It was a fic that was intended to flip a genre on it's head, and it's fascinating to me that it became a genre of its own. Splendidly written and is the cause of 99% of my confusion during my return to the fandom because all of a sudden there were a buncha anti-harems and I was like WTF ARE THESE jkdhfgkjdfk,,

I went into it intending to find out the history behind anti-harems, and then got sucked in completely. You can guess the general premise, but MAN does plot hit hard!!!!!!

Takes a deep breath. Ok so, I debated adding this fic. Not because I don't like it, but because I haven't actual read this in years, so I don't know how it stands up to the test of time.

I don't usually like adding fics that I can't certifiably recommend, but I also feel like if you haven't read this, you haven't Really experienced Undertale reader inserts. It's like. a classic.

I still remember vividly cringing from secondhand embarrassment SO many times while reading BUT I wouldn't trade in that experience for anything- I fucking loved this fic. It was wonderful and terrible and so incredibly fun, and honestly I kinda don't want to reread it so I can keep it in the shiny veneer of nostalgia forever.

Uhhhh, I don't actually have a good segue for this, but this one also has really complicated relationships. There is a happy ending! It's a fucking rollercoaster to get there though.

It's kinda in the same vein as The Party Incident for me, I consider it a classic, and it's also... very 2016/17. Take that how you will. I don't know if I'd recommend this fic, but I definitely think you should read it, if you know what I mean. I'm VERY fond of it despite my extremely conflicted emotions. It's definitely not for everyone though.

Oh, also it has the most fucked up form of skeleton reproduction ever <3 That's okay though, because it results in one of my favourite fankids ever. I'm love my boyyy Impact ;w;!!!!

The reader in this is terrible and I'm fascinated. I like reading about characters being antagonistic towards each other sometimes, so I really enjoyed this and I wanna see where the author takes this. Make sure to read the tags.

This one... the reader in this kinda sucks too jhsfjkdf but in a different way. Once again fascinating as hell!!! Drunk, gay, in denial and homophobic, this reader is NOT having a great time.

:] *points vigourously at the warning* The smut is a pretty ingrained part once it gets to it, but I couldn't NOT add this fic.

Anyway I'm a little obsessed with this fic. There's a skeleton reader, who's a necromancer! The skeletons are thought to be gods, but actually they got isekai'd! It's a WILD RIDE and it's surprisingly good??? It feels like one of those webtoons or manga that you look at the cover/summary for and go *??????* at, but then you start reading it and go "OH, THIS IS REALLY FUN ACTUALLY."

There's pretty intense language barriers between the skeletons and the reader for a lot of the fic, but I love that sorta stuff, so that just makes it better for me lol. I adore the dynamics between the characters, they feel so diametrically opposed sometimes it's great.

Oh this one!!! Should probably actually go under misc but it's okay. This fic asks the question of: What if there was a MASSIVE multiversal mashup and some of the residents shared an apartment building where they now live completely normal domestic lives?

It's got /Reader stuff as well as a fun selection of Sanscest and platonic roommate content, and each chapter is semi-self contained and really fun.

—it’s a lost cause. Kris makes it three times around his hotel room in wide, quick strides to try to temper the wild energy swirling in his chest. He’s just about to start a fourth lap when two unassumingly raps sound through the room, loud in the quiet. Kris instantly changes course, opening the door as hard as the automatic hinges will let him.

Karl’s smirk is as wide as ever, his eyes bright with amusement as he flicks a few damp strands of hair from his face, wet, still, from the second shower he always takes before bed, not satisfied with the cursory one in the locker room. That’s something Kris knows, now. He knows lots of things about Karl. He knows Karl’s pregame routine and his favorite rote phrases for interviews and exactly where he likes a pass for his slap shot. He knows Karl’s go-to room service order and the shit TV he likes and his favorite emojis. He knows what Karl looks like on his knees, what he sounds like when he comes, what his breath feels like against Kris’s neck as he falls asleep.

Right now, Kris knows Karl is about to lean in and tilt his head the way he always does when he flirts with the subs on the team. He’s going to say something about a pipe bursting.

Karl’s dark eyes, darker in the dim hallway light, rake over Kris’s tangled hair, ruined from the endless passes of his restless fingers. Karl’s smirk grows to an outright grin, and even though he was already glowing—high from his three-point night, the Pens’ third win in a row, and, maybe, from Kris’s text, finally giving in—Karl somehow brightens even more, lit up from the inside. He leans in. He says, “So, there’s this pipe—”

Kris’s hand snaps out to grip Karl’s shirt and yank him into the room before he can finish. Fuck the nonexistent pipe. Kris doesn’t have the patience for their usual back and forth right now. His hands have been burning for hours, itching for days.

can i say something fucked up? sometimes it feels like the worst part of getting [REDACTED] last summer wasn't, like, the feelings of violation and fear and loss of confidence in myself and my decisions, it was the loss of what could have been and, in conjunction, the feeling that it couldn't have really been that bad of an experience, because like...

he was so genuinely charming, and he made me laugh, and he told me i was beautiful even as he [REDACTED]. he held my hand, he listened when i talked, he bought me my favorite food and fucked around in the settings on the bowling computer so that i could "win" and told me he'd never seen anyone play so well. (i got like 20 points the whole game. he was goofing around. it was funny and cute, unfortunately.) it was maybe the most fun date i've ever been on. (not that i have a lot to compare it against.)

he held me and rubbed my back after he ruined everything. he told me he hoped i had a good day at work the next day and that he hoped i had fun working on a project with my grandma that i'd told him about.

worst of all, the one time that i got up the courage to tell him no, please stop, that's too far, he actually did. so was it all my fault, for not saying no earlier? it might be. i didn't say no. i felt coerced and unsafe and he never asked me if i wanted any of it, he didn't once check in to see if it was okay, if i was up for whatever he wanted. i didn't say no. he never asked. if he had asked from the beginning, i would have said no, i didn't feel comfortable going that far on a first date. but he didn't ask. but i didn't say no, so it's probably all my own fault.

I’m sure you’ve answered this before but I can’t seem to find the response (Tumblr gets weirdly hard to navigate sometimes), so sorry about the repetition! But where do you read TRC? Getting the paperback mangas is way too difficult for me, but there are too many internet sources to choose from it seems. Or too little, if you consider how shady some can be. Thanks!

Don't worry, I never mind getting the same question - Tumblr is hell to navigate, even with all the tags in place, and I'm always happy to help!

I have all the physical volumes of Tsubasa, but if we're talking online options I've also purchased almost all of the ebook volumes through Comixology. Comixology is now dead, but! It was eaten by Amazon! So you can also purchase the ebook versions through the Amazon website and read them on the kindle app if you want to spend the money on it. The app... is not optimised for reading manga, but you can zoom in with pretty good quality!

This option isn't for everyone though so I've hunted down a past post with the same question to see what the other suggestions were in the notes. I personally haven't tried any of these websites so I can't vouch for how they work, but the options suggested by others are: batoto, mangakakalot.to, mangadex, tenmanga, and manganelo.

Libraries sometimes will also let you borrow the ebook versions of manga, if they don't have the physical ones, but the availability of that varies wildly depending on location.
