I think that will still make people think it's sex-related. But follow your bliss, Thea. Don't let them take it from you. Yeah. That's fair.
I'm glad you didn't click the link. Ethically sourced boobs are good.
That's great.
Yeah, you're right. Because mouths are sexy? Should I say, like, "put my meat inside your body"? I try. I mean, I want to. I mean, I wish everyone can be included in all things. Except, like, the sad stuff. I don't wish people would be included in that.
Yeah, I know. I mean, I guessed. I mean, I had notifications set up for your posts because I thought you were gonna be in Ireland forever and I just wanted to still be in the loop with your life like you're still here, and not there. And then you were hacked but I thought that meant you were back? But I guess that just meant there were like, boobs to look at. I didn't click the link because I didn't know where the boobs were coming from? Like? Is it ethical sourcing of boobs? And then you started posting normally and it wasn't about Ireland anymore so I just assumed it meant you were back here. What happened to Decla Why did you
I missed y
I made a normal amount of meatloaf while you were gone.

⊱Drawing Stars Around Your Scars | Oliver Queen⊰
Pairing: Oliver Queen x reader
Warnings: injuries and mentions of blood
Summary: Oliver would do anything to regain your trust. . .
________________________________________________
“Good Night, Doctor Y/L/N.” Ella, one of the nurses at the nurses’ station waves me goodbye and I return the gesture with a tired smile.
I just got out of an eight hour surgery and I can’t wait to get home. I make my way through the busy halls of the hospital and down to the parking garage without changing out of my scrubs.
It’s freezing outside and when my fingers curl around the cold leather of my steering wheel I shiver.
I pull out of the underground parking garage and make my way home.
The streets of Starling City are busy, even at this time of day, which is why it doesn’t take long for me to be stuck in traffic.
I sigh and turn on the radio, humming along to the Christmas songs that are playing before my phone rings.
I glance at it and smile, answering the call on my car’s hands-free. “Speedy, what are you doing up this late? It’s a school night.” I tease, but my smile quickly vanishes and turns into a concerned frown when I hear the girl crying softly on the other end of the line.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. Are you still at work?” she say quietly.
“No, I’m not. Are you okay? What’s going on?” I ask, drumming my fingers on the steering wheel, worried.
When Oliver vanished at sea five years ago, Thea and I grew extremely close. While she grieved over her brother, I grieved over my best friend and partner in crime.
We grew so close in fact that she’s like a baby sister to me now and whenever she’s in trouble, or feeling down, I’m usually the one she calls since Moira and Walter are both emotionally unavailable.
Thea doesn’t answer right away, so I promt her softly. “Speedy? You still there?”
“I—Yeah, I’m still here. It’s just. . . Ollie. He not home, again! And he’s acting like a complete stranger. I don’t even recognize him anymore it’s just—“ she breaks down in tears and I make a u-turn the next chance I get, heading toward the Queen’s manor outside the city.
This isn’t the first time she’s broken down over Oliver’s return and how different he is compared to five years ago.
“C-Can you come over?” she hiccups and I tell her that I’m already on my way.
The traffic thins out once I’m out of the city, staying on the phone with Thea the entire time until I pull up outside of her family’s manor.
The security guard at the gate greets me with a polite smile and let’s me in without hesitation.
I get out of the car, the gravel beneath my feet crunching as I walk up to the front door, which swings open before I get the change to ring the doorbell.
Thea basically jumps on me, pulling me into a hug, and cries into my shoulder.
I hold her tight and waddle us inside, away from the cold and let the door close behind us with a gentle click.
“Thank you for coming,” Thea whispers, her grip around my shoulders not letting up.
“Of course. Anything for you, Speedy,” I reply just as quietly, rubbing my hands over her back.
We stay like that for a few minutes, enjoying each other’s company before she pulls back, her eyes roaming over my outfit.
“You just got off work, didn’t you?” she asks, guilt scrunching up her face. “You must be so tired. I’m sorry for making you come here.”
I wave her off and squeeze her shoulders. “Hey, no. Don’t be sorry. I am tired, yes, but you’re more important than sleep,” I joke softly which earns me a small smile.
Thea sighs and uses the sleeve of her sweatshirt to wipe away the remainder of her tears. Then, she eyes me hopefully before asking, “Have you had dinner yet?”
I shake my head and she pulls out her phone, waving it around for emphasis.
“Do you want to order some takeout then and watch a movie with me?”
Tomorrow is my day off, so I don’t mind staying with her, especially because she’s home alone and it seems like she could use some company right now.
“Sure,” I agree easily, “but I need a shower and some comfy clothes.”
Thea nods adamantly and pulls me upstairs and into her room.
“Use whatever you like in there. You know the drill,” she says gesturing at her en-suite bathroom. “I’ll go and find some clothes for you.”
I thank her and smile, going into the bathroom and stripping out of my scrubs before stepping into the enormous shower.
A knock on the door lets me know that Thea’s found me some clothes and she cracks it open just enough to reach inside, placing some clothes on the floor before closing the door again.
I finish quickly, shutting off the water before drying off and putting on the fresh clothes.
I frown when I pull on the pair of gray sweatpants, figuring that they can’t be Thea’s because she’s a head shorter than me and the sweatpants are oversized, even on me.
The same goes for the sweatshirt and when I pull it on and a familiar cologne surrounds wafts around me, I know why.
These are Oliver’s clothes.
I shiver involuntarily and can’t help but bury my nose in the fabric of the sweater, taking a deep breath.
I’ve missed this smell, I’ve missed Oliver, but I haven’t really admitted that to anyone since he came back.
We’ve always been best friends, but since we were teenagers I knew that my feelings for him weren’t solely platonic.
I never acted on them though because I knew we could never work. While he was a millionaire playboy, I was a nerd, passing all my classes in school with flying colors and getting into med school before even turning twenty.
I also hated how he hooked up with anyone he had a chance with, and I swore to myself a long time ago that I’d never let myself be just another one of his conquests.
Now though, things have changed. Oliver has changed and I have, too. We’re both grown up and it seems like he’s left behind his playboy lifestyle.
Every time I see him nowadays, he’s calm, well spoken, and a true gentleman. He no longer drinks or takes drugs, and I’ve caught him shamelessly staring at me quite a few times now.
It’s something he didn’t used to do, and it gets my hopes up that, maybe, he secretly feels the same way about me as I do about him, but then he goes and blows me off time and time again, without answering any of my texts or calls.
It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even agree to hanging out with him any more because I know he’ll leave me hanging anyway, but still, every time he asks me to dinner, or offers to buy some coffee my heart flutters and I feel my cheeks grow warm.
“So, what do you want to watch?” Thea asks when I exit the bedroom, throwing myself on the bed next to her.
“I don’t care,” I say honestly, checking my phone before leaning back against the headboard.
“Okayyy.” Thea hums in though. She scrolls through some movies on her TV before settling on Elf.
The opening credits start rolling and I get even more comfortable, patting Thea’s head playfully when she rests it on my shoulder.
Fifteen minutes into the movie, our food gets delivered and we eat on the bed in silence, continuing to watch the movie.
Thea eventually falls asleep and I sigh, turning off the TV.
I get off the bed and drape the comforter over her, chuckling softly when she frowns in her sleep.
“Nighty night, Speedy,” I whisper before leaving her room.
I make my way down the dark hallway toward the grand staircase, ready to go home, but the sound of breaking ceramic makes me stop in my tracks.
I squint in the darkness, straining to hear where it came from before deciding to investigate.
The sound most likely came from Oliver’s room and because he’s not supposed to be home, I’m curious to see what caused the slight commotion.
Maybe the Queens got a cat I don’t know about?
I highly doubt that, but then again, Thea’s done some crazy things over the last couple of years, lashing out every chance she got to mask her grief.
I slowly open the door to Oliver’s room and peek inside, freezing when I see a hunched over figure by one of the bedside tables.
They’re picking up what looks like shards of a vase, stacking them neatly before getting back to their feet.
A quiet grunt escapes them and once they’re upright with their back turned toward me, I recognize them, or should I say him?
It’s Oliver in his vigilante suit and when I take a closer look I notice he’s clutching at his side with one of his hands.
He’s hurt.
I turn on the light with an annoyed sigh and put my hand on my hip, watching him spin around with a dagger in his hand.
“What are you doing here?” he asks in his fake deep and gravelly voice and I just raise a challenging eyebrow in return.
“Drop the act, Ollie,” I say calmly, watching with mild amusement as his eyes widened.
“I— What are you—?” he stammers before his shoulders curl forward and he whispers, “How did you know?”
He takes off his hood and even though I know it’s him underneath, I still feel a chill run down my spine when his exhausted eyes meet mine.
I’ve known he’s the Green Arrow ever since he returned to Starling City. I mean, how could I not know?
All the sneaking around? His sudden interest in his family’s business? The constant bruises and cuts on his face?
And let’s not forget how he physically changed over the last five years. Where he used to be a thin, athletic kid he’s now a broad-shouldered hunk of a man and I’d be lying if I said it makes him less attractive.
“C’mon, Ollie,” I scoff, crossing the room to look at the injury on his side. “You do know who you’re talking to right now, don’t you?”
Oliver hangs his head and stays silent, allowing me to pull up his bloody clothes to get a better look at his side.
The wound isn’t too deep, but it will need stitches and judging by its frayed edges I’m guessing it’s a graze from a bullet.
“Do you have any medical supplies?” I ask. I have a small emergency kit in my car, but I’m too lazy to get it right now.
Luckily, Oliver nods and points at the bedside table where he was just crouching, picking up the shards of the shattered vase.
“Take off your shirt and lay on the bed,” I command without looking at him. In times like this, my doctor-ly instincts kick in and I don’t care who my patient is. All I’m focusing on is getting the wound cleaned and stitched up.
Oliver does as I say and once I’ve gotten everything I need from the bedside table, I turn to him, sucking in a breath when my eyes land on his exposed upper body.
It’s covered in scars and a tattoo I didn’t know he had and I can only imagine what he went through to look like this.
Thea did say that over twenty percent of his body was covered in scar tissue, but actually seeing it up close makes my stomach twist.
Watching me with a knowing look, Oliver gently wraps his fingers around one of my wrists which brings me back to reality.
He smiles reassuringly, silently telling me not to worry about what’s happened and I return the smile albeit a little weakly.
I take a deep breath and square my shoulders, getting to work on cleaning the wound and the area around it.
It continues to leak blood, no matter how many times I wipe at it and after a while I just give up, getting right to stitching it up.
“This might hurt,” I whisper as I press the needle against Oliver’s skin, but he not so much as twitches when the thin metal pierces his skin.
I work in silence, focusing on the work at hand before Oliver’s head rolls to the side to look at me directly as he says, “I’m sorry, Y/N.”
I hum, not taking my eyes off my hands and brush off his words, thinking he’s referring to right now, making me stitch him up and care for him, but then he continues.
“I’m sorry for blowing you off so many times over the last couple of weeks,” he says quietly. “And I’m sorry for cutting you out of my life right before getting on the Gambit with my dad.”
I clench my jaw and finish the last stitch. I stare at my hands and take a deep breath.
I tried to forget about that.
The days before getting onto that cursed yacht with his father, I called Oliver out on his hypocritical behavior and his playboy attitude which lead to him basically ending our friendship.
I cried for days, missing several important college classes, but then the news of the Queen’s Gambit sinking sobered me up and I forgot all about our falling out.
I cried some more then, this time for a different reason, but as time went on I grew numb to it and put all my energy into med school.
“It’s fine. . .” I whisper, moving to get back to work, but Oliver grabs my hand, making me look at him.
“No,” he says with furrowed eyebrows. “I was such an asshole and you were right. You’re always right and I’m really sorry it took me this long to apologize .”
I chuckle weakly, not liking the sudden tension between us and avert my eyes. “I’m not always right,” I argue,
Oliver squeezes my hand, getting me to look at him again. “Well, maybe not. . .” he says with a small smile. “But you were right about what you said and— again— I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to admit it. I felt backed into a corner when you called me out on my shit and I didn’t know what else to do other than lashing out at you.”
“Ollie—“ I try to stop him, but he cuts me off by squeezing my hand again and continuing.
“Y/N. I’ve been through. . . a lot. . . over the last five years, but I’ve also had a lot of time to think and—“he bites the inside of his cheek and scratches at his eyebrow nervously— “and you’re honestly the only constant in my life. The thought of you and sometime’s even Thea kept me going when I felt like giving up and I swore to myself that if I ever got the chance to, I’d make things right between us. . . I’d do what I should have done a long time ago.”
I gulp and try not to pull my hand from his. “What are you talking about, Ollie?”
He can’t be saying what I think he’s saying, can he?
Oliver sits up, grimacing slightly when the stitches on his waist strain against the movement, and swings his legs over the edge of the bed so he’s sitting next to me.
The heat radiating off his body makes me shiver involuntarily and when he places my hand against the scar on his chest I gasp softly.
“I don’t want to spend another day worrying about what ifs and maybes, so I’m asking you now, Y/N, would you do me the honor of going to dinner with me? As in like, a date, you know?” He stumbles a bit over the end of his sentence but his question takes my breath away nonetheless.
My brows furrow and I feel my heart clench at the conflicting feelings running through me at the moment.
“I don’t— I don’t know,” I admit.
Even though this is all I’ve been hoping for since we were kids, I can’t help but have doubts about his intentions.
What if he hasn’t changed as much as I think he has? What if he’s still a narcissistic playboy?
I don’t know if I could stand being used by him, so I shake my head and move to back away.
Seeing the doubt on my face, Oliver’s eyes soften and his hold on my hand tightens ever so slightly.
“Please, Y/N this is not— I’m not. . .” He trails off, biting his lip in thought.
Then instead of trying to explain himself, he takes a deep breath and closes his eyes briefly.
“This scar,” he says quietly, pressing my hand against the uneven patch of skin on his chest for emphasis, “is from a guy named Kovar. He. . . tried to stop me from leaving Lian Yu and pressed the hot tip of his gun against my skin, right here.”
My eyes widen, not only because no one knew he wasn’t alone on that island, but also because he’s actually telling me what happened.
Since he came back, he’s barely spoken of his time on Lian Yu and the fact that he’s willing to open up about what happened makes me trust his intentions.
He moves my hand down his chest, against a long, gnarly looking scar that follows the downward slope of his ribcage right over his stomach.
“This one is from when I first stranded on the island. There was this guy, William, or Billy, Winter—“
“No, Ollie, stop.” I cut him off, shaking my head. “You don’t have to tell me any of this just to prove yourself to me.”
It’s clear he’s struggling to put into words what happened if his overly tense muscles are anything to go by and I don’t want him to feel like he’s forced to share his trauma in order to get me to trust him again.
“But I want you to know,” he argues weakly, letting go of my hand.
I shake my head and move closer, tracing my fingers along the edge of the scar.
It makes Olive twitch slightly and I smile at the effect I have on him.
“And you can,” I assure him, skimming my fingers over his warm skin before brushing over the scar on his hip that looks suspiciously like a shark bite.
What the hell happened to him on that island. . .
“Just not now. Not all at once and not when you’re so obviously not ready to talk about it yet,” I continue, mesmerized by the way his muscles twitch beneath my touch.
I continue exploring his skin, raising an eyebrow at the tattoo on his chest before skipping over it and touching the scar on his shoulder.
They all look like they never healed properly and I get a chill, thinking about the possible infections that could have killed him, but then my train of thought is suddenly silenced when Oliver brushes his lips against my own.
Not realizing how close I’ve gotten while inspecting every little detail about him, I pull back with a surprised squeak and place a hand on his chest to stop him from closing the distance between us again.
“Shit,” he whispers, bringing a hand to his lips. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have—“
“It’s okay,” I say with a soft chuckle. I take his hand away from his mouth and lace our fingers together. “Just. . . Take me to dinner first.”
Oliver’s cheeks turn red, a rare sight, and I squeeze his hand before straining to press a kiss to his forehead.
“Right. Sorry.” He meets my eyes shyly and I smile at him when he tries to suppress a yawn.
It makes me yawn as well and Oliver gets to his feet. He kisses my knuckles and lets go of my hand.
“I need a shower,” he explains before nervously scratching at his eyebrow again. “Will you still be here when I get out?”
I melt at how vulnerable he sounds and nod, slipping under the covers of his bed. “Only if you don’t take too long.”
Oliver’s eyes widen comically and he springs into action, gathering some clothes before rushing into the bathroom.

hey adler just wondering your thoughts on the big ol' polycule of kevkatheaaron
um... i will be a disappointment, i'm sorry 😭
i'm not a fan. i've read fics, and enjoyed them, but they are very much not my go-to ship nor go-to polycule. i think part of it is that if Kevin is in a relationship with a woman, i can't imagine anyone else but Thea. a) because i wouldn't wish that man on anyone else but someone as strong as Thea and equally a drama queen and b) i don't much believe in Kevin dating a woman, period. personal opinion! that's all!
oh and c) to me Katelyn is for Aaron or Thea, no one else. god knows Thea x Aaron x Katelyn would NEVER work, so, impasse for me. i'm so endlessly careful if i have to separate Kate and Aaron bc i love them both sm and i want to do right by them, so to me if it's not worth it, then i don't really ship them with other people? contrary to Kandreil or Kerejean, i feel Ke
JO I JUST SEEN THE THEA INCLUSION.
THIS CHANGES THINGS.
ohohohoho how interesting!!!!
hold on a second lemme screw my head back on right.
Thea / Aaron...? Thea / Aaron... Hmm. Vibe is: divorced gays who separated after realizing their homosexuality but they fall in love w the same 2 people (Kev and Kate) and turns out these bitches bi & they just not attracted to each other, so now they got shared custody of the other 2 hotties. they would be kind of hot together tho... oh lord jo what have you done!
omg?
yes. just yes. i'm on board. i'm so fucking on board i just got my boating license and i'm navigating this ship offshore into the pacific ocean.
Kevin: That's Thea, my gf
Kevin: That's Kate, Thea's gf
Kevin: and that's Aaron, Kate's bf
me: And who are you?
Kevin: I'm Aaron's bf.
yes yes yes. this polycule is perfectly balanced, as all things should be. I WISH U AN ENDLESS SUPPLY OF SWEET DREAMS JO. THANK YOU BESTIE. I AM HAVING A BLAST (and a stroke)

Famous/Important Women?
I'm trying to make a list of notable women in history (mostly for fun, partially to use against misogynists who think men did everything), and kinda not wanting to just look up a list online.
So; I'd like anyone who sees this post to add to the list. Even if all you can remember is a name and basic details, that's enough (I myself am mostly operating off memory, and then looking up details to fill in the blanks). If possible though, a date of birth/death and what they're most known for would be great, since those are the details I'm focusing on right now.
I'll add all new people/details to a list here on Tumblr so we're all on the same page info-wise.
Edit; pinning this post both so I don't have to scroll millions of miles and so it's easier for people to find (I should probably be pinning my intro post instead but whatever).

Arwen -♡- Spencer | ABC Fluff
(gif made by khat)
A - Admiration (what do they admire about each other?)
Arwen just melts whenever she can witness how deep Spencer cares about things. From his random rambles about the care he goes into learning, or just about people in general. And how he is ashamedly himself. It makes her sad to witness it change the more he goes through things, but she reminds him daily how proud she is of him.
Spencer loves seeing how strong Arwen is for everything she goes through, getting to watch how she can get back up. He feels honored when she allows him to be there too when she breaks down, getting to see all these sides of her.
B - Body (favorite body part?)
Arwen - his hands and chest
Spencer - her shoulders and chest
C - Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)
Very much needed, especially after bad cases. Spencer having a bad day or a case is getting to him? Arwen will hold him close to her and let him listen to her heartbeat. Or they would spoon with Arwen being the big spoon. Help him feel secure and safe.
when Arwen needs it Spencer is more than happy to hold her for however long she needs. And neither are allowed to leave the bed without some prime cuddling time.
D - Dates (ideal date?)
With their job it’s a little hard to find time to go on dates, most of it is after getting back home like going out for dinner, catching a movie, or even just finding somewhere quiet like the library or park. Occasionally it's ordering pizza while on a case and eating at the hotel.
E - Emotions (how do they express emotion?)
Spencer and Arwen are the king and queen of keeping shit in. Especially with negative emotions. It’s not until it becomes too much for either that they'll blow up with everything they are holding in. Both have had the talk of needing to tell each other stuff or when emotions are troubling either of them, but it hasn't stuck yet.
F - Family (do they want one? If they do, when? And what does this family look like?)
At some point, yes they have a family.
Arwen said for the longest time: "If Spencer can assure me I can't have twins, then we can have a baby genius." And Spencer never could, especially since Arwen does have twins run in her family so that increases their chance.
Fortunately when Arwen and Spencer do begin to start their family, they have only singleton pregnancies. And Arwen makes really sure that there is only one heartbeat so there isn't any surprises. They do decide to have at least 2 so their oldest wouldn't need to be alone.
They have 2 daughters before adding a "surprise" son to the mix.
- Clementine "Clem" Reid-Valentine
- Theodora "Thea" Reid-Valentine
- Leonardo "Leo" Reid-Valentine
G - Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving?)
They cherish anything either give to each other. Arwen's favorite part of giving Spencer anything is finding where he will put it, she thinks she's bad at gift giving because of how much thought Spencer puts into his own whenever he gives to her. Makes Arwen nervous to give him anything when she does, but he seems to like anything she can give him.
H - Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)
Love holding hands, when on cases or at work they won't just to keep being professional. But when they can Spencer always grabs for her hands and interlock their fingers, and Arwen loves to play with Spencer's fingers and just trace them over them.
I - Injury (how would they act if either of them got hurt?)
Spencer is a mess if Arwen is hurt. He can't sit still and can't help but think of every possibility there is. Someone may need to help him come back to earth so he doesn't spiral too far.
For Arwen, she is a complete mess too. She starts preparing for the worse case scenario there is. Sometimes if the team are there they'll need to help her sit still and slow down her panic.
J - Jokes (do they like to joke around or play pranks? How does that play out?)
If Spencer is pushed to he will. Which Arwen will, not enough he'll be terribly mad but occasionally she will do harmless ones. She expects him to return the favor in some way. But it's not something they do a lot. Derek does it enough for her.
K - Kisses (how do they like to kiss?)
Almost kiss each other like it's the last time they can. Arwen always makes sure Spencer gets one at least once a day, if she isn't able she makes sure to give him two the next day, which doesn't happen often for how much either like to kiss each other.
They might have been late to briefing cause of it.
L - Love (how do they show/express their love?)
Both leave little things at their desk or bedside table. Arwen will sometimes leave little treats for him with a sticky note of some joke she looked for online, refilled his coffee or also left a water bottle for him.
Spencer lets her borrow his books, loving to listen to her talk about it with him, leave notes in her own romance books for her to find when they go on cases or on her desk when he goes in early in the morning.
M - Memory (favorite memory together?)
Arwen’s is when he first kissed her. He was so nervous and she couldn't figure out what was happening until he kissed her. His face was so red after he pulled away, her heart and stomach couldn't settle down, she kissed him again and it became more eager and not as nervous and shy anymore.
Spencer’s is when he was starting to ramble and when he realized he was doing it, he started to apologize and stop, but Arwen stopped him and made him continue. Genuinely looking interested instead of trying to be nice or anything.
N - Nicknames (what nicknames do they call each other?)
Arwen - Baby, Darling, Honey, Genius Man
Spencer - Baby, Honey, Sweetheart, My Love
O - Obvious (what’s it like when they fall in love? How is it for everyone else?)
Arwen became like a school girl with a crush when she realized how much she liked him, especially when someone caught on what was going on. Crashing into things, losing track what she was saying, and refusing to be alone with him for long. She denied it for a long time cause she broke her rule of not falling for her co-worker, but it was extremely obvious to everyone and they had to encourage her to say yes to Spencer when he did get the courage to ask her out.
P - PDA (How do they feel about pda? Are they shy or shameless?)
Spencer isn’t that big on pda, kinda shy but also wanting to keep it private. The most either will do in front of anyone is press a kiss to the cheek or hold hands. But Arwen is the one who will kiss him in front of the team when they are at work.
Q - Quality Time (how do they like to spend time together?)
Reading in the same room or to each other, watching shows or movies together, cuddling or kissing on the couch or bed. Just soaking up each other’s presence.
R - Rhythm (what song reminds you of them?)
Spotify playlist about Arwen and Spencer's relationship
S - Secrets (how open are they with each other?)
Like what I said in “emotions”, they are the king and queen of keeping stuff in. Neither says anything until one finds out, it becomes too much, and then they need to talk about it. It’s honestly the thing both constantly need to work on and the source of a lot of their arguments.
T - Time (how long did it take to get together?)
First time? A year and were together for 3 months before Arwen got scared of her feelings and broke up with Spencer.
Second time? It wasn’t until 2 years later she asked him out. Apologizing for how she treated him. Next time she got scared and Spencer noticed the pattern’s like last time they were together is when he stepped in and made her not give up on this, not let her fear take over.
U - Upset (how are they when either are upset?)
Arwen tries to be there for Spencer, listening to anything he needs to say or just hold him if he needs it. If he just wants to be alone she tries to listen to that one, but that's hardest for her to do cause she doesn't want him to shut her out.
Spencer tries to do the same thing and just be there for her. The best thing he does when she's having an anxiety attack is when she gives him a worry is he asks what the percentage of that worry happening and giving her statistics. That seems to work wonders for her.
V - Vaunt (do they show each other off? What are they proud of?)
With friends and family, absolutely. Love showing how much they love each other and talk about how proud they are with each other with everything. Despite any teasing thrown their way. With their job they have to be discrete, Arwen wears her engagement and wedding ring either in her pockets or as a necklace. Spencer keeps his in his pocket.
But either will take the chance to talk about how proud they are of each other.
W - Wild Card (random fluff headcanon)
Arwen has found the quickest way to get Spencer to go to sleep is to play with his hair. He will fall asleep in minutes. It's commonly seen on the couch on the jet, Arwen running her hand through his hair as he uses her lap as a pillow, completely passed out.
X - X-Ray (how well can they read each other?)
Fairly well, Arwen can tell when things are bothering him or when he’s excitedly holding something back and Spencer can too. Especially when Arwen is getting scared or an anxiety attack is coming.
It's the problem of getting out of either of them for what's bothering them.
Y - Yes (how would they propose?)
They both did it.
She felt ready for that step in their relationship, and felt they were in a space to do that. And they have talked about it in the past, to the point Arwen thought it was time they start making it a reality.
She got a ring and after a couple weeks of planning and getting up the courage to finally ask him. She decided after they got home from a case, not able to wait any longer when to ask him. And it was a happy thing to do to (hopefully) lift up both their spirits. So when Spencer sat down, she sat down with him, and started the speech she had been practicing.
Apparently Spencer had been planning the same and pulled out his own engagement ring for her. Arwen couldn't help but laugh, feeling good to laugh after not being able to for weeks. And both said yes to each other.
Z - Zen (what makes them feel calm?)
If they aren't together on a case they will call just to check in, settle any anxiety might be creeping in. Reaching for the other's hand and squeezing their hand. Watching comfort shows/movies or reading their favorite book to the other.

The Imaginary World of Feminist Thinking
OR
It’s all about how children are brought up – don’t blame men or society and don’t give praise to Ms Pankhurst, who was simply one more anarchist.
Cleopatra, (Greek: “Famous in Her Father”) in full Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator (“Cleopatra the Father-Loving Goddess”), (born 70/69 BCE—died August 30 BCE, Alexandria), Egyptian queen, famous in history and drama as the lover of Julius Caesar and later as the wife of Mark Antony. She became queen on the death of her father.
Deborah, also spelled Debbora, prophet and heroine in the Old Testament (Judg. 4 and 5), who inspired the Israelites to a mighty victory over their Canaanite oppressors (the people who lived in the Promised Land, later Palestine, that Moses spoke of before its conquest by the Israelites); the “Song of Deborah” (Judg. 5)
Boudicca, also spelled Boadicea or Boudica, (died 60 or 61 CE), ancient British queen who in 60 CE led a revolt against Roman rule.
Boudicca’s husband, Prasutagus, was king of the Iceni (in what is now Norfolk) as a client under Roman suzerainty. When Prasutagus died in 60 with no male heir, he left his private wealth to his two daughters and to the emperor Nero, trusting thereby to win imperial protection for his family. Instead, the Romans annexed his kingdom, humiliated his family, and plundered the chief tribesmen.
Emma of Normandy was the wife of two kings of Anglo-Saxon England – Æthelred the Unready (reigned 978–1016) and Cnut (reigned 1016–1035) – and she was the mother of two other English kings. She was a key political figure in her own right and a major force in the turbulent politics of 11th-century England.
St. Joan of Arc, byname the Maid of Orléans, French Sainte Jeanne d’Arc or La Pucelle d’Orléans, (born c. 1412, Domrémy, Bar, France—died May 30, 1431, Rouen; canonized May 16, 1920; feast day May 30; French national holiday, second Sunday in May), national heroine of France, a peasant girl who, believing that she was acting under divine guidance, led the French army in a momentous victory at Orléans that repulsed an English attempt to conquer France during the Hundred Years’ War.
Science
Caroline Herschel (1750-1848)
Caroline Herschel was born in 1750 in Hannover, Germany, but moved to England with her brother, the astronomer William Herschel, in 1772. She became William’s general assistant and helped him by writing down his observations and helping him produce reflective telescopes. Caroline occupied herself with astronomical theory and mastered algebra and formulae for calculation and conversion as a basis for observing the stars and managing astronomical distances. Caroline joined her brother when he was appointed royal astronomer at the court at Windsor and served him as his scientific assistant. This gave her a salary of 50 pounds per year.
Mary Somerville (1780-1872)
Mary Somerville's first scientific investigations began in the summer of 1825, when she carried out experiments on magnetism. In 1826 she presented her paper entitled "The Magnetic Properties of the Violet Rays of the Solar Spectrum" to the Royal Society.
Literary women brought up in a nurturing household.
Jane Austen, (born December 16, 1775, Steventon, Hampshire, England—died July 18, 1817, Winchester, Hampshire)
Jane Austen was born in the Hampshire village of Steventon, where her father, the Reverend George Austen, was rector. She was the second daughter and seventh child in a family of eight—six boys and two girls. Her closest companion throughout her life was her elder sister, Cassandra; neither Jane nor Cassandra married. Their father was a scholar who encouraged the love of learning in his children. His wife, Cassandra (née Leigh), was a woman of ready wit, famed for her impromptu verses and stories. The great family amusement was acting.
George Eliot, pseudonym of Mary Ann, or Marian, Cross, née Evans, (born November 22, 1819, Chilvers Coton, Warwickshire, England—died December 22, 1880, London), English Victorian novelist who developed the method of psychological analysis characteristic of modern fiction.
Evans was born on an estate of her father’s employer. She went as a boarder to Mrs. Wallington’s School at Nuneaton (1828–32), where she came under the influence of Maria Lewis, the principal governess, who inculcated a strong evangelical piety in the young girl.
The Bronte sisters [brother Branwell also in the picture] were the world’s most famous literary family and Haworth Parsonage, now the Brontė Parsonage Museum, was their home from 1820 to 1861.
Patrick and Maria Bronte had six children (from oldest to youngest): Maria, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Branwell, Emily, and Anne. Soon after Patrick had been appointed to a parish in Haworth, Yorkshire, his wife died, leaving the parson and the young children behind.
Christina Rossetti, in full Christina Georgina Rossetti, pseudonym Ellen Alleyne, (born Dec. 5, 1830, London, Eng.—died Dec. 29, 1894, London), one of the most important of English women poets both in range and quality. She excelled in works of fantasy, in poems for children, and in religious poetry.
Christina was the youngest child of Gabriele Rossetti and was the sister of the painter-poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
Art
Catharina or Caterina van Hemessen (1528–after 1565)
Like many of early modernity’s women artists, Catharina van Hemessen was born into an artist family. Her father, Jan Sanders van Hemessen, was a prominent Mannerist painter in Antwerp. While she did paint a few religious-themed works, for the most part, Catharina van Hemessen was a portrait artist.
Artemisia Gentileschi (1593–after 1654)
Like her painter father Orazio Gentileschi, Artemisia Gentileschi was one of the Caravaggisti, followers of Caravaggio. She was born in Rome, where she was trained. Over the course of her career, she also worked in (at least) Florence, Naples, Venice and England.
Louise Moillon (1610–1696)
Born into a family of artists—her father and her stepfather were painters and art dealers, and her brother was a painter—Louise Moillon specialized in still life painting, especially of fruits and vegetables. Her patrons included members of the French nobility, as well as Charles I of England.
Mary Beale (c. 1633–1699)
Mary Beale, née Cradock, was one of the first professional female artists in England. She supported her family with her commissions and as an art teacher. Primarily a portrait artist, Beale painted many of the courtiers of Charles II. Her husband Charles acted as her business partner. His detailed notebooks provide a unique record of his wife’s daily activities, as well as of her business practices and expenses. Beale herself is author of Observations, an unpublished piece of instructional writing on painting.
Lady Gordon
[British Painter, 1772-1867]
Elizabeth Barrett Browning, née Elizabeth Barrett, (born March 6, 1806, near Durham, Durham county, England—died June 29, 1861, Florence, Italy), English poet whose reputation rests chiefly upon her love poems, Sonnets from the Portuguese and Aurora Leigh, the latter now considered an early feminist text. Her husband was Robert Browning.
Christianity
According to Dr. Paul Wesley Chilcote in his 1991 book, John Wesley and the Women Preachers of early Methodism, “Women have proclaimed the good news they discovered in Christ since the earliest periods of the Church’s history. The women preachers of early Methodism hardly represented a new phenomenon in the life of the Christian community…”
There was always plenty of opposition over different ways of preaching for both men and women – all part of Christianity.

🏹 Oathbound devotee/worshiper of my beloved Patron, Divine Mother, and Queen; Mistress Artemis-Diana Potna Thea
Praise to divine Mistress Artemis, architect of my soul and eternal keeper of my heart.
She of the wolves and of the deer. She of the hunt and of the fire. Swift running archer who haunts the forest wilds and roams in the night. The cresent moon, her silver bow. She who dwells at the mountain peak. She of the Earth and the Heavens.
Bestower of death with her showering arrows. Strong-voiced worker from afar who whispers, “Kneel, or be knelt.” Beautiful empress who bears sword and reins on her golden throne. She of the lake, the marsh, and the harbor. Far-shooter. Light-bringer. Dawn-breaker.
Divine virgin, pure and revered, who soothes. Celestial midwife who nurses the young and patron of childbirth. She of the hymns and pastures. Singer of divine songs and leader of the dance. Sweet-garlanded lady of clamors. She of the white bird, the toad, and the berry seed. Bright goddess.
Beloved and loving high priestess of the bear's jaw, whose hymns only beasts can sing. Willow-bound and royal of cedar, walnut, and laurel. Immortal torch-bearer. Ancestral guardian who stands before the door.
Goddess queen of beasts and nymphs. Maiden. Death. Animal. Feral child. Holy mother. Praise be to Lady Diana, deliverer and savior.

headcanon: dating dinah drake pre/post crisis would include:
a/n: i was originally writing a fic but i had the biggest mental block with it so i did it as a headcanon instead (i’m still no good at writing these)
requested by @kittytigerwood: “hopefully this makes sense, but maybe something with the reader dating dinah before crisis, and then finding her in 2040, 20 years later, and how it affects them/their relationship. while i like headcanons, you can make it into a longer fic if it’s easier to write. thank you!”
warnings: mentions of death/loss

i do not give you permission to repost or translate my fics on any platform - likes/reblogs are okay and are much appreciated
Being Laurel and Sara’s sister meant that you had grown up with Ollie, Thea and Tommy. That also meant that you had been a part of OTA since the beginning.
When Sara died, you were broken but when Laurel died...you were lost. She was everything to you and you knew that she wanted her legacy to continue so you had made it your personal mission to find someone to carry that mantle.
You and Curtis ended up learning about a woman in Hub City.
Though there were a few teething problems, specifically her killing a person, Dinah finally came around and decided to join the team.
You became very close with Dinah.
She was so wary not to do or say the wrong thing about being the Black Canary because she didn’t want to hurt you.
After the explosion on Lian Yu, you both confessed your feelings to each other. Hunkering down in a flightless plane with debris falling all around you has a habit of bringing up last words and hidden feelings.
You were both good together. You rarely fought, leaving that to the bad people you sought after instead.
The only time your relationship had been tested was when after Laurel had killed Vince.
Though E2 Laurel was not your Laurel, she was still Laurel Lance nonetheless. An idea not shared by your girlfriend.
When she had tried to kill Laurel, you had both decided to end the relationship. You were both on opposite sides so there’d have been no way it would have worked.
You guys became closer again when Laurel and your father had been kidnapped by Diaz. You were frantically running around, trying to do something to help find them but every lead you had was a dead end.
Dinah finally took you aside and placed her hands on your shoulders.
“We will find them. I promise you. You have to believe in your heart that they will come back to you.”
“Heart. Oh my god, Dad has a pacemaker. We can track him. You’re the best, Dee.”
You had kissed her then pulled back and began to apologise.
She had smiled, placed a soft kiss on your cheek and brought you in for quick hug.
“Don’t apologise. I’ve missed you.”
Though you’d found Quentin and Laurel, your father had been shot and later died in hospital.
You had broken down in Dinah’s arms who tried to do her best to comfort you. She had removed herself from you when Sara came over to hug you as you both mourned the loss of your father.
When Dinah had her throat slashed and ended up in the hospital, you spent every waking moment by her bedside, refusing to leave in fear that you’d lose another person you loved.
After Dinah found out she had lost her Canary Cry, she went into a downward spiral but you reassured her of her worth and told her how strong she was without her Cry.
When Crisis happened, you had both been running around trying to find a way to save Oliver but to no avail.
After the world was restarted, Jonn had restored your memories alongside everyone else’s and you all mourned Oliver together.
After the funeral, you remembered waking up to find Dinah no longer beside you.
You immediately went to Laurel but the two of you could find no record of her. Scared that something terrible had happened, you hailed the waverider and asked for Sara’s help.
After a month or two, Sara finally found a trace of Dinah in 2040 and immediately told you and Laurel.
You had both gone to the future and found Dinah in a bar. You had never seen her this happy before. Of course when she was with you, she was happy, but aside from you, she was entirely surrounded by darkness.
She was singing as she played the piano. And as usual, you were enchanted by her voice.
Dinah had only sang to you a couple of times. Once when you started dating and a few more times when you were mourning your father. She had realised that her voice soothed you and allowed you to focus on something other than the pain.
When she had finished, you had clapped alongside everyone else and then you both reunited with a tight hug and a passionate kiss.
She had explained how she had gotten to the future and you both decided to help Laurel with her side mission of recruiting Mia.
After successfully saving Bianca Bertinelli, Laurel decided to give you some alone time so you could talk to Dinah.
You sat with her in her apartment and had a few drinks that led to a drunken kiss and then more...
You were both laying in her bed, your head against her chest, playing with her curly hair.
“What are we going to do, Dinah?”
“I don’t know, baby. But I like my life here. It’s a fresh start for me. No one here knows who I am and I like that. I can finally be rid of all the mistakes I made.”
“Am I one of them?” You had whispered.
“No, definitely not. You’re one of the few good things in my life. Being here has been good but something was missing. And that something was you, Y/N Lance. I want to ask you something...”
You had never seen Dinah so scared as she was in this moment so you began to worry as your mind wandered to all possibilities.
“Dinah, what is it?”
“I know you’ve got everyone back home again, like Quentin and Tommy but I was wondering if you would stay here with me?”
“Dinah Drake, I love you and I can’t believe you thought otherwise.”
“Is that a yes?”
“Of course, it’s a yes, you doofus!”
You both kissed and laughed. It was the first night, in a long time, where you had both slept soundly. Dangers no longer lurking in the background.
After you both decided to stay in 2040, you found yourself living a much brighter life. Whilst Dinah regularly sang at her bar (and you being heads over heels for her every time she did), you worked as a bartender at her bar.
The both of you also built up the Canary network (with some help from E2 Laurel) and you couldn’t help but feel you were making your sister proud.
You stared at the newest recruits in the bunker, looked over at Dinah who gave you a nod of approval.
“Let’s get to work, Canaries.”
