For any Life is Strange fans eagerly waiting for Double Exposure's release, may I recommend you a game titled This Bed We Made to pass the time?

Like Life is Strange, This Bed We Made is a 3rd-person story-driven mystery game set in Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the late 1950s. You play Sophie Roy, a young woman who works as a maid at a hotel and who has a penchant for snooping, who discovers a makeshift dark room in one of the guest rooms containing photographs of her. Determined to find out more, her investigations lead her to uncovering the mysterious, intimate, and tragic lives of the hotel guests.

The game also features a large cast of queer characters (about 7, I think) including Sophie, a bisexual woman who can be in a relationship with either a man or woman, depending on player choices. In addition, the story examines some of the struggles and oppression that queer folk faced during the era, as well as issues around mental health/trauma and domestic abuse.

It's a short game (will probably take you about 4-6 hrs on your first play through, depending on how thorough you are), but the mystery is still really intriguing throughout. It's available on Steam, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the Life is Strange series and story-driven games in general.

A Vancouver parent has launched a proposed class-action lawsuit against the makers of Fortnite, saying the popular video game is designed to be "as addictive as possible" for children. In the lawsuit filed in B.C. Supreme Court on Friday, the plaintiff — identified only by the initials "A.B." — says her son downloaded Fortnite in 2018 and "developed an adverse dependence on the game." The game, with 400 million players worldwide, is free to download and play but sells things like character costumes and dance moves for money.

Fun little fact I discovered while putting away the game post-completion: the french language booklet packaged in the canadian version of Shadow the Hedgehog (which was included in canadian game copies as a requirement at the time) reuses the bilingual box's front and back art! Seems like it was a quick job to remove the 4KidsTV advert on the back... Even though it's featured on the english booklet anyways, despite the channel not being available in Canada. (Sonic X played on YTV instead.) Oops!
