Instead of kneeling in prayer, NFL teams should surround and salute their medical staff.

For those unaware, last week a player's heart stopped on the field at the end of a play. It took the medical staff time to work on him and get Damar's heart pumping again. He was in a coma for a few days, but now awake and healing. The NFL (or maybe more accurately the players in that game) cancelled the rest of the game.

Today all the players before every game gathered together on the field and knelt and prayed. I'd like to think that if I was a player, I'd have the courage to stand and salute the medical staff. It's really where the respect is due. Besides, not taking a knee is a good thing...right?
