then angel would have a few consecutive weeks of totally self-destructive behavior on a whole new level than anyone else at the hotel had ever seen. maybe he even moves out of the hotel and back in with val, having given up not only on himself and his grand delusions of getting clean and redeemed, but also his "stupid school-girl crush" on husk.

this turned into something way longer than i intended lol, but my point is that since angel is gonna experience heartbreak we know it has to involve husk, and with husk's habit of guilt-tripping angel... i think it will need to blow up at some point and be seriously discussed.

i also think we need to see the 'it gets worse before it gets better' side of recovery bc obviously it's unrealistic that now that angel is a serious resident of the hotel, his addictions are just gonna magically disappear. and i think that's gonna cause some misunderstanding and turmoil with not only husk, but also our main cast.

Ellie wanted nothing more than to pretend the last two days of her life didn’t exist.

“For me?” You beamed. Ellie noticed two things right away: you had tears in your eyes, and no one had ever done something like this for you before. It was so small in terms of gestures, but Ellie’s heart swelled with pride as you thanked her.

She watched you take a bite, before you closed your eyes and gave her a fake moan. “This is so fucking good. I needed this.” 

“I’m glad.” She gently nudged your shoulder with hers. 

“Ellie… I don’t mean this to be rude, but why are you here?” You asked reluctantly. She could tell you weren’t trying to be rude so she didn’t take any real offense to it. If Ellie was being honest with herself she couldn’t exactly place why she was here either. All she knew was that she didn’t want to be at Cat’s. She also knew that she wanted to hang out with you, but the more she sat here the more she realized she should’ve asked you.

All you did was nod and take another bite of your scone. “What does it mean for us?”

another thing i was thinking while writing this (legendary by now lmao, i SWEAR i will post it) essay of mine, is that for me neil's suicide was less spontainous that most people think.

im not saying he was thinking that if idk, he'd be forced to put an end on his acting, or really just art in general, he'd end his life. but we see him getting more couragious and bold in truly expressing himself, so i think these 'rebellious' thoughts of, for example running away would cross his mind.

okay maybe i just don't know how to describe it, but i want to say that after he tasted the sweetness of (basically) all of what he has discovered, he would NOT want to ever come back. he wouldn't be able to imagine his life the way it was before. and i think, also bc his artistic, new side was so bonded with his relationship with todd (they've met in the time it started, they were unfolding togheter, u know), he couldn't see life BEFORE this said relationship

i think it wasn't 100% spontainous, but im sure he wasn't expecting that he'll be in the situation he was in. maybe all of these thoughts of 'possibilities' would be the kind of thoughts that you read but not think about much, you have other things in mind. those few months we see are really hopeful and happy for neil, even with his father in the background. he finds his passion (AND LOVE FOR TODD OFC), persues it, shares it and just discovers himself. so i doubt he was actually thinking this can be taken from him so radically in split seconds (after the moments he was prob the happiest in!!!)

lastly, speaking of the moments before his death, i believe neil was 'over' the initial shock and strategic thinking of ways out. idk what was in his head, did he think that he CAN'T run away, that he doesn't have the courage, that it's already 'over' (remember it's never over guys!), idk. it's heartbreaking but i think, that he must've felt kind of 'disappointed'. that he felt the need to do it, that he was trapped and all of his dreams were gone for him. even if he was quite aware of his family situation, i think he never ACTUALLY thought his wings can be cut down (deep down he was hoping after his father sees him in his passion he'll change)

that's A LOT of babbling (such a cute word???), and i've said 'think' far too much but i hope you see my point

the whole team is very very supportive of them though, even if it's long distance because they find a way to make it work.

also best believe she gets spence an actual iPhone as a gift so that they can facetime when either one of them is away

ugh but if it's a really sad song for example "decode" by sabrina carpenter (which is absolutely heartbreaking lyrically but i highly recommend u listen to it) he gets all sad because he knows exactly what it's about and remembers when you first wrote it

Rise of Red Rewrite

Have I watched any of the other Descendants movies? No. Do I plan to? No. But Rise of Red took over my Shorts and people I follow got me intrigued so I watched it. And I hated it. There were parts I liked, but for the most part is was ridiculous and dumb in a semi enjoyable way, but the longer it went the worse it got. The ending was the worst because it went out on such a whimper, so I wrote how I would have written the movie, and I even kept most of the first third. Be warned I wrote this in like two hours after I finished the movie and it is very stream of consciousness.

We can keep pretty much everything up until they time travel. Except for Bridget and Ella’s interactions. They need to be WAY more bitter

When they travel into the past they do have their little fight over the watch and they run into merlin and pretend to be transfer students. We can even keep their interactions in the classroom with their moms and the lead in to “Life is Sweeter”

But we need to establish that Bridget isn’t liked by people because she’s from Wonderland. She needs to act a bit more “mad” (make her very particular about how things should be and have her be loud and not understand social norms [oh no that’s just autism]). Also show that Charming and some of his friends think she’s weird and kinda make fun of her for it (but they’re still more than happy to take her sweets)

We also establish this is why Ella doesn’t like Charming and other royals

After the flamingo scene we get Ella offering to go with Bridget (we might even watch her get rejected by some guys) and the girls deciding they need to talk to Ella about Uliana

Okay wow I’m realizing we’re keeping more in this movie than I intended. Anyway, everything from Ella breaking the vase to them discovering Uliana plans to turn her into a monster is kept in.

One thing we add is they can see some of the pages in the vision, one of which is a love potion cupcake. 

We then get them the next morning (and establish the drawers are magic and give them clothing to wear) finding out about the forbidden cookbook (mentioning it was forbidden because of the love potions) from Bridget, as well as Bridget crying because Ella has been grounded and can’t go to Crowncoming

Red is uncomfortable with her mother crying and has to leave. Before she leaves she sees a picture of Bridget with her mother, who Red has never seen before. Bridget’s mother looks incredibly foreboding

Chloe thinks Red is cruel for leaving and comforts Bridget. They get the idea to bake some things for Ella and her family to convince them to let Ella go

Before Chloe leaves with Bridget to make the cookies Red and Chloe have their fight about what’s the right thing to do, where Chloe calls Red just as bad as her future mom for wanting to steal, but Chloe is going to save the good Bridget all on her own, and maybe then Red will be a little nicer. She then leaves with Bridget to take the cookies

This goes bad, Ella’s Stepmother doesn’t take kindly to it and her stepsisters belittle Bridget and Chloe. Ella ends up yelling at them to go and there’s a heartbreaking breakup-esque ballad about kindness and being good doesn’t get you everything and Bridget leaves in tears. During this I also imagine Ella says something about never going to the dance and never loving Charming, which scares Ella

While Bridget is crying, thinking she has lost her only friend, who should appear but MORGIE (because he’s the only new character with no connection to anyone from the main series he has to earn his keep in this movie). He offers to go to the dance with Bridget and Bridget enthusiastically accepts. Of course this is a ploy by Uliana

Red has her little break in and when it seems to much for her Chloe swoops in to help her get the book. They do, but Chloe suddenly gets very cagey because she wants to open the book, meanwhile Red thinks that’s a stupid idea. They squabble over it, but Chloe finds she can’t open it. In the scuffle Red ends up opening it which hits Chloe like a ton of bricks that RED had good enough intentions that the book would open for her, but CHLOE did not

As they are staring at each other Uliana steals the open book out of Red’s hands and thanks them for getting it for her, her and her crew run off and Red and Chloe start to really fight with Chloe blaming Red and Red blaming Chloe. Merlin ends up walking in on them and CHloe ends up telling him the truth to prove that that should have always been what they did, that that was the good option. Merlin shocks her by saying he already knows

Well, he already knows they’re from the future. He tells them he won’t help them stop what’s supposed to happen. Not only because there are rules but also because he doesn’t want anything to happen to them. He even promises not to punish them, since they aren’t technically his students anyway. He tells them to go back to their time and figure out their own way to stop it in the present. Neither listen and run off

They both go to sleep tired and angry. Red wakes up the next day to find Chloe already gone. Red goes to try and find Bridget and warn her from taking anything from Uliana

She finds her getting ready for the dance and is shocked that she’s going with Morgie part of Uliana’s crew. They argue about it because Morgie is a VK and that Uliana is clearly planning something and for once Bridget gets actually angry comparing Red to her mom.

She says her own mom is always so paranoid and controlling telling her what to do and what not to do and she tries to understand it’s because she loves her, but it is so hard; when everyone hates her for being from Wonderland and everyone thinks she’s weird and Merlin Academy is the ONE place where she feels free to do what she wants and even then she is always giving away things for other people and letting them take from her and she just wants this one thing, is that so much to ask?! 

Red leaves in shock and decides she needs to make things right between Ella and Bridget, because that was something that they ended up taking away from her with their time travel shenanigans (and for Chloe as well)

Meanwhile Chloe has snuck back into the VK’s lair in the Black Lagoon to stop them from baking the monster cupcake. She tries to fight them one of five which goes…about as well as you could expect. All the VK’s get a chance to shine and Uliana is having her tentacles fight Chloe whilst she bakes.

Chloe tries to implore to Morgie to see this is wrong and Morgie looks a little shameful. Uliana tries to force feed her one of the monster cupcakes, but they realize that it’s time to get ready for Crowncoming so they let her go. Chloe is pissed, but determined to figure out a way on her own to defeat them. 

Meanwhile again, Red goes to Fay (Fairy Godmother) and asks her to help her get Ella to the ball. Fay tries to say she can’t, because her magic never works

Red says she thought about that, she pulls out a tray with misshapen red cupcakes on it. They’re supposed to help with bettering magic, but Red’s not a very good baker. She hopes it works because they’re made with love. Fay tries one and finds it actually very delicious, and wants to try. 

They go to Ella’s house and Ella asks if Red is here to ruin her life any further, but Red says the opposite and reveals Fay. Fay manages to make Ella a dress and carriage and promises she’ll be the fairest at the ball.

Red is happy for her and then Fay says Red will also be the fairest at the ball and gives her her own beautiful dress to wear (it probably has punk touches, but is altogether more traditionally feminine). They get in the carriage and ride off. 

Chloe is already there dressed in a prince outfit and watching over Bridget who is already there with Morgie. She ends up talking with her father at the dance and telling him off for thinking Bridget is weird and for thinking she is weird for dressing like a prince and having her sword on her. It’s a bit of a come to knowledge moment for her

Fay, Ella, and Red all show up together and as Chloe sees them and Charming she gets an idea. While she goes up on stage we see that Chloe is uncomfortable with the idea of seeing Bridget and Bridget herself looks uncomfortable.

When Chloe gets up on stage she commandeers the set and starts singing “So This is Love”. Charming hears this and decides to ask Ella to dance, who actually accepts

Bridget and Morgie also go off to dance, but Red walks up to the stage slowly while watching Chloe singing. She then comes up on the stage and turns it into a duet of “So This is Love” and “Life is Sweeter.” At the end of the song Red and Chloe hug and make up

Ella and Charming have their dance where they fall in love, but at the end Ella catches a glance of Bridget and turns to him, saying that she really likes him, but she’d prefer it if he apologized to Bridget for everything he’s said to her, which he agrees to do. 

Meanwhile Morgie stands up to Uliana and tells her he’s not going to let her poison Bridget, especially over something so petty, and he’s going to have a fun night with his date, which pisses Uliana off

Ella and Charming come over (Morgie probably gives them privacy) and they talk. Charming apologizes to bridget and Bridget is briefly catty about Ella saying she couldn’t/wouldn’t go, but then they both apologize to each other and make up. Ella even offers Bridget a cupcake off the table as thanks

Morgie, Red, and Chloe all see this and try to stop Bridget from eating it, but it’s too late and she begins to turn into a monster

Uliana comes over laughing and wraps her tentacles around Morgie and Ella and congratulates them on helping her with her prank

People start to scream/laugh and point at Bridget which causes her to freak out. Even though Morgie says he tried to stop it and Ella had no idea, Bridget can’t hear them and throws the table with treats at them and everyone starts running

Red and Chloe try to help, but Merlin grabs them and using the time machine sends them back, saying they need to fix this in the present. They end up back in the present (still in their Crowncoming clothes), find out the time machine is destroyed, and run to try and stop Red’s mother one more time, just like Merlin said

Red reveals to her mother that she was the one who kept vandalizing her kingdom and portraits and that she won’t let her rule Aurodon like this. They have a short battle between mother and daughter (while Chloe fights off some of the guards) with a musical reprise of “Love ain’t it” but insteads it’s “Love is it” see I’m clever lol

Bridget almost wins, but finds she can’t hurt her daughter and this lets Red really talk to her, saying she understands what she went through, but there’s still time to fix it, there’s still time to heal and be good again. Bridget relents and Red uses her Crowncoming dress (since it was made by the Fairy Godmother) to fix the Fairy Godmother’s wand

For the most part everything is good and wraps up. We get a good redesign of older Bridget when she leaves for Wonderland and Red herself has a slight redesign

Decided not to confirm Red and Chloe as a couple at the end of the film, but the subtext is there. I felt one of the most important throughlines of the film was Red is not as bad as she thinks and Chloe is not as good as she thinks. I also changed the whole time travel plot because I HATED that they just changed time all willynilly and everything was the exact same.

the day went on and you ate good food, sweets and drank good drinks. you didn’t drink anything alcoholic but shinichiro and his friends were almost drunk from how much they already had

you were not so close to shinichiro and his friends but you giggled at how they tried to cover shinichiros mouth whenever he began speaking with ‘you know’ while looking at you

but after a long while, you had to leave to prepare for your flight. you once more expressed your thankfulness and so bid farewell to all of them.

“wait”

a voice you couldn’t resist said, making you stop in the hallway from puttin on your shoes

you warmly said, your eyes expressing nothing but warmth

he was obviously overwhelmed by your presence so close because he was already breathing hard against your cheeks

you couldn’t help but breathe loudly against his too

the moment you two broke the kiss, a playful string of saliva dangled from your two’s lips

you couldn’t take to see his eyes right after that so you layed your head on his shoulder, not before leaving a kiss on his cheek

you left a soft kiss on his collarbone as well as behind his ear and you stopped there

“i’m in love with you too”

you softly whispered in his ear, visibly twitching at your breath against his ear

while baxter is romantic and devoting, loving, and kind.. you're much more used to cove. waking up to breakfast and/or coffee already made, sometimes even brought to you in bed. sandy towels in your bathroom, the sound of the filter from his fish tank.

you're used to his shy affection, his ramblings, his fidgets.

you're used to seafoam green hair sprawled on your pillows, his arms tight around you, keeping you in bed.

but looking back on it. you're also used to him fighting for his place in your heart. pushing himself and planning lovely dates, spoiling you. loving you.

seeing how you still yearn for another man, but kisses you anyway. sees how your eyes have a far away look sometime, but asks if you are having fun.

or you'd hardly call his name in bed, maybe even slip up and call him baxter when he's worshipping your body... but he finishes you anyway, comes back to you in the evening still.

but worse, even though you're always stuck in your daydreams about what could've been with baxter, what could be your life now. what if cove was baxter. even though you were painfully aloofed, cruelly so, he still told you he loves you. still cried when you left...

truly, baxter isn't a bad lover. but now, you lie in this bed. the weight of your actions, cove's happy and dreamy face burning your vision when you close your eyes to sleep, his touch burned into your skin, and his face and voice, the sight of his tears, his ruined expression, just as raw as the day you broke it off, even when he finally came for the last of his stuff.

your family and friends' reactions still weigh heavily on you. the emptiness of some of those relationships, or the missing piece of what used to be.

you should be happy. but the cold reality is that your fantasies were not as great as they turned out to be.

you clung onto that teenage delusion, the soul breaking heartbreak when he left. when he cooly tried to break it off, then cruelly left you. even though his scowl burned deeply in your memory back then, you also imagined him regretting it, and coming back for you.

and now that this is your cold reality... even though you may know now that you were wrong. in many, many ways. you better make it work before you decide these feelings for baxter were fleeting, too flighty and conditionally born out of heartbreak and yearning for what could've been and what if, before you try to run back into the arms of your family, friends, and certainly cove's.

there are severalllll and i have answered something like this before but i am willing to go into detail! it’s crazy how much i can nerd out about them but i’ll tryy to keep things brief lol

@formulaforza writes absolutely beautifully; when i write i think of emulating her. she has a knack for being able to write these little slivers of romance that you otherwise would only know if you experienced it in real life. she writes love/loss/heartbreak very lovingly and puts so much care & craft into what she puts out… seeing the process of her work is a privilege i hold close to me as her friend <3 reading any of mack’s work feels soo poetic and she injects comedy into the most like mundane moments to make everything tie together so much better

@silverstonesainz was the first person i read on f1blr and she remains the person whose masterlist i binge the most to this day bahhahaa her way with words is so beautiful and she weaves through emotion so well — her angst will make u cry but also her fluff will make you shut off ur phone to collect urself and breathe easy again. her knack for detail means u can imagine exactly what she’s trying to convey and simultaneously make it ur own…. also such a joy to scroll through her blog and its cute coordinating themes :)

@schuvries’ dogs of war series is a true example of crazy world building and you will never tire of rereading each chapter with the immmmmmense detail and level of writing that goes into it… she’s also so good at making reading an immersive experience via memes/wips/edits/art that she re/posts like what. pinch me because her talent makes the universe feel so real

@oconso’s work fell off the talent tree and hit every branch on the way down — she always finds a way to hit the spot with fluff and smut hahaa her drabbles are short and sweet in that u will find urself in a constant reread loop and ur eyes will be bloodshoot and ur jaw will be tired from smiling/squealing

Sure sure, Daniel has a bratty, sassy, flirty ‘Jersey’ side—but folks seem to forget just how sweet, earnest, naive, and innocent he was in the KK trilogy. One of my favourite scenes is in the first film at the start, when Daniel sees a dog in his flat complex and moments later fetches water for it—without being asked! What an angel. Anyway, this sweet innocence is probably why Terry had him totally blindsided for a while in KK3, and did it with such ease. And because Silverusso has always had my heart, let’s not forget this clueless, adorable Danny is exactly the one that piqued Terry’s demented, decades long obsession. That sweet and spicy combination is just so winning—along with the looks. I don’t blame Terry for being totally overwhelmed by the boy, it was inevitable. Terry Silver is the very definition of whipped. Lol.

Sure, his temper can override that sometimes, but even though he has attitude, he remains observant and so empathetic that he feels guilty about everything and can't sleep unless he apologizes.

That's a sensitive soul who never wanted to fight anyone and ended up constantly under attack. But look how much everyone loves him and will do anything for him. HIS LOVE SAVES PEOPLE. His forgiveness. He's truly a light.

Not to get off track but, another favorite innocent moment of mine is in kk2 when they're getting on the airplane and Daniel goes, "Airsick? What's airsick?!" :U

Again speaks to his innocence at that time. Maybe more Jersey street smarts than book smarts but the poor baby went through like a lifetime of maturity in one year because of the events of all three movies.

A little heartbreaking that CK Daniel is so... world weary. He's quieter. He's more observant. Meaning, he's more calculated in every interaction. Ten times smarter than when he was a kid.

I definitely blame Terry for that. He broke Daniel's heart. And according to Jessica, it took him some time to recover. (Although we know it was not completely)

Luckily for everyone, Daniel is such an angel that he never lost his sweetness or his instinct to help others even if he is cautious. He's willing to forgive but he tried his damndest to become people and business savvy as to never get hurt again.

He's intelligent. He's refined. He's a leader.

The irony that the parts of Daniel that Terry liked best he helped destroy. That trust and innocence. The irony that Terry was denied the forgiving nature of Daniel he knows is there because of his own actions.

Terry remembered that sweet, naive boy and imagined being forgiven right away and was legit shocked at Daniel's anger. Not necessarily at the rejection, but at Daniel's angerrr.

Daniel's comment about Terry being in a padded cell really struck a nerve.

I will say this - both men would not have such hurt and anger after 35 YEARS if there was no love involved at all.

The reason Daniel could forgive everyone else was because he never loved them. They were never friends.

He loved Terry. He mourned someone who never existed. And Terry wouldn't care so much about being forgiven if he felt nothing either.

Then Terry meets Daniel and he's tiny and sweet and can barely meet Terry's eyes.

They spent months together. Terry's not stupid, he quickly learned the truth. He just desperately wanted to make Kreese happy.

And then years later, we see that Terry doesn't believe Kreese about the past anymore. He scoffs and rolls his eyes!

And if Terry was being honest with himself, he'd admit that he wanted to be a sensei(but couldn't because of his father's business) and loved having his own student. I and others think he was a little hurt when Daniel didn't want to be in Cobra Kai anymore and quit.

There is nothing wrong with her she is normal

Before dying she was a friendly little weirdo, but her mannerisms were still a bit robotic and she was a little too intense at times to really be approachable. Her quirks made her peculiar to most people, and endearing to some. I imagine her as kinda shy and reserved back in the day, when she was more of a blank slate and not quite sure what her place in the world is. Overall: socially awkward, can be intense and a bit hard to talk to, but sweet in her own way. Quirky 😙 She was slowly easing into being human; by the time of heartbreak she had even started cracking shitty jokes 😌

After coming back from the dead, she acts more “human” in many ways - notably, she’s learned how to be an asshole…! She carries herself with more bravado and confidence that’s initially faked but gradually becomes real. During the time between her 2nd Farm escape and the beginning of Rebirth, Alina threw all her effort into conditioning herself and practicing to act like a “real human”, effectively changing or burying all the traits that set her apart before. Truly a rebirth! She reaaally doesn’t wanna get caught again

The biggest change would be her boldness in social situations. While she might seem much more at ease talking to people now, she's really just better at hiding her discomfort. Nobody comments on the change in demeanour because they assume that the increase in assertiveness/confidence is a good thing - best not to jinx it! She’s just come out of her shell a little, that’s it.

She’s still blunt and insensitive at times, but what’s important is that she learned how to be a really good liar! So good that she does it without noticing; everything she does is to deter suspicion. She makes jokes and teases to diffuse the situation when needed, she puts herself in the role of a washed-up hero past her prime to appear nonthreatening, she dresses a bit goofy and is laid back, showing little of the intensity she carried before. Ain’t no way she’s the newest villain currently beating up the rangers on live television 😙

first off i’ve always thought of joel as a rly charming boy. he was the typa kid your aunt’s or grandma would fawn over at the family gathering, how handsome he is, how sweet he is, how he’s sure to be a real heartbreaker (must’ve pissed tommy off sm, i can imagine the look on his face)

however i don’t think that joel was a heartbreaker (like EVER), he talks a big game and shit but underneath the teasing exterior he’s secretly glancing at his crush every now and then watching to see if she’s watching (boy was smitten)

after sarah came along and after his wife left he probably had a few years of nothing but baby clothes and trying to juggle parenthood with bills and the fun shit. if i had to guess man probably didn’t have a good fuck in three-four years ngl

as sarah got older i’d say that’s when he started mingling more (said this already but it was with GREAT help from tommy that he managed to finally go out to a bar and have some fun)

i feel like he’d just have that charm y’know? handsome and sweet, not pushing any boundaries yet sending subtle hints when he sees that he can (+THAT ACCENTTTTT). yeah it probably took him a couple times to figure out how and what to do, but i picture young joel as a very socially intelligent person (is that weird??? just me??) so i feel like it wouldn’t have been too difficult for him to get a girl’s number every once in a while

but i don’t think he took it farther than that. maybe he had a few flings but nothing serious, would always have to let the poor woman down after he sees that he can’t take it anymore (wait did i say that he wasn’t a heartbreaker before) it wasn’t because he had nothing better to do, instead he had too much; his little baby girl whom he didn’t want to hurt, a stressful job (plus he probably thought he wasn’t really good enough for any of em)
