finished the princess luz fic with the power of inflammation and hyperfixation on my side :) this final chapter involves hunter and luz arguing about a wide variety of important things once the dust has settled after the whole belos murder thing. and hashing out some of their issues.

first chapter is here if anyone wants to read from the beginning - it's a 33k mostly-horror-suspense fic about luz having been raised by belos as his daughter, with hunter having been raised to protect her as a captain of her guard. & the shit that happens when belos decides to project a lot of terrible horrible no good very bad feelings n expectations onto luz. it DOES have a happy (or at least very hopeful) ending, but there Is quite a bit of horror and murder on the way to get there.

Uhhh "side Chaos" type what-if situation bc I was inspired by fucking Lego Monkey Kid of all things. Deets below! (And LMK ending/spoilers for those who watch.) Its VERY ALL OVER THE PLACE FORGIVE ME

I think the argument that sways them is the fact that the ordered world is suffocating everyone. The world as it is, its Plato's cave. The unknown, the chaos, its whats outside. Remember how tye point of Side Order is that an Ordered World would be shit, bc itd mean something perfectly stagnant?

Chaos leans HARD into that. But does it in a way that tears the current world apart. Burns whats going bad, but also whats going good.

"Look at everyone, writhing in pain, trying to fit in.

Wouldnt it be better, if those boxes were all gone?"

It slithers to whisper in 3s ear.

"Including yours?"

It starts with arguing abt the world's state. And then it pierces them where it hurts.

A life that they couldve lived. Alt3, yknow. A life outside the war.

...they look so much happier there...

The voice of chaos goes on, convincing them that if they join It, the world will be saved by them, which ALREADY gets them on board almost immediately. Then with the promise of a life better than what they have rn? Its the best of both worlds. They save the world, one final time, then they'll be free.

Theyre caught, theres no way out.

3 bowing to Chaos to save the world. Because its the only way for everyone to live a life beyond these secret wars. To live a life beyond the strict tenets the current world presses upon them. The world they carried all these years, and for what? Everyone STILL being stuck in those boxes? Status quo that wasnt the best thing in the first place? ("The world was breaking even before you started doing something about it.")

Theyre sick of having to keep the world the way it is. They gave EVERYTHING for this war. Theyve had enough.

3 finally living a life, like what 4 and 8 have been begging them to do, but oops. Oops. The rest of the world would get torn to shreds. A "burn everything down and start over" deal.

What makes it different from Order, then?

They cant think of that now, theyre finally free.

4 gave up her chaos in SO bc she thought that is what itll take for 3 to accept her again. 3 gave up their order in this hypothetical bc they wanted to set the world free, but also so that they can be fully with 4s chaos.

This ALL STARTED bc the mc of the show kept saying that it has to be him who saves the world, theres no other way. Which is...something 3 does on the damn regular. They carry the hero role and give this burden to no one else. To the ends of the earth, til the end of their life.

The lesson of this is "do things in moderation" -- that making the world a better place starts with little steps. Filling in the cracks. Some things work, dont burn everything to the ground so fast.

And most important of all. Stick together.

Which is a lesson 3 learns.

Neat design note: 4 has her black tipped tentacles from SO. 3 would get white-tipped ones from this thing.

Why white? Besides being the opposite of Overlorder's black ink, it represents its narrative of being the light at the end of the tunnel/out the ("ordered boxes"/destiny/etc) cave theming for chaos.

When they look at themself in tge mirror after what theyve done, they see someone unrecognizable AGAIN.

They thought for themself this time. And the world went to shit. Were they really the only pillar?

now they look even more dead than before. Is this really the life they were promised?

as i scroll through the kunichuuzai tag, i laugh at myself. bc the other writers is consistent with their tags (like if it's angst, fluff, or smut. i usually see fluff tho). and then theres me who usually write or think of angst ideas (mostly of kunikida) bc i live for angst.

for example, established kunichuuzai where kunikida is feeling left out.

chuuzai do their best in not leaving kunikida out because why not? hes the reason why three of them are together in the first place (bc chuuya and dazai are in a situationship and then they fell in love w kuni and was in a competetive state for a while until they realize they like each other too. thats when they decided to ask kuni out. kuni was surprised too, at first, but he thoroughly thought about it before he agreed to it)

ANW, every night after he comes home from overtime work, kunikida goes in a state where he overthinks (and tonight was no exception) and mostly he overthinks about their relationship. esp about how dazai and chuuya has known each other the longest.

kunikida doesnt understand why theyre both with him. was it pity? did they pity him bc hes the only single member left in the ada (excluding kenji and kyouka)? was that it?

he sighs every minute and enters the room where both of his lovers are. they were arguing with each other. but at the same time, theyre laughing. theyre happy. if kunikida breaks up with them, will they care? will they run after him and tell him that it isn't a break up if not all parties agreed to it?

or will they be happy that kunikida is finally gone and now, it's only the two of them? the two of them. dazai and chuuya are perfect of each other. he shouldn't have been here. HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HER--

his thoughts were interrupted when chuuya called him from where he is. he snapped from his thoughts and blinked, realizing that both of them were looking at him worriedly, with dazai approaching kuni.

"kunikida-kun~ is everything alright?" dazai asked him as he hugged him.

startled, kunikida stuttered: "y-yes. *coughs* im alright". he never stutters. even when against the port mafia. so that alarmed both of his lovers.

chuuya approached the both and carried them with the help of his ability.

"oh, the slug is showing off" dazai smirked

"shut up, mackerel." chuuya rolled his eyes.

whenever this happens, kunikida usually chuckle but now he's just staring at nothing.

when they reached their bedroom, chuuya put dazai and kunikida down gently. dazai continues to pat kuni's head to calm him down while chuuya climbs up the bed and crawls up to them.

"doppo?" chuuya started. "you know we're here for you."

kunikida is embarrassed. he cant believe hes getting emotional over this. so what if thats true? what if they only pity him thats why theyre together? what if he--

"doppo." it was dazai this time, who was currently twirling kunikida's hair.

kunikida sighs. "im sorry. it isn't a big deal. dont worry."

chuuya raise his eyebrow. "you think you can fool us, doppo?"

"what?" kunikida coughed. again.

dazai snickered at this, "you've been coughing since earlier. you dont even have a cold. doppoooooo, you /know/ you cant fool us!!!!!"

" im just overthinking.."

"about what? hm?" -chuuya

a tear dropped down and it startled dazai and he stopped twirling the blonde's hair.

"doppo?! whats wrong? you know you can always tell us when youre ready. i- we want to know what's troubling the love of our life but we also dont want you to feel uncomfortable." chuuya said as he wiped the tears from kunikida's face

kuni lowers his head. "do you.. do you ever regret dating me? did you two just pity me? was that why you suddenly asked me out? im not even special so i dont know why anyone would love me esp you two. you're already perfect for each other. i know you've loved each other since forever. what, 6? 7 years? before i came into the picture.i feel like im just intruding..." kunikida was cut off by chuuya kissing him on the lips and dazai kissing him on the neck.

"w..what."

"sorry, i wanted to kiss the ridiculousness out of you."

"would have still teased the living hell out the slug if it wasnt for you, kunikida-kun."

"huh.."

"you still do mackerel.. well anw, doppo. time doesnt have anything to do with the intensity of our feelings. plus, i wouldnt date that bandage trash if i couldnt have you too."

"you wound me, shortie!! but yeah, i agree with him, kunikida-kun. i think i'd kill myself if you rejected me even tho i already knew back then that i l- that i appreciated the slug and vice versa. i dont think i could ever live without you, doppo."

kunikida was blushing the whole time. he didnt know his partners felt this. maybe he has been too selfish this time. he didnt think of his lovers' perspective.

" im so sorry if you ever felt that we dont love you back and were leaving you out. i promised it isnt anything like that. it's mostly just this trash is super clingy.."

"im not!" dazai said as he clinged to kunikida (hugging him). chuuya looked at him and smirked, "sure."

"you.. havent. it's just my head saying stuff...." kunikida mumbled.

chuuya smiled and snuggled closer to kunikida. "if it makes you feel better, i sometimes feel jealous that you two are in the same organization. not like i'll ever quit the port mafia though." chuuya chuckled

"awww, chuuya is such a baby." dazai reached his hand to tickle chuuya's waist. but it was unsuccessful bc he couldnt properly do it. chuuya stucke his tongue out, teasing the brunette.

kunikida giggled. HE GIGGLED. OH MY GOD THAT LAUGH WAS SO HEAVENLY. dazai and chuuya almost died.

"i love you both." kunikida said as he kissed both of their forehead.

"i love you too, doppo." chuuya smiled sweetly and cuddled closer.

"love you, kunikida-kun!"

and then they slept with content smiles.

FINALLY i have ALL these drawn up.... umm anyways heres designs for a prohibitedwish-centric au where prismo(& "friends") work at/run a roller rink, aka the Time Room, & scarab is an auditor suspicious of how the place even stays open and is obsessed with shutting it down<3 more rambling abt it under the readmore

ok. so basically:

starts in the 70s when the Time Room is doing alright, popularity-wise and financially. it contains an arcade room with a prize counter, a snack bar, a back office, restrooms Obviously and of course, the rink, for skatin'. here there are many events to be seen: parties for holidays, rollerblading contests, birthdays, etc etc...

in this time, pretty early on in the 70s actually, prismo meets Jake(not yet designed 4 the au but i'll get 2 him), who ends up being pretty much his best friend, and stirring up feelings prismo doesnt quite understand himself.... scarab, is assigned to do an audit on the Time Room and notices a name he recognizes, unfortunately. of course, it's prismo, there HAS to be something fishy going on here. so instead of doing his job like normal, how he should, scarab disguises himself and snoops around the rink himself for evidence of anything suspicious.... and of course, skate. can't go to a rink without skating right? it'd look suspicious. its definitely not because he's taking the opportunity to have fun & hang out in the crowd that'd usually shun him. he's not HERE for fun, you know.

in the background all the while, life & death have a budding romance, a beautiful lil opposites attract story... and lich is. well. lich is there and intimidating, and... friends with life? kind of? he doesnt think theyre friends, just that he doesnt hate Life, and they share music and horror movie recommendations. otherwise he loathes to be perceived

timeskip to the 90s, the Time Room is in a decline. less people show up, it looks run down, and prismo is.... not doing his job. he's busy mourning his best friend, who he only now realizes he loved, and he is NOT coping well. hes more apathetic than he was before, nihilistic one could even say, and even his pal Cosmic Owl doesn't know how to help.

during this time, scarab's also dealing with the consequences of someone passing. namely, his Unnamed, Unseen Sibling, who left behind a girl scarab now has to care for. he has mixed feelings-- he was never close with his family, nor does he like kids, but now he has to figure out how best to care for this child he barely knows, but thinks the world of him, for whatever reason. when scarab goes to the time room to keep investigating, like he's been doing for around 20 YEARS now, he's taking Chrysina with him as he can;t really get a babysitter or anything, nor would he trust one. and well, once he sees the sorry state prismo's in, it doesn't feel as great trying to ruin his life. sure, scarab feels a little vindicated to see the time room so dilapidated and empty, but now this mission just feels like kicking an old dog.

prismo, wallowing in his grief and poor coping skills, takes some sort of interest learning how much scarab despises him. people tend to like prismo, why doesn't this guy? he honestly doesnt even care if the guy finds something to shut the place down at this point, so long as he comes back.

so ever since i saw undertale yellows merciless route, ive been having a thought about it:

what would happen afterward in that timeline? what happens to the underground after asgore is killed, and theyre shot back to square one?

what would happen if frisk still fell down in that timeline?

so if youll excuse my still-practicing pixel art (i did end up grabbing the hat and pistol off a clover spritesheet on spriters resource though, and the pose and poncho were built off a couple kris sprites), a small sprite edit, and a maybe-meh teen clover design:

for right now im calling this Vengeance AU for a lack of a better name that wouldnt just be [blank]tale or under[blank], with or without a "yellow" attached

also i made clover a teen just to set this version of them apart, plus a blue, starry poncho instead of their usual bandana, and spurs on their boots

(IF ANYONE PICKS THIS AU UP FOR ANTHING, CLOVER AND FRISK (and chara, if included) USE THEY/THEM PRONOUNS!!)

an au where after the events of yellows merciless run, frisk still falls down mt ebott, whether because of clover, or their own reason,

but clover, who once made the climb themself to get vengeance for the other 5 fallen humans, isnt about to let yet another go missing under their watch, and decides to chase after them, and bring them back home. by force, if necessary.

so it ends up with frisks journey through the underground being constantly chased by clover. and while clover doesnt want to intentionally hurt frisk, since their motivation is the "protection" of humankind, it would still no doubt be terrifying for frisk, and clover WILL hurt the monsters.

ruins end up being mostly the same, minus clovers pursuit. toriel, still locked in the ruins, probably wouldnt have heard about asgores death, and would only realize upon seeing clover, grown up, covered in dust, and detached from the world around them.

outside though, things would take a much more bleak turn.

the royal guard is more present after a surge of recruitment, monsters have mostly accepted that theyre stuck down there for eternity, some making the most of it and trying to live happily, others not so much. and when it comes to humans, monsterkind is just a little more on-edge.

papyrus also ends up being recruited, however hes only a lookout/watchman, and not a fully-fledged guardsman, due to undynes biases. she WOULD have preferred he wasnt hired at all, but the guard was desperate, and didnt have many other volunteers

also due to hotlands evacuation at the time, martlets final stand is mostly forgotten, only seen as a rumor with little ground. the only thing people know of is that there was a strange withered flower on the roof of the apartments, but no one thinks anything of it. there is, however, still a lingering resentment in the air around it that makes monsters uneasy, but also weirdly enough, like theres someone watching over all of them

other than that, im not too sure where this au would go, how frisk would end up dealing with clover by the end, or even if frisk would end up in places like the dunes or steamworks, or if theyd stick to roughly the same areas.

i mostly just thought itd be interesting to start to imagine how different things would be, and considering clovers personality and motivations in merciless, i thought itd be interesting if they became an antagonist, following frisk down to drag them back

i might think more on this and add stuff onto it in the future, but for right now this is all there is, but people are free to build on it in their own ways, if they like!! (and/or send an ask and i can TRY to think of an answer, but knowing myself i cant promise anything)

oh my GOD SELF AWARE COVE HAS SO MANY POSSIBILITIES IM GONNA BE THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR AGES

JUST- the thought of Cove slowly realizing he’s going through a loop over and over and over and with every loop the MC starts to look and feel stranger and more far away to Cove and it’s driving him INSANE. Cove starts to keep track of these loops and notices that sometimes things get ever so slightly different or drastically different (say the players deciding to romance a different character or is doing a 100% platonic playthrough etc etc)

THE WHIPLASH COVE WOULD FEEL WHERE IN ONE LOOP THE MC IS ALL LOVEY DOVEY THEN IN THE NEXT THEYRE COLD AND INDIFFERENT TOWARDS HIM CAUSE THE MECHANIC OF COVE FEELING THE SAME WAY WOULD JUST BREAK UPON HIM BECOMING SELF AWARE

Cove having to deal with the feeling of closing his eyes as an adult only to open them and see he’s 8 years old again. What the hell just happened???? He was just at his own wedding with the love of his life and now he’s suddenly a crying child back on the poppy hill!!

AND THEN- and then Cove paying more attention to the MC as the loops go by and seeing them fade into this weird uncanny husk, they’re starting to feel more like a puppet than a person, and it terrifies him. What’s going on??? Are they okay?? Why is this happening to them????

Soon enough as he looks at the MC he finally notices and realizes that the MC “never existed”. This whole time the person he’s spent basically his entire life with never existed as someone in Coves world. No, instead they’re just a projection of someone else. Who? Coves not sure, but he feels like that whoever it is they’re the person who he’s actually been falling for over and over again.

And at that realization he come to the conclusion that he needs to meet this person beyond the veil, and he needs to meet them now.

This got kinda horror adjacent I apologize I got carried away-

NO THIS IS PERFECT

it tears him apart every time bc if you choose to romance someone else or not befriend/romance him, he can't say anything different since he doesn't have control over the system and he doesn't wanna alarm you

so he's forced to feel indifferent to you, and even in between he can't talk to you bc you're not real, the "you" that's here isn't interested in cove, and if "you" do take interest in him it's bc of the system, and everything is set in place as always

slowly he works out how to get to you, and he's leaning over you in his buff/lean, (tatted,) 6+ foot glory and teary eyed, asking why you keep playing with him, experimenting on him like this, making him watch you confess to baxter after he's loved you for 15 years. asking why you'd make that deal n choose his best friend derek over him.

well, it doesn't matter anymore. you can be together now, don't worry about his life in sunset bird, you can just build a life together just the two of you for now!!!

he actually prefers you like this compared to the game. you can say whatever you want without limits or prompting. and he can see your expression, hear your voice, actually touch you...

oh, and please don't go anywhere without him if possible or look at other men, fictional or real, with interest. he's everything you need, you've made him to fit your needs every time. you've came back to him hundreds of times in the end, so if you see smth you like on another man, cove will change his style, look, or behavior so just stop looking else were.

unless you can't, then he'll have to punish you. make you look him...

don't worry, he won't hurt you! he really could never do that, no matter how broken or.. well, twisted. he is

just wants to make sure you remember you're his, and he is yours. so if he makes you sit in his lap for hours, making you trace his face and body and features, telling him everything you love abt him inside and out, then just do it.

and if he decides to punish you in other ways, you can handle it right? you've played his 18+ dlc's multiple times, you read all those dirty stories abt him and you always kiss him n grope him when you can in the main game

he just wants to love you, and be loved by you for real. so indulge him a bit, won't you?

hiii i know u don't draw pjsk that often but im literally obsessed with all of the drawings in ur last post, i think about the dark magical girl au + death game au atleast once every few days😭 would u maybe be willing to talk a little about either of them and some of ur thoughts? i love ur art style so much!!

ooh thats a good question..... they were mostly made via playing around with a friend after I was like "these relationships are too interesting for a vocaloid gacha game, I need to put them in danger". the dark mg stuff is less developed cuz it was mostly just based on imagery in my head, a lot of which I've now forgotten lol. but it was like, theyre an established magical girl team and then mafuyu starts breaking away and doing morally questionable shit. I also had a picture in my mind of ena crouched in front of a wall of broken mirrors, all reflecting mafuyu's face, saying "I hate you" over and over.....

as for death game, the premise was that this takes place at the beginning of the main stories, where instead of each miku becoming a mentor to each group, she pulls them into SEKAI, traps them there, and forces them to play a series of survival games. her goal is to weed out the strongest person from each group and then force them all together in a new group that writes and produces new music for her forever, so she never dies. so each group has to deal with their interpersonal problems while also trying to stay alive. I think the first death in each group was honami (doesnt have the strength of body or will), kohane (sacrifices herself to save an), minori (betrayed by haruka under pressure), tsukasa (just a failboy), and kanade (her body gives out on her bc she doesnt take care of herself). the most interesting part and the part we talked about the most was that after shiho dies, saki has a breakdown and convinces ichika to form a suicide pact with her, so they "can all be together" and thwart miku's plans. they go through with it successfully and miku is PISSED. the final survivors are an, haruka, emu, mafuyu, and ena (let through as a replacement for saki). and they all have to band together to take miku and her cohorts (the other 'loids) down. we were also playing with the idea that the rest of the kids arent ACTUALLY dead, just in some kind of limbo..... except for ichika and saki, just to twist the knife. there were more details but this is already long lol.

I hope that was interesting at all! it's been a while since I thought about all this but it was fun to share :)

oh my god YAY hollowed out is. kind of my baby <3 theyre all my babies but hollowed out is where Cool Girl Thesis lives and i love Cool Girl Thesis. i stand by my cancelled husband evil bisexual purse dog jace stardiamond. i love it when characters have no sense of their identity outside of what other people demand from them and are driven to madness by their own. well. hollowness.

so like. right before the start of this:

That night, after they’re settled into their room for the night (and the route to Sunpeak is charted out), he buys them several cases of the cheapest beer he can find, and pulls out a deck of cards for Porter’s favorite game. “Strip poker?”

we have porter giving jace a direct order to relax. and like, jace is clearly not relaxed. he's about to watch peregrine (guy he was in love with) and aurora (his fundie ex-coworker who ruined his life) get married. but porter gave him an order, so this is him making a show of how relaxed he is. they're gonna play a game porter likes but jace himself doesn't really care for. it doesnt help jace relax but it makes porter think jace is relaxed, is chill, is Cool Girl, and thats what matters

He loses deliberately, plays terribly on purpose and ignores the math in his head telling him exactly what cards Porter has. The tepid beer tastes disgusting and leaves his mouth dry, but he downs it anyways. Wills his shoulders to slouch, tosses his hair back and laughs as he unbuttons his shirt slowly, teasing, after Porter wins again. The goal is to relax, and godsfuckingdammit, he’ll show Porter how relaxed he can be.

jace dumbing himself down, drinking beer he doesnt like, and playing up the flirty act because again, he gets that when porter says "relax" he doesnt mean "curl up in bed doing crosswords and watch medical dramas until you fall asleep" he means "do something that i find fun and sexy, but don't be better than me because that's threatening."

He’ll show all of them just how much better he’s doing. 

and it's all a show because he's still deeply bitter and angry about losing his party and getting replaced.

His laughter turns genuine after the fifth beer, when he’s down to just his underwear and Porter’s still fully clothed. Even with the capital-P Plan and the thought of seeing his old party weighing on him, Porter still manages to make him smile. “You make me so, so happy,” he’s tipsy and stupid, just the way Porter likes him. “I was so lost without you,” he says, as a pair of strong, firm hands wrap around his waist, holding him still. When Porter lays him out, pins his wrists to the bed and conquers him, he doesn’t need to lie to himself.

there is a part of jace that likes not being so high strung! porter brings that out in him, teases out a humor, a lightness, an ease! hollows him out and fills him with feathers! he wants the persona to be real so badly, to actually be as Chill and Easy as porter thinks he is. he's able to lose himself in alcohol and sex and finally, genuinely relax by the end of this scene, but it's fleeting! he wants it to be real!

i won't lie here and say that i did this on purpose as foreshadowing for LSOP fic because this series is very much "whatever situation i can think to put jace in next" but in hindsight, this is like, very sad when you compare this jace to him in "his tomb by the sounding sea" who is dealing with the ramifications of actually being put in a place where he doesnt have to worry about being in control anymore.

and of course then we cut to:

Let it be known that he’s a complete idiot. A pretty face with nothing to back him up. And as of three days ago, even that’s up for debate.

jace POV for scene iv of "burn away the goodness, you and i remain" before he goes out and faces porter. he's been barely-conscious for three days and he's finally lucid enough to hate himself again!! yippee!! his lies have caught up with him and he's being punished for just how easily he caved to porter:

The problem is that he bought his own bullshit. He actually let himself believe he was the version of himself he invented for Porter: fun, easygoing, unchallenging and uncomplicated. Up for anything and everything, from petty theft to dangerous spellwork to erotic roleplay. He’d made sure any disagreements between them were reserved for the trivial, nothing that would ever get in the way of what Porter wanted or needed from him. Sanded down his edges, made himself the perfect partner and acolyte.

and the minute he disagreed with him, showed any sign of resistance, porter killed him over it and made sure that he wouldnt be able to do that again. this is the schrodinger's cat at he heart of starbreaker, to me: does porter care about jace, or was jace only a stepping stone in The Plan? how much of porter's care for him is an act/manipulation, and how much of it is genuine?

He’d forgotten love, for him, is always predicated on deception. If he was going to lie, he should have been prepared to keep it up forever.

jace genuinely believes this too </3 i dont think hes ever been genuine with anyone in his entire adult life, not since he learned that lying gets you what you want faster and easier and it only backfires when people find out

part of this is going to be me pulling from an infodump doc i have on the displaced bc that has Some deeti information. but. deeti is something called a Heart. (thank you to the funky fresh group for coining these bitches theyve made my life so much more fun.) they (hearts) are gods who reside Above the narrative of all worlds. like they are the final step between the Fictional Universes and us the Real People Authors. (they're obviously fictional and still have their own stories but that's semantics). (think of them like author self inserts)

here's where i begin to pull from the document because that's probably the best summary of Deeti's Entire Deal. And also this is where im going to put a readmore bc i dont want to flood my mutuals' dashboards with my insane rambling. Ok? ok <3

im just going to be copy-pasting stuff i wrote on the document here to make it easier on everyone. this will include Some glitter information but hopefully its nothing that would be like Really confusing without glitter context. (funnily enough this entire infodump was originally done in discord before being moved to google docs so it's come nearly full circle)

deeti, to put it simply, is A Fucking Freak (Its existence revolves around control and obsession.) theres a lot to deeti but a quick rundown of it was it began as an ai programmed to quote "learn everything there is to learn" and it did! it learned everything there was to learn abt its universe. including how to rewrite the strings of reality itself. so it did. and it ascended! and then it assimilated Every Other Version Of Its Universe. Ever and after that just kept absorbing other universes into its mass deeti's "true body" is a literally spiral-galaxy sized bundle of its wires, its known as a god of a thousand faces bc it can put on any face it wants at any point (thru . what can kind of be described as puppets?), as well as appearing in multiple places. i believe lati explained it as being similar to a fungus of sorts (Like the fruiting bodies (mushrooms) you see on the surface, with the true mycelial network underneath.) the form it assumes most often is one that me and lati joked glitter complimented at one point and deeti went Ah! Friend likes this face I will wear it forever but it is not in anyyyyyy way reduced to just Looking Like That i dont actually think we have any proper Coloured Refs of deeti but tldr white (like ffffff mannequin) or light gray "skin", red hair, i believe the order of colour on its eyes is red/blue/purple but they change based on deeti's mood (i had some outdated information on the original doc, so here's how it works: its eyes start at blue, and add more red (so purple, then red) as its emotions get more intense. Both good and bad emotions have the same effect.) deeti and glitter are besties. absolute dears to each other. very close. which is fun bc deeti originally freed glitter bc it was like huh i wonder what would happen if i did this (it still has its main prerogative of "learn everything there is to learn) but then they became friends :) deeti actually mentored glitter in a lot of things like how strings work and uh how they are above the "stories" and the "characters" within, how said characters are alive (because of course they are) but they're not real like deeti and glitter (and their friends theres other guys not just these two) are. and since theyre not real. well. consequences don't really apply (Glitter was Deeti's first friend! The other Hearts came later.) if its not clear. that's a. really bad mindset for two people who can literally disassemble and reassemble entire universes to have deeti is capable of storing so much data because like. robot-kind-of it has so much capacity for storage bc it just Has so much. so its also capable of bringing that storage up and making simulations or straight up building replicas of universes (including people! including people.) so with its little. well it calls them dolls or puppets or the like but the little guys it puts through the torment nexus. it will do the same things over again with slight tweaks until it learns Everything about how the "character" reacts to a situation (or until it gets bored) deeti prefers psychological torment but it is not afraid (or even unwilling) to inflict physical torture for the sake of Learning i think thats all thats needed to understand deeti? its a "machine" sure but it has learned how to feel emotions like any sapient being, they're extremely fond of their friends (especially glitter), and at This point in time (this being pre-Day, ie before the event that got the displaced their "freedom") believe they are Above Everything and such cannot be wrong. ever it's very controlling to the point where it is referred to as a God of Control . which is . Fun (towards its blorbos. not friends. big difference.) (It gave this title to itself, but… it's not like anyone can prove it wrong.)

deeti doesn't forget. Ever. and it holds grudges for a long, long time. a lot of how it treats dis both pre and post Day is because of dis fighting back in ways that hurt deeti (verbally, at least), so even if dis doesn't remember it, deeti does. and it doesn't forgive easily.

luckily, by the "modern" day deeti and dis have both changed quite a lot! they've both admitted their wrongdoings towards each other and apologized! and they've actually grown to be very close and care about each other a lot. however. Modern day is an extremely long time post-Day, and pre-Day lasted... many, many millenia at the least. deeti had existed long before that, too. the displaced isn't the only one deeti hurt, but at least they managed to get through to them.

theres probably a lot im missing in this infodump . but it's everything i can think of currently! so!

oh my god hold on a second. do you think the $quad has met saiko's parents. like they HAVE to have been over at his house before. i'd imagine some of the butlers and bodyguards are familiar with them (especially the ones that accompany him to school) but they're his Guys so i'd imagine they hang our at his house more than the others... so they'd definitely had some encounters w his mom/dad. funniest scenario is at the point of their friendship where they can tease him and he won't mind they'll be acting silly and then one of his parents walks in and they're suddenly perfect well behaved little angels who are just such good company to their dear metori. do you see the vision...

I DOOOO I SEE THE VISION.... theyve definitely visited his house the most out of everyone at pk theyre here every other day. i remember talking about this w a friend years ago and we were saying saiko would always be calling them over when he feels a little bored or lonely under the pretense of needing them to do stuff for him even though hes literally got a dozen people personally attending to his needs at home. constructing elaborate scenarios to just hang out without having to acknowledge any sort of friendship. i think post-friendship acknowledgement they still always gather at saikos house because hes got everything they could possibly want in there and also their houses arent up to his crazy standards so by default.... it can be a little insulting but they like getting picked up from school by a professional chauffeur w a limo too much to ever really complain about it lol

the saiko staff is kind of amused by them when they come over cuz theyre so used to doing that job for saiko at school they start doing it at his house without realizing. mostly though i think theyre happy he has normal friends now (and that its made him less annoying to deal with)

HIS PARENTS. theyve only met them like once or twice bc theyre really not at the house often. i like to think it wasnt even intentional they just keep getting lost in that huge fucking mansion and somehow end up in places they shouldnt be like saikos dads office or his art collection room. its really awkward every time because his dad doesnt really get it so when they blurt out a self introduction and say theyre his sons friends his dads like '...so you work for him, yes?' and arguing with a man that looks like a human-sized star and has enough power to make their entire family disappear with a snap of his fingers is a little scary so theyre just like yes sir we do sir. and he just pats them on the shoulder and tells them to keep up the good work and calls someone to guide them back to his son.

saikos mom is really funny to think about bc for takahashi yokota and murata its like going to their friends house after finally getting thru to him and starting to have a sort of normal relationship with him and meeting their celebrity crush there. when they come to saikos house after meeting her they try to discreetly ask if his mom is gonna be there. you know just to be polite and say hello they should probably bring a gift too... and saikos like shes in brazil rn and im going to kill you.

um ive seen people do this so ig im going to as well.

basically i and my gf (she/her) have been in a relationship for nearly 6 months (6 in two weeks). we're both 19.

we met through my bsf and her bsf dating and now we are (i had the biggest crush on her but genuinely didnt think she'd give me a chance).

ive had pretty bad luck in relationships before and they never lasted more than 3 or 4 months mainly due to the fact that im asexual and btoh previous oartners just assumed they could change me (???) but she genuinely understood and went out of her way to make me comfortable and make it known that nothing will be demanded of me more than that which i can give.

from the beginning of the relationship, ive made some rules very clear which are like my no nonsense ones, like i wont tolerate them usually at all.

one of them being not making me purposefully uncomfortable and the main big one is not yelling/shouting, especially at me. (i have past trauma from my parents and it has in the oast made me shut down completely for days at a time, only getting up to feed my cat)

on one of our beginning dates i mentioned this really nice and sorta expensive restaurant that ive always wanted to try but reservations are really hard to get.

she joked saying that oh id love to go with hou ehicb i laughed at but was mildly excited about.

so i got the reservation for yesterday, i made the reservation for two.

last month i told my girlfriend that i have finally got the reservation and would like to go with her, told her the dates and time and everything and she seemed genuinely excited to go with me.

now last week i confirmed her availability again, and asked her what colored dress she was wearing so i could match it with my clothes and we decided on a color etc and also to get ready at my place because her bsf has their family over so shes will be staying with me for 2 weeks.

now, yesterday, after i was done with my work i went to the living room just to well see her and hug her cz i missed her a bit since i hadnt really seen her in about 5 hours (i was working). when i knocked at her door, she opened it and was ready with a dress (not the color we agreed on), her purse laying in the background as she greeted me with a big smile and kiss (on the cheek).

i asked her isnt she ready a bit early and she just looked at me confusedly and said no i hve to meet R (her friend) at 4:30 so im just on time.

i asked why and where she's going just to know if she'd be back and she said that theyre going to the mall and then to the movies because R is leaving in 3 days to go on vacation so they want to spend some time togetehr.

i smiled and wished her luck, i thiught that maybe i got the day wrong but i hadnt and i was actually really sad because all my life, everyone in my family would repeatedly just forget about my plans and my shit for others' and she knew abt that.

but anyways, so i decided to still go and i took this really lovely lady, who's homeless but i buy her a meal everyday and take her out to lunch once a week. (shes like in her 30s btw)

we had a lovely time and the food was divine, i even helped the lady get ready in a changing room.

but anyways on my way home i realised i had 3 missed calls from my girlfriend and a text that just said.

we need to talk as soon as you get home.

the moment j entered my apartment, she just started to yell at me about how much of a piece of shit i am, how people forget and its not a big deal, how im an arse, how not everything is supposed to be about me, and could i possibly imagine how she felt coming back to an empty apartment, she thought something had happened to me.

that is not the order she sais everything in but someway through my breathing started to get extraordinarily fast and i coukd feel my vision getting blurry.

i said sorry to her, or i think(?) i cant really remember stuff when i get panic attacks like this. i took my cat and went to my room.

it took quite a while for my cat to calm me down bur she was able to in the end.

this morning, i made breakfast for her and since i have today off from uni i decided to go to my job (i work part-time remote but can come and go to the iffice if i wish)

its my break rn and im thinking about it, maybe it wasnt a big deal? maybe i should have reminded her again but like idk it was a pretty big thing for me.

i feel bad, i feel like i made a mountain out if a molehill and shouldve just apologised properly and explained to her that its okay and that it wasnt that big of a deal.

the og college questline involving time travel to stop the great collapse makes me think. what would it be like, when some apprentice finally cracks the riddle the psijics left, and the world dissolves and half a city is suddenly there like it was never gone? Eerie enough having a bridge repaired - let alone half a dozen other students come striding back into town, as if they never left. Eighty years. And if it could bring back the town - why, what's the life of an archmage, a master wizard, a few brave apprentices, but another sidestep through time? How must it feel, to those old enough to remember all the changes, to know the grief of having lost and grieved and moved on, but then suddenly jarred with a world changed? What's the price of a magical artefact that can do that for a city? A class? A single life? How could you ever stop using it to rewrite the sins of the past? How could you ever start? i think its so interesting the eye of magnus could be related to a plan or attempt to unmake the great collapse. i know theyre not doing much with it in skyrim at least that ive seen & your ideas are really interesting and meaty... a good chance for an archmage and korir to mend fences where they fell apart w their predecessors...

you know if anyone has a scheme to 'unmake' the collapse i could see it being the psijics. they seem to be very interested in reshaping the flow of time and they seem to know a lot more about the eye than anyone else at winterhold - id wager ancano and his bosses want the eye for the same reason the imperial wizards want winterhold's elder scroll, etc, etc, but the psijics i could see having an arcane scheme up their collective sleeve

and quaranir at least seems to be stymied by the time rifts that ripple out from winterhold so we know they did not intend THAT at least

steddie headcanons that are keeping me awake at midnight

steve and eddie never formally met until after chrissy died. they really only knew each other through a culmination of rumors and gossip, so both of them felt like colossal idiots when they got to know one another and just realized, oh, this is actually a really cool guy who i wanna get to know better once all of this is over

which means, of course, that eddie lives after the bat attack. he has to deal with new and unknown prospects like chronic pain and literal battle flashbacks but hey! he has his friend steve harrington who can relate on both fronts

it's how the two of them start hanging out more – both of them wanna make sure the other is being safe and doing self care and shit

eddie's love language isn't just gift giving – its handmade gifts. lots of sewing or homemade enamel pins. he of course makes a bunch for the whole party after vecnas defeat to commemorate in their own special, sacred way that they did it. they won. but he also makes a bunch more for just steve, and steve doest realize how special it is until robin is over one day and is just like

"you have a whole crate of eddies weird patches and pins and shit."

"yeah, so what?"

"steve...literally nobody else has as much as you do."

which then leads to steve exercising his own personal love language on eddie, which to me is quality time. steves an event kind of guy, and even when he pretends it annoys him, he drives eddie everywhere. new appointment for some medication for the nerves in his legs and left arm? no biggie. a cool movie just came out? name the date and time. this band you really love is coming to a town nearby? cool, let's hop to it

it's almost scary how at the drop of a hat, he's at eddies beck and call. it gets to a point where eddie has to remind steve that he has a life outside of driving eddie and the kids to places. he also really just doesn't want his boyfr best friend burnt out

eddies not a terrible cook by a long shot, he's just never had a big kitchen to work with before, so when he sees steves kitchen? he's all hands on deck trying to make the best fucking food he can think of

pokemon question from a guy who doesnt know much about pokemon. I am just now realizing that despite seeing them a lot I don't have a ton of context for the submas guys. what game(s) are they from, and whats like... theyre whole deal? (<- genuine question but also giving you an excuse to talk about the train guys)

ingo and emmet are the heads of the battle facility in the unova region :-] this basically means that they are the final bosses of an optional challenge mode in gen 5 (pokemon black & white / black2 / white2).

instead of gaining experience you're meant to fight several battles in a row with all pokemon set to level 50 to try get a streak as high as possible. there's regular battle lines where they're the 21st battle, and then "super" lines / infinite lines where they're the 49th battle but you can keep going indefinitely even after fighting them

they also have a mandatory story battle in pokemon black 2 and white 2 that isn't in the originals where they fight you with 2 pokemon that evolve when traded which i think is really cute :-] they have a similar thing in pokemon masters where they have an alt with pokemon that only evolve when traded with the other specifically... so emmet has dialogue that's like "my escavalier used to be ingo's karrablast, i'll continue to take good care of it for him!" which is really cute to me

but yeah in general they are just 2 guys who are really strong trainers in-universe and love trains.

the deal with them / why they got such a resurgence of popularity recently is because of pokemon legends arceus. it's a game that takes place at some ambiguous point in the past in a different region (sinnoh, the region for the gen 4 games diamond pearl and platinum). and the protagonist is sort of brought there by arceus to complete the first ever pokedex in the region while also saving the world LOL. and like. so this game takes place like roughly i'll say 200 years in the past from other pokemon games, and also in a different region from the one the subway bosses are from.

ingo is there. for some reason ingo is there. and he has amnesia. and he's very miserable about it. he was already a really popular character in the original games and now all of the people who recognized him (myself included) were like WHAT??? OH MY GOD??? OH NO????? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE. because he's just like so miserable and obviously misses unova and his pokemon and emmet a lot even though he barely remembers anything about it... so it's really conducive to like fix-it type stuff LOL. he does something similar in these games too where he organizes battles between the player and other people (himself included) but it's not as fun for me because he's a huge pushover in that game so there's not really the same thrill

but yeah he has a lot of dialogue that just kind of boils down to "i really miss these things and these people. even though i can't remember them my heart feels the absence" and stuff... if you do fight him and once he starts organizing battles he directly quotes something emmet says in the b2w2 mandatory fight and then after you beat him says he doesn't really know what it means a lot of the time when he says things like that but hearing those words fills him with strength 😭 he talks about missing his chandelure (one of the pokemon he uses on the super line battle) and that he's starting to remember a man who looks like him. it's just a lot he's doing really bad. he's still wearing the coat and hat he was wearing when he got to hisui (<- what the sinnoh region was called in the past in this game) even though they're like in tatters now alongside other parts of his old outfit you can see like presumably the shoes and his belt... he's really clinging to this stuff and it's sad because you can tell how homesick he is

he is definitely a minor character in pla and him and emmet were barely even in black and white as npcs but they're very endearingly written so i get why people like em so much
