#ruby rose #weiss schnee #whiterose #white rose #rwby #my art #vamp ruby and wereweiss! bc why not.#listen. the really random thought of 'what if i didn't have money when im buying sth' came to me #and what if i didn't have anything of value either #and the first thing i thought of is to rip off and offer a finger #and then i realized i would always buy the thing another day #so this is born i guess.#weiss runs a stall selling wards and charms don't ask me abt the specifics idk #ruby just finds one of them really pretty and decides to get it. it's a ward that repels vamps and weiss is absolutely flabbergasted #and then it doesn't really work on ruby cause maybe silver eyes and stuff #it becomes a routine of ruby visiting her stall and weiss giving her a ward to test on (it never works)#she then gets frustrated and bribes her siblings to test them out. she and winter then proceeded to gather whitley's ashes up #and toss then into a coffin to revive him like it's another day #(yes whole schnee fam are vamps while weiss is the only were)#(and ruby the only vamp where her fam are weres/human)#how does this work? don't ask! i think it's just fun lol #also making vamps that they don't regenerate their limbs if cut off. they need the original severed part. just attach it and it'll heal!#so ruby giving weiss her finger meant that there was a possibility that she'll lose it for life lmao #(thankfully weiss kept it. she was pretty disgusted by it though.)

exam 5 for me... tomorrow!

honestly have been feeling really nervous for this exam since my classmates have either failed it or just barely passed. and i had less time to study this time around because i rushed to book the exam.

so i drew this little encouragement early cuz i need the reminder that no matter what happens tomorrow, i did what i could and i didn't compromise on my boundaries—and that is its own victory.

to preface this post i am anti-advertising i think we should explode the entire industry but it's sooo funny when you people make posts like "and they don't even work!!" like. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes they do. that's why we have to put up with so many despite everyone hating them and thinking its annoying. because they actually work really well and make a shit load of money

#it actually would be way better if they didnt work and made no money bc businesses would abandon them #this isnt like stocks where everythings abstract and is essentially gambling (i dont understand stocks)#like ppl in the ad industry create things. that make a tangible and quantifiable impact on the business #which is then used in further ad planning. it is NOT all smoke and mirrors #like its fake in that the industry is not providing a necessary service the way like. grocery stores are #but its not the level of fake where everything is abstract like theres deliverables #moreover there is an extensive body of academic work specifically on how to make ads more effective #ALSO i think some of u views ads like. as if they have a win condition. which is you buy product #but in current advertising this is pretty rare and comparatively ineffective #which is why you see MANY ads which dont seem to be selling anything in particular. or which have nothing all to do with the product #the 'win' condition for THAT kind of ad is something more like 'viewers remember our name'#like. ex i would say ads for temu have not been effective on me bc i havent bought anything from them #but temu probably thinks they were SUPER effective on me because i talked abt them like 5 different times at work #and i do in fact know exactly what the company does and what they sell #and they were able to capitalize on the reputations of existing companies (wish shein etc) to build their own brand #good idea generator

Pea-can. hm. hm.#anyway)#but this guy had some other really random junk lying around so I decided to take a look and I actually found something really msyerious!#there was this book with a big ‘2’ on it and I couldn’t find the other ones so I was like hey where’s the rest of these and he was like #we already sold them off and I was like WHAT that’s so crazy #like if you’re gonna sell a set of books #WHY would you sell each one separately cuz that would really suck to just like #start in the middle of a series or get hooked and never be able to continue it #and I was pretty wary anyways cuz it looked so CRYPTIC and WEIRD #but he said he’d give it to me for 92 cents and baby that’s a STEAL #couldn’t NOT take it #I mean it sat around on my desk for months and I mainly just used it as a paperweight until one night #they stopped broadcasting America’s Got Talent on my channel and out of SPITE I decided to find a way to defy American Tradition #and read a book #….what? ohhhh you though I was gonna build an inator over this #no at the time I was already working on a Tuesday Inator that would force every Calendar in the Tri-State area to always have every day #as Tuesday so I could ALWAYS have a discount on tacos! do you know how OVERPRICED those things are when they’re not on Tuesday?

#it's uh. it's interesting times here #i am really out here choosing between my comfort zone #or spending over 300 dollars to go to a homeschool conference to sell some copies of my book #most of the money would be spent on author copies of my book #and like. i prayed and i was pretty sure buying 50 of them was the right way to go #AND YET. IT WOULD COST TWO FREAKING HUNDRED DOLLARS #well 269. let's be precise here #and i have to pay for a table at the book sale too and the time window is closing #i did randomly get a surprising amount of money from two people for christmas #and that would cover roughly half of it #but like. this is really stepping out in faith. close to as much as when i quit my job for this #i could make it all back all i have to do is sell those books. not even all of them just most of them.#BUT WHAT IF I CAN'T #i'm an introvert okay. or introvert adjacent. i don't have the confidence that my dad or my siblings would have for this #especially not when there's 300 dollars at stake and just. ugh #i definitely should not be putting all my faith in money or my own abilities #in fact what i should be doing is saying 'okay God if this is what you want then show up'#but oh sky above it is very scary #so if you made it this far. pray for me? that God will show me the right thing to do and i'll follow the path He has for me #even though it's extremely scary #hazel rambles about her original writing

Sirius was waiting for him nervously outside the front door of his flat. Remus’s stomach flipped, and his heart pounded at the sight of him. He quickly quelled those feelings and glared at the cowering man before him with a hopeful look in his eyes. He pushed past him and shoved his key in the lock, leaving the door open as an invitation. It was up to Sirius if he dared to come up.

Remus paused as he entered the flat. It felt different. It took him a second to understand what had changed. Gone was his patchwork of charity shop blankets, and a new folding partition now took over that space. A new, plush sofa sat where his uncomfortable green one had. A new TV was mounted on the wall, and below it was a storage unit packed full of DVDs and blue rays. He ran his fingers over the many titles.

“You have Netflix as well,” Sirius said quietly behind him, having snuck soundlessly into the flat. Remus spun around, staring at him, ready to take out his anger on him. “I’m sorry, Remus,” Sirius’s voice was even quieter than before, his eyes trained on the floor. “If I hadn’t ignored you, she’d have found out who you were and ensured she took everything for you. Job, home, future, she’s good at that,” Sirius swallowed, his jaw clenching as he blinked hard, trying to keep his tears from spilling over. He looked up, distraught. “She’d take you away from me just like she took Reggie, and I-I-I can’t go through that again. It would kill me,” His voice was little more than a whisper, and Remus couldn’t bear the broken look on Sirius’s face. He strode across the small flat and wrapped Sirius in his arms. Sirius sagged against him and sighed in relief.

“I’m sorry I ran,” He whispered into Sirius’s hair. “It was cowardly, and I should have stayed to listen, but I was hurt,” He admitted. Sirius shuddered in his arms.

“I’m sorry, Remus,” He said again, and Remus knew he meant it.

“So, new sofa, hey?” Sirius nodded.

“Yeah, that old one of yours was giving me back pain. This one reclines,” Remus let Sirius show him how it all worked and when he sunk into the thick, soft cushions, he groaned. It was heaven. “What do you want to watch?” Sirius asked him as he flicked the TV on. Remus didn’t even open his eyes.

“Don’t care, sofa's too good. I might sleep here,” He moaned happily. Sirius chuckled beside him.

“I might have got you one more thing,” He said, sounding oddly shy all of a sudden.

Remus cracked open an eye and looked at him, waiting for him to continue. Sirius’s cheeks flared with colour. They were so pink that Remus was sure that if he reached out and ran a finger over them, they’d be hot. “I got you a new mattress,”

Remus got up and went to look behind the partition. His bed looked just the same as it always had. He pushed his hand down on the mattress and it sunk in.

“Shit,” He said before face-planting on the luxurious mattress. “Sirius,” He said, his voice muffled by the bed. “This is too much, you didn’t have to get me things. I would have forgiven you anyway,” Sirius shuffled over and gingerly laid down on the bed next to Remus.

“It’s the only thing I could think of to do. I have a lot of money, Remus, and no one to spend it on, so, I spent some on you,” Remus rolled over.

“Come here, you absolute annoyance,” Sirius wiggled closer and nuzzled his face against Remus’s chest. “Thank you for the gifts,” Sirius relaxed against him, and they stayed there for a while, quietly. Remus couldn’t believe how easily he forgave Sirius. But then, sometimes, that was what you did when you loved somebody.

i swear my stepdad is so illogical AND stubborn it hurts

#okay so strap in coz this is a wild ride #tl;dr we have been without heat and warm water for years and i mean literal years #because he refuses to pay off some debt he built up with the company #because he feels unfairly treated (let's not get into this. it absolutely makes no sense) by the company #so instead of doing the logical step of growing some balls and admitting he made a mistake and paying off his shit #he's been looking for a new supplier all over but the deal IS #that he's been doing this with a couple of places before and people are hesitant to even make him any offers #and you'd think that learning about THAT at least now he'd be like. idk willing to just pay off his debt and be done with it #but you'd be WRONG #now he's looking to just have our entire heating system replaced for the teeny tiny price of 25000 bucks #mind you his debt isn't even a THIRD of that #and obviously he can't afford those 25000 bucks #so what's his next step now you might wonder?#well good thing you asked. his next step is going off on ME for not paying towards the new heating he wants #and now that that's not working for him guess what he did next?#that's right. he bought shit expensive 'space heaters' that are pretty much just small little boxes that you plug into an outlet #and he swears up and down that they're going to heat up our house (it's negative degrees outside)#(it's obviously not working)#and genuinely. all i can think of is how much money he shoved into trying to macgyver this house into a house with warm water and heating #and how he blew off ten thousands of bucks he got paid when he retired within the span of two weeks #when this debt could have been paid off ten times over by now #so now you might be thinking. okay tiago. why don't you move out #good question you see. my mom is disabled and reliant on someone who cares for her #something that he can't won't and shouldn't do because the last time he sorta kinda tried she almost died and we had to call an ambulance #she wouldn't eat a thing if i weren't there to cook. the house would fall into disrepair if i wouldn't do maintenance all around #i've set up (functioning) heat in some areas she occupies and i've gotten a boiler going so she at least has warm water #i'm paying off their bills to make sure he doesn't skip on paying any others. i'm buying groceries for them because again they wouldn't get #any for themselves #and finally. i've offered to pay off his debt so that we can finally live like normal fucking people do #and guess what. guess WHAT. he just got mad at me for not adding money to that 25000 bucks pool for that new fancy heating he wants
