I have a question for the book readers, would you say that Luke Castellan haunts the narrative? I love those kinds of characters and he really gives those vibes.

Cupid (S.R)
Plot: Our favorite Doutor confess feels to his best friend also co-worker, Y/N.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x BAUFem!Reader
Contents: Really quicky mention to drinks, cases, makeout but fluffy for sure.
A/N: hello readers, I disappeared for a year because of work and college and a serious health problem but I'm better than ever and coming back to writing has brought me back to life. I hope you like her because she's cute, a couple from a romance movie basically, so like and share if you like it.
Tumblr media
"Alright, Spence. What are your thoughts on the woman over there in the dark green dress? She looks elegant, charming, and quite attractive. She might even share an interest in the books you enjoy, don’t you think? What’s your take?" I gestured toward the woman who had just taken a seat at the bar, alone. I was on a mission to play matchmaker for Spencer. Although he hadn’t asked for my help, I thought it would be useful to offer a female perspective. Spencer’s inherent shyness meant he needed substantial guidance in social situations, especially when it came to women.
The ambiance was pleasant. We were seated at a table near the main entrance. Given that it was Thursday, the bar was relatively quiet, but it was the only day we both had free to unwind after a grueling series of cases in New York. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s been happening this past month, but I’ve reviewed so much material that when I close my eyes, I still see the words on the pages. And Spence? The poor guy has never analyzed so many maps in his life. I thought this break was well-deserved, and he certainly deserved a chance to spend time with someone special. Well, both of us could use a moment with someone, but I’m on a cupid’s mission and need to stay focused—no distractions, no more than three drinks.
"She’s attractive, but I’m not fond of blondes, and she seems a bit too tall for my taste. I don’t think it would work out," he replied. I frowned and looked at him with disbelief. This was the fifth woman he had dismissed that evening, and his options were rapidly dwindling. I downed my beer in one gulp and stared him down, hoping to make him realize it was now or never. "Spence, you don’t need to be so selective. I understand it’s challenging for you, but you’re only looking for someone to kiss. I’d love to kiss that girl! She’s stunning. Just approach her, buy her a drink, and then kiss her. Go on, now," I urged impatiently. He needed to make the first move.
"I understand, Y/N. She’s attractive, but I don’t want to kiss her, that’s all," he said, turning back to the bar and taking a sip of his whiskey. I knew him well enough to sense he was hiding something. This was a significant step for him, and despite our discussions about taking a break, he seemed reluctant to pursue it. Ugh, he could be so stubborn.
"I know there’s more to it, love. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Am I being too pushy, is that it? I’m sorry if I’m a bad cupid. I’ll stop. Look, I’m waving the white flag—peace," I said, grabbing a napkin and waving it theatrically. I flashed a grin, and he chuckled. It was always like this: he was the serious one, and I was the humorous one. He loved books, and I adored movies. He was the little angel, and I was the little devil. "Very amusing, but I swear, I have nothing to hide from you," he assured me.
"Spencer..." I gave him my best puppy-dog eyes. He looked uncomfortable, but he started to speak anyway, with a hint of resignation in his voice. "Well, there’s this girl I’ve developed feelings for... she’s incredibly nice and fun. When she talks to me, I can’t think of anything else. I’m not sure how to articulate my feelings, but I don’t want to kiss anyone else. She’s everything to me now." I was overjoyed and exhilarated. I’d never seen Spence so in love before, and now he had someone special in his life. Of course, I felt a twinge of jealousy, but I was also genuinely happy for him. This was a delightful surprise.
"Spencer Walter Reid!! Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?! Did you—" I exclaimed, relieved that the bar was mostly empty. His face flushed red as he tried to cover my mouth with his hand. "Y/N, please don’t shout!!! I didn’t know sooner, I didn’t realize it until now..." he explained. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my excitement. "Alright... you need to go talk to her right now and give her a proper kiss! I’ll handle things here. Just go for it!"
He looked at me wide-eyed, his hands on my shoulders. "You really think so? Are you sure?" I snorted. "Absolutely, go now." And that’s when he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as if steeling himself for what he was about to do. His fingers gently gripped the back of my neck, his touch both tender and urgent. He leaned in, and I could feel the warmth of his breath against my skin before our lips finally met. I was stunned, my body tensed, and my eyes remained open for a moment, but his lips were so soft that I quickly surrendered to the kiss. Our lips moved together in sync, and I felt a profound connection. He wasn’t as shy as I’d thought—he had a way with words and was incredibly sweet. I couldn’t explain it, but he was perfect. Suddenly, I found myself bewitched by the very arrow of Cupid I had sent forth.
As we broke away from the kiss, I gazed at him, utterly bewildered, my heart racing with every beat. "Spence, what was that? You just..." I asked, my voice trembling with genuine confusion. He looked at me with an expression that blended sincerity and vulnerability before responding in a tone that was soft yet deeply meaningful: "Well, the truth is, the woman I’ve been admiring all along is you. I’m sorry if this comes as a shock, but you asked me to act, so I did."
I was momentarily stunned, a whirlwind of emotions overtaking me. How could I have been so blind not to notice this sooner? I opened my mouth for the first time in minutes to speak my heart. "Spence, there's no need to apologize. I'm just... surprised! That was really something," I said, still trying to wrap my head around the moment. I paused, letting it all sink in. "So, does this count as our first date, or would you rather have a more traditional one?" I asked with an amused tone, trying to ease the tension that had built between us, feeling a bit uncertain about what came next.
"Oh, I definitely want another date. How about I take you out for dinner, and you wear that dark blue dress you had on at Rossi’s? I love the way it looks on you," he said, his words making a warm sensation spread through me. "You’re so sweet, Spence. I hadn’t really noticed it before. If I’d known you kissed like that..." I replied with a laugh, hugging him tightly. "And you can bet I’ll wear the dress if it makes you happy." With a gentle caress on my face, I brushed his bangs off his forehead, feeling a bit strange about kissing one of my best friends, but I was glad he had the courage to confess something so significant.
I looked at his face again and could see him a bit embarrassed by the events of the night that had unfolded in a public place. It wasn’t something he had planned, and he likes to plan things. "Y/N, may I kiss you a little longer?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for permission. Instead of answering, I pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss, savoring the moment.

some things i didn’t realize were my ADHD until fairly recently:
(i’m probably combined type btw)
constantly starting new projects and wanting to do loads of things all at once, and then having loads of unfinished ones all over the place because i get tired of them before i can finish them and have another idea that i want to pursue
binge-reading books or whole book series within a few hours/days and not being able to think or do anything else other than that
being suddenly possessed with the urge to clean my entire room every once a month to a few months and not being able to do anything else other than that in that time when i have that urge, and getting incredibly angry and/or anxious when interrupted
being absolutely depressed, anxious, and having SI and/or SH urges/thoughts just because i’m bored, and nothing being able to solve that boredom no matter what i try to do
feeling rejected/unloved/unwanted in a ton of situations because of the way someone worded something
not being able to follow conversations because i keep getting distracted by my trains of thought, and because i can barely understand the person i’m talking to since i can’t hear what they’re saying
forgetting something i was thinking about/told/etc. as soon as i step into a new room/environment
forgetting literally everything, and learning to make lists, checking everything so many times, and thinking again and again about something to make sure that doesn’t happen
always fidgeting in some way, even when not anxious, and needing some sort of stimuli on in the background
my brain racing 90% of the time (the other 10% is when i’m extremely exhausted and my brain is shutting off/has shut off), even when i’m not anxious, and sometimes getting overwhelmed by that
forgetting something from a few seconds ago, and constantly needing to retrace my steps, whether physically or mentally
becoming really attached to someone new incredibly fast, and then feeling nothing (or not as much at least) for them once i’m adjusted to them
and many more things. i might do a part 2 another time, and just keep adding from there. but it’s incredibly astonishing to me that i only recently figured out these things and found answers for it all.

Taking a deep breath, you lift another spoonful of the coffee soup to your lips before letting the spoon fall back in the glass with a clash. Eyes going wide as you read through the words quickly, and turn the page. The English are a different breed of people, but you have found yourself more and more immersed in their literature. Getting to a better stopping point, you dip a piece of the bread in the soup, and look towards Ari.
He’s staring directly at you. Those crystal blue eyes of his rakes over your face curiously as if he’s studying you. As if you are the most interesting thing in the world. An abandoned newspaper beside his breakfast, but how could you be more interesting than whatever was in that?
Clearing your throat, you turn your gaze back to the book, and read nothing. You can still feel his warm and curious eyes as you try to breathe. Just breathe. Going to the swimming hole has lit something in you. Something deep within your body, and it is purely physical. You want him. You want him like the characters in your books, and that just brings on even more questions.
Questions that have you fearing their answers. Was Ari even aware of the books he had given you to read? Was that his plan all along? Because there is something stirring, and you don’t know how to deal with it. Between him and what you’re reading it’s becoming too much. It fizzles lower than your belly, and you have a feeling that Ari is the only one that can fix it.
Ari shifts in his chair, and you look over towards him. If he wants your attention, he can have a bit of it. You’re almost too embarrassed and scared to give him your full attention. “I want to apologize for the other day?”
“Apologize?” You ask a bit confused. What exactly is he apologizing for? And why was the fact that he was apologizing and admitting he did something wrong — desirable? Men around here were right, and you were just to accept it.
“For the swimming hole,” you nod once, your vision turning to an odd scratch in his table. Your father would have already had that buffed out. “I think things got a bit heated, and if I crossed the line, I’m sorry.”
“You didn’t. Not really,” you gulp as you try and find the words. These books have been giving you so many new words that you aren’t sure if you can or should put them into a sentence. But there is one thing that seems to be common amongst the women, “It’s just so fast. And it’s overwhelming and I don’t know how to deal with what I’m feeling,” that didn’t sound too bad.
“What exactly are you feeling?” He adjusts his seat. Putting his forearms onto the table, while he leans forward. Giving you more attention than anyone else ever has, “If you’re comfortable,” you shake your head quickly, and he smiles. He has a pretty smile. A smile that you can feel radiate all the way to your toes, and that makes no sense at all.
“We should go swimming again,” you look at him, a smile creeping up on your face. “If-if you want to, that is. I can get you a bathing suit, and you can feel free to ask me anything. I could be like an open book, if you will.”
“Anything?” He whispers out, yes, and you let those words sink a moment before nodding, and picking your book back up. You read a paragraph about fifteen times without even absorbing what the words mean. But you have to quit looking at him. You have to keep him off your mind, while you try not to explode.
Anything. Anything that you can come up with, he’s willing to answer. You need to gather your thoughts, and think about what you would like to ask him. What if you irritated him to the point that he didn’t want to answer questions anymore? You had to make these questions count for something.
Ari is a strange character. He’s intense in ways that your community isn’t. Here the men just had a stern hand. They walked around being able to do what they wanted to because they were men. They just had to stick to the Amish ways, or at least not get caught. Judging by the church service over the weekend, people are having the same thoughts about you.
You could hear the whispers, and the backwards glances. Gossiping is a sin. Ari is your friend though. He doesn’t talk about you, he talks with you. A worldly man, and he gave you his undivided attention, and even his touches.
And why shouldn’t you be friends with Ari? It’s not like you’re doing something you shouldn’t be. You’re enjoying time with him, and learning from him. That’s more like a teacher. Except — Ari doesn’t look anything like the teachers you grew up with. He’s tall, large, and thick, and he makes your body ache in weird ways. You’re sure he’s not feeling the same way as you, so it’s best to keep these feelings suppressed.
But these stupid books are not helping. There’s something within them that just makes sense. They’re answering and describing a lot of things you’ve been feeling, but how does one know if your teacher is feeling the same way? How do you know if Ari is just as much of a knotted up mess as you are?
“So,” Ari starts, whatever his train of thought was, depleting. He’s not usually one to be shy, that’s typically you.
“What?” Laying your book down, you smile up at him. “Ari, what is it?”
“If I ask, you have to promise to not get mad,” now what is he up to that would make you get mad?
“I thought we were friends?”
“Yes!” His shout makes you flinch, and you giggle at your silly reaction. “I’m sorry, but yes, we’re friends. And I’m only trying to help you out. I took a guess at…your size of bra.”
“Oh,” your eyes fall back to the table. You had read about bras. There’s no way that the scratch on the table are as exciting as you’re making it. But looking at Ari is almost painful, “You know everything I wear, I’ve made myself, right?”
Ari inhales deeply, his own eyes looking at the odd mark on the table now. He actually didn’t know that, and now he fears he’s overstepped his boundaries. You like to think the scratch resembles an upside down J, but more rounded instead of a straight like. “Do you know what a bra is?”
“Essentially, yes. But,” your cheeks flare up with embarrassment, but you refuse to let this be another moment of trying to run away from him. It’s all you feel you’re doing, running away. You stand your ground of being present with him. “I don’t wear one.”
“Do you want to? Or have I gone too far??”
The women in the books all wear bras, and you’d be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t want to experience some of the moments in the books. Unable to answer, you just nod your head. “Do you know how to put one on?”
“I think I can figure it out. Were you about to offer to help me?” This is very much the flirting that the books talk about. His crooked little grin goes wider across his face, and his cheeks flame up. Turning rosy while you can’t stop smiling. It feels good not to be the only one that has this rumbling in your stomach.
“I may have,” his nostrils flare as he takes a deep breath. “I got you some panties, and they had a matching set with the bras, and…I don’t know, I figured you might like them? They’d be pretty on you,” He’s thoughtful, if not a shameless flirt. But still it feels nice to be seen, and thought of. “I’ve heard that it can make a woman feel sexy even if nobody sees it.”
Ugh, that gross feeling settles in your craw. Anger is not becoming of an Amish woman, but this doesn't feel like anger. It feels disgusting, and it hurts. You can nearly feel it blooming outwardly in your body, and you only want him to see you in your underwear. Nobody else. You want him to stop talking about other women, even if he’s had them. You want to be the only woman on his mind.
“Maybe they can show you what it looks like then?” His brow cocks up, and you push your chair back with a loud squeak. “I think it’s time for you to get to work.”
“Are you — jealous?” His words halt you in your tracks as you purse your lips. “Darling, there is no other woman in my life but you.”
“But there was, and I don’t much like hearing about them,” of course he couldn’t understand the feeling. You are pure, while he has had others.
“They were in the past, and…”
“And did they show you their panties as well?” He sucks his bottom lip into his mouth. Contemplating the best way to proceed. “I see. I’m assuming they also have mated with you.”
“You are jealous,” his words are flat, and if they were mocking you, you might not feel as angry as you do right now. “There’s nothing to be jealous about.”
“How can I be something I don’t even understand what it means? Ari, you should really go outside, and start your chores for today, while I start mine,” what you really want is for him to leave you alone while you’re left with the debilitating thoughts that won’t stop pounding through your mind.
He sighs, pushing his chair back as he goes to stand. Staring at you while you look at anything that isn’t him. The burning sting that you feel oozes into you, and makes you feel weak and filthy. You hate it, and you hate when he does that to you.
“You’re right, Darling. I’m sorry,” what he’s apologizing for, you aren’t sure, but it doesn’t fully quell the sludge bubbling in your stomach. “I figured the bedroom upstairs could be yours,” that came from nowhere. You study him as he fights for the words to say next.
“Maybe you should look in the drawers. You’re doing a great job here, and I can’t thank you enough. Take some time off today,” you start to object. Blubbering through words, but his calloused finger presses up against your pouty lips, and you’re stunned into submission.
You look up at him through your lashes, feeling smaller than you actually are. He’s massive. His size always seems to make you feel like a child. “There’s less to do here because it’s just me. As your employer, I am telling you to take it easy today. Do I make myself clear?” Your throat is dry, almost on the verge of hurting as you nod your head. He wasn’t going to take no for an answer, so what are you supposed to do? Continue to argue and lose? No. You’ll just accept his warning.
“Everything in that room is yours,” he says with finality as he stalks to the door, and out for the day.
You’re left reeling. Playing over every word said this morning while you try and figure out all that is happening. Big strong Ari makes you very weak in the knees, and wet. That’s what the books say, and that is what you feel. The books have a perfect way of explaining the things that are going on in your hidden areas.
These feelings you can’t explain, but the books do. But what they suggest to take care of those feelings seems forbidden. Gathering up your current book, you lift your skirts a bit as you walk up the stairs. Counting each one on the way up. Fifteen. Fifteen steps until you reach the top landing.
Journeying down the hallway, you stop and take a peek in the first room. Ari’s. He actually made the bed today, but didn’t close his drawers all the way. He told you not to work today, but you can’t let those drawers stay open, so you take a few steps to it, and close them. Looking out the window you see him squinting up at the house before he smiles, and looks back at Jacob and the other two boys.
He saw you in his room. You had no business being in here, and you wonder if he’s going to punish you for not listening to him. It didn’t matter. What’s done is done, and you’ll accept whatever punishment he deems fit. You’ll just go to your room, as Ari called it.
It’s prettier than his. Showing oddly feminine furniture that are a bit too decorative to be Amish, but you like them. Love them actually. Love the way the intricate golden vines sprawl out over the sturdy wood, but it’s inside that has got you curious. You walk over to the window, and see Ari smiling at you again. Tipping his hat before you close the curtains.
Is he watching you? Waiting to see what you think of this bedroom? Or even what’s in the closet and drawers? Which makes you wonder, what exactly is in there. Opening the door to the closet, you take a step back as your eyes flick over the frocks. So many colors. And fabrics. Tags on them let you know that they weren’t made by someone, but you adore them all the same.
Pulling out on dress, you flatten it over your body, and turn to look at a floor length mirror, that definitely isn’t Amish. Vanity is a sin. But peering into the looking glass you get the appeal. You run your fingers over the lavender material as you swish around. Trying to get a feel of what it would look like on your body before you lay it on the bed.
You should try it on. But first where are the bras, those sets, that Ari spoke about. You go to the dresser, and open up a drawer. Smiling when you see the multitude of colors and materials in there. They were beautiful. It’s one thing that truly bothered you about your community, they want to praise God because of the beauty he created, while you are left to mope around in drab tones.
Don’t bring attention to oneself. But this would be under your clothes and only you and Ari would know. These are things you would be proud to show him, and even tell him how pretty they make you feel. You choose a pretty pale pink set. The bottoms have a bit less material than what you have been wearing. But the top looks so fresh and light that you need it on your skin. And then you can try on the dress.
Maybe even show Ari, and ask what he thinks. You stare at yourself in the mirror as you put the pieces on. Spinning and turning to admire the way they fit on your body. How they hug your curves, and lift your breasts. Your fingers tickle over the cups, and your body jerks back at the sensation. That…that was a lot for very little effort. It’s only partially of how Ari makes you feel. He has you wound so tight that it’s sometimes difficult to breathe.
He makes you feel like your skin is on fire. That your blood is so hot and boiling that it physically turns your body into a furnace. Every time. The serious tone, and the way he looks at you with those pouting eyes. The intensity you feel between the two of you swells, and you need something. The books make that something seem easy, but the way you feel, and what you have been taught is anything but simple. It’s a sin. A loathsome and filthy sin. But why does his smile and touch make you feel good?
It’s something that could get you shunned out of your community. Something that nobody even talked about. It’s to be had, but kept secret. You’ve read enough in the books to know it’s not just breeding, although that seems to be a colorful time. But a pleasure that takes you out of your body and puts you into an out of body experience. You just had to ask Ari a few things about parts, and what they actually mean, and do. Maybe you’d ask him to go back to the swimming hole. You could have a picnic dinner planned, and you are not going to run away. You’re going to force yourself to stay, and learn.
Tumblr media
“Fuck,” you hear an angry growl coming from the front door, and make your way down the stairs. His arms flail around on the porch as he removes his shirt. Legs dancing around and stomping on the shirt before he comes inside.
Welts form on his body as he starts swatting his thick chest, and you rush to him, “Fuckfuckfuckfuck,” his words stop immediately when he sees you. Sorrowful for saying that word in front of you, but the pain overtakes him as he groans, swatting at his chest again.
“Your hurt,” that much is obvious as you look over his skin. “Let me wash my hands. Yellow jackets?”
“Yeah,” his voice is strained as he follows you into the kitchen. “What do I need to do?” You give him a point to the chair, and he follows your lead. Mixing up a little concoction, you grab a towel, and kneel between his legs.
Your soft and delicate hands move over his ample chest. Stopping on each welt to make sure you remove every stinger. You can’t look up at him, but feel his eyes never leave yours, “What happened?”
“I was actually plowing, and ran right into a nest. There’s none on my back. They got in the front of my shirt, Darling,” he wants to plead to you not to get off your knees. To stay there while he has the most intrusive impure thoughts about you. You gulp, reaching up to the table, and grab your little bowl.
“It may sting a bit,” whispering as you press a hand on his broad chest. His heart is beating just as fast as yours, an he leans back, so you can lift up off your haunches. Forgetting what it is you’re supposed to be doing as you watch the rise and fall of his body. He’s beautiful, and it’s suffocating to think about how close you are. How you can still feel the heat of the sun on his skin.
“What is that?” He asks with a smile, and you remember what it is you’re supposed to be doing. Gathering up a little bit of the paste, you smooth it over the first sting, and he hisses. Everything in your body buzzes as you rub it into another sting. “Darling? You okay?”
No, you’re not, but you nod because it’s the safest thing as you spread out the salve right beside his nipple. Your eyes roll up to meet him, and you freeze. The way he is staring at you seems just right. Your body is on fire, but it doesn’t feel sinful. “I-i-i-it’s meat tenderizer,” you sound like the girls who have a boy courting them, and you can’t make the silliness stop.
“What?” The rumble of his chuckle vibrates straight to your core, and you clench your thighs together trying to make it stop. How does a laugh send sensations there? Everything Ari does makes the central area of your body fill with need. Feel the need for him to do something. Anything.
“It works, doesn’t it?” There’s heat coursing through you to Ari. Spreading between the two of you, and you can’t make things move. Your hands fall to his thighs, and you whimper at the feeling of the cords of muscle that make up the majority of him. He’s big everywhere. You just know it. The books said as much, but you don’t dare ask a question about those areas.
His mouth turns up into a soft grin as he leans forward. Inching closer and closer to you, and you’re immobilized, but not by fear. Whatever is happening you pray that it happens faster. The way that your body bends into his, curving at your back, and you look up at him.
Ari licks his lips, and lifts a hand under your chin. Holding you in place, and placing you how he wants you. His lashes splay over his cheeks as he takes a quick glance to your lips before closing his eyes, and you copy his movements. Primed and ready for his lips to brush softly against yours, and he intakes a long breath before you pucker out your own, and he gently and tenderly presses against your plump lips.
His tongue tickles on the pillows of your mouth, and they part on their own accord. Your taste buds are assaulted with the tangy taste of tea. Trying to taste more, your tongue darts out, tasting his tongue, and those thick arms wrap around your body, lifting you higher up. Swallowing every shallow breath, and every whimper that escapes you.
The two of you melt into one another. Nothing has ever felt like this, and that fuzzy feeling spreads in your belly. No lower. “Ari,” you say his name breathlessly as he gulp for air. Your lungs pain with the wide spread of oxygen, and you still hunger for Ari. He pulls you up into his lap. Refusing to remove his mouth from you, and his hands explore the curves that your dress always hides.
Kissing from your lips, down to your jaw as your body starts to rock into him. Movements you’ve never made before, and you want more. He takes his mouth to your neck, giving the sensitive column a little nibble, and you yip. Mewling out his name, and he smiles on your skin, “You like that?”
You don’t have time to ask him to make the buildup inside of you stop because the front door slings open, and booming steps walk towards the kitchen, “Ari, you…” you stand up quickly from his lap, and smooth down your skirts, shamefully looking away from Jacob. Your whole body spinning around while Ari sits in the chair nonchalantly with his legs spread wide. Both arms rest on his legs, while his hands hang over his crotch. Hiding the effect you had on him.
“Are you okay?” Jacob looks between the two of you, and you walk over to the empty sink. Staring into the porcelain like your vision can manifest dirty dishes. Don’t look at him. Don’t speak to him. He is Amish, and you’re now alone with two men. “I came to check on you. Jedidiah said you came in here cursing up a storm. We don’t like to hear such things, but for the women, especially.”
“Jacob, I’m fine. Um…meat tenderizer, does the trick every time,” Jacob looks between the two of you as Ari stands from the chair. Towering over Jacob, “Don’t barge into my house. Okay?”
“Was she…?”
“She was tending to my stings, and now I feel brand new. I’ll meet you back outside,” Jacob’s dark green eyes look over to your back, and you keep staring at the overly clean sink. Why did you have to be so sufficient? “I’ll be out shortly, Jacob.”
The boy gives a nod to Ari, and reluctantly walks away. Trying to think of any kind of scenario that could explain the quick movement that he witnessed. But Ari can only think of you. Slowly he walks over to your side, and his hand rests under chin, and he turns you to look at him, while his thumb grazes over your kiss-swollen lips.
His thoughts are only on your embarrassment and questions you have to be having right now. “Darling, what happened isn’t wrong.”
“I know, it doesn't feel wrong, it feels forbidden, and private,” he wishes there was a way to make you not feel so much guilt, but you are hardwired that way. He doesn’t want to overwhelm you, but he doesn’t know the words to say to reassure you of that. He wants you to know that what he feels for you is beyond just the physical part. That he has a need to take care of you.
The only reason he’s even entertaining this place still is because of you. He can’t say all that. Can’t say that he wants to pick you up, and set you on the counter while he lifts up your skirts, and worships you between your thighs. Fuck everyone’s small minded thoughts in this community because you deserved to be respected, loved, and cherished. And above all feel pleasure without shame.
“Ari, I can’t stop feeling funny around you.”
“What does that even mean?”
“I don’t know?” How does one explain that you what you want with him is what is going on in the books? You didn’t even know what was going on in the books. You know there are wifely duties to her husband, but you didn’t know if that’s how a wife surrendered to her husband. The women in the books receive pleasure and compliments beyond your wildest imaginations. The women here bore children. There seems to be a difference there.
“Try to explain it?”
“It feels fuzzy, and I want something that I don’t even know what it is. And I want,” you bite your lip, and Ari wants to drop to his knees. He knows that would be too much right now. But you need the edge to be taken off of you.
“Did — did you enjoy the kiss?”
“Maybe too much.”
“Why do you say that?”
You stare up at him, eyes darting all around his ridiculously handsome face, and try to think of the words that won’t embarrass you. No one has ever talked to you about kissing, or even how it would make you feel. All you know is from the books. The men in those books seem to understand, and like it.
“It’s just that arousal has pooled in my core,” his eyes go wide, and he looks towards your belly. He’s speechless. His hand grips onto the counter, knuckles whitening, and his hip juts out. You hear him audibly counting, although it’s barely spoken. “You should go back outside.”
“I should take you swimming, and have some privacy with you,” he wants to take his time with you. Lavish you with so much attention that you can’t even think straight. The way he wants to spoil you with pleasures beyond your wildest imagination.
“It’s not an actual pool,” he blows out a slow bit of air, while you try to understand what he’s thinking. It isn’t about where he takes you, it’s just about being alone and uninterrupted.
“I know exactly what is happening to your body,” of course he does because he’s made other women feel like this. You want to scream, and tell him to leave you alone.
“Because there are other women who understood these feelings, and they were more appealing to you. You don’t have to tell me about them every chance you get. Please, Ari, go finish your chores, and I will see you at dinner,” you need to end the conversation, and you begin to spin around, but he grabs ahold of your wrist, “Ari?”
“I’m not walking out that door with you feeling jealous,” you aren’t jealous. You are angry. “There might have been other women, because I wasn’t shunned into thinking that it was a sin, but no woman has ever appealed to me the way you have. No other woman has made me feel as hard as you do,” that phrase. It meant something important. That’s what the books stated. “We’re continuing this conversation at the swimming hole tonight. Don’t worry about dinner. You’re eating English pizza.”
He drops your wrist, and marches out the front door. Picking up his shirt, he shakes it out, making sure the hideous creatures that marred his skin were no longer there. He should have got another one. What did he even mean? Harder — that could only describe one thing. But you’d have to ask Ari exactly what it all meant.
Tumblr media
You wring your hands together as you pace around his living room. You had already watched the hired hands leave, and Ari picked up his phone, and dialed a number and was gone. He told you the conversation would continue, and you want it to, but you’re nervous. Nervous about him, or what he thinks. Nervous about you and whatever your body is doing. But you like it. Really like it.
And that kiss, you are swooning so hard. He put his tongue in your mouth just like the books said. And of all the books you read, you couldn’t have been prepared for the actual alarms that went off in your body. How perfect it felt, and just how sparks flew through every limb and ligament, and you felt as if you could fly.
The books didn’t fully prepare or warn you of that. How it felt like there’s fish in your stomach swimming around. Or how you ached, and throbbed in ways you couldn’t explain, so he had to do it. He had to come clean and tell you everything, but how do you start that conversation? You know what you have to do, but you aren’t sure if you have the guts to actually do it.
Could you go through with it? Ari isn’t the average man, and you know he’s not going to fall for your — is this what games are? One book mentioned the games women played. Are you playing games with him? No. You’ve made it clear, you told him what you were feeling, and he wants to continue the conversation. And there are — things that happen in the books. Where the men put their hands, and other things, and they have opened up so many possibilities, and you want to explore them all. You think. So many questions that you need answered.
You jump back a step, and put your hands behind your back as Ari walks in through the door with a box of pizza, his bright eyes looking you up and down before motioning to the kitchen, “Do you want to eat here, or do you want to have a picnic?”
“Picnic. I think you need to cool down, and get the dirt off you,” he nods, and grabs a few sodas from the fridge, and a blanket. He starts to walk out the back door, and you skip off after him. There is a tension in the air that can physically seep through your bones, and you want it smoothed away. You know that he’s not angry with you, he’s just lacking the words to say to you.
Stopping at the swimming hole, you grab the blanket from him, and lay it out on the ground, and he places the drinks and pizza down. He tugs at his shirt, until it’s thrown onto the blanket, and you watch his muscles ripple, and he’s kicking off his boots, and yanking his pants down. Standing in front of you like the giant he is. “Are you going to join me?”
“Nobody comes out here?” He shakes his head no, starting to walk backwards to the river, and you gulp. Reaching towards your buttons, before dropping your hands. Your eyes scan over the location before you tell yourself this is what they do in the books, and you like Ari, and want to feel the way those women did.
Your fingers tremble as they undo each button one at a time, and you let your dress fall to the ground. Ari’s boxer briefs tighten instantly as he stares at your backside. The cute bikini cut of your panties having a bit of your asscheeks hanging out. The soft pink color sitting on your skin like it was painted on there.
And then you turn around with your arms covering your top. You are wearing one of the matching sets he got you. “I can’t see anything you don’t want me to see,” timidly you peel your arms away, and walk towards the river. He stands up, walking closer, and you yip. He’s bigger, like he was before. He holds up his hand and you take it, so he can assist you in the water, and get a bit more coverage than before.
“You look beautiful,” he can’t help the way his eyes move all over every bit of exposed skin.
“Vanity is a sin,” keeping you covered was the sin.
“And I’m no angel,” you knew that to be true. He was both holy and unholy. A twinge of guilt pangs in your chest, as you glance between the two of you.
“How do they fit?”
“Hmm?” He shakes his head, meeting your eyes again. He has to focus if he wants this conversation to go anywhere. But the way your nipples are pressing against that thin material has him ready to blow a loud immediately. The fabric already see through with the moisture, and it’s pointless now. You should just remove it.
“My panties. Did they fit well?”
“Yeah,” he answers dopely, and you glance away with your cheeks setting on fire. The heat spreads throughout your body, as you stare at him through the crystal clear water. He’s even bigger. And your body longs to feel him against you again.
“Remember when you told me if ever I have any questions, you’d answer?” He gives you a nod. Letting his mouth sink below water, he swims and floats all around you like a shark with his meal for the night. Circling you like his prey, while you try to find a less blatant way to ask a question.
Him surrounding you just lights everything on fire. Like your blood is lava, and even the cold river isn’t stopping it. Things are happening to you that you didn’t understand, and even if you’re overwhelmed, you don’t hate it. You want to understand it, and want to know how to quell it.
“I guess first things first,” you inhale deeply, looking at him, and unable to take your eyes away. It’s like he needs you as much as you need him, and that doesn’t even make sense. “What’s a cock?”
So much happens in such a short time. Ari inhales before his mouth can get out of the water. Choking and sputtering on the water that he sucked into his lungs, and you’re able to maneuver yourself in front of him, and you grab his face, trying to get him to calm before you sink under water. Forgetting that you can’t swim because Ari is in trouble.
He lifts you up, bringing you straight onto his body, and his eyes capture yours. You feel both of your heartbeats in the most bizarre places as he clings to you. Those thick hands splay a bit too low on your back, to the point it isn’t really just your back. He’s so big. “What did you say?”
“A cock. What is it? It’s not like a rooster, obviously.”
“I think it’s better for me to show you,” you asked the question, and he couldn’t help his slimy little comment to come out. He’d show you his cock whenever you want him to. He wants to make an offer if you see it, you have to taste it.
“What does that mean?” Holding you with one arm, he pulls your hand, placing it on his swollen underwear. You whimper as you look into his eyes, and his hand flattens on yours, guiding you to massage his bulge. “And that’s — what goes in me?” How is that ever going to fit anywhere on you?
“What?”
“And that’s where the cum is from. Mmm,” your eyes look through the water, watching your hands as it palms his cock. “Can I see it? Is this how fucking works? Your cock goes into my cunt, and you shoot your cum into my belly. Would you want to see the cum leak out of me? I have so many questions, and you’re not answering, you’re just moaning. What do you taste like?”
“You’re killing me,” no you weren’t. In the books, this is what the men wanted the women to do. They wanted to fuck them deep and hard, and fuck their mouth. This is what men want. “Where are you getting all these words from?”
“The books. So, if you’re not in your underwear, how big is your cock. And what’s my cunt…oh my,” your eyes roll into the back of your head as his hand cups your covered mound, and you bite at your lip. Both of you rubbing each other, and it still doesn’t feel like it’s enough. Like something is missing. “What is fucking then?”
“You probably shouldn’t say that around your community. That’s a very bad word, and you’re such a naughty girl. But if you really want to know what fucking is, we got to start by stretching. Can I touch you under the panties?” He’s never prayed before this moment, but he prays you say yes. All this conversation has done is create a need to feel you from the inside.
“What?”
“It’s easier for me to show the true function of your cunt, if I can go inside of you,” you moan. Your body curves more into him, bringing your core right to his cock. Your body needs to be fucked, but you deserve to have someone make passionate love with you.
“Like finger fucking? Fingering, right? You’ll scissor your fingers inside of me, so you can stretch me out? Yes, can you show me?” His pinky moves aside your panties, and when his bare hands touch you, the moan you let out doesn’t even sound human.
“Shh, you’ve got so much repressed sexual energy, you’re about to blow before I even touch you. This right here, is your pussy, or as you like to call it your cunt,” you didn’t quite understand. His fingers roam over your split, but they were nothing compared to what you held in your hand. His fingers feel baby like. His cock that you try to wrap your hands around feel otherworldly.
“But this,” his fingers push past through your body, and you feel him in your throat. Pressing your forehead against his, and you can no longer hold his cock as you let his fingers roam around inside of you. It didn’t make any sense, and even though you know it will be frowned upon, this pleasure is too good to give up. “This beautiful hole, is your pussy. But…”
Ari’s mouth falls open as you succumb to the pleasure. Your mouth agape, and brows furrowed as you just feel him. “If I can make you come, are you going to give your pussy to me?”
“What’s coming?” he adds a second finger, and you raise your body off him a bit. The stretch is much more intense, and the fullness is mind-blowing. This is what going dumb means. There’s no thoughts, just the way that Ari is making you feel, but also how he feels inside of you. Like he belongs there. A thumb presses down on your entrance, and the sounds that flow out of your mouth make Ari moan.
“I can’t explain coming, you’ll just know. This is your clit,” his thumb circles around the little bean, and your body jumps around. You didn’t believe in magic, but if you did, it belonged in Ari’s fingertips. Your body starts rolling into him, lifting your drenched tits out of the water.
The fabric of your bra is too thin, and your nipples protrude out. If you think you’re overwhelmed, he’s a dead man. His eyes don't know what to look at. He wishes he could see his fingers dragging in and out of your heavenly pussy. Desires nothing more than to see your tits free and bouncing around as he fucks his fingers into you. But it isn’t until he feels your walls flutter, around that he just stops and enjoys what he sees.
Eyes closing tightly as he drives in harder. Faster. Curling his fingers, he hits a tender spot that takes all thoughts away. Tight circles on your clit. Everything working in harmony. Until the dam breaks, and you are gasping and panting for air. Unable to open your eyes, he lets your cunt relax around him before he pulls out his fingers, placing them directly into his mouth where he can suck off your diluted juices.
“That’s coming,” he’s so proud at how well you took him. How beautiful and perfect you looked as you came undone, and he wants to see it again. And again.
“So different from cum. Will you show me your cum?” You are trying to murder him. There’s no other way around this. You are saying all the innocent and filthy things that come to your mind, and he wants you to partake in everything. Whatever books you’re reading, he’ll buy you five thousand more, just so you continue to stay curious for him.
“I’ll paint you with my cum if that’s what you need. But, you just had your first orgasm. I think it’s time for us to eat. Maybe you can show me your pussy outside of the water,” you take some staggered breaths before you open your eyes, looking at him confused.
“But it’s your pussy now,” fuck, he says in his head, and your staring at him seriously. “But how does a cock feel going inside?”
“Not a cock,” you don’t understand. That’s what the books say. “My cock. But not today. I bet that was your first kiss today wasn’t it?” You nod your head. It’s not something that’s done. Things like that are for marriage. And you’d assume whatever his fingers were doing earlier is as well.
“And there’s other lips I can kiss that’ll make you feel even better,” Ari gives your sweet little cunt a few taps with his palm, and the way you look at him so sweetly and whisper please has things on overdrive. He maneuvers you to his front. Coaxing your legs to wrap around his waist as he grinds you on him. “Just like this. You feel how hard you made me?”
“Yeah,” you struggle to get out. “You’re so — big.”
“And you’ll learn to take every inch of me. I’ll have you stretched out so wide around my cock, and you’re going to beg for me to go harder. You’re such a sweet girl, but you want to be my filthy little slut, huh?” In the past you’ve heard those words in such negative terms. But when Ari calls you his, it has you melting into him. Arching your back, you see his eyes go to your breasts.
“You’ll suck on my pebbled peaks, too?”
“Darling, I’ll suck on every part of your body,” whimpering out his name he moves you over him harder. Grunting, growling, and deep breathing. He watches you. You’re about to get off again, and it’s a shame he can’t see your body glistening with his cum that’s about to blow all over your virgin pussy.
“Darling, I’m a sucker for you. You ready?” You nod your head excitedly as he crashes his lips into yours. He devours your moans, gifting you with his own. Creating waves in an otherwise steady river with your movements, until you feel the most beautiful warmth spurt against your skin. “That’s what you fucking do to me. I’ve never came like that before.”
He pants as he looks over your face. Your eyes are wide as they watch him. “It may be a sin, Darling, but you’re worth it,” and you think he’s worth it, too. There’s no way these Amish men could ever be so vulgar with you. It’s depraved, and you sink even further into his hell with him. Your purity be damned because you know it belongs to him.
“I think the books my sister suggested for me to get are complete and utter trash. But you keep reading, and figure out what you like. Write it down. Maybe one day I’ll not only fuck you, but fuck my cum inside of your cunt so deep, that…” he stops, what the fuck was he saying? He’s never desired for children. But the thought of you filled to the brim with his cum, and watching it drip out of you has him reeling. The thought of fucking you everyday before you go home thrills him. Have you walking around with a used pussy, and nobody knows that he took your virtue. They didn’t deserve you.
He has visions of you taking him every way possible. Sobbing out his name while he has his seed dripping out of you. But it isn’t enough. That is just for him. The lips of your pussy swollen from how hard he fucks you will be just for him. But your belly swollen and full of him, nobody could deny. He would have you and nobody else could. He’d have to save you and take you away from this disgusting place. And this is just crazy.
“But, refrain from talking about fucking, and my cock and that beautiful little pussy. Let’s keep it to just us. If you do, I’ll make sure you get to come on my cock.”
“Do I get to taste it?”
“Fuck,” he sighs. You want to try it all, and are eager, and scared, and timid, and it makes it that much more satisfying. Your little bit of jealousy ignited something inside of him. You wanted him just as much as he wanted you, and the thought of him fucking some other woman made you angry. No, it pissed you off. Made you all bratty and snippy. He wanted to push you to your knees, and shove his cock past those pouty lips to remind you the only person that is making his dick wet is you.
“Darling, the first time I come inside of you, I’ll gather the leaking cum with my cock, and let you suck it off. Two holes will be filled with me,” it sounds so — you can’t even think of words. You just know that the books and Ari are your undoing. But once that door is opened, can it fully be closed?
You had Ari inside of you, and you craved more. Addiction is a sin, but Ari was worth sinning for.

It’s Not A Costume
Peter Parker x gn!reader
WC: 753
CW: fluff; mentions of food
Summary: You mess around in your boyfriend’s suit even though you’re not supposed to
Day 26 of mk’s mad dash
Tumblr media
When you arrived to Peter’s apartment, he wasn't there. But Aunt May was, and she happily let you in. Basically a fixture in their home from how often you were over at their place, you quickly got comfortable on the couch and caught up with May while she basically force fed you goldfish.
As the time grew later you grew more worried, but she assured you that it wasn’t uncommon for Peter to be home late after visiting Tony Stark. You trusted her wholeheartedly and tried to keep her words in the back of your mind when she left you to go on a date.
You decided a distraction was exactly what you needed so you wandered into Peter’s room looking for that very distraction. The legos on his desk caught your immediate attention- especially considering he rarely let you play with them since they were “not a toy.”
But when you were so scared of breaking them every two seconds, the fun fizzled out very quickly.
You tried to entertain yourself with Peter’s smart-person books, but it was about as interesting to you as watching paint dry. It’s only when you chucked his books back over by his backpack that a flash of red and blue caught your attention.
Peter’s suit.
If your boyfriend was cautious about his legos, he was absolutely, insanely protective over his suit. You understood why, but like a child who’s told not to do something, his protectiveness only made you itch to wear the suit more.
And what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him…
You peaked outside Peter’s window and strained your ears for any footsteps down the hall to confirm that he wasn’t coming back to catch you.
Then, with near overwhelming giddiness, you snatched up his suit and slid it on, the surprisingly silky material gliding over the exposed parts of your skin.
Though you knew you and your boyfriend were different sizes, the suit still seemed oddly sized for Peter’s size and stature. You felt around for some sort of zipper or tie or something to tighten it, but came up with nothing. But when you patted your hands around your chest, the suit suddenly moved of its own accord, molding to your physique naturally.
Admittedly, you let out a yelp of surprise that you were glad no one else was around to hear.
You then threw the mask over your head but didn’t touch it otherwise, too afraid to let the spandex-like material tighten over your face.
(You liked breathing, thank you very much.)
The reflection you were met with in Peter’s bedroom mirror set your heart alight with excitement. You felt and looked super fucking cool, and even did the little hand motion you’d seen your boyfriend do many times to shoot his webs.
Too busy admiring the suit on you, you didn’t hear the apartment door open or the approaching footsteps of Peter. It was only once his door creaked open and a series of apologies began flying from his mouth that you noticed.
“Baby I’m so sorry I’m late. Mr. Stark got caught up explaining some new technology to me and then he invited me to an Avenger’s dinner and-“
Peter paused, finally taking in the sight of you.
“Baby, what are you doing?” He whined, “You know you’re not supposed to mess around in my suit! It’s not a costume!”
You, at least, had the decency to look sheepish, though your boyfriend wouldn’t know with the mask still covering your face.
“I was bored,” you pout, “it’s your fault for leaving me alone with so many temptations.”
And though Peter couldn’t see your face, he could already imagine your pouty lips and big eyes that always made his heart clench happily.
He sighed and dropped his stuff to the floor, walking over to you. Gently, he lifted the mask off your head and grinned softly at your pout.
“I’m sorry baby, you’re right.”
Peter gave you a sweet peck on the lips.
“What can I do to make it up to you?”
You feigned being lost in thought, but really you already knew the answer.
“Let me play in your suit for a few more minutes.”
You could already sense his protests of “it’s not a costume” on his lips again, but he bit them back.
“Okay baby. Five more minutes.”
A loud squeal escaped your lips and you jumped into his arms, wrapping your legs around his waist.

Hey there, saw you were so short requests for Astarion. I'll make it short and simple for ideas. How about either; autistic-coded, plus size or shorter! Tav relationship with Astarion headcanon ideas?
Thanks for the ask. I decided to go with autistic Tav since I actually have an idea for a plus size Tav rolling around my idea doc.
Astarion x Autistic GN!Reader Headcanons
Astarion is so pretty, he intimidates you. You’ve always been an outsider, and the people that put you down the most are always the pretty, perfect, definitely not weird people.
Despite this, you start to find him nice enough, even letting him feed on you.
When Astarion starts flirting with you, you absolutely do not notice, much to his frustration.
When he eventually bluntly asks you for sex, it makes you so sad. Being the town oddball, you’re used to being propositioned as a joke. You quietly turn him down and decide Astarion isn’t your friend after all.
You keep feeding him though when he needs it. Mostly because you’re not sure how to tell him about how it made you feel.
Astarion is stunned you turned him down, sure you haven’t been responsive to his flirting, but you get along well enough. And he’s afraid, you need to be on his side since everyone looks up to you.
He tries to flirt a few more times, but he finds it hurts a little more each time you don’t reciprocate. Even worse, he starts thinking about how nice it would be if you did, even if it was just a smile thrown his way.
It’s so confusing, he stops even feeding from you, worried one night he’ll ask to just stay, to be allowed to even be in your presence for a few hours.
You’re always so quiet and reserved around him, but he starts to notice how there’s certain people you just bloom around. Karlach for example, you seem to have no problem chatting the large Tiefling’s ear off.
It would seem you just don’t like him.
One day the two of you are rummaging through a ruined house and end up in an old library. A shout from you makes him turn and ask if you’re alright.
You explain you’re excited because you found a book from this series you love. It’s these biographies of old nobles, heroes, etc., fictionalized but really fun.
You’re smiling and your eyes are so bright. Astarion’s never seen anything so beautiful.
Then it all dies in an instant. “I’m sorry, this is silly. I’m probably bothering you.”
Astarion wants to gut every person who ever made you feel that way. And he can tell there were many.
He hurries to assure you that you are not boring him, and this is not silly.
With a little prodding, you continue until the sound of Gnolls in the distance makes you both realize it’s time to go.
At the last second, he recalls he saw the author’s name in another pile that had fallen from the shelf. He plucks it out and hands it to you. “Now you have two.”
That night, you shyly turn up at his tent, asking if he’d like to borrow one.
At this point, he’d read a book Gale wrote on Tressyms just to talk with you about it.
“If you’ll stay and read with me.” He’s shocked you agree.
It’s becomes a ritual, you read together at night, and talk about it on the road during the day.
You’re finally all bright and cheerful with him, and it takes his breath away.
One night, he can’t resist and leans in to steal a kiss while you’re chatting.
You’re stunned. Normally you’d think he was making fun of you again, but now that you’ve gotten closer, it’s just confusing.
You finally have the courage to ask, and Astarion confesses how long he’s liked you.
You’re overwhelmed and take a while to speak, making Astarion afraid he’s just ruined everything.
When you do, everything spills out, as you hurriedly explain why you kept your distance.
Astarion really can’t believe that a kind, gorgeous person like yourself was some sort of strange outcast. But he is a Vampire so maybe he’s skewed.
The two of you take things slow, you don’t exactly have much experience in romance.
Which is nice, it let’s Astarion figure himself out a bit more.
He realizes that sometimes you get in over your head in social situations, and he’s always there to back you up or take over.
The first time you had a meltdown, you were both scared, Astarion that he'd caused it somehow and you that he'd see how abnormal you were.
Afterwards, he starts to open up more about disassociating and his nightmares.
You learn how to take care of each other when these things happen.
Astarion will admit he doesn't always follow the thought process that's going on in that lovely head of yours, but it makes you even more fascinating, not frustrating like you worry.
You call yourself strange and again he reminds you he's a literal blood sucking, undead, creature of the night. Who's the strange one?
When you talk about something you're passionate about, you're amazing to watch.
Astarion doesn't come with ingrained expectations you can never meet. He just wants you to be you.
You've never felt more comfortable and safe around anyone.
Astarion often threatens to head back to your hometown to teach a few people a lesson. You tell him it doesn't matter anymore, you're so happy right now, today
The two of you argue constantly about who's luckier to have ended up in this relationship. But it feels like you were made to be together.

I love your SWTE series! What about their first night alone after the twins are born!?
thank you so much!! 🥹 oh they def go to a hotel for a little getaway 🤭
based on this fic! 18+!
» au masterlist
it’s months before they finally feel in a good enough place to leave the twins with a close friend. they go over everything with her twice, reminding her not to hesitate to call over any little thing.
the hotel they booked is in the city, only half an hour drive away from home. it gives them both peace of mind knowing they’re close, but they vow to treat it like a vacation.
rafe’s season has been rough. the team just hasn’t been gelling and he’s not so sure about their chances in the play-offs.
it’s been a while since his girlfriend has felt confidence in herself, too. she’s been a stay at home mom, still getting used to the chaos of having twins and to the fact that her body has changed so much.
her relationship with rafe has been mainly focused on parenting. they need a date. desperately.
they get a private room in the restaurant so that they don’t have to deal with being recognized. tonight is about them only.
dinner is a long overdue chance at fun. rafe is reminded of why she became his best friend within months of knowing her all those years ago in college. they talk and laugh and order way too many appetizers.
when they walk into the hotel suite rafe booked after dinner, she’s almost at a loss for words.
“wow,” she breathes.
“you approve?” rafe says. she steps forward to look out at the city lights through the gigantic windows.
“it’s fine, i guess,” she jokes.
she feels him press up against her, his lips against the side of her neck. her body is on fire immediately. it’s been so long.
but the few times they’ve made love since the babies were born, it was in their bed, in the dark. the suite is softly lit, but it’s more than enough for him to see her naked body for the first time since she gave birth.
when his hands drag down her hips, she freezes. rafe is so intoxicated with the way her ass feels against him that he doesn’t even notice.
he continues to kiss her neck, his mouth hot on her.
“hey,” she says softly. “you know my body is… it’s different now.”
“hmm?” he mumbles.
she turns in his arms, still stiff from the feeling of his hands on her hips.
“i have a scar from the c-section,” she tells him, “and i carried two babies. i don’t look how i used to.”
rafe’s brows furrow in confusion.
“i just mean,” she says, eyes darting away, “don’t expect for me to be as hot as i used to be.”
“are you insane?” he asks. “you’re even hotter.”
“you haven’t seen me,” she says. she purposely doesn’t change in front of him and doesn’t give him opportunities to see her naked around the house.
his body is in perfect shape from his constant training and practice. but she doesn’t have the cheerleader’s body she had when they met. not even close.
“then let me see you,” he rasps. she bites her lip.
“maybe we shut off the lights?”
“fuck no,” rafe mutters with a chuckle. his hand trails up her back, finding the zipper of her dress and slowly pulling it down as he keeps his eyes locked on hers.
“rafe,” she says quietly. “i’m serious.”
“so am i. you’re not going to hide from me.”
her dress drops to the floor, pooled around her feet, leaving her in just her bra and panties.
she swears the man actually growls when he pulls her in by the waist, dipping to kiss her chest. she shudders as his fingers dip under the hook of her bra, taking it off impatiently.
she can feel how hard he is under his pants. while he could lie using his words, his body definitely can’t. he actually, really does want her. the feeling is overwhelming.
she finally eases into the motion, unbuttoning his shirt as he kisses over her collarbone. their bare chests are pressed together as he guides her to the bed, lying her down on the plush comforter.
“i’d have you up against that window,” he tells her, “but i don’t want anyone seeing what’s mine.”
his words make her feel dizzy. she pulls him down and kisses him hard. she didn’t expect to feel so wanted after he saw her naked for the first time in so long, but he seems even more passionate than he was back before she got pregnant.
rafe feels like he’s coming home when he’s on top of her like this. he can’t control his aggression, ripping her panties down and not even having the patience to take his boxers all the way off before sinking into her.
they exhale in sweet harmony when they meet, his hands pinning her wrists down against the bed as he starts to thrust.
“how hard do i have to go for you to know how hot you are?” he whispers through his short breaths.
she trembles, linking her legs around him, adjusting to his size like it’s the first time. he straightens his arms, hands still tight on her wrists, and meets her eyes as he rolls in and out of her with deep, perfect strokes.
“hard,” she challenges, simply because she knows he has it in him and that she can take it.
they make love over and over that night, lost in each other’s bodies, kissing so much that their lips get sore. afterwards, they’re tangled up naked in bed, panting and exhausted.
“i’m always going to want you, you know that?” he mumbles lazily against her neck.
she stares up at the ceiling. it’s hard to believe, considering he’s gained so much fame and popularity that he could get any woman he wanted.
“what?” he says when she doesn’t answer.
“you sure?”
“baby,” he half-chuckles. “i’m so fucking sure.”
“but my body isn’t-”
“your body gave me my children,” he interrupts. “end of story.”
she cracks a smile, gently slapping his shoulder.
“fine,” she murmurs. “end of story.”

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 29/March/2024
Very much a same-thing kind-of week! Writing and getting prepped towards the demo.
I mentioned before about having a different system in place for Book Four when it comes to editing and testing. The plan is to write one chapter, completely do all my own editing and testing on it, then move onto writing the next chapter. Whilst I then write the next chapter, the previous one can go to the editor before then going to the readers and testers.
Hopefully completely finishing up one chapter at a time will make things much easier than overwhelming my poor editor and readers with lots of chapters in one go, especially with there being so many more branches and variations that all weave in and out and together at this point in the series! It wasn’t as necessary for Book One and Two, but I definitely came to realise that things needed a more thorough go over by Book Three when it was all more intricate to work all the scenes and branches around each other!
But you know I LOVE my variations and branching, so I don’t want to compromise on writing those, it just meant a different process was needed.
It does mean I have to take more time between chapters, but in the end it should save time towards the end parts of the book when I usually save up a lot of my testing for then.
It’s all kind of an experiment, but I really think it will take the pressure off for a lot of the process!
Saying that, I already kind of got off plan because I started writing on Chapter Two because I hadn’t decided where Chapter One was ending, lol! :D
But I’m back to Chapter One and working my way through that, as well as dipping back into the character creator when needed as I go through it.
It’s a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, so we'll be back to it on Tuesday instead of Monday! (I do realise today is a bank holiday as well, but I really wanted to get just a bit more done on the editing!).
Hope you all have the most wonderful weekend! I’ll update you all again next Friday <3

For those with home related New Years Resolutions:
I’ve been a disabled homemaker for 5 years now so I wanted to share the resources that have helped me take our home from complete chaos to reasonably functional and enjoyable.
If you’re not functioning...
If you’re constantly tripping over things and getting injured, eating food that makes you sick, dealing with pests in the home, and struggling to complete basic tasks like feeding, clothing, and bathing yourself, then you should start with...
KC Davis aka StruggleCare aka DomesticBlisters

I recommend KC Davis’s stuff with a big heaping dose of “keep what works and leave what doesn’t.” She’s one of the few people I’ve seen talking about compassionate care focused on maintaining a level of personal functioning rather than maintaining a home. Her stuff has been very helpful to me during some very challenging times.
I think her some of her best work is probably her videos on the 5 step tidying process, the ones on setting up bedside hygiene and food kits, and the ones on dealing with DOOM (Didn’t Organize Only Moved) boxes.
That being said she has a tendency to use neurotype as a shield for not reckoning with other dynamics in a situation (gendered, narcissism, etc) when asked for advice by viewers which can lead to this “all people with neurodivergence are good” vibe which I find off putting (especially as an autistic person). I mention it because her bleh stuff was all I was coming across and I missed out on her good stuff for a while. It’s worth picking through though.
Her book is a little better on the whole.
If you’re functioning but still very overwhelmed...
If you can complete your daily activities of living pretty regularly but you’re still losing papers you need, rebuying items you didn’t realize you had, or looking around your home at a mess that feels impossible to clean, then check out...

I love Dana K. White’s stuff. Honestly, I recommend her to every level on this list but I think she probably shines brightest in this category.
Her 5 step decluttering process is pure fucking gold. It’s a decluttering process that doesn’t rely on feelings at all - really helpful for those with trauma or alexthymia generally. She has multiple videos explaining it and even more where you can watch her go step by step with someone over the course of an hour and make a huge dent in some very overwhelming mess. Its the process I’ve used to go through over 50 moving boxes to declutter so we could fit in this much smaller space we moved to in April.
Her day to day cleaning advice is also excellent. Her concept of dishes math has really helped me make decisions about what chores to focus on when I’m low energy. Her 14 Days to Opening Your Front Door series is amazing if you’re having to host for a given occasion but your home is a wreck.
If you’re not painfully overwhelmed by your stuff but there’s still a lot of friction in your home...
If your stuff doesn’t overwhelm you but your home still doesn’t feel that good to be in, you’re still not finding things when you need to or it’s taking you a long time to find them, you create homes for things but they look terrible or they never seem to stick, then you’d love...

Clutterbug types were kind of a game changer for me. It’s what really opened my eyes to why the systems that worked for me did not work for my partner. She is a Bee - lots of small categories that are all very visible - and I am a ladybug - big bucket categories that aren’t visible. When I reorganized our space according to the compromise between our types, Butterfly - big categories and very visible - all of a sudden the systems just worked so much better. There were many fewer fights sparked by things not getting put away or not being able to find things. So I really recommend her videos on the different types and examples of each.
Quick word of warning, she does have regular videos about diet and exercise that I personally find pretty triggering to my disordered eating habits so I’m not subscribed to her and just check her channels every now and then so it’s easier to skip over videos where that might be a topic she talks about.
Cliff Tan aka Dear Modern

Book
Cliff Tan’s work is the most recent of these resources that I’ve come across but holy shit I cannot recommend it enough.
Because my parents didn’t originally intend on my partner using the room she wound up using, there’s simply not space to keep some of the furniture and items in there anywhere else. Meaning she just kind of has to keep a fair bit of junk in there. But after watching (read: binging) the Dear Modern YouTube channel and seeing him completely change spaces by moving furniture around, I redid my partners room over the course of about 2 hours and it’s a completely different room. Way more comfortable and she’s already mentioned she’s getting much better sleep.
So I really really recommend his stuff. Sometimes what you really need isn’t new stuff but just rearranging what you already have.
If you’re pretty content with your home but want to streamline the process of caring for it...
If your home is pretty functional but regular tidying, deep cleaning, and maintenance tasks specifically keep falling through the cracks, then you might like...
FlyLady System
Website
The Secret Slob - YouTube
Diane in Denmark - YouTube
There are lots of systems out there for house keeping but I’ve yet to try or see one that seems to do better than FlyLady for me. Since with my illness my energy varies wildly, I don’t necessarily do things when her system recommends but I do them according to the priority her system ascribes to them as I’m able.
FlyLady is a notoriously convoluted website so I really recommend learning from a secondhand source. The Secret Slob and Diane in Denmark are my favorites.
Maintenance Lists
This Old House
There a lots of maintenance lists out there and honestly finding one and doing what you can is better than nothing. I personally like the ones from This Old House because they’re broken up into annual, seasonal, monthly, and some weekly tasks - which are essentially priority categories, similar to FlyLady. I’ve linked the winter one here but there are many others to pick through depending on what you want to work on.
Bonus: Paper Clutter
My System
Link
This is what I’ve arrived at after years of experimentation. It’s an amalgam of a few different ideas from different systems in one place. I keep mind on my fridge but put yours where ever you’re dumping paper anyways. If you’re in a room or live in a car/backpack - I have ideas on how to organize it for those in this post too.
Sunday Basket
YouTube Video
The Minimal Mom’s Video
She’s in Her Apron Video
Need something a little more robust? The Sunday Basket is probably be best version of a paper (and other stuff) system I’ve seen. Got something that needs dealt with? Chuck it in the Sunday Basket. The creator also has videos on long term paper storage ideas if that’s something you need as well. But her videos usually run an hour long so I recommend starting with either the Minimal Mom’s video or She’s in Her Apron’s video.
Bonus: Digital Clutter
PARA System/Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte
YouTube Channel
Website
Book
Essential Video
The branding on this system can be very productivity tech wonk which is off putting to me but when I finally started hearing what was at the core of it and applying it - my digital life was changed. I’ve linked my absolute favorite video he’s done here. Ignore the bit about it being the last in the series, most of us are already using some note app and if you like it you can always go back and watch the rest. But just applying what’s in that video to your digital systems will make things easier to find.
Hope this helps someone out there!

**********
It was just past dusk when Paige finally approached your apartment, the sky tinted with streaks of pink and amber. Her heart pounded as she took a deep breath, hands tightening around the box she’d brought with her. She hadn’t slept, barely eaten, running only on the nerves and the finality of knowing she had one last chance.
The plan had been in her mind for weeks, and she knew it had to be something real—something that showed you every piece of her that she’d hidden, the parts she’d been too scared to admit even to herself. She wanted you to see the truth, to know the depth of her regret, the aching realization that she had let go of the best thing in her life out of fear.
Paige exhaled, walked up to the door, and hesitated for a moment before knocking. She waited, hearing footsteps approach, feeling a swell of nerves that made her question if she’d be able to get through what she’d rehearsed in her mind so many times. The door opened, and there you were, the person who’d held her heart from the beginning, the person she’d hurt and missed every day since.
Your face was unreadable as you looked at Paige, and for a moment, Paige thought you might just shut the door in her face. Instead, you stood back, allowing her to step inside, though the tension was unmistakable.
Paige clutched the small box she held as she walked in, her eyes scanning the familiar apartment, the memories flooding back like an open wound. She didn’t waste a moment—she couldn’t afford to.
“I know I have no right to be here,” she started, voice already trembling, “but I had to come. I needed you to know that I’ve tried—I’ve tried everything to get over you, to move on like you have. But I can’t. I can’t do it, and I’m done pretending like I can.”
You crossed your arms, watching Paige cautiously, and though you didn’t speak, the silence felt heavy with both hurt and curiosity.
Paige took a breath, forcing herself to hold your gaze, even as memories of everything you’d gone through threatened to overwhelm her. “I was stupid,” she admitted, her voice cracking slightly. “I know I broke your heart, and I can’t make that disappear. I pushed you away because I was terrified. I was afraid of letting someone get that close to me, and I was too weak to admit it.”
Paige held up a wooden box in her hand, a small weathered thing she’d kept with her since she was a kid. She handed the small, timeworn box to you, who hesitated for a second before lifting the lid. Inside first was the bracelet, each charm gleaming softly in the low light. But there was more—a small collection of mementos, each carefully tucked away, each one a piece of your shared past.
You looked up at Paige, the surprise evident in your eyes, but you said nothing. Paige took a shaky breath and began, her voice soft.
“This box… it’s everything I couldn’t tell you back then. I know it sounds dramatic,” Paige added with a self-deprecating chuckle, “but these things—they’re us.”
You reached for the bracelet first, running your fingers over the delicate charms, each one holding a tiny piece of the past. Paige pointed to the first one, a small basketball hoop and ball.
“Remember our first night out together? You dragged me to that arcade because you said you were tired of the library, and we ended up in that little basketball game rivalry? I think we broke some record,” Paige said, laughing softly. “You were so competitive; you kept saying you’d beat me if it took all night.”
You smiled at the memory, a faint blush coloring your cheeks as you recalled the night Paige’s hand had lingered on yours a little longer than usual.
Paige’s fingers brushed the next charm, a tiny book with a title etched in tiny letters on the cover. “This one’s for all the times you helped me study when I thought I was falling behind. I was stubborn and didn’t want to admit it, but you always made things easier for me, like it was nothing. You were my support, even back then.”
Your thumb brushed over the charm, remembering long nights in the library, coffee cups and textbooks sprawled across the table, and quiet moments of closeness you’d shared.
Your eyes softened, clearly taken aback by the sentiment. You continued, running your fingers along the items until you came to another charm—a miniature guitar pick. Your eyes widened, and Paige smiled.
“That’s for the night you sang to me. You barely knew the chords, and we were both terrible, but it was one of the best nights of my life. I couldn’t believe someone would go out of their way just to make me laugh like that.”
Paige lifted out the next item—a folded paper, edges worn from months of handling. You unfolded it carefully and realized it was a movie ticket stub, faded but legible. Paige leaned in, pointing out the date.
“Our first ‘real’ date,” Paige murmured. “In my head it wasn’t a date, that it was just two friends hanging out, but… we still held hands in the theater. That night, I wanted nothing more than for it to be something real.”
She hesitated, her gaze lingering on your expression as you held the memory in your hands. “I kept that ticket because, to me, it was more than just a movie. It was the first time I let myself hope that you might feel the same way I did.”
Your fingers next settled on a slightly worn polaroid, tucked near the bottom as if it were something precious yet private, the edges worn and faded. You held it up, and your breath caught. In the photo, you were leaning against a sunlit window, totally unaware of the camera. You looked peaceful, lost in thought as you gazed out into the distance, a small, gentle smile on your lips.
Paige watched your reaction closely, a hint of nervousness in her eyes. “I took that without you knowing,” she admitted softly. “It was the day you helped me through that horrible week last year—the one where I thought I’d never get back on the court.”
Paige’s voice dropped to a murmur, almost as if she were speaking to herself. “I looked over and saw you there, just… being yourself, and I remember feeling this… ache. This sense that I wanted you to be in my life like that, always.” She paused, swallowing against the vulnerability. “That was the moment I knew. That’s why I kept it—because it was the first time I realized I didn’t just want you around. I needed you.”
You glanced down at the photo again, a new understanding dawning in your gaze, and as Paige looked at you, it was clear the sentiment behind that quiet, candid shot ran deep. It was more than a photo; it was a realization captured in a fleeting moment, one Paige hadn’t been able to let go of since.
You were quiet, lost in the memory. As you continued to sift through the box, your fingers brushed against something familiar and soft. You pulled out your favorite book, its cover worn and well-loved, the pages dog-eared and creased from countless readings. It was the one you had often discussed late into the night, the one that had sparked debates, laughter, and even some heated arguments.
But what made this book truly special was the array of handwritten notes that filled its margins. You opened it gingerly, your breath catching in your throat as you realized what it was. Paige had annotated the entire book.
“Every time you’d talk about this book, I could see how much it meant to you,” Paige’s voice broke through your reverie, and you glanced up to see her looking a little sheepish. “I thought if I made notes in it, I could keep a piece of you with me.”
You flipped through the pages, each one adorned with Paige’s messy handwriting. In one corner, you found a note next to a particularly poignant quote about love: “This reminds me of that time we talked about our fears under the stars. You made me feel so understood.”
On another page, a line about friendship had a note that read: “This is so us! I love how we can be completely brainless together. Remember that karaoke night?” A small doodle of a microphone accompanied the text, and you couldn’t help but smile.
“I used to flip through this book whenever I missed you,” Paige confessed, her voice laced with vulnerability. “It was the only way I could relive those moments we shared, even when we were apart.”
You felt a wave of emotion wash over you as you continued to read, finding more notes that made your heart swell. There was one where Paige had circled a passage about overcoming obstacles with determination: “You always fight for what you believe in. I admire that so much about you.”
“I can’t believe you did this,” you said, your voice shaky with emotion. “I never knew you felt this way.”
“I just wanted you to know that even when we were fighting or I messed things up, you were always on my mind. This book was a way to connect with you when I felt like I’d lost you,” Paige admitted, her eyes sincere and searching.
You hugged the book to your chest, tears pooling in your eyes. The annotations were more than just words—they were a testament to your shared history, a way for Paige to express her love and longing. This book wasn’t just a collection of stories; it was a chronicle of your relationship, filled with laughter, pain, and an undeniable bond that refused to be broken.
You reached for the last item in the box, a small key tied to a thin, worn ribbon. Your eyes darted up to Paige, a question clear in your expression.
“That’s…” Paige took a deep breath, almost reluctant to explain. “It’s the key to my old place. I had a spare made for you, even though I never worked up the nerve to give it to you. I wanted you to have a place to go, something that felt like yours, too. I know it’s silly, but I wanted you to feel… safe with me. Like you always had somewhere you’d belong.”
You closed your hand over the key, your fingers trembling slightly as you took it all in. Paige reached out, her hand brushing against yours. Her voice was almost a whisper.
“This key was supposed to be yours,” Paige said, her voice soft. “I got it because I wanted to share everything with you, every part of me, but I couldn’t even do that. I never gave it to you because I wasn’t brave enough to show you how much you meant to me.”
You looked down at the open box, the memories spread before you, each item carrying times of love, hurt, and unspoken words. You closed your eyes for a moment, your thumb brushing over the key once more, and then you looked up at Paige, the faintest hint of hope flickering in her gaze.
“These are all the pieces of us, all the things I should have told you when I had the chance. I know I messed up. I know I hurt you, and I can’t undo that. But I’m here, laying it all out, hoping it’s not too late.”
Paige swallowed, continuing. “I know I can’t fix the past, and I know I hurt you more than I can ever apologize for. But I need you to know that I am so, so sorry. And that… I love you. I love you, and I’ve loved you since the first day we met. I was just too scared to believe it.”
You stood there in silence, your face unreadable as you looked from the box to Paige. The weight of the words Paige had just confessed lingered in the air, thick and fragile. Paige could feel the tension in every muscle as she waited, holding her breath as she awaited any reaction—anger, relief, forgiveness—anything that would give her a glimpse into what you were feeling.
Finally, your expression shifted, softening just slightly as you took a deep breath. “You hurt me,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper, as if admitting it aloud was a wound reopening.
Paige nodded, her eyes misting. “I know. I know, and I can’t tell you how much I hate myself for that. I should have been brave enough to tell you the truth back then, but I was too caught up in my own fears. I know I don’t deserve forgiveness,” Paige murmured, her voice raw, “but I’m here, trying to make it right. I’m here because losing you was the biggest mistake of my life. I can’t change the past, but if you’d let me… I want to spend my future trying to make up for it.”
Your gaze softened, and Paige could see the hurt mingling with the smallest glint of something else—hope, maybe. She wanted to believe it, to believe that maybe, despite everything, there was still a chance.
You reached out, hesitantly, and took the bracelet from the box, your fingers brushing Paige’s hand. You looked down at it, running your thumb over the charms, each one representing a memory, a moment Paige had never been brave enough to share.
The silence hung between you, but this time, it wasn’t empty—it was charged with possibility, with the faintest glimmer of hope.
Your fingers traced over each item in the box, your eyes misty as you looked up at Paige. “I… I don’t know what to say. This is… everything, Paige. You kept all these memories, every little piece of us.” You let out a shaky breath, brushing your hand over the polaroid before glancing back up. “Thank you for holding on to this when I couldn’t.”
Paige’s eyes softened, and she took a small step closer. “I didn’t want to forget, even when it hurt. Every memory… it kept me hoping that maybe one day, I’d have the chance to show you how much it all meant to me.”
You smiled, your voice barely above a whisper. “It means more than you know. I just… I can’t believe you went through all this trouble. You kept every little part of us safe.”
Paige reached for your hand, squeezing it gently. “Because I never stopped believing we could find our way back.”
There was a long pause, the tension between them shifting as you searched Paige’s face, as if weighing every word. And then, finally, you let out a sigh, a tiny, hopeful smile gracing your lips.
You looked down at your intertwined hands, your fingers gently tracing over Paige's knuckles, gathering the courage to say what you’d been holding back for so long. Your voice was soft, almost trembling. “Paige, I tried to move on… tried so hard to forget. But I couldn’t. Because no matter what I did, I couldn’t stop… loving you.”
Paige’s breath hitched, her eyes searching your face, raw and hopeful.
“I love you, Paige,” you said, your voice soft but steady, tears clouding your vision. “I want nothing more than to be with you.”
Paige pulled you close, wrapping her arms around you like she was afraid to let go. “I love you too. I always have.”
You stayed like that, wrapped up in each other’s arms, each heartbeat a quiet promise that this time, things would be different. The world outside faded away, leaving only the warmth between you, the quiet understanding that you had both fought for this—weathered the pain and confusion, the heartbreak and anger.
After a long moment, Paige pulled back just enough to look into your eyes. “This time, I’m not letting go,” she whispered, a quiet vow.
You smiled, reaching up to touch Paige’s face gently. “Then don’t,” you replied, a spark of warmth and trust returning to your voice. “We’ll figure it out, one step at a time.”
Paige’s hand closed around yours, pulling you close as she leaned in, your faces just inches apart. She took a breath, then, without hesitation, closed the distance between you, her lips capturing yours in a gentle, lingering kiss. There was a softness to it, a tenderness that spoke of everything unspoken—the longing, the pain, the hope you’d both carried. And as you stayed there, wrapped in each other, that one kiss said it all: this was your new beginning, the promise of something you had both fought so hard to reach, something worth every difficult moment you’d overcome.
In that stillness, where love outweighed all your past hurts, you’d finally found your way back to each other.

Tumblr media
Your 2 vintage suitcases, bursting at the seams, fell to the sidewalk with a thud as you stood in front of your new home for the summer. It was an older house with light blue paneling on the sides, an expansive green lawn, and a wrap-around porch, all surrounded by a classic white picket fence.
Bolting out the front door was the most eager old woman you’d ever seen. Your sweet, sweet grandma. She wrapped you in the biggest embrace and the smell of old Chanel perfume and Jergens lotion overwhelmed your senses. The old woman continued crying out your name pestering you with 1,000 kisses. You erupted in a giggle, expressing the same sentiments of love.
The reason for your stay was less heartwarming. After you had wrapped up your first year at university, your overbearing and uber religious parents caught wind of some of the stuff you were up to while there. In their words, you were “impulsive”, “wreckless”, and “just plain stupid”. But in all actuality, you had just smoked some weed, got wasted, and hooked up with some girls.
Nothing too crazy considering it was your first year of freedom, but of course they flipped and decided banishing you to your grandparents for the summer would be best. And although you were less than ecstatic about them being angry with you, the resulting consequence left you anticipating the perfect summer. I mean come on… a gorgeous old house, right by the beach, home cooked meals, and no one to bother you. How could you not get excited?
✄ - - - -   ♡   - - - -
Soon, you find yourself strolling along hot sidewalks of the small beach town, wandering into every little place that piques your interest. The first was an antique mall. You ventured through the heaps of knick knacks, furniture, and clothes, finally landing on the sweetest tea cup. It was delicate ivory with a thinly curved handle. Painted on the front; a pair of kittens adorned in pink ribbon. You then stumbled into a 50’s themed sweets shop where you purchased a single cherry flavored lollipop which landed in your mouth as soon as you walked out the door. And finally, you came across a quaint bookshop that was practically begging for you to come inside.
Pushing the old wooden door open you entered, followed by a small melodic bell announcing the new presence. This caught a young individual's attention. Revealing her collection of freckles and short auburn hair, the girl looked up from behind the mahogany counter to greet you. The employee's smile was adorably toothy and the evening sun leaking through the windows made her practically glow. Your eyes remained locked on the girl's face for a little longer than you’d like but it was worth every second.
Candy in hand, you toured the towering shelves of tattered books and baskets of old magazines, not really knowing what you were looking for. And still considerably distracted by the dreamy woman manning the front desk. That is until a loud creak of the floorboards stole you from your reverie and left you face to face with the culprit of these thoughts.
“Hi- uh, did you need help finding anything today?” she questioned, giving you a slow look up and down.
“Hmm I’m not sure yet,” you took a long pause to regain a little sense of decorum, “Got any recommendations for me Ellie?” Her eyes went wide in confusion before you gestured to the silver plate pinned to her shirt, pointing out the obvious. “Your nametag hun.”
“Oh, right” she looked down sheepishly at the pet name, “Ummm let me think…” Her voice trailed off again and you popped the sticky, red lollipop back in your mouth to fidget with as she took a beat to think. After compiling a few books in her mind Ellie opened her mouth to speak but god was it hard. Your intent sucking had her in a trance.
“I think you-you’d probably- like…” Ellie wanted to keep talking, she really did, but your plump lips engulfing the red little ball was extremely distracting. She watched as your spit pooled at the upturned corners of your mouth and coated the hard candy. Every thought she had left her except what her lips would look like wrapped around something else. You took note as her pupils slowly dilated at the simple action and decided to have some fun with the awkward girl who you’d obviously left in a trance.
“Did you want a taste?” Ellie took some hard blinks in disbelief and some reproach, not realizing how conspicuous her stares must have been.
“Uh- like of your…” She pointed and you hummed in confirmation, holding the thin white stick at its base, hovering the candy just inches from her mouth.
“Come onnn, I don’t bite… not unless you want me to.” Ellie’s quick and hot breaths of anticipation tickled the little hairs on your knuckles and you knew exactly what you were doing to her. Eventually she dove into your sweet offer. First with a flat tongue, then her whole mouth closing in on it. The crimson disappeared into her cavity and you twisted at the stick connected, sending an odd sensation across Ellie’s tongue. You quickly snatched it back out and plumpted it back in between your own red stained lips, leaving the girl a flustered mess.
“So what about that book?” you inquired, voice laced with a preformative innocence.
She shook her head to focus, “Uh- right, how about The Bell Jar? Sylvia Plath?”
“That’s actually perfect. It’s been on my list for months now. Which shelf?”
“If you want… I uh, actually have a copy that you can borrow for free.”
“Actually yeah, I’d love that. Thank you.” You gave Ellie a warm smile that sent millions of butterflies through the pits of her stomach, and honestly yours too. She then disappeared to the back with a flash of her green eyes before returning holding a small book bursting with colored tabs.
“Here- I like to annotate,” she chuckled bashfully, “I hope you don’t mind.”
“Even better.” Ellie blushed at every word you spoke, sending a nervous hand back to scratch at her neck. “Well, thank you for this. I do have to get home but um- I promise to return it as soon as I’m done.” You shook your clasped hands at her like a praise and departed leaving nothing but a trace of your luscious perfume.
Ellie remained awestruck, replaying that whole scenario back again and saving it for later. Selfishly she wished for you to finish the book in just one night. She couldn't help but miss your pretty face already. And after being the only thing on her mind for the rest of the night, she wasn’t sure how long she could wait to see you again.
✄ - - - -   ♡   - - - -
That evening after Ellie’s shift she retreated to her bedroom with plans to remove you from her thoughts. Controller in hand, she maneuvered through some first person shooter game but lost every round due to her lack of focus. This was frustrating and she went to light some incense hoping to clear her head with a different approach. The brown, bergamot scented stick caught fire before cherrying at the end leaving a trail of smoke behind. Ellie followed it with her eye’s, gaze passing by her window and quickly retreating back as she spotted something out of the ordinary.
The neighbor's familiar window positioned right across from her own was usually shrouded in curtains, hiding the empty bedroom. But today she could see right in, and even better, there was someone just behind the glass. She inched in closer to get a better look and watched as the girl lay on her bed, ass up, feet kicking in the air. Ellie assumed she was talking on the phone from observing her bouts of giggles, but it was hard to tell. Even harder to decipher was who this mystery woman was. Every little mannerism felt oddly familiar and it was driving Ellie crazy. Could you just get off the phone already and turn around?
Yes, you. Who eventually wrapped up the call with your best friend where you had spent 30 minutes gushing about the 5 minute interaction you had with Elllie. “I just have to have her!” you raved through the telephone line, “in fact, I neeeddd her!!”
Night had completely fallen at this point and as so you rolled out of your lying position and peeled off your shirt to change into pjs. You did it right in front of the window too, unknowingly giving Ellie a show.
Next door, the girl's jaw was slack and bottom lip red from her harsh bite. Ellie stared lustfully at your soft seeming skin and gorgeous curves. After getting a better glimpse of your face she knew exactly who you were. And once your top started coming off there was no chance she was looking away now. That is… until she got caught.
As soon as you saw a flash of freckles across the way you dashed to the window almost getting a rug burn from the maneuver. With tits out, (well in a sheer lace bra, so practically out) you slide open the white trimmed aperture and give Ellie the most eager wave, shouting her name along with it. The girl could barely pull herself together as she hesitantly opened up her own window. Was Ellie about to get exiled for being a perv or were you feeling forgiving tonight?
“Ellie?! What the fuck?? Didn’t think I’d be seeing you so soon!!” You shouted with excitement like a child on Christmas.
“Hi-” she halted her greeting, “wait, I don’t even know your name.”
“Oh, it’s ____”
“S’pretty name… I’m glad to see you again.”
“Oh I bet you are. Saw you watching me change Els.” Really you didn’t mind, but something about teasing her got you off.
“Fuck- no, no. I- I wasn’t trying to, just was getting a better look to see if it was actually you. Please don’t be mad, I really am sorry!” You had left her a stuttering mess.
“No need to say sorry,” with a bat of your eyelashes you eased her worries, “you liked what you saw… right?”
The girl squirmed, “Uhh…”
“It’s okay, you can say yes Ellie.” And she quickly did, making the cockiest smirk grow on your face. But, you weren’t an easy girl and you planned to tantalize Ellie with subtle passes until the both of you could hardly resist. So you quickly retreated, wishing Ellie a good night before sealing the window and swiping the curtains shut.
The girl was left a hot mess after it all but trust and believe she had a good night. One with her hands between her thighs and your newly learned name falling from her lips.

The next morning you catch the emerald-eyed girl outside mowing her lawn and take this as the perfect opportunity to play some more mind games.
Slipping into the skimpiest bikini you could find, you scampered into the front yard “to tan”. The green lawn tickled the bottoms of your bare feet before you laid out a red and white striped towel to lounge on. Stomach down, facing towards Ellie, the sun beamed on the expanse of your back. Heart shaped sunglasses hugged your face and shielded your eyes as you admired the pretty girl.
She was dressed in some long cut-off jorts and a black wifebeater tank. A newly lit cigarette hung from her mouth carelessly. You loved the way her pec would flex with each push and pull of the mower. Lines of sweat racing down her arms and neck, illuminating every small vein. And god, when she tilted her head up to exhale a puff of smoke, it drove you wild.
Your presence had not gone unnoticed though and neither had your cherry printed swim bottoms that were riding up your cheeks. Ellie continued mowing the lawn but was essentially butchering it, too busy staring at you out of her peripherals. She continued passing over the same barren spots of grass over and over, trying to get a better look of the angel laying just on the other side of the fence.
She’d pause mid push every time you’d reposition yourself just so she could see the little recoil of fat that was your plush thighs and heart shaped ass. Her cigarette had yet to leave her mouth after the first few exhales and your prompt arrival. A long build up of ash was begging to slip off the end and at this point she was just mowing little nubs. The yard was a patchy mess and so was she. This mess escalated as soon as she saw you marching to the edge of the fence straight towards her.
Approaching Ellie you planted your elbows on two white posts that stopped at your torso. You shouted out to the sweaty girl, waving her in your direction and she immediately scurried over like an obedient puppy.
“Whatcha smoking?” you questioned, causing Ellie to remember the all-ash cigarette, now between her fingers, being rid of its debris.
“Shit, I’m sorry- do you not like the smoke? I can stop, seriously.” She put out the remaining butt frantically in attempts at atonement.
“Lighten up Els, I don’t care if you smoke. I was just gonna ask to bum one off of you, but I only smoke Marlboros. That menthol shit gives me a headache.” She softened in relief, already pulling out a fresh one just for you.
“That’s crazy, I’m the same exact way. Here, it’s all yours” Ellie attempts to put the cigarette in your hand but you part your lips instead, requesting a different placement. She happily fulfills your request and follows with a silver, square shaped lighter. The flame catches at the end as you take a big inhale, blowing it to the side.
“Thanks, you have no idea how much I needed that. I’ve been cold turkey over here at Grams. Couldn’t even sneak a smoke from her either, she swears by Newports. Truly disgusting if you ask me.” You rolled your eyes, rambling on about your stay and Ellie just listened. She tried piecing together your story from the little tidbits you mentioned but still struggled to understand how you ended up here.
“So you’re just staying with your grandparents for the summer?”
“Yeah pretty much.” you answered nonchalantly.
“How come though? I’ve never seen you here until now. Trust me, I would’ve noticed a pretty girl like you.” she blushed.
“Oh yeah? You think I’m pretty?” you taunted, completely ignoring the question at hand. You weren’t sure how ready you were to spill those beans yet. Ellie gave off such an awkward loser vibe that left you questioning how much of you the girl could really handle. I mean, it seemed like you were already too much for your own parents and beginning to piss off the elders too. And speak of the devil, they arrived home just in time to steal you from Ellie’s company.
“Babygirl, what are you doing bothering the neighbors?” your grandma called out, making you turn all hot and embarrassed in front of Ellie. Up until now you had managed to keep up the perfect cool girl vibe. The thought that Ellie might not be enjoying this as much as you perceived had never even crossed your mind. But now that it had, your confidence was knocked down a notch.
“Grams-” You turned to excuse her politely but were cut off before you even got the chance.
“Is that a cigarette young lady?”
“Umm.. yes…” you hesitated before swiftly putting it out on one of the wooden posts.
“Now where did you get a thing like that?” she prodded, arms crossed. Your eyes glanced over to Ellie but you decided to lie, knowing how your grandparents would react. You’d rather get into trouble than risk losing access to your new favorite girl.
“I swear it was just rolling around in one of the dresser drawers upstairs. I shouldn’t have taken it, but I did and I’m really really sorry. Please can we not mention this?”
The old woman took a beat to consider your request, “Fine. But hand it over, I need a smoke, the ladies over at bingo this morning were driving me absolutely crazy.” You passed over the cigarette and thanked her and the heavens for sparing you. If your parents found out about any more wrong doings, you knew you’d be done for good, and deep down you believed that Grams had recognized the same threat.
Just over the fence, Ellie had witnessed the whole thing and was left even more intrigued. All this over a cigarette? Mention what to who? But just as she was exiled out of the conversation, Ellie was quickly brought back in.
“So hun, you seem pretty handy if I’m not mistaken.”
“Uh, yes ma’am I guess I am.” Ellie fidgeted, not sure where this conversation was going. Hoping not to get scorned by the wrath you had brought on from the whole cigarette debacle.
“Well, we’ve got a couple of loose fence posts around the perimeter. I’ve been pleading with my husband to get it done but the old fart can hardly handle walking the block, let alone hard manual labor. You think you could help us out? I’ll give ya 50 bucks for it.” Ellie looked at your grandma, then you, and back to Grams again.
“Sure, but I don’t need your money. I’ll happily do it free of charge.”
“Well mighty me, thank you very much!” your grandma elated, nudging at you to give thanks as well. You smiled at the girl and then mouthed a little sorry, feeling bad for wrapping her up in all of this. She waved you off, not thinking twice about her choice to help out. Anything to get closer to you, right?

That evening you stood in the kitchen, occasionally grabbing out a bowl or passing over an ingredient as your grandma fixed dinner. You sipped from a tall, clear glass of lemonade and looked through the window hoping to catch a glimpse of Ellie in action.
Noticing your staring, Grams spoke up, “Why don’t you go bring the girl some lemonade to cool off, yeah? In fact, go on ahead and invite her to dinner since she refuses to be paid. Got to say thank you somehow.” Your heart skipped a beat imagining the beautiful girl sat at the dining table.
It was almost scary, every interaction you’d had so far was just casual flirts in passing. This would be the real deal and on top of it, your grandparents would be right there with you. Very, very scary. But there was no arguing this one, so out you went with an endearing proposal and a freshly poured glass of lemonade, all for Ellie.
“Here, I got this for you. It’s homemade.” You ushered the cup forwards to sweaty Ellie and she gratefully accepted with a thank you. You then awkwardly popped the question.
“Sooo… my grandparents want me to invite you over for dinner. As a thank you.” Ellie looked up from her work again trying to read your tone.
“Do you want me over for dinner?”
“Yeah, yeah of course I do. It’s just, you know how it is with family.” You kicked at some dirt that was loosened by the yard work, voiding Ellie’s gaze. It’s not like you didn’t want to see her but how could you trust your grandparents to keep up the mystery. Flirting felt so easy when all the vulnerable parts of yourself had yet to surface.
“I don’t have to come if you don’t want me to. I’d hate to cause any problems.” You quickly backpedaled, afraid she might take your words the wrong way.
“No, no, not at all. Please. Come. I want you there.”
“Okay, then I will be. Let me finish up out here, take a quick shower, and I’ll be over.”
✄ - - - -   ♡   - - - -
Ellie had taken 30 minutes to come back, making it just in time. 20 of those minutes were spent just rummaging through clothes and messing with her hair, too nervous to think about punctuality. She wanted to look good for you, and even more she wanted to impress your family.
At Ellie’s arrival you opened the door dressed in the shortest little sundress. The pale yellow complimented your skin just perfectly and Ellie wanted to tell you so bad but nerves got the best of her. All she could do was smile and turn 5 different shades of red, matching the rust colored Dickie’s and loose button up shirt that adorned her figure.
“Well, well, well… don’t you clean up nice?” You poked at Ellie’s right arm and she humored you with a shy laugh before putting her head down to shield from embarrassment. Ellie had always been somewhat of a loser but never had she ever met a girl that could leave her this much of a mess with just a few words.
You then led her into the dining room, both of you taking a seat across from Gram and Gramps at the other end of the table.
“We’re so happy we could have you over for supper Ellie. I know we don’t mingle much but your father and you have always been such good neighbors.” Your grandpa gushed as Grams nodded along but there was a slight lull before Ellie actually responded. Maybe the mention of her dad? You weren’t sure.
“Well, thank you for having me. It’s always nice to have some company around here.” There was something regretful in her eyes as she said it but the conversation quickly progressed past the moment, leaving you curious for the rest of the night.
“So how’s school been going for you?” the pair asked.
“It’s been really good. Going into my second year actually.” Ellie answered, putting it simply as she knew this was all formalities and small talk. Even you were beginning to get a little bored with the dry conversation. So you decided to spice things up for the both of you, sliding off your strappy sandals to see how far you could take a game of footsies.
“Oh wow! ____ is too! What’s your major?” Gramps continued. Your bare foot slid over to Ellie’s beat up sneakers waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.
“I’m an en-” Her voice cut out as you creeped up the edge of her pants, rubbing on her exposed ankle. She coughed trying to recover, “I’m an engineering major.” You had to bite the inside of your cheek to not let out an audible laugh.
“How wonderful!” Grams enthused, blissfully unaware. Having too much fun, you then slid your hand a chair over to drag down Ellie’s thigh and felt as she tensed up.
The conversation continued at a steady pace and you removed your hand, not wanting to take things too far. Unexpectedly Ellie grabbed it, moving your limb back to its place and keeping her own hand rested on top. A big move considering just minutes ago she couldn’t even muster up the courage to compliment your dress.
You took this as permission to proceed and a simple resting hand turned to a grabby one, gripping at her inner thigh. Teasing the girl to incomparable lengths. She eventually followed in suit, slipping a few fingers under the hem of your dress just slightly before shying away at the dinner's conclusion. And even with such little touch, you were still absolutely soaking.
If only your grandparents knew what was going on under the table.

Swan Sisters (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Part 1
Jasper Whitlock x Reader + Bella Swan and Sister! Reader
Summary: An addition to the sister!reader series, where you are Bella's sister and a vampire, not that she knows. Yet. When the car accident happens, you find yourself lost in a mix of concern, lies, and familial arguments. Can you keep Bella quiet when Edward can't?
Word Count: 3645
Warnings: No? Hospitals? Sisters kind of arguing? My midnight editing attempts. Movie-based not book-based (though it hurts my soul)
Note: This one is a lot more Bella / sister!reader focused. Also, I'm realizing this will take many parts because there's so many bits I want to write from this point of view. There will likely be two more parts (at least).
@twilightlover2007 - here's part 2 <3
---
The second you hear about the car accident, everything stops.
Jasper watches you wearily from your bedroom window. He can feel the emotions pouring off of you. Concern. Dread. Fear. Each carrying the force of a violent tidal wave. But you don’t move an inch. You’re frozen in time, like a picturesque statue of pure marble. Despair captured in beauty.
“Is she okay?” You squeak as the shock slowly wears off.
“Yes…” Jasper hesitates, quietly adding, “Edward saved her.”
Edward? He saved her?
“Was he close to her when it happened?”
“...No.”
Alarm bells start ringing, flashing red lights and all. You search Jasper’s eyes, finding your panic reflected in their gold depths. No.
“So he-?”
“Yes.”
“And he-?”
A sharp nod.
Oh dear God.
“We need to go,” you declare, swiping your purse from your bed.
“I can’t.”
“Sure you can!” You flip back to him, but freeze at the stricken look on his face.
Shame simmers under his pained expression, his eyes clouded with so much self-doubt, you wish you could just take it all away. You didn’t mean to spark that, you didn’t think about what hospitals could mean. Wounded humans. Blood. It’s too dangerous for him to go, you should have known that.
Overwhelmed with tenderness for the blond, and a touch of guilt, you drop into the windowsill next to him.
“Sorry,” you murmur, voice soft.
You just feel so…so messy. Drawn so taut you could break. Concern filling every cell in your dead body. It wasn’t even like you said anything to hurt him, he knows that, you know that, but it still feels like you made him feel like that.
Jasper, so fully in sync with your emotions, your thoughts, gently brushes his fingers against yours before intertwining them. The gesture is so simple, so reassuring and firm, you can’t stop the shuddering breath from escaping you as you collapse into his side. His arm wraps around you tightly, as if he can hold together all your cracking pieces.
“Sorry,” you bleat again, “I just- I’m just worried, you know? We’ve finally started spending time together, and if she figures out what we are, or worse, something happens, we’ll have to leave. I’m…I’m not ready for that yet. I didn’t mean to speak carelessly.”
“It’s okay, darlin’, I understand.” Jasper’s lips brush against your forehead, his voice low and smooth, lulling your storm back to calm waters. You curl even further into his touch, humming softly. “Why don’t you go check on her, and I’ll find Alice? She might’ve seen somethin’ about all this.”
“Thanks, Jas.” Your voice is muffled by his sweater, but the blond still hears it, and you can feel a flush of love from him, his power.
“You’re welcome, darlin’. Always.”
It’s difficult to extract yourself from the embrace. Being around Jasper when he’s in a good mood is too addictive, since his emotions usually pour over onto you, even when he doesn’t mean to. His love is like warmth, the kind that starts in your chest and spreads to every inch of your body. It’s the closest you get to feeling alive again.
But you do manage to tear yourself away eventually. Jasper, sensing your reluctance, gives you one of those slanted, teasing grins, “Can’t get enough of me, can you, darlin’?”
“Oh shush.” You scrunch your nose at him, feeling much light as you swing your legs over the windowsill. “Don’t make me regret this whole ‘forever’ thing.”
His eyes practically sparkle with mirth. “I wouldn’t think of it, ma’am.”
You roll your eyes, “Go find Alice, you dummy. I need to go give Edward a serious scolding.”
“Don’t be too hard on him.”
“I know, I know.” You wave a hand dismissively. “I can’t be too mad at him. I just want to screw with him a bit, you know?”
“My mate,” Jasper hums, shaking his head amusedly.
“Count yourself lucky.”
You duck forward, pressing a brief kiss to his lips before pushing off from the window. It’s a rainy day, the clouds thick and dark like usual, the smell of wet bark and dirt swirling through the air. The familiarity of it all eases the last of your stubborn nerves. When you spin back around, Jasper is right behind you, catching you around the waist and pulling you in for another kiss.
“I count myself very lucky,” the vampire purrs, your noses brushing, “every day, darlin’.”
“Good, that makes the both of us.” Though you are definitely more lucky. You’ll never understand how you ended up with someone as amazing as Jasper. “Now, go talk to Alice.”
“Be careful at the hospital.”
“Will do, Major.”
You bite back a grin when Jasper shoots you a narrowed look. Before he can get another word out though, you give him a little wink and take off through the woods.
His low laughter echoes behind you, fading into the hum of the forest.
---
You definitely shouldn’t be here, you think to yourself as you step into the hospital. The smell of blood hits you like a bruising punch to the gut, so hard that you stumble, clutching at the nearest wall for support. You can hear the pulsing heartbeat of each person in the room, the sound of blood rushing through their veins. A siren song. Taunting. Tempting. Your lips part, the smell so thick you can practically taste the warmth on your tongue.
Would their blood taste different because they're sick?
The thought makes you pale. Disgusting. You’re disgusting. You clench your jaw, bones aching as you force yourself to be still, force your lungs to still.
“Are you okay, (Y/n)?”
Blink. Smile. Be human.
You turn to the nurse at the desk, a girl you recognize as one of your seniors from high school. Merissa? You think that’s her name. She’s looking at you with concern-steepled eyebrows, dark eyes wide.
“Hi! Yah, I’m fine,” you bite out through gritted teeth. “I’m here to see Bella? She got into a car accident.”
“Oh sure! She’s in our general treatment room, your dad just got here too.” She points to one of the sets of doors, “Right through there, I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding her.”
“Thanks!”
And thanks to her interruption, you have a little bit more control over your roving instincts, at least enough to make going into the back less intimidating. When you find your family (due to Charlie’s growling at the poor boy you can only assume was the driver in the accident), Carlisle is already taking a look at Bella.
Thank the heavens for Carlisle. The man is an absolute saint and you’ll never understand how he can spend the whole day here.
“How is she?” You appear at Charlie’s side, making both him and Bella jump.
“Where on Earth did you come from?” Charlie barks, a hand over his heart.
“Jasper told me what happened so I rushed over,” you explain quickly, turning to your sister, “He said it was a crazy accident. The truck just barely missed you? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Bella groans. She’s probably said that a million times by now, but it’s good to hear it from her. It’s even better to see her with your own eyes. No bruises. No blood. She is fine. Lucky for you. “It could have been a lot worse if Edward wasn’t there.”
“Edward? Your boy?” Charlie glances at Carlisle.
The older vampire looks your way, lips pulling into a thin line. A slight nod of your head, almost imperceptible, tells him that you know what happened. Bella just barely catches it.
“It’s kind of amazing he got to me so fast,” she adds on, eyes narrowed, flicking between the two of you. “He was nowhere near me.”
She must already be suspicious. Which means you have to convince her she’s wrong. Which means you need to lie. Again.
“Did you hit your head, Bells?” You plop onto the bed next to her, feigning concern to the best of your abilities. You have to resist the urge to flinch when she glares at you.
“She did,” Carlisle inputs, and Bella shifts her glare to the doctor, though he remains unphased, “No concussion, thankfully, but this kind of incident can have repercussions on the mind, so you’ll want to keep an eye on her. Now, I’m sorry to run, but I have another patient to attend to.” He gives Charlie one of his award winning smiles and steps over to the other boy.
“I’m not a kid,” Bella all but snaps, her jaw clenching so hard you can practically hear her teeth grinding, “I’d appreciate it if everyone stopped treating me like one.”
“Hey, you’re still my kid,” Charlie retorts, “If Doctor Cullen says we need to be careful, then we will. No arguments.”
Bella just huffs, obviously not happy with the outcome of the discussion. You squeeze her shoulder, but she just shuffles off the bed, barely casting you a glance. Frowning softly, you follow them back towards the front of the hospital.
“Bells,” you start.
She doesn’t let you get far, “I know what I saw. You may not believe me, but I do.”
“It’s not that I don’t believe you-”
“Then why’d you brush me aside like that?” She flips back around to you, stopping dead in the middle of the hall. You do flinch this time. The look on her face, a mix between disappointment and frustration, buried beneath a fine layer of suspicion, sends another stab of guilt through you.
Charlie glances between the two of you, shuffling awkwardly off to the side. He looks seconds away from fleeing, and you cast him pleading glance, silently begging him to stay. Facing a cougar alone? Easy. Facing Bella’s fury on your own? Down right terrifying.
“I’m gonna go sign some paperwork,” he coughs, and you gape at him as he dashes down the hall.
Coward!
“I thought you were supposed to have my back?”
Don’t say that.
“I do, Bells, but you sounded crazy back there.” Each word feels like a burning coal in your mouth.
“Crazy?”
“I mean, yah.” You shrug meekly. “You make it sound like he teleported or something to get to you. It’s a bit far-fetched, you know?”
Bella purses her lips. For just a short moment, doubt clouds her expression. It gives you an inkling of hope, that maybe this can all end well. Maybe she’ll let it go and everything will just go back to normal and you can kick Edward’s butt for being so careless then thank him for saving her. Maybe-
But then her eyes fall on something, someone, behind you, and her brows set into that stubborn line all over again and your hope deflates.
“I’ll be right back. He can clear this all up.” You can't get a word in before she takes off down the hall behind you.
You spin, resisting the urge to groan when your eyes fall on Edward. He’s standing with Carlisle and Rosalie, the vampires murmuring tensely amongst themselves.
If only you’d had a few more minutes.
‘Angry human, incoming.’ You project your thoughts loud and clear.
Edward looks your ways, eyes blowing wide as he catches sight of Bella walking towards them. For a split millisecond, you can read the panic in his expression, just before the facade of composure comes crashing down. Carlisle and Rosalie seemingly disappear as Bella reaches him.
‘Good luck, Ed. You’ll need it.’
If people could sweatdrop, you’re sure you’d be seeing the emote on the vampire right now. Bella isn’t pissed, not yet at least, but one misstep and she could certainly be there. You can only imagine how Edward feels handling this. Probably like a fish out of water, since he can’t hear her thoughts. Serves him right for his impeccable timing.
You prop yourself against the wall, focusing in on their hushed conversation. You hate using your powers for this, to listen in on something that should be private, with your sister no less, but right here, right now, you just can’t afford to give her that. This involves all of you.
“How did you get over to me so fast?” Bella asks, voice much softer than when she was talking to you.
“I was standing right next to you, Bella,” Edward corrects with an easygoing smile.
That won’t work.
“You were standing next to your car, across the lot,” Bella argues.
“No, I wasn’t.”
“Yes. You were.”
You smile bemusedly. They’re already like an old, married couple.
Edward glares at you over Bella’s shoulder. You glance away, pretending to watch the nurses walking around.
“You hit your head, I think you’re confused.”
“I know what I saw.”
There’s no more uncertainty in her voice.
A heavy sensation settles in your chest.
“You’re not going to let it go, are you?”
“No.”
“Well, I hope you enjoy disappointment.”
---
“Is there anything else you need?” You flutter around the room, grabbing extra blankets, pillows, making sure everything is in reach. Since Charlie had to go back to the department, it up to you to get her settled in before going to find the Cullens.
“I’m fine, (Y/n),” Bella sighs, standing in the doorway with crossed arms. “I don’t understand why I couldn’t just go back to school but Edward could.”
“Perks of having your dad as the doctor,” you chirp with a wry smile.
Bella just rolls her eyes. Stubborn girl. Only she would have a near death experience and then insist on going back to school. Most kids would jump at the chance to have the day off! You know you would.
“Anyways, I got you some water, and aspirin for if your head starts hurting - tell me if it does okay? And I can whip you up some food if you want, or order in, whatever you-”
“(Y/n).”
You cringe, stopping in the middle of fluffing one of the many pillows you brought in. Slowly, the slowest you’ve moved in a long time, you turn to glance at her over your shoulder. And the sight makes your stomach churn, a fresh wave of guilt pouring over you.
Bella’s always been brave. No matter how hard you’ve tried to get her to open up, she’s always hidden her struggles from you. So, seeing her standing there, eyes gleaming with unshed tears, arms curled around herself as if she’s trying to hide from the world, it tears the ground out from under you.
“Do you really not believe me?” Her voice is meek, so different from her usual self.
“Oh, Bells,” you sigh, reaching for her.
But Bella steps away, avoids your touch completely, and that hurts. You clench your fingers, letting your hand fall to your side. You deserve that, you guess. You’ve done nothing but avoid her this whole time. Even now, you’re only here to try and convince her she saw it wrong.
You haven’t exactly been a good sister, have you?
“You don’t.”
“I-” Your jaw clenches. What can you say? You don’t want to lie, not again, not when you know it’ll just drive this wedge further. You can’t lose her, not yet. You’re not ready.
“Well?” Bella scowls, eyes burning holes through you.
You purse your lips, quietly breathing out, “It’s not so simple, Bella.”
“What do you mean?” She takes a step towards you, and you swear you see fire burning along the edges of her figure. You take a step back, wary. “You either believe me or you don’t. What’s so difficult about that?”
“There’s a lot you don’t know.”
You know you’re not helping. You know the answer should be simple. But so is your desire to love your sister, to keep her in your life, to not let go of one of the good things left of your human life.
“Obviously,” Bella scoffs, “Like why you’re always disappearing now? I feel like I see less of you than when I lived in Phoenix.”
“I can’t-” You cut yourself off, biting your tongue.
“Can’t what?
“I can’t talk about it,” you finish weakly.
“Why?”
“It’s not mine to talk about!”
“Why? You seem to be a part of it, whatever it is.”
“Because, Bells, it just isn’t! And you need to stop poking around it.”
“So you are hiding something.”
“Y- No!” You groan, collapsing onto the bed. “Just drop it Bella, please, for me.”
Bella just shakes her head, “I can’t.”
An abrupt silence fills the room, settling heavily over the two of you. You’re both heaving, tense with more to say but no fight left to do it. You can’t budge, and neither will she. A heavy sigh passes your lips as you drag a hand over your face.
What a mess.
The bed shifts as Bella sits next to you. You glance at her, eyes narrowed, tired, and she looks just as worn out. It’s been a long time since you’ve fought like this.
“...I’m sorry, Bells.” Your voice is quiet, pained. No response.
Seconds tick by like hours until she breaks the silence again to ask, “Can you just tell me one thing?”
You should say it depends. The less you reveal the better, considering you definitely just made this all worse. You’ve always had a sucky poker face. But you can’t bring yourself to say it, to keep this exhausting facade up, so you just offer a slow nod.
Bella hesitates, brows synching as she scans your face, “Do I…Do I need to be worried about you in all of this?”
Irony.
At its finest.
With a melancholic smile, you shake your head, “No Bells, I’m okay. I’m happy, actually. I’m just worried about you.”
“Okay.”
And just like that, the tension drips away, leaving the two of you in a comfortable moment of acceptance. You lean against her shoulder, relief flooding you when she doesn’t lean away. Her head even falls against your shoulder, just like when you were younger.
This is what you’ve missed.
And it’s only then, with your nose touching her hair, that you realize her scent doesn’t smell nearly as appealing to you. You hadn’t even noticed it this whole time. A tiny grin captures your lips as you shut your eyes. Finally.
“Can I ask you something?” You hum eventually.
“Depends.”
This time, you roll your eyes, “What do you think of Edward?”
Bella’s face immediately flushes a deep crimson, and that’s enough of an answer for you. Your grin turns teasing as you jostle her lightly.
“You like him, don’t you?”
She scoffs, “As if.”
But her eyes look everywhere but at you.
“You’re horrible at lying, Bells,” you giggle.
“No, I’m not.”
“Then why are you blushing?”
“Well, it’s just- that’s just totally insane. Edward? No, he’s like so…weird and bipolar.”
“And cute,” you chime, earning a glare from the younger Swan.
“Shut up.”
“You’re not denying it.”
“I don’t like Edward.”
“Okaaay~”
You hop to your feet and Bella barely catches herself on the bed, casting you a not too fierce glare.
“Seriously, (Y/n).”
“No, I totally believe you, Bella,” you sing as you glide to the door.
“I don’t like him.”
“Me neither.”
“(Y/n).”
You pause at the doorway, looking back at her with a wolfish grin.
“Bella.”
She’s somehow even more red, practically fuming.
“He doesn’t even like me! You saw how he acted today.” Her face falls at the memory, and you can’t help but shake your head.
To think, even after an argument, you can still have moments like this.
This is worth fighting for.
“Just give it time, Bella.” She looks up at you, and you can see in her eyes, the desperate wish for answers, answers you can’t share. Yet. “He was a jerk today, and trust me, he’ll get a whoopin’ for it, but I stand by what I said. Edward is a good guy. He just…well, he’s got a villain complex, let’s put it that way.”
The brunette snorts, a slight smile disrupting her usual cloudy expression. Good, you think proudly. Your pretty sister shouldn’t look so down, especially over a dumb vampire who doesn’t know how to handle girls, at all.
“Are you off to give him a ‘whoopin’?” Bella asks, putting the word in air quotes.
“Something like that,” you muse, slipping past the doorway. You stop just past it, thinking for just a moment before you flip back again, clinging to the frame as you lean in, “I know you’re not going to stop looking Bella, but will you please keep what happened quiet? Can you trust me on that at least?”
“I won’t tell anyone,” she reassures you, and that’s enough.
You nod, “Thanks Tinkerbell.”
“(Y/n), I swear-”
“Bye!”
You’re almost down the stairs, laughing like a maniac, by the time she comes chasing after you. Even before you were a vampire, she never could match up to you in a race.
“I’ll tell Edward you said hi!” You call as you reach the door.
“Don’t you dare!”
You slam it shut behind you, taking off towards your car. Bella flings it back open, but doesn’t break past the threshold, merely glaring at you from the house. You flash her a blinding grin as you pull out of the driveway, fingers wiggling in a little wave.
Your cheeks might split from how wide you’re grinning as you race down the roads of Forks to the Cullen’s house.
Who knew things could be like this again. You never hoped in your wildest dreams that you could have this back once you changed. And now that you know it’s there, it’s possible, you can’t just let it go. No matter the storms, no matter the arguments, this is worth protecting.
Hopefully you can convince the others of it as well.
---
I love writing the sister dynamic. I don't have sisters, so I don't know if it's accurate, but this is what I'd hope my sister and I would be like.
I hope I'm balancing it all well, and I hope you guys enjoyed this part!

Too many eyes grabbed onto you as you walked into the galley for breakfast. You felt your own eyes widen as you avoided catching any of them.
You knew why Zoro and Sanji were tracking your every movement, but Robin’s eyes felt heavy as well.
I should have known. There was no way the boys could be subtle.
You looked up at Robin briefly, her sly smirk making your cheeks flush.
The conversation felt muffled, but luckily the swordsman and the cook didn’t try to interact with you. You’d told Zoro you’d wait for him to figure things out, and your mind was dreading every outcome you could imagine.
I don’t want this to end.
Biting your lip, you let Luffy grab the rest of the food on your plate that you couldn’t force down.
In the hallway, aimlessly moving toward the deck, you jumped at a finger tapping you on the shoulder. You held your breath, turning to see which of the boys were pulling for your attention.
There was no one there.
Your brows furrowed, and you wondered if all your sleepless nights were starting to fuck with you. Until an arm appeared on the floor, beckoning you forward.
Gulping, you followed a trail of arms, until you found yourself in front of Robin’s door. One of her arms opened it from your side, motioning for you to enter.
Robin sat, lounging on her loveseat, which you had no idea how she’d gotten through her door. She was sprawled, lazily looking through a heavy book until she lifted her lovely blue eyes to meet yours. Scooting gracefully over, she set the book down before patting the cushion next to her.
You felt frozen stiff, but managed to make your way there, smelling her lovely vanilla musk scent.
Robin tilted her head, with another slow smile before finally breaking the silence.
“You’ve got those boys in more of a tussle than usual.”
Panicking, you stuttered, feeling your fingers grip into your thighs.
“It’s alright, Y/N.”
Robin’s tone stayed calm, as it always was, as she patted your clenched fist.
“I just wanted to make sure you’re okay. I want you to know that you can come to me if things get overwhelming.”
You felt heat build in your throat, not knowing why her words were hitting you quite so hard.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Giving her a watery smile, you gratefully shared your dilemma. Robin kept her calm eyes on you, nodding, and occasionally asking the perfect questions that helped you clarify your own thoughts.
Which were still jumbled.
“Well, Y/N. You are waiting for the swordsman to decide what he wants. You’ve told him, and now you’ve told me, what you believe you should want. Or what you believe would be the smart choice.”
You bit your lip as she kept dragging truths from you.
“What are the outcomes that you would prefer?”
Releasing a strained laugh, you lifted your face toward the ceiling while you sighed.
“I don’t know, Robin. All I know is that I’m scared to risk my place on the crew, scared to mess up our dynamics. But I also really don’t want to stop what we’re doing.”
Chuckling, Robin leaned back to look you over.
“No, I'm sure you don’t. And what about the cook?”
“Oh, uh. I don’t know. That kind of threw me off guard.”
Robin tapped her finger to her lips, looking like she was pondering the meaning of the universe.
“Well, it looks like you need to figure out your feelings too. I have my own opinions, if you’d like an outside perspective.”
You nodded, almost desperate for advice.
“If you and the swordsman fall for each other, it could be scary, uncertain. But we are all family. We would get through it all together.”
Tears welled up, not falling yet. The warmth you felt was so soothing.
“On the other hand, if you’d prefer to keep things casual, I think you should enjoy them both. You wouldn’t want to waste such a bounty.”
You choked on air, waiting for Robin to say she was joking. But Robin just stared at you with mischief, almost a challenge in her eyes.
“I-I…”
“Come on, love. You’ve got plenty to think about.”
Robin's many limbs gently pushed you from the couch, and into the hallway. You went along, mouth gaping until you looked back at her through the door frame. She sat there, still smirking.
“By the way, I wouldn’t be opposed to hearing some of the more salacious details later.”
Robin winked as the door closed, and one of her arms smacked your ass in the hallway.
Clamping your hand over your mouth to cover your surprised yelp, you stood in stunned silence for a while.
Then, grinning, you made your way to your own quarters to think things over. You breathed easier knowing that someone was on your side, not just fighting over it.
The rest of the day was a wash. There was no way you could accomplish anything until your mind was settled, so you fucking napped. You needed it after the past few days with Zoro.
Fuck.
You were dozing in your hanging bed, but just that brief thought of Zoro had your body reacting.
He’s fucking right. I am needy.
You wished he’d knock on your door right now, and take advantage of the wetness the thought of him had caused.
Then your brain woke enough to remember more of the dilemma and you shook yourself, trying to get out of your head.
‘I think you should enjoy them both.’
Robin's playful words twisted through your brain, until you were reaching for yourself again. The thought of Sanji touching himself while you came on Zoro’s cock. The way he’d begged you to fuck him, the way his tongue hung out of his mouth when he heard you moan.
Your fingers found your swollen clit, so ready to be toyed with after all your recent pleasure.
Zoro shoving you against the wall, reaching down your pants to test how wet Sanji made you. Sanji tracing his fingers along yours, promising to focus on your pleasure. Zoro shoving his shirt in your mouth to muffle your screams while he fucked you into the floor.
It didn’t take long for your body to release, and you’d gotten so skilled at holding in your moans that you barely made a sound while you twitched. Panting, you stared at the ceiling and groaned.
Both? Both. Both is good.
You covered your face with your hands, realizing you’d just dragged your slick along your forehead. Groaning, and laughing at yourself, you hopped off the bed and got ready for dinner.
Robin gave you a knowing smile when you walked in, and you practically ran to sit next to her comforting energy. The meal went about the same as usual, though you were pleasantly surprised to see that Sanji was giving you space, not pushing like he was yesterday.
Zoro was still scowling at him, but you were pretty sure he did that everyday.
As you followed Robin out the door, a light tap on your shoulder brought you around. Zoro leaned against the doorframe, and you heard Sanji behind him, cleaning up the kitchen.
“I, uh-”
“Take watch with me?”
Zoro kept his eyes on yours, but pointed up. You smiled when you saw he was pointing in the opposite direction from the crows nest, so you led the way.
Settling against the rough wood floor of the crows nest, you pulled your knees to your chest, and tried not to look panicked.
No matter what, I’m a Strawhat Pirate. Everything else is just gravy.
Zoro had his back against the post across from you, legs stretched out beside yours. He stopped gazing at the stars to finally meet your face.
“I think you’re right. I think having a serious relationship with a crew member could be a bad idea.”
Swallowing, you tried to steady your breathing.
“I uh. Fuck. I’m not good at this shit.”
Your lips curved, but you held in what you could.
“I like you, Y/N. I like you as a crew mate, and a friend.”
Your breath was caught, waiting for him to finish.
“We shouldn’t go further than that. We can’t make our decisions muddled.”
His eyes seared into yours, and you silently begged him to keep going so you could breathe.
“I want to keep our arrangement. But I think if I can’t handle sharing you, then we shouldn’t keep going.”
His pauses were fucking killing you.
“I’d like to stay crew mates with benefits, and agree that we can see or sleep with who we want.”
Your brows flew so high, it felt like you might lose them.
“A-Are you sure?”
“Yes, Needy. I did the big think, and the big talk. I promise I’ll do it again if I need to.”
You laughed, then caught yourself.
“Thank you, Zoro. I agree with that arrangement. And we can keep talking about it, please let me know-”
“I will, Y/N... So what happens now?”
“Hmm”
“Are you gonna go fuck the cook now?”
You held in your laughter again, not wanting to push this struggling swordsman.
“Not tonight. Plus, I need to talk to him first. He might not be okay with our arrangement anyway.”
“Oh, he’ll be okay with it. That pervy cook’ll do anything to get you to touch him.”
You held in your smile as you watched Zoro quietly seethe, resigned to the possibility.
“Well, Zoro. We can keep talking. We have to keep communicating. If this hurts you-”
“It won’t hurt me. You’re right. We shouldn’t get too attached because it could endanger the group. If I can’t pull my shit together around the waiter, then we shouldn’t risk it.”
Your body was absolutely buzzing. This is crazy.
“And you're sure?”
“Yes , Needy. I’ll let you know if it changes… So now what?”
Your skin was hot as you watched Zoros lips, and his strong fingers that flexed as he spoke.
“Well, now I was hoping you’d fuck me in the crows nest,” you teased with finger tracing along his calf.
Zoro’s satisfied smile brightened his scowling face, and you loved to see it. This must have been so difficult for him.
And now Zoro crawled over to you, an evil glint in his eyes.
Oh fuck.
He kissed your jaw and neck, and you sighed into his gentle touches. Your arms wrapped around him, enjoying the softness, but waiting for his strength to take you.
Zoro’s lips and tongue kept dancing along your neck and shoulder, and you shivered as you left kisses on his.
His growled words vibrated through your ear, making your body flood, aching for him.
“You’ll still be my Needy girl, won’t you, Y/N?”
“Y-Yes Zoro,” you gasped, back arching for him.
“Needy for me,” he asked before sucking your earlobe, scraping it with his hungry teeth.
“Fuck yes, Zoro. I still need you. I need your cock.”
Zoro took your lips then, holding your body to him, and you almost sobbed with the anticipation of whatever he was about to do to you. Zoro broke the kiss to trail his tongue down your throat, pulling your top over your head.
You cried out as Zoro massaged your breasts, his movements getting harsher as he growled.
Panting, you reached for his shirt, but he tore it off, then pulled your pants down. You took your bra and panties off while you watched him strip, while he stroked a condom onto that long, beautiful shaft of his.
“Let me see you.”
A moan escaped you, and you set yourself up with your clothes as a pillow before spreading your thighs for him.
Zoro’s eyes shifted even darker, and you could have been scared if you weren’t so ready for him to use you.
Zoro brought his face close to your core, trailing a finger through your folds to see the wet strands as he pulled away. His breathing hitched, and you loved to see how your body affected him.
“So fucking hungry.”
A small moan turned bigger as he entered you, two fingers already going to swift work. Zoro always took your pleasure from you, never waiting for it to arrive. His other hand went for your clit, attacking that bundle of nerves until you were thrashing for him, sobbing so you wouldn’t scream, coming for Zoro as he chuckled over you.
“Can’t get enough, huh? Does my needy kitten want some more?”
“Gods, yes pleeease!”
“That’s right, beg for me.”
You kept pleading, until he set himself up between your legs.
“Keep begging, Needy girl.”
And you did. You moaned, and gasped and begged until Zoro brought his cock to you, circling it around your clit while you twitched.
Zoro entered you, so slowly, and you enjoyed every inch as he worked himself into you.
He looked so satisfied, his eyes still filled with that look, like he’d claimed you. You shivered under him, watching him groan as your body clenched around his.
Zoro reached his arms under your legs, almost rolling your body as he rested your calves on either side of his neck, your knees almost reaching your shoulders.
Even without thrusting, the change in angles made you writhe, breathing his name. Zoro caged you in his arms, eyes blown out as he stared at your panting lips.
“Can you take this cock for me, Needy?”
“Yes, Zoro, I can take-”
Your words were choked out of you as you tried not to scream. The angle Zoro had forced you into, was fucking you into, had your mind fucking melting.
Right as you were about to tell him it was too much, the pain became flooded with pleasure. The feeling was so hot, so sharp, but now waves of vibration shot though you as you came, pulsing and squeezing him with your aching pussy.
“Fuck, Needy. That’s it, baby.”
Moaning under his praise, you started to feel it was too much again, but Zoro took you over.
He snaked a hand around your leg, playing with your clit until you were already so close again, panting and losing your mind.
“You’re so good at taking my cock, Needy. Show me how hungry that pussy is for me.”
You lost control of your body, your arms and legs clenching hard as you shattered around him.
“Fuuuck, Needy…”
Zoro twitched above you, but your mind was fucking blank. It was so intense, it almost felt like your ears were ringing as you started to come down.
Zoro had pulled out of you, and set your legs along the floor. Your heart felt stuck in your throat as he laid himself onto you. His head was resting on your lower stomach, his arms wrapped around your sides. You looked up at the stars above, and almost felt uncertain tears stinging your eyes.
“Zoro?”
He twitched, slowly lifting off of you.
“Fuck, Y/N, don’t let me lay down again. I’m about to pass out naked.”
Zoro shook himself before helping you dress, brushing off your clothes.
You sat there looking at him, catching yourself wanting to cater to his feelings, to focus on his needs.
Friends and crew mates should do that too, but you knew there would be a fine line to cross before caring too much.
Instead of asking if he was okay, or if he was really sure again, you decided to trust that your friend was an adult, and had told you the truth.
“Thanks for helping me out, Zoro.”
The sight of his smug grin was perfect, and you climbed down feeling oh so happy.
As you crept across the deck you caught the whiff of cigarette smoke close by, and shook your head.
That’s a tomorrow conversation. But I hope he enjoyed the show.
Giggling to yourself, you raced to your room before any more Strawhats could claim you.
Rolling into your blankets, you couldn't help your muffled squeals as you imagined what tomorrow would bring.

Roman Empire this, Roman Empire that. I don’t really think I have a Roman Empire-
The Overwhelming Hatred of Rachel Zegler
This rising star of a 22 year old woman is being torn apart by men and women alike and I’m so tired of it.
I’m disgusted by the amount of hate she’s getting and you best believe I’m gonna lay it out. I’ve tried to organize this but I’m really tired so bear with me.
Main Controversy
Her saying that it’s no longer 1937 and Snow White doesn’t need to be saved by the prince is not her saying that women can’t want to have a husband or a family. Simply that they don’t need a man to give them value.
And to be clear, yes, okay? Yes. Women should be allowed to soft, they can want families, they don’t need to be badass to be happy. They can fit “traditional” roles. Women can want different things. Meg March, the icon that she is, “just because my dreams are different than yours doesn’t mean they’re unimportant.” 100% yes. But Rachel wasn’t saying otherwise.
She said the prince was a bit of a stalker so they’re not doing that this time… and yes? The prince was weird. I thought we agreed on that. Snow White was 14 in the original and got kissed while she was unconscious by an adult man… but sure, ✨iconic✨.
And it’s fine if you don’t like the *apparent* girlbossification of Snow White, but people are acting like Rachel wrote the movie?? Did it ever occur to people that maybe Disney wants the “girlboss independent woman who doesn’t need a man” picture presented?
She’s doing press for the movie, is she maybe taking the direction Disney gave her?? Also… we. haven’t. seen. the. movie. The teaser only just came out!
Strike Comments
Her comments being popularized during the strike is already suspicious enough. Is it not in the studio’s interests to portray the strike and those taking part in it as unreasonable?
Her saying she deserves to be paid fairly for the hours she spends in a dress playing an iconic Disney character is completely valid. She wasn’t saying she’s the most amazing actress ever or that she plays the hardest roles or does the most complicated stunts. Just that she deserves fair pay… like every other striking actor and writer??
Childhood Relationship With The Character
Her saying that Snow White scared her as a child and she didn’t revisit it until she got cast. Why does that matter so much?? There were scary things in that movie! The witch, the poison apple, the forest coming to life and trying to grab her.
Tastes change as we grow and Rachel has shared her excitement about getting to play the character now.
She was a child. *screaming*
The Extremely Different Treatment Men Receive in The Same Situations
May I present, Robert Pattinson?? Mr I hate these books and felt like I shouldn’t be reading them?? Mr Edward is creepy?
He mocked and joked about the Twilight series every chance he got and people ate it up. They loved it and still do. He’s funny, he’s confident, he’s so real for that.
Harrison Ford wanted his character to die off and said it had run its course. He was praised for his humour and honesty.
Oh but Rachel is ungrateful. She’s rude, she’s cringe, she’s mean, she’s annoying. She’s irredeemable, she’s overbearing, she’s smug, off putting. There’s just something about her that we don’t like…
She’s pitted against other successful women, like Halle Bailey. She’s pitted against Kristen Stewart. Against Elle Fanning, Jenna Ortega. Ignoring, may I point out, how hated so many of these women have been at the different points in their careers?
This is how Brie Larson is being treated and now she wants to leave Marvel too.
Women can be sarcastic. They can joke and speak their minds. They don’t have to package every thought with a pretty little bow so it’s palatable to you.
Rachel’s statements are being misinterpreted and twisted. But on top of that, even if she was what people are saying, have we forgotten about Tom Cruise? Leonardo DeCaprio?
These men are insufferable and problematic and yet some of the biggest names in the industry and, again, confident. Boss. In charge. Charismatic. Not annoying, not petty, not “oh you should be grateful you have anything!!”
Let me pull out Taylor Swift for a hot second because she does a wonderful job of describing the different ways we talk about men and women.
A man does something and it’s strategic. A woman does the same thing and it’s calculated. A man is allowed to react, a woman can only overreact. […] A man shares his experience in writing and he’s brave. A woman does the same thing and she’s over sharing, she’s over emotional, watch out!
America Ferrera when she said that the only difference between being bossy and being a boss is that one is a woman.
People need to listen to “All American Bitch” again -
I know my place, I know my place, and this is it! I don't get angry when I'm pissed I'm the eternal optimist I scream inside to deal with it All the time I'm grateful all the time I'm sexy, and I'm kind I'm pretty when I cry Oh, all the time I'm grateful all the time
And not that women need to be grateful because they don’t, but just to be clear, she is grateful.
She has expressed how lucky she was to get Shazam and how much she enjoyed it and made amazing friends. She was excited to play her version of Snow White. She shared pictures of herself as a child dressed as Snow White. She’s thrown herself into it.
Conclusions
Hate trains fun, I get it. But let’s not pile on young women when they’ve not even done anything wrong. Question why all of a sudden everyone hates this person, what are the facts, what else is going on, what confirmation bias do we have?
There is something so much worse to me about seeing other women tear her down. Like yeah, men will be pigs, but what are you doing? It’s so sad.
And women like hunting witches too, doing your dirtiest work for you, it’s obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together… (Mad Woman, Taylor Swift)
Rachel seems like such a joyful person and people are out here bullying her like she kicks puppies on the weekends.
Claiming to be a feminist because you want a wide variety of princesses (ie, ones that get saved by their prince), and then sending death threats to another woman for possibly appearing as though she holds a different opinion about one princess - is not only a contradiction, it’s just baffling.
Anyway stan Rachel Zegler
That’s my speech, please do contribute collaboratively if you want :).

I absolutely love what you wrote about Simon being a reader🥹 it's so heart warming!
can I request Reader bringing Simon to a big library/bookstore as like a surprise or something? i wanna see that man's eyes light up and heal his inner child
Ahhh that’s so cute of an idea @abbugaduu
“Where are we going?”
“I told you! To get you a better birthday present.”
“But I liked what you got me.”
You just shook your head with a smile and led the way down the street. You knew he liked it but you couldn’t help but feel a little bad about how it was extremely anticlimactic compared to what you could’ve gotten him instead. That’s why you were currently making your way to the largest bookstore in your city.
Simon had mentioned it once that he’d been meaning to go there but he always never found the time and wanted to avoid having to, “speak with anyone I don’t want to,” which meant pretty much everyone but you.
“Okay, close your eyes.” You stopped when you were a little bit sways from the store and stared at him with a grin.
“No.” He gave you an incredulous look and you were sure he was frowning behind the surgical mask.
“Come on, you’ll okay.”
He sighed and carefully placed his hand over his eyes, opting for a different way.
It made you smile even more before you gently took his other hand and carefully led him on the sidewalk. You couldn’t help but feel a little warm in your chest when he held your hand a little tighter and you glanced back at him to see he was peaking through his fingers at where you both were connected.
“Ah, no peaking!” You exclaimed and he immediately closed his fingers.
“Don’t run me into anything.” He grunted.
You laughed and he made a noise but still kept his hand over his eyes. Before long you standing in front of the shop and you were starting to get giddy as you squeezed his hand.
“Okay, you can open them.”
Simon took his hand away from his face and when he looked up at the bookstore, he immediately glanced back at you with hidden excitement.
“I’m paying for everything.” You began and stopped him when he went to protest. “I saved up money, don’t you dare skip out on any books you want, got it?”
“This is…” He can't find the words to say, he's almost overwhelmed.
You gave him a warm smile and gently pushed him towards the store, ready to following his every whim.
And you did, you followed him around the store listening to him tell you his thoughts about certain books and series, recommending you the ones he knows you’ll read and somewhat trying to convince on one’s you might not.
He tried to put a few books down that he liked but didn’t want to make you buy for him, but you were too quick and grabbed them from him.
“But-“
“What other ones are thinking about getting?”
By the end of the trip, he’s got quite the selection being carried into the apartment. He’s giddy, you can tell by the way his eyes light up, but he still has that guilty look on his face from having gotten so many of them.
“Let me pay you back.” He practically demands it and you let out an exasperated sigh.
“Fine, I’ll tell you how you can pay me back.” You say and he looks ready to do anything.
“Tell me in great about your thoughts on every single one of these books when you get finished.”
“Seriosuly-“
“And…!”
You paused for dramatic effect watching as he gave you an amused look before you placed your hands on his chest and gave him a grin.
“Give me a kiss for every book you got.”
Simon scoffs, his lips twitching upwards before he presses a soft kiss on your cheek, knowing that you wouldn’t accept any other kind of payment from him.
“Thank you.” He whispers in your ear as he pressed another kiss on your face, and another, and one more.
“You’re welcome.”
