killing Uther, he also wants to… rule the kingdom? And he tells Merlin they can do it together? (a concept revisited in the Cornelius Sigan episode). I don't think it works well.
I think Edwin’s final evil speech would have been way more impactful if he had tried to appeal to Merlin’s empathetic side, instead of his non-existent thirst for power, and reminded him of all the suffering Uther caused and why he deserved to die. I guess that would be a moral dilemma that deserves more than a few minutes of screen time to be resolved satisfactorily, and we’re already at the end of the episode at this point.
The series does dwell on it in To Kill the King, to be fair, but I think the “why not just let Uther die?” dilemma could have been presented before then. (Merlin's momentarily hesitation at healing Uther at the end is more to do with his fear of being seen using magic by Uther than by an actual reluctance to save the king.)
Anyway. I still think this is a very good episode overall, even with its relatively weak ending.
Other random thoughts:
The random-ass reference to alchemy. Something that wasn’t elaborated on, nor ever mentioned again (??) Missed opportunity imo.
Gaius is made "a free man of Camelot", whatever that means. (Does it mean that he, like Merlin, is not from Camelot? Or is it some kind of special privilege? We don’t know. I think maybe in Love at the Time of Dragons Gaius mentions something about he and Alice coming to Camelot but I can’t remember and I can’t be bothered to check now)
Some excellent display of brotherly concern from Arthur when Morgana falls sick. He's the one pushing for Uther to call for Edwin. We love to see it
Merlin and Gaius all but call each other father and son. DON’T TOUCH ME.
Gaius was 100% ready to let Uther die if it meant saving Merlin’s life. btw.
Gaius and Uther. WHAT ARE THEY
All the heavy hints at Gaius’s acting as a Category Traitor in the Great Purge + the only instance of Gaius talking to Kilgharrah (!!!) I am obsessed with it
The paralles between Uther & Gaius and Arthur & Merlin. I feel absolutely normal about it
“Now, open your eyes, My Lord. I want my face to be the last face you ever see.” -> I don’t care if it’s cliched, this line fucks
MERLIN CLAIMS ANOTHER VICTIM, AT LAST!! I was starting to worry but finally my baby is back to killing people :)

Drabble: Arthur Harrow visits his mother
Prompt: How would Harrow be with his mom? Arthur Harrow x Reader
Rating: Teen/General Mentioning of: Cult, family life, kids, pregnancy, overbearing mom, age difference, age gap. Imagine if Harrow’s mother would still be alive. How would their relationship be?
00—oo — 00
“Is she part of your cult?” the old woman’s voice croaked while she tried to sit a little straighter in her chair. Her hunched form an indication of her age. There was a buzzing all around her from other elderly people, each seated at different tables with their own visitors. The nursery home had an excellent cuisine and the cafeteria staff was busy keeping everyone fed.
“It’s not a cult mom,” Arthur said calmly, like he had not taken it as an insult. He had, his mom could tell, but she thought it was admirable how collected he managed to remain nowadays. He’d been different in the past, she remembered. “But no,” there was only a short pause but it was enough to betray he felt discomfort talking about this subject. His mother could hazard a guess as to why. She watched him as he sat in front of her, steaming cup of coffee nearly untouched. His left hand rested on top of his right, over the heads of the crocodiles adorning his cane. “She is not.”
“An outsider?” She sounded surprised and watched her son flinch. Despite their ages, some things would never change. He would always be her son, whether he be one or fifty years of age. And she would always worry about him, even if he was taking care of his own for years now.
“Just a girl,” he did not want to talk, because he did not want to give too much away. Like always, he rather hid the truth, only showing what glimpses of it that he could share to sway someone’s mind or opinion.
“A girl?” his mother sounded worried and placed her hand on top of his, leaning over to have proper eye contact with him. She was searching his eyes for something, and he knew it. She could read him like an open book. He pretty much had inherited that skill from her, after all.
“Woman, then,” Arthur said, seeing his mother’s expression. He knew she only grasped a little of what he was doing, not that he had informed her of all. He wanted her to remain ignorant. Not to be tainted in case anything went wrong and his enemies caught sight of her. She was to remain safe. Happy.
That’s why he had her in the most luxurious nursery home he could find. Here, she’d be cared for. Here, she’d be away from harmful hands.
He realized that she still held certain opinions about his community and the role he played there. “She’s an adult, mom,” he reassured her. “It’s just, she’s much younger than me.”
“How much younger,” his mother mistrustingly asked. She narrowed her eyes at him, her frail old hand curling slightly tighter around his. She might be in her early eighties and not as fit as some of her friends still were, but she still had some strength in her.
Arthur didn’t react to her touch, merely stared her down. “Love doesn’t discriminate.”
“You make it sound worrisome,” she lamented, retracting her hand and fearing the worst. She’d seen these documentaries of other cults. Their leaders had sometimes slept with incredibly young – she didn’t wish to think of it. Not her son. Arthur could tell the thoughts that swirled inside of her head and gently placed a hand on top of hers now.
“She’s in her early twenties,” he said reassuringly. Thumb rubbing past her knuckles gently.
“I am still worried,” his mother confessed. “Why would she want an old sod like you?”
“Mom!”
“I know, I know,” his mother smiled at him and shook her head. “I am just messing with you. But I do urge you to think of what her future will be like, the way things are heading now. You’re trying to be kind to everyone you meet, Arthur. The bad things are in the past and I am proud of how you coped with that,” and here he remembered being Khonsu’s avatar, and the havoc he had caused. How it had broken his poor mother’s heart to see her youngest son on a murder spree. That he’d gotten away with it had been a miracle. “But now it’s time to move forward. Don’t let your goal keep you away from finding your own paradise.”
“It is this paradise I wish to bring to our earth,” Arthur said calmly.
“Does she know what you’re doing?” his mother asked. And by the way that his face fell she could already guess the answer. “Does she know who you are?”
Arthur didn’t reply with words, merely glanced away.
“You haven’t told her yet?” He could not tell if his mother was disappointed or concerned. Perhaps both.
“It would scare her away,” he softly admitted.
“And she has no idea of who you are? Of the people who look up at you?”
“She is intelligent,” he now fiercely said, eyes upon his mother again. “I do not delude myself into thinking she will never find out.”
“Quite rightly so,” his mom said. She then stretched her legs in front of her chair and sighed. “I am glad you came to visit me. It has been far too long. You are the only family I have left, and then you go off on these long journeys, out and about. It’s frightening sometimes,” she confessed. And Arthur had the decency to look ashamed at her words.
He looked down at his hands. “You know I have an important task at hand, mother,” he replied.
“I know,” she sighed. A silence fell between them. Not awkward, but still painful.
Arthur was the one to break it. “Are they taking good care of you still?”
His mother flashed him an encouraging smile. “Of course they are. You’ve given me the best and for that I am grateful. But son, you don’t need to spend all of your money on me.”
“It’s hardly all,” Arthur whispered.
“I know,” his mom said. “I am just proud of how far you’ve come in life. And the way you stand on your own two feet.”
She sighed, her eyes drifted to his cane. “Metaphorically speaking that is. Now for the real deal, you’re much too young to be walking with a cane.” “I’m fifty-two, mom,” Arthur lamented.
“My point still stands. It is unnecessary, Arthur. No mom would want to see her son suffer like that. Come on now, show me those feet.”
“Mom..”
Begrudgingly, Arthur took one of his sandals off, not entirely, but just enough to show his mother the broken pieces of glass that lay within them and the bloody mess that was his foot.
“See,” his mother said, biting back whatever emotion was threatening to slip through. “ I do hope you’ll ditch those slippers with glass once my grandchildren come around, it’s not safe with a baby, Arthur.”
The man’s eyes widened. Arthur clearly had not expected this. “Mother,” he stammered.
“Oh? You do not think there’ll be any?” she deadpanned. “Are you still living a life of celibacy then?”
When Arthur fell silent and stared in front of him, she knew enough.
“Those dark flushed cheeks, that look, I have known you all of your life, Arthur. Be truthful to me,” she said, trying to persuade him. And being his mom, it worked.
“I might have,” he hesitated here, lips moving but no sound coming forth yet. As if he had to pick the right words to follow next, “indulged. She is,” another hesitation, “out of this world, mother.”
Now a small smile crept on her lips. “Well, that is good.” She watched him for a moment, then pursed her lips. “You know, I was young too once. There’s no need to feel ashamed.”
“I know,” Arthur said, he put his slipper back on and winced as the glass bit into his heel. Then he turned to the cafeteria and nodded.
“Shall I get us another drink then? Mine has gone cold,” he offered.
“Thank you, son. The usual,” his mother agreed, and watched as he got up on his feet awkwardly, then slowly walked away.
“You can come out now dear,” she whispered, prompting you from your hiding spot. “But we have to be fast, he won’t be leaving for another hour or so.”
You dusted your clothes, smoothing out all of the crinkles.
“I had no idea he would visit,” the elderly lady begun, apologizing, “Arthur hardly ever comes around. That’s why I am so glad that you come to hold me company so faithfully.”
“I’ll leave through the backdoor,” you quietly said, giving her a quick hug. “I’ll come back tomorrow at noon so we can have lunch together.”
His mother’s eyes shifted down to your stomach. “Will you tell him soon?”
You hesitated, shocked by her question. “Perhaps,” you murmured, “after his journey to Egypt.”
She placed her hand on top of your tummy. “Don’t let the bad men know,” she whispered, blue eyes upon you. “It’ll be our secret.”
“Our secret,” you echoed while you placed your hand on top. Then both of your hands slid off and you spun on your heels. You glanced over your shoulder to see that Arthur was still with his back towards you, then smiled at his mother “mom.”
The old lady flushed with pride while she watched you go. “The Harrow legacy will continue,” she mumbled happily.
Then a cup of tea was placed in front of her and she smiled up at her son again. Something in his eyes was off. The words he spoke came through clenched teeth.
“What did you just say, mom?”
