Henry's words brought a surprising feeling of amusement to the new queen and that was almost enough so a shadow of a smile could transform her features. Luckily, Helena caught herself on time and instead of a smile, she just nodded once, slowly, then pretended to be particularly interested in a newly blossomed flower. She couldn't help but wonder what exactly was his opinion about the women of his court, but that wasn't a fitting conversations for two complete strangers. Instead, Helena brought the flower closer to her and inhaled. "They are not so bad. Not enough to scare me away, just... overwhelm, I guess. I like my quiet." But what she would've liked more would've been to create her quiet. Once her husband showed that he did not intend on continuing with his day after a few pleasantries were out of the way, Helena let go of the blossom and stood a little straighter, eyes fixed on some of the elaborate details of his clothes, rather his eyes. After all, she still had a role to play and there was no harm in letting Henry misjudge her still. "You did that for me?", Helena lifted her eyes a little, just enough to try and guess the expression on his features. "What I meant to say was, thank you, Your Highness. Now that you've mentioned it, I am getting hungry." And a little truth mixed in with her words wasn't all that bad. In fact, it helped a lot. Not to mention that now, Helena was a little curious too to see what it was that he had asked to be brought. The gesture still mattered, even if the new queen had no way of knowing what exactly to do with that information and where it fit in her worldview and particular task.

it’s probably because a pre-confession C writes MC’s name over and over in a piece of paper to have some peace of mind at night, also the rivals/enemies aspect of course. and M basically is a direct authority figure (unbeknownst to the MC) who has a big say in how the house of styx functions 🤭

【Antebellum/AMV】Psycho Killer

Happy Independence Day guys!! Hope you all enjoy this!

Like I've said the theme of this amv is probably: humorously(?) compressed simple antebellum history (1812-1861) group portraits into 4 minutes. So most scenes are basically related to historical facts, and the numbers there are the years of the events. However I'm historically illiterate in antebellum era, and this was something I decided to make before I even understood antebellum people lol. I hope there aren't any big mistakes x

While playing this song on repeat it suddenly struck me that everyone in the antebellum era was a god damned Psycho Killer, hence the idea for this group portrait. It's kinda sad that some of the characters I didn't get a chance to draw or that I didn't know enough about them.

Finding a man sitting behind the piano, Ethan waited for the final note before clapping in the air silently. “That’s a unique composition. Is it original?”

Henry Lyons. What words can Randy use to describe the man. Loyal, not willing to take shit. So many things the fox could never be. Randy might be the mayor, but he was also a spineless figurehead, under the oea's bidding. He hated that they could take away so much from him. But Henry was that one thing they couldn't-at least Randy hoped and prayed they wouldn't.

This was probably the thirtieth time this month he tried. Because he was also fearful of the reaction. He could see himself sitting next to Henry on the rooftop letting Henry's smile gleaming against the sunset and the light glimmering through the full moon. The confusion was palpatable on both of them, as they navigated it together. But Randy was the one to leave for the Army all those years ago.

Was he Randy or Mayor Jang? Why even after all these years he still loved cared for Henry Lyons. The fox finally got the courage to knock, he held his breath waiting for the door to open.

so. um. the good news is we found your boyfriend. the bad news is that, well, we sort of…dug him up…in the middle of a car park. in leicester (buckley et al. 2013). leicester, yeah. sorry. they demolished the friary he was hastily interred in when henry viii dissolved all the monasteries. you know how it is. and as it turns out, well, shakespeare was…sort of right about him. scoliosis, yeah, sorry (appleby et al. 2014). if it makes you feel any better we analysed his bones and it turns out he had a pretty high-protein diet before he died (lamb et al. 2014). and he drank so much wine that it changed their chemical composition, which we didn't know could actually happen before we analysed him (lamb et al. 2014), so he was having a good time, at least.
