i agree with you about being frustrated with how often this fandom has top/bottom discussions but its a pretty common talking point in most fandoms so YR isn’t special for that

No I totally agree with you that it’s a common topic of discussion in a lot of fandoms, but there’s a particular way we have it in this fandom that really grinds my gears.

And don’t get me wrong, I don’t care if you hc Wilmon to be vers or if you think Wille tops or Simon tops or whatever - it’s the justification and reasoning that I’m seeing behind these headcanons that I find deeply irritating and, frankly, insulting and kind of homophobic.

This is going to get long so forgive me.

1. I’ve seen so many posts talk about how the show is “brave” and “subversive” by having Wille go down on Simon or potentially bottom, but like - what the hell are we even talking about? In what world is it subversive to show a queer character having queer sex?? What are we subverting?? This show has never shown us anything with its intimate scenes other than two guys that are deeply in love and really horny for eachother and I hate that we keep bringing this shit up!!!

2. I’ve also seen people say that it was very important for us to see Wille moving to go down on Simon in the tape in S1 because it’s “more damning evidence that he’s queer” and otherwise Wille could’ve just said he was horny and desperate but he was actually imagining he was with a girl in his denial statement. But be so fucking forreal, in what world is that a thing he could argue in an official statement to the press? He’d be the laughing stock of the world.

Wilhelm isn’t more or less gay because he went down on Simon vs the other way around. He’d still be having queer sex because he’s having sex with another guy. Arguing that the framing here is for anything other than a plot device so Wille’s face wouldn’t be visible to set up the denial is actually kind of ridiculous.

As someone very smart on here said, “I’m sorry that you apparently have a tier list of sex acts ranging from “kinda straight” to “Gaylord” 😭😭 get well soon, couldn’t be me.”

Imagine for one second Simon was the one giving Wille head? Would you have criticized the show for that?? And WHY?!

3. Next: saying that Wilmon’s relationship is “equal” because you think they’re vers is…a take and a half lmao. What the fuck does being vers have to do with a relationship being equal?? Why are we assigning arbitrary hierarchies to sexual preferences??? Why are we implying that topping and bottoming are somehow not equal and you have to carefully balance both, when, ideally, it’s just whatever the fuck everyone is into???

Wille isn’t selfish for topping. Simon isn’t sacrificing anything by bottoming. They’re fucking because they’re in love and they want to 😭

TLDR: Wille doesn’t suck Simon’s dick for class liberation. Simon riding Wille isn’t a commentary on how he’s “girl-coded.” It’s just sex, leave them alone to have a good time and stop assigning agendas to queer sex.

I am by no means an expert on the subject at all, but if I could give one piece of advice to people who are job hunting, it is to always save a copy of the description of any job you apply for. It’s getting RIDICULOUS out there (at least in my experience/industry) in terms of how long between when a job gets posted and when they start contacting applicants for interviews, and unless you have a photographic memory, or the job is still active on the website you found it on, you will forget details about the job before you get invited to interview and it’s probably not a strong sign if you ask the interviewer what the heck the job is again (even if it’s fair given the elapsed time and how many applications people expect you to have going at once).

If it’s not already available in PDF format, just click the print option on your browser’s menu when you’re on the webpage with the job listing and when it gives you the window with the printer specifications, select “save as PDF” on the dropdown of available printers instead and save it to the same folder where you’re saving your cover letters/resumes/application materials with the name of the company/job title/date you applied in the file name. easy peasy. I still forget to do this occasionally but even remembering to do it half the time has saved me a lot of trouble overall.

job hunting sucks and is demoralizing on the best day, so keep your head up, do little things like this to make your life easier, and remember that I love you 💖 you got this!

so firstly, I think the idea to bake together would come about really randomly! like when you're hanging out w him casually, watching a movie or eating together or sth, you'd mention how much you love chocolate brownies and he'd be like, then let's bake them U ´ᴥ` U ! <3 baby really is ready to do everything as long as it makes you happy :(

I think in leehan's case, he'd be the one following your instructions, simply bcuz he trusts you to do the hard stuff, but he'll help out too of course!! albeit a bit confused and tinsy bit clumsily but he'll be super careful not to make a mess :'( <3

he'll go extra quiet while concentrating and you would not want to disturb him while he's being so serious abt it but at the same time, I can imagine the irresistible adorable little pout he'd make. he's just so cute, I can't :(( </3

he'd be the one taking the brownies out the oven once they're done of course! since he doesn't want u to touch it while it's hot. :(

and then you realize that you don't have any ice cream to put on the brownies, and your frustration would show on ur face. the second he finds out what ur displeased about he'll be running off to sort it out :(( </3 it has to be perfect, he wants you to enjoy the treat to the max!! ♡ˎˊ˗

and as you guys sit down to have the brownies, (that surprisingly came out so good!) his plate would be long forgotten as he'd just be staring at you with heart eyes the whole time, just watching you eat. he'd just tell you he loves to see you eating well :( :( :(

I'm all ears about bottom Minthara.

I keep thinking how nice it would be if there was a second scene for her romance when you reach act 3 and get together with her. And for it to be softer and more tender in comparison to the scene at the goblin party. I desperately need it and to have Tav take care of her please

I'm so normal about bottom Minthara, not because of the smut, but it shows her ultimate trust in Tav as their relationship evolves from Act 1 to Act 3. Given what she's been through, it's understandable for her to want to be in control, because let's be honest throughout the centuries under Lolth and then the Absolute, when was the last time her mind was her own for her to make a choice, for herself? (hint: "Tonight, I wanted this - for myself.") So for her to willingly trust Tav to let that go, even just for a few moments. Alurlssrin is unselfish, deep, unbreakable love, but do you know what Tav is? Tav is her tri âm tri kỷ (know the sound, know the self) in both romantic and platonic ways, do you understand?!?!?!? Her scars are invisible and Tav is the only one who sees through them, that is why she only cares for how Tav sees her through their eyes *go outside and scream*

Between "Tonight there will be no voices, no orders, no gods... I belong only to you." (Act 2/3) and "Minthara is my home." in the epilogue, I'd say there's nothing but soft between them as time goes on and it gets softer as each night passes.

The dream is a very soft romance scene after "I belong only to you." which is a total contrast to Act 1 (bonus is including the alurlssrin dialogue during aftercare). I wish Tav could also comfort her after saving her from Orin because that level of trauma coming back, ooof.

this was going to be like a mile long essay but i just realized the most concise way to say it is that "it feels like a retcon that blitz has been so resentful and hostile towards fizz all this time since he was supposed to feel guilty" is simply not a good criticism when we have been shown, time and time again, that blitz's number one defense mechanism when he feels guilty or judged or attacked is to lash out, to deflect and ignore all his responsibility, and to shift the blame to someone else. that's like. his defining character flaw

Okay like don’t get me wrong- Hikari absolutely knows how to cut his losses. As much as he loves his friends, he’s mature enough to put his feelings aside the moment they get in the way of his goals, and fight them if they refuse to back down.

But. When presented with the ability to loop back in time? An infinite amount of do-overs, which could be used to find a better ending… at his disposal…. Hm.

Imagine he wakes up in his room in the castle town. Huh, that’s … odd? He clearly remembered being in the Leaflands when he fell asleep last night. He’d remember — he had helped Partitio and Osvald set up camp once Ochette found a good spot in the forest. He clearly remembered sitting around the campfire with his seven found family members as they all discussed the next chapters of their lives, talking about all the places they would go once their journey was over. They’d scatter across the continent once again, like they were before they’d met a few months prior. He remembered Partitio’s warm embrace as they fell asleep together in their shared tent, along with the odd twinge of melancholy, wondering how much longer….

…well, that was before. All that matters is that he was in the Leaflands with his friends last night, and now he’s … here. Back in Hinouema? Hikari quickly crossed off the idea in his mind that somebody had taken him in his sleep last night because — aside from the obvious lack of motive — the distance between Ku and the Leaflands was a multiple day’s trip. It’d be impossible to make it here in a single night.

Yet, he’s here. He’s here???

Upon getting up and opening the door, Hikari notes two things. For one, the castle town was in very surprisingly good shape, as if Mugen had never staged a coup at all. Second of all…

“Lord Hikari! You’re up late…”

Yeah that’s as far as my creativity got me here, but I imagine that once Hikari figures out that it’s a time loop that he’s stuck in, he considers trying to use this power to keep all of his friends alive.

Yes, realistically, it’s pretty naive to expect to be able to save everyone alive through his own actions alone, but … It couldn’t hurt to try. After all, he is in a position to help everyone out, right? It’d be pretty terrible to not save his friends now that he has the power to undo their deaths. He could be their guiding light — but better! The gods seem to agree, how else could he have gained this power?

So … maybe just one try. Or two? Or five … or maybe eight. Well, if he paid more attention to Kazan and pried a little more, maybe his words could finally reach him. It’d save the group the effort of having to fight a god, after all.

Hikari’s village wouldn’t have to go up in flames if he fought back harder, he and Ritsu could possibly walk the same path once again if he could just convince him, win him over with his words … and Mikka wouldn’t have to lose her older brother! Tsuki wouldn’t have to die, and maybe Kazan wouldn’t throw himself into those damn flames— AND!!! He could help his friends too!!! He could help Osvald save Elena faster, save Ori from stabbing herself, or — now that he has the blessing of retrospect, he could push Temenos in the right direction a little bit faster so that Crick wouldn’t have to die!!!

So … ten tries? Twenty?

Before he knows it, he’s been looping for months, nearly a year, and he’s still trying…
