jilly x reader where the reader gets hypothermia
cw: symptoms of mild hypothermia, (implied?) freezing water, non-sexual nudity
poly!Jily x fem!reader ♡ 1.2k words
James half carries you back to the cabin. This is partly because you’re shivering too hard to walk as quickly as you’d like, and partly because your legs simply won’t move the way you tell them to. Your wet lashes feel heavy with the ice crystals you imagine forming on them.
He passes you off to Lily while he unlocks the front door. She rubs one hand uselessly over your arm through your soaked coat, using the other to unstick a frigid piece of hair from your face.
They both help you inside. Set you down on the couch, and James makes a sound close to a laugh when you protest about getting wet on his mother’s cushions.
“Start a fire, please?” Lily is all business, panic making her stern. Or maybe not stern so much as resolved. Her features are set, green eyes alternating between worried and determined, but her hands are characteristically gentle as they unzip your coat and pull you out of it one arm at a time.
“Love?”
You realize she’s been talking to you. “Hm?”
Delicate brows pinch in either concern or relief. “How do you feel, sweetheart?”
“Oh. Um.” Your chittering makes your words come out jolting and stilted. “Cold.”
“Tired?” she asks. You put your arms up when she motions for you to, letting her lift your jumper over your head. The thought that you’re the only one getting undressed between your partners doesn’t occur to you; you only know that Lily seems urgent, and you trust her.
“Ye—yeah.”
“I think we have an electric blanket around here somewhere,” says James. He’s poking at a log in the fireplace, trying to provoke a bigger flame. “Get her closer to here, love.”
“I’m still trying to get her out of her wet clothes. Can you help me?”
James helps you to stand so Lily can tug your trousers off. They stick to your legs but crinkle oddly, stiff with ice. James kisses your temple and murmurs something you can’t quite make out. You feel guilty for ruining what was meant to be a fun afternoon of ice skating on the pond near James’ family cabin. You’ve never heard Lily shout like she did when the ice broke beneath you.
They wrap you up in an electric blanket and put your hair up in a towel to get it off your neck, and you let James massage warmth into your fingers while Lily makes something warm for you to drink.
“Jamie,” she calls from the kitchen, “do you all keep a thermometer here?”
“Um, I’m not sure,” replies James. “If we did, it’d be in one of the drawers in the bathroom.”
You hear your girlfriend whizz off in that direction.
“How are you, angel?” James presses a couple of firm, warm kisses to your face, squeezing your hands. “Do you still feel tired?”
“A little,” you admit. Your shivering has lessened, though. “Is it okay that we left our skates by the pond?”
“What?” He gives a little laugh. “Yeah, it’s fine. That’s not really the top concern right now, you know?”
You frown. It’s supposed to snow again tonight. “I don’t want them to get buried…”
“I’ll go get them later,” James reassures you. He kisses your nose. “Don’t worry about that, lovebug. Just try to get warm, okay?”
“I sort of feel like you guys are doing all the work for me.”
James’ laughs as Lily comes to sit beside you.
“Here, can you keep this in your mouth for me, please?” You nod, but when she slips the thermometer under your tongue she evidently makes a last-minute call to hold it herself instead. Lily’s thumb drags heavily over your cheek. You notice her bottom lip looks colored and bitten.
“I think I’m okay…” you try to tell her, but stop when she shushes you gently.
“That’s good, lovely, but don’t talk with this in your mouth.” She gives you a terse smile.
James transfers both of your hands to one of his, using the other to squeeze her elbow consolingly. Both of your partners watch you intently as you wait.
When Lily deems it's been long enough and looks at the thermometer, her posture slumps with relief.
“Oh, it’s—that’s not so bad.”
James grins, reading over her shoulder. “It must be coming up,” he says confidently.
You offer your girlfriend a smile. “I told you, I think I’m fine.”
Lily makes a soft, strangled sound, eyebrows pinching in the moment before she throws her arms around you. You see some of your own surprise reflected in James’ expression as you catch her, bringing her into the heated dome of your electric blanket with you.
“I didn’t know…I was really scared,” she confesses tearily, squeezing you around your neck.
You rub her back in an attempt to reassure her. Behind her, James is doing the same. He gets his arms around the both of you, holding your shoulders through the blanket.
“It’s alright,” he says. “We must be doing something right, yeah? Or she wouldn’t be getting better so quickly.”
Lily exhales a shaky breath. “I am never, ever going ice skating again.”
“Yes, you are,” you tell her fondly.
“No. And you shouldn’t either! In fact, I hope our skates do get buried, and neither of you can ever find them.”
You make a sound of protest, but James speaks over you, “Alright, lovely. We can let nature roll the dice tonight, if that’s what you want.”
“But James—”
“Angel, you weren’t witness to your own blue lips,” he tells you, rubbing your shoulder pacifyingly. “I think we’re permitted a bit of overreaction right now. I say bury the skates.”
You give a little laugh. “You’re both taking this too far. We don’t have to use them, but there’s no reason to leave perfectly good skates out there in the snow.”
“Mm, let’s say we return to that debate when you’re no longer shivering.”
You all sit there for a while, holding each other while the fire crackles and warmth seeps into your fingertips. Lily’s hands are actually quite cold around your neck, but you refuse to tell her lest she spring away from you. When the kettle starts to whistle, she sniffs and pulls away anyways, wiping under her eyes.
“I’ve got it,” says James, standing with a kiss to each of your heads. “What are we having?”
“Hot chocolate.” She takes a breath, collecting herself. “She needs something with sugar. Thanks, Jamie.”
You smile at her. “You’re so brilliant. How do you know that?”
Lily’s lips tilt slightly in response. “I read it somewhere.”
“So brilliant,” you repeat, kissing her softly on the lips. They’re noticeably warmer than yours, but you feel much more yourself than you had when you first got back to the cabin. “Thanks for helping me.”
She makes a scoffing sort of noise. It doesn’t sound terribly derisive when it’s bent by fondness like this. Lily touches the backs of her fingers to your cheek, caressing. “You don’t have to thank us. Either of us,” she says. The tears have cleared from her eyes, leaving a raw caring in their wake. “We love you. A lot.”
Your heart feels more than sufficiently warmed as you close the gap between you again. “I love you a lot, too.”

Kill Licenses
Stargirl was excited! Captain Marvel had just offered to let her fight crime with him in Fawcett. The man was like a big brother to everyone. That included her. He was super nice, was normally the person who first stepped up to diffuse a situation, and overall just a big teddy bear of a man. So it was a little bit a of a surprise when she saw him snap a rapist’s neck like a twig.
Marvel: *drops the body, muttering something about paperwork*
Stargirl: *gobsmacked*
Marvel: *looks over to her for a second before doing a double take* “Oh my gods I forgot you were here!” *sounds horrified*
Stargirl: “You just killed a man!”
Marvel: “I know- I know!” *leads her away from the body* “I’m so sorry you had to see that.” *sounds completely ashamed*
Stargirl: “There’s nothing to be sorry about. You killed a rapist. That’s one less evil in the world, but my question is how are you gonna get away with this?! Cap, you’re gonna go to jail!”
Marvel: “Ah… Well, no. I have a license to kill.”
Stargirl: “Wait, you can actually have one of those?”
Marvel: “Yeah, uh me, and most of the other Fawcett heroes have one. We’ve all had them since the sixties and had to get them renewed a while back. It’s not a bad thing to have for situations like this.”
Stargirl: “…Can I have one?”
Marvel: “Yes? No? I don’t know? You should in my opinion. It’s a good safety net for if you accidentally kill a villain. You just fill out some paperwork and you’ll be safe. Do you want one…?”
Stargirl: “Yes.” *immediate answer*
Marvel: “Are you sure? I mean, you’re a teenager, so you might need a parent to sign or something.”
Stargirl: “Well, I don’t have a parent right now, but I do technically have a temporary guardian at the moment.” *eyes him*
Marvel: “No… you’re not seriously suggesting…?”
And that’s how Marvel ended up taking Stargirl to a secret government base so she could get a kill license. Stargirl got a stellar recommendation from the Captain and passed with flying colors.
As they’re leaving the base…
Marvel: “Okay, so we need to lay some ground rules.”
Stargirl: “Ground rules?”
Marvel: “Yeah, ground rules. Now I know you’re not the type of kid to go around killing people all willy-nilly, but I’ll say it just in case, don’t go killing people all willy-nilly.”
Stargirl: “Well, duh, I’m not dumb.”
Marvel: “I know you aren’t. And now onto the actually important rule. Under any circumstances, do not kill around other heroes. That’s how Huntress got kicked out of the Justice League after all.”
Stargirl: “I can’t even do it around you?”
Marvel: “Well, I guess you could. And I guess you could do it around the other Fawcett heroes, but just make sure not to do it around heroes who don’t have a license, okay? I don’t wanna get in trouble, and I doubt you wanna get in trouble too.”
Stargirl: “Gotcha.”
Marvel: “Nice. Now that that’s out of the way, wanna go for victory ice cream since you got your license?”
A solid four months passed after this incident. The two forgot about it. They were chilling. Then, Courtney forgot that her stepdad didn’t know that she could legally kill a villain, fill out some paperwork, and face no repercussions.
S.T.R.I.P.E.: “YOU TOOK MY STEPDAUGHTER OUT TO GET A KILL LICENSE?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
Marvel: “Nothing! I didn’t think it was a bad thing!”
S.T.R.I.P.E.: “She’s sixteen. She sliced a man’s head off. CLEAN. With practiced precision. She doesn’t even have a drivers license! What in hell would make you think it’s a good idea to give her a kill license?!”
Marvel: “Okay, her slicing off someone’s head isn’t my fault. I didn’t teach her that, and the guys who gave her the license didn’t either.”
S.T.R.I.P.E.: “Then who did??”
Marvel: “I don’t know! Maybe she’s just bloodthirsty?”
Stargirl: “No I’m not?” *sounds slightly offended*
Marvel: *ignores her* “Look, the point is, I’m sorry for not telling you but please, please, pretty please don’t tell Batman.”
S.T.R.I.P.E.: “Why?”
Marvel: “Oh come on. He’s super anti-kill. If you told him he’d have me removed from the Justice League almost instantly.”
S.T.R.I.P.E.: “Maybe you should be removed! You don’t just give a kid the okay to kill someone.”
Marvel: “I’m not giving her an okay to do anything. I only wanted her to have it as a safety net. I promise.”
It took a lot of convincing for Pat not to squeal to Batman, but thankfully, they got it in the end. Though, the man still ended up chewing the two out.

And They Were Roommates pt.7
Summary: this one is pretty short and sweet, but Y/N makes the boys friendship bracelets.
“What colors do you want?” you ask Sirius who is sitting on the other side of the couch, picking out beads and charms that he likes. You were making little bracelets for you and the girls when Sirius walked in the living room and asked what you were up to. He cozied up next to you and watched as you intricately wove and knotted a pink, white, and green bracelet for Lily. Once you were finished he sweetly asked for one, and you of course agreed.
“Do you have red and black?” he asked, still sifting through the little charms.
“Of course,” you replied, “I also have this silvery color I think you’d like.” You lifted the string of the shimmery silver so he could see. His face lit up and he nodded. You cut three equal length strings in the colors he wanted and began tying knots.
He handed you three charms that he wanted: a star, a red guitar, and cherries. You couldn’t explain it, but those charms just made sense on a Sirius bracelet.
He hovered over you, watching intently, sitting close enough to rest his chin on your shoulder. You enjoyed this small, quiet moment with Sirius. You felt like you didn’t get them often, but when they happen, it leaves you with a warm feeling all over.
“Could you teach me how to make one?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you replied, “just grab some colors and copy me.” you turned to face him, legs criss-crossed, knees touching his.
“Ok, just go slow.” he said.
You smiled and showed him the basic knots and loops he had to copy, at a much slower pace, making sure your work was on clear display for him to follow. “See you make a ‘4’ with the strings, and make sure it is tight so that you can see the pattern,” you explained, “and then you move to the next string.”
“W-wait, slow down.” he laughed.
“Keep up, slow poke.” you laughed back. In all fairness, he did try, but somewhere along the way it all went wrong.
The bracelet, if you could call it that, turned into some sort of knotted ball, strings hanging loose. You bit your lip and turned away to stop from laughing.
“Don’t you dare laugh.” he said, this just made you hide your face in your hands to muffle the giggles coming out. “Stop it! I tried so hard!” he said, fake pouting.
“Oh it’s lovely Siri,” you laughed, holding out your wrist for him to tie it to. It looked like something a cat would play with, but you were genuinely proud of him for trying. He grabbed ahold of your wrist and secured it, a goofy smile cut across his face. You loved to see it, loved that he was comfortable to be silly around you, himself around you.
“Ok, ok my turn.” you say to him. He closed his eyes and held out his wrist, the same way you did. You tied the bracelet around his wrist, knotting it to make sure he could take it off when he wanted. “Ok look!”
He opened his eyes. His smile grew and he looked quite pleased. “I love it.” he said, eyes not moving from the strings. There it was again, that warm little feeling. "You gotta tie it tighter so it wont come off." you nodded and tightened it. You thought surely he would take it off soon after you put it on, but maybe you thought wrong.
You heard footsteps make their way downstairs. You looked up seeing Remus, still in pajamas and hair a bit messy.
“Morning sunshine.” Sirius shot at him. Remus yawned and made his way over to the pair of you. It wasn’t irregular for him to sleep in so late, usually allowing himself a day of rest once a month, you figured it was because he always stayed up so late and he was trying to fix his sleep schedule.
“Hi Remmy,” you greeted him.
“What are you two up to?” he asked, voice groggy and deep.
“We are making bracelets, Y/N is teaching me.” Sirius said, holding his wrist up for Remus to see.
Remus took Sirius’s hand and held it close, examining your work. He smiled at you. “Fine craftsmanship, I see,” he said jokingly.
“Would you like one? I can make one for you as well.” you asked. It would not take long at all, you had made hundreds before.
He nodded. “Course I would like one, love.”
You beamed up at him, clapping your hands eagerly. “Pick out the colors and charms you’d like.” you ordered him.
He chose green, brown, and a yellowy tan color. The colors much like the sweaters he often wears. He picked out a singular charm, a crescent moon, and the letters spelling out ‘moony’.
“Moony?” you asked. He was now sitting on the armchair, sitting sideways, long legs dangling over the arm’s edge.
He chuckled, supplying you with a short, “It’s a nickname.”
“But why-” you were interrupted with the front door opening and James swooping in, always the tornado. He was out of breath and sweaty, just coming back from a jog.
“Hello! I need to shower- Ah Remus nice to see you’re finally awake, anyways after that I want to make dinner-Chicken and pasta alright?” he asked, so fast paced and chaotic, the way he always was. He stopped in his tracks when he saw what you were doing, coming to the back of the couch and looking over. “What is that?” he asked.
“A bracelet, I made one for Sirius and now one for Remus. Sirius made me one too, which I love and am very proud of.” you held up your arm for James to see the yarn ball dangling halfway on your wrist. James and Remus both burst into laughter, Sirius chuckling along with them.
“Well that's not fair,” James said, “if you are making friendship bracelets, I want one too.”
You giggled at the slight childishness of that statement, but replied, “Fine, you pick out some colors and charms too.”
James picked red, yellow, and white for his colors and two tiny gold charms; a sun and a lightning bolt. The sun made sense for him, he was always the light and warmth within the house, bright and happy. The lightning bolt however…
“Why the lightning bolt?” you asked, straining your neck all the way back to look at him above the couch.
He smiled down at you and shrugged. “No clue, I just think it’s cool.”

Used as Bait
Jason and Tim, who have been goofing off since getting out of the Batcave, finally arrived at the GCPD building thirty minutes after they were supposed to be there.
“Got anything for us, Gordon?” Jason asks.
Gordon looks up from his file, then looks back down.
“What is he doing?” Jason asks.
“Ignoring us for the mandatory five minutes because we wasted his time,” Tim answers. “He put it in place when B got into the habit of making a meeting and then being late for it.”
“And B hates having his time wasted.”
“Yup. And to be fair, we’re like thirty minutes late. Gordon does usually have some grace if we’re not too late.”
Jason takes his helmet off and starts messing with his hair.
“Is something wrong?” Tim asks.
“Nope,” Jason answers. “We’re just gonna be seeing Maria before patrol’s over.”
“You have got to be kidding me.”
“No, of course not. You’re the only one that will let me.”
“You have to do something for me.”
“Fine.”
Gordon offers the file to Tim, so he takes it.
“Maria your girlfriend?” Gordon asks.
“Nah, she’s just a friend of mine. But she lives and works in a bad part of town, so I like to try to walk her home,” Jason answers. “She can handle herself, but I literally take out bad guys at least twice a week.”
“That didn’t work with Barbara,” Gordon says.
“Yeah, your fiercely independent daughter didn’t want your protection. Maria isn’t a fan of me feeling obligated to walk her home, but she likes that I like to walk her home. We get to talk.”
“Huh.”
“We’ve got a possible meeting of gangs?” Tim asks.
“That’s the thought. We have two officers over there you can meet,” Gordon says. “I want this dealt with tonight if you two can.”
“Will do, boss. I’ve got something to do at midnight,” Jason replies, “and Red’s got a date with Spoiler.”
“I already said that I’m not dating Spoiler,” Tim says. “You’re just telling people to get a rise out of me.”
“Maybe. We’ll come back when we’ve got something for you.”
“Just call,” Gordon replies. “I’m gonna be in a meeting and then two briefings for the rest of the night. If you really need anything from me, just call.”
“We will,” Tim says, then the two of them head towards the location in the file.
They get to the location and there’s an undercover cop car there, just like Gordon said there would be. Tim’s phone rings, so he looks at it.
“I need to take this. Can you get the info from the officers?” Tim asks.
“Yeah, of course,” Jason answers, “but it’ll cost you five dollars.”
“Shut up and go over there.”
“Whatever.”
Jason walks over and knocks on the window. He looks inside and nobody’s in the car.
“Weird,” Jason mutters. “Where did they go?”
“Red Hood?”
Jason turns and there’s an officer standing with two cups of coffee.
“Gordon sent me and Red Robin to help you guys with the incident,” Jason says. “Where’s the other officer?”
“He’s not in there?”
Jason shakes his head.
The officer quickly strides over and looks in the window. “Oh shit, where could he have gone?”
Jason shrugs, then turns in the direction to check on Tim. Tim’s not standing where he was a minute ago. Jason goes to look around when he feels a needle in the back of his neck.
“Nighty night.”
Jason swings his elbow and manages to hit the guy in the face with it before he passes out.
Tim wakes up to complete blackness.
“You’ve failed me,” Batman’s voice says.
“What?” Tim asks.
The scene around him turns from black to a full color image of the city in flames.
“What happened?” Tim asks.
“You failed, and we all paid for it.”
He sees his entire family, bleeding out while the villains are close by celebrating.
“No, no,” Tim says, shaking his head. “This can’t be real. I… we hold each other up. I can’t be the reason they’re dead.”
“The most pressure on you to succeed,” Cass says.
“The most pressure to get everything right,” Dick adds.
“It’s your fault we failed. Your plan went south and we paid the price for it,” Damian says.
Tim tries to calm himself down so he doesn’t hyperventilate, but the scene changes to the manor and Tim sees Jason sitting on the couch, reading a book. His blood is still pumping from the stress and anxiety, but he feels a small amount of comfort in the sight of his brother. Tim runs over.
“Jason!”
Jason doesn’t look up or acknowledge him.
“Jason?”
“I don’t want to be around you,” Jason says.
“Why?”
“Because who would want to? You’re annoying, uninteresting, and unable to hold a conversation.” Tim opens his mouth to argue, but Jason continues. “The only reason that Bruce took pity on you was because he was a basket case. If I hadn’t died, you wouldn’t be around. Not even Dick likes being around you, and he likes being around everyone.”
Tim can’t help the rage that floods him at that moment, especially hearing it from Jason. He was the only one around to help when everything was going up in flames, and any of them feel like they have the right to complain?
“You’re utterly useless, Drake,” Damian says, appearing out of thin air before Tim can get any farther in his thought process.
The world goes back to black as Tim tries to figure out what’s going on.
“Time for you to sleep now.”
Tim recognizes the voice and he searches for Mad Hatter. He feels himself starting to lose consciousness, but starts thrashing around when he feels something with a similar feeling to a mask being pulled over his face. He passes out without succeeding in getting the mask off.
Jason wakes up to complete darkness. He hears a familiar laugh that sends a chill up his spine. Jason struggles against the restraints, starting to hyperventilate. Joker comes into view with a bloody crowbar.
“Ready for round two, little bird?”
Jason breaks the restraints and throws a punch at Joker. It goes right through him and he starts laughing again.
“Batman’s favorite toy, how does it feel? You almost caused the downfall of Batman with your death. It must feel fantastic to know that you almost succeeded in your goal solely by getting your head bashed in and then inhaling a little smoke,” Joker says.
Jason throws another punch at him and it goes through him again. Jason gets his feet untied in enough time for the scene to disappear. Something knocks Jason off balance and he lands on his back. He blinks and when he opens his eyes, he’s lying down in a wooden box. Jason starts trying to bust the box but no matter how much force he uses, it doesn’t break.
He can feel the oxygen getting thinner. He’s panicking too much and while he knows it, he can’t seem to get his breathing to slow down. He can’t seem to stop panicking. No matter how hard he tries, he’s stuck in this coffin of dread. He squeezes his eyes closed.
“Dad!” he cries out, hoping that Bruce is right outside to save him.
“No father to save you. There never was,” Joker’s voice says. “You really think that Batsy ever loved a little screw-up like you? No, he only pretended to. His savior complex made him take pity on you.”
Jason shakes his head, refusing to believe it again.
“My dad loves me!”
Joker laughs, taunting and mocking Jason.
“Time for you to sleep now.”
Jason doesn’t recognize the voice and he searches for the person attached to it. He passes out as it feels something go over his face, like a mask.
Dick’s watching TV, waiting for Damian to call him to discuss the details of Damian spending the weekend with him. Currently he’s watching a rerun of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but he’s only half-watching it. The screen goes black, drawing Dick’s full attention back to it. The screen glitches, then shows a close-up of Scarecrow’s face. Dick sits up. The camera backs away from Scarecrow’s face enough that you can see more of him.
“Hello, Gotham,” Scarecrow says. “This isn’t for many of you, so feel free to ignore. Batman, on the other hand, we have your little birds.”
The camera moves to show Jason and Tim in full uniform, clearly in distress. They’re fighting hard against the restraints, but in a wild and restless way that Tim would never normally attempt to get out in. Dick gets and starts searching his coffee table for his phone. Right on cue, it rings.
He answers. “Hey, Dami. Are you watching right now?”
“I’m watching,” Damian answers. “Barbara’s trying to figure out where the signal’s coming from and Father’s getting suited up. I’m already suited up before you ask.”
“I’ll be there as fast as I can.”
“Thank you. Father’s panicking.”
“Yeah, I figured.”
Dick grabs his keys and rushes out of his apartment. He heads to his safehouse to change into costume then gets on his bike and makes a beeline for Wayne Manor. Once he hits city limits, his comm crackles.
“Grayson will be here when he gets here,” Damian says. “Nothing we’re going to say is gonna make him get here faster.”
“Hey, I’m at city limits,” Dick says.
“Hey, Nightwing,” Barbara replies. “I’m sending the location to your bike now.”
“Thanks, Oracle. How’s Batman?”
“I’m fine,” Bruce says gruffly. “I’m heading to the warehouse now. How long will it take for you to get there?”
Dick checks the location. “Five minutes. It’s closer to the city limit than I thought it would be.”
“We’ll meet you there. I’m here with Orphan and Robin. Spoiler’s out of town.”
“Alright.”
He gets there at the same time they do and runs over.
“Hey, what did the scan of the building indicate?” Dick asks.
“Four heat signatures and their trackers are still transmitting from inside,” Bruce answers. “Alright, remember that our top priority is getting them out. If one of them gets away, we can deal with it at a later point.”
Cass and Damian both nod. Dick notices Mad Hatter and Scarecrow leaving the building. Cass notices them too and looks towards Bruce for instructions. Tim and Jason jump down onto the roof and ready their weapons. Bruce nods at Cass, and she goes after Scarecrow and Mad Hatter while Jason and Tim attack the rest of the Bats. Tim viciously attacks Damian with his bo staff and Damian barely dodges.
“What the hell?” Damian asks.
“The masks belong to Mad Hatter,” Dick says, trying to grab Tim so he can get the mask off. “He’s probably controlling both Hood and Red.”
Tim grabs Dick’s wrist and flips him onto his back. Tim jams a batarang into Dick’s arm, pinning him to the roof in the process. Dick hisses and tries to figure out how to take it out without hurting himself worse. After watching Jason beating Bruce and Tim beating Damian for several minutes while trying to think, he finally just pulls it out as fast as he can and runs at Tim. Bruce can hold his own a little longer. Tim drives a hard kick to Dick’s shoulder, which was slightly injured in a battle earlier that week.
“Shit,” Dick mutters, grabbing his shoulder. “That hurt, bud.”
Tim swings his staff at him again and Dick grabs the other end. He uses the momentum to throw Tim on his back. Damian grabs the mask and rips it off.
Damian checks his pulse. “He’s alive. You should probably go help Father with Hood before he makes him cry.”
Dick looks up and the two are sparring.
“I knew that Hood could reasonably fight Batman but seeing it is something else,” Dick mutters, “but I’m gonna go help Batman.”
Damian nods and starts checking for injuries on Tim. Dick flips over to Jason and kicks him hard in the side of the head. Bruce rips the mask off and stomps on it repeatedly. Dick checks Jason’s pulse while Bruce finishes destroying the mask.
“His pulse is there. Little weak, but steady.”
“Good,” Bruce says. “Let’s get them home.”
Bruce watches his kids as they rest and recuperate. Cass is patching up Damian’s injuries while Dick is patching himself up. Bruce notices that Tim starts shaking. Before he has a chance to get up and get him another blanket, Tim wakes up and sits up, looking concerned.
“Hey, it’s okay. You’re home,” Bruce says.
Tim’s facial expression is flat and hard to read. Bruce notices that he seems concerned, but can’t tell about what exactly. He sees everybody and seems to ease a little, but still gets up.
“You should be resting,” Cass says.
“I’m gonna go rest in my room. I don’t… I don’t want to be here right now.”
“Hey, Tim,” Bruce says.
“I’ll talk to you tomorrow, Dad,” Tim says, rushing through the words, then hurriedly heads up back to the manor.
Jason wakes up not long after. He looks around but his fear and anger are completely visible to Bruce. He gets up to walk over and Jason seems to calm down a little, the anger seeming to disappear.
“Are you alright?” Bruce asks.
Jason opens his mouth, then closes it again. He thinks for a moment, then shrugs.
“I don’t want to talk about it… right now. I’ll talk to you when I feel up to it,” Jason says. “Does that work, Dad?”
Bruce puts a hand on Jason’s shoulder and nods. “Of course it does.”
Jason nods. “I’m gonna head upstairs and try to sleep off this migraine that’s hitting me.”
“Make sure to take something.”
“I will.”
Jason heads upstairs as Damian walks over to Bruce.
“How are you feeling, Damian?” Bruce asks.
“I’m fine,” Damian answers. “Cassandra stitched up my injury. I’m going to speak to Timothy if you don’t need anything else.”
“Go ahead.” Damian heads upstairs.
At least someone can get Tim to talk. If Damian can’t, I think I’ll talk Dick into trying.
Dick walks up. “Hey, you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Bruce says. “You?”
Dick sighs. “I don’t know. I don’t like fighting my siblings in such a setting. It hits the edge of that line I swore I’d never cross again. I’m physically fine, but they could have not been. Mad Hatter had them pushing us full strength. The strain that would have put on their brains…”
“I know. Don’t worry about that right now. Full brain scans show no signs of damage and we’re gonna keep up with scans until we’re completely in the clear. I won’t let anything happen to them without doing everything that I can to stop it,” Bruce promises.
Dick nods, then hugs Bruce. Bruce hugs him back and they stay like that until Dick’s phone starts ringing. Dick looks at it, then smiles.
“Hey, babe. What can I do for ya?” A pause. “I’m gonna take this outside, then probably head home.”
“Goodnight, Dick,” Bruce says.
“ ‘Night, Dad,” Dick replies, waving as he walks upstairs with his jacket.
Bruce heads upstairs after a little while and goes to his room. He leaves his door open a crack, a sign that the kids can come in if they need something, then gets in bed to get some much needed sleep.

Reactions to The Worst's Chapter 375
Brief summary: Hwa-in confirmed to be So Hee's disguise. HD and Hwa-in clash with one sword move.
==========
We got the answer to last chapter's question about Hwa-in and So Hee. So Hee was the youngest member of the Five-Colored Bloods, having recently joined them. She did not get along well with the others, with one colleague even threatening her while disguising said threats as "advice."
The Five-Colored Bloods assigned her to work with the Transparent Bloods, and in turn, the Transparent Bloods assigned her to find the AI who helped ARM, and to become the successor of the Lan Kingdom. Thus, with the Transparent Bloods's help, she became the NPC "Hwa-in".
In the tournament, she joined it twice. One in her original form as So Hee, and one in her NPC form, Hwa-in. Hence, my confusion. 😂 But her clash against HD accidentally revealed to everyone that Hwa-in = So Hee.
HD's fight was truly the classic murim fight. You know, how one move was always accompanied by lines of poetic descriptions and people's reactions to it? 😂 There was also long internal monologue of the protagonist about their identity.
In HD's case, it was something like:
Your sword can split mountains. But it cannot split the heavens. I am the heavens, the sky of the Demon Cult. I am Heavenly Demon. That is me. To call me arrogant is not just an insult to me. It is also an insult to the Demon Cult who view me as their sky. So this heaven will not bear this insult.
Oh yeah, HD finally used a sword in the fight, though it was a plain sword he bought from a blacksmith shop recently. And he revealed his crimson aura, which So Hee called as having the potential to be a unique power.
If you recall, humans in the ancient times could possess unique powers. But the divine race got jealous because it was similar to their power, so they banned humans from using it. Thus, unique powers came to be known as ancient powers now.
In their sword clash, So Hee had to use her own unique power to stop HD's attack. As a result, she suffered from internal injuries and ended up throwing away her disguise as Hwa-in, and revealing to everyone that she was actually So Hee.
And when she finally got mad and serious, HD was pleased, thinking it was fun. On the other hand, Cale had to stop CH from interfering in the fight when So Hee revealed herself.
Ending Remarks Today was the classic murim fight. Next chapter would be a continuation of the fight, but as HD vs So Hee and not as HD vs Hwa-in. This would be the first time we would see a wanderer fight, so I'm looking forward to it.

Luka knew that Marinette was Ladybug. Actually, he'd known for a while. What he didn't know was how long Marinette had known that he knew.
She didn't tell him so, but he saw it in how she reacted to him. She didn't feel as much need for excuses, often not saying anything before racing off as soon as there were signs of an akuma. He hadn't particularly done anything to dissuade the idea that he knew either, partly because it was true but also because he wasn't sure what to do with the information himself.
When he was certain she knew was a day on the Liberty where he'd found her idling on her phone. The other girls had headed up onto the deck, but Marinette had remained in the lounge room for whatever reason and he was genuinely curious about it.
"What are you doing?" he asked, stepping up to her and slipping his hands into his pockets.
"Luka!" She giggled innocently. "I didn't know you were here! You weren't playing anything."
"I was meditating," he said, though eyed her body language with suspicion. Her logic for not knowing he was around checked out, but he felt as if she wasn't telling the truth. He only ignored it because he couldn't figure out why she would lie about it.
"Oh. I'm just playing a new game that came out." She raised her phone as close to his face as she could.
He noted the main menu and the characters strewn about, recognizing them instantly as the superheroes that fought against akuma, such as Ladybug and even himself. He tilted his head to look past the phone at her, asking, "What's it about?"
She scooched to the side despite the already available space on the couch, then patted the spot where she'd been sitting. He wasn't a big fan of gaming himself, but he was a big fan of Marinette, so he sat in the spot she'd offered up and listened intently to her talk.
"You pick one character to start," she explained, indicating the various options on-screen, "and then the more levels you play, the more coins you get, and you can use it to buy upgrades or more characters."
"You buy characters?" He blinked.
She laughed, giving him a playful nudge in the arm. "You really don't play games, do you?"
His heart stuttered as she squished herself against him, allowing both of them a decent view of her phone. She tapped at the screen to proceed to the actual game and he tried very hard to focus on that and not the warmth to his side.
"It helps when you get a second character. You can pair them up and go on for longer since it's two instead of just one," she explained as she scrolled through various menus.
Luka also tried to not focus on the phrase 'pair them up,' which wasn't difficult at first, but then he saw the character selection screen and—
"Ladybug and Viperion," he noted.
"Hm~?" She stopped scrolling to point at the two. "Yeah, they're the pair I have."
"Only Ladybug and Viperion." That still wasn't a proper sentence, so he clarified, "You only have Ladybug and Viperion."
"Oh." She uttered it like she hadn't known when she definitely did. "Yeah? You only need two, so why should I waste my coins on anyone else when I could spend it upgrading the pair I have?"
He could think of multiple reasons. He wasn't sure how the game worked, but he imagined that the superheroes still had different powers and there were benefits depending on which two were paired up.
As if reading his mind, Marinette tapped the top edge of her phone to her chin and insisted, "Viperion's underrated. His power's not flashy, but it's really useful and he's perfect for someone like Ladybug."
His cheeks felt warm. What she was saying sounded like a casual observation of efficiency, but her voice was singing a different tune. The playful sparkle in her blue eyes as she peered up at him supported that.
"Really?" he asked quietly.
"Mhm~" She looked down at her phone again, then turned it to him to show the Ladybug and Viperion on the screen. "Their colors are even complementary. Don't they look good together?"
Never mind. His face felt hot. She even wiggled the phone at him, her smile shy but her gaze not leaving his as she waited for an answer.
Was this a punishment of sorts? Was he being tormented for not saying that he knew her identity? Was she really asking him such a thing when she already knew his feelings? Had she planned this, and that's why she was alone?
He opened his mouth, then decided he needed another second to think and cleared his throat instead. "Wouldn't that be up to them?"
It seemed like an obvious answer, but her smile widened further as if he'd passed a test. He didn't think she was actually testing him, but something of his did certainly feel tested: his sanity.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Marinette sighed, pulling away from him to slump against the backrest. Taking one more look at her phone and scrutinizing the image on the screen, she asked, "Do you think Viperion would be patient enough for someone like her?"
Caught off guard, he turned his body to better face her. "What?"
"For Ladybug. She must be busy since she's always dealing with akuma," she pointed out, waving a hand outwards, "so they wouldn't be able to date until she's dealt with Hawk Moth."
For a second, he thought she was continuing to tease him, but then it clicked for him what she was building to. She'd been playful, yet was using the conversation to tell him that they wouldn't be able to date.
Which meant that she reciprocated, something his brain was still scrambling to process, but she also felt like she couldn't act upon it due to Hawk Moth. Talking about Ladybug and Viperion as separate entities had been to keep things safe in case any of the girls returned while serving as a way of mentally distancing herself from it. It was an unpleasant realization to wrestle with against the delight of knowing that she felt the same as he did.
"I'm..." He reached over, slipping his hand over the one holding her phone. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind, no matter how busy she was."
To his confusion, she shook her head almost adamantly. He wondered if perhaps she was going to argue that 'Viperion' wouldn't mean it if he was to say such a thing, but she instead said, "I think Ladybug would want better for him than that; she'd want to be able to put herself into the relationship without Hawk Moth in the way." She stared at their hands on her phone with a soft smile. "Besides, I bet it'd be a motivator."
He leaned closer, noting how her voice had lowered in volume. "How?"
With a sheepish giggle, she replied, "Wouldn't Ladybug want to defeat Hawk Moth that much more if she knew the reward was getting to ask her future boyfriend out?"
His heart pounded, his hand on hers giving off a slight shake. What had started as a bit of joking around had grown into something more heartfelt and serious, with him suddenly wondering if Ladybug could use any of his input on how to best find out Hawk Moth's identity.
Chuckling affectionately yet with just as much longing as her, he promised, "If Ladybug is even half as amazing as he already thinks, Viperion will beat her to it when Hawk Moth's gone."

Trash kitties
Thinking about Kid Wade needing a rabies vaccine because he finally caught that "Trash kitty" that keeps dumping their trash cans out back but it bit the shit out of him.
"...Kitty? Ow.."
"Ow? Why ow bu- HOLY SHIT What did you do!?"
"... trash kittys is mean.."
"You were playing with the stray mama cat again? I told you that she-"
"Nooo. Not a kittycat. A trash kitty. They steal trash."
"A raccoon? Wher- whe- How the hell did you get ahold of a racoon!?? This is new york!! The racoons are bigger then most dogs!! No offense mary-"
The dog scoffs and walks off with her rat like tail up.
-----
So now- here they are- Sitting in the car infront of the doctors and Wade is dead silent, Clinging to Fluffy the Wolverine like his life depends on it, colorful bandaids all over him and his arm wrapped in gauze. What ever Wade do to this poor raccoon? It wasn't going without a fight. Logan only guesses that he was trying to bring the raccoon home but failed.
He takes a deep breath "Now, Wade? You need to behave in here. No hurting anyone, okay? They just wanna help."
He just turns to him with this big, terrified, teary eyes. "Is it gonna hurts!?"
"A tiny bit."
"A tiny bit..? How tiny?"
"Do you know when Puppy puts her nails on you? On accident? Cause puppys can't put their claws inside like kitty?" He says, calm and holding his hand.
Wade whimpers, sniffles and nods, and is absolutely afraid of the shot that was about to happen. "Yes.."
"Well? It hurts a tiny bit like that. And you have to be good. Got it? Give me your baby knife."
He looks at him, suspicious, scared and shocked. Kitty has never taken his baby knife from him before but hesitantly, slowly he hands it over, letting it over over Logans firm open hand, pulling it back to his chest defensively.
"Your gonna give it back?"
"Ill give it back. I pinky promise. But sometimes when you're scared you make bad choices with your baby knife."
"... is kitty gonna hurt let them me...?"
Logans heart shattered, because unfortunately the awnser was yes. But he had too. For Wade's own saftey.
"No, no! Well-... uugh.. yes? Just a little bit. And I'll be right there. Kitty has to get a shot, too. You know that? A-and if you're good, I'll give you ice cream!" He adds quickly, having seen the way wades eyes were flickering towards the door.
He would bolt if too scared. Especially without his knife. And he wouldn't be found until HE wanted to be found. It was one of Logan's biggest fears. To loose him because he runs off.
"Okay?"
"...okay"
-----
Coming out of the clinic, Wade is skipping, holding a small cherry sucker, Fluffy, And had a new hello kitty bandaid. "That didn't hurt a lot. Just a tiny like kitty says. GASSSP Kitty!! I did good!? I have ice creams now?"
Good.
Groaning, Logan too had a bandaid on his arm, exhausted from all the damage Wade just did. He was so strong. Holding him down that long the best he could was the only thing he could really do, especially with Wade screaming and begging him to let go. Emotionally, and Physically, he was done.
The word made Logan want to laugh in his face. Yeah, sure, if you called 2 broken noses, someone getting an unplanned rabies shot today, another kicked in the stomach and the doctor bit on the arm- then SURE. He was good.
"Look, whatever happens.. Just.. give him the damn booster. Got it? Oh, and gaurd your nose-"
"What?" Said the nurse, only for her nose to be ultimately broken by the end of today, and Logan had to plead with them not to call the police. Thankfully, she was sympathic and didn't, but the conversation stressed Logan out enough for the next 3 days.
"..sure kid.. you did good." He lies, needing a nap and maybe a benadryl. "Hey and no more trash kittys.. okay?"
This was the reality of taking care of Wade Wilson. Trash kitties. Baby knives. And Ice cream.

a sick day with atsuya

"Atsuya?"
You call into your quiet apartment as you shrug out of your coat, shed your boots, and hang your keys. You got off work after a slightly concerning text from your boyfriend. Usually a sparce texter, you didn't take notice something was wrong with his one word answers until he mentioned he was home from the school already.
"Kusa?" You try again, walking down the hall, heart racing slightly if this was some kind of sick practical joke or the worst really did happen and you were about to walk in on him dead on the floor with his tongue hanging out.
You approach the cracked door to your bedroom and push it cautiously, shoulders relaxing at the sight of your Atsuya, shirtless in his boxers, hairy chest and stomach to match in all his manly glory on display for your viewing pleasure with an arm covering his eyes, tissues, and a mangled box of NyQuil on the nightstand.
No doubt about it, your boyfriend was on the verge of death.
Well, at least that's what he would've lead you to believe with the inhuman groan that left his throat a moment later.
"Jus' kill me, it'll be less painful..." He grumbles, keeping his eyes closed.
"Oh, Kusa..." You shake your head and pout your lips sympathetically. "Baby's got the man flu?" You climb into bed next to him.
"Not the flu, doll." He grumbles. "Baby has a disease. The godforsaken black plague. This is the same shit that killed healthy strong young men like me back in the day."
"Ever the drama queen, my love." You kiss his stubbly jaw and he sighs a little. "Well, did you eat anything, drink water, perhaps?" You run tentative fingers carefully through his spiky dark tresses, taking note of his increased temperature.
"Nah. Didn't wanna wait for the goddamn noodles to heat up in the microwave."
"What the...Kusa! You're killing me." You shake your head. "No wonder you're knocking on death's door. We need to hydrate and get you fed immediately."
"Nnnggghhh."
"Chop, chop, mister, no exceptions."
-----
The apartment grew warm and cozy eventually as the freshly chopped vegetables stewed in the broth alongside the boiled chicken. Atsuya sat on a stool at the counter with a blanket around his shoulders with a large glass of water and a curly straw, gazing at you like the sun stopped and started with the breath you planted in his lungs.
Three hearty bowls of bubbling chicken noodle soup and a begrudging 32 oz of water later, color had returned to Kusakabe's face. He looked at you with weary, grateful eyes as you lay curled up next to him on the couch as your favorite show played, heart aching at the adorable sight of your cheeks and your hair squished against a pillow with your legs in his lap.
"Thanks for saving me, cutie."
"Mhmm, don't mention it...." You smile lazily and go back to watching, keenly aware of his hands that became a little more daring as they worked into a tantalizing massage on your thighs and hips.
"Atsuya..." You sleepily chastise him. "Thought you were too sick..." A breathy low chuckle as he leans over you, playfully nuzzling his face against yours.
"Yeah, I'm sick, doll, not on hospice..." he purrs suggestively, brushing his lips against yours "The day I turn you down for sex, just g'head and pull the plug..." He captures your lips in a soft peck. "'Cause I'm obviously not of sound mind..."
"Mmm...you might get lucky in the morning. I'm exhausted, sweetheart."
"Hehe, no worries, doll..." Kusakabe lets out a yawn, laying his head on your stomach as he feels himself also being pulled rapidly under the increasing spell of sleep.
"Haha, Atsuya Kusakabe, grade one sorcerer, is a formidable opponent against any and all curses, but let him catch a cold..."
"Hey, now..." Kusakabe murmurs. "This doesn't leave our apartment... S'far as everyone at the school is concerned, I'm still unstoppable... I'm only weak for you..." He pauses then drowsily hums, "Don't tell Panda."
"Mhmm...of course of course... your... *yawn* secret is safe with me, darling..." You manage to get out before you drift off to dreamland.
"Thanks, baby..." Before he follows right after you while holding you close to his chest.

November's Naughty and Nice Stories
Day 13: A Little TLC
Stan Pines x Reader fluff
*Does contain language, and some description of throwing up*
Sitting at the counter, staring at the clock, waiting for the day to just wrap up, Stan came up behind you, and scared you back to life.
"Waddaya think you're doin'!?? Loafin' around, gathering flies with that dead stare! Get wor- cough, cough, cough-" he began hacking up a storm, putting his hands on his knees, then trying to compose himself again.
"Uh, Stan, you aren't looking too great. Don't you think you might be getting sick?" you said, looking a little concerned, as his face looked pretty red from all the coughing.
"Ack," he said, clearing phlegm from his throat," I ain't got the time to be sick! I'm Mr. Mystery, and Mr. Mystery --" and he puked on the floor, and you jumped.
"Stan! Holy shit!" And you grabbed plastic bags from the counter, seeing him puke...pink glitter? You shook your head, and dropped in front of him, guiding him to heave in there instead.
"Stan, we need to at least get you upstairs to bed! I'll call Soos in a little bit, but I need you to lean on me, and throw up in the bag if you're gonna do it again!" And you could see his poor face was sweating and pale. You climbed the steps with him, as he kept talking and tried not to gag.
"Oh, babe... Y'know I'm good....I'm Mr. Mys-" he swallowed hard, and glanced at you. "Wow...You're strong....And really cute...I always think that shit, but... I figure....I figure...Blaaaa-" he went into the bag again.
The man was delirious. He is ill, and loopy, and yet, hitting on me. Huh, he's got balls, you thought. No, he's just sick. You pushed the thought out, and got him to his room. You got him plopped on the bed, and talked him through it. You were going to have to get most of that off him, and lay him on his side.
"Stan, I'm going to undress you, and get you down to your underwear or whatever. You need to cool down, and lay on your side after that. You could drown in puke this sick."
"Oooooo...Getting to third base....And you...haven't taken me to....dinner. Whatta naughty....thing."
"Yeah, whatever ya old pervert. Let's get this stuff off you," and you helped him along, like a doll.
The jacket, then dress shirt, then shoes, pants, and finally, after 15 minutes, the girdle. You popped his fez off, and he thankfully didn't vomit during the process. You laid him on his side, and found a bucket from the hallway, and got him a cold wash cloth. He shivered a little, but he had some color back in his face, but was still sweating.
"Alright, Stan, you look a little better, so I'm going downstairs, and I'm going to close up, and let Soos know you are sick, and, I don't know. I'll be right back."
He looked up at you, his eyes misty. "Thank you. Sorry, hon."
Huh, he was being polite, definitely delirious, but hey, a broken clock is right twice a day. "Stan, you're sick. I'm not going to just let you feel like this and be alone, sick as a dog." And you went downstairs.
You made calls to Soos and the local pharmacy, and went to town to grab meds, soup, another blanket, crackers, cat litter for the puke, and ginger ale. You got back, and he was sleeping, but he left a note in terrible handwriting.
Sooooorry I'm an asshole.
Xo. Xo
Stan
You had to laugh a little, the poor guy was just out of it. Probably something going around as the temperature dropped, along with some weird food he ate. You set everything down, got some ice for the ginger ale, then grabbed a blanket and pillow from the next room over, and propped yourself a little ways from him.
"Goodnight Stan...I'm here if you need me."
The next morning...
You woke up before Stan, and crept to him, feeling his head. No fever or sweating now. And he must have got some ginger ale in the night. It was half drank, so he was at least hydrated. He actually did look really sweet sleeping, and not smelling like puke. You snuck out, and called Soos, then made some soup with crackers on the side.
When you went back up, he was at least awake. He was rubbing his head and smiled weakly at you. "Hey, sweetie...."
"Hey Stan, how are you feeling today?"
"A bit better. The old gut just ain't up for handlin' the concoction Mabel left in the summer."
"The WHAT?" you said, confused and peeved.
"Well, I was thirsty, and ran outta Pitt in the fridge, so I may have took a few swigs...." he said nervously, as you pressed your fingers into the bridge of your nose.
"Stan Fucking Pines, that bottle of....I don't even know is...I don't know! You may as well have drank paint thinner! If you weren't so sick still, I'd slap you." And you were very tempted to actually do it.
"Oooooo, didya worry about me?" he said, swatting his eyes at you as you rolled them so far back you almost saw your brain. "You like me a little."
"Stan, you were delirious yesterday," you told him, your cheeks getting pink from his taunting. "I was trying to be nice and all, and there you go-"
"Ya know I remember, right? You're strong and cute. Is it a crime to say that, even if I'm a crook? I just wanted to let you know in case somethin' really was up," as he turned his head to the window.
"Oh. Well, I do like you too, a little more than like, but I still want to slap you."
And he turned and looked back at you with a shit eat grin. "Ooooooo, I might like it, babe."

a/n: i think abt matt and karen's date in that restaurant all the time. such a perfect scene! i wanted to capture that energy. i've always wanted to write a matt x librarian! oc fic. but times are tough and i can never commit to things lol. here's a snippet of what could have been. also, i am not from new hampshire. but oh my god, how pretty!!!!! im jealous.
warning: matt murdock x librarian! oc
matt didn't think his night could go any better. in front of him, he's got the most beautiful girl of his dreams. she told him that he is wearing a white cardigan and light blue dress, the fabric reaches the ground. she told him that the kids from the library tell her it reminds them of when the sky is clear of clouds, only sunny and blue.
matt takes a sip of his wine. "you got family in new york?"
"no," she shakes her head, taking a sip of her water (when he first asked her out, he wanted to take her to drinks. but marianne has sworn off drinking for life). "moved here three years ago."
matt's eyebrows raised. matt realized just how little he knew about her, despite how marianne was the common thread in nelson & murdock. "where are you from?"
"new hampshire." said marianne, a small smile peaking through her, like the first ray of sunshine. "it's beautiful there, so much color and life."
"god, it's hard to describe it," she said. matt loved how she described things, down to its smallest details. she talks in such a cadence akin to deep flowing rivers to morning birds. she can make her grocery list sound like a love poem. "it's hard to capture that beauty... sense of awe at the life around you, you know?"
matt smiled, so hard his cheeks started to hurt. he was sure he'd grow smile lines by the time he's forty if he keeps this up. maybe it was worth it. for marianne. "yeah," he muttered, almost lost in a trance.
"why'd you come to new york, then?" he's genuinely curious, his head titled to the side. "i mean, you make new hampshire seem like another planet next to New York."
marianne laughs, a giddy and joyous thing. "new hampshire's home. but new york, it never leaves you know? even with the grim and grit, there's something or someone that just makes you want to stay. when I interned here in hell's kitchen, the only thing that kept me moving was the kids. story times, their little faces, their constant questions. all of it. it gave me purpose."
matt hears marianne's heart race, the kind that spoke to one's sense of passion. it was almost melodic, the rapid yet enchanting rhythm of muscle.
"nobody truly understands that they're the future," said marianne. "our future. i want to give something to them, something irreplaceable."
"like reading?"
"yeah," she sighs, like talking about the children of hell's kitchen filled her with such fervor, she couldn't contain it. "exactly."
"but working with the best lawyers in new york is a definitely a bonus," she adds, holding up her glass of water, the ice swirling against the glass.
marianne narrates what she's about to do, matt chuckles as he does the same, their glasses clinking.
"what about you?" marianne rested her head on her hand, her heartbeat starting to race as she met his eyes. though their gaze would never be able to meet, his dark gaze became her favorite shade of brown. it wasn't like hers, like earth's dirt in new hampshire's wilderness-- it was gold, shining like embers.
"me?" matt raised his eyebrows.
"yeah," she says, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, her vegan samosas long gone by now. "what made you want to be an attorney?"
"it was my father really," said matt. "he was a boxer. . . caught up with the wrong people. and when i was nine, he died. i tried giving him justice, but no luck. i guess i just don't want any nine year old matt's to feel the same way i did."
"like what?"
"helpless."
marianne's gaze softened. "you're a good man, matt."
"i think you are good, too, marianne," says matt. "better than me."
and he meant it. for years when darning the suit of daredevil, he feels as if there is a twisted part of him taking over his soul. every punch felt one step closer to that. being matt murdock, keeps him grounded-- but that wouldn't be possible without foggy, or karen, or marianne.
marianne seems like she doesn't have to try. she is effortlessly good and pure. and maybe there is a twisted side to her that she hasn't shown to him. but he's hanging out the hope that this is who she truly is. a person who is kind and good at her core, even if she had to eat through the rotten parts of herself. maybe that's what makes her truly good.
#matt murdock#daredevil#matt murdock x reader#matt murdock x oc#daredevil x reader#matt murdock fluff#also if you know anything abt me#marianne is my placeholder name for everything lmao#its a sweet name what can i say!#i know ppl hate oc fics here but idc </3

a year ↪obey me! satan x gn! reader︱one shot ↪tags: sfw, fluff, nightbringer era, ~700 words ↪notes: satan finds you working on your scrapbook.
"What are you up to?"
Satan curiously glanced at the mess of brightly colored, multi-patterned paper scattered across the table in your room. Neon markers and various sheets of stickers, tape, and photographs surrounded you as you held a gluestick ready to glue your next paper victim ; he had only come to drop off a book he borrowed.
“Hm? Oh! It's the end of the month again, so I’m continuing the work on my scrapbook. Although, it looks like it's the last few pages for this year. Wanna take a look!?” With glitter and tape covered fingers, you waved him over to the seat next to you.
He hesitated for a moment but accepted the invitation and sat down, placing the borrowed book on the table.
“I only came by to return the book I borrowed, it was a…surprisingly wonderful read. I was not expecting such an ending but I did find it fitting.”
“Thanks, I knew you’d like it! But we can discuss it later, look at this!” You closed the scrapbook and held it up to him so he could read the front, A Year In The Devildom.
“So you've been working on that all year?”
“Yep! I start a new scrapbook every year. As much as I love living in the moment,” Satan watched as you delicately touch the cover, “I do appreciate capturing those moments and putting them somewhere special. It's therapeutic for me, I love reminiscing the good times. And this year is extra special…being in the Devildom has been life changing.”
You hug the book to your chest and then plop it down onto the table, flipping to the first page. A photo of a disastrous dinner gone wrong featuring all of the brothers fighting while you took a selfie among the chaos.
“I took that the first week I was here. I didn't know it'd be a reoccurring thing!” You laughed to yourself and continued flipping through the book.
All the pages were filled from top to bottom with vibrant colors, small drawings and stickers, and almost too many photos of the brothers, RAD, and the other exchange students. Little moments like Belphie snoozing at the table and Beel eating off his plate. Mammon getting tied up and hung as punishment. Satan smiling while petting a stray —
“When did you take that one!?” He asked in disbelief, embarrassed to have been caught at such a moment.
“Oh um…I was out with Simeon and Luke on an errand, you were having so much fun and I couldn't resist snapping a photo. Especially since you were so moody back then…” You trailed off and sheepishly looked away.
Satan furrowed his brows, “What do you mean?”
You quickly turned your head back towards him, “Well, when I first came here, you hated everyone and everything.”
You flipped to the next page, “You've changed a lot in the last year you know. Look.”
Satan watched as you continued to flip through the pages; many of the earlier photos showing either a scowl or bored look on his face. He never realized how he kept his distance from everyone in the photos, but as you kept turning the pages more and more towards the end of the book, he became more in focus, closer to everyone. Previous scowls turned to smiles and laughter. Especially in the ones that included you.
“Do you see it now?”
“Yeah.”
It was only until now that he realized how much you've changed him and he couldn't believe it took a scrapbook to see it. Or maybe he always knew deep down, he just couldn't face the fact that you changed him in such a short amount of time.
You flipped to the next page, half-finished.
“I was actually working on this page before you came in, do you want to help me?” You reach beside you and flip a photo over. A candid photo taken by Asmo, of you and Satan walking and chatting in the RAD courtyard; eyes shining bright and laughing.
Satan nodded with a gentle smile,
“Yeah, I'd like that.”

george russell x reader | 1.8k
you get in a car crash. a very handsome and very familiar man stops to help.
cw: fem!reader, car crash, blood, minor injuries. george is the star, alex in the background because he's a sweetie. hospitals and some flirting. short and sweet!
a/n: first time trying him out, but any excuse to write george saying blimey. --
Later, you'll be able to recall it in flashes.
The empty road, the voice telling you which way to go slightly patchy due to weak signal. The setting sun coloring the sky a brilliant pink, a sense that you might be lost. Waiting for the light to turn green, not a car in sight. It does, and you ease your way through the crossroads. Then -- an awful sound, spinning, closing your eyes and bracing yourself. A sharp pain, no air in your lungs, an eerie silence and then the squeal of tires.
In the moment, it takes you a few breaths to figure out what's happened. One thing at a time, you think. Wiggle toes -- check. Fingers? Check. You can see that the airbag has deployed, which explains the soreness of your chest but it doesn't hurt to breathe. Slowly, you unbuckle your seatbelt and notice that there's blood down the front of your shirt.
"Fuck," you mutter. Your forehead is tacky with it and you wince. Your neck feels a bit stiff and when you turn your head to the side too quickly your vision swims. "Oh, god."
A few moments to rest, then. You need to find your phone and call for help. The sun is almost down and there are no cars back here -- how on earth did someone hit you and drive away?
The longer you sit there the more your head starts to pound. A whisper says you shouldn't fall asleep because -- why? You can't find the word. What were you meant to be doing? Oh, your phone. Where is it? You don't see it by the gear shift, maybe it fell under the seat. God, bending over sends a rush of blood that has you groaning. Plan B. Sit here a little longer.
You're trying valiantly to keep your eyes open when you hear it -- an engine. It gets closer and closer and you expect it to pass you by but the car comes to an abrupt stop and someone gets out.
"Call 999!" they shout. Sounds like a man. "Blimey, there's blood on the window."
A shape appears and the car door opens and there stands -- a man. A tall man. He crouches down so you can see his face. Big blue eyes and a square jaw, pieces of fringe curling over his forehead. Pretty, your bruised brain supplies.
"Hello," he says gently. "Are you alright?"
"Where did you come from?" you ask. His features swim a bit but something is nagging at you. "I think I know you."
His brows furrow. "Alex," he calls behind him. "Are they coming?"
"Yeah," someone shouts back. "They're asking how she is."
The man's attention returns to you. "I'm George, and that's Alex. We're going to help you, okay?" You grunt an assent. "Now, I'm not a doctor," he says, "but do you think you can tell me where you're hurt?"
You try to focus. "I don't think anything is broken. But my head --" You reach for your forehead again but George catches your wrist with long fingers before you can.
"Think you hit it on the window," he explains. "Best not to touch it. Bit of a nasty cut."
Suddenly, you're desperate to get out of the car. "Can you -- I need to --" You tug at the seatbelt.
"George," the other man calls. Alex.
"Concussion," George says. "I think. Mate, I don't know. She's not slurring, but she's confused."
He reaches over you and unbuckles the seatbelt. You swing your legs out of the car and try to stand up. George quickly grabs your hands as you sway.
"Woah," he says. "Are you sure you want to --"
This close it's apparent how tall he is and recognition sparks once again. "I swear I know you from somewhere," you repeat, but it comes out as a croak.
"Do you?" he says lightly. "Alex, can I have the water bottle?"
You close your eyes and take a deep breath, trying to focus. Fuck, your head hurts. It's like the ability to think clearly has simply left you.
"Yeah, you --," you look at him again. He's got a plastic bottle in one hand now, black with a teal wording on it that you recognize. "You...drive cars."
"Well done," George says, smiling. "Do you want some of this?" He hands it to you when you nod and you take slow sips. He keeps a hand lightly on your elbow.
Something occurs to you. "You didn't hit me, did you?" You're pretty sure he didn't but everything is so muddled.
"No," he says, firmly. "No, I promise I didn't." He gently turns you so you're facing the car. It's not a pretty sight. "I think some wanker clipped you at the rear and send you spinning into the pole."
The driver's side tail light is totally shattered and you see that he's right -- the light pole is firmly lodged into the passenger side door.
"Fuck," you whisper. "Where's the other car?" you ask. You know this, you think, but can't put the pieces together.
George lets out an angry huff. "Drove away, looks like."
You frown. "Well, that's not very nice." Your head pounds again and you groan. "I think I need to --"
"Woah, woah," George says. "Let's sit down."
He guides you to his car and helps you down into the passenger seat. You keep your feet firmly on the ground and take more sips of his water.
"What's your name?" he asks, crouching down to speak to you. He's so tall you're almost eye level. "Can you remember that?"
"I'm not that bad off," you scoff, and tell him. "And you --" The piece slots into place. "You're George Russell."
He grins at you. "I'm flattered," he says. "How's the head?"
You press your eyes closed tight. "Hurts," you say. "Am I still bleeding?"
"Not terribly," he replies. "It'll be alright. I think I hear --"
The siren hits your ears, cutting him off. "That's loud," you mutter. George squeezes your knee and stands.
He takes a step towards your ruined car. "Where are you going?" you ask. It sounds like a whine but you can't find it in you to care.
"Just going to get your things," he says lightly. "So you have them in hospital."
"Oh," you breathe. You allow him to walk across the road and lean into your car, searching for your stuff. He manages to find your phone and sets your purse at your feet just as the ambulance pulls up, siren blessedly off.
You look up at George. "Thank you," you say. "Thank you so much --"
He waves you off. "Please," he says. "Listen, I've put my contact in your phone, and I'll get your car sorted, alright?"
"Are you --" Before you can ask him more, the paramedics take over. You're asked questions, given a few quick tests, while George speaks to one of them off to the side. They load you into the back of the ambulance.
"I'll see you later, okay?" he calls. You just nod and lean back on the bed. The doors are shut and you're on your way.
"Nice bloke," one of the paramedics says. "Never met him before. More of a Red Bull man, myself, but glad he was decent. Do you know him?"
You blink. It's very bright in here. "No," you say. "No, he just stopped to help."
"See?" the man says again. "Decent sort. Now, if he could just get a decent racing car --"
__
Since George gave you your stuff, you manage to call the necessary people to tell them what's happened.
"Few bruises tomorrow," the nurse tells you. She's cleaned your forehead and butterfly bandaged it. "But no stitches. You're a lucky one. Now, that blow to your head isn't too bad, but do try to take it easy. Nothing more than some walks and stay off your phone and TV if you can help it for a week or so."
You nod, thankful for the painkillers she's had you swallow. The throbbing has dulled and you can think a little more clearly.
"Now, last thing," she says. Is she...smirking at you? "You said you've got a ride, but there's a very handsome man waiting for you, too."
"What?" you say. You've called a friend and she's going to pick you up but...is George here?
The nurse taps her nose and tells you you're free to go.
You slowly walk back to the waiting room, unsure of what you'll find. But as soon as you're through the doors, you hear your name.
George unfolds himself from one of the chairs and you meet in the middle. You really thought he'd just call, or something, to tell you about the car. But he's here.
"There you are," he says, as though you've been parted for eons. "I wanted to make sure you're alright."
"I'm alright," you tell him. He smiles and takes a step towards you, eyes on your forehead.
"That doesn't look too bad now," he says. "Shame about your shirt, though." His hand hovers in the air near your face like he wants to touch you, but he doesn't.
He's right about your shirt -- it's a lost cause. Collar soaked in blood and the front looking like you were an extra in a horror movie.
You shrug. "Not how I thought my day would go."
George winces. "I'd imagine not," he says. "Listen, I've sorted the car. A tow company has it and I'll send you their information. It's a bit of a lost cause, the bloke said, but I've given them your name and number and if you call your insurance --"
You put a hand on his arm. He's warm through the fabric of his sweater. He stops speaking immediately.
"George," you say, softly. "Thank you." He blinks at you, eyes remarkably blue, before he gives you an easy smile.
"Of course," he says. "I'm just glad we came along."
"Me too." You let him go and swallow.
"Do you need a ride?" he says, suddenly. "Alex has just gone to get petrol but he'll be back and we can take you anywhere you need to go."
Your chest tightens with regret. Objectively unnecessary, since you don't know this very famous man, but you wish you could say yes all the same.
"I've called my friend, actually," you say gingerly. "She's coming to get me."
"Good." George runs a hand through his hair, that brown fringe falling over his forehead the way it did when he crouched next to you back at the accident scene. "Good, I'm glad."
Today has been wild, absolutely the last thing you expected. A car crash, meeting this man, ending up in hospital. It occurs to you that anything is possible. You're lucky the crash wasn't worse, and maybe that spurs you to say it.
"I'd love to thank you for today," you say to him, shoulders square. You make yourself look him in the eye. "Alex, too. Lunch, maybe? Once I'm over this concussion?"
You've surprised him, if his expression is anything to go by. Then he grins. "Yes," he says. "I'd love that." His grin shifts into a smirk. "Alex might be busy, though."
You grin back. "Is that so? Too bad."

The Psycho
Flight alternative
Lando Norris Fanfic
⚠️Warnings: blood, decapitation, killing
On Thursday, October 12, 2023. A fit 24-year-old British man with curly brown hair, grey hazel eyes, and tan skin. Wearing a dark green hoodie with the number 4 in yellow, blue jeans, and black Converse shoes. A papaya and black-colored Mclaren drove smoothly through the road surrounded by the fall season forest.
He was tapping his finger on the wheel and humming to the music playing on the radio. The music was then interrupted by a call.
“Hey Lando, how’s the drive to the hotel?” A male British accent voice asked. “Hey Max, It’s going great … I’m almost at the hotel in about 5 minutes … I’ll call you back when I get there … Bye,” Lando then ended the call.
When he got there, he parked in front of the hotel. It was getting dark and windy. “Well, here we are,” he muttered to himself. He got out of the car and opened the trunk to get his backpack. Thunder started to erupt with the dark, windy sky. This sent Lando into a fright, giving him goosebumps on his skin.
He closed the trunk and put his backpack over his shoulders. He went inside the hotel, to be greeted by two customers and a worker. The two female customers were yapping about something, minding their own business. One of the female customers was a brunette, the other was a blonde.
Lando went up to the receptionist to book a room for himself. “Um, excuse me, can I book a room, Please,” Lando asked. “Well, certainly.” The male receptionist replied. He was pale like he hadn’t been outside for his lifetime. He was thin with wavy dark hair and had blue eyes. ‘This place gives me the creeps’ Lando thought to himself while looking around the lobby floor.
“Okay then, I will need your name, please.” the receptionist stated “Lando Norris,” Lando replied to the receptionist. He saw the name tag of the receptionist’s name, Larry Ravenswood. “Well, here you go Mr. Norris,” Larry then gave Lando the key to his room, room 217. Lando walked toward the stairs to get to his room.
The two lady customers looked at Lando with recognition. “Oh my god, it’s Lando Norris,” the blond girl said with excitement. “You are totally right, McLaren’s infamous Formula 1 driver,” the brunette taunted.
Both girls started to fangirl about him. Larry on the other hand didn’t show it but, his eyes showed that he was annoyed. He could tell that Lando looked tired and that he wanted to go to his room to rest.
Larry interrupted the conversation that both of the ladies were having with Lando. He cleared his throat and said, “Excuse me, but I think Mr. Norris needs to go to his room because he seems a bit tired.” in a sharp motionless voice. Both women pouted and scoffed at Larry for interrupting the conversation.
“Well, then, I’ll take my leave.” Lando nodded at the ladies nervously because he did not want to speak with them again. Then he looked at Larry and thanked him.
Lando went upstairs to his room to rest for tomorrow. When he got to room 217, he opened the door and went inside, closing the door behind him, and locking it. He leaned against the door and breathed a sigh of relief.
He walks through the small hallway to see the king-sized bed. On the right side, there was a door that led to the bathroom, in front of it there was a television, and on the left corner next to the television was a table with two chairs.
He placed his backpack on the bed and took his shoes off. “I should call Max that I’m at the hotel,” He says to himself. He grabs his phone from his pocket and dials his best friend's number.
“Hello? Hey, Max how are you… I'm doing great… Yeah just got my room, but this hotel doesn’t feel right… It's like giving me the heebie-jeebies, but all in all, I'm still alive… Yea, I should get some rest… It’s 10:00 pm here… Well, then goodnight.” With that Lando ended the call between him and his best friend, Max Fewtell.
Lando opens his backpack to grab a pair of sweatpants. He went to the bathroom to change. Once out of the bathroom, he gets ready for bed. But then he hears footsteps walking by his door, through the hallway outside of his room.
Lando went to check what was going on outside of his room.
He checked the peephole, but there was nothing. He opens the door to see the hallway was empty.
He closes the door and locks it. “That was weird,” he mumbles to himself. Then he goes back to bed, turning off the lamp and pulling the bed covers over his head. He closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep, deafening the sounds surrounding him.
3:00 am, Friday, October 13, 2023. Lando’s sleep was disturbed by a loud, sharp, piercing cry.
He bolted out of his bed, with his heart racing in fear. He stared at the door, taking in a few deep breaths trying to calm his heart down. He went and grabbed his shoes, put them on, and quickly rushed out the door to see where the scream came from.
He ran through the long hallway until he got to the staircase. He slowed down, seeing droplets of a strange red liquid on the stairs leading to the lobby floor.
Lando went downstairs to the lobby following the red liquid to a ballroom that was still under construction. He kept on following the trailers of red liquid until it stopped at a slightly opened white double door. He moved the door wide enough to see what was inside.
There were candles around lighting up the room, there was blood all over the floor, and there was a chair right in the center. On the bloodied floor, there were body parts in different directions on the floor covered in blood. The insides were smeared on the floor, everywhere. And on the chair, there was the decapitated head of the blonde chick he saw in the lobby with her mouth wide open, as if she were in shock, face covered in blood.
Lando’s heart raced uncontrollably, thudding in his chest so hard he could feel it echoing in his ears. His face drained of color, leaving his skin ghostly pale, while his eyes widened in shock, pupils dilating as they locked onto the horrifying sight. He was frozen in place, sweat falling on his face.
What caught his attention was muffled noises coming from the room next door. He went up to the door and creaked the door slightly open.
He saw the brunette lady on a chair tied up, her mouth covered in duct tape. Tears fell from her eyes with panic on her face. She was looking at something or someone. A figure came out of the shadows with a bloodied knife in their right hand, swiftly moving it from left to right, as if they were taunting the woman.
She started to hysterically cry. “You two wouldn’t keep your damn mouths shut!” A familiar voice that Lando recognized said. The figure went behind the brunette, placing the sharp knife near her cheek. The figure was none other than the receptionist, Larry Ravenswood.
“Look at what happened to your friend and you know what, that will also happen to you. The reason why I’m doing this is because I want to,” Larry says menacingly in a low voice. He crouched down in front of her, knife on her chin, pouting his lips, as if he were poking the woman on the chair for fun.
“Well then, bye-bye”, Larry motionless declared. Cutting the throat of the brunette girl. Muffled cries of pain cried through the tape on her mouth, later the cries died down. Blood was dripping out of the dead brunette’s throat. Her eyes were still open with no emotion in them, her face drained from its colors declaring that she died from blood loss.
Lando quietly gasped. He backed away from the door, tears forming from his eyes. He put his hand over his mouth to prevent any noise. Listening to Larry Ravenswood cutting up the brunette woman with the bloody knife.
He witnessed something horrific. He shouldn’t have seen this, he should’ve minded his own business, but he was curious. Curiosity kills the cat.
Lando to a few deep breaths, then ran back to his room quietly. Once there, he opens his door and rushes in, closing it shut and locking it. Leaning his back on the door, Lando slid down taking deep breaths and trying to calm himself done. His heart beating rapidly. Tears falling from his eyes. He got up from the floor and walked to the bed.
He took his shoes off and went under the covers. Lying down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn’t sleep… he just couldn’t… It just keeps flashing in his mind… Why did he run?... Just Why?
In the Morning, Lando packed all his things in his backpack. He exited out of his room, going down the stairs to the lobby floor. On the lobby floor, he went straight to the receptionist to check in his room.
“I would like to check in my room, please,” Lando shakenly said giving the key to the female receptionist. “Okay then, Name please,” the female receptionist answered. “Lando Norris.” He responded to the receptionist. She typed on the computer to check in the room, “That would be $221, Cash or card?” the receptionist offered. “Uhm, card please,” Lando stated giving the receptionist his card to pay.
The receptionist gave Lando his card back after putting in the information to pay for the room. “Here you go, we hope you like your stay,” the female receptionist added with a sweet smile. “Thank you,” Lando uttered leaving the hotel and going to his car.
Once he got to his car, he opened the trunk, tossed his backpack in, and closed it. He then went to the front door of his car, opening the door, and getting inside. Sitting down He took a few deep breaths, calming himself down from what he just witnessed at night. He turned on the car and started to drive the morning fall-season forest.
“I really need therapy after this,” Lando mumbled to himself driving through the road surrounded by the forest

Teaser Tuesday
buck/tommy, a 23 and me snippet from @liminalmemories21 and me…just because I really like it? And whatever, it’s jossed but I still want to figure out the end of this.
+++++++
Jee squirms in his arms, protesting the way he’s gone stiff and still. He puts her down behind him, half turns to tell her, “Go find Uncle Tommy, help him with dinner. I’ll be right there, okay.”
She gives him a suspicious look, like he’s conning her, and he wills her just this once to not ask questions, and holds his breath until she runs down the hallway, and then steps outside, closing the door behind him, putting himself between this stranger and his family inside.
“Who did you say you were?”
The guy looks a little taken aback. “Oh, umm, I don’t think I actually got that far. Sorry, that was stupid of me. I’m Jason.” He squints. “I think Madeline,” corrects himself, “Maddie? Is my cousin? I tried to contact her but I couldn’t find her number or email address.”
Buck knows he's giving away the game, should ask, how did you find this address, or something else but instead he raises his eyebrows, asks, “So you decided to show up on her doorstep instead?”
The guy actually takes a step back at the bite in Buck’s tone. “Umm, sorry, yeah, no, I can see how that’s weird. Just,” he holds out his phone. “I have this picture of her?” Buck takes it reflexively, has to force himself to take his eyes off this guy long enough to look at the picture. It's definitely Maddie. Younger than he thinks he's ever seen her, which makes sense, because she's holding Daniel.
He hands the phone back to Jason, who looks at Buck, and then at the phone, “You must be Daniel.” He looks delighted. But Buck can feel the color drain from his face, and his fingers are cold, and the door is the only thing holding him up.

was talking in the hs8c discord a8out whether this would 8e heroic or not. someone 8rought up that it could 8e just 8ecause of jades homewrecking which yeah i 8elieve. also the w8y she was trying to manipul8 the narrative could 8e seen as just. sad day for me i wanted candy jade and ult dirk to talk theyre 8oth so thematically simil8r
the sweat is interesting. does she know jade is dead? pro8a8ly. does she regret it?
may8e. most likely not
another 8anger as usual i love hs8cs artstyle
this shot is pretty interesting to me. is that the 8ell tower where dirk died? why is it glowing white? is cave the point under it too or is the 8attermaid using it as a vessel for the 8eam? lots of thoughts
yiffy and tavvy are not dead that's all i know for sure. they would not die they're too important
i really thought the flash would end act 1 8ut this is cool as fuck too
W8?????
these fucking pages loaded l8 for me oh my god. hs union you rascals
gavageCunctation [GC] began negging adamantGriftress [AG] 801 MINUTES AGO.
ayyyy its a deltrit8n. delta detritus hey did you know detritus means trash 8ecause for the longest time i didnt and now i feel stupid
801 minutes = 13 something hours. that's many imo 8ut you do you hs8c
this guy's really interesting. i think the delta kids (petition to call them that) are going to 8e 8ased on 2020s internet tropes. gc seems to 8e 8ased on a tum8lr user of some sort.
GC: if i'm being honest we cooked hard with this GC: haha... tag that shit i'm fussing... GC: AA (that's oomf)
my proof for the a8ove st8ment 8ut also this reads like a millenial desper8ly trying to speak like a gen z/alpha kid (which i guess it is). i cant tell whether "i'm fussing" is aave or not
i'm curious though how did they get vrissys handle?
gavageCunctation's [GC'S] computer exploded.
L + r8io
gc defo has a crush on vrissy which is funny as fuck to me. go girl 8r8k up with your technically uncle gc is right there!!! you can do 8etter!!!
aa seems interesting i get the feeling they're pro8a8ly in contact with ultrose or at least that sort of rose-rezi stand in of the session due to how it seems like they have some sort of seer a8ilities
GC: um anyway she's like an oracle... GC: except she's not an oracle. GC: she's some other shit...
you guys get what i mean? oh aa could 8e like jade too as in they could 8e awake on prospit and thats why they know all this stuff
GC: yet i still stay up to my buccal mass
