When I think about Steve Harrington and I try to think about like, his One True Skill, or his Vocation, or the Thing He’s Meant to Be Doing, like we like to do for characters sometimes, I’m always stumped. Like oh, he’d be a great kindergarten teacher, or he’d own a diner or he would be good at art… like everyone has this one ideal career path or whatever.

But I look at Steve Harrington and I see Jerry Gergich.

Hear me out. Guy’s got a 9 to 5 job, Monday to Friday, never stays late, never works weekends. Has benefits he can add his family to, steady paycheck. Paid vacation days. Wakes up at the same time everyday to make his family breakfast, gets out of work in time to help the kids with homework and make them dinner.

So Steve can sit at his desk at work and sign his forms and schedule the park activities and listen to people complain about getting sick after drinking water from the sprinklers, then he clocks out at five pm.

He takes the lunch he packed and drives to the garage where Billy’s waiting with a matching bag, and they eat together at one of the parks he wrangled the budget for because he’s a Harrington and he’s still a bit of a bitch and he can argue with the mayor until the man sweats through his shirt, and it’s not fair the children on Hawkins don’t have anywhere safe to play after the town’s been through so much. Billy laughs at stories about Steve’s coworkers and at the guy who got stuck in the playground equipment, and tells Steve about the cars he’s working on that day.

After work, Steve swings by the grocery store and picks up the milk they ran out of that morning, grape juice for Billy and this and that for dinner, and he goes home to the little house he shares with Billy. He’s almost done with the food by the time Billy gets home.

Billy hovers around Steve while he cooks, distracts him with kisses and squeezes and by stealing food before it’s done, and this is the center of Steve’s life, this is his Grand Life Aspiration.

Not a career or a huge job, but a job he can leave behind and not think about once he crosses over the threshold of his home, and that will never keep him from this, from his family. From Billy.

(His boss is still played by Nick Offerman)

So there’s a trend going round where you draw Miku inspired by your own culture and normally I just sit those out bc i’m from England but then the image of her covered in fake tan with the full chav makeup and sloppily bleached blue pigtails popped into my head and i almost threw up laughing. i am so absolutely utterly scared that my insane grandfather in his 80s who runs miles every morning is going to leave me a bird in his will and i am especially scared he is going to leave me a large cockatoo named "captain hook". hook has been trying to make me his child bride since i was like 6 years old and every time i see him again which has only been a couple times with decades in between hook is like "you. it's always been you. ever since you were born i've known we were meant to be" captain hook you are a bird and i am a LESBIAN and i don't WANT an eternal sentinel captain HOOK!!!!!!!

I don't really think it's fair to dismiss the idea that that guy might have been framed for killing the CEO as like an unfounded conspiracy theory when NYPD has a proven history of planting/fabricating evidence on people. in 2011 there was a massive investigation of the NYPD and hundreds of cases against people were dismissed after a former police officer testified that they literally have a name for planting evidence on people: flaking. you cannot be out here acting like considering the possibility that cops who do this shit under normal circumstances might possibly also do it when they're under intense global pressure and scrutiny is the same as republicans thinking democrats run a secret pedophile ring in the basement of a pizza restaurant

in general i dont think fandom tattoos are a bad idea but i think u need to at least give yourself like a two year buffer from the end of that piece of media before you commit. like if someone told me "yeah im obsessed with hazbin hotel rn so im gonna get a hazbin hotel tattoo" id be like woah okay maybe put a pin in that idea for later. but if someone told me "yeah i read homestuck in its prime and i still love it so im gonna get a homestuck tattoo" id be like well fair enough its been like eight years. if you still like it now you'll probably still have fond memories of it in 20 years. you do you.
