I decided I'm taking the L and applying for the car part assembly place that my former neighbor works at cause A) she can vouch for me which increases my chances of actually getting it, B) all the places I actually wanted to work at either aren't hiring or never got back to me but this place is always hiring, and C) it's full-time and pays $17.75 an hour and I've looked at the rent prices for nearby apartments and calculated that with that pay I should be able to move out in about a year give or take so even though I won't enjoy it it'll be worth it in the long run.

So what is the Alien AU exactly??? (AKA: The masterpost)

Long story short, in this AU a group of people are sent off on an AI controlled ship by 'the company' to research a newly discovered planet. Nobody in this research team gets along, which only gets worse after they accidentally capture 2 of the aliens that live there. Now they have to deal with not only their problems, but the problems this new planet is already dealing with.

Questions & Boundries:

Can I ship any of the characters? - Yes! I don't mind shipping at all. I'm a multishipper myself, and while some ships are implied in this AU (Bunnydoll, Abstragedy & Showtime), all are okay with me! - The only exception to this would be ships involving Gummi. While yes, Gummi is sentient, capable of understanding speech, and able to communicate to some degree, I do not feel comfortable shipping him with anyone. He's just friends with some of the other team members.

Can I write/draw/make something for the AU? - Of course!!! I love seeing what other people do with this AU, it really makes my day. Feel free to tag me in anything you do! I only ask that nothing NSFW is done with this AU. Please respect this choice!

Can I put my OC in your AU? - Yep!! I even made blank versions of the info cards if anyone wanted to do this ^w^ The first one is for alien characters, and the second is for team members!

Are you going to add [character]? - Depends! The entire main cast will be added, along with some side characters and NPCs, but it all comes down to if I have an idea for them in the AU. I am a slow artist sometimes, so I probably won't be rushing to get all the info cards done ASAP. Feel free to ask about any specific characters if you're curious!

How does Abstraction work? - There's two types of 'abstraction' in this AU. If we're talking about a team member, they simply get re-assigned to a different team. This is what happened to Queenie and Kaufmo. They're alive and well, just somewhere else. The company can and will re-assign whoever they want, whenever they want. - When it comes to the aliens on the planet, there is an infection spreading around that has similar effects to abstraction in the show. It's not 100% the same, but causes those infected to become extremely hostile and attack anything around them until the host eventually dies. In this AU, Loolilalu (named Candi) is infected, and is seen as a minor threat by the rest of the team. Right now, there is no known cure.

Does the AU take place in a digital world? - No, everything is real. There's no mysterious VR headsets that are making people disappear in this AU!

Why isn't anyone on the research team human? - Because I suck at drawing humans and wanted to stay close to their canon designs. There's not really a lore-related reason for this.

welp, essay time, lets talk about the clown in the room.

the amazing digital circus spoilers below!

so, Kaufmo's room.

The room of a mad man and a recently "abstracted" human. we don't know much about Kaufmo, other than he told unfunny jokes and was looking for a way out. He lost his mind at some point and got "abstracted" as the result.

What this means and how it happens is hard to say for sure as of now, but madness seems to be the main cause of it. Before he turned however, he has spread his madness to the rest of his room, so lets look at what we have here.

Most of it is simply the word "exit" over and over and over and over again with some disturbing art as well.

"EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT"

However, there are some exceptions. Certain spots have partially readable writing on them. To start with, the head of his bed.

"CAN'T SLEEP"

Its partially obscured, but its location behind the pillow make it obvious what it says. They say that they don't need to sleep, but this implies that he wanted to sleep, but couldn't. If that is due to just his madness, or something else its hard to say. Hard to know what that means as of now, but its something to note.

Now the sketch on the back wall. The phrase is fairly self explanatory, as far as we know, there is no way out of the circus. Not much to say about that, but the drawing is interesting. A fanged Cain chasing after Kaufmo. Seems he has a fear of the ringmaster, understandable at first, but further thinking makes you ask some questions.

"NO WAY OUT"

We see at the end of the episode that Cain actually tried to make an exit for them, but never finished his simulated version of the outside. When we first see him dancing around the idea of an exit door, we assume malicious intent. However, its more likely he was referring to this exit, rather than an actual way to leave.

This place is clearly a fabrication of the world outside The Amazing Digital Circus, one half built by Cain. He said he made it because everyone kept asking about it, but never finished it and didn't want them seeing his unfinished work. He also didn't want them ending up in the void, a slightly more important reason to keep it locked up.

But regardless, he did try to actually appease them, give the trapped humans the closest approximation to freedom he could. Its clear that Cain is not in full total control of the circus, its possible that even he doesn't know how to leave.

Anyway, back to my point. Cain is weird, strange, and insane, but he's not really "evil", so Kaufmo's depiction of him doesn't make total sense. But then again, the eyes of madness are hardly a reliable source. We will need to see more of him to learn his true intentions, but for now he just seems unhinged rather than actually bad.

Back to the room though, there is one more thing I want to go over, the foot of his bed.

"WHAT DID THE E------ SAY TO THE C--------"

this one is hard to determine, but thankfully for us, this isn't the only place we see this sentence. We also see it scrawled onto one of the paintings in the wide shot.

"WHAT DID THE EXIT SAY TO THE CLOWN?"

Now at first this seems nonsensical, but remember who wrote this. Kaufmo liked to tell jokes, this is the only real thing we know about him. In that light this is clearly worded as the setup to a joke. This begs the question on what the punchline is, but it also implies that the supposed "exit" somehow communicated with him. Probably not but its something to note.

We have no idea what the punchline could be at this moment sadly. It could be that him abstracting could metaphorically be the "punchline", or the lack of a response from the exit might also be it, hard to say.

"NO EXIT"

This is all what I can really determine from what we have seen in this room, other than interpretations of his various framed paintings, but I'll leave that to an art major or something.

Of course we have to ask if the "Exit" that he refers to even is the same exit Pomni found. They might have found something else, or maybe that exit door is a lot more important than we know. Maybe that weird computer is important.

Pomni seemed familiar enough with it that the mere sight of it sent her laughing mad. That vr headset looking thing is probably what she put on to get there.

All of this is just observations and speculation on the future, and I can't wait for the next episode!

my advice: just do it

really! sometimes all you really need is a leap of faith, and that was exactly how I dropped into the cod fandom. When I joined the ghoap discord server I talked to one of the artist I really like and respected from my lurking time (hi @bressynonym) aaaand the rest is history

I didnt know how to draw properly, nor digitally, all I did was scribbling on OneNote (yeah!) and rambled about cod characters, it is daunting and it is scary to interact but after a while? you may just be able to find someone to brainrot together with

start small, like commenting, reblogging, talking, chatting- doesn't have to be towards artist/writers, it could be the art/fic enjoyers!

you need to put yourself out there if you want something

as to if you want to start in the fandom as a creator, here's some more tips (which are all based on my experience, I am no pro at doing this, hell Im still learning myself, and I am by no means speaking these on behalf on others!)

establish a goal: what are you making? fandom based? original creations?

as with starting new, everything may take a while for stuff to happen, you'll feel like you're speaking to the void at times (esp with original arts, but do know that your stuff do get perceive by others as time goes, I would advise to draw fandom stuff as a beginning to get that boost going if you want! or else it's going to be quite hard to get things rolling)

imo this is hardest part of any new creator, you'll have to bear with it and try not to give up (but I understand how incredibly demotivating it could get, there were times when I stopped posting about Raven entirely, but eventually I post it anyway cuz surely someone out there will like them, it just takes a lot of patiences and perseverance)

btw, engagement can also vary from time to time, you may be booming for a bit, then suddenly you dont, it is a cycle that will bound to happen

take rest regularly, and I mean a break from social media because numbers, discourse and everything can get to you, very quickly (I cannot emphasise this enough)

the numbers are not worth it over your mental health (comes with practice to really solidify this thought)

study the algorithm (pain): see what other creators are doing to get where they are, what tags are they using in their post? what features/niche do people like?(this is, if you really want to grab some form of engagement, bcuz reminder in the end you are creating art for yourself first!)

example: I think posts would get more reach if you tag it with the ship name first, followed by the characters' name (doesn't work all the time tho)

that's the thing about algorithm, it is ever-changing, and you'll have to learn to adapt with it when it does!

expanding on that, studying algorithm could be about ships (for example, ghostsoap is most popular in the fandom), or really good rendered art/flashed out fic that leaves your jaw on the floor, or ships that gets lesser attention in general which puts you, who make content about them, easier to be brought into the light (like Faralex)

bUT, it can also be personality!

(again, not saying this is meant for everyone and strictly from my own experience + what I observe) for me, I made up the lack of my art by establishing a personality: a wild panda who yaps about price and their oc and also kinda everywhere in the place (just like this post LOL), OR you're the person who named themselves after Soap's ash particle number OR you're the one who likes bottom Ghost- literally anything goes, you want to make an impression in different ways, some more funny/goofier than others but it works (be mindful and stay respectful tho, dont wanna be the asshole in the fandom now do ya?)

efforts ≠ engagement (not all the time, but most time) and this is a fact. Sometimes, you can't expect a piece you did for 10+ hours to get thousands views and likes, especially in a fandom space. You need to understand algorithm is that wonky. (very disheartening, but again, you make the art for you and the few others who genuinely likes them, and those people can go a long way) be mentally prepared for such events, and try not to beat yourself up too much for it

ultimately tho, do it, do it scared but do it anyways and again, draw the things that bring you joy, I hope these could be helpful in some ways!

Hi! I really love the way you color, and I was wondering If you could make a tutorial about it, I of course completely understand if you Can't/don't want to do it thanks in advance If you decided to do it and have a good day/night.

Hello hello! Ooooh, a color tutorial! I've never done one before so I'm not sure if I'll be any good at it haha. But I don't mind sharing my thinking process when it comes to coloring my works. So when it comes to color, I very much have a traditional painter's approach since that's how I learned color in art college. My painting professor never allowed us to use black or white paint, we could only use other colors to create darker colors or new colors altogether. And you're probably thinking, "What the hell? That's insane." And I wouldn't blame you haha. But this approach helped me a lot to not rely on tints (colors mixed with white) and shades (colors mixed with black) when I color. For the most part, I purely thinking about value and hues when I'm coloring.

Finding the right values:

So for this drawing, I did two different takes (one with direct harsh lighting and one without). The reason why I'm showing this is because when it comes to color it's very important that your values aren't clashing with each other. When I started out, all my coloring felt flat because I was using colors with the same values so there was little to no depth. A lot of people don't realize this but color does have value!

If we put the primary colors on greyscale, you notice how each color has its own value. Blue tends to be a dark value, red has a mid to dark value , and yellow is a much lighter value. This is why if you ever look at my work, the color I use for shadows lean into blue/purple tones. You can also have warm shadows since red does have a deeper value compared to yellow. But these values are when the primary colors are at the highest saturation. What would happen if we knocked down the saturation levels?

The values start to become more similar. Since we're not always using the most saturated colors, it's important to understand the values behind the colors you'll use. Once you unlock that, you can pretty much do whatever you want with color haha. That's why I hardly ever use black or white in my digital art when mixing (also I don't mix color with a brush, I just pick from the color wheel which might be insane).

While it's not wrong to use white or black to create darker/lighter colors, color in real life doesn't always act that way. Shadows and highlights can have color. For myself, letting go of white and black has opened a world of color combinations that I didn't think of before taking my first ever traditional painting class. Now, I can freely pick colors and experiment with palettes since I've blocked out what values I need (like the image below).

Even if I'm using blending modes like in the next image, I'm always thinking about making clear value separations. If I can't understand the image in black and white, then I'll have a hard time seeing it in color.

And when you get very comfortable, you can start placing characters in different color environments and match them (which essentially is the job of a color designer in TV animation).

The right image is the official color palette for my character which already uses a lot of blue/purple for the shadows. But on the left side, she's in a night-time environment so I leaned even more into the cool colors to the point that the white T-shirt is actually a very very light purple/pink color haha.

Or like this example where the left drawing gives a more sunset/golden hour lighting while the right one is more blue hour/night time lighting. But you can read the colors clearly 'cause the values are clear to begin with. While that wasn't really a tutorial this is pretty much my thought process when I'm coloring my digital works. ^^; I very much do follow an academic approach to color theory but even then I think it's okay to break the rules. As long as you have understanding of colors' value, I think you'll be able to unlock any color style you want! I hope that answered your question and was helpful!

Emmet craves violence. Akari and Rei are used to this (featuring: probably the best expressions I've ever drawn)

he's a bit older now, but still smaller than his evolved starter; Typhlosion can tell his soul is older, but he is physically small, so she abuses his lack of height to shower him in affection

an internal mess of conflicting instincts, thoughts, and emotional maturity, but Arceus's plan is set in motion, and there's nothing Emmet can do about it

Worldbuilding:

Emmet got shrunk on his way to Hisui, due to the Rift's distorted power affecting him on the way out; he lands on Prelude Beach, drowning in his Depot Agent uniform now that he is teeny tiny

Arceus, panicking a little bit, communicates more directly with Emmet, urging him along on his mission

Emmet's memories are messed up, and his conduct is an odd combination of a child and an adult. By which I mean he can be disconcertingly clever and mature, but also the poutiest little guy with a habit of crying

Young age plus being overwhelmed plus stress equals one mute boi; this does not change his penchant for causing Problems

Jubilife is a lot more lenient with him because of how young he is, but Laventon, Cyllene, and Kamado suspect that he isn't supposed to be like this due to how he was found

Emmet is in an awkward position as far as finding living conditions go, being too odd for most parents to want to take in but also much too young to live on his own

Akari and Rei are assigned babysitters. Let the stressing and development of gray hairs commence

Emmet is Perfectly Behaved and causes no Problems at all, of course, why would he? Why would he?

Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.

They also, incidentally, will not contact the cops or emergency services without your consent. Since this is Tumblr, I doubt I need to state the importance of this nonprofit (or that policy).

🌠 About me (Iris Polaris):

I am a polar bear streamer and "VTuber" who specializes in occult, art, and nature content, as well as VNs, sims, RPGs, and survival games, all to learn about you silly primates. Danganronpa is kind-of all of those genres at once. Kind-of.

In the past I've raised about ~$2500 USD across two events. I want to beat that. Just POUND it, y'all. My goal this time around is to raise $2500 USD for Trans Lifeline.

DONATE. Donate any amount to the Trans Lifeline (minimum $5 USD) here at this event's Tiltify. Leave contact info (an e-mail, Tumblr username, etc) in the comment of the donation or when choosing a reward. NOTE: You must donate thru our Tiltify so I can keep track of the total and contact you.

RECEIVE YOUR CARD. After donating, you will receive a randomized PDF bingo card like this one at your provided e-mail, Tumblr username, etc within 48 hours. Each space on the card represents a prediction I have about v3, a reaction I may have to the characters, etc.

WATCH THE BIWEEKLY-ISH YT VIDEOS. I'll be playing the game offline (i.e. not streamed) with my Manager Bunny. However, every 2-4 weeks, I'll publish a 10 minute or less YouTube video on my account until we finish the game. These videos will be compiled montages of all the spaces participants can mark off that week. These will not be long play videos!

Where can I donate? Via our Tiltify! Include contact info in the comment of your donation if you want a bingo card.

Do any donations touch your wallet? Nope. All proceeds go directly to Trans Lifeline via Tiltify. I don't get a cent of it, not even for a second.

Do I have to donate via Tiltify to participate? Yes, sorry. This is the only way I can easily keep track. However, Tiltify accepts any form of currency IIRC.

Can I get a bingo card for a friend? Yes, but you must donate twice (or more), even if it means donating $5 USD each time. I will issue you two (or more) cards, and you can give them out as you wish.

Can I donate without participating in the bingo? Totes. Just ignore all the bingo stuff if you want. But you won't get any cool prizes!

What if, on the bingo card, I see a prediction that I know is true? If, for example, Miu survives the game and you know it, don't mark the space until I get to that point in the game. This means that you do not get a bingo until I get to that point in the game. (Example: if you need the "Miu survives" space to get a bingo, it's not a bingo until I get there. I tried to balance this out by providing spaces about the way I play the game, too.)

Is this really your first time playing v3? Yes. I know like two spoilers (the killer and victim of trial 1, for example) and I understand the characters' personalities from Summer Camp, but I've never played the game.

Isn't it a little weird to play a killing game...game for Trans Lifeline? Yeah, but like, the fandom is super queer anyway so why not.

Are you trans? Sort-of. Queer/genderweird, definitely. Any pronouns are fine. I like to think of my gender as..."bear."

Okay here we go! First fanfic! I hope you enjoy! Hope you like the little sketch with it. I wanted to digital art if but I decided not to. I hope you like it anyway!

Desperate times

Living with your partner is the most vital stage of the relationship. It’s not just the good times anymore. It’s the real person that you fell in love with at home. All the time. You see things you like and don’t like. Did you and Jason have arguments that tend to end up in yelling? Yes. Was he overprotective? Yes, but it made you feel loved so you didn’t mind too much. At the end of the day he would always apologize or make up with you. At the end of the day you choose him. You love him and you knew he loved you. He was kind when it counts, he was smart, he even had hobbies. He had made you so many scarves from knitting to bundle up really well on a cold night. He just has you smitten.

After a long day of work you stopped at the store. “Pesto sauce, walnuts, oil, spaghetti noodles, we have garlic at home…” you say to yourself walking now the necessary aisle of the market. Grabbing a few items you check your phone. Smiling at your Lock Screen of you and him you see he hasn’t texted you yet. “Strange. He usually asks where I’m at. He shouldn’t be on patrol tonight.” Shoving the phone into your pocket you grab your last items, check out, and take the bus home.

The cold Gotham night breeze caused you to shiver as you climbed up the stairs to the apartment you shared. The keys jingled a little as you unlocked and opened the door. “Jay? Baby you here?” You call out into the seemingly quiet apartment. You hang your house keys on the wall, hang your scarf, and close the door locking it. No response. Setting the brown bag of dinner’s ingredients on the gray countertop you call out again. “Jason?” After no response you wonder if he was on emergency patrol. Starting to scan the apartment you look for him just to make sure. Walking down the hallway you start to hear quiet sounds of struggle getting louder. Your eyebrows knitting together in worry you slowly open the door to the bedroom. “Jason?” Your eyes settled on a heartbreaking sight.

Jason’s large form was pressed against the corner of the beige walls of the room. He was shivering, hai knees tucked up to his chest, his hands gripping his hair with his eyes closed, small sounds of struggle escaping his lips. You rush to his aid. “Jay. Jason. Baby. Hey, you’re safe. I’m here. Whatever you’re seeing and hearing, it’s not real. It’s not real okay.” You say wipe the hair that messily stuck to his sweaty forehead. “Jason. Please.” You feel your own panic set in. “I-I can’t- breathe.” He choked out. You haven’t seen him like this. You haven’t seen a PTSD episode, you've only heard about them from his brother Dick. You had to do something.

From your own years of therapy you had learned a few things. Who didn’t need therapy at one point or another in Gotham. Running to the bedside night stand, opening the drawer, you pulled out a stress ball. You nearly trip running back to Jason. Sitting on your knees in front of Jason, you gently remove his hand from his hair and put the ball in his shaky hand. “What color is the ball?” You ask him softly. “W-what?” He croaked confused. “What color is the ball in your hand Jason?” You repeat. Opening his eyes he takes a few seconds to focus on it through his blurred watery vision. “Blue.” He choked out a short answer. That good, you were able to break his focus from whatever he was struggling with. “How does it feel? In your hand? Is it rough? Is it soft?” Taking a deep shaky breath his thumb rubbed over the stress balls surface. “I-it feels soft but- rough with cracks from use.” His breathing mess became more stable. Almost there. “How does it feel to squeeze it? Is it easy? Is it hard?” His shaking hand squeezes it once and then a few more times watching it collapse and reform to its original shape as if nothing happened to it. “It’s easy to squeeze.” You nodded your head, your voice coming out in a softer comforting tone. “It feels real too doesn’t it. It’s here safe with me here in this room. Just like you.” Taking a deep breath he looks up at you with his Heterochromia blue and green eyes. You smile caressing his tear stained cheek with your thumb softly as he leaned into your touch.

A moment later putting the ball down he snaked his strong arm around your waist and pulled you in his sweaty forehead resting in the middle of your soft chest. “Thank you y/n.” His voice is a little horse but soft. His body still shook a little but he ultimately had come down from the high of the PTSD attack. “I won’t let anyone hurt you. I won’t let the monsters that bring You pain and suffering hurt you. When they come back to haunt you. I will be here to fight them off. Every. Time.” You cooed, Jason looked up at you with his arms still around you. “You’re n’ angel.” He whispered to you. “I’m sorry you had to deal with that.” His comment made your heart break. “No, don’t You dare apologize. You've been through and seen so much. We don’t get to decide when PTSD attacks or what the triggers are and when they happen. It doesn’t make you weak Jason.” You encouraged him. It was clear in his eyes that he didn’t believe you. Not right now at least. You’ll get there. You’ll work with him on it no matter how long it takes. Cupping his cheek and leaning down you plant a soft kiss on his lips. “You hungry?” Jason nodded. “Wanna shower first?” He sighed and closed his eyes “Yea.”

After a nice warm shared shower you both get in cozy pjs and you start dinner. You both love to cook. It was one of the things you bonded over. “You’re on chopping duty.” You say giving him cherry tomatoes, walnuts and so basil. On the other hand, You started the noodles and pesto sauce. Mixing in the olive oil, garlic, and pesto into the saucepan. A few moments later Jason comes behind you trapping you between him and the stove. He carefully added the chopped ingredients. His body was close to yours. A comforting thing he’s learned he likes. He takes the wood spoon from your hand and stirs the sauce. Putting the spoon down he wraps his arms around you and puts his chin on your shoulder. Smiling, you pat his head to which he hummed in response. Dinner was rewarding and enjoyable. To you there still seems to be an awkwardness from him so you didn’t want to push him to talk about it further unless he wanted to. In reality he was thinking to himself how much of a light you are to his dark world. The color that brings it. It's warm. The kindness he so deeply wanted. The love he desired. He’s great full for it. “I love you.” He said quietly, taking your hand as you both ate. Smiling, you give his hand a squeeze. “I love you Jason.”

So I’ve been obsessing over Epic the musical. It makes me wish so much that I had any skill in the animation department because while I love seeing all of the animatics come out, I have such specific images in my head that I want to share.

So since I have no time to learn digital art/animation rn (I say like it’s easy🙄) I’ll just share some stuff here and hope I can describe it properly. So now, please excuse my rambling:

The main thing I’ve been thinking about is the Gods creating little illusion of humans when they’re trying to make a point.

Like in God Games when Athena goes “please reconsider this” I know she’s brought Aphrodite into her quick thought, but I always see her creating a little illusion of Penelope and Telemachus waiting for their family to be whole again. Penelope keeping her strength while dying inside and Telemachus fumbling through keeping her safe from the suitors and taking on tasks that he’s too young and inexperienced to handle. She makes the little illusion of them and drifts them towards Aphrodite, trying to appeal to her sense of love and family. Showing her another mother/wife who is suffering and the child who needs and longs for the guidance of his father. Aphrodites expression softens the slightest bit, wavering at the sight, and that’s when Ares comes in, destroying Athena’s illusion and pulling her into his quick thought.

Another one I have now is in Get in the Water.

“I’ll raise the tides so high, all of Ithaca will die”

I want Poseidon to manipulate the water into a version of Ithaca and force Odysseus to watch is be destroyed. Put him in it, his people drowning around him screaming for him to help just like his crew did.

“I’ll make tidal waves so profound, both your son and your wife will drown”

And it’s Penelope holding baby Telemachus before they’re washed away in a violent wave

“I’ll take your son and gouge his eyes”

It’s Poseidon holding a water construct of Telemachus by the throat and ripping his eyes out. Odysseus’s expression flashes from amazement/longing at the first look of what his son looks like after all these years to horror as Poseidon shows him exactly what he’ll do to his child.

There’s just so much potential to expand on the visual torture Odysseus endures in this. Make him scared to live through all of the horror he’s seeing twice. Make him live in fear that any illusion he experiences is prophesy from the gods just like the one he experienced in The Horse and the Infant when Zeus showed what would happen if he let Astynax live.

I also imagine in Love in Paradise, before Odyssey goes “I don’t belong here, there’s something wrong here. I won’t be drawn to love in paradise,” things get hazy for him. The island and landscape shifts into the most beautiful, ideal paradise (haha) he could ever imaging. His eyes go a little cloudy, he becomes a little drowsy, more complacent as her spell tries to sink in. He has to shake out of it fight to keep his head. I imagine Calypso uses spells like this throughout their time together.

On a lighter note (maybe), Legendary/Little wolf ends/starts with Antinous seated and smug. His smirk falls when Telemachus turns away from him, hoping for a sign. Other suitors shove Telemachus to get his attention again and he stumble, turning back to them, nervous that they’ll all attack him at once. They shove a weapon in his hands. The fight starts with swords and Telemachus once again gets his ass beat. His sword is knocked from his hands. Antinous pulls back to deliver a final (possibly deadly) blow, and that’s when Athena steps in. He pushes back some of the suitors, repositions Telemachus’s stance, enhances his vision and reflexes, and pushes him forward. He uppercuts, Antinous drops his weapon. Telemachus does much better in a fist fight with Athena’s help than with the sword, which he’s never been all that confident with. I see a lot of quick evasion and intention jabs on his part, causing more damage than anyone thought he would. But yes, it does end with the Antinous KO punch and Telemachus retreating, but I like the transition for weapons to fist fight. The fight choreo goes so hard in my head lol

Anyway, these are just a few thoughts. I’ll probably come back with more later, but thanks for letting me share🫶

When being some guy's #1 fan isn't enough so you have to become his rival. Many such cases.

But seriously, I've thought more about this and now I know how I want this au to go down. (Strap in, I won first place in the yap-olympics)

It mostly consists of one sided rivals to lovers (my favorite) and happens a bit before the S2 finale and the year between that and the movie. And if wasn't obvious from my other post, it involves street racing (something I know nothing about why'd I choose street racing ugh—)

And I said they meet because of Usagi saving Leo from some baddies on my last post, that still happens here, it's the first time they meet face to face (or face to Helmut) probably some of Big Mama goons Leo couldn't really fight off because weapons aren't allowed at the races so he and Usagi get to have a romantic bike chase where they try not to crash and die.

Leo deciding if you can't be their boyfriend beat them, be their rival. He trains until he can race Usagi himself. Who is actually happy to have a rival, the weirdo lol. (Bottom right)

I haven't named this AU, so I'll be taking suggestions if you have any (pls give me ideas I don't have any)

After the read more is just an update(?) about my art and posts for people who follow me.

For some reason I've seem to become allergic to digital art, so other than some comics I already planned on posting, this might be my last digital art post for a while. I can draw on paper no problem, I guess drawing on my phone has gotten tiring and my brain hates it for now. We're going traditional baby!

Which is fine because my traditional art is better imo, digital is just easier to color and I'm bad at taking pictures. Like really bad. But I still wanna post art so it'll have to do.

Luckily I was able to finish this but this will be the only nonconic digital art for a while. Had to switch it up though cause I was really struggling the first 30 mins so it's more colorful than my usual art.

A love letter to Murder Drones

Btw this is just a rambling about how I got into Murder Drones and how it has changed my view of the world, so if you don’t care then don’t read :3

(Also it’s gonna be lengthy and maybe a bit of trauma dump)

I also don’t expect @liamvickersanimation or @glitchproductions to use tumblr, and if they see this I will jump off a cliff lol

So, it started one day when I got the Murder Drones pilot in my recommended on YouTube. Buut I scrolled right passed it cause I didn’t really care about it then. A few nights later, round midnight, I saw the pilot again and caved. I then went to the playlist and watched the first 6 episodes. (This was a month after ep 6 came out)

I did fall in love w/ the style of the show, but I did not understand the plot.

so I watched the show again and again, and even watched theory vids on it. And when I tell you I bawled by eyes out when I watched the show again, got connected to the characters, I bawled by fuckin eyes out when V sacrificed herself.

While watching theories of MD, something clicked in my head and I decided that I wanted to do my own show as well.

but, I suck at creativity and can’t make up new things, just edit already made things. So I decided, if I can’t make my own stories, I would help other people make their stories.

in other words, I wanted to be an animator

after I got my mind in on the fact I wanted to be an animator, I had downloaded many, and I mean many animation apps on my drawing iPad, and tried to 2D animate.

now, I would call myself a shitty artist. I don’t know anatomy and I barely use references too.

so when 2D animation did not work for me, I almost gave up my dream to become an animator, and plus.. I didn’t even know where I wanted to work.

I didn’t want to work for Disney cause I don’t really like their stuff anymore, and dream works kinda fell off too (no offense to any fans of those people, I will respect your opinions)

So I gave up on my dream, and I checked glitch prod. for any new info for MD ep. 7. But, instead of anything Murder Drones a new show was on called The Amazing Digital Circus.

now, I absolutely did not care about some new show, I only wanted Murder drones. Then I caved again and watched TDAC. and I fell in love w/ it as well.

and TDAC brought by dream back up to become an animator. I decided that I wouldn’t work for DreamWorks or Disney,

I would work for Glitch Productions.

now, I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to work for them, but it would be an honor.

then ep. 7 dropped for MD, and I fell in love again with this episode. Especially Flesha. Her movements, her emotions, her flicker design! It was all just perfect!

So I started to look online for ways to become an animator, but not a 2D one.

My mom helped me find a program called Blender.

and yes, I still use Blender to this day

I then started to take lessons from YouTube vids online and once I got the hang of it, I started to look for models that I could pose.

now, I can’t animate good rn cause I have a very shitty laptop that can barely run one model at a time, but I’m still learning.

and then the finale for Murder drones finally comes out. And omfg I have no words

it’s peak perfection

again the characters felt so ALIVE! And FREE!

and it’s what I wanted to do! It’s still is! I want to animate characters that people love and make art or fanfics about.

so.. that’s the point of this “Love letter”

I just wanted to say.. Thank you Liam and Glitch for this amazing show that I and millions of people could be apart of. And I hope I’m able to meet you in person and maybe even work under you one day.
