Hey, love your blog! Something doesn't sit right with me about Aang's attachment problem. Didn't he let go of Katara? We see him give her up and then gets shot by Azula. But he still opened it. If that's the case, why is Aang still attached to her? And why is he braver about it? (Asking her for a dance and kissing her twice, not that kissing her was a good thing). Did overcoming his attachment meant he saw her as more (romantically) approachable? But it's weird for him to overcome an attachment while in the next episodes he's more in love than ever. What do you think?
Yeah, the thing is, getting rid of his attachment should make him romantically braver and should ultimately make him closer to Katara. Because the problem with Aang's attachment was that it was an insecure attachment. Which is what made him act in ways that reflected that insecurity, like being anxious that Katara would not reciprocate his feelings. This actually hindered his relationship with Katara in book one and two because it prevented him from being honest about his feelings with Katara for fear that she might reject him. (Remember the whole "I'd rather kiss you than die" debacle?) This insecurity about losing her is also why he imagined her in peril when the guru asked him to let his attachment go.
And no way, no way is Aang going to get over that insecure attachment in a moment when Katara is in dire danger, in the heat of battle, when he couldn't do it before when he was with the guru and we're explicitly shown that the thought of Katara in danger is what is keeping Aang tethered to that insecure attachment. It's just not possible. I don't believe it.
What would have happened if Azula's lightning had not neutralized that conflict by making it irrelevant, is that realistically, after failing to save Katara and Ba Sing Se, Aang should be more insecurely attached to Katara than ever. And that is what happens. He acts more on his feelings but in ways that show that he's more afraid than ever that Katara will not reciprocate, and that then translates to entitlement towards her and anger at her in Ember Island Players for not reciprocating his affection.
So not only does it not make narrative sense for Aang to be able to open his chakra when he did, the narrative carries on as if he didn't and the excuse they use for why Aang can't is "because Azula shot him with lightning." The plotline about Aang forming a more secure attachment to Katara is completely dropped in favor of putting the onus on Katara to reciprocate Aang's feelings.
That's a large part of why book three feels like a mess. It actually would have been a compelling narrative if Aang HAD learned to be more secure in his attachment to Katara. Which should not mean he doesn't love her, it means he's secure enough to accept it if she says no. Which actually would make him braver romantically because he would not be afraid of rejection. So much of Katara and Aang's narrative feels like nice guy bullshit because the narrative blames Katara for not automatically returning Aang's love instead of having Aang pluck up the courage to actually ask her out. The reason so called "nice guys" always think that girls love jerks instead of them is that they don't realize that you actually have to ask a girl out to get her to be your girlfriend, instead of waiting for her to just fall into your lap because you're too terrified she will say no. And by the time Aang does make his intentions clear to Katara, it's "why aren't we together?" instead of actually asking her how she feels and what she wants.
And I've theorized that it actually was the original intention to have Aang go through a period of being more insecure in his relationship with Katara than ever before learning to be more secure in his relationship and thus unlocking the Avatar State, also rounding out the parallels between Aang and Zuko in book three, which also feel like missed opportunities that are never really followed through, most likely because the writers were either unwilling or unable to take the same risks with Aang's narrative as they did with Zuko's.

。ₓ ू ₒ DENY, THEN EMBRACE — RIN ITOSHI
Tumblr media
he'll deny these feelings, those anonymous gifts, and the need to hug you.
a rin itoshi oneshot! rin itoshi x fem! reader
iya's notes ; my first work on my new blog! i made it extra fluffy for everyone ><
Tumblr media
rin itoshi thinks he is a master of it, the art of denial. he denies most things, and in very different aspects too.. like being asked to hang out, his answers would be a stern "no thanks.", he denies the anger he feels whenever isagi yoichi, his rival, steals a soccer goal away from him. but the biggest denial of his life, is in love.
and is in you, the denial of his own feelings. rin itoshi isn't so accustomed to having such musty feelings, as he referred to them as such. but, to be honest, rin doesn't mind feeling it in the comfort of his own mind, where his imagination and love roam free.
he's not allowed to fall in love yet, when he has a huge dream and a path to take in front of him. it's a distraction. from the soccer career he is putting his life on, something that he has excelled in all his life, second only to his brother, sae. maybe one day, those feelings will eventually fade.
rin itoshi is not a believer in romances, after all. he trusts that maybe in a week, such feelings will go away. maybe.. in two weeks? a month? two months? he doesn't know, it's been how long since he wished his longing to be by your side would just go away, to not let it plague his mind. as good as the feelings he gets from it, it makes him weak, he thinks.
vulnerability isn't so much what rin itoshi aspires to be, and yet in the presence of you.. he feels every bit of the word vulnerable. it makes him weak in the knees, making him feel shivers from head to toe. “it's just a crush, this is how it normally feels like.” he reminds himself, he's had a few crushes before, how does this make it any different.
“rin!” your voice calls out, and his soul gets turned into a messy puddle. he tries his best to keep calm, fixing his coat and hair subconsciously before coughing, clearing his throat. why? it's his subconscious speaking, the player thinks. “hello.” and as you walk towards him with a grin, he could only muster a weak (and honestly shy) smile back.
rin itoshi doesn't even smile most of the time. but i think any smile that came from him, an always upset and reclusive man would be a huge advancement towards a more neutral, at least personality.
he held a small conversation with you about nothing in particular, until you mentioned something about wanting to buy plushies and figurines. explaining how cute they are and that you're starting a collection of such items, showing him a picture of a lamb holding what seemed to be a tulip. “is this.. what you want?” he asks, no emotions shown on his face and yet inside the cogs of his head were working.
itoshi rin went home that day, seemingly happy to see you once in a while. sitting on his clean desk, he thinks deeply. reminiscing the quite short conversation you two had earlier that day. a much more visible grin on his face, he was after all in the comfort of his own bedroom so he felt free to express little bits of happiness and what people called butterflies in their stomach.
he grabbed his phone, typing in “lamb with tulip” before stopping, staring at the wall in front of him with a look that could only be embarrassment. what am i thinking.. buying them this can't buy their love. he shakes his head at the thought, being a firm believer that not even money can buy affection and love, especially yours. rin took another look at the plushie, before imagining you holding on to it tightly with a very pleased expression.
he smiled to himself again, like an exercise to his face's muscles that he hadn't quite had in a long while. rin pressed the buy now button, before putting his phone down a few minutes later. they don't have to know that it's from me.. all they need to know that it came from someone who adores them, even if i am not allowed to. he thinks to himself, burying his face into his hands while thinking about his feelings.
i will like them, as long as my heart wants to. rin itoshi nods to himself, maybe.. he has the hold over his feelings for you by now. standing up to go to the mirror, he looks at himself, the faint blush on his face as he sighs out loud. “i don't think my heart will ever stop liking them.”
a few days later, rin sneaks to your apartment, and stuffs something into the mail carefully. his disguise was shades, a baseball cap and a black facemask. making sure to look around before placing it inside, he smiles then walks away. rin waited in anticipation for your reaction, perhaps a message? no, there was no indication that it was from him anyways, no letter, not even a measly sticky note.
opening his instagram, he sees a post. and instinctively, rin grins. you look perfect. he thought, staring at the selfie you took with the plushie, holding it in different poses. the caption of your post read:
@username: whoever gave me this will get a hug and a lot of thanks, tysm anon <3
rin blinks, is that true? he thinks, tapping his finger nervously on his wooden desk. “maybe it's a joke, she wouldn't. and besides, she doesn't know..” he gulps down, sighing. but the thought of other people who may admire you, taking credit for buying you that gift take his chance away from receiving a hug makes him frown, a huge scowl accompanied with thoughts of multiple people taking credit. his brows furrow and he slumps on his bed.
rolling over and over, wondering if he should text you. “but how..” he blinks up at the ceiling, this is stupid he thinks. i look like a middle school student with a stupid crush.. and quite frankly, it's true. rin can't help but feel young and dumb, in the face of what might possibly be his first love. what happened to just denying it all?
he thinks it's too late to deny it, he's enamored.
not my fault.. i can't help but like you, who wouldn't? i'm not going to deny it.. not when i want to give my all for her.. this is the only other thing i want other than soccer, my other wish, is them, and what seems to be an impossible.. romance? with her. i can't believe myself, using terms like that. it's icky.
he shivered, rin seemed like one of those characters of romance movies that he despised. but how long would it take if he still denied the feelings he held for you? how long would his wait of “it'll go away soon, they're just a crush anyways.” go on? rin thinks he's already too deep in, maybe, just maybe this is the type of love that he imagined to be disgusting. if so, why is it making him feel like a new person, a much better, and a less selfish person.
and as he types into his phone, his hands shake with nervousness. this was one of the stepping stones he had to overcome, to get a little closer to you.
@ rinitoshi : when's the meetup? i need to have that hug y/n

Random Thoughts about The Rebound Ep 5 and 6 :
Let's give credit where its due, The Rebound remains a compelling story and these two new episodes haven't changed my view on the series. It's truly an interesting sport series. Even if you're not a fan of basketball or a fan of the main actors. I'm neither of those and I still find a real pleasure watching it. I would even say, it shouldn't deter you from giving it a chance.
▪️ So Ryu and Zen were back to square one in their relationship and they couldn't stand each other anymore in these episodes. Their disagreement was starting to be an obstacle for the team as they were constantly fighting on the court. Their coach figured out a way for them to make peace. He forced them to be tied to each other for 24 hours. When you can't escape the other one, you're forced to deal with it. It was easy to see they both missed each other, but what happened in the past is still remaining a sore point between them. Of course, Zen is still sad and lost about the disappearance of Ryu in the past, but we kind of get pretty fast that it's not the only thing which hurt him. From the beginning of the 5th episode, we had a flashback of Ryu and Zen when they were in middle-school. They were both showering and helping rubbing soap to each other. Then, they got this moment… There are a lot of interrupted moments between them. Zen was fully expecting Ryu to kiss him and he was eager to do it… but then Ryu freeze and decided not to do it. I believe Zen was clearly hurt by this too. Even if he can't really say it out loud, he has these very strong feelings for Ryu and he finds himself constantly disappointed by him. While being force to stay together all the time, Ryu and Zee's anger quietly dissolved to make they find their strong bond again.
▪️ The state of the team is totally linked to whatever Ryu and Zee are feeling when they are playing with the rest of the team players. When they are both in their right mind and happy with each other, the team is able to success in anything they want to do. Otherwise, when they are at odds or something is bothering them, the team isn't able to work well together. I'm not saying the rest of the players are just here to make contrast, but most of them remains solely background character. Only few of them seems to be important to the story: Jed who is mostly the comic relief, Prince who has a special bond with Jed (but it remains to be really seen), Shogun who is the basketball prodigy and Jedi as Ryu's friend. Lin is totally the token girl of the series who will be used to create some tension between the main couple as she has a crush on Ryu. Thankfully the story seems to have provided her with an alternative choice when she will see that she has no chance of being with her crush.
▪️ Last week, I thought it was Ryu who was hurt because he couldn't get Zen to see his feelings for him. I felt he was the one who was showing more his love. I think it was because both Q and Atom questioned him about it. It made me think it was him who was, at the moment, more in love or more aware of his feeling. However, now that I watched episode 5 and 6, it seems to me that it's the opposite. Zen is the one who has already accepted his romantic feelings for his friend, while Ryu isn't really sure about it. I mean, he likes/loves Zen. It was shown countless times, but at the same time, he doesn't really want to talk about it or to make others know about it. By the end of episode 5, we get a kiss between them. It was full of lingering feelings for something they wanted to experience before, but didn't get to. The way Ryu was slowly moving his face towards Zen to kiss him sweetly. He was also stroking Zen's hand. It felt to me like he was finally experiencing something he deeply wanted to do, for a long time. Ryu didn't have any hesitation and gladly consented to this kiss because it is also something he desires. The moment is truly precious for them and it is reinforced by the melody of the soundtrack. However, when Ryu heard the sound of the dropped bottle, he quickly opened his eyes and you could see how scared he was and he turned over fast. It left Zen alone who was still looking at him, as if he was still processing everything. Ryu was flustered and he was looking at the ceiling, while Zen was still looking at him, hurt again. I get deeply emotional thinking about this scene.
▪️ Let's talk about Atom now. I have to make amends. I was so hard on him last time after I described my thoughts about episode 3 and 4. I felt like we couldn't trust him and he would hurt Zen… Turns out, he is better than I thought he would be. I think he really wants to make a friend. Since he never really seems to have a real friend in his life, the first person who was nice to him, he got too attached. The way he wants to be close to Zen is so wrong, but at the same time, I believe he just doesn't know how to do it. That's why it gets across as clingy and a bit controlling. I'm not saying he is right. I'm just feeling like he needs to understand boundaries and how to create a healthy friendly relationship with someone. There is also the fact, that he doesn't just want to be friend with Zen, but he also has a tiny crush on him too. Atom has grown in a family that expects him to devote his time to sport. His father seems to be really authoritarian and Atom can't really do what he wants. It seems he made really a lot of effort to be available when he met Zen. I felt bad for him. It is not easy to grow up in a family where you have to constantly prove your worth and when they expect you to stand out. Now we know he is also a basketball player in a rival team. I'm glad he remains true to sport values and didn't befriend Zen because of this. Of course, he becomes the perfect love rival for Ryu and he seems determined to be close to Zen. I wonder what it will bring. Now that he is again in my good book, I feel like I'm back with the same dilemma I had while watching Deep Night where I couldn't decide if Seiji had to be with Pan or Ken.
▪️ I also felt really bad for Q. It seems to me that he is stuck in this life without any way of escaping it. Yes, his relationship with Boss Tos is hot, but at the same time it’s kinda pitiful. There is nothing sexy or healthy in their relationship. Q doesn’t seem to have any feelings for him and he only has sexual intercourse with him to protect Ryu. However, it’s not exactly working well and he is back into threatening Ryu to work for them and to play street basketball. Q is always dragging Ryu back to the trappings of his past. At the same time, we can’t deny the protectiveness Q has for him. I really think he has his best interest at heart, but unfortunately Q is not a big shot in the “streets”. He is just a small fry.
I really want to see what is going to happen in the next episodes.

I still wonder how Eden came to learn about PC. Did they really just go to Bailey and select them from some photos because they think PC is hot? In my personal opinion, and I mean no offense to anyone, that sounds kind of boring and a bit shallow. And with the severity of Eden’s obsession, I feel like there has to be a bit more to it (but it’s likely there isn’t). Otherwise, why doesn’t Eden just select another attractive orphan if PC keeps defying them? Like how Avery moves on if PC angers them enough. I imagine PC might’ve helped Eden once in town, and Eden grew attached. Or maybe it’s because PC has enough guts to wander deeper into the forest than most, so Eden thought they might not mind living with them? OR maybe Eden saw PC spending time with Robin in the forest one day, saw how caring PC is for Robin (not necessarily in a romantic but maybe a sibling-like sense), and thought to themself “I want that sort of affection and care,” thus decided to buy PC, hoping to replicate PC’s affection towards Robin for themself. But it’s likely Eden didn’t know how. Hence, the chaining and caging. Vrel did say Eden loves PC in their own twisted way… I like to head-cannon the last scenario as true because it makes more sense to me, and I believe Robin and PC did have an off-screen friendship before the game starts, so it could be a possible off-screen scenario. But I guess it also depends on how the player plays PC because some players don’t care about Robin at all. What do you think? Maybe Eden’s selection really was totally random, or did Bailey randomly choose PC for Eden? I think Eden knew about PC before first meeting them because, if PC is sold to Eden without meeting them in the forest first, Eden says something along the lines of “I usually prefer to chase my prey, but this works too.” But that’s all.
According to the blogspot, Eden went to Bailey and told them what they wanted. Bailey came back with some pictures and Eden chose PC.
Vrel said its not impossible that Eden came across PC when they were young, but personally I don't find it interesting at all.
The whole Eden going to Bailey part is interesting cause its another piece of their weird friendship. Like, how do you think Bailey reacted when their friend of who knows how many years, who has never had a partner before or shown interest in others, comes and asks for a spouse?
Did they recognise that something had shifted in their friend? Did they worry about it? Or was it just the money symbols flashing in their eyes?

I think MGSV really robbed us of a Kazuhira and Quiet properly written relationship and really took away a proper characterization of the two, especially Kazuhira as he has already had a good characterization that they took away. In Quiet 's scenario they literally just need to write better female characters, it's so awful.
Tumblr media
While friendship definitely didn't have to be how their relationship went, I think some sort of mutual bitter respect between them would have fit, but instead we get a very disturbing take on them with Kazuhira calling Quiet like awful things, talking about killing her, and blaming her for getting attacked.
Quiet is seemingly respectful of Kazuhira and doesn't seem to hold a grudge against him, and Kazuhira is shown to accept people's wrongdoings and still show a respectful professionalism around them in the past. Kaz kinda hates Ocelot and Big Boss (venom snake but kaz thinks it's big boss) in MGSV but still respects them and treats them like a proper coworker.
We can also see this with Paz a little bit, pre MGSV.
Big Boss quite literally kidnaps him and talks about doing horrific things to him if he doesn't join, months later he's in love with him as a legend and then in MGSV a character that minorly inconvenienced him is suddenly his mortal enemy, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Not to mention Ocelot and BB were both part of Zero, worked with and for him, but we never truly see Kaz get angry with them for this.
Kazuhira understands throughout the games the manipulative pull Zero has on people, but when it comes to morally wrong female characters they aren't written.. good. In turn, they write the male characters that attack them bad as well. Taking Kazuhira and making him someone who's just angry all the time and so easy to hate for newer players was awful to me. I loved him in Peace Walker, traitor and all. However, I see new players blindly playing MGSV as their first game and DESPISING Kazuhira because they haven't seen him in his proper characterization, haven't seen him outside his dehumanization of Paz and Quiet and his overall anger.
AS WELL AS HOW HE TREATED PAZ, it was so weird to me. Obviously he's angry but even before they found out Motherbase was destroyed Kazuhira rants and rages and calls her a bitch and other like shitty things and it was so weird to me. Because in Peace Walker, he literally admits he's in the wrong for even letting Paz on the base in the first place, post her betraying them horrendously, Kaz still speaks with some fallen foe respect towards her
But then when it comes to Quiet, Kaz participates in the dehumanization and ridicule of her while also ostracizing her from everyone else. Strangely enough the only characters we see really hate Quiet are background Diamond Dogs soldiers, they don't build any reason to hate her for the player which just makes Kaz look crazy. From a non meta point, to not have Kaz have at least some decency towards Quiet when nobody else really has a problem with her except the soldiers was weird.
It felt like his deep rooted hatred with Cipher was just squeezed into a character, because the lack of proper expanding on Quiet really felt even more uncomfortable when all we got was ass shots and dehumanization especially.
I think MGSV could've been a good game if it didn't try and take itself so serious. The seriousness of battle overshadows the time spent with Quiet and with Kazuhira and literally every other character that could've been properly expanded on.
I love MGSV, I love Metal Gear in general. However, it fails it's characterization so much, more especially in modern games like Revengance and Phantom Pain. They are good games, but when all the women are written as rage bait without any proper reason to hate them at all, it sucks. When characters in general regardless of gender are destroyed of their former written self, it sucks. I could go into this with so many other characters but I couldn't stop thinking of Kaz and Quiet and how they come directly from the lack of proper female writing as well as the lazy writing that really spoils MGSV for a lot of people.

More DCAS rewrite ideas
With the Jake and Fiore team-up, I mentioned them bonding about their relationships with their parents and thought about Fiore telling Jake about how she was sent to a convent against her will not too long after returning home (rewatched the past episodes to see that Emily didn't interview Fiore so Fiore never brought it up). After telling Jake this, Fiore would tell him that her desire for the money would be to help her get a better life and be able to possibly emancipate herself from her parents. Jake would feel sympathy for her and would ask her where she planned to go if she succeeded. Despite having shown to plan things in the long run, Fiore pauses before revealing to Jake that she actually doesn't know. This is where I feel like Jake would have a new look on Fiore. No matter how Fiore acted on their season, at the end of the day Fiore is just a child who was just doing everything she could to win in order to improve her life just like the rest of them.
Once Jake and Fiore have their bonding session, I mentioned previously that Jake would stand up for Fiore and was thinking that due to this, Ashley and Jake's relationship would change because of this. Got inspired by the anon who thought of a rewrite where Ally and Jake become close and Ashley feeling like a third wheel and I could see this happening here. With Jake defending Fiore, Ally would back Jake up because she knows what Fiore was capable of since she's watched season one but she is still a child. I could see Ally feeling a little grateful that someone else on their team can see that considering both Hunter and Ashely made it pretty clear with how they feel about Fiore. This could be where Ally and Jake begin their friendship that continues to grow as time goes on (specifically in 6 when they open up to each other on their love interests). Jake and Ashley would still have their friendship like in the show but his team up with Fiore and now his budding friendship with Ally will make Ashley feel a bit like an outsider and wondering how this happened.
Going back to the Jake and Fiore team-up, I'd like to think that Fiore would actually let Jake know about the villain's alliance. Fiore would tell Jake as a show of trust and Jake would keep quiet about it. Whenever the villains would meet up, Fiore would report back to Jake and in return Jake would protect Fiore during challenges and from being voted off. In order for this to really be in their favor, I would make the villain's alliance be exposed later on, maybe in episode 11 and with the other players returning and having been able to watch the episodes, the other players would make the villain's alliance known or they don't get exposed at all (Am I being biased with the villains? Possibly). It could turn out that only the villain's alliance is exposed or Fiore and Jake's alliance gets exposed as well. I'm leaning towards their alliance doesn't get exposed until episode 10 with the villains, after Ashley is kicked off Fiore calls for meeting and introduces the idea of Jake joining them and explains that Jake only voted with the others to not rise any suspicions and in episode 12 the heroes realize that not only have they lost Gabby but Jake as well with him choosing to vote out Tom. (I haven't thought it out all the way yet so apologies if its a bit messy)
I'm not sure if I would have Tom and Jake be a couple again. I feel like in this rewrite when Tom and Jake finally have a talk, Tom is the one who initiates it since he can tell that Jake is annoyed/mad at him with the constant glares thrown his way. Jake doesn't deny it and wants to know why Tom suddenly stopped responding to him and Miriam. Tom will still lie about having a boyfriend because he misinterpets the reasoning behind Jake's anger, thinking that Jake wanted an answer on where they stand romantically since they both agreed to wait and see. Jake is shocked at the news but congrats Tom nonetheless but doesn't see how him having boyfriend would stop Tom from contacting him and Miriam after her medical scare. Tom then realizes that Jake is actually mad about him about not responding during Miriam's time in the hospital and this exactly where Jake blows up at Tom (possibly the beginning of Jake leaning more to the villains).
Thanks to Jake and Fiore having an alliance, this gives Fiore and Alec more time to interact and to eventually reconcile.
When the villain's alliance is first made, Ellie would tell Gabby as soon as they are alone instead of not admitting to be in it until later (I don't understand why she didn't tell Gabby sooner.). While Gabby who has shown some discomfort with how Ellie has been acting towards the other contestants since episode 1, I would have liked for Gabby to have discuss with Ellie that she's worried about her because if Ellie isn't careful she'll make herself more of a target (Ellie seems to only be able to get along with Gabby and treats everyone else is an enemy most of the time).
Since Grett and Yul's relationship is genuine, Emily doesn't get fired and her and Trevor's friendship just gets stronger.
More time between challenges so characters have more time to interact with each other; cute couple moments for James & Aiden. Gabby & Ellie and Grett & Yul. Also Hunter, Tess and Ally would be able to hangout more (After hanging out with Tess, I can see Hunter and Ally talk about how fun it was to be with Tess but then admit that all three of them being together just felt right in a way that they can't seem to explain and this could be the start of huntessally).
Not a rewrite but as of right now with how All Stars is going, I'm hoping Alec wins.
-Also thanks for liking my rewrite ideas from before! And thanks to the person who said my rewrite ideas are amazing :) I'm actually thinking of making an account on Ao3 and writing oneshots based on my rewrite ideas.
-Also hope you're having a good time on your vacation!

all of these are just... everything i needed from this season. i desperately want to see fiore as a vulnerable, actual child rather than a monster. i want to see the heroes act like heroes and see this, like jake does - and then i want this black-and-white villains-heroes stuff to be shoved aside and proven worthless and even hurtful when jake prefers to join the villains.
huntessally .... ourgrhrggr..,....,, ,,..... ..,, ,,..., ,
alec and fiore bonding more, and yet fiore’s family-like relationship with alec not being the main part of her character? she gets to have a character outside of him? she gets to BEFRIEND OTHERS???
JAKE GETS TO BEFRIEND OTHERS??? DO SOMETHING OUTSIDE OF TOM??????? scandalous! to both of these! SO NEEDED. I NEED THEM TO BE ACTUAL PEOPLE. I NEED TO RELATE TO AND EMPATHIZE WITH THEM. I DO NOT WANT THEM TO BE SO FLAT AND BORING.
anon you are literally feeding me smsmsm with these ideas. please if you ever do make an ao3, shoot me another ask so i can promote it - i for sure would check it out and i’m sure many others following this blog would too!!
and thank you, my vacation is going great! :3 :3

That Julian smut drove me insane! That was literally the best Julian Brandt smut I’ve ever read.
All I can think about is smut with him in the locker room after he loses a match.
── the aftermath of a loss, julian brandt
⤷ pairing ;; julian brandt & female reader ⤷ summary ;; after a loss against bayern münchen & losing the first place as well, julian needs to take out his anger somewhere. or better with someone. ⤷ warnings ;; p in v, explicit sex scenes, touching genitals ⤷ minors ;; do not interact, thank you. ⤷ izzy's rambling on ;; i don't know if i can say it like that but i'm in love with this piece, like really in love in love.
⤷ word count ;; 2653.
borussia dortmund was on a winning streak for weeks. no one was able to stop the yellow-blacks from reaching the top of the bundesliga chart until the archenemy visited the signal iduna park. the first place was owned by bayern münchen, they reserved it for years and kept getting stronger and stronger.
this time, the team of borussia dortmund was prepared for such an intense game. at least, it was exactly what the coach and his players thought before the referee blew the whistle to start the first half. everything they‘ve shown on the pitch those past weeks vanished. dortmund stood against the great bayern münchen like a team who just joined the higher ranks of the bundesliga and couldn’t focus at all.
it was a disaster, starting with kobel missing the ball in euphoria, and granting bayern an easy lead goal. what followed, could have been suicide. three goals, outplayed by the team, and not even being able to defend the slightest from an incoming attack. and to say julian was furious about the embarrassing match was a ridiculous understatement.
it should not have been possible to feel this kind of degradation after dominating the chart most of the time.
when the dortmund players left the building one after one, you started to feel the concern gnaw on your heart when julian's handsome, cherry blossom-pink-tinted face did not appear in your sight. the jersey, colored in bumblebee golden and deep black, draped over your crossed arms, you decided to await the next appearing figure from the tunnels before going inside.
but instead of the handsome face, you admired so much at each hour of the day, his captain stepped outside. dressed in the bright sunflower-yellow jacket with the dortmund emblem sewn on the front left, marco raised an arm to wave goodbye to you before disappearing towards the waiting car.
shaking your head, you felt the frustration building up, and mixing with the formerly felt feeling. concerned about julian‘s well-being and him, beating himself up, for a lost match, you entered the tunnels. your face was a known one to the guards, julian has taken you to the vip section more than once in the past.
greeting them nicely with a nod of your head, you strolled down the corridor until the locker room sign caught your eye. most players already left the building, desiring to be with their loved ones after such a devastating outcome, yet, julian still stayed in the arena.
knocking against the door with your knuckles, you waited of couple of seconds for an answer. but the silence from the other side frightened you. pushing the door open carefully, you glanced inside. dim, yellow light from the ceiling illuminated the changing room, the small corridor to the shower was completely dark. in the right corner, you recognize the large, yellow bag with number nineteen written on the thick material.
„jule?“ your soft voice echoed through the locker room, reminding you that you should not be in this place, not julian seemed to be. walking further inside, the heavy door closed behind you. the surprising sound almost made you jump, as sudden shivers covered your skin. „jule?“ you questioned again, hoping that he would just sit somewhere around the corner, trying to play a very unfunny joke on you.
but there was no answer again. instead, footsteps boomed off the walls, the loud sound of soles hitting the tiles on the floor made it difficult to determine the source. looking from left to right, you suddenly felt trapped in the middle of a locker room. and when you finally decided to explore the darkened room where the showers were, a hand wrapped tightly around your wirst and effortlessly pulled you backward. your chest collided with the cold door, the heated cheek pressed against the material. an arm twisted behind your back, holding you perfectly in the position.
an attempt to wiggle yourself out of the contact fired the wrong way. instead of being able to run away from whatever was happening at the moment, you were pushed stronger against the door. exhaling hasty, and quick breaths as the sudden fear overshadowed any previous feeling you had, your ears were blessed with an all too familiar chuckle. „calm down, love. it’s just me.“ julian cooed, pressing himself against your back to blow a gentle kiss on the crown of your hair.
the increased heartbeat finally slowed down when julian confessed that the presence you felt, was him. „you fucking scared me, you idiot.“ you remarked, rolling the eyes to the back of your head in annoyance. “come on, babe. don’t do that, it only ends in punishment.” julian teased, reminding you of the list of rules he made months ago. rolling the eyes, and unnecessary insults were truly against what he demanded.
“can you let go of me now? i’m pretty sure, you’re leaving bruises again.” you let your head lean against the cold door, feeling your mind drifting into a different world. the position you were in, pressed up against the door, with your back slightly arched and exposing your ass to him. perfectly, rounded cheeks which became the greatest occupation for his rough palms.
“why? don’t you like it?” julian muttered, a hand wandering over your left side, and dug into the skin around your hipbone. “i like it, the way your body already reacts to my touch in this position.”
“jule.” you spoke, a warning, low tone overtaking your usual, gentle voice. “we can work further on your growing problem at home.”
“don’t think i can actually keep the anger inside of me for longer.” you tried to wiggle out of his tight grip, but with one of your arms held tightly on the curve of your back, your empty one was completely useless. even with two, it would be difficult to overpower the blonde man. “let me fuck my rage into you, baby.”
you wished for your head to stop working for once, or at least, having your body under control when julian was around. but your legs betrayed you, clutching together tightly and attempting to stop the wetness from pooling. “see, don’t tell me you don’t want me.” julian’s deep chuckle vibrated in his chest, and sent shiver straight down your spine.
ignoring him was easy, resisting his attempts of having his way with you, was impossible in each situation. “i will make it quick, i promise.” his lips pressed a quick kiss to the side of your neck, the wetness reminding you of the times, his skilled tongue trailed over the veins on the sides of your throat after multiple orgasm denials.
how lucky for the midfielder that you picked out a denim skirt for today's match as the sun settled deeply in the sky, between the small clouds that traveled alone through the endless blue. "I'm not convinced about this, jule. i don't want you to get ― "
the second you ranted again about the consequences that waited behind the same door, you were pressed against, if a coach or guard decided to check if the changing rooms were empty; julian decided for himself to interrupt you. fleshy fingers brushed over the velvet, lace underwear, tapping the rough pads against the damp spot right between your thighs. "you've always been too intrigued by a little aggressiveness, my love."
julian knew exactly which buttons he had to press, or which words had to roll off his tongue to coax out the needy whimpers, and sharp hisses from your dry throat. it happened often enough to become a daily habit for the football player. letting the tips of his fingers trace over the lace material of your panties, drawing each ornament painfully slow, the lightest but most skillful touch already blessed you with enough bliss to let a simple moan slip past your lips. "so easily convincible."
his vocals were teasing you, a reminder of how quickly your demeanor faltered once his skilled fingers found the right places to touch. mostly the wetness pooling between your thighs, on other days, his meaty palm against the silken skin of your waist. on other days, it should not be this unchallenging for julian and yet, resisting him turned out to be hopeless. "so beautiful, so wet."
fingertips dipped underneath the thin layer of lace material, pulling the fabric to the side to reveal your dripping pussy. "what a pity, i can't feel your sweet taste on my tongue." the confession made you clench your thighs together, the desire increasing to a level, you did not know existed. but julian reacted quicker than your body, using his knee to keep your legs open enough for his hand to fit between them.
he tsked, "come on baby, don't be like that. we have to be quick." the explanations he gave you, were backed up by many reasons. solely a handful involved the appearance of a teammate, who had a hard time keeping a secret to himself. by midnight, anyone at borussia dortmund would be informed about the extraordinary happenings in the changing room.
you winced as he smeared the pre-cum over your pussy, coating his dick in a mixture of your juices, and partly his. "don't worry, princess. i will just hurt for a couple of seconds." julian informed you, preparing your mindset for the intentions he had. before processing, that the little play of his hands was solely to demonstrate how much power he had over your body; and not because he felt the need to stretch you before entering, he already pushed his tip between your labia and into your wet hole.
the warmth immediately greeted him, your walls stretched out for his dick and the wetness still pooling between your thighs, made it easier for julian to slip in. he always loved how damp a spot on your lacey underwear was; after simply touching your party in general places. pads digging into your waist, fingers dancing to an inaudible melody over your exposed thigh. the little things caused sparks in your stomach, the thought of not knowing what julian was up to next.
for now, you knew, he wasn't going to be easy with you. time ticked away, the cleaning staff should shortly arrive to eradicate the mess, the team left behind in the tunnels and rooms. your sole free hand clenched, trying to hold on to something. but pressed against the door did not give her many options. nails scratched over the solid metal of the door, not strong enough to fill the room with squeaks. "fuck, you always feel so good, always welcoming my cock."
the words coaxed a slight moan out of your throat, needing to feel more of him before the time ran out. hues of cherry red and watermelon pink mixed on the span of your cheeks, the soft skin of your right face pressed against the metal door while one of your arms was still trapped on your back; and julian's tight grip.
his free hand stroked over the left cheek of your ass, slapping his finger multiple times against the wiggling flesh while starting to pull his dick, and thrust himself back in. easy wasn't an option tonight, julian needed to make the most of the minutes that were left. and going home with him would be so much easier if the rage vanished into thin air, and the rants weren't as horrible to listen to.
skin slapping on skin echoed through the formerly dead silent changing rooms, the rough-skinned palm pressed against the lush skin around the length of your waist. lids fluttered closed from the bliss of his deep thrusts, the reddened tip stroking the sweet spot inside of you. pushed in the pleasure-filled haze, and the sensation of being trapped between the cold door, and his warm body, were almost enough to tip you over the edge.
you let him set the pace, feeling his hips snap against your ass quicker and harsher than the past times, you were sprawled out on the bed, julian hovering above you. while the time was short, the midfielder had a harder time concentrating on his relentless movements with the pretty noises that fell out of your mouth. melodious moans, and soft whines, combined.
"why don't you cum for me, love?" julian's voice was closer to you, his chin resting on your back, the mouth pressing soft kisses over your shoulder blade. "or do you want the cleaning staff to find us? maybe even watch us without letting us know they even found us?"
his voice was a mess of raspy but persuasive words, luring you into another world filled with much more than quiet whines. slowly, you forced yourself to open your eyelids. a sudden desire to at least have a glimpse of what julian looked like at this exact moment overcame your pleasure-filled body. blonde strands turned into an inevitable mess. beads of sweat covered his forehead, the thin hairs stuck against the sticky skin as he solely focused on the moment, how his thick length disappeared in your stretched-out pussy.
eyebrows deeply furrowed, thick lines of wrinkles appearing between his eyes and the hairline as the concentration twisted his features. it was always julian's priority to make you cum before him, and he always succeeded. his entire being, his presence, has been addictive and intoxicating for you since the first day, he laid his eyes on you
and the image of julian behind you, so entirely focused on sending you into a deep bliss-filled haze, and it was right there. the pleasure overcame you faster than expected, the low groans coaxed out of his dry mouth pulled the last strings to untie the knot. quivering limbs, nails trying so miserably to leave marks all over the door and your walls clenching around julian's length, holding him tightly inside of you while his thrusts became a sloppy rhythm. moans left your dry mouth in a mess, his name mixed with oh's and multiple curse words.
large hands grabbed at your hips desperately until he's emptied himself inside of you. pressing his body against yours tightly, julian's hips stuttered as last the white spurts covered the insides of your pussy. instead of pulling out of you, you felt the bruising grip of his fingers release the arm behind your back, and press the palms of his sweaty hands against the cold metal door. heavy-breathing chest lifted with the deep inhales of oxygen, and you felt every movement; trapped further between the solid exit and your boyfriend. "told you, you would like it." julian breathed against the side of your head, the warm breath fanning mildly across your ear as he slowly, and very carefully pulled out of your pussy.
the soreness settled in quickly, as your wetness and his semen dribbled down the inside of your thighs. "never said i would not like it. just a very inappropriate location." you chuckled, forcing your exhausted, and heavy limbs to turn around and face julian. delicate fingertips reached out for his face, trailing along his temples and over his right, red-tinted cheek.
"you look like you just came off the pitch." and the confession made him chuckle, even after losing the game after having such an advantage. "nah, they don't make me this whacked. only you do." he tugged his limp dick back into the jogging pants, before his calloused fingers helped you to place your lace, still damp, panties over your pussy again. your face twisted in disgust, the feeling a rather uncomfortable one.
"just till we're home." julian muttered, letting you pull down the denim skirt before taking a step forward, his chewed-up lips placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. and just as he turned around to grab the yellow bag from the wooden benches, the squeaking sounds of the cleaning staff's old trolly echoed through the catacombs.

There is no fear in love
(Mafiafell Sans x Reader)
Chapter Six: Night Visit
[Index | Previous | Next]
Blood drips from the remnants of the bottle.
It stains the carpet, as does your robe when you kneel and reach out for the victim.
He lies on the ground, what he'd worn to hide his appearance now gone from his face. What confirms him to be the same man you've been helping as of late is the medicine vial he's clutching, and which he saves in his pocket as he groans and rubs at where you've hit him. His jaw is clenched, and there's the faint scent of smoke emanating from his body.
“I'm so, so sorry,” you whisper, crouching before him and leaning in.
You've never seen a skeleton bleed before.
In fact, roughly about a month ago – when this same monster man had shown up at your garden with your lost child – you had not seen a living, breathing skeleton at all.
Your hand presses on his trembling shoulder, and you try not to recoil when you feel a faint warmth emanate from his body.
               “I didn't think you would–”
You're cut off by laughter, and you look back to his skull to see he's opened his eye sockets.
He places a palm on his injury as he pushes you aside and stands up.
“my fault, i'll admit,” he says, grinning. “i’ve seen ya pour that sparkling wine before like it's been sent to you by god himself. the last thing i expected was you goin' for my head like you're a professional baseball player aimin’ for the world record.”
He laughs louder, so you have to stand up, rush back to him, and press a palm against his teeth.
And – wasting no opportunity – he immediately licks it, though you don't recoil.
“I've had snot smeared on my robe, vomit spilled on my chest and lap, and grubby hands cup my face just to say something to me,” you state, pressing harder. “I can assure you a little saliva won't-”
A hand grabs your rear, and the other holds the wrist of the hand you'd intended to smack him away with.
You still don't set his mouth free, and that seems to flash amusement into his gaze.
“Stoop that low, and I won't hesitate to shove my crucifix into your eye socket.”
His hand removes itself from your rear.
At that, you set his mouth free and step back.
“i came to say thank you,” he says, again reaching for his injury as he walks to your bed and sits in the middle. “we've been doin' alright, no – more than alright, since you've started givin' us all those medicines.”
“It's Frisk wish to see you thrive, is it not?” you comment, arriving at your dresser, where you fetch a first aid kit. “I assume hospitals want little to do with my child, if they're the reason for people's anger toward… your kind’s integration into our world, so this is the least I can do to help."
You take it, sit next to the monster, and retrieve some salve, alcohol, and cotton balls.
“If you ever need more, you can gladly visit even outside of the usual schedule, but…" You douse the cotton with alcohol and wipe it across the injury. “But not like this. It's late in the night, and you've sneaked into my room… as if you're a teenage boy looking for some action in a highschool flick.”
Next comes the salve and a gauze with two strips of tape.
“And then, to make matters worse, you show up in a disguise.”
You remove the coat over his shoulders and fold it, placing it on the bedside table when you're finished.
“I can hardly see you as is with the dim candlelight. What do you think was going to happen – You showing up at my bed like we're roommates with scarce living accommodations? I wasn't going to say:  ‘Welcome home, darling!’, nor was I going to softly embrace you.”
When you look up to make eye contact again, you see he's grinning from ear to ear.
“Tell me what's so funny,” you ask, placing your palm over his chest. “You've been silent for a while.”
Instead of answering, a hand holds your chin, and his thumb traces over your upper lip.
“all this time,” he replies, trailing off with a fit of chuckles. “you've…”
Horror cascades onto your body when you see he wipes something white off your face and licks it clean.
“you've been talkin’ to me with a milk moustache.”
It's your duty to cover his mouth once more, his laughter further booming – giving you no time to shrivel up with embarrassment in a corner of your room.
“Why didn't you say so sooner?”
He shrugs, then licks your palm again.
“And please, stop that. If you want me to find it gross or arousing, it is neither.”
Be that as it may, the word ‘arousing’ flickers prominent brightness into his irises.
And now, you've come to the conclusion you've taken a terribly wrong step.
His hands reach for your hips, pulling you forward and onto his lap.
It's there that he faces an obstacle: the length of your skirt impeding him from parting your legs. He grabs a handful of the fabric and lifts it to your knees, then brings you close until you're straddling him. Your refusal to let his mouth free for the second time declares it more difficult to do anything against him, and yet you'd rather endure this than risk having him be loud and your Sisters finding someone unknown in your room.
               He kisses your palm.
And after, his hands move toward your veil, slipping under it and stopping on the back of your neck.
“What do I need to do for you to stop that?”
You pull your hand back, though you keep it close – just in case.
“i wanna spend more time with you.”
Before you can shut him up again, he grabs your wrists and tugs you closer, until you're nearly pressed against his chest.
               “...Why?”
“i think i like you more than i thought.”
He lets go, then places his hands back on your hips.
“i’m curious about you, and i wanna get to know you better.”
“Is that all? It doesn't sound like you genuinely mean that.”
               Knock-knock.
For the third time, you press your palm against his mouth.
And he does the same, muting both the words you planned to respond to the person behind the door with and the gasp his actions draw out from you.
“shut up,” he whispers, after brushing your hand off. “don't say a thing, and they won't find out.”
Another set of knocks is heard, and footsteps fade when receiving no answer.
He pulls his hand back and removes your veil.
“if anyone asks, tell them ya don't know nothin’, and-”
Footsteps sound once more – quicker now.
               “-and fake you've been sleepin’.”
               The doorknob rattles.
He lifts you off his lap, straightens out your skirt, and the rest happens too quickly for you to take it all in.
His hands roaming your body as he puts you to sleep, and the whoosh of the wind as he's gone with the blink of an eye, messes caused by his abrupt presence and your reaction towards it cleaned right as the doorknob ceases rattling. A dresser once littered with a variety of items you’d set aside while searching for first aid is tidier than how you'd left it. The few items scattered on the bed have been put away, as well. Similarly, the wrinkled carpet has been fixed, and the glass shards from the broken wine bottle have all been picked up. Everything’s in its rightful place, and the only objects out are the empty mug of milk on the bedside table and your veil folded next to it. Evidence of there being anyone else before would be complicated to find for someone as skilled as a detective.
When it rattles again, an unknown force pushes you back to bed and closes your eyes.
“Sister!” a familiar tone calls out, accompanied by the sound of the door slamming against the wall. Are you alright? We all heard a man's voice, and Sister Gabriel said that she…”
               Her footsteps come closer.
               “She…”
Try as you might, you can't move an inch.
Something impedes from acting upon your thoughts.
               “Sister Magdalene?”
There's the sound of her walking closer, along with the fabric of her robe shuffling.
Soon after, she rests her palm against your forehead.
“Oh, dear,” she exclaims, removing her hand and placing it on your cheek. “You're burning up!”
               You can't move.
               You can't speak.
You can barely open your eyes.
               “Sister Gabriel, come- come quickly!”
There's the sound of more footsteps – incredibly rushed and clearly panicked as the one called bumps against the door, clattering whatever she carried into the room and sending it all to the floor.
“Forgive me, b- but we saw a shadow outside, and I… I can't seem to control my shaking.”
“Nevermind that. We need to take care of all this first!”
There's the sound of the two Sisters picking up the mess of broken shards while you drift off, fatigue forcing your slumber.
“What is this strange-looking garment?” is the last thing you hear, as you lose the remainder of your consciousness.

I believe you mentioned seeing Love Lies Bleeding - would love to hear your thoughts on it if you have any (and good luck with the car troubles).
It's GREAT. Everyone who is not averse to grievous bodily harm shown on screen go see it. I am not like...terribly up on film just generally; I grew up in a house that limited TV screentime with parents who hate movie theaters so there is a weird cross section of movies I know that is immensely idiosyncratic since I just don't really have a movie-going habit. Also since getting into CR in 2018 it's like. well I don't really have two hours to kill watching movies; I watch 4+ hours of stuff a week and that's plenty. So I cannot speak to things like cinematography, though it did feel well-put together and attractive to look at and all that.
I think the story is solid - nothing groundbreaking except for the fact that usually this is not a story told about queer women that (spoilers) ends with them free and together (more on this later) but it's well done as a neo-noir, the acting is fantastic, and it feels so wonderfully...big and small at the same time? Like, do not get me wrong, I enjoy a blockbuster, but when I think back to the movies I've liked as of late*, Honor Among Thieves is the only one that takes place over a sprawling journey. I guess Barbie, debatably. Like, Love Lies Bleeding is almost entirely in a small town in New Mexico with a brief portion in Vegas or in the immediate surroundings. We are not jetsetting or using green screens. The majority of the film is in a handful of places, the core cast is like 6 people with two significant supporting players. I love this. As someone who leans more towards longer form fiction in general it's just really nice to have something that says "we have under two hours and we are going to embrace having under two hours and tell a story that fucking FITS in under two hours instead of just giving you some weird shard of a Cinematic Universe."
Re the queer women: thank GOD for casting queer women as queer women and probably more importantly having queer women doing things like writing and directing. The sex scenes are great and the relationship feels...I can't say I have the experience of being one of the only queer women in a small town in the late 80s and low-key detesting the one other woman but this all feels so much like. Of course Lou responds like this! This is the first new and fortuitous thing that has happened in her life! U-Haul jokes aside like yeah this is her big chance! It's both their big chances! And honestly until pretty late in the film, because I went in with little info other than "Kristen Stewart and Katy O'Brien bodybuilder lesbian romance crime drama" I expected it to end with one of them dead and the thing is the story works either way, and that feels really great to me, a tragedy enjoyer but also a comedy enjoyer.
Also I love pitch-black humor and this absolutely has that, and I enjoy magical realism when done very sparingly and this is precisely the right amount (if you assume it's magical realism, which I do; I also enjoy ambiguity). Anyway go see a fucked up lesbian and her fucked up bi girlfriend get entangled by ambition, righteous anger, vengeance, limited opportunity, and Ed Harris's skullet and bug obsession.
Finally, a personal anecdote: I saw this at the Alamo Drafthouse and as you may know they do various event screenings. They are showing Twilight: Eclipse for the total solar eclipse. It is HILARIOUS to see a trailer for Twilight: Eclipse (ft. young Kristen Stewart as personality-less girl in love triangle with two guys) before Love Lies Bleeding. talk about a glow-up. Absolutely wild to me that Stewart and Pattinson both ended up as genuinely talented actors with a taste for the unhinged given their breakthrough was Twilight.

waitttt youre so real for being a bully fan + orbit… if u associate that yeojin pic w lola which of the moon girls would u assign to the other girlies… :3c
HI SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG TO ANSWER i kinda fell off tumblr for a while i can’t lieee… but i love this question and i love you for asking it and it made my autism fire off on all cylinders so hope you don’t mind a response that is way longer than it has any right to be HEHE
im actually gonna take this ask in a different direction than you maybe originally meant it in so i apologize for that however i think my interpretations work best if i specifically use the loonaverse versions of the members because for 1 it just fits together a little better in my head if i connect these fictional characters to the fictionalized versions of these irl people, if that makes sense. and 2 im also just very autistic about the loonaverse. sorry
ok so despite the fact that i associate lola w that specific pic of yj, i find her more in line with yves, narratively speaking. because, well. yves is a fucking player. sneaking out to go on dates with vivi, stringing along chuu to make her partake of the fruit, recruiting her to convince gowon to do the same, fucking hyeju over, and THEN after hyeju had her little angry moment, yves just flashed her a smile and a wave to make her forgive her???? she has everyone wrapped around her finger. it’s crazy. two little baddie rulebreakers who WILL get what they want through love and/or war. love them
as for pinky, i debated on this one a bit. on one had there’s the undeniable rich girl swag of haseul. on the other, the princess-like charms of gowon were tempting. but ultimately? she’s a yeojin girl. her debut concept was so cute and quirky, but still with a distinct attitude to it that very much gives spoiled youngest and/or only child. she also has that same princess vibe, but a little more bright and youthful compared to gowon’s darker/more somber side of it. beyond debut, yeojin’s persona develops to lean more into that sassier vibe with the cuter aspects becoming more of an undertone which is very pinky to me
mandy… this one is flexible for me as well, between heejin or jinsoul. ppl usually say this about hyeju, but i actually think heej and soul have more “two sides of the same coin” qualities which kinda makes me wanna use them as a pair? like a duality if that makes sense. they’re both kinda morally ambiguous, heejin leaning more towards good and jinsoul more neutral/possibly evil, and also seem to have a lot more like. knowledge about the universe they’re in. like they’re very Aware of things and both attempt to exercise control over their surroundings a lot. jinsoul’s methods (allegedly!) are more Morally Questionable which is kinda where mandy leans, but i think the conflict between the two (as seen in not friends) can represent her change in how she views people and approaches relationships after… everything. they’re also both super gay
for beatrice i think maybe vivi? it’s mostly vibes based here. but vivi being an android is shown to be something that alienates her from her peers and makes her insecure in herself, despite the fact that she’s probably smarter and more talented than most if not all of them because of it. she still just wants to fit in and be a normal girl with friends who like her. later on, vivi’s android powers are shown to be more of an asset that can help her and her friends when they need it. i mean she literally piloted a space ship by herself for presumably several years to help them jump timelines or something. i think beatrice would appreciate that. plus, i think the edily concept can represent her more girly and romantic side. real yearner girl hours
now for zoe. hyeju. she’s hyeju. no debate really. they’re both initially characterized by their anger, having been hurt and betrayed and feeling really alone and isolated. hyeju is kinda viewed as a villain or a bad person because of her anger and craving for revenge, and while she can be volatile, at the end of the day she’s kinda just. a kid who was hurt. and yeah maybe she isn’t the “perfect victim”, she’s rude and angry and lashes out at people whether they deserve it or not. but she still didn’t deserve to be hurt the way she was. and she very much IS capable of love and forgiveness and she can eventually mend what was broken if she accepts the help offered to her. it just might take her a little extra time and some people willing to give her a chance. and also forgive some possible alleged murders but that’s not important
ok im gonna stop with just the clique girls cause this would get way too long HAHAHA but thank u for this ask and i hope u found my interpretations of these characters and this silly kpop lore at least somewhat interesting or accurate :P also hope ur enjoying the comeback hype as much as i am YIPPEEEE

Bxbdb another fun one
Karasu x chigiri:
Tumblr media
This is the first time I'm hearing of them as a ship and I find it lowkey funny :') They'd be salt buddies fr fr. Chigiri "it made my blood boil" anger king Hyoma and Karasu "on your own, your coordination is nothing but mediocre" Tabito. They bond over crushing the people who think they're better than them.
Also, I only said that this has crackship energy because I'm picturing a scenario in which Chigiri's whole fam was Karasu's bisexual awakening
Reo x isagi:
Tumblr media
I see them strictly as platonic buddies, but LISTEN, I don't get why the fandom sleeps on the fact that these two are canonically confidantes??? Don't get me wrong, I totally get why the nagireo fandom latched onto Chigiri as The Wingman™, since they're all together in the Nel arc, but Chigiri's canonically kind of harsh towards Reo's feelings and doesn't offer him any sympathy...? While Isagi is much more chill and actually listens when he had no obligation to. Plus Reo doesn't have nearly as much animosity towards him post 3v3 as the fandom sometimes seems to believe. In fact, there is one (1) person Reo repeatedly talks about his friendship with Nagi to and that's Isagi, who listens both times and doesn't judge, but instead respects Reo's resolve to better himself.
I know fanon doesn't have to be based off canon necessarily but I think this dynamic is criminally underrated, at least as platonic friends. Yes cause they are FRIENDS. I'm not making that up! You think that Reo, a stupidly proud guy who won't even admit to Nagi's face that he was hurt, would turn to Isagi, whom he once blamed for their separation, to tell him about his doubts moving forward if he wasn't friendly with him?? Come on. Isagi respects Reo's skills, and Reo respects Isagi as a player, and they had that open-heart chat about which team to join and the insecurities attached... Reo confessed to fearing he'll always chase Nagi's back and never be his equal if he turns away now and Isagi shared stuff about himself in turn and his admiration/worship of noa, showing he listened. Isagi isn't over the top in his shows of affection, but his one tell is that he's a good listener. I'm just saying, they can relate to each other, and even though their bond is shown subtly, it's absolutely there, and it has more potential imho than the "you're the cause of my jealousy" it's often reduced to. Reo makes jokes about Isagi's offers, calls him predictable in the manshine match (which shows he's been looking), at one point he even pretty much warns him "careful or nagi will leave you too behind". That's not advice you'd give to someone you hate or are indifferent to. They're buddies, okay. And they're very important to me. I love friendships just as much as ships and these two have a very slow building but strong one imho. It just gets overshadowed because Reo isn't touchy with him (maybe he respects Isagi's comfort zone?) and Isagi has much louder friends who kinda make his other bonds subtler in comparison

EP 7 the Keeley is Hot Shit episode (1st of many tbh)
-- Bi Keeley from the start I'm serious. She absolutely comes onto Rebecca a million times in this episode and plays it off like a joke every time
-- there's gotta be a story behind that very pointed reminder about missing furniture. Has someone written that? Someone needs to write that
-- it takes them 2 whole years to get to that promised pillow fight, but we do get there. Patience pays, my friends.
-- god i forgot that A. Sassy's name is Flo and B. She's a child psychologist. The fact that she doesn't set off Ted's early hatred towards therapists says to me either he doesn't know or it's only people who try to shrink him that bother him which. Given the full story of his couples counselor is 100% valid actually
-- we are clearly shown how Roy catches Isaac making sure that one player is present and participating during movie night, and i don't think Roy's retirement is for another few episodes at least. Us getting to see that moment is par for the course but us seeing Roy seeing it? I'm convinced more and more that these writers absolutely intended for people to rewatch this series over and over and i love them for it
-- Michelle is being really pushy actually about the divorce papers. He got them like 4 hours ago, he's currently working, in a different time zone, and travelling with the team in a hotel right now. She's really fucking pushing for this, and. And! Having her lawyer text him at midnight as well! (which. That would be the response of someone who doesn't want to get found out. Like of she were having an affair with her therapist the whole time and if Ted found out she might very well lose custody of Henry. So. Ted and Rebecca are gonna have A Lot to talk about Very Soon in the new series bc they're both gonna be jilted exes of immoral cheaters.)
-- ok yes I'm a tedependent truther but. The evidence for Ted/Rebecca is piling up too. Either that or they're literary foils which honestly is about the same for fic writers anyways lmao
-- man Ted getting mad is so fucking jarring, o can see why he made up the Led Tasso character bc that man really needs to process his emotions better holy hell
-- the theme of this episode being repressed anger (Ted's and Roy's especially, but also Rebecca's) is such a good theme that you'd never find in another sports comedy and like. Do any of the writers need a sugar baby? I'm just saying I'm single at the moment and half in love with all of them.
-- Sam jumping up immediately to take Rebecca's coat before she goes on for karaoke....
-- Ted having a panic attack to Let It Go bc he bottles up everything and never lets anyone see how he really feels and he's so fucking sad and angry and lonely and he can't let it go bc everyone relies on him being honest and happy and strong and ....relatable
-- there's a lot of psych studies coming out now saying that adults in this age are never taught how to properly process their emotions because we always shut them down before it's fully out of our system bc that's how we were taught, to wipe away the tears and keep moving, and i gotta say that's exactly how Ted acts here. He's not allowing himself to actually confront the reality of how he feels and so it just keeps building and building and. Well. We saw how that played out.
-- Roy is nowhere near my type but honestly that was so fucking hot of him. Waiting all tall dark and mysterious under the red lighting, snogging the hell out of Keeley without saying a word, then fucking off to god knows where.....yeah i agree with Keeley that shit would get me hooked, too

Oh okay, this ended up being long but we love being self-indulgent this Friday evening. But I figured why not have something a bit more serious.
"What are you doing here?!"
Sophie's voice is above a whisper that borders on a hiss. The kind someone behind a curtain at a stage event would do. Her eyes are pleading even, a sort of desperation and unbelieving she's even seeing Oswald here.
He on the other hand can only stare back as if he's inspecting a dust bunny and not someone currently in panic.
"What?"
They're both dressed quite well. She in her floor-length dress, it drapes across her body perfectly- a soft grey that- As Roman stated earlier, 'A Goddess would wear.' The Penguin on the other hand, is, as always, in a finely-tailored suit, monocle, and even his top hat tonight.
It's an occasion. Or at least something eye-rolling worthy to Oswald; an invitation from Roman Sionis aka Black Mask sent to him and a few others. Players on the board that makes up Gotham. The club that Roman has them at tonight is closed and only those invited are here. Point in case all the bosses or lessers even he's invited have their muscle with them also. So you could say those invited and their plus... Many. In The Penguin's case, Sophie can see he has three 'goons' as he calls them with him. A sentiment she doesn't like to call her own employees but to each their own.
"We've been invited for a 'meeting', and to be honest I should be the one asking why you're here."
His mismatched eyes bore into hers now, something tight-lipped about him and distrusting. Yet she can see he's intrigued also because he's sure he's going to find out about the type of relationship Sophie has with Roman Sionis. Something he's been trying to figure out for a few months now ever since learning more about the woman in front of him.
"You have to know this is a trap."
"Of course, do you think these three are the only ones with me?"
The way Oswald scoffs at Sophie only makes her more anxious. Something she's never shown to him, in a way it actually starts to wear on him but he keeps it to himself. Much better at a poker face it seems. Although that poker face is wiped away almost instantaneously when she reaches, grabs him by the elbow, and starts to drag him toward the kitchen doors. Away from the lobby entrance.
Her strength actually alarms him as he is shuffled forward enough before putting a stop to her.
"Can you contain yourself, woman?!"
Now it's him hissing at her in a loud whisper as he looks around, trying not to be embarrassed even though there's enough going on nobody really takes notice. Except for Oswald's muscle who quickly try to get between the two until Oswald himself waves them off, while he himself dramatically straightens out his suit. Even adjusting the monocle in his eye.
"This isn't a joke, Oswald. I don't.. I... You're all here because you're lesser. People Black Mask thinks he can get rid of in one go. He's going to have me wipe you from the board."
That makes Oswald do a double take, a blank face before something like amusement and then anger. Anger at being called 'lesser', a nasty sneer on his lips as he looks at her coldly.
"Is that what he thinks of me? What you think of me?"
"No! You idiot, are you listening-"
"Right, right, you're going to murder us all, I suppose. Are you just going to shoot us-"
"Oswald. You need to leave."
Before any more words can be spoken between them, familiar steps and a charming but dangerous smile plays on the lips of (1) Roman Sionis. No mask on. Yet. His arms are out in an inviting manner as he walks up to them both, over in the corner of the lobby near the kitchens. Sophie can see something suspicious flash across his eyes, his gaze taking them near each other so closely. He doesn't like it. Making it a point to gather Sophie in his arms as if they'd always been close.
"The Penguin himself! Nice to finally meet you, I heard about The Iceberg Lounge and even 'Oswalds' once. Prehistoric now!"
The joke and laugh Roman makes are full of knives as he looks unabashedly in Oswald's face. Yet in a sort of needle-like grace, Oswald smiles in an almost humble manner. His voice accommodating as he and Roman 'chat.' Or trade insults. Roman's are brutish and to the point, Oswald's more graceful and full of spite.
It only serves to make Sophie watch them play their little game as she bunches her dress up in her fist near her side. The left hand is knuckle white. She looks at Roman and knows what lies behind his eyes, 'he'd shoot Oswald straight up right now, he's only holding back because he wants a show instead.'
"But why don't you find a seat? As you know I've invited everyone for some dinner and a show! After that, we'll all discuss... Gotham."
Roman's smile this time reaches his eyes, yet it's more cryptic as if he knows something nobody else does.
"Also I've seen you met Sophie here, she's our show. Aren't you?"
Sophie in turn can feel his fingers dig into her side, but she's felt this before. A long time ago, but it was something at one point she had gotten used to and in turn did not wince but finally calmed since the first time Oswald noticed her. Her smile is polite.
"We have, and I am. I'll be singing tonight for you all. Excuse me, Roman, I'm going to make sure the stage is all setup."
With one warning look that only The Penguin can see and his men, Sophie does just that. Leaving the men behind to make her way further into the club.
Typical. When it does come time to 'be the show', Sophie can see Oswald has not taken her advice and is instead seated at one of the many tables occupied by others in similar positions of him. She can make out a few mafia names. Lesser ones. Russian, Italian, and a few Triad members. No rogues though. Except maybe Victor. But he prowls around the back, away from his former boss.
----
The next time they meet it's been a total of 13 days since the incident. The meeting spot is not somewhere Sophie expects. The somber atmosphere of one of Gotham's larger graveyards gives it an eerier quality that she doesn't find amusing at all. As cliche, it can get for this afternoon. The weather, even though it's supposed to be Spring, has compelled her to wear a jacket over her slacks and sweater, a sentiment Oswald shares as his lone figure shows wearing a smart-looking peacoat.
"A graveyard? Does this have meaning to it?"
"No. I was planning on coming here today to see my mother, maybe my father. But we needed to talk so I figured to invite you to meet them."
His words slap her across the face, she feels lucky he wasn't turned towards her when he said those things to her. Things she feels underneath her skin, a boreing sensation she doesn't like. the agitation of emotions that should not happen between them, but probably mostly her. He's weaponized her feelings and emotions against her or it could be her paranoia. Yet only if she knew it was him who was showing more than he probably should have been. Mistakes he's made in the past that have come to bite him time after time, the mistake of trust. Of wanting connection.
"Hello, Mother. I've missed you."
Sophie observes Oswald quietly as he talks to the grave, his facial features show emotions she's never seen in him. It's almost as if she's spying on something private; it makes her guts churn and she wishes they were somewhere else. But... At the same time, she's honored in a way he'd want her here.
"I brought someone to see you. Her name is Sophie."
At the mention of her name, Sophie snaps out of her inner turmoil and looks kindly, yet awkwardly at the headstone. The name Gertrud Kapelput sprawled across it.
"Hello, Miss. Kapelput."
"It's pronounced Kapelput. Hungarian."
"Kapelput."
"Thank you..."
He appreciates when she corrects her pronunciation without any fuss, instead with respect to how it should sound.
And for a while, they stand side by side at the grave. The flowers he lays are Lilies, finally, however, Oswald turns away and makes his way slowly across the lawn of the Cemetary. A grimace on his face as he limps, he had foregone his cane when he should have brought it now that he thinks about it. Instead, he distracts himself with the woman trailing behind him.
"Why didn't I turn to stone?"
"I... I did not want you to turn to stone."
When he stops and turns to look at her, Sophie stops also. A little farther away but their gazes meet and something soft and glowing can be found in her eyes. It's not bright like the sun, the way he remembered when it petrified those around him. The eldritch horror of what happened around him almost two weeks ago, that look is not the one staring back at him. Instead, her eyes have a melancholy look to them, soft like the moon. Still, something fills him with terror to know she's capable of doing that.
"Was that it? You just pick and choose who turns and who doesn't?"
"Listen, I'm sure you have a lot of questions about... Magic. But this has caused a huge problem with me and Roman, it took hours to tell him you... Y-you had some sort of talisman or ward protecting you, which, I'm positive he doesn't believe me. In fact, I know he doesn't."
He watches as she bites her lip before letting her shoulders relax, willing herself to calm down.
"So what are you saying? He's going to-"
"I'm saying I'm with you now. He's keeping me away, figuring out what to do with me. So... It's just you."
"Am I supposed to be happy to hear that? You sound as if you'd rather align yourself with death itself, not me."
"Don't you understand? It's not just me on the line, I've got a business with people relying on me- And Roman... Black Mask will just put fire to the whole place WITH people inside it still. He doesn't care."
It's a battle of wills happening and Sophie knows it just as much as he does. She can almost feel the way he wants to curl his lip and say: 'it's not his problem', or something of that nature. Yet...
"I'm sorry. I should have left when you warned me."
She's floored. The honesty and sincerity he shows her would make her choke on her own spit if her mouth wasn't dry; the intimacy of the moment sends something up her spine. Yet it's the steel in his eyes that makes her believe him and she has to ask;
"Do you- Do you ever fear of giving too much of yourself away?"
Oswald doesn't answer her, instead, he puts his hands in his coat's pockets and sort of nods his head to her. A silent order to follow him as he turns away and they walk in silence again toward the other end of the cemetery. Sophie spots the car he was driven in yards away now as they make the journey across the vast lawn.
The part of the cemetery they do walk to is more ornate with its headstones. More grand. Morbid and beautiful.
"Elijah Van Dahl."
When they do finally stop it's in front of a grave that's much grander than Oswald's mother's. Sophie recognizes the name, it's one of the old lines of Gotham just like Wayne. Even if she was not from Gotham, she knew enough history of the rich, especially the gruesome way the Van Dah's had departed this world.
"This is where my father used to be buried."
"Used?"
The long pause between them feels stale, something dark comes over Oswald's face before he controls it and tries to sound not emotional. But he's not very good at it.
"Edward dug up my father and-"
"Please. Oswald. You don't need to continue, just to know someone went to that length is enough in itself. Yet, Edward Nigma is your...?" "Friend still. Yes."
Sophie doesn't know what to say to that right away, just knowing the unhinged quality those two had together was very- 'Interesting' at best. And if she did not know, or was not at least used to the unique qualities of the different personalities people around Gotham had she'd most likely be very put off.
Instead after another length of time she speaks.
"So... You're a Van Dahl?"
"No. Cobblepot. But I was once a Van Dahl for a brief period, until my father was taken away from me. Just like my mother."
There's hesitation in his voice, in his eyes, he won't turn to her fully yet. Rolling ideas around in his mind if he should even tell her some of his past, as who was she to him? Nobody except an ally, business partner... Maybe something more... He wasn't sure suddenly and painfully; it struck him in his chest and he feared he was having a heart attack. An old supreme feeling he hadn't felt since, well, Edward had smiled at him but then he knows how that ended up.
"May I ask what you mean by, 'taken'?"
"They were both killed. She died in my arms and him as well."
How does one reply to that? Sophie for her part can't say anything to that really. There are no words in the English language or even Greek ones she can think of. So she does what humans have done for thousands of years instead, the comfort of a hand. And sure, she probably should have just put her hand on his shoulder in a comforting manner but... Possessed and bewitched, she watches as if she was a third person in this situation: reach and take his hand.
Immediately she knows he goes to snatch his hand away, a snarl on his lips but then when they meet eyes he stops. It's not a soft stop either, it's more of a given-up gesture. He drops his hand back to his side but lets her hold onto his.
It feels awkward. Unnatural between them.
But it only makes Sophie determined to give some sort of comfort, so she laces their fingers together and holds him firmly in her grasp. And she knows he's blushing this time but it's not... It's not a cute blush it's the type that's pink and angry yet his expression shows as if he's fighting back tears. The bob of his Adam's apple, swallowing something large down, attracts her attention but she doesn't crowd him. She simply stands next to him and holds his hand.
"Thank you."
He manages to croak out.
"I won't hurt you."
What a strange way to respond but it brings with it suddenly the tightening of his fingers around hers. He participates in the hand-holding now and she smiles inside herself.

It’s late, but I just finished my first Ragnarök playthrough and I wanted to share my thoughts.
Firstly, this game is worth the hype. It’s a beautiful continuation of the 2018 game, and though that one felt big, this one is far bigger. The world itself is on a grander scale, the risks are higher, there are more allies to meet, old relationships to mend, some to watch go to ruin. It’s truly seamless.
I know cinematic, story-driven gameplay isn’t everyone’s forte (and I will be the first to say that I prefer story when I choose my difficulty), but this game had an absolutely fantastic balance of story and combat. The major fights were thrilling and really kept you on your toes, though I will say the smaller enemies you encounter such as the wretches or gulon or the grim (but especially the wretches) are a bit repetitive. Nothing like the trolls in the 2018 game, luckily — just nuisances.
Now, the characters — they’ve grown immensely. We watched the relationship grow and mend in the previous game between Kratos and Atreus, but in Ragnarök we watch it flourish. We start off seeing father and son proud of one another, and while there are ups and downs, we continue to witness their betterment. I’ve mentioned before that through-line of “be better,” and it’s really shown here as well. Once we get Freya on our side again, she continues to blow the player away. We have her as a genuine companion this round, but the grief and anger she feels toward her past comes full-circle in the end, and while it will never quite go away, she has an easier time breathing knowing Odin’s hold on her is no longer. My love for her grew, as did it for all the characters — old and new.
The story in God of War: Ragnarök is truly emotionally-driven and by far one of the most phenomenal games I have ever played. Heart-wrenching, beautiful scenes that make you sit and think, a deeper dive into lore, one-off comments that mean much, much more in the end…incredible.
To see Atreus’ growth within himself, discover who he is, who “Loki” is and will be, this little curious boy we once knew become a young man is truly seamless. His devotion to his father but also to himself in the end, and to the giants, is not lost on me. He will return, we will see him again, Kratos will see him again. Loki goes, Atreus remains.
And Kratos…where to start with him. I will say I came into this series with the 2018 game, so my knowledge and experience with Kratos as a character firsthand is that of the Norse telling. I haven’t ventured into the original trilogy, and I’m not sure I will, but if I do, I know that Kratos will be very different from the one I’ve gotten to know. Though I’ve read up on his past, seen a few videos, etcetera, I might remain biased. (Note that I also tend to play games out of order unintentionally; tftbl before the borderlands series, uncharted 4 before the original games).
In the 2018 game we saw glimpses of a scared, anxious father, not a god, once Atreus fell sick. In Ragnarök, we see more of the fatherly side come out. He trusts his son wholly and fully, he seeks to understand him, and he is open to what the world can teach him. He no longer seeks vengeance, he’s wise and sage, and wishes to, again, “be better.” And, more importantly, make sure his son will be prepared and better than he could ever be.
We only got three, but seeing a (somewhat) vulnerable side of Kratos in those dream sequences with Faye were so lovely. She has been his guide, a teacher without the title, and continues to walk the path with him just like she promised. I wish we had more time with her.
Coming right off a 2018 replay really puts into perspective how massive this game is. The previous one was homegrown: the mission being to scatter the ashes of Faye. In this, there is a war leaking into every realm, no one is left untouched by it, and we see what true evil, unmitigated power could be in the wrong hands. Ragnarök, regardless of how you see it, is a game about family in every way. Found, blood, convinced. Be better. Protect your family. Do what is necessary, not because it is written.
This is long, I know, and I doubt anyone took the time to read this, but I just needed to get my thoughts on the page while they’re fresh. I will, without any doubt at all, be playing this game again soon. And I do truly, truly, highly recommend. It is phenomenal.

9, 27, 40?
27. Which character do you feel “meh” about?
Tbh, like... a lot of them. A lot.
40. What character do you always recruit, no matter which route you are playing and why?
LORENZ!!! LORENZ!!!!!! If I had to pick absolutely one single non-DLC character to recruit and couldn't recruit anyone else other than the students I started with, it would be Lorenz. I will not let him die, first of all. Secondly, he is far too precious to me to not recruit.
For DLC it's Yuri, and for non DLC it's Lorenz. Purple boys, purple boys, purple boys!
Did 9 last since it's more lengthy.
9. What is your favorite scene in the game (can be in the main story or a support convo)?
I have a lottttt. OTL
I'll name a few since I'm not sure which one I like most.
One is the BL post Lonato map with this conversation:
Tumblr media
Firstly I like that he actually gets pissed off and snaps at Byleth. That's something the other lords don't do and it becomes a huge zzzz fest when there's so much of a lack of real emotion toward Byleth. Byleth being the player's proxy ended up with a lot unnecessary worship from the other characters, and though Dimitri also falls into that as literally every playable unfortunately does, he has the most tension and aggravation with Byleth that is out of genuine emotion. In the timeskip he doesn't put Byleth before literally everything ever and actually pushes them away. In this scene he was so angry and distraught that he outright snapped at Byleth for the first time. He catches himself, but he had a very realistic reaction to the options you're given to be able to say to him, where his first reaction is to snap regardless of the person but because of the situation.
Also Chris Hackney's performance eats my entire heart alive.
NEEEEXT!
The scene when Dimitri finds out after Edelgard being the Flame Emperor, after the cutscene. Again the voice acting work REALLY sold that scene. It helped with the intensity of the emotion and made all the lead up about Dimitri up to that point so much more worth it. Like, yes he could've been mad... but could he have been Chris Hackney mad?
NEEEEXT!
AILELL! I really loved the scene when Rodrigue told Dimitri what's what! That wasn't a man trying to reason with his king. That was a dad trying to steer his son back onto the right path and scold him as needed. It's funny, because Rodrigue tells Byleth later that he doesn't have it in him to scold Dimitri, but he's the goddamn only one who did!
NEEEEXT!
The scene with the man who admitted to having a hand in the Tragedy of Duscur. Dimitri's anger is very notable, but he has so much growth showing in that scene. You can tell he's fuming, but he still composes himself to be fair and understanding. Most people would hear something like that and send them to their death, but Dimitri holds off on that because he wants to consider the actual conversation before deciding anything.
At this point he doesn't want to kill people unless absolutely necessary, and he'd rather consider all his options for what to do before he takes this man's life - something he can never take back and has learned the hard way after taking many lives during the war. If the guy he had arrested was truly doing it for the welfare of Faerghus in his mind, that's something Dimitri also always keeps in mind as the prince/king, and he understands that sentiment. If the man was being genuine, Dimitri is able to understand it was not a wholly malicious act and doesn't want to immediately respond maliciously. I think it also takes a lot of self control to be able to do that given that his own father and best friend died because of something this guy was involved in.
That scene wasn't something that seemed to stand out to many people, but I love the growth Dimitri is shown to have there.
