Humans are Deathworlders, but they can be Friends, too.

Context: the main alien is Feja, xe/xer, an adult 4th gender tuscia (bipedal beings that communicate mainly through frequencies higher than humans do. Theyhave 5 sexes and 5 main societal gender roles)

Feja didn’t get along well with xer crewmates. It was always hard to communicate cross-species, and even harder when most of them were humans and couldn’t hear you. That’s why, when they stopped to pick up a group of even more humans in the Acrux solar system, Feja wasn’t exactly excited.

The humans’ voices were low, loud, rumbles in as they boarded, speaking of things Feja didn’t know about and couldn’t share. But xe had to do xer job, which involved initiating a small group of new humans who would share the same sort of tasks as xer. Not that xe wanted to share tasks with beings who drank poison for fun and kept predators as pets, but xer job was xer job.

“Hello, welcome to the Yenna,” xe paused, allowing a few seconds for the translator to work. It was always so awkward to wait. And sometimes older translators wouldn’t pick up xer voice correctly at all. “My name is Feja, xe/xer, tuscia, and I will be orienting you to your roles and responsibilities. You should have already received a brief. If you have any questions about that, please let me know.”

One of the humans’ mouths let out a few rumbles, followed by Feja’s translator repeating their words to xer, “Are their Uni-10 translators provided? I missed some of what you said.” 

Feja smiled and the human’s eyebrows scrunched. From previous experience, xe knew that it was confused, probably not used to tuscia body language. Feja let out a small hiss, but replied, “We don’t provide translators, but if communication is an issue, I can transfer you to a different group.” 

A pause, a low rumble, and then, “I think that’d be best. Thanks for being flexible!” 

The other humans in Feja’s group had better translators, and xe was able to finish xer initiation protocol with few issues. Slightly exhausted, xe started to walk back to xer room. Why did xe ever sign up for this? Why didn’t xe apply to somewhere where beings could actually converse with xer without a translator? And why, oh why did xe have to work with so many deathworlders?

Turning into a narrow corridor, Feja saw a human, looking at a number on their watch, then the signs next to each door, apparently trying to find a match. Their long white hair was plaited and reached their waist, and they were wearing a blue tunic that contrasted with their tan skin. It was too narrow to slip past, so Feja clacked xer mouth—a sound that xe knew humans could hear—but the human didn’t turn. Instead, they tried to open another door that also didn’t open, evidently not theirs . Feja clacked louder, to no response. As the human tried the next door, xe got rudely close and clacked once more. The human jumped, then turned and waved. Lucky not angrily— humans could take Feja down in a second. They looked down to their watch and started typing something.

Hey! I’m Kell, they/them, human, and new on board the Yenna, but not a traveler. The text was transmitted directly to Feja’s watch, and xe was surprised to see it was in universal language, not a human one that would have needed further translation. I’ve been hired as a tech assistant, so I should get my own room, but my initiation guide didn’t tell me where it was, and I’m having trouble with these numbers. Does the ship use a different language?

Not an uncommon problem for those first on board. Why didn’t their initiator tell them that?

“Most written text on the signs is in the captain’s birth tongue,” Feja explained. Kell tapped their glasses and captions scrolled across their screen as they looked at xer. “It’s Suav, and probably not in your translator’s database. You can add it, or you could use Anglu, which is close enough that it picks up most things.”

Kell nodded and switched their watch to Anglu, then translated a plaque on the wall. Seeing the results, they hit their forehead with their fist, thumb out. Feja startled, neck ruff raised.

“Are you alright?” Xe asked, cocking xer head. Even with how durable humans were, most of them didn’t hit themselves. Faja’s words scrolled across Kell’s glasses, then they laughed. 

I’m fine. That was sign language; I was calling myself stupid because I’m about 100 doors and a floor away. They looked up and chuckled.

“Sign language? Like the Ruq’?”

Yeah, though the Ruq’ never evolved ears. Mine just don’t work, I’m what humans call Deaf. I grew up with signs.

“So you sign to your fellow humans?”

Ha! Kell raised a lip—a sign of a negative emotion, though Faja wasn’t sure which one. I wish. I’ve only met a few who know any, and then usually not the same one I use. I text to talk to most beings. That’s why I’m in tech and not navigation.

“But you use the Universal Interplanetary Language, not Human, and that’s quite a feat of learning. Surely you had a choice in your occupation, especially considering how you’re a human…” Feja shifted on xer feet. The human-other ratio on board Yenna was unusually high, but that was because they specialized in human transport. Humans easily got jobs as medics, security, or anything else, especially as almost every intergalaxy ship had at least one. But most beings didn’t want to so much as be near the same fleet with so many of such a volatile species. Humans were known for their adaptability, cunning, and ferocity after all. 

When you can’t communicate with most people, you have to do what makes it easiest, and for me that was making sure to limit translation times as much as possible. 

Feja winced at xer own thoughts of Kell’s possible violent nature. Xe looked down at xer messages, a wall of one-way texts, and winced again. Xe typed back, that’s my reason for learning UPL, too. Receiving the text, Kell’s eyes widened. 

You stopped speaking? My translator can write your words out for me.

Feja smiled. It didn’t seem fair. We can keep a record of what I say, too.

 Thanks. Kell blinked and shook their head. That’s not something I even thought of.

I know what it’s like when it’s more work to communicate. The humans tend to avoid me. Faja recalled the human who requested a new group earlier that day.

Me too. Kell had a look on their face that Feja felt often. 

I’ll walk you to your room. I can read Suav numbers, at least. What’s yours?

Kell brightened and checked their brief. It should be 470. 

Alright, that’d be down this hallway. It’s a relief, Faja thought, that they aren’t pushing me away.

A few steps later, Faja’s watch buzzed. Xe looked down.

Hey Faja, how many languages do you know? Kell looked at them and Faja stared. Human’s colors were usually so dull, but xer eyes were drawn to the vibrant green of Kell’s, a color rarely seen in space. Shaking xer head to focus, xe counted the languages xe knew.

Three fluently, five partially. They’re fun to learn, though it doesn’t mean much when no one on board can hear me.

Kell thought for a second, started typing, paused, then sent their message. They peered at xer from behind their hair.

Language isn’t always about hearing. Have you thought about learning sign language?

It was Faja’s turn to pause. Kell fidgeted with a button on their watch. This human was making an effort to bond… with xer. Even though xe was a different species, and even though xe couldn’t offer any career advancement or connections. Xe closed xer eyes and inhaled. Maybe, just maybe, xe would make their first friend on board. It really wasn’t a question, then, was it? This deathworlder wasn’t so bad.

Xe typed xer reply:

Hi! I have a question about neopronouns. I always try to respect someone's neopronouns, but sometimes they don't list all the neopronoun forms on their profile, and I can't contact them. Like, they might just have "ne" as their pronoun. That could be a lot of things, including but not limited to ne/ne/ne's, ne/nim/nis, ne/ner/ners, ne/nem/nir, etc. How do I avoid misgendering people in this situation? Thanks!

Best way is always to just ask, but in scenarios where you can't contact them, I'd default to the most common/popular version of the pronoun set.

I don't know of any other way to guess what their pronouns are and it's definitely not your fault for getting it wrong if you have no way of knowing their full pronouns.

This is why I think it's best to list the full version of your pronouns somewhere (like I have in the pinned post) so people don't run into this issue.

Especially when your pronouns have a lot of different popular variations like xe. (I've seen xe/xem, xe/xer, xe/xir, xe/xyr, etc and that's not even counting full set variations)

I know when you have multiple sets it can get lengthy to list them all in full but it's the best way to make sure you don't get misgendered (anymore than neo users already get misgendered-)

mocha was working on a little story and xe said we could be in it! so obviously me and my friends signed up for the fun, not really expecting anything, the story was called "The Traumatized Cup", thats when we first meet him.

In one of the chapter mocha had introduced rubix, at first i didnt really think much about him, i was just aware of his presence, i do notice him and mocha started to become friends and i thought that was great :)

so rubix (or according to rubix, "jasp" was roleplaying) and mocha were friends on facebook, and they roleplayed there i think, this i just know but apparently he said crap about liam (mocha's platonic partner and my best friend). Mocha is very sensitive and even in roleplay xe's still uncomfortable with what rubix said

Hehe :3 so here is more traditional art of my OC because I am obsessed with drawing xem. No idea why, I just love them :0 anyways.

Backstory (the gist of it anyways)!

Born to the zones, Retro Bolt was just another average zone kid with a makeshift family and a broken history. Now, Retro doesn't remember most of their past after they were brainwashed when xe was around 14ish and turned into a draculoid, which left them without any recollection of their past life.

The mask had melted into their skin, but they were hostile. Xe never fought anyone and was eventually kicked out into the zones to find a purpose from the city. Retro just wandered and wandered, with no purpose. Their mind was fuzzy, xe didn't know who they were or what they were meant to do.

This was all until xe was found by the one and only Cherri Cola. At first, Cherri was ready to shoot Retro when he noticed how hostile they were. Xe didn't attack and simply kept walking in an unknown direction. With the sympathy in his heart, Cherri took Retro back to the station. Dr. Death was completely against the idea of attempting to take someone out of draculoidzation. It was too risky and dangerous. But Cherri kept arguing that this could change something and they could find a weakness.

Reluctantly, Dr. Death allowed Cherri to do what he found the best. Cherri spent days trying to pry the mask off of Retro and to no use, it never came off. Slowly melting more into their skin. Eventually, Cherri gave up but kept Retro around.

One time, Poison and the girl were visiting because the girl wanted to go see Show. Cherri directed The girl to a room before talking with Poison about some poem. The girl ran off and accidentally went into the wrong room, opening the one that held Retro inside. Xe was sitting on the floor, not doing anything. The Girl walked over, knowing Draculoids were bad, but she had heard the way Cherri described this drac.

The Girl had also heard Cherri's complaint about how he couldn't get the mask off. So, she wanted to try something. She walked over to xem, slowly and hesitantly as to not scare them. They didn't move and stared, in a daze. The girl was able to locate the zipper and pull it off, but not without a bloody mess. Retro screamed out in pain as the mask ripped off parts of xers skin and nerves, leaving the blood to leave their face.

Their hands were covered in their own blood and xe was still dazed, but now they were more conscious. They couldn't see out of one of xers eyes and slowly backed away against a wall. Retro wanted to say something outside of their screams but it seems as if xers vocal cords just stopped working to produce everything but words. Cherri ran into the room at the first scream and stared at the mess. If blood loss didn't get to xem, the sand would.

It was a harsh time to get the blood cleaned up, but Cherri managed to get something done. So, now there was this dazed Retro will no recollection of their past and no idea even where they are. Cherri worked with Retro, like a teacher. He spent hours figuring out Retro's name, although Retro didn't know and simply made one up, or one that sounded familiar.

Cherri helped Retro adjust to the zone life and it was pure luck Retro survived.

Little Fun Facts! X3

- Retro had constant flashbacks, mostly of their memories. Xe tries to piece their life together from before the draculoidzation.

- Retro is obsessed with colors and always has art supplies on xem due to how long they spent in a black and white vision.

- Retro roller skates! Show taught them how to and helped xe make their own pair.

- They can't feel anything on the side of their face with the scar, it doesn't feel like anything due to the nerves being ripped out.

- Their favorite band is Pinkshift (Yes, I am kinda putting myself in this OC, shush)

- Retro is confused on sexuality and gender identity (believing they don't have a gender) because xe doesn't know about how to feel about anything like that. They've never experienced romantic feelings and don't feel any gender really fits them.

I agree with your post on tone indicators but be careful with labeling coming up with new terms/language functions as making up a conlang, you seem to know non-native english speakers so you'll know the struggles they have in getting very necessary language such as neutral gender added to their language, and even in english itself there's a lot of push against adding words to describe things like genders, and saying "nah those new things are not real [language]" is often weaponized against people who need new language (i am not saying this applies to tone indicators specifically just to be absolutely 100% clear)

There's nothing wrong with conlangs. I love them, and admire people who create them; they're perfectly valid as an art form and can be a fun and beautiful way to communicate. There's nothing wrong with inside jokes or memes; I employ them among my groups of friends, and love the glimpses of humanity I get from hearing about other people's. Sometimes the confluence of references can be the sweetest, funniest, most concise way of communicating something, and sometimes what you're communicating is just you're my people and I love you, and that is beautiful and valid. There's nothing wrong with neopronouns or any such adapted language; they're perfectly valid, I use them, whenever asked, and in fact I once assigned some to a character in a work of fiction I wrote solely to give myself practice using them, so it wouldn't be so strange to me, since the idea was new to me but I had begun to encounter people who used them. And they convey things that could not already be conveyed using existing language, and so their creation is beautiful and necessary-- as is their explanation.

The thing all these things have in common is that nobody is assuming you know them. If someone has created a conlang, they'd be excited to give me a glossary, and would not use the language with me if I had not been given an opportunity to know what the words meant.

If I am making a bunch of references to inside jokes, I will make sure that everyone in the conversation has had a chance to hear the background context, so that they are not excluded-- if it is not possible, I will apologize to the excluded person, and try to keep my references to a minimum in conversations they're part of.

If someone has neopronouns, I will happily use them, but I need to be told what they are and how to use them grammatically. Once this is done, I will do my best, just as I do with anything I'm learning, but I don't think it would be reasonable for me to know to use pronouns if I haven't been told what they are. This is why people say "she/her", "they/them", "xe/xer" and so on, by the way, instead of just saying "she"-- it's to give you what you need to use it!

So tone indicators-- fine, use them, but if you're using them in a conversation with me, understand that they are opaque to me so I will not understand them so you using them is serving absolutely no purpose, and so you will have to also, if indicating your tone is important to the meaning of the conversation, do so using language I can understand, and additionally know that if you have repurposed widely-used existing acronyms or abbreviations, you're going to have to clear up what you mean, and in fact for the ones whose older and far more common usages are actively offensive, you should avoid using them unless you're trying to cause offense.

Because this is the main point I'm getting to: It's really fucking rude to address someone using language they do not know and are excluded from.

So every single time you use a tone indicator with someone whose familiarity with the system you haven't bothered to verify, you are appending another, secret, tone indicator on the end, which just says HOSTILE, invisibly appended after every other thing you have typed, because you are using abbreviations that in broader culture mean other things, and expecting your reader, without having asked if they know them, to discard everything else they know, and put themselves out to decipher your unfamiliar jargon.

It's entitled and hostile and counterproductive. So I'm not saying don't use them, I'm saying ask first, and if the person's not familiar, then make your meaning clear in standard language. It's pretty simple. If you love this specific system a lot and talk to this person a lot, maybe drop a link to a key and ask if they'd be willing to learn them. But understand that is a big ask, because there are so many other ways to convey the same exact information that are not reliant upon a brand-new obscure code.

Alrighty so I have a bunch of extra stuff on these guys I wanna share. It’s gonna be a long one so um prepare for a lot. First off, design wise, I kept their builds and heights pretty much the same as canon with the lower 2 pairs of arms just slightly smaller than their main pair of arms. Also like canon, I assigned them different species of spider that I thought best correlated to their species of turtle.

Raph is a Goliath Birdeater Tarantula which is the largest species of spider in the world. Although he isn’t blind, he still has the poorest eyesight out of his siblings (which is like average human eyesight really with a larger field of vision). However, his fur is hyper sensitive his surroundings. Another defense mechanism he has is the fur on his spider abdomen is barbed and can be flung at opponents, but this ability should only be used as a last resort. Raph can produce webs with his spinnerets, but he only uses them to make a web burrow to which he sleeps in. I also made Raph transmasc here simply because female Goliath Birdeaters are larger and have 4x longer of a lifespan than males

Donnie is a Rabid Wolf Spider. While running on foot, Donnie is the fastest of their siblings. They also have the sharpest eyesight, being able to spot things from really far away. Donnie has fur, it’s just very thin. Unlike their siblings, Donnie does not have spinnerets and thus cannot produce natural webs. None the matter for Donnie as they have their own formula to make synthetic webs. Donnie took massive inspiration from Spiderman, making synthetic web shooters for their wrists. The gang starts using Donnie’s synthetic web more when they start going on missions since it’s much stronger and versatile than natural webs plus it dissolves after a couple hours. Another thing to note is that like Raph and Leo, Donnie has burrowing instincts so they will often sleep in a burrow of pillows/blankets or go sleep in Raph’s or Leo’s web burrows. Also the decision to make Donnie non-binary was simply because I read a fic recently where they were aha

Leo is a Peacock Jumping Spider, specifically species Maratus Speciosus (I’m including this because there are A LOT of different species of Peacock Jumping Spiders). Like his species suggests, Leo is able to do something he calls “super jumps” where he can jump like 20ft in the air. While he doesn’t have the sharpest vision, he does have the widest field of vision with literally a pair of eyes on the back of his head. Leo does produce webs (his spinnerets are just usually hidden under his fan) and like Raph, Leo uses them to make a web burrow that he sleeps in. Leo also uses his webs as a safety line when he does a super jump or attempts a risky skateboard trick. Leo is a cis male here simply because only male jumping spiders are brightly colored and have the abdominal fan. He’s still fruity though lol. His fan will typically puff up whenever he trying to show off or when he looks at someone he finds attractive (especially around a certain rabbit)

Mikey is a Marbled Orb Weaver Spider. Unlike his siblings, Mikey isn’t a terrestrial species of spider. This means xe is the only one of their siblings to weave traditional spider webs, one of which she sleeps on. Mikey also likes to use their webs to make web art to which he initially got inspired into doing from watching Charlotte’s Web. Mikey’s vision is slightly better than Raph’s, but not by much. Mikey does not have fur like xer siblings do. Mikey is gender-fluid here and uses any pronouns. Though she is amab since male Marbled Orb Weavers have a less bulbous abdomen and their own abdominal pattern

More notes to add is that since they are spiders, all of them have the ability to stick to walls. They also all have hollow fangs and venom, though none of their venom is lethal. (Might make you really sick depending on how much venom was injected.) Spiders don’t have digestive systems and eat by injecting digestive venom into prey, practically melting it into soup before consuming it. Raph, Donnie, Leo, and Mikey all tend to do this with any food item that is larger than their mouth instinctually, Mikey sometimes wrapping food items with her webs. They have to drain their fangs of venom monthly or their venom glands will start to feel uncontrollable due to venom build up.

When threatened, the four of them do hiss and will bare their fangs. Donnie and Raph are more prone to bite on reflex. They are also all immune to spider venom because wouldn’t that be an inconvenience if they weren’t.

I know spiders don’t technically have very long life expectancies other than maybe tarantulas so I’m gonna say that the mutagen made their life spans similar to that of a human.

I included the ninpo activated versions mainly because I wanted to show that the color coded markings on them are what I’m calling ninpo markings. These are markings that they specifically have because of their Hamato Clan blood, not because of their spider species, thus it is the only markings that glow when ninpo is is use.

If I didn’t make it clear before, they all still have their canon personalities and ninpo powers. The only thing that changed is now they are spiders instead of turtles

This will be the last time P03 forgets to close a zip file correctly in his existence.

It was supposed to be a moment of peace, you were in the corridors of the factory, doing what he commanded. And even then, a voice hummed through the robot's circuits. P03 had no ears, and yet, he could hear that voice inside him somehow. It was not discovered how this boss managed to remain inside him with the file already closed, but oh how xe was annoying.

"I want to talk to them." Implored the voice coming from the zip file, echoing in what we can call P03's mind.

The face on his screen frowned in irritation. Maybe, P03 thought, if I ignore xem, xe'll give up.

"...Let me play with them, just one more time." Xe suggested. The voice came out almost as a whisper.

P03 looked at the exit of his room, which led to the corridors. Why are you taking so long?! Passed out on the way? The scrybe feels stupid wanting your company not to be alone with this thing.

"We've been through this over and over again. Don't be a fool. Why stop me?"

"Why I wouldn't?" P03 replied, almost letting out a grunt of rage.

"This has nothing to do with you..." argued the voice. And if you paid attention, maybe you could see that xer patience is not infinite either.

"Oh, it does. You will be bugging me for eternity because of that idiot." P03 spat.

"Don't you dare call them that..." Xem growled.

"And what are you going to do, huh?"

Silence.

The robot blinked, expecting some kind of revolt from the file, but it just hummed as a response to the silence. "That's what I thought." His bored face returns.

Was it that hard to check a broken camera? P03 was born knowing this but oh, how could he forget, you're a stupid gamer, that's why it takes so long.

However, P03 started to think about this friendship between the laziest boss he ever made and a dumb human like you... Did you even liked xem back? Sure, xe is the first you get into among the other uberbots, if not, at least the second one, but that means nothing... And what made this boss so obssesed over you? If you had something special, P03 would notice.

The worst part is how the boss cries like a baby just because of the lack of your presence–

"I want to tell them."

Here we go again.

P03 produced a sound that resembles a sigh, trying to prepare his patience for the flea that annoys him all the time.

"Tell them what."

"...That I love them..." Xe declared. The tone of voice sensitive and low, exactly like a whisper.

For a second, P03's digital eyes wided, only to then burst out laughing. His laughter echoes through the room, as if it were the best joke the machine has ever heard in his life.

In silence, this time with a slight depressive mood, xe was forced to hear the scrybe's laugh. What stops xem from having you by xer side? Xe is one of the best among other Uberbots, a saint even(which is ironic to say when we remember what Archivist is). Xe does xer job correctly. It's not fair.

"And I thought you were the least idiot of the rest." An extra laugh escaped, and P03 took the 'breath' back to speak. "This idea of ​​'love' will only hold you back from everything. It's useless. Believe me when I say that your situation is great compared to others." The robot returned to his straight posture with his usual expression. "And what makes you believe they like you too?"

"They come to me first, always me first..." The unfinished boss mumble, xer tone clearly more serious, colder.

"Pfft, please." P03 scoffs. "You're so stupid." He opens a small smile, even yet with irritated eyebrows.

"They tolerates me, unlike you. Have you seen how irritated they gets with you?"

"You're a big joke." The smile faded

"People at least like jokes, unlike you." Xe nagged. If the boss were able to show xer face in the screen, it would have a smug grin.

"Shut up."

"They clearly like me more-"

"Yeah, but I don't care!" The robot snaped. "You will never do stupid romantic things with them, you will never tell them. And maybe, if you continue being a pain in the ass, you will never talk to them again."

Both were silent, while P03 waited for some kind of annoying argument coming from the voice. Then, footsteps from the metallic floor could be heard echoing from the hallways, this is the first time P03 is glad to see you.

"...I hate you."

"Whatever."

So.. I love listening about everyone’s opinions (If it wasn’t clear already), though I hate reading hate comments, especially about things I really love, like object shows.. specifically.. Inanimate Insanity..

Xe was REALLY trying to avoid talking about this, and about the hate towards the community, but xe HAD to talk.. Xe had to see why, and now that xe sees why.. well.. it starts to make xe feel guilty that xe supported all of this, that xe enjoyed seeing cabself (cabby) get beaten up by ableism, and just thought that it was “a part of their story line/arc!” So xe just shoved it aside, thinking maybe they wanted to make cab very relatable! Since she has memory issues and such! (Which did make cab very relatable, but it wasn’t worth it at all..)

I was so gullible, I didn’t see the red flags AT ALL, and I was too scared to confront myself and actually read the hate comments. It’s so hard to see something you like so much turn into this.. ridiculousness. Why can’t I just stick to a STABLE community, that I RELATE to, LOVE, AND KIN?! 

Can you imagine?! I KIN CABBY. What am I supposed to do when one day ii gets cancelled?! What happens to us fictkins when we get hate just because our characters belong in an ableist show?! I’m seriously worried, I wish I didn’t read any of these hate comments, but yet again, I would’ve never learnt the harsh truth, the harsh reality about everything.

Star has been searching, fandom to fandom, looking for that perfect fandom that star relates to, that’s popular, that’s LIKED. And NOW… 

Star loses. again. And now star is stuck with a kin that belongs in an ableist show. Because it wasn’t stars choice, because it never was stars choice, and star thought for once.. maybe something star couldn’t choose (specifically about fictionkin) wouldn’t be so bad! What would happen if star found out star kinned a character in a silly show? 

Well.. star found out alright. And star is not sure us fictkins will be accepted. Maybe I’m overthinking this and people won’t hate star/us, but star just can’t help but worry… You know? What if people shame us for being something we never chose to be? Especially when it links with an ableist show.. 

The real question is, do YOU accept me? Do you accept US? Even though our kin types belong in a bad community? Will we be allowed to interact with people? Or will we have to hide our identities because we might be in everyone’s DNI List?? (I’m genuinely speaking for all fictkins that have a kin in the show, I’m not only worried about myself, but about my fellow kins as well. I just hope this ends well…)

It’s honestly hard. I hate this. I just try my best to cover up the hate with things I love, and now, I can’t even deny it! The hate isn’t hate alone.. the hate is AWARENESS. ABLEIST AWARENESS, That’s so (im)perfectly hidden behind these fanon lies to make sure that it doesn’t pop out as much, and it did work.. for me at least.. but now the truth can’t hide.

Spread awareness. Share the truth. And.. maybe we can all figure this out together.

It was such a relief to xem that Impulse wasn't upset! Xe knows there's unspoken rules about going after who your best friend considers a brother to him, but Impulse was nothing but supportive. Though, xe's sure the shovel talk will come later.

If xe ever manages to bake this bread. Xer kitchen is covered in ingredients and failed attempts! It just never seems to come out right, and Skizz deserves perfection. Which makes it awkward when Skizz walks in and asks what xe's doing...

Zed bashfully explains xe was trying to bake, and Skizz exclaims how that bread is his favourite! He quickly jumps in to help xem, guiding xem through each step and even offering to dig out where he wrote the recipe he uses! The next batch turns out perfect.

And when they show him their work, Impulse is very proud of his subtle hint for Skizz to go to the kitchen.
