Hello ! I positively adore the running joke of Idia unknowingly finding Lilia to be the coolest guy ever whenever he doesn't know it's him, like when Silver described his father, or obviously with muscle red. I can't say what'd be funnier, Idia finding out his online best friend is actually Lilia, resident spooky hyper fairy; or them both never finding out, and it'd become even more ridiculous as time goes on. How do you think it'll play out ? You're always so on point

(Also, though it makes sense, I'm still devastated bat boy didn't get a ticket for the Halloween skeleton train : ( does anyone mentions him at some point ? Like how he'd have fit right in with all those Halloween town little freaks, and how he'd have impressed them with his spooks and scared techniques; after all he's been every Briar Valley's children worst fear on Halloween for centuries. I'm on the eng server and I didn't wanna spoil myself by watching the whole thing on youtube)

you and me both, Idia and Lilia being oblivious online BFFs (+ Idia being incredibly intimidated any time Silver brings up his jock gamer dad) is my favorite running joke/subplot. 🤝 it's SO good, to the point where I also am unsure if I actually want it to ever be resolved or not...maybe, like, as a post-canon stinger or something? everyone's standing around covered in overblot ink, and Idia and Lilia's phones go off at the same time...

(legit I do think this is part of why Idia couldn't be present for Lilia's dream, because for some reason Lilia decided he was going to just. embody his past self online. he probably quotes his own battle strategies or whatever in the middle of boss fights. Idia didn't pick up on the whole "oh how weird that we both live on a super remote island" thing, but he would spend thirty seconds listening to General Lilia describing siege warfare and be like "w-wait")

all that aside, however it does end up happening, I do see Lilia being very blasé and all "oh! cool!" about it. y'know, taking it very much in stride! and Idia...very much not.

as for Lilia sadly missing out on Halloweentown shenanigans...he does get one little mention as part of an offhand reference to the light music club, but so far no one has brought up how this basically is just Lost In the Book of Liliatown (Sebek's been too busy yelling about not getting to be in the same group as Malleus). 😔 honestly though, it's probably for the best that he got left out, because he would just settle right in and refuse to ever leave. canon would shatter. we would miss out on all the delightful angst of episode 7 because Lilia is too busy eating poisonous shrubbery inbetween practicing his very best screams, and no one can pull him away from it.

(I can hope for a sequel next year though...)

I've seen a lot of different takes on Fear Toxin/other fear causing stuff (Yellow Lanterns Ring or something)(later just called Fear Toxin cause I'm lazy) but here is another one.

Danny seems like he isn't affected by Fear Toxin because his biggest fear is that his accident changed him so much he is no longer human, he can no longer truly experience human things.

So when he gets lungful of fear Toxin, he feels normal. He was antsy before, because c'mon, it's a rogue attack but it's not worse. Or so he thought. Because the anxiety lingers. Not enough to register as abnormal just this slight hypervigilance that makes you see things about yourself and your surroundings that you'd never realize otherwise. He'd realize he doesn't blink as often. He'd realize that if he doesn't consciously focus, he sometimes seems to not touch the ground. Forgets to breathe. He can't feel his own pulse at time. He'd realize people will miss him when he's walking down the street as if he was invisible (people just don't care about everyone they pass by). When he'd look straight into his reflection, he'd look slightly to the left. Not enough to actually name anything that was wrong but just stretched enough to fall on the wrong side of the uncanny valley. If he just caught his reflection in the peripheral vision, it'd be vaguely shadowy creature with glowing green eyes and white smoke instead of hair. Overall he'd be just wrong enough to be distinctly not human.

For everyone else, he'd be just a dude. Literally couldn't find more normal dude than this dude. Will pass as absolutely normal human unless someone is specifically looking for ecto-ghost stuff. Even most magic users wouldn't clock him at the glance

Tldr: Fear Toxin makes Danny perceive himself as some sort of eldritch horror but not enough to make him believe he'd actually be affected, while from outside perspective he's Just A Dude™

This might come off as sort of... corny? Cheesy? but half the joy has been the friends we made along the way.

There are going to be vitriolic morons that will use corporate layoffs we've been witnessing for a while to portray the latest installment in a negative light. Ignore them. Block the hell out of a part of the fandom if you need to, the whining is ever-present around these places. Enjoy the game. It is a good, lore accurate Dragon Age game. It introduced a lot of new people to the wider franchise. There are people playing other installments for the first time and it's a joy to see. It is a breath of fresh air. Enter a better part of the community, make friends if you wish, hell knows it's so easy to do when this game inspired such a flow of creative energy.

Dragon Age has always been crafted by its loving fans as much as it was shaped by its talented devs. There would not be Dragon Age without its creators (put some damn respect on their names) and there would not be Dragon Age as we know it without its enthusiastic community.

A franchise is only as good as the people who love it. Personally, DA has been there for me through some of the fundamental times of my life, it's changed me and changed with me. It is my special interest, it is my lifelong friend, and it is going to stay. I don't need corporate approval to find joy in things and I do not pin my enjoyment on how high something ranked in a list made by people who only care about profit. Hope you can find joy too. Stick around.

BOBOIBOY GENTAR COMMENTARY

Theres things in here that keep this arc as my favorite

But first thought i'd like to point out is the vault change

This entire reason change as to how codebot is the way he is reminds me of the rewind fanfiction

Adudu's want for a power sphere then opening up a vault thats keeping said power sphere which turns out to be dangerous and having major consequences for its release

Another thing with this arc is how its connecting things together again in boboiboy making it a whole story from 2011 to now

The callbacks and references

And that the storywriting and character writing definitely is more prominent in this arc and again is adding more within this continuity

If you compare it with the comic, it definitely has less gags but is late to put in the friends writing when it comes to helping boboiboy which is pointed out and placed in the gurlatan arc, but this was before season 2 released anyway so it places a realization for improvement

The character writing point i meant here is that it became more of the focus, literally bringing back the type of writing they did in the boboiboy series

Them also making gentar parallel and also like some connection with season 3 is a wonderful decision because it goes in line with adudu's redemption and the probe fiasco, but its also within line from season 3 to the movie

Cuz of ochobot which is what maple anon said in an ask

The meta jokes where timed nicely, even if it was sometimes mid battle, they make it but get on with it immediately not taking the serious vibe thats already there away

The show not tell is more prominent more too

Gentar arc being the arc thats connecting and improving galaxy as a whole because its slowly fixing some things like 'oh the old boboiboy series is barely mentioned, like it never happened' 'why isnt gopal doing much, comparison to the comic version'

This is a great arc not just visually from all the onomatopoeia frame impacts which are cool btw, and the 2d elements which are blending in more better mixed with the 3d elements, but it brings a paralleled storywriting that connects the series together

From the comic, its like they just remembered adudu redeemed out of the blue before which is a flaw

Here, adudu still remembers the said redemption which connects

Another thing that adds is adudu's character, basically a neutral guy

Of course he still wants to be bad, hes raised in a planet that by being bad, is rewarded in it

Of course being redeemed in season 3 wont last long, especially his mom coming and a psychological effect of being appreciated especially by his mom made him revert back

But of course the redeemed effect is still imprinted in him, he still has morals which made him bullied by the rest of his species anyways, which is by helping probe and keeping all junk he finds and turning it into something impressive

And that his relation to boboiboy and gopal whom gave him appreciation for becoming a better person or being more in line with his morals whom he was bullied for and was put at the bottom

But he stays neutral which is good!

Gopal too shines, with his bravery! I love him being upfront to protect boboiboy, this really did remind me of Ussop! Which someone had pointed out before

Love it furthering his character from what it lacked within galaxy

with his quick and defensive thinking when he confronted and called out adudu and confronted robo dumpster and made sure he wont get hurt further with his molecule changing powers here

For boboiboy himself, is like widening this extensive hero complex he has as gentar

Like a coping mechanism

He has to be the hero cuz of course he is! Everything and everyone will need my help!

But y'know, him focusing on ochobot and ochobot only really sets that back, that confident hero sona that got ochobot to where he is which started in season 3 too

And from movie one as well and was put on close call with season 1's finale

Theres one person he will set his hero complex aside for and its his most special best friend

I love it bringing more focus unto their relationship at this part

Qually is just confused at the call backs, but i love when his intelligence took place for the reactor

Overall the serious and non serious situations were well balanced, the story is taking place and is going at its own pace that doesnt feel rushed

The teleportation sequence is amazingly cool

I love gentar's golem/mech removing gempa's weakpoint which is controlling the golem from the outside which makes him vulnerable

Gentar using close combat dash attacks which is Hali's attack move and attack brashly but on point both Gempa and Hali

The electromagnetism is strong with this one

Again, ill say gentar is fave fusion by just how his power is a new yet connected version of halilintar and gempa

Compacted minerals, metal basically and electromagnetism, and absorption and release, from and earth and lightning. Like a copper lightning rod

Redirection of 'lightning' or well, energy.

Its diversifying the use of the elements thats not used like the original elements themselves which is what makes gentar more unique than the rest of the fusions

Again with the connections like the gentar setups from the past arcs and now baraju setup with this arc.

This is by far, best arc
