I think it is pretty common knowledge that most of Naruto’s villains are some exaggerated, “worst outcome” version of Sasuke and his negative traits, but the same is kind of true for Sasuke and the villains that he fights being worst outcome versions of Naruto.

Orochimaru: Wants possession over Sasuke.

Deidara: Loud, blonde kid with extreme jealousy towards Sasuke.

Itachi: A brother to Sasuke and someone who puts the Leaf above everything else, even Sasuke, the person who he’s supposed to love the most

Danzo: A shrewd ninja who is so obsessed with the idea of being Hokage that he’s happy to sacrifice the Leaf’s citizens to preserve the Leaf as an entity.

Kabuto: Perfect sage who had nothing and only thinks of his strength and worth in relation to other characters who he sees as more important than himself.

Additionally, B is more than just a villain to Sasuke, but the comparisons between him and Naruto are pretty obvious and the fight is meant to be a sneak peak at what Sasuke would be up against when Naruto would unlock Kurama’s power. But besides that, these are all pretty ugly mirrors to who Naruto is or could have been without major points of development in Part 2.

i get critiquing plot holes and power differences/disadvantages and systemic things like sexism and sexualization/fetishization and racism in manga and stories in general, and i also understand loving your favorite character and wanting a certain outcome for them, but it's always a little bonkers to me that people geniuenly believe they could have come up with better endings or outcomes than the authors themselves... like i know people get attached to their favs and everything but manga and story telling is an artform and it's art that's created by a real life person who chooses to share their story with you there is no "better" ending that you could have come up with because you couldn't have come up with those characters in the first place! sure you think you could worm them around in better scenarios but even that is wishful thinking because you couldn't have, wouldn't have, and didn't come up with the world and scenes around them to navigate them in canon in the first place! idk i get wishful thinking and hopes and cracking jokes and fix-it fics and ships all that but sometimes i feel like people need to be humble and take a step back lol.... it's not your story and there's nothing for you to change, much less publicly scream about how the author fucked up just bc your favorite character didnt end up how you wanted them to.... and if u feel that strongly just like... do it in your own little online or irl community lol there's no need to scream on the internet every 3 months about how u think the mangaka who gave u the character u love so much is a piss poor artist

<Hi I am currently moving thus I will be semi- (ish) IA.

But today I have been hit by a new inspo: an AU where SNS is a senior and junior pair. (Lol still making SNS fall in love in different ways is always so fun). So I did this little spread :) at least semi-coloured.

It is quite a popular trope in the Danmei genre, and I love it just as much. Sasuke would fit a cold, beautiful senior whom everyone admires (plus is super skilled), and Naruto be that junior who is still in training, has finally met his first crush. At the beginning, Naruto is behind and less talented among his peers, but through the power of love, he will become great! (Excuse my prompts I am trying my best)

Drawing Naruto in this style is very fun. I picture him having fluffy, long hair. And Sasuke would have this traditional long, silky black hair. Sasuke's build is leaner than Naruto as his skills requires him to be more quick and precise (he is really good with the sword even in Canon Naruto), while the shape of Naruto is more square to me (?) More power and muscle and endurance>
