I'm trying to figure out a nice way to explain a pet peeve in fndm. I am not skilled enough at nice.

Most mammals with pointy ears have two axis of rotation. Ears go up and down; ears rotate forward and backward roughly 180°. Dogs, for instance.

Cats, rather uniquely, have three axis of movement. The first two standard ranges, and the ability to rotate the two sides of each ear in opposition to itself.

That's a fancy way to say that cats can voluntarily fold their ears in half, so that the outer section tucks in, as the ear rotates backward, and the cartilage shell folds completely over the vulnerable ear canal. The ear can press completely flat against the neck and head, protecting it from damage during fights (or swimming, in case of aquatic hunters).

While many kids cartoons routinely show animal ears moving in unnatural ways, rwby's been pretty consistently naturalistic. So if a faunus character with ears demonstrates the ability to voluntarily fold and unfold their ears, it's a cat.

people need to realize that what’s going on with palestine and israel isn’t about anyone being jewish.

there are jewish palestinians, muslim palestinians, christian palestinians being trapped in what is essentially an open air prison for children and the elderly with no food, water, or electricity just because they’re palestinian.

this is about colonization, and unfortunately so many people are falling for the blatant propaganda being turned out by an apartheid government (israel).

the only solution to stop all this violence is to give palestine their land back. that is the solution.
