#tlt#my art#these were unfinished which i thought was a shame so i sort slapped some colors nd background stuff on them and now here they are.#top one soooo old but i still liked it and didnt want to condemn it to a fate of sitting in my wip folder forever and ever#bottom ones are more recent; they were scattered throughout the margins of a bunch of different wips and i grouped them together#in this one canvas so i could post them cause i like em. im charmed by soup bowl harrow w/ her normal pajamas. she would probably#not wear that.#ive been thinking abt harrianthe a lot lately i want to post about them more but i can't finish anything lately#not cause im artblocked or anything i'm fine in that respect i just have no free time 💀

#fop#just doodles#delia dimmadome#peri fairywinkle cosma#fairly oddparents a new wish#dev dimmadome#the actual photo is microscopic literally working with pixels . so i screenshotted the canvas instead and its much clearer</3#ermm they make me sick haha . peri's similar to dale in a few ways and delia notices it more than anything else. she hates it#learning a new program gulppp i think the colors still turned out nice its just that most of my layers are clipping masks and in ibis it wa#soooo easy but krita works differently so its like . idk. mostly used the select tool for it but maybe if i can have a million folders in#another folder....... i could do my normal coloring of . base + ten million clip layers and all of that in a folder that's clipped over#the base coloring#also peri hides all his bug stuff like his life depends on it but the tail balances the silhouette so nicely especially with his. weird leg

Sorry at the person who recently just asked if I had a larger version of an image (i couldn't find it 😵) but in my search I found a file full of other old doodles i forgot all about in the process. if you don't mind my sharing.

#a doodley#trying some stuff againnn after yesterdays revelation#all my drawings are nicely organized by date and year and such but even then#i wish there was a way to look thru all of em quickly ykwim#ive started making a folder of all my favorite old art like how i have folders for several other artists or topics for insp#but i feel thats also jst going to lead to too many drawings to properly Really Look Through if that makes sense? and also some will slip#thru the cracks so ill want to go look the the original folders anyway#i cant even say ''wish all my old art was in one pdf'' or something bc that'd still require scrolling to get to it LOL#like now that i do everything on the one big canvas drawings are easier to find but harder to scroll thru to do so too#i jst wanna be able to think abt it and then the files all hover in front of my eyes or smthng#(im not actually complaining btw just rambling)

the more im able to let go of the idea of a perfect step by step art process the more i realize how unhinged *my* process actually is in a perfect world it would be thumbnail>rough sketch> clean sketch> lineart> shadows> lighting> final effects but its actually 20 thumbnails> sketch 3> hate all 3> new thumbnail i drew as a joke> "wait he kinda slays" >rough sketch> separate foreground and bg layers> fuck the middleground and background are the same layer(doesnt fix it)> add three rulers> 17 more layers of resketching, they are all different colors> thumbnail color time :) (is doing this on the actual sketch instead of a thumbnail sheet)> 19 layers of rough colors > hasnt even finished the rough sketch btw so color placement may not be accurate> move everything to a new canvas bc there are too many fucking folders> wait dont i also need to do a 2nd piece aw hell and im like. 4-5 hours in i think

✏️. Do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax? It really deepends ! I normally much prefer digital art, but there are times where i just get burn out from digital, so having some paper and pencils around is always a must
🖍️. When did you start drawing? Do you remember? Since i can remember myself as a living organism i have been drawing, either by slapping around some paint with my bare hands or scribbling what i can only assume were suppose to be animals from Earth However the oldest records of me drawing digitally are from 2013, as that's when i started posting online !
📏. What’s your go-to canvas size? Well my current canvas is 4000 x 3000 The way i do it is that i have 1 big canvas where i draw everything, and afterwards i just cut it out and save separately Which also means that my canvas currently looks like this
#saturn speaks#askmeme#i currently have 5 folders in this canvas#and about 556 layers have been created during that time (though obviously there aren't currently 556 layers in here)#yes there used to be more folders#yes this isn't my first canvas i do this with#the only reason i stopped using my old canvas is because it was so old it started to lag my entire computer#yes i do live like this and i enjoy it
