Meatbun: Iā€™m going to use the framework of a dubcon yaoi to explore complicated ideas of consent and empathy because itā€™s the pinnacle of this sort of thing so while I feed you attic wife noncon with one hand, the extreme semeuke yaoiness of it all is also going to serve as a sounding board and comparison point for you to meditate on themes of consent within other contexts like poverty and tragedy and also what non-consent actually is and how it looks. It is extremely important that it is dubcon yaoi because everything you can explore starts with this as a thematic comparison point. Look at how conflicted chu wanning feels about his desires [Iā€™ve used these tropes to narrow your perception of what non-consent looks like and now I pull the rug out from under you and change your understanding of who the victim is] Yes chu wanning is being horribly locked up by his alpha billionaire [if you are too poor to have ever thought to want anything can you even want at all] kyaaaah *slams uke against wall* [capitalism is hell and actively cuts away the ability to empathize, what even is consent when people are given no other choices by the very fabric of society? How much of their behavior is truly theirs? How much can you blame them?] Also I find this hot. Really really hot.
Some fucker in my anons: guys donā€™t engage with 2ha like itā€™s dubcon yaoi that makes you a fucking freak and terrible and awful and hateā€”

Soooo, Loser Li finds out what kind of hell awaits Vamp Daddy when the train stops and he is clearly having seller's remorse because nobody nobody can mess with Vamp Daddy but him. But seriously, he clearly doesn't want him to die. He wants his attention and he wants him to admit he's wrong/inferior/would be his concubine/whatever but not actually cease existing. This is some serious Meatbun stuff and it's glorious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he remembers when he saved Loser Li as a kid (tho Vamp Daddy does not remember; seriously what is this, ranwan AU?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is Loser Li gonna swap sides? PLS SAY SO!!! You can join Vamp Daddy's harem officially - that mansion has a ton of space! And Mi Lan seems unconventional enough not to care.

This drama cannot be real, it's a figment of my imagination.

Master Detective Archives: RainCode; THE FINALE
SPOILERS AHOY! IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THIS GAME PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
Alright, with the obligatory warning out of the way, LETS CRACK INTO THIS. First of all, I was definitely not ready for the twists this game was boutta knock me upside the head with, like, at all. Starting with the simple fact of how they turned something the fandom MILKED for all it's worth in jokes into a key plot point was just... well fucking played. Also known as the pink blood. Trying to wrap my head around 'Homunculi' was a trip and a half. Once I DID have my head wrapped around the concept though, things made way more sense . Makoto being a Homunculi I saw coming after the investiagtion in the labratory in the restricted area. Specifically that he was the first successful one that disappeared. I was confused, but not that confused. What did get me good was Yuma Kokohead...not...being...Yuma Kokohead...but rather number one. Oh dear. Cause I had originally suspected that the number one we saw on the screen in the office was the big bad or smth, I just knew there was something kinda off about him. I was barking up the wrong tree clearly. When I got to the part where the game finally revealed that homunculi have pink blood I had a realization and was very happy that this information was the confirmation I needed to know, MY CHILDREN WEREN'T DEAD. (Aka the other detectives for those who may not have seen my previous blab.) Then there was Makoto...hoo boy. Don't get me wrong, I like Makoto as a character, but I was a MIXED ass bag of emotions with him. Between first cussing him out wondering where the hell the others were, then changing to applauding him for his cleverness in using us to get rid of Yomi, then finally to; "Oh shit, I don't actually want to kill you anymore... uhhh-" Then the emergency exit coming out and Shinigami finally telling us what the price is for using it and... Oh dear I nearly started crying (and usually when it comes to emotional moments in fiction I am a stone wall.) We've been through so much shit with Shinigami, it HURT to have to go our separate ways from her, it just hurt! Finally I just wanted to touch on that EPILOUGE. I was SO happy to see all the other detectives (Sans Yakou, RIP.) at the office and getting ready to head out. Nearly had a panic when I couldn't locate Vivia, only for him to be hiding in a suitcase hoping someone would carry him. Kurumi going out to search for Number one and travel is kinda cute, I was also EXTREMELY relieved that the ramen shop owner was able to develop a ramen with all of the nutrients Homunculi need so they didn't have to eat the meatbuns anymore. Thank goodness TvT. ALRIGHTY. I DID mention I would list my favourite characters so HERE WE GO. (Keep in mind this is just MY opinion. I'll just do a top 5 list for the sake of length) 1. Vivia Twilight (Yakou WAS my favourite character at first, but then I got to know Vivia's character a bit better I couldn't help but love his lazy ass. Not to mention I found his forte SO cool!) 2. Yakou (I Miss My Wife Tails) Furio. (Ah yes, my favourite Hobo detective as I like to call him. I call him that because when he wears that big coat he kinda looks like a Hobo. Anyways, watching him try to be the voice of reason for the other detectives is just too entertaining to not like him.) 3. Fubuki Clockford. (She's so sweet, yet so forgetful. Tbh I find it cute. She's another one of the detectives whose forte I find really interesting. I will admit though, my first impression of her was; "Dumb, dumb as hell." but she's so cute. I just love her.) 4. Halara Nightmare (They're SO badass! Watching them kick around the Peacekeepers like it's nothing is always a good time! Also, we appreciate an Animal lover here, yes we DO! I love Halara's forte and using it during the Nail Man investigations was quite interesting. 5. Shinigami (Our adorable, lenient, troublesome, and mean companion! God I don't know how anyone can't like her? She's so amusing and has literally NO filter! Only reason she's lower on the list is because MY emotional attachment was more towards the other detectives.)
Whew! Okay I think I've rambled on this long enough, so this shall be the end of this ramble! Have a good day/night everyone!

Okay so we got a little lost in the sauce and we haven't done a book haul in weeks. So! Here are all the books we got (outside of AnimeNYC) from 8/20/24-9/9/24. Technically we actually got all of Hell's Paradise and most of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation on sale second hand which was exciting but that would have, like, doubled the number of books we had here so they were omitted.
We were so excited about The Husky & His White Cat Shizun (2ha) Volume 6 that both Gabe and I ate the entire volume immediately. You can find reviews for it on our Storygraphs and we'll probably make a spoiler free pitch for the whole series soon. Meatbun is our fav. Next up on my TBR is Exposed by H.L. Day since I originally subscribed to the Rainbow After Dark box from @rainbowcrate because of it.
Some other ones I'm particularly excited about are the danmei that I bought directly from Via Lactea: To Rule In A Turbulent World, Salad Days, & The Missing Piece. I'm going to be making a video comparing the quality of the ones shipped directly by Via Lactea versus what you can get from a third party like TikTok Shop soon.
Stay tuned for more soon! We are trying to un-loss ourselves from the sauce and get back into our cosplay crafting and book review posting so wish us luck.

December Reading Recap
I thought about trying to do some kind of 2022 reading summation/best of/worst of/whatever and I might still do that but right now I'm just going "too many booksahhh" so I'm just going to keep on going with month two of my "here's what I read this month" short reviews.
I read a lot this month, but unfortunately it involved several books that missed for me (but a few that I really enjoyed).
The Husky and His White Cat Shizun: vol. 1 by Meatbun Doesn't Eat Meat (Seven Seas Translation). I mean, as usual, even without knowing the actual quality of the translation as a translation I am still pining for a professional translator. And yet I'm still reading, because this is the way I have to read the thing as translated by an actual human, and I am enjoying it. This time around I am falling much more in love with Chu Wanning than I did the first time around when I was laser focused on Mo Ran as more nakedly ~my type~ but boy!! *pats Chu Wanning* this man can fit soooo many issues in him.
Babel, Or the Necessity of Violence: An Arcane History of the Oxford Translators' Revolution by R.F. Kuang. I feel like my relationship status with R.F. Kuang's writing should just be listed as "it's complicated" because I don't even know how I feel about this book, really. It's conceptually fascinating, it's doing so many cool things, the way she chose to end it is very bold and I respect the hell out of it, and something still just didn't quite...click for me in the way that I wanted it to.
I think it was that it felt a little heavy-handed with its metaphors. Which is fine, to be sure, and making your imperialism metaphors specifically about language and translation isn't something I've seen somebody do a lot with in fiction, but...yeah. I'm calling this one less a fault of the book and more a fault of the me, though; it definitely feels like a your mileage may vary situation.
Several People Are Typing by Calvin Kasulke. I picked this up on a whim and it wasn't worth it. The book was very taken with its own cleverness; I was not.
The Maidens by Alex Michaelides. This was another one where the summary/description was more interesting than the actual book turned out being, which was, while readable and I was intrigued enough by the mystery to power through it pretty fast, underwhelming overall.
Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots. Some people (me) keep picking up retellings despite at this point knowing better; other people (me) keep picking up superhero-comics-inspired books despite at this point knowing better, only this time I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. It was legitimately a good story! And you know I'm always going to be a sucker for a story that takes the villain's side.
Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield. I have the creeping feeling that this book was too sophisticated for me and I would have liked it more if I was more sophisticated, which is an unpleasant feeling to have.
I wanted more deep sea horror from it than I got - not in the sense of ~creatures and tentacles~ or anything, but this was far more a book about grief and loss than it was horror, and it was billed to me as the latter, so I came in from the wrong direction and was a little disappointed. It was a good book, though, and beautifully written.
Everything I Need I Get From You by Kaitlyn Tiffany. Had I known that the title of this book was from a One Direction song (I didn't) I might have anticipated more how much it was about bandom and therefore less relevant to my interests. It was also lighter on the analysis than I expected/wanted, so ultimately this one was a disappointment too.
Beowulf trans. by Maria Dahvana Headley. This is the first translation of Beowulf I have ever actually read (!) and after reading it I kind of wished that I'd read at least one other translation to compare it to. But a lot of the things she was doing with alliteration and assonance and rhythm in the language were just spectacular. And it gave me the chance to read this one (by this translator) coupled with:
The Mere Wife by Maria Dahvana Headley. Adding this to my "books to read in pairs" list alongside the Song of Achilles / Silence of the Girls dyad. It's been sitting on my shelf for a while now, and I finally got around to it as spurred by reading the original Beowulf text, and...whoa. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while and I want other people I know to read it so I can bounce off their thoughts about it. If you haven't heard of it: this was billed as a retelling (I know) of the Beowulf story set in a gated community but I feel like the fact that it's based on Beowulf is almost beside the point in some ways, and in other ways it's very much in conversation with that text and lives alongside it and maybe a little in argument with it.
Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: vol. 4 by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (Seven Seas Translation). I feel a little bad about how my reaction to this volume was a little bit "this was mostly a lot of Wangxian stuff so I was less excited about it" but there you go.
Siren Queen by Nghi Vo. I have to say, I read The Chosen and the Beautiful when it came out and was a little underwhelmed, but the synopsis for this one sounded interesting, and people kept raving about it, so I decided to give it a go, and I liked this one both (a) much better than The Chosen and the Beautiful and (b) just as a book without comparison needed. It also made me want to dig more into early film history. The way that this book is in love with (in a way) early film is also a delight to read, and while I can't call it subtle, it's eerie and beautiful in a way that really worked for me.
The Last Days of Jack Sparks by Jason Arnopp. I read a lot of horror despite the fact that I end up underwhelmed by the vast majority of it. I was slightly less underwhelmed by this one than I expected to be, but that is, as you might note, not exactly an endorsement. Part of the problem was that I found the main narrator just too fucking hateable in a very specific way to feel anything about his suffering but vague, detached interest in where it was going to go.
Heaven Official's Blessing: vol. 5 by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (Seven Seas Translation). I just love this book so much and everything about the reading experience is difficult to judge in an objective way because my brain just kind of goes "look at them go! look at these little dudes go! they're so funny :)" in a very empty-headed sort of way.
This volume does sort of fall between my favorite bits, though (after end of Black Water Arc, before the Hua Cheng's Sculpture Gallery), so while it started digging into some of the Crown Prince of Wuyong lore it didn't quite hit the parts that are juiciest for me.
The Coming Plague by Laurie Garrett. This book made me so mad about public health policy. Like, so mad. I'm mad about it periodically anyway but this just made it worse. It's really good, very comprehensive overview of some of the emerging diseases since 1950, including Lassa, Ebola, antibiotic resistance, HIV/AIDS, and others. It's long, and definitely a rough read if you've got any kind of disease phobia (she isn't...gruesome about the clinical descriptions but she also isn't mincing words), but worth a read if you feel like you can do it and are interested in epidemiology.
There's definitely outdated terminology and some bits that made me squint about the book's politics, but overall the author's clear message of the need for holistic health policies for everybody mitigated a lot of those concerns (particularly the way the author repeatedly underlined the links between poverty and deprivation and vulnerability to illness, and the vitality of giving people a way out of that situation as part of public health policy.
The Bone Orchard by Sara Mueller. The last book I read in 2022! I'm so fascinated by everything this book was doing. There was some very interesting world-building under the skin of what was really mostly a mystery with a side of politics. And I say that favorably. Ultimately I'm not sure that it'd make my favorite books of the year list, but I'd give it a casual recommendation; that is, if someone was eyeing it to read I'd say it was worth picking up.
I'm currently reading Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism by Michelle Goldberg, which was published in 2007 (during the Bush years) and I can already tell reading it now is going to be an experience.

chapter one rewatch part one. Witamy w następnym odcinku przygĆ³d Yumy w wypiÅŗdziewie ft. Shinigami ona też tu jest
(I think ill just be making separate posts on all of these instead of putting the chapters in the reblogs as they could get a bit.... lengthy otherwise)
behold...... the best chapter.... in my humble yet correct opinion..... here it is..
poor fucking yumer doesn't even get a hotel room he just. sleeps on the damn sofa in the submarine. at least yakou gets some company after all these years
how are there still leaves/needles on these trees? there is zero sunlight and even if there are varieties in there that could survive that for a while its also been raining for entire three years i think all that dampness has long since caused them to get 1000 root rot and fungal diseases. that's not a forest that is a pile of rotten wood that's already 70% disintegrated. what do they even nail all that shit to
the fungi, on the other hand? they're fucking thriving. i made a post about that earlier but i don't want to look for it. all i need to say is that kanai ward has a massive fucking evil fungus problem.
at least yakou had a good time that night lmao.
perhaps i should enter a kokofurio/yumakou era
even shinigami pointed out how poetic yuma tends to get sometimes with his monologues xD
ah yes the cooking scene. maybe i am just such an incredibly skilled gourmet chef that it doesn't even occur to me, but i do not get how do you even manage to fuck up this badly.
and it even looks and smells normal..... how does he do that.
yuma, how the hell do you do that.
okay i came back after i pause since i was doing too bad with my brain shitfuckery to continue it then came back for it in order to distract from my brain shitfuckery
am i really about to enter a kokofurio/yumakou era
im actually ending up liking yakou way more than i did initially lmao..... the guy is growing on me. shame about the d*tective thing though ://
oh, speaking of, detectivephobia mention counter: 5 (kind of)
ooooh also i see. yakou says that he tried contacting wdo several times about the whole kanai ward situation before but they always waved him off and said they got bigger cases to worry about. i wonder why would they do that hmmmmm
"he didnt seem all that impressive to me" youd know huh shinigami
"each master detective is quirky in their own way"
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH CITY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY CITY TIME :3333333333 also there was a meatbun trivia right before we left. nervous laughter
im already getting emotional and we're not even at ginma or marunomon districts yet. what shall i do with myself once that time comes.........................
whats up ramen dude
meatbuns again [ominous music] well at least i can confirm they tasted good lmao?
are u gonna be mad at me for skipping the whole vivia segment
FUBUKI :D
"im sure halara is around somewhere probably hustling kids outta their money'' omgg the foreshadowing in precipitation cipher is actually insane you guyssss
ending this at the part when kokogami's about to look for halara!! goodnight gamers ..

Finished Johneawesome's latest video of chapter 5 and I already have a very horrific theory. This is mostly going to be debunked pretty soon but I think this is fun:
So I think we all already saw coming that the meatbuns were suspicious as hell. With how addicted the people of Kanai are to them, they were bound to be relevant to the plot in some way. I think I distinctly remember jokingly thinking they're made of humans and that's wherethe 'unique taste' comes from (probably because I've been really into Cooking Companions recently lmao), but now I think that's actually the case. If that's the case, why feed your city human meat? What merit is there to that aside from just twisted, sadistic enjoyment to feeding your blissfully unaware citizens their own people? And why even go through all that effort to do it?
First, the game explicibly states that Homunculi can only eat human flesh to sustain themselves and we know that to be the case because we see them chase Yuma and Kurumi around and feast on dead bodies. However, we also see them eating the meatbuns that are dropped by Ama-Pals scattered around the area. Heck, the factory where they make the blasted meatbuns everyone loves so much is in the Homunculi infested/corpse disposal dump we call the restricted area, so I think that alone just straight up confirms it. We also know that the only way to tell a homunculus apart from a person is their blood. Both red and pink blood is used in the game. At first I just thought it was just a style choice to give murder victims pink blood and regular people red blood, but I don't believe it's the case. And if that's so, then that changes everything we've known up until this point completely and for the absolute worst.
We know that the Homunculi all bleed pink blood. We see it leak from their eyes when they try to attack us. Every murder victim, all citizens of Kanai Ward, also bleed pink. But we know for a fact that the same does not go for the detectives, specifically Yuma and Desuhiko. We see Yuma's blood in the Mystery Labyrinth whenever Shinigami needs to a question appear. We saw it in the real world when he smeared his blood on the lock in the Amaterasu Express. Both times it came out red. Desuhiko's nose-bleed is also red.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know this rule doesn't hold up for all of them because Yakou also bleeds pink, but unlike the others he lives in Kanai Ward and has his whole life. The game also states that Homunculi will grow sick if they do not consume human meat. Everyone in Kanai Ward is pretty much addicted to the meatbuns. Kurumi even says that they're considered the comfort food there. Yakou is always hungry for them and complained how he can't function without having eaten first before sending Yuma off to get them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn't think much at all of the latter when I first heard it, but in this context it seems... really sketchy. What if the people in Kanai Ward are all actually Homunculi? Could that be why the meatbuns are made from human flesh? To unknowingly sustain them in a practical and subtle way?
Ok, this is getting completely outlandish but this is my theory so I'll continue going: How did they manage to turn everyone in the city into Homunculi? I think this is directly related to the Blank Week Mystery. Just going off the name the case seems to involve something being missing and the photo for the solution key shows an empty road with nobody present. Is that maybe a hint that for an entire week all of the civillians just randomly disappeared? Should that be true, then this is going to be the time where everyone was either turned or replaced with Homunculi (and also makes Makoto extremely suspicious since he appeared around that time). According to maybe-Vivia's note, Homunculi can become injured and ill, can be handicapped or blind, so can easily slip into society without anyone noticing. But once they 'die', everything is repaired upon renewal. Death is what acts as the trigger for rebuilding their cells and apparently only takes a day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Peacekeepers are always so quick to dispose of bodies in the city. They always say it's due to the fact that the rain makes the corpses spoil quicker, but what if it's actually that the bodies will end like the Homunculi in the restricted area? So they dump them there to wander around there instead so nobody ever finds out? Most of the ones we see are people that have died throughout the chapters and even Zilch is included-- but coincidently the Master Detectives we met on the Amaterasu Express are totally absent. We know that Homunculi have pink blood and so do the people of Kanai, but we never confirmed anything for the those Master Detectives because they were all burned to death (which is something John points out in his video). And I think that's intentional. Because if they had bled their blood would've without a doubt be red, making us immediately question the usage of pink/red blood from the beginning and finding the truth so much sooner. And I think that's absolutely genius writing if that ends up being true. Awful for all the characters involved obviously, but great for me because we are entering some really messed up territory.
Who knows, my theory could be wrong but I'm pretty confident it's going to go into that direction in some way and I'm totally hype.

2023 - mid-year book freak out tag
yay to getting into danmei. yay to my current read, qiang jin jiu, thatā€™s wrapped itself around my brain.
yay to turning 22, and so as a gift to myself, i wrote to my heartā€™s content about some of the reads that have stood out to me this year so far.
it was really fun <3 and long lol enjoy
best book youā€™ve read so far in 2023?
the grandmaster of demonic cultivation (vol. 3) by mxtx
this is actually a much more objective answer, like scum villain would seem the most obvious choice being that itā€™s my new all-time comfort series but genuinely, the plot and character arcs of mdzs were so truly well-done and completely mind-bending to me, i was obsessed with it through & through.
best sequel youā€™ve read so far in 2023?
the scum villainā€™s self-saving system (vol. 2) by mxtx
this is the volume where shen qingqiu/shen yuan really gets himself in deeper trouble as despite how adamant he is that the people heā€™s contending with, including luo binghe, are simply fictional characters, he twists the story so much that he finds himself enveloped in it. and he soon has to come to face that his actions do have serious consequences that affect the emotions & actions of others.
also the angstā€¦.luo binghe was so goddamn heartbroken the whole time and sqq couldnā€™t even understand it, it was a lot. i loved it.
new release you havenā€™t read yet but want to?
ascension by nicholas binge
this story reminds me so much of echo by thomas olde heuvelt, one of my top 3 reads of 2022, and while things certainly will be different, i am very excited for what the premise is promising.
most anticipated release for the second half of the year?
the husky & his white cat shizun (vol. 3) by meatbun
this official english translation by seven seas entertainment was set to be released much sooner, im recalling maybe around the first half of the year?? and then it just got set back even further, which absolutely pained me with the way things ended in volume 2. it was definitely probably for a good reason since it promises that the translation will give the story a lot of justice by being more thorough, but damn šŸ„²
imagine starting this series in late january and then finding out you wonā€™t get to know what happens next for about seven whole months. iā€™ve had lots of experience at this point, you would think iā€™d be used to it, but i simply am not. what makes it worse is that there are already fans out there who know what happens, they know the story from beginning to end. and for those who couldnā€™t understand chinese, there were fan translations to help include those better with english into the fandom, but now thatā€™s gone, since seven seas has taken the rights of the official english translations.
this volume isnā€™t set to come out until september. i wholeheartedly cannot wait another moment, and yet i am simply hereā€¦.waiting :ā€™)
biggest disappointment?
maniac (necessary evils, #7) by onley james
you knowā€¦.this series is not perfect by any means. the writing can be pretty average every once in a while, the dialogue cringey at times and almost juvenile, even, despite how dark the content is. but the author writes one hell of a case for each book, and itā€™s a very unique premise for the story as a whole. this is the same author who completely changed me after reading asa & zaneā€™s story in headcase, making me break outside of my comfort zone when it came to what i consume in romance; and the fact that i actually enjoyed it??
as someone who has just recently experienced this same thing with danmei, this is something iā€™ll always appreciate her for because it was a huge jump out of my comfort zone that i wouldā€™ve never given a second thought to before but i was already five books into the series so there was no turning back, i was committed.
with this very interesting take on the found family trope, and the clear care that the author took regarding the subject of these psychopaths handling these grim cases, i was very much sad about having to say goodbye to the characters because i donā€™t think this is something i couldā€™ve read by anyone else, and i donā€™t think thereā€™s anything similar. so it made it even more disappointing when with this particular relationship in this final book, all the build-up that had been written of this dynamic from all the way back to unhinged, just suddenly collapsed and didnā€™t feel nearly fully resolved. the subject matter, especially with thomasā€™ painful backstory, was just as dark and difficult to read as the others, and it felt personal because of course it was, he was the center of this entire project that made this story. butā€¦.it was hard to reckon with knowing how the plot itself actually was pretty solid but then just kinda tied itself up way too neatly by the end?
i like this found family, i really really do, and itā€™s nice to know that they get their happy endings, but the way it was written felt so easy. what these characters were doing were pretty huge on a national scale and all eyes are on them due to their fame & popularity, and yes i can believe that the system maybe is just that oblivious, maybe thatā€™s why theyā€™re even doing this in the first place, but a part of me was hoping to see much more tension, more stakes built that puts these characters all in all in a very precarious position. this final book hints at that in the synopsis but it doesnā€™t follow through that well, because again, everything just seemed pretty rushed and a bit lackluster in execution once this final mystery was solved with a bloody red bow. the closest to these characters getting into any trouble was when zane in headcase, as a budding crime reporter, was actually pretty damn close to completely unraveling all the secret dealings that the mulvaney family were involved with. but then he meets asa, and wellā€¦here he goes becoming a part of the mulvaneys and easing into their operation with his own skill set as a reporter, which you gotta love for him.
if i look at this from a different angle, i can see another reader possibly enjoying this because again, this series could just be a nod to how fucked up the justice system is that a group of psychopaths are the ones to rid these terrible people off the streets. what theyā€™re doing isnā€™t evil at all, itā€™s just as a minor character tells zane in headcase, that if what the mulvaneys were doing was to be revealed to the whole goddamn world, a great majority would probably be thankful for it because these people theyā€™re taking out are genuinely awful and completely irredeemable. so no, i donā€™t wish for the mulvaneys to get punished, theyā€™ve already been through enough in their own pasts and they deserve to get to live this very unconventional and comfortable life with each other; especially noah and zane.
is this an outcome that any good therapist would wish for these two in particular?? hell noā€¦.but theyā€™re happy and theyā€™ve been through enough neglect & abuse in their childhoods, let them be pampered by their psychopathic lovers and be part of a family that has well and done proven they would literally kill for them to secure their protectionā€¦.because they already have.
at the end of the day, i guess for a finaleā€¦i just expected more, personally?? and it felt a little flat for me is all. the more time goes on, the more i donā€™t feel all that positive about my enjoyment of the final book. but i still have soft feelings for the characters, and it does kill me to think i simply donā€™t understand the story as well as i wish i couldā€™ve.
the ending just wasnā€™t entirely for me, sad to say. and the writing, didnā€™t do a lot as i hoped for.
so yeahā€¦.thereā€™s that šŸ˜… (iā€™m definitely using this as my goodreads review)
biggest surprise?
hawk mountain by connor habib
see, the writing style was pretty interesting, which was a bit of a surprise on its own since it was just so completely unlike a lot of what iā€™m used to reading. but even more so, the big surprise lied in a plot twist that happened in the story. and now, with this twist, it was something i already had predicted, but it happened so much sooner than i had thought and so to see how the author wrote the aftermath, the next 200 or so pages that were still left in the book, it was very impressive, making the story that much more intense to me, and it also made me appreciate what he was doing at all.
i also would say another surprise is just the fact that i even read this book at all since i literally read it in the spur of the moment after first hearing about it in a booktube video where the creator was being recommended this title and the words ā€œan English teacher is gaslit by his charismatic high school bullyā€ immediately made me check out this story on libby, which!! would you look at that?? it was available.
i wasnā€™t reading anything else at the moment since at the time, i had to wait to read the next volume for tgcf, so that definitely made for a memorable reading experience :ā€™)
new favorite author?
rou bao bu chi rou, aka ā€˜meatbun doesnā€™t eat meatā€™
if weā€™re looking at the numbers, mxtx would actually be the one whoā€™s a new favorite since iā€™ve read all her translated books up to this point. and while i do respect her a ton as an author, meatbun just really stands out with only two of the works iā€™ve been able to read by her: dumb husky & his white cat shizun + yuwu.
yuwu especially, even though iā€™ve only read the first volume in the seven seas eng. translation, it made a huge impression on me because of how much i loved the way this particular author writes her characters. thereā€™s a different brand of humor thatā€™s unlike mxtx, which makes it difficult to compare, but the relationships meatbun has her characters involved in in particular, especially the main pairing, really throw me for a loop because theyā€™re like the definitions of tragic lovers, but thereā€™s still so much more going on in the story, so much deception and political struggles going on, i deeply enjoy every bit of it. yeah thereā€™s a lot of angst, but the yearningā€¦.i canā€™t get enough. especially being in mo xiā€™s pov.
newest fictional crush?
iā€¦.do not have one. the closest ones i can come up with are michael stirling from when he was wicked by julia quinn + wyatt mckinley from how to say i do by tal bauer. and this is just because theyā€™re definitely my most favorite love interests iā€™ve read this year so far :ā€™)
newest favorite character?
- jiang cheng from grandmaster of demonic cultivation by mxtx
itā€™s as i said to another reader friend of mine (iā€™m doing this word for word lol):
he has anger issues. a bitter human being. he lashes out pretty quickly because he doesnā€™t like being seen as vulnerable. he turned out very closely like his dead mother, who was abusive, but it wasnā€™t written all black & white, at least the story didnā€™t make it so but the fandom took it upon themselves to do as such. he lost a lot and the way cultivation society manipulated that to make him turn against his own brother, was very hard to read.
heā€™s so complicated, i love that in characters. i love characters who get so many chances to be better and they have that potential but their own vices make them fall short, they justā€¦feel so bittersweet, and they have these moments where the sweet shines through a little, but itā€™s not permanent. itā€™s there, but itā€™s fleeting.
book that made you cry?
ahemā€¦.heaven officialā€™s blessing (vol. 4) by mxtx
TWO words: blackwater arc
book that made you happy?
- sent to a fantasy world and now all the men want me (vol. 1) by jaclyn osborn
no, this is not a manga, but it has all the tropes seen in a book where the mc is ā€œisekaiā€™d into a fantasy world and magically gets into a haremā€ (as said by a friend when i was speaking to them about it). and they were right!!
at first, i was going to list the true love experiment by christina lauren as the winner but just a few days ago, i finished this story, and it was so ridiculous and fun and heartwarming and had such an interesting world for evan & me to dive into, i couldnā€™t help myself putting it on here.
itā€™s so incredibly self-indulgent, and it just makes the story even better. i already miss kuya and canā€™t wait to see him & sawyer get their happy ending in the future because it will come. same for lake, lake is a sweetheart who deserves better.
most beautiful book you bought this year?
- all the sinners bleed by s.a. cosby (x)
literally just bought this book and i gotta say, 75% of the reason was because of how stunning the blood moon is on the cover :ā€™)
books you really need to read by the end of the year?
- dark heir (dark rise, #2) by c.s. pacat
- all the hidden paths (the tithenai chronicles, #2) by foz meadows
technically, these books donā€™t even come out until the end of the year. but i know damn well that is there no way iā€™m not reading them before the world turns 2024.
dark heir i have been waiting for for about TWO years now, and all the hidden paths was a pleasant discovery since the first book read pretty much as standalone; but with how expansive the worldbuilding was and same for the court intrigue, plus all the drama that happened near the end, it only makes sense that thereā€™s still a lot to uncover in this universe so i am very much looking forward to it.

Note
*The train door closes as Monokuma waves goodbye to Makoto and Mikado. He opens the box of meatbuns and nods to himself. Once the train got far enough from Kanai Ward, Achlys jumps on top of the train and rips it open. He heads inside and starts looking for Monokuma. He checks the many cars of the train until he eventually finds Monokuma sitting at a table with his back turned. Achlys walks over to him and draws his sword. He aims his sword and runs it through Monokuma's chest. Surprisingly, the head, which reveals to be a melon head with a string attached to the box of meatbuns. Confused, Achlys checks the box of meatbuns, noticing the many grenade pins that was pulled out of the buns. Achlys opens up one of the meatbuns, finding a grenade inside.*
Tumblr media
"Heh. Crafty." *The grenades explodes with the train. MOnokuma was standing in a grass field looking at the explosion from a distance.*
Tumblr media
"Nice. Didn't think that would actually work." *He sees something black coming towards him.* "Nevermind. He's still going." *Achlys crashes in front of Monokuma, unphased.* "Damn. You're tough."
Tumblr media
"I will give you that one, bear. You're smarter than I thought. If this were any other situation, we might've been friends."
Tumblr media
"Maybe......Who even hired you anyway? What's your grudge with me? I didn't nothing wrong to you."
Tumblr media
"Thought you're right, I can't say more. Not like it would matter to everyone's little puppet."
Tumblr media
"Puppet? I'm no one's puppet."
Tumblr media
"Is that a fact now? I've seen some of them and......Yeah. They don't have the greatest opinions of you."
Tumblr media
"Oh I see what you're trying to do here. It's not gonna work, pal. I know my friends and family. I know for a fact that they'd have my back."
Tumblr media
"Didn't your son and creator tried to kill you or ruin your life times before?"
Tumblr media
"That is....For starters, things are complicated with Monodam and for the record, that's a different version of my creator. One whose no longer worth my time. Why are you even bringing this up now?"
Tumblr media
"If you care for your friends, then I must warn you to not return to your home. Otherwise, you'll come across something you'll regret seeing."
Tumblr media
"And what the hell is that supposed to mean? What are you getting at?"
Tumblr media
"Find out fro yourself....If you dare." *Achlys sprouts his wings and takes off.* "Remember! You've been waaarrrrned!"
Tumblr media
"The heck......" *MOnokuma, too curious to get Achlys's words out of his head, summons a monobot piloted jet to pick him up. He gets on board and starts heading home. Meanwhile with Mikado in the Kanai Ward hospital, he hears someone knocking on his hospital room door. Now who could that be?*
*Monokuma was traveling the world, seeking answers for himself. He eventually finds his way to a mysterious city. One where the rain never truly ends. A city, that goes by the name of Kanai Ward. Getting inside wasn't easy, though. Most routes leading into the city were closed off, so he thought outside the box. He was able to get in from above. He safely lands on one of the buildings off the city and sighs.*
Tumblr media
"So this is KanaI ward, huh?.........Damp. Welp. Time to look around." *Monokuma takes out an umbrella and starts roaming the city.* @human-monokuma
Monokuma eventually bumped into a guy with very messy blue hair, he stumbled back and looked at Monokuma.
Tumblr media
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you!" He paused. "Wait... Who are you? I don't think i have seen you before." He was cautious of Monokuma.

Alright, finished Yu Wu, so now we have our character breakdowns!
Our Main Cast:
Murong Lian: I am so serious when I say that a sad (not even tragic, just fucking ā€œsucks I guess, dudeā€ sad!) backstory and working with the MCs towards a mutually beneficial goal IS NOT A REDEMPTION ARC.
Yue Chenqing: a lesson in why ignorance is NOT bliss and you should NOT blindly follow whatever your elders say. (Especially if your ā€œrespectable elderā€ is a known rapist with children he donā€™t even know about under his own roof falling in love with each other šŸ˜¬). I expected that heā€™d experience some traumatic bullshit, but holy shit?
Jiang Yexue: I knew there was something off about him, but holy shit????? Hope he rots in hell, but also, he was obviously tainted by that dark cultivation he took in to save his brotherā€™s life, so maybe the real villain who needs to rot in hell is their rapist daddy šŸ’šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø
Murong Chuyi: I knew he liked Yue Chenqing deep down and that something must have happened to make him turn on Jiang Yexue, but holy shit???? Anyways, hope he gets to beat that foolā€™s AND his rapist daddyā€™s asses in the afterlife before reincarnating into the most peaceful next life. (On another note, wtf is up with meatbun and jumping into blood pools????)
The emperor: I CALLED IT! A MOTHERFUCKING SNAKE AND A COWARD šŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ—£ IF YOU TRUSTED HIM AT ANY POINT, DONā€™T TALK TO ME šŸ—£šŸ—£šŸ—£
Guoshi of Liao/Hua Poā€™an: everyone is afraid of this super ultra powerful, seemingly invincible guoshi and ainā€™t none of yā€™all stopped to think, ā€œwow, this is suspicious; wonder if that one villain IN ALL OUR STORIES maybe didnā€™t die, especially since we keep seeing hints that the one who ā€œkilledā€ him and died with him is ALSO not dead!ā€ What foolishnessā€¦ Anyways, man had plans on plans and still couldnā€™t predict human kindness, what a tool lmao
Princess Mengze: everyone was playing 3D chess with politics but bitch was on 4D; I was shook šŸ˜³
Gu Mang: MY BOY! Wwx if he was written into a trauma porn novel. Stuck. To. His. Convictions!!! Every reveal of his was a whammy on top of a whammy šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ Thought he was out here being Naruto-level foolish without the protagonist halo, but he was really out here playing 4D chess on human morality with the best of them! GIVE HIM HIS FLOWERS šŸ’ šŸ’šŸ’
Mo Xi: love how he loves Gu Mang. Hate how goddamn naive he is. At some points, instead of feeling emotionally overwhelmed, I was just getting secondhand embarrassment. Would obviously NOT survive a political intrigue novel.
Honorable mentions:
Lu Zhanxing: his death fucking suuuuuucked, but he was a real one.
Li Wei: standing up to the emperorā€™s men to protect your lord, LETā€™S GOOOOOOOOOO
Lanā€™er (Changfeng-junā€™s daughter): they didnā€™t have to do her like thatā€¦ (also, is she still alive???? We just kinda drop her and never check back in????)
Madam Jiang/Su Yurou: wish I could be this unbothered in the face of conflict, while having the balls to defy the most terrifying not-quite-human in the known world šŸ˜ glad she survived šŸ’™
Jiang Fuli: fuck, Iā€™m glad HE survived! He deserves it!
Hong Shao: she walked into death bravely and heartbrokenly, and I wish she didnā€™t have to. I hope she and Li Qingqian reincarnate into a better life where they grow to be the old man and hag together, like she dreamedā€¦
Li Qingqian: the way he found out that in attempting to save Hong Shao, he had actually killed his love AND that her murderer ā€œwasā€ the man who saved him? Iā€™m glad Su Yurou got to tell him the truth, and I hope he was able to reunite with Hong Shao in the afterlife

Iā€™ve gotten to the point where I first fell in love with CWN on my initial read of 2ha - the moment he throws the fee into the merchant patriarchā€™s face and beats the awful man up.
The thing is, on reread, I love this moment even more because it, and its outcome, encapsulates everything that is amazing about CWN. The way he never looks away from injustice even if the customs and laws encourage him to - Chen family is right they broke no law but they are morally wrong and that is all that counts for CWN. It is easier to look away, it is encouraged but he wonā€™t - this is the same person who fed starving child Mo Ran when he was a child himself and despite the rest of the world looking away, despite hisĀ ā€œfatherā€ encouraging him to (I will forever love that meeting each other changed BOTH their lives, that is what made CWN leave the monastery and to actually eventually live, live as a human being of flesh and blood; he saved Mo Ran from bodily starvation but MR saved him from emotional starvation.)Ā
He cares about propriety and rules and face but only if they do not contradict justness - the latter trumps everything for him and itā€™s vanishingly rare.
But what I love even more and what is even more telling is when he comes back to the sect, wounded to hell, and INSISTS on being whipped for beating the horrible man because that violates the sect rules. This is basically everything because not only is CWN unique in the novel in not just claiming the rules apply equally to everyone, himself included but living it, however the cost, but also because it encapsulates his accepting that everything has a cost, thatĀ ā€œbecause this is rightā€ may justify the action but it does not justify escaping paying the price for that action.
I am watching him being whipped in public at his insistence for doing a just deed that is against the rules and itā€™s a direct line from there to a man who near the end does his level best to kill Taxian Jun - even though this is the only part remaining of his lover, even though Hua Binan tries to stop it by saying he only needs TXJ to complete the bridge (and surely, most of the people in the bridge are dead already so he only needs a few more corpses so thatā€™s OK, right, stopping bridge wonā€™t bring back all those gazillion dead) and CWN can have him, even though Hua Binan explains that this remnant of Mo Ran has actually resisted full control because of his love for CWN, that this is basically encapsulation and personification of Mo Ran 0.5ā€²s love for him. And CWN thinks of the real Mo Ran and what real, non-zombified, non-controlled Mo Ran would have wanted and also about the world and does his TXJ-destroying spell harder! Because he will always do what is right but itā€™s not easy or smugly perfect, itā€™s wrecking and harrowing but CWN is always willing to do what is right whatever the horrific price he pays (and this price is horrible - CWN never cared about himself much, but he loves Mo Ran more than anything.) Honestly, Meatbun is so good at portraying pure goodness as not cloying or saintly or wholesomely easy, but as so human and fascinating and hard fought and I love that. Itā€™s easier to make anti-heroes interesting than pure unwavering good.Ā
CWN is someone who is not only willing to do what he thinks is right but is always willing to do it in full knowledge that there is a price for that and in full expectation of paying that price, however heavy, and I love that.

怊Original Post HERE怋
怊EDIT: Updated Post HERE怋
My Third Kinktober 2021 Prompt: LINGERIE KINK
Fandom: Haikyu!!
Pairing/s: Yuji Terushima x Shoyo Hinata
It's Terushima's special day, and he only wants one little thing from his "friend" Hinata...
NOTES: I ship Hinata with *literally* everyone (which is why I'm doing these prompts in the first place!), but I'm quite disappointed with how TeruHina is a rarepair ;-; So, here I am writing for our fave fuckboi and his lil spider monkey~ Also, this is probably the longest and kinkiest oneshot I wrote so far and HERE is a reference to what kind of lingerie Hinata's wearing! And honestly, I have a real thing goin' for gorgeous femboys and men who crossdress. Y'ALL ARE DOING THE LAWD'S WORK šŸ˜šŸ™ŒšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ
After Johzenji lost against Karasuno, Terushima asked for Hinata's number and the ginger easily gave it away. Hinata really didn't think much of it; after all, they both played volleyball and he strongly believed that it was important to build relationships and learn from other players!
Terushima texted and called Hinata without fail, and Hinata was always thrilled anytime his phone would ding with notifications. Terushima can sometimes be quite pushy, but he was also actually very charming and personable. The crazy captain simply clicked with Hinata, and the Number One Decoy was just so ecstatic to have met someone who was able to keep up with his wild energy.
Before long, Hinata became addicted to interacting with Terushima to the point where he'd stay up way pass his bedtime and even mastered the art of sneakily responding to the coppertop's messages during class. And, once the both of them earned some free time, they finally got to meet up.
It was innocent at first. They've formed a rather odd friendship, but a friendship nonetheless. And when they met up again, all that they planned to do was to just go around town and hang out. You know... As friends do.
But, of course, fate--or whoever the hell was in charge of this shit--was bored and wanted to play a game. So, while Hinata and Terushima were eating meatbuns together at a convenience store, suddenly Terushima got the overwhelming urge to lean down and lick away the small piece of meat that got stuck on the side of Hinata's mouth.
Terushima could still vividly recall the way Hinata's brown eyes widened, becoming as big and round as volleyballs. It took a good few seconds for Terushima to realize what he had just done, but before he could even react Hinata had gone up on his tiptoes and pressed his lips right smack against Terushima's own.
Terushima was befuddled, dumbstruck, simply and utterly fucking CONFUSED.
What. The. Fuck. Just. Happened?
"Oh..." Hinata looked fearful then once he pulled away, noticing how Terushima has completely malfunctioned and was not responding. "S-Sorry... I misunderstood what was happening. Please don't mind it!"
But it was far too late. A switch had been turned on, and there was NO fucking turning back.
Everything afterwards was a blur. Terushima couldn't remember anymore where they went. Was it his house or Hinata's? He had no fucking idea, all he knew was the sensation of Hinata's warm naked body that melted against his and the sweet moans that continuously spilled out from the little ball of sunshine. Hinata's hands bunching up the bedsheets from beneath him and his legs wrapped around Terushima's waist as he greedily pulled the blonde ever closer while he screamed for more, more, more.
The best and most mindblowing release Terushima's ever experienced, and the intensely satisfying notion of knowing that the person he was into actually reciprocated his interest for once in his entire fucking life.
They never put a label on their relationship. Though if anything, they've gotten much more intimate after that whole ordeal. They still contacted each other, but now whenever they had an opportunity to get together--one way or another--the day always ended with them all tangled up in a bed somewhere.
Terushima was no stranger to the physical debaucheries of life. And initially, he thought that was all there was to it; Hinata was one of the most interesting people he's ever met and it didn't hurt that he was attractive. Hell, Terushima didn't want to admit it, but Hinata was even fucking cuter than Kiyoko!
But one day, it wasn't just his dick that was looking forward to seeing Hinata again. His heart started to seek for the cheery little spider monkey, too.
It really meant nothing, though...right?
{ā€¢ā€¢ā€¢ā™”ā€¢ā€¢ā€¢}
"Oh, Hinata~ How much longer are ya gonna be?" Terushima called out from his room in a singsong voice, and Hinata could just hear the condescending smirk on his stupidly handsome face.
"J-Just give me some more time!" Hinata replied, happy that the playboy couldn't see how ridiculously red he was as he stared down at the...strange garment he was holding in his hands inside the bathroom.
Today was Terushima's birthday, and the Johzenji player asked Hinata if he could come over to his house to hang out to which Hinata instantly agreed. He always had a lot of fun spending time with the blonde and Hinata wanted to repay Terushima in some way for their friendship.
So when Hinata asked what present Terushima wanted once he arrived at his house, Terushima's eyes gleamed. His lips curled up into a devious smirk, silently walking over to his dresser and pulling out a box.
"What's this?" Hinata raised a brow when the box was handed over to him, making Terushima chuckle.
"My gift. I have it aaall ready, so just go to the bathroom and see it for yourself~" Terushima hummed, making his way to the bed and plopping down on it.
And now here Hinata was, his whole body frozen as he clasped onto the fabric so tightly that his knuckles were turning white. It was just so...foreign to him. Boys don't wear this type of apparel. Right?
"Hinata~ You good?"
"ACK! Y-Yeah!" Hinata snapped back to reality, nodding his head furiously even though Terushima couldn't see him.
Scrutinizing the 'gift' again, Hinata gulped and straightened up. This was nothing! Why the hell should he be nervous?
Steeling his resolve, he began stripping his clothes off in exchange for the new ones...if they could even be considered as clothes.
Meanwhile, Terushima was whistling as he was sitting on his bed waiting for Hinata. He can be quite a tease, but maybe he pushed it too far today.
In all honesty, he bought the gift as more of a joke. He was scrolling through social media one late night when a random ad popped up featuring men's lingerie. Naturally, it piqued Terushima's intrigue and he ended up ordering a set online with a certain shortie in mind.
He was definitely curious to see how Hinata would react. The redhead always had the best and most entertaining reactions, surely this time would be no different when he discovers just what kind of gift Terushima was implying.
But it's been a couple of minutes now, and there was only dead silence from the bathroom connected to Terushima's room. He really hadn't expected it. He was looking forward to Hinata getting flustered or loudly complaining, but this new reaction was also amusing in and of itself.
Finally not taking it anymore, Terushima was just about to get up and see how Hinata was doing when the redhead beat him to it.
"I-I'm ready!"
With no grace whatsoever, Hinata slammed open the door and briskly stepped out. Terushima bursted into laughter, but it soon died down once he registered Hinata's appearance.
From head to toe, Hinata was as red as a tomato. He couldn't muster up the courage to make any eye contact, gritting his teeth and anxiously fiddling with his fingers.
But... Oh, what he was wearing.
Hinata donned a pair of light yellow lacy lingerie, the fabric slightly see-through along with a floral pattern that adorned it. The top clung on flatteringly to his chest, his perky nipples taut against it. The bottom, however, left little to the imagination yet still had Terushima unequivocally mesmerized.
The bottom only had two flimsy strings on each side of Hinata's hips to support it, and his cock was held in place by the sheer material.
Slowly, steadily, Terushima rose to his full height and approached Hinata with calculated steps. He had to be careful. Like a predator to its prey, he didn't want to scare the shorter boy away.
He circled Hinata, eyes hooded as he licked his lips and studied him intently. Terushima really didn't think he'd be this into it, but FUCK he was so glad he got Hinata to wear it. It was like admiring a goddamn perfect human work of art.
"T-Terushima..." Hinata murmured, voice shaky and heart threatening to jump right out of him. "D...Do you like your g-gift?"
Terushima immediately halted, standing right in front of Hinata. He cocked his head to the side, as if processing the question, before he grinned.
"Like it?" He then leaned down, his hot breath fanning against Hinata's sensitive ear. "I fucking love it, Hinata." He growled, grabbing Hinata's arm and practically throwing him to the bed.
Hinata was given no chance to react, for in a blink of an eye Terushima was on top of him. Still with that same mischievous grin, Terushima crashed his lips against Hinata's and lulled his tongue into a passionate dance. And just like that, all of Hinata's hesitations faded away as he moaned and slung his arms around Terushima's neck.
Terushima placed his hands on Hinata's waist, still kissing him as he slowly trailed his hands up Hinata's body. Terushima was a rough lover, but he also had times like this when he can be very sensual and took his precious time. Everywhere his skillful hands glided set Hinata's skin burning and yearning for MORE.
Finally, Terushima stopped his sweet assault once both of his hands were now laid atop Hinata's chest. Terushima then pulled away from Hinata's lips, a thin trail of saliva connecting their tongues with Hinata's face completely flushed and eyes gone nearly black with desire as he stared up at Terushima with a longing expression.
Terushima chuckled lowly, leaning his forehead against Hinata's and staring deeply into his eyes. "Just wait, lil spider monkey. I know what you want, just lemme appreciate you a bit more~"
And appreciate he did. He was straddling Hinata, his cock throbbing almost painfully as it strained against his pants. He licked his lips once more as he fully took in Karasuno's Number Ten. His Number Ten.
"You look fucking sexy, spider monkey." Terushima groaned, grinding slightly against Hinata's crotch and receiving a sharp gasp from the boy. It made Terushima snicker, smirking down at him. "I was going easy on you, y'know. There were other more scandalous sets, but this was one of the few that was a bit more tamed."
"Y-You didn't have to go easy on me..." Hinata replied, his breaths coming out fast and shallow. "I want you to do whatever you want. I can take it, Terushima."
Terushima paused, his heart skipping a beat and cheeks reddening. He then sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he gave Hinata an almost sheepish smile. He was usually so confident, but this little pipsqueak somehow brought him right down to his knees.
"Oh, yeah? Well, I'm gonna hold you on to that." He chuckled, his fingers starting to play with Hinata's nipples. Hinata's back arched, desperate for more. And Terushima was only more than happy to oblige, one of his hands fondling Hinata's chest while the other alternated between his nipples to flick and pinch on them. He watched with intent rapture as the peaks hardened against the cloth, and he couldn't resist it as he dropped down to bite on one of his nipples.
Hinata's eyes shot wide, a delectable sound between a sob and a gasp escaping him. His hands instinctively grabbed onto Terushima's hair, tugging helplessly on it as Terushima's mouth engulfed his nipple. Hinata whimpered as Terushima's teeth mercilessly sank into his nipple, but moaned breathlessly as Terushima would also suck on it and swipe his tongue against it. The sensation of Terushima's warm, wet mouth and the way the slightly coarse fabric was rubbing against his overstimulated buds were simply all too much.
"T-Terushima..!" Hinata whined. "P-Please... Want more!"
Terushima laughed, the sound reverberating throughout Hinata's body. He peered up from between Hinata's chest, his toothy smile reaching all the way up to his ears.
"Geez, spider monkey, you're SO impatient!" Terushima teased. "Fine, this time it's your turn to spoil the birthday boy. How do you want me?"
"O-On your back, please."
"Whatever you say~" Terushima winked, rolling onto his back. Hinata clumsily scrambled into position, causing Terushima to laugh again. Hinata had no sense of elegance at all, but that was what made him fucking adorable.
Soon, Hinata's ass hovered over Terushima's face while Hinata's head was above Terushima's crotch. Hinata hastily unzipped Terushima's damn jeans, enthusiastically prying it and his boxers down to reach his ultimate goal.
"Gwa!" Hinata let out one of his weird noises once Terushima's erection was freed and it whacked his cheek, making Terushima snicker. To anyone else, it would've been a major turn off though somehow Hinata made it hot as fucking hell.
But Terushima's snickering was turned into a groan, Hinata not wasting any time at all as he grabbed Terushima's cock and swallowed it whole. Some tears sprung to Hinata's eyes, trying his best to keep it in his throat though he failed as he jerked away and coughed.
"Hinata, slow down!" Terushima reprimanded, though he sounded more worried than anything. His voice then softened, his hands squeezing Hinata's ass. "My birthday's not over yet, so take your time. Don't push yourself too hard, spider monkey."
Hinata nodded, instantly feeling much more relaxed. Slowly this time, he opened his mouth and carefully eased Terushima's cock into him again. Hinata felt Terushima's cock twitch as it slid deeper and deeper into his canal, a strangled grunt violating Terushima's body just as his member hit the back of Hinata's throat.
"Fuuuck, yeah, that's it... You're a good fucking slut, aren't ya, spider monkey?" Terushima moaned, giving Hinata's ass a smack. Hinata flinched, his cry muffled by Terushima's cock. But it actually felt fucking great, and Terushima smirked as he noticed Hinata wiggle his ass a bit shyly as he silently pleaded for more.
Terushima then grasped Hinata's panty, yanking it sideways so that he was still wearing it though now Terushima had a clear and fucking perfect view of Hinata's ass. He spanked it again a tad harder, absolutely revelling in how Hinata's fair skin quickly blossomed red and left a faint handprint.
"Hmm? What's this?" Terushima cupped Hinata's balls, but wasn't touching the exact spot he knew Hinata really wanted. "Does me spanking you turn you on? You truly are a perv, huh, spider monkey~?"
Hinata pulled off Terushima's cock with a lewd pop, his own shaft leaking with precum and the liquid dripping onto and ruining Terushima's shirt. He turned his head to glance over his shoulder, his lustful gaze locking on Terushima.
"Teruuu~" Hinata whined, a cute pout etched upon his lips. "C'mon, you know what I want! Don't you want us both to feel good? You always make me feel so fucking good, Teru."
Terushima went rigid for a few seconds, his face flushing. "You little... You know how weak I am when you call me that." He groaned. "Tch, fine! How the hell am I supposed to deny such a cute fucking cockslut?"
Hinata grinned triumphantly, letting out a satisfied little mewl as Terushima finally wrapped his big hand around Hinata's aching cock. Hinata, in return, joyously took in Terushima's dick once again inside his mouth. He also began grinding his hips, his precum acting as a sort of lubricant as Hinata's cock smoothly slid up and down in Terushima's hand.
Terushima's breath hitched and his eyes were blown wide, almost salivating at the utterly fantastic show this naughty little redhead was putting on. Just. For. Him.
No one could EVER fucking compare.
The last straw of his restraint shattering, Terushima stilled Hinata's ministrations as he firmly placed his hands on his ass. Hinata, puzzled, was just about to question it before he yelped when he felt Terushima's tongue prodding at his asshole.
"Did I tell you to stop?" Terushima smirked, looking so fucking erotic with his tongue not bothering to move away from Hinata's hole as he spoke. "Keep sucking, slut."
"AH..!" Hinata cried out as Terushima used both of his hands to hit his ass cheeks, but shivered as Terushima rubbed them soothingly afterwards. Hinata once again engulfed Terushima's cock, goosebumps breaking out across his skin as he could feel the cool metal of Terushima's tongue piercing poking at his anus.
Terushima used his fingers to stretch out Hinata's hole, and without any warning his tongue entered right in. Hinata nearly came right then and there, going cross eyed and his drool dribbling down Terushima's cock as he went totally blank for a split second.
Terushima couldn't keep the smug smirk off his face, hugely aware of the effect he had on the other boy. And Terushima definitely did not disappoint, utilizing his piercing to his advantage. As his tongue expertly slithered inside Hinata, the stud would scrape lightly along his walls.
Every time this happened, Hinata only got more fired up. Shameless moans and groans continuously got ripped from him, bopping his head rhythmically and sloppily. He eagerly grinded his ass against Terushima's mouth, pretty much sitting on his face at this point.
Terushima was just as ardent. Whenever Hinata would go down, Terushima would time it exactly and slam his hips up to make his cock go as deep as possible into his throat. And the way Hinata would tense up and repress from gagging was oh so sinfully and wonderfully intoxicating.
Terushima sensed Hinata's walls fluttering around his tongue and knew that it wouldn't be long until he'd explode. And as much as he wanted to prolong it and tease his little spider monkey a bit more, Terushima also couldn't hold himself back.
"I'm gonna cum, Hinata!" Terushima groaned, slipping a finger inside Hinata's hole and pumping it in time to his tongue's movements.
"T-Teru..!" Hinata gasped as he pulled off Terushima's cock, though his hand was rapidly stroking Terushima's length slick with Hinata's drool and Terushima's precum. "C-Cum on me! Please, Teru, I want your cum on me!"
"Fuuuck, Hinata..!" Terushima shouted, finally pushed off the very edge. His hips snapped up from the sheer intensity of it all, an animalistic growl escaping his lips and his breath stuttering.
Hinata shortly followed, his body completely shutting down as his eyes rolled to the back of his head and his legs trembled. His hips gave in, and if not for Terushima supporting Hinata's backside then Hinata would be nothing more than a broken ragdoll.
Terushima slowly drew away from Hinata's hole, making Hinata shudder and a small whimper wracking his body. With the little strength he had left, Hinata grabbed onto Terushima's thighs to keep himself stable and then rolled onto his back on the bed.
Terushima sat up, looking over at Hinata and feeling his fire being stoked again. Hinata's bra was entirely soaked with Terushima's semen, eyes hazy and expression looking totally blissful and fucked out. Hinata then smiled ditzily, scooping some of the cum off with his fingers before placing them in his mouth.
"Mhm, Teru..." Hinata murmured, licking his fingers salaciously. He didn't dare break eye contact with Terushima, his dark blush reaching even to the tips of his ears as he grinned up at Terushima and stuck his fingers even deeper into his mouth as he ravenously lapped up the sperm. "You tash shooo good, Teru~" He giggled, voice a bit muffled due to his fingers.
"Jesus Christ..." Terushima got the air knocked out of him, and he swore his heart stopped for a full damn second. His cock hardened again, pulsing with need. He gulped, helplessly paralyzed and hopelessly transfixed. "Fucking hell, Hinata... I wanna be more than friends with you."
Hinata removed his fingers, the inside of his mouth stained white. Terushima waited with bated breath for Hinata's response, having only just realized what the actual fuck slipped out of his moronic mouth.
Hinata blinked, completely dumbfounded, before he gave a cute though confused smile. "Uhh... Bestfriends?"
"Dammit, I'll take that for now." Terushima didn't wait another moment as he pounced on Hinata like a beast in heat, smashing their lips together.
But next time, Terushima wouldn't be so forgiving...

Chapter 206
Oh lord, where do I start.
The doctor is actually crazier than the patient. No wonder He Yu got worse. Did they bond over their mutual obsession of XQC?? Or maybe, in his twisted mind, Anthony actually somewhat believes he has a relationship with He Yu, and in fact, does not? And how the hell did he obtain He Yu's memories? Through the therapy sessions?
I can't tell if Anthony values HY at all, or just his position in XQC's life. Not sure if Anthony wants He Yu for him.
Also, the pokemon toy! Anthony fucking stole it when he was messing with XQC's meds!! That's why, when He Yu went to look around in XQC"s house, he did not find it! I thought it was strange that he only noticed the medicine on the table! If He Yu had found the toy, he would have known XQC cared šŸ˜
Xie Qing Cheng really owned Anthony, but paid a steep price. My God. Will he even survive? His poor brain. That was brutal. Anthony absolutely would have killed him, if he wasn't interrupted. If CM did not show up, would He Yu have come in time? Police's arrival also changed the way HY reacted to the whole thing. If HY was the one who came first to Anthony bashing XQC, he probably would have killed the doctor . But what happened now, it was a disaster. HY only showed care for his face in front of the police, CM, the organisation. Trying to protect his position. And kept trying to 1up CM by bragging about sex ?? That's so sad and it HURTS. This is not the time, He Yu!! All he can see is that CM came to take away his XQC and ignores the fact that XQC's skull was cracked open with most likely very serious consequences šŸ¤§ To be fair, it probably took HY's everything to control himself. The way his movements were so slow.
I think XQC is just going to finish his work restoring the notes and go into a coma. Then He Yu will snap out of it, maybe talk to some people, realize XQC had feelings for him, cry, then begin his quest to save XQC. And suffer all the pain in the world until he brings him back and finds a way to restore his health. Lucky us, we get to suffer with him. Meatbun, the queen of šŸ”ŖšŸ”ŖšŸ”Ŗ
Btw, I think Chen Man x Anthony ship has sunk before it could leave the harbor and sail. I don't think it can recover from damage, there is no fucking way CM will forgive AnthonyšŸ˜…
I'm really interested to know if those who hated Chen Man more than Anthony still feel the same šŸ˜„

I have so much to say about this chapter!!! I'll never shut up about it!!! I love this chapter!! Okay!!! It's the best!!
102. Only I know you best!!!
And he yu, you do. And he has given you that privilege, trust me buddy it's a big deal for xqc. And tbh he yu knows and that's why his cherish and respect phase lasted for as long as did because he knows how big deal it was for xqc to let him know this stuff!!!
Okay enough now we discuss what happens in this "phenomenal" Chapter!!
First off He yu just called Li Ruoqiu aunt!!! Omg this kid is hilarious. He is too petty.
Xqc is drinking and smoking after his brief encounter with his ex-wife he seems unsettled. He was affected by her cheating on him. Xie xue took li Ruoqiu to a hotel and he yu visits him.
Xqc doesn't want he yu to see him like this, more exposed and more vulnerable. He's already shown him too much and xqc wants to put walls. So many that he hits he yu with a lamp when they start arguing about li Ruoqiu. And when xie qingcheng tries to say that he deserved getting cheated on. He yu finally loses and kisses to shut him up and xie qingcheng hits him again in the same spot and this kid is bleeding from his head but he won't give up, he wants xie qingcheng and he starts giving him a head. Xqc can't believe that he yu was actually sucking him off and he is turned on but tries to stop he yu but he yu is stubborn as hell.
Tumblr media
Ngl this part hurt. Poor baby he got rejected so many times.
Xqc not letting He yu see his face when he came because he didn't wanna be even more vulnerable in front of He Yu.
Then this long ass chapter continues for 10k smut!!! Which is all very delicious!!! I want to comment on each and every fucking line of this chapter. Unfortunately I don't have that much time šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜
But key points are he Yu's breeding kink. Oh gosh meatbun wasn't kidding when she said Haitang version alpha he yu would give xqc 18 kids. His breeding kink is seriously no joke!!! Lmao
Tumblr media
This gem!!! Lmao. I can't with this kid!!!
And then he yu saying that he will get xie qingcheng pregnant because he has more money than xie qingcheng and he can support xie qingcheng!!! My lungs!!!
Tumblr media
Experienced, skilled and handsome man!!
And Xqc taking initiative. First to kiss he yu!!! And then to ride he yu when He yu edged him. Xqc feeling good!!! He lost himself. He lost control. Its all because things have changed between them after the titanic arc!!! Also being hurt about li Ruoqiu's sudden appearance. Love irritated, frustrated and horny xqc!! Xie ge has the potential to be very horny too. I can totally see it.
Also this with he yu xie qingcheng feels like he is needed and not a spare tire. Not a replacement but truly needed him.
He yu saying he can be better to xie qingcheng than Li Ruoqiu's ever been to him. Omg!!
Also I loved the part He Yu said that xie qingcheng house is too small and can only fit one person and that person should be him. I swear, are you realising what you said!!! You love him dude! Just realise it already.
He Yu addressed xie qingcheng as his wife while fucking him!!! *falls to the ground and died*
Despite everything xqc says and no matter how parental and manly he is, he likes being topped for sure. Xqc himself can't convince me that he doesn't because he loved being topped! I totally understand what he yu means when he tells xqc that he was meant to bottom.
I find it endearing that He yu loves it when xqc scolds him. *he's so whipped, it's embarrassing that he hasn't realised it yet.*
He yu kissed his tears omg!!!
But loved how he yu overstimulated and made xqc feel good all night till he passed out!!! Because he yu went all out kept his promise to fuck xie qingcheng all night from the bed to the bench to the shower then back to bed till xqc passed out!!!
I love everything about this chapter just everything!!! Like so good! I've read it so many times!!!
He Yu's Jealousy towards Li Ruoqiu and his unrealised feelings for xie qingcheng made him break his promise to xie qingcheng. He yu is very impulsive. Well xqc broke too and even he was really impulsive too.
Also He Yu's stamina is no joke!! Lord have mercy on xqc's ass!!!
Ngl! This entire chapter serves as a serotonin for me !!!
Somethings he yu said that basically killed me !!
When He Yu said he couldn't live without xqc while fucking him. (Omg you do know that this a confession right.)
He yu also saying that he wants to live xqc forever and fuck him forever! (This too)
Loved it when he yu was trying to compile a list of reasons why he was better for xqc than Li Ruoqiu! This was so funny.
At this point He yu has already married xqc in his head!
