I gotta ask: why is it called brioche knitting? Because I have definitely made brioche before, and it does not work like that.

I really don’t know! But wiki says “ Brioche knitting may have originated in the Middle East. However, the term "brioche" seems to have derived from French slang for "mistake". The name might be a reference to the brioche dinner roll, which is formed of two pieces, one stacked atop the other. “

I’m pretty sure I read about butter poaching for the first time in Thomas Keller’s excellent “French Laundry Cookbook”. Not only does it just make sense (lobster + butter ❤️💯✨), butter-poaching in @kerrygoldusa gently cook fresh #floridakeys lobster so the protein doesn’t seize up and get tough. You can add all sorts of lovely flavors to the poaching liquid, by one favorite and extra luxurious addition is a vanilla bean and some threads of saffron 👌🏻. I quickly steamed these to loosen up their shells, cracked them in half to remove the digestive tract, then rest in a nice bath of BUTTAH to finish cooking, never letting the butter get too hot. #floridakeys #lobster #lobstertail #conchlife #butter #butterpoached #paleo #seafood #thefrenchlaundry (at Marathon, Florida)

Taco Tuesday! Cod fish tacos were on the menu tonight. I seasoned the fish with @slapyamama White Pepper Blend and butter poached the fillets in a @lodgecastiron Skillet on the @kamadojoe Junior. I don't usually rave about food unless it's very very very good! And this was it - The Quarters Experience, a 10-course communal dining experience that will leave you loving every delicious bite. Honestly, I'm dreaming of it right now because I am so hungry and tired that I thought back of the best meal I've had in ages - this was IT.
