I think what makes me feral about the ending is that I think martyn was going for the ' the watchers want a poetic final battle so I'm not going to give it to them' which is true in a 'we the audience are the watchers' but in the whole fanon 'watchers are the higher powers that control the games' he technically did exactly what they wanted him to do in last life but in lim life this time, in last life the watchers wanted him to kill ren then Scott and claim the victory but he failed to betray ren last minute getting himself killed, in lim life same situation except this time he succeeded in killing his ally then finishing the other person left taking the win.
Idk I just really like the 'the watchers finally got to him angle'

No, but you don't understand! It is so important that (one of) the last pictures we see of Ed is him holding his son with the biggest fucking smile in the entire world on his face!
Tumblr media
Because Ed is Hohenheim's mirror!
Ed's narrative parallel is his own father (oh, how he would hate knowing that - how he fights against that realization) - Ed is the one who leaves Winry behind, just as Hohenheim left Trisha and the kids. Ed is the one who burns their childhood home down, just as Xerxes is destroyed in the wake of Hohenheim's naiveté. Ed is the one who commits an unforgivable sin and seeks atonement following his own shortcomings, just as Hohenheim unknowingly helps the Dwarf in a Flask destroy an entire civilization and carries that responsibility with him for the rest of his (long, long) life.
Hell, Hohenheim telling Ed that him burning the house down because he is running away from his past - while horribly cruel - is really just Hohenheim talking to himself. He wasn't lying when he said that Ed reminded him an awful lot of himself at that age!
And in every choice Ed makes throughout the show, he's always trying to be unlike his father, while unwillingly playing into the same pattern. Ed's complete disregard for Hohenheim, his hurt in the face of the father that left, is what ultimately pushes Ed to make similar choices - he doesn't want to see himself in his father, so he doesn't see the similarities of leaving Winry behind to Hohenheim walking out the door without ever looking back. There's a reason Winry has a thing about "backs in the distance" - and there's a reason why the Openings and Endings of fma Brotherhood often position the boys as walking away, only showing the audience their backs as they walk off.
But in the end?
Ed mirrors Hohenheim. Hell, they even stand in the same spot in the two family pictures. Hohenheim and Ed, both on the left side, both holding the oldest of their two kids, both- well, Hohenheim is crying, while Ed is the happiest he's ever been.
Tumblr media
And that's only because Ed stopped running from his past - Ed found happiness in the end, and part of that was accepting Hohenheim as his father. It's not a story about forgiveness, but acknowledgement. Just Edward calling Hohenheim "his rotten father" in the end is enough for him to move past his refusal to engage with the realities of Hohenheim. The realities of his own father leaving in relation to him growing up.
By the end of the story, Ed dresses more conservatively and still travels - he looks more like Hohenheim than ever. But unlike before in the story, when Ed was fighting this relation, he is now happier than ever before. Happier than Hohenheim ever was. Because with Ed accepting all the qualities he shares with the man, he can also embrace all the differences between them.
Ed managed to grow alongside his guilt. He found happiness in his family, a loving wife, children, research and travel, philosophy and friendship. Edward gets to be happy. He gets to learn from his mistakes (from Hohenheim's mistakes) and return home.
And that's where the mirror breaks.
As all mirrors are wont to do.

so there's a lot of speculation whether or not they're gonna have mike be michael or not in the fnaf movie. and so far even i thought it was pretty unlikely considering the little things we've been shown. but now that the full trailers been revealed there's something that caught my eye. and maybe i'm puling a matpat here and over analyzing one little frame but. just hear me out alright. so in the little snippet we see of a phone call between mike and william, it's pretty normal and well, there's nothing to show that they know each other. clearly mike doesn't know who he's talking to, he just wants a job.
Tumblr media
and honestly for me i was losing hope that they were gonna have mike be revealed to be michael. since initially i thought this was just them confirming that he's not since, surely if he was michael then he'd recognize his fathers voice? but. that might not be the case.
my theory/speculation for the route they're going (again, emphasis on the theory i'm not saying this is 100% canon) is that it's heavily implied there's going to be SOME kind of flashback with mike as a young teenager, since a boy was cast and listed as "young mike" too. and this information about his character given back when casting for the roles were announced.
Tumblr media
"riddled with guilt over a tragedy in his past" which only further strengthens the possibility of a flashback to the bite of 83 where michael pranked his brother and inadvertently caused his death. it's the aftermath of this event with determines how this theory could work. either, william and his wife divorced shortly after, and his wife got custody of mike - they married into another family, the schmidt's. this could lead to abby either being his step-sister or his half-sister.
OR. mike was taken away from william either because of the bite or because the police were heavily suspicious that william was responsible for the missing children. he was put into the system and adopted by - again - the schmidt's. and the reason he doesn't remember anything is because the trauma and the guilt from the bite of 83 and the death of his little brother caused him to heavily repress those memories and in turn, a lot of others (william) without realizing.
so mike doesn't recognize william's voice here. but william?
Tumblr media
this is the frame that caught me here. his expression, the subtle smile on his face. the gears are turning in his head, something clicked.
what if william was keeping tabs on mike this whole time? and he carefully plotted to ensure he got the job at freddy's. for reasons unknown. maybe he just wanted to mess with him, make him remember everything he repressed from his childhood - he's trying to get him to remember by bringing him back to the place where it all started. he remembers his son, but mike doesn't remember his father.
BUT that's just me i'm a little insane. anyway i needed to make this post and write down my thoughts or i'd explode.

Guys I think Aeon got to Troy before Blink did. Think about it.
When Troy fell down the trash hole he immediately went unconscious. When Blink found him he was not unconscious. In fact, he was wandering around like he hadn't been for a while. He was pointedly described as roughed and dirtied and beat up, like he'dbeen wandering around getting into trouble.
Also the things Troy says "your my only ticket outa here" to which Blink respinds "why me?" And then troy says "I dunno, I'm not supposed to tell you" and then there's also the red flag of "no one's vhasing you, no one's using fir any ulterior motivation" which are the obvious ones, but I noticed some other more subtle ones.
"All I know is I fell down this freaken' hole, I woke in this wacky situation with all these cooky characters" he says this right before saying Blink is the only one who can help him. Why do I point this out? Because what "wacky characters" has he met besides Blink? He was unconscious, and then wandering around confused, Blink should be the first person that he's talking to. Who else did he talk to for that to be a description of his situation?
He also says "you have gotta run with me, if you wanna make it down here" when he just meets Blink. No hi hello, not even names yet. At this point Troy still thinks it's a convention. Currently, he's chased after Blink for seemingly no reason after proclaiming "you!" It very much seems like he's repeating something someone said to him in an effort to get Blink to trust him.
Lastly is the picture that was accidentally posted to patreon by the jrwi crew. It was in a post that was basically all the images from the first episode, but they accidentally included one from a future episode. The image is Troy sitting on a chair looking kinda nervous or indecisive while the rest of the picture is just darkness. Charlie has said that Troy gets worse during the campaign and also commits war crimes(?)
Here's what I think happened between Troy falling and Blink meeting him. I think the bear guy finds Troy, is like "wtf?" Gets a vixen over, they obviously recognize an uplander, so they fetch Aeon. Troy is a fucking dumbass and she decides she could use that to her advantage. She tells Troy that Blink, the owl man can help him get out, and she'll also help, so long as he reports Blink's actions to her. And maybe also brings Blink up to the surface with him (where he obviously won't come back from).
That's my theory, Troy unknowing villain arc. But idk, maybe I'm doing Troy Math wrong.

anyways insert analysis on how vivinos typically portrays livelihood or humanity through the brightness of a characters eyes and how tills eyes were dull but the accessories and environment around him were artificially bright like they were trying to pull him into the system of performance
Tumblr media
and how during the kiss a bright light was between ivan and till like how ivan was giving up his life for till and transferring his humanity to him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and how ivans eyes temporarily lost light but it returned after the last of his own life slipped away from him and how they shined knowing he succeeded at bringing back till from the "dead" at the expense of his own life (orpheus eurydice save me)
Tumblr media
and how you *know* he succeeded because tills eyes shined looking at the person who broke him out of his trance. who didn't let him fall.

the funniest thing about the bucktommy hate being partially centered around tommy's past and how he isnt good enough for buck for his previous on-screen jerk behavior and instances of mocking bigotry, is that it literally parallels buck still lmao. they both quite literally started out at the 118 as self-centered repressed jerks with frat boy attitudes. it just so happens that all of bucks growth has been on-screen unlike tommys.

Not sure who has talked about it yet (prbly everybody) but I love how Cale was a bit more capable of letting people from Roan in than in Korea as TL.
Like he seems like the same person, and he is, but it's visibly easier to get close to him from the perspective of Choi Han, the Molans, everybody. And I love that the reason is because they, to Cale's knowledge, had nobody. Choi Han has nobody from Korea or Harris, the children have no parents, neither do the wolves, the Molans lost their home, Rosalyn left her home and faced assassins, Alberu was scorned his whole life, and the list goes on.
It's pointed out that he tried to distance himself from the members of his Team after he became leader because they all had families and he did not. And that he, Choi Jung Soo, and Lee Soo Hyuk became close because they were people who already lost everybody. Then those people died, and he couldn't do it again.
Then he arrives in a world, surrounded by people who lost their parents, their homes, their whole worlds, and.
There is no family they have to go home to. So. Couldn't he help them have that? So he doesn't push them to leave, he just grumbles.
And I love how it's awkward for him (at first) to interact with the Henituse family. Not just because they were supposed to know Cale better than anyone else, but also that they were already their own family and he had to consider if he should be there at all, both as an 'outsider' and as 'Cale the Trash'. But then the Henituse household does that thing where they look at him, and no matter who they see past the eyes, it's a member of their own ranks. So even if they knew from the beginning about it or not, whether there is somebody else there or if a person truly chose change, this person is in their family and he is welcome in their house. Especially after all he's done, they have to chain him down somehow so he doesn't kill himself like a moron.
Anyway, I went back a couple of arcs to reread and catch up on part 2 cuz I haven't gone past Murim yet, how are u guys doin
