"izuku" inko's voice was light, but stern as she carried two mugs over to the small coffee table in her apartment. the same apartment that he had grown up in. of course, he had tried to buy her a house as soon as he received his first paycheck, but she refused. insisted that she didn't need much room for just herself. plus, she loved the little bursts of nostalgia she would get every so often from doing simple things. like making izuku's favorite cookies in the kitchen, or even walking by his old room which she kept perfectly intact. if someone walked in there they might've thought that he was still a teenage boy, but he wasn't.
there in her living room sat her son in his early adulthood. he almost took up half of the loveseat due to the growing muscle on his body. though even due to his increase in size, he shrunk down hearing his mother say his name.
she sat down next to him placing the mugs right on the coasters he had set out "you haven't answered my question"
izuku brought his two fingers up to rub the bridge of his nose "no, we're not together anymore" he mumbled in embarrassment and shame. it never felt good to tell anyone a relationship they invested time and money into didn't end up working out.
she frowned placing a hand on his back to rub slow circles "you got divorced after one week? izuku that can't be right.."
"no, no we didn't get divorced. we were actually, um" he was trying to figure out how to word this correctly to where he didn't sound insane "we were never officially married"
she stopped rubbing giving him a skeptical look "izuku what do you mean you were never married?"
he sighed leaning his elbows against his knees "we were supposed to sign the official marriage papers during the reception in front of everyone then send them in the next day. after that fight though? we just decided to not do it anymore"
"how did the press take it? i haven't seen anything"
"the press didn't know about the engagement or the wedding thankfully. we wanted a peaceful time to plan the wedding. they’re posting a breakup message for the both of us later today though. better to nip it in the bud now”
she nodded her head going to resume in rubbing his back "so when did you officially decide to call it off"
"yesterday"
"any specific reason? or a buildup of many?"
he paused for a moment, mulling over the answer "she would say one specific reason. i would say it built up over time" he shook his head in disbelief "couldn't even agree on that"
"what would she say the one reason was"
a lump caught in his throat at the question. such a simple fucking question that he didn't want to answer. but he knew if he didn't she would be a pain about it.
"y/n"
inko hummed at the very familiar name. you had been over mulitple times in the past years with and without her son. the two of you had grown close and she was like a mother to you. honestly, she had wished that izuku had gotten with you in the first place. would've saved a lot of time and trouble.
"well.. was she a strain to your relationship"
izuku scoffed, almost offended she even asked.
"she was never a problem for me-"
"well of course she wasn't a problem for you. that was your best friend"
"exactly! if uraraka couldn't understand that then it couldn't have worked between us. y/n was one of the first people to believe in me. i owe her a lot and i can't just let her go like that"
inko moved her hand from izuku's back and went to hold his hands instead "face me honey" izuku shifted his body so he was now facing his mother. growing older everyday, but still the strong woman he remembers when he was younger "i just wanted to apologize. for not bring able to give you a normal childhood with two parents in the home"
izuku's eyebrows scrunched together in confusion at her sudden apology "where is this coming from? mom it's fine. you did the best you could and i appreciate that more than anything else you could've done"
she patted on of his hands with a smile "i know you do sweetheart. but i'm mostly apologizing because you couldn't see what a real marriage consists of. the person you marry is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, but the easiest at the same time. love isn't enough to hold a marriage together, you need to be best friends before that. when you love someone on a surface level all you want to do is make sure they're happy. they won't tell you if something is bothering them. they'll follow you blindly into anything. when you marry your best friend you hold them accountable because you want to see them succeed in all that they do. it might make you fight sometimes, but at the end of the day it's worth it. because you have someone by your side you know that will stick it out with you for the rest of your years to come. that's what a marriage should be like"
".. so you're saying i should marry y/n?"
"i'm saying give it time. you don't need to jump back into another relationship immediately after this. what you should be doing is taking time to reflect on what you want, and when you're ready, how y/n makes you feel. and if you do feel something? let it flow. what happens will happen naturally”
---
the smell of hot glue filled your senses as you picked up a seashell from your pile. currently, you were at inko's house doing your monthly crafting sessions. who cares if you hadn't talked to izuku in four months? at least you had his mom.
last month the two of you had went to the beach to crochet, and ended up walking along the beach picking up seashells as you talked. that's when she let you know about the unspoken details of the breakup. you tried to hide your feelings with a stoic face and a simple 'wow'. though inko wasn't buying any of it.
she was currently letting you in on all the work drama she was currently having "i don't know why they want to get in my face like i'm the problem. ma'am, you have an STD, i'm a pediatric nurse. please let me do my job"
you threw your head back in laughter which drowned out the sound of keys jingling in the door.
"hey mom? i got those vegetables you were talking about. don't these tomatoes look fake?" he stopped mid-sentence seeing you sitting there on the floor with the same expression.
"oh no, i must've double booked you two" inko got up taking the bag from izuku's hands "you see every month y/n and i do crafty stuff together and it happened to land on the same day i told you i would make the stir fry"
you gave izuku a quick smile before turning from his lingering gaze "it's okay okaasan. i'll come back another day so we can finish it" you started to gather your things, but inko shook her head "you are staying for dinner. this recipe cooks for four and i am not eating all these leftovers"
you wanted to argue, but knew it would fall onto deaf ears "okay then"
“izuku honey. finish mines while i start on dinner”
“alright” he went to sit on the couch, knee almost brushing onto your shoulder. izuku watched as you placed one of the shells onto your frame carefully. getting the idea he started to do the same exact thing.
you could cut the tension with a knife. silence wasn’t something you were particularly used to with izuku.
“heard you and ochako broke up”
and at this moment he could start listing the things he loved about you.
1. you weren’t afraid to be blunt with him
both of his eyebrows raised and he blew out a puff of air “you don’t hold anything back”
“never did, never will”
he chuckled at your words glancing over at you. there was a slight smile on your face he could tell you were trying to hide. there was a slight slump to your shoulders though as time went on.
he continued with the project figuring he would wait until you spoke again.
like clockwork you turned looking directly into his eyes “can we talk?”
2. you made room for open and honest communication
he nodded placing the picture frame down carefully “yeah, unplug the hot glue and we can go in my room” you nodded unplugging the glue guns and heading over to his old room. he followed after you but not before turning back to his mom “we’re gonna talk”
she gave him a nod, but then quickly turned around when it finally registered “talk? like the talk? the talk so that you two can get together so i can finally have grandbabies talk?-“
“if i say yes will you stop it with that?”
“yes”
“then yes that talk”
she shooed him off into the room as if it was him holding them up. he rubbed the back of his neck while walking inside. with the other hand he closed the door with a soft click.
“how much of that did you hear?”
you shrugged going to sit on the bed “i didn’t hear any of it if it makes you feel better”
“it does actually” he sat himself down next to you with a huff. kirishima would probably kick him right now for how unmanly he’s being. forcing you to step up and take charge of the situation. he just wanted to test the waters out and see how you felt first.
“i guess i just wanted to catch up. really see how you’re feeling. cause i know you posted on the media you ended everything on good terms, but is everything really okay? i mean you broke up with the woman you thought you’d be spending the rest of your life with. it’s okay to be upset”
3. you genuinely cared for him no matter what
“i-“ he cleared his throat from the unexpected voice crack that had arose “sorry, i’m pretty fine now actually. i just feel guilty for making ochako feel embarrassed about the whole situation. other than that.. i really don’t think we were meant to be anyways”
“what do you mean you didn’t think you were meant to be anyways? why’d you propose in the first place then?”
he shrugged taking off a loose strand on the all might themed duvet “i don’t think i knew what marriage was about. but i was informed very recently on what it is about and my vision changed” he watched as you turned to look at him with eyebrows raised.
“oh yeah? changed to what?”
“you”
your playful demeanor dropped immediately. his words truly sinking into the both of you. he attempted to scoot closer to you, but you backed away hesitantly.
“izuku we can’t do this. where you break up with ochako and come running to me? i’m not a second choice you know that right?” this is what you had always wanted, but at this moment it didn’t feel that way. with the current circumstances how else were you supposed to feel?
izuku’s eyes widened when he heard that and redness quickly creeped up his neck. he held both hands up shaking his head “that’s not it i swear! you were never my second choice. in fact, you were always my first. i could just never admit it to myself that maybe, maybe we could make it work romantically. i- i am attracted to you and everything like that! maybe i was with uraraka for so long that i didn’t notice what was right in front of me”
your throat had gone dry. was this really happening? the boy you’d been crushing on for eternity is finally asking you out after leaving his longtime girlfriend. totally normal, and totally not a chance you were willing to give up.
you wasted no time grabbing both of his cheeks and pulling him down for a kiss. startled was an understatement as he felt his lips connecting to yours. though as he realized what was truly happening, he wasn’t complaining. he shut his eyes moving one hand to your cheek and the other on your waist.
despite the quick start, the kiss was soft and slow. tongues gently brushing together in steady movements. when you pulled away, there was a goofy smile on your face. izuku trailed more kisses from your cheek, to your jaw, right down your neck.
4. you were a damned good kisser
“you’ve got a lot of work to do. i hope you know that”
izuku hummed nodding his head “i’m willing to work for it”
“hm.. izu?”
“yeah” he mumbled clearly not wanting to your time be interrupted.
“i’m not saying this doesn’t feel nice, because it does, but can we save it? for one your mom is on the other room. and two? all might is staring dead into my soul”
he pulled away face bright red turning to the poster you were talking about. there he was in all his glory. all might standing there in his signature hero suit, beady blue eyes staring directly at the viewer. izuku turned back to you not being able to contain his laughter. you were right behind him leaning your head on his shoulder in a fit of giggles.
5. you were his best friend

🎃☀️🎃🌙🎃☀️🎃🌙🎃☀️🎃🌙🎃☀️🎃🌙🎃
"Hurry up! We're gonna be late!" You hear your sister call from outside your room.
You adjust your shirt collar once more, and double check the green paint covering any and all exposed skin on your body hasn't smeared. Though, you doubt it. Lisa made sure to completely cover you. Be that because she wanted your costume to look nice or simply because it was a ploy to make you miserable, who's to say?
You turn around, facing your brother who's sitting up on the bed, still looking very cute in his pumpkin costume.
Your sister bursts into the room, "Let's goooo." She moans, marching over to you and starting to shove you towards the door with gloved hands.
"Hey, hey cool it Frankenstein. There's a baby on the bed that has to come with us."
You can't see her eyes through the goggles she's wearing, but her frown tells you she's not pleased.
You turn to face her fully, "Lisa. We can't leave Gabe at home."
She groans, and starts trudging out of your room, "Fineeee, but hurry uuupp."
"Okaaayyyy," You say, and put your focus on your little brother.
You put your hands on your hips, "Alright Gabriel, ready to go?"
He sneezes.
"Good enough for me," You nod, scooping him up and heading downstairs.
Your neighborhood was filled with people in their 60s or older, all retired types and the likes, with a few families with kids Lisa's age here and there. Meaning it was a gold mine for candy. You make your usual lap around the block, Lisa guiding you as you pull Gabe along in his wagon.
As you return to your house, Lisa's bucket and the wagon having collected a good bit of candy, you reach down and snatch up a chocolate bar, snacking on it.
You decide you have to mess with her at least a little bit, "You sure you still want to go to the Plex? This is quite the haul, you know."
"Yes! You promised!"
You laugh, ruffling her already crazed hair, "Just making sure. Go dump your candy on the table while I strap Gabe in, yeah?"
She rushes off, and while you're putting your brother in the car and loading up the wagon your phone buzzes.
It's Abby, 'Hey! You going to make it to the party tonight?
Gonna be super spooky~ :)
And there's a costume contest! Winner gets a sweet prize'
You text back as you start up your car, Lisa rushing back out the door to get in, 'I'll stop by for a bit, team's making me, but Lisa's foaming at the mouth to trick or treat this year and that's my priority'
'Yeah that'd be mine too if I was dealing with her
Thankfully mom and dad have Jack and I don't'
You walk up to your porch, double checking you left the candy bowl out and lock your front door.
'If I have to take a guess, she'll be exhausted by nine and I can drop 'em both off in the Daycare for a bit
but not for long, I wanna be in bed by 11 tonight'
'What are you, 30?'
You get in your car, ignoring Lisa's whining to get a move on, 'Hahahahahaha no.
Just slept bad during my nap earlier'
You pull out, heading to the Pizza Plex. When you arrived, the place is packed, you just manage to grab a parking spot. As soon as she's out of the car Lisa is heading for the entrance, and you have grab her so you can get Gabe out and situated in his wagon.
Upon entering, you're actually quite impressed. You'd seen some staff setting up over the past few days, but now that all the decorations were up it really added to the wow factor. People milled about from place to place, all dressed up, and Halloween music played from speakers all across the atrium.
You look down to your sister, "Alright, where do you wanna start first-aaand she's gone. Dang it, Lisa."
After a quick search you spy her at one of the many tables and booths set up. You give her a brief scolding but then continue on with your evening.
By seven you're the one that's exhausted, you're pretty sure you've hit every spot once if not twice. Except for one, that is.
You'd been saving the Daycare because it's where you'd wanted to end, but now you had no choice, Lisa had quite literally visited every trick or treating spot already, and played most of the carnival games.
The doors are open, and inside you see kids running about playing games and such. Tending to a long line of trick or treaters is Mia and one of the other helpers. She's dressed as a werewolf, while the other helper-Carter maybe?-is dressed as a ghoul.
The former greets you as you approach, "Hey! Good to see you! Love your costume."
"Thank you, I made it for them," Lisa speaks for you, chest puffing with pride.
Mia drops some candy into her bucket, "Well of course! Excellent work, Dr. Frankenstein. There's more candy and goodies inside if you'd like to take a peek."
Your sister turns to you, eyes wide. You nod, and she's rushing in, almost knocking over Carter in the process.
You cringe as you watch after her, her maniacal laughter echoing in her wake.
"Sorry about her," You say as you step to the side, pulling Gabe's wagon up to beside you.
Mia waves her hand, "No worries, but look at this cutie here!" She bends down to Gabe's level, "Hello Gabriel! You look very handsome this evening."
He giggles as she continues to fawn over him. In the meantime, you scan through the Daycare, looking for the bot you're pretty sure was the subject of your crazy dream earlier.
He shows himself for you, suddenly appearing on the ground in front of a group of kids, who shriek from fear and delight. He raises to his full height slowly, using his cape to cover part of his face.
His cape bursts open and he poses, hands up and fingers clawed. It causes the little group to scatter, laughing as they run away.
As he straightens again, he suddenly pauses for a moment, his focus turning to you. His rays spin once or twice and you smirk, waving.
Another pause, then, one hand to his chest, he bows low. Your phone buzzes as he rises again.
'We need to talk.'
You frown, but then shake it off, 'Can't even compliment my costume first? Lisa spent like three hours getting me this green'
'It's, fine. Perhaps a bit tacky, but fine'
You have to hide your gasp as you look up to him, he's now busy with several kids,  'You know, there's a particular emoji I want to send you right now, but I won't because at least one of us has class
I hope that glitter glue stains your faceplate'
'You're simply jealous I look better than you, it sounds like'
You grit your teeth, 'When and where?'
'Ball pit. As soon as possible, preferably'
You glance back to see Mia still messing with Gabe, they're playing peek a boo.
"Hey, this is a weird ask, but could you watch Gabe for me for a second? I uh, need to go check on Lisa."
She gives you a thumb's up and a grin, "Of course! Here Gabe, you wanna help me pass out candy?"
With that taken care of, you head off into the chaos of the Daycare.
Dodging running kids, you do spy your sister among them, viciously trying to win a game with donuts on a string. Her snapping teeth and general, aggressive, energy does make you question for a moment how much sugar she's had already.
You shrug it off, she's probably fine.
Another group of kids running giggling from Sun by the ball pit, but his demeanor shifts as soon as he sees you. Standing tall, maybe even irritated.
"Well? What's so important it can't wait until say, tomorrow?"
Sun's hands smooth out his shirt, "Something's going on with Fazerblast."
"Yeah, trust me I'm well aware," You scoff and shake your head, "Been working on it for days with no luck, why do you care?"
His eyes narrow, "Because it's an opportunity, Bright Eyes. Surely you see that."
"Opportunity? For what-Oh no. No, no, no, you are not doing this to me tonight."
He clasps his hands together, bending so you're eye to eye, "When would you like me to remind you then, Sunshine? When the attraction and, surrounding areas, are functional again and we're able to do nothing?"
You're mad. Because you know he's right. You hate it when he's right. Much less admit to it.
The glitches that've been occurring have been, concerning, to say the least. The map bots have been going haywire after using the charging stations, the music that plays throughout becoming warped, distorted. Certain walls and such shifting randomly, in some cases trapping kids in boxed out sections, to the concern of angry parents.
Not to mention that the guns have also been malfunctioning, misfiring and in some cases, shocking participants when fired. Both the wielder and their target, which should not be happening. And that’s on top of the power outages.
Sun leans closer, voice low, "I believe you are as aware as I regarding a certain, threat, looming in this building. Surely you don't doubt that they may see tonight as as much an opportunity, right?"
You feel your eyes widen a tinge, "You think, you know who, is behind it? Why?"
"It's not her typical method, but it's the only logical conclusion I can come to," His rays spin, "And I'd rather interfere now before it grows worse."
"Mister Sun! What are you two talking 'bout?"
You both jump, looking down and seeing a couple curious kids.
Sun goes into action immediately, taking your hand and spinning you into a dip, "I'm persuading them to join my legion of the undead for all eternity, and if you aren't careful, I'll get you too!"
That does the trick, they run off giggling and chattering. You're still in his arms when you speak up.
"What was that."
He seems to realize he's still holding you, setting you upright and brushing his hands off on his pants, "Acting. Try not to think too hard on it, wouldn't want to damage that brain you're borrowing."
You scoff, "Ha ha. Anyway, since when do you care about other people? I don't see how you're set to gain anything from figuring this out."
"It's not 'people', that I'm worried about, Bright Eyes. Freddy is supposed to be hosting a game of laser tag later tonight and I fear-" He stops himself, looking away.
You're surprised, but stick to just a simple tease, "Aw, you care about your friends, how sweet. Fine, I'm in. But you better have a strategy for getting out of here without being noticed."
"I think the opportunity may present itself sooner than anticipated," You see he's looking behind you.
The kids from before are back, and have brought many friends, garnering a small crowd. You spot Lisa among them, hands on her hips and angry pout on her lips.
She takes charge, pointing, "Hey! The only one that gets to boss them around is me."
Once again, you don't get to react.
Sun laughs darkly, shifting to stand behind you and taking you by the shoulders. He bends so his head is by your ear, taking surprising care to ensure you don't get poked by his rays.
You glance up and see the wire lower from the ceiling slowly, "I'm afraid you're too late, Dr. They've fallen into my clutches and I won't be letting go so easily. They're mine now, and I'll be whisking them away to live in my castle, forever!"
Suddenly, you're in the air, Sun holding you firmly around the waist to ensure you don't fall.
"But, as compensation for your loss," He opens his cloak and candy falls to the ground where you'd been standing, "Please accept this gracious exchange."
To your sister's credit, she seems to considered the offer for a moment before, "I suppose this suffices, very well," And she has the audacity to wave her hand.
Your mouth is agape in shock as you're carried over to the balcony outside the Daycare Attendant's room, "Lisa!"
"He had skittles! That's too good to pass up!" She shouts back, already digging through the candy with the other kids.
Sun sets you both down on the balcony shortly thereafter, and ushers you inside.
"And what was that?" You look up to him, only for his hands to cover your eyes.
"Still acting~ Now, no peeking. I don't need you invading my privacy."
"But you're the one who brought me up here!" You protest. No fair. You didn't even get a single glance around the room.
He scoffs lightly, "Semantics, Sunbeam. Start walking."
If you were in a worse mood you'd have ignore the demand. But, you want to get this over with as quick as possible. You feel bad just leaving your siblings in the care of the helpers without any notice, and you'd also like to actually enjoy Halloween a bit instead of doing what you do every day.
You hear a door open and shut, and the hands are removed. It's still dark however, and turning you see the other Attendant is standing behind you.
"How do you manage to completely change your outfit?" You nod to the lack of shirt and cloak.
His faceplate spins, "Trade secret."
"Fair enough, how's your Halloween going? Besides this I mean," You start walking down the hall to the theater, where you hear a Halloween movie playing.
He walks beside you, passing out a candy or two to the kids who notice you pass, "Delightful. I rather enjoy holidays when they're open to the public. Thought a day off is nice every so often."
"Tell me about it, I'm glad we decided to take a half-day today."
You reach the door and Moon bids you farewell, "Good luck, and try not to be too hasty, Icarus."
"No promises," You wink and start to walk out of the theater, only to pause and spin around to watch the transformation but, "Oh come on! That was way too quick."
Sun adjust the collar of his shirt, "You have better things to be worrying about, let's get going now, hm?"
"Yeah, yeah, you don't have to tell me twice."
You set off, walking through the busy Plex to Fazerblast. It's actually easier than you expected. No one questions why you and the Attendant are together, which is a nice change of pace from always being concerned about being caught. With the added factor and chaos of Halloween, it's no trouble, save for a few kids wanting pictures and candy.
You run into Chica along the way, she's dressed up as Roxanne. While the chat is cheerful, it's also useful in confirming that yes, Freddy will be hosting a Halloween tournament in the next twenty minutes. It also confirms your fears.
"I feel so bad for him! He's been practicing so much, even choosing to charge over there as opposed to his room the past few nights," Chica sighs, "And yet, he seems so tired, kind of out of it, you know? Not to mention his laser gun keeps causing problems..."
Sun and yourself share a glance but say nothing.
Chica waves her hand, "Well, don't let me keep you anymore, have fun you two!" She shoots a wink and a finger gun your wave and you look away, embarrassed.
As you walk off Sun questions it, "What was that about?"
"Nothing, don't worry about it," You shake your head, coughing, then notice how he's paused, optics dim, "What?"
His eyes brighten again, but his tone is grim, "Freddy's not responding over the FECN. And after discussing with the rabbit, he apparently hasn't for over an hour."
"I'm guessing that's not normal?"
Sun shakes his head slowly.
You curse under your breath, "Come on, we're almost there and now we know we don't have any time to spare-"
Your hand is grabbed by someone, Abby you realize, "There you are! Come on, we just watched Pete dunk Jesse's head in the apple tank and now they're fighting."
"It was so funny, Bri's trying to break them up but I don't think it's going well," Savannah puts her hand on your shoulder, also guiding you along.
You glance back in time to see Sun get pat on the back by Liv as she follows after you three, grabbing the bot's arm, "You should join too! Come on!"
Your eyes meet Sun's and you think you share the same, slightly panicked look. You don't have time for the party. Knowing what you do about Freddy there's no telling what's going to happen at this tournament.
But you can't think of an excuse as an easy out and thus, you have no choice but to join in the festivities and look for a chance to escape in the meantime.
Thankfully, Sun seems to think the same way, not resisting as the two of you are paraded into the west arcade.
The music's booming, people are chatting excitedly, and laughter is heard every so often. The decorations here are just are spooky as those throughout the Plex, cobwebs and bats and pumpkins hanging off railings and the ceiling and so on.
Sure enough, you spy a soaking wet Jesse and Pete sitting across from each other by the stage. Tyler meanwhile, is chomping on an apple while leaning back against the stage, you see it’s one of several. He shoots you a ‘hang loose’ upon seeing you.
Bri is standing over the pair on the ground and appears to be scolding them. She perks up when she sees you arrive though.
"Well look what the cat dragged in!" She grins, giving you a brief hug, "And Sun! You look great!"
He mutters a quiet thank you as she continues to chat with him. Meanwhile you scan your surroundings for any kind of distraction to you get out of here.
"Looking for something?" Pete asks from below you, drawing you out of your worried thoughts.
You glance down to him, "Just observing. What's the deal with you two and water?" You gesture between him and Jesse.
The later stops rubbing his hair with a pumpkin towel, "Pete thinks if he waterboards me it proves he's right."
"That is not true, you started it! He said my costume wasn't good," He looks to the other man on the ground, sneering "Which, by the way, yours is shit."
Jesse throws up his hands, half-dried cloth flailing in the air, "You're the one who picked it out for me, and did my makeup!"
They start bickering and Savannah comes up beside you again, shaking her head, "Ignore them, they're especially annoying tonight because they're both drinking."
"Not surprising."
She pats your shoulder, "Hey, I know it's a party and I really don't want to talk shop, but, I had a breakthrough with the trigger pins."
"Oh? I'm listening," You can't leave currently, might as well find a way to pass the time.
"I snagged one of the faulty guns and just, took it apart to see what I could find, you know, quality engineer brain," She takes a sip of her drink, "And there's nothing wrong with it. The triggers are fine. It's a software issue, got to be."
Your eyes widen slightly, and it occurs to you what situation you might have on your hands here.
Unfortunately, the lights cut before you can react. The emergency lights come on soon thereafter however, so the room's only in relative darkness. People seem slightly alarmed, but once someone boots up a generator and the music starts again, they settle.
You hear a couple whistles behind you, and several compliments.
"Woah! That transition was slick, and your costume looks great!"
A quiet, shy laugh, and, "Thank you, Officer Perry."
You turn, finding Moon standing in Sun's place. And, yet again, you've missed the change in costumes. Damn.
But, you know a chance when it's put in front of you like this, and checking the time you see you've got a little under ten minutes.
You walk over to the bot who's still getting many compliments and take his hand, looking up to him, "Come with me to get a drink."
He nods, and giving a wave to your friends, you head off.
"I don't believe this is the time for beverages, Pandora."
When you get far enough away you stop, turning to him, "I know. Just needed an excuse. Hopefully they'll buy it." You realize you're still holding his hand and quickly let it go, mumbling an apology.
You notice he seems on edge.
"What's wrong now?" You're almost afraid to ask.
"Freddy has been, removed, from the FECN."
"But the last time something like that happened-" You stop, swallowing your fear, "How fast can you get down there?"
Moon chuckles, "Depends on how much you trust me, Diana. And how strong your grip is."
You find out what he means as you're rushing through the rafters and the halls and over balconies to get to the laser tag area. You hold on for dear life, only able to hear the whooshing of air as Moon carries you.
"You're quicker than I thought!" You say over the noise.
You feel his chuckle more than hear it, "Is that a compliment?"
"You can take it as one, how's that?" You squeak and huddle closer to him when you drop from one railing to another.
"Still bitter about my costume change?"
You take the provided distraction, "You're hiding a modern engineering feat from me on purpose. That's cruel. Something I'd expect Sun to do to me, not you, Moon-man."
"You think so highly of me," He beams, "I'll keep that in mind for future use."
The conversation helps ease you a little. You don't think he would drop you, intentionally or unintentionally, but his secure hold along with teasing words offers you a bit of comfort as you worry over what you'll find once you arrive at Fazerblast.
When you arrive in the staff hallway, it's as dark as anywhere else, only emergency lights being the way to see. It's enough, however, for Sun to reappear.
"Still no sign of him?" You ask as you walk over to the door.
You hear a click or two, "No, not yet-"
Suddenly, before you can get out your keycard you're pressed back into the door, Sun's body covering yours as he uses a hand to shield you.
"What?"
His tone is low, pointed, "We're not alone."
You peek through the gap between his other arm and the wall. Sure enough, under one of the red lights down the hall, there stands a figure. You think it must be Rabbit Lady. Though, she looks different.
Covered in shadow, it's hard to make out her features, but her build looks much bulkier than usual. More like Bonnie. It's decrepit as well.
Gaps in her costume that look like they've been torn away, small strands of something poking out at odd angles in spots. Her eyes are two small, purple pupils which stare you down.
A sound from the opposite end of the hall, you both turn to see another shadowed individual standing at the edge of the light. This one, you don't know who, or what they are. Also bulky, but more human in stature. One of their hands is a giant claw though, and their pigtails look like they're made of thick cables and not hair. Their pupils are green.
There's a smell of smoke in the air. But it's, faded.
"Unlock the door," Sun mutters.
 You nod shakily and fumble in your pocket for the keycard. No movement from anyone. You slowly start to raise the keycard by your side.
There's a noise from down the hall. Rabbit lady-that has to her right? what who else could it be?-has taken a step forward. A sound from the other side of the hall. Pigtails has also taken a step.
In a moment's hesitation, you drop your keys and they clatter to the floor.
"Shit-"
Both figures start rushing towards you and you fumble to snatch up your keys in time. Just as you grab them Sun takes hold of you to shelter you. You hear both of them rush closer and realize it's too late.
You squeeze your eyes shut when there's a loud noise of something booting up. Opening your eyes, you find the lights are back on, and the figures are gone. Like they were never there in the first place. Like,
"Ghosts..." You whisper.
Sum murmurs in agreement at first, then shakes his head.
"Ghosts aren't real." He states, releasing you.
"Okay then how do you explain that?" You motion to how the hallway is completely empty save for the two of you.
His rays click, "I can't. But we don't have time for this, hurry now, before it's too late."
You huff, but nod, unlocking the door and rushing inside.
Fazerblast is up and running, and you spy everyone gathered around in the center of the arena. The contest hasn’t started yet. More importantly you spy,
"Freddy!" You rush over, Sun in tow.
He turns to face you both, zombie costume doing nothing to hide his friendly demeanor, "Hello Y/N! Hello Sun! What are you both doing here? Have you come to join laser tag?"
"I, you, you're okay?" You're slightly out of breath, and confused. Very confused.
His brows furrow, "Well of course, should I not be?"
"Friend, you're not on the FECN," Sun steps forward and puts his hand on the shorter bot's shoulder, "No one could contact you, we were all so worried!"
Freddy's eyes widen, "Ah, I forgot! Lizzy removed my access for the time being to save my battery for the competition! It will be restored once it is over."
You feel a bit relieved, and you can tell by how Sun's posture relaxes he does too. But still, you need clarification.
"Chica said you haven't been yourself lately, would that be why?"
The bear looks down, hand coming up to scratch his neck, "I... have not been charging properly the past few days due to improper power flow to the charging station. I was so focused on preparing that I did not realize I wasn't getting enough rest until they informed me of the issue. I am sorry for making you all worry."
"No trouble at all, Friend!" Sun steps back to stand beside you, "We're just glad you're alright!"
Sometimes you forget how nice he can be. Your eyes a squint as he puts a hand on your shoulder. But then you snap out of it and shake your head, turning back to the bear in front of you.
"So wait, would that be what caused the issues with the staff bots? Just faulty charging stations?" The fact that it's not related to the previous issues, that it's not even a glitch, has you relieved.
"Not quite."
You turn, and see Lizzy standing there, holding something covered by a white cloth. Their hair is manic, and they're covered in cobwebs and grime from head to toe. You cringe, at least they're wearing coveralls.
They approach, "Figured out the source of all our issues. Want to take a guess?"
"Have anything to do with that there?" You nod to the white sheet.
"Oh yeah."
They remove the sheet, revealing a cage filled with-
"Mice?" You and Sun both question.
Lizzy looks ready to lose their mind, "Yup. I know. Turns out, there's a crawlspace behind where all the machinery is for this place and these little guys," They lift the cage, "Decided to make it their home. Then when they got tired of that, they thought that the generators running Fazerblast would make for a great sub-division to their mousey-neighborhood. You have no idea the number of mice nests I've cleared out of there. Not to mention the number of wires I'm going to have to finish replacing that they chewed through."
"So, it's not related to the mechanics, or the software at all," You say in awe, "Just the power, and some mice."
"And some mice," Lizzy repeats, sighing, "So, so many mice."
You look up to Sun, he looks down to you.
"Huh." "Huh."
You're half out of it when you stumble back into the party upstairs. You brought the Attendant with you because, well you don't really know but you're both here now.
You find your friends in front of the stage, who greet you as you arrive.
"Long time for a drink," Bri quips, "You get lost?"
You laugh weakly, "Something like that."
"You're just in time for the contest results!" Liv exclaims before turning back to the stage.
You sigh, leaning back onto the bot behind you, not caring if it bothers him, "Oh goody."
Sun huffs, but allows you to stay leaning against him while Abby gives her brief spiel on stage before announcing the runner ups and then the winners.
"And in second place, in a surprise entry, but with many votes, we have the Daycare Attendant! Congratulations, Sun!"
People start cheering and clapping and you stand straight, shocked.
"You're joking."
Abby speaks up again, "And in third place, with their killer Frankenstein's monster costume, Y/N!"
"You're joking."
Sun snickers quietly behind you as the two of you are ushered onto the stage beside your friend. You do your best to hide your complete and utter disbelief and frustration.
You're handed a sack of chocolate coins, you're too mad to pay attention to what Sun's prize is. His head is held high, waving and posing and it makes you want to throttle him.
Abby clears he throat, "But of course, we still have first place, which goes to, none other than the other Daycare Attendant, Moon!"
"What."
You bust out laughing, and continue to do so as the lights dim to only a few blue and purple ones remaining, allowing the Naptime Attendant to claim his prize. After the ups and downs of tonight, you'd consider this a pretty good way to end it.
"So," You pop another chocolate coin in your mouth, "You don't think those were ghosts?"
You're sitting on the floor of the Daycare, an hour or so later. Halloween night isn't over yet, but it's starting to wind down. A few straggling kids run through the Daycare here and there, and Mia and Carter are finishing out with the trick or treaters.
Your sister is asleep, laying partly in your lap. Gabe is still awake, but his eyes are drooping as he plays blocks with Sun.
The Attendant looks up from his task, scoffing, "Don't be ridiculous, of course they weren't."
"Okay, well we aren't in a panic situation anymore, so give me an explanation."
His rays spin, staring at you, then glances back down to your brother, "I don't have one."
"Ha!"
"Yet. There's a logical explanation to what we saw, I'm sure of it." He shakes his head a smidge, muttering, "There must be..."
You crumple the gold wrapper in your hand, flicking it so it hits square in the middle of his faceplate, "Well, we thought Rabbit Lady was causing the glitches, and it was just a couple of mice, so I guess anything is possible."
He nods. Then, reaches behind him, holding out two items stacked on top of each other. A folded up t-shirt, and a mug. The second and first place prizes for the costume contest, respectively.
"Here. These are useless to us. You should have them."
You're, incredibly surprised.
"I, wouldn't you want to give them to someone like Bri? Or maybe one of the kids?" Sure it was just silly prizes, but still. It's, kind of flattering? You don’t know how to feel, really.
Sun shakes his head, urging you to grab the items, "You're the only one that makes sense. Take them before I change my mind on the shirt."
"Okay, okay," You do, and after maneuvering around your sleeping sister, switch out your coat and undershirt for the orange t-shirt. It has print on it for 'Fazbear Frights'. You forgot that attraction even existed until you saw the shirt.
You finish putting it on and fix your hair, "Well?"
Sun stares down at you, rays clicking. You raise a brow.
"You know, I think it probably would look better on me."
You gasp, and he snickers, narrowly dodging your hand as you swat at him, before hitting him with more crumpled wrappers that were laying around, ignoring his complaints about needing to 'clean up'.
All in all, not a bad Halloween.
Maybe, just maybe, one of the best.
Maybe.

May I request the demon brothers with a s/o who has stretch marks? I swear these things make me feel so insecure and I'm not here for it. Not trying to be all sad here but everyone I see has such beautiful clear skin but, then there's me with my pale ass skin with stretch marks 😌 anyways, have an amazing day ! 💚💚
Felt this nonny. slightly suggestive in some parts. I will be super honest, this was a little hard to write because I don't see them caring very much? but i tried
Lucifer doesn't bring it up for a while. A long while. The first time it comes up is when you sleep together for the first time. You awake to find him tracing a particularly large mark on your hip/stomach area, and you immediately cover up out of shame. He furrows his brow. "I'm sorry Luci, I'm just kind of insecure about them I guess?"
"There's no need, MC, I think every part of you is absolutely stunning."
Overally, he does not care at all. He does relate in a way though, he feels like his wings and your stretch marks are both places of slight shame for you.
Mammon is one who notices fairly early. You're reaching up to put something away after you've been transported to the Devildom, and he panics for a moment, "woah, how'd you get all those scars, MC?" He doesn't realize how insensitive the question is, but he feels like an ass when your immediately tug your shirt down.
"They're just stretch marks," you shrug him off, quickly going back to putting things away, more careful this time to not expose yourself.
They end up being one of the main reasons you put off having sex for the first time, and it takes some confrontation from Mammon for him to realize what's up. He asks you if you're just not ready to have sex or if you're not attracted to him. "Of course I'm into you, Mammon! I'm just, honestly, I'm insecure about the stretch marks all over me..."
"Treasure, that's ridiculous! You're gorgeous. I love you, all of you. And they're cool."
Leviathan doesn't notice until you point them out. He was talking about his insecurities and you we're like, "yeah, I kinda get it. I have these stretch marks all over! It's embarrassing!"
"Wha? Lemme see." Thankfully you're close enough at this point for human contact, and he's pretty amazed. "Those are so cool though! I-I, I like how the skin changes texture." He gently touches one on your stomach, before retracting his hand and apologizing.
Generally he actually loves the tactile stimulation from them. He adores being able to trace your skin and feel you. The emotional connection and physical are something he thrives from.
He absolutely adores them! Asmodeus is in love with all of you, ever part. He first notices one day while you're out shopping, trying on clothes, and you try on a crop top of sorts. He's aware of what they are and doesn't say anything, until you bring up how it shows them. "You should show of your tiger stripes more, MC! Rawr!" He makes a paw like a cat and giggles at you, smiling. "All jokes aside, you look absolutely lovely and I love this on you!"
Overall, he will go out of his way to show some love to them. He'll kiss them while you make love, or he'll give your belly a squeeze in general to see you jump!
Satan first notices when you're at a cat cafe, you leaned over to pet a kitty and he notices a particularly red mark. "Oh, MC, did a cat scratch you?" He leans towards you, nudging your shirt up. "No, that's just a stretch mark." He notices how you avert your gaze and tug your shirt down. He doesn't bring it up again.
It gets brought up again about a week later when things are getting steamy, and he's grabbing at your body, and you yelp. "Did I hurt you?" His brow is furrowed, he looks so guilty. "No no! I'm just, I'm just a little insecure is all. I'm sorry."
"You have absolutely nothing to be sorry for. I'm interested in every part of you, MC. And, I think they're interesting."
Beelzebub and Belphegor first notice at a fanghoul game! Beel is hugging Belphie, and next is you, and Beel sees your shirt ride up.
"Mc, what's that? Are you okay? Did someone hurt you?" Beel freezes where he stands, his brow furrowed.
"No, Beel, those are stretch marks. Some humans have them. Can we go home now?" Belphie answers for you, and you're thankful, as well as a little embarrassed.
Beel gives you a 2nd apologetic glance before moving on, and you all head home.
Overall, Beel does not seem to notice them most of the time. though he does like to grab onto your tummy when you have sex, and he will kill the stretch marks where he grabbed afterwards.
Belphagor is another who likes to trace your stretch marks as he dozes off. You always feel the tip of his finger grazing along the sensitive thin skin.

the wait until the end of the shift was hell.
normally, you were able to fly through your work without much issue, given how long you'd done this job up to now. you had a set routine you'd developed for deep cleaning his office, which left you with enough time to get his scheduling in order with a few minutes left to spare to shoot the breeze.
now, however, you knew you'd be staying late. mr. raglan had promised a continuation of the fun the two of you had earlier in your shift, and if how fervently you'd eaten him out was any indication of things to come... well, no one could blame you for being eager for the workday to end.
his last client seemed to take forever. in reality, it probably only took a few minutes, just some guy with a shoddy record in need of work, but as your eyes ticked over to the clock, watching the minutes go down, you found yourself willing the man to get up and leave already. thankfully, he went on his way before very long, leaving you and mr. raglan alone.
your boss' tired, stoic demeanor didn't change as you finished the last bit of cleaning. watching him, you noticed that he kept looking out the window into the parking lot. you guessed that he was probably checking to make sure that no one else was there, and you were grateful for it. the last thing you needed was someone interrupting your fun.
ellen, the elderly secretary who normally manned the waiting room, stuck her head in through the door. "do you need anything before i go, sir?"
"we'll be alright," mr. raglan said with a curt nod. "we'll lock up. you go on ahead."
"suit yourself," ellen said, pulling away and closing the door. a minute later, mr. raglan went to look out the window again. this time, a small smile turned the corners of his lips.
"looks like we won't have to worry about anybody else," he said, turning to face you. "you about done?"
with an awkward smile, you admitted, "i've been done for a while, actually. i've just been waiting for you."
"awww, aren't you cute," mr. raglan teased, making his way over to you. "come here, baby..."
tilting your head up to meet his eye, mr. raglan pulled you in for a kiss, unusually gentle for someone as big and domineering as him. this gentleness quickly faded, giving way to excitement as he lifted you up in his arms as if you weighed nothing at all. you eagerly leaned into the kiss, wrapping your arms around him as he carried you over to his office chair. mr. raglan sat down in his office chair, lifting you so you rested on his thigh.
"you've been so good for me, baby," he cooed, moving one hand down to the zipper on your pants.
"i've been waiting all day for this, sir," you admitted, gasping softly as his hand pressed into your erection.
"i can tell, baby boy," mr. raglan chuckled, "you're all worked up. now, let's see what we're working with..."
desperate for him to touch you already, you quickly unzipped your pants and pulled your half hard cock out of your boxers. glancing up at mr. raglan, you could've sworn the man was salivating as he wrapped one meaty hand around your dick.
"you've been holding out on me, baby," he teased as he slowly jerked you off. "who could've guessed such a cute thing like you would be this big?"
your hips bucked into his fist, groaning as your cock throbbed in his grip. "fuck, daddy, don't tease me," you whined, which only made mr. raglan chuckle.
"i know, sweet boy, i know," he crooned, releasing his grip around your dick. you huffed in frustration as he lazily unbuckled his pants, tossing his belt aside. he started to pull his pants down, so you climbed down from his lap so he could take his pants off. you could clearly see a wet patch spreading on his boxers, strings of slick sticking to the fabric as he pulled his boxers down.
"you might have to stretch me open a little, baby," he chuckled. "with how big you are, it might be a tight fit..."
you didn't hesitate to move your hand down to his pussy, already soaking wet as you slid in a finger. mr. raglan sighed and leaned his head back against his headrest, relaxing at your touch as you crooked your finger inside him. after a minute, you slipped in a second finger, pumping the both of them in and out. one well timed press of your finger against a particular spot had mr. raglan exclaiming, "oh fuck! that's it, right there, baby!"
heat rose to your cheeks as you realized that you must've found his g spot. you kept massaging that spot with your fingertips, soon adding a third. mr. raglan's breathing sped up into sharp panting, his fingers digging into his armrests as he tried to compose himself.
eventually, he rested one hand on your shoulder, lightly pushing you back. "alright, that's good, that's good. i'm ready for you now, baby."
"are you sure?" you asked, looking back up for confirmation. "do you need me to wear a condom or-"
mr. raglan chuckled softly and pulled you in for a kiss. "go ahead, baby boy," he purred, spreading his thighs for you. "daddy's all yours."
that was all the permission you needed. carefully slotting yourself between his legs, you held onto his shoulders as you slid your cock into his hole, moaning at just how wet and tight his pussy was around you.
"ohhh, fuck, baby, that feels so good," mr. raglan groaned. "so good for me, sweet boy..."
cupping your face in his broad hand, he leaned down to kiss you, and you moved up a bit to meet his lips. as you rose to kiss him, you pushed a bit deeper into him, causing him to moan into the kiss.
"are you ok?" you asked him nervously, causing him to laugh.
"baby, you don't have to worry about me," he grinned. "you can get rough with me if you like, i can take it."
"a-are you sure?" you stammered, though admittedly, the idea turned you on.
"sure as anything," mr. raglan reassured you. "i'm a big boy, i can handle it."
eager for some friction, you pulled out almost all the way before slamming back into him, making mr. raglan cry out your name in a broken moan. the sound of his voice cracking spurred you on as you thrust back into him, eventually setting an even pace.
mr. raglan couldn't keep his hands off of you. with one leg wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him, he was free to bring one arm around your back, using his free hand to tug on your hair, forcing your head up. his shaky moans and whimpers were muffled by your kisses, each one more desperate than the last. one particularly well timed thrust had him crying out and cursing, so you adjusted your position, one hand on his shoulder, the other on his chest, and rammed into that spot over and over. you could feel yourself getting close, but mr. raglan sounded like he might come at any moment. the sight of your boss, this huge, looming bear of a man falling apart before you turned you on more than you ever thought possible.
"i'm so close," you whined, your thrusts becoming uneven and sloppy. "daddy, i'm so close-"
"that's it, baby," mr. raglan whimpered in between thrusts. "come inside me, sweet boy, fill daddy's pussy up, please, please, please-"
mr. raglan's begging was enough to send you over the edge. sinking your fingers into his shoulder, you gritted your teeth as you came inside him, your vision nearly going white. mr. raglan's grip around you tightened, pressing you against his belly as he cried out your name, coming so hard that tears pricked at the corners of his eyes.
the both of you stayed there in each other's embrace, taking a minute to catch your breath. eventually, mr. raglan lowered his leg and loosened his grip around you, leaning down to kiss you, which you eagerly returned.
"thank you, baby," he rasped, his voice nearly gone. "fuck, that felt so good..."
leaning back a bit, he patted his thigh, motioning for you to climb up. you pulled your softening cock from his hole, making him whimper quietly at the sudden emptiness and the squelching of come. you climbed onto his leg and leaned against him, and he pulled you closer to him with one arm.
after a minute of silence, you decided to speak up. "sir," you asked, "what does this make us?"
mr. raglan looked down at you with one eyebrow raised. "are you seeing anyone?"
"not right now," you responded. "what about you?"
"divorced," mr. raglan replied. with a nonchalant shrug, he added, "my, uh... my ex wife left me for a younger guy. she didn't want much to do with an old, fat man like me."
"she's missing out," you said with a laugh. mr. raglan smiled down at you, something more genuine and heartfelt, before bringing you in for another kiss.
"well," he said, "i wouldn't mind if we kept this up." with a chuckle, he said, "maybe next time, we could take this back to my place. if that's alright with you, baby."
"i'd love that, daddy," you smiled, bringing him in for another kiss. "thank you."

Break Me Slowly|Part 16|YandereLevi x Evelyn
Tumblr media
(A/N: Another day another shot at degenerate Levi. Bro doesn't even know his wife got knocked up yet and I intend to keep it that way for a little bit because he deserves to suffer as well for his not very cash money behaviour)
WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, manipulation, domestic abuse, yandere themes, forced marriage, forced pregnancy, stockholm syndrome, violence, mind breaking, misogyny, etc.
==========================================
Evelyn rubbed her eyes, the sounds of digging in the dirt of the basement haunted her dreams to the point she couldn't even think properly anymore. Sleep evaded her, she had just barely convinced Levi not to touch her last night, still unsure how to tell him about their unborn child. Eventually she would have to, but she didn't even know what to say, all chances of freedom would be gone forever, he would never let her go now. Her fate was sealed.
Levi nudged her with his elbow, she had been dozing again, noticeably so. He was desperately trying to keep up appearances, there had already been a lot of questions when he married her, as to why she was taking a leave of absence. Now that she was back there was more suspicion, more whispers, even the slightest thing she did would cause people to question what was really going on. Thankfully, everyone was more interested in her, a high ranked veteran suddenly returning to action, more than Petra's disappearance. It was as if she was forgotten, her corpse rotting in their basement.
As for right now, it was only Captain and wife, Commander Erwin, and Hange present, the only ones who could be kept on the inside when it came to information. Eren was in prison, Zeke held captive, Evelyn finally was filled in on the details of their plans considering the hostile nations surrounding them. She was never important enough to hear all of this before, sent into enemy territory without so much as a clue what would come next. But those in authority leaving her to her fate was nothing new by a long shot.
"So as promised Levi, since Evelyn retrieved this information for us I'll uphold my end of the deal." Erwin slides a set of papers across the desk for Evelyn to take.
"Discharged?" She asked in disbelief.
"Levi's demands in the whole arrangement, one last mission. And as your Commander I'd like to thank you for your service-"
"Are you kidding me!?" She stands to her feet, slamming her palms on the table. "After all of this I'm discharged?! For what? To be Levi's permanent housewife? Are you that intent on screwing me over Erwin? As if you haven't done enough-"
"I don't think getting upset will help anything-"
"Go fuck yourself- spew your casualty of war bullshit somewhere else, I'm tired of hearing it!"
Levi grabs her by the shoulders, forcing her to sit.
"Hange? C'mon, you get it. You know everything they've told you is bullshit."
Hange can't meet her eyes, guilt coursing through her. "I"m sorry, but I can't disobey Commander Erwin."
Evelyn struggles against Levi's grip, wanting nothing more than to strangle the person she called friend.
"Settle down, Evelyn." Erwin's expression matches Levi's in sternness. "We're trying to give you a proper send off-"
"Then do one in front of everyone. Let me get on a stage for a moment and tell everyone why I was being discharged."
"You know we can't let you do this."
"Because you're scared that they'll know the truth and turn on you. It's sad really."
Levi pulls her close and whispers in her ear. "Behave yourself woman or I'll take you out of here and then you really won't like what happens next."
For now, at least, she shuts her mouth, so hard she hears her teeth click together. It wasn't worth it, at least for now.
"So with Zeke held in custody, Levi we're going to need you to guard him."
Levi casts an annoyed glance at his Commander. "Are you shitting me Erwin? First I let you send my wife away for a month, and now I have to sit and watch that fucking monkey for who knows how long?"
"I'm sorry Levi, I wasn't aware that your personal life overruled the future of this entire country."
He chewed the inside of his cheek, clearly annoyed. "And what about Evelyn?"
"I can take care of myself Levi."
"Oh I'm sure you can, especially when a big strong man comes to protect you."
"The fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"I think you know what it means wife."
"Enough." Erwin interjects. "I prefer it if you didn't have a domestic in my office. And Levi, Hange volunteered to make sure Evelyn is safe and taken care of while you're gone."
He seems wary of the thought of entrusting his wife to someone else, even one of his closest friends, doesn't sit well with him. But for once Erwin has a point, he can't let his personal life trump the future of this country, if he didn't do his part now his kids wouldn't have a future. "Fine. So long as you remember Hange that-" He clears his throat. "Talk we had about Evelyn's needs?"
Hange nods in agreement. "Don't worry, I know how to take care of her. Finally we'll get some girl time without you!" She laughs, and the glint in her eye signifies she's already full of ideas.
"Then I guess there's nothing more to discuss." Erwin stands. "Meeting adjourned."
============================================
What Levi wouldn't give to have Erwin in front of him right now, put him through this hell. "Just watch Zeke", he didn't think that meant listening to the smug bastard ramble on and on about the most annoying of topics.
"Guess you weren't well liked by the ladies, since you think you know everything."
The hairy bitch. "I do know. And I was liked enough, so-"
"Oh that's right, you're the lucky devil who got married to the Titan Shifter."
"She has a name you know." His teeth were clenched, for most, mentioning his wife could be a death sentence, unfortunately this time killing the prisoner wasn't an option.
"My apologies, I didn't mean to insult you and your lovely wife."
Levi chooses to drop the subject, when one of the other Scouts whispers in his ear that someone had come to see him. Which was odd, since only the handful of Scouts present and a few higher ups knew where they were.
Hands gripping his swords, he follows the Scouts to the edge of the forest, surprised to see his wife dismounting her horse. "What the hell are you doing here?" It was by no means an unwelcome surprise, but a surprise nonetheless, and the trip could have been dangerous.
"I need to talk to you, privately." She says, something clearly amiss.
Without letting the concern show on his face Levi nods for her to follow him, staying relatively away from the others. "What is it?"
"It's Eren, he's escaped, him and a group they're calling the Jeagerists are looking for Zeke, trying to find him to do who knows what."
His eyes flash with anger. "I knew the bastard was against us from the start." He turns, ready to confront Zeke when she touches his arm.
"Wait- there's uhm, there's more-"
"Then what is it? Speak quickly woman I don't have time for this."
She had to tell him, she knew that, she had to tell him she was pregnant in case something happened to either of them. It should be so easy, why was she hesitating now?
"Just that-" Why was she trembling so much? He was a man, just a man, not the demon her mind had turned him into. "You need to be careful, I don't trust him-" At the last moment her courage vanished, making her lose the nerve to tell him.
Levi seems suspicious, feeling there was more, but even that confession was surprising and sweet, she wanted him to be safe for her. Maybe she was turning around, maybe after all of this they could be a real family.
He pulls her into his arms, squeezing her tightly like he always did to comfort her. "I will be, don't worry about me, I'll come home to you, I promise."
She sighs, she was truly a coward, but at least a somewhat loving action from Levi was worth it. "I know you will."
The almost sweet moment ended when they both heard a scream coming from the inner camp. Levi pushed her away and scanned the trees, his heart beating out of his chest and his swords drawn. He glances from the woods to her, his mind working as he fits together what's happening.
"Get out of here."
"What's going on?"
He pushes her forcefully towards the clearing. "Run!"
Nearly tripping on her own feet she forces them to move, running through the trees.
She takes a look over her shoulder, seeing Levi charge towards the centre of camp where those dozens of bright lights start exploding.

Bestie, my love, light of my life (for reals :( ) I’m in my thoughts™️ thinking about atsumu being like. Super, always prepared with a plan b whenever your plans get changed bc he never wants to disappoint you and I’m soft smh 🥺🧡 going above and beyond to make you happy; pls feel free to feed me because the brainrot is so real????
gn!reader, pure fluff <3, but mentions of anxiety and feelings of helplessness but like very minor. no angst.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UMMM OKAY YES. as someone who absolutely hates and does not respond well to change, i would be sososososo appreciative of this??? i really drew from personal experiences here-
like?? he would so totally have a plan b because he knows you don’t like it when the things you planned together don’t go the way you wanted, he knows it makes you anxious when things you thought you had control over get seemingly ripped away from you by the universe.
but he knows you never end up making plan b’s on your own because once you get excited about something, you let yourself think there’s no way it could end up not happening. and you know you shouldn’t set yourself up for disappointment, but it’s so easy to forget about a plan b when you’ve figured out everything to perfection.
which means he makes sure you both have a back up plan so you still feel like there’s a sense of security when it doesn’t go to plan.
(a smol sidenote abt the lengths atsumu would go for you: if he could, he would totally take on the fates in a fist fight if it meant keeping a smile on your face forever.)
he doesn’t always need to come up with a backup plan but he has one anyway!!
the night before he has to use his plan b for the first time, you're sitting in bed and excitedly rambling on about everything you're going to do the next day ( for the third time that week since you planned it) as he gets ready for bed.
he has a smile on his face that you don't see because you're staring up at the ceiling instead. "okay so we're going to wake up early and head to the café for breakfast, then the zoo, because it shouldn't be busy on a week day... and after that I thought we could head over to that new photo op place with the cool backgrounds and take some cute pictures. it's been a while since we've done our own mini photoshoot. does that sound okay, 'tsum?"
"it sounds perfect, baby, thank you again for planning it all out."
you give him a shy smile and shake your head a bit. "it's nothing, I'm just glad you're going to enjoy it too. it's not often we both have a day off together, so I wanted it to be perfect."
except the next morning you head out only to find that the café you wanted to try out was closed. you frowned, but atsumu just took your hand and lead you back to the car. "it's okay! I know another place we can go, it's not too far out of the way. you'll like it, I promise."
you debated for a second, not sure if you should just wait for it to open or go along with your boyfriend's idea. but ultimately he convinced you that it was much better than throwing your schedule off by a couple of hours.
he heard you sigh as you got into the car and shook off the minor setback. it was one thing, surely the rest of the day will go as planned, you reasoned with yourself and turned up the music a bit, wanting to sing along with atsumu as he drove.
thankfully you ended up adoring the place your boyfriend suggested, and you were in much better spirits the next time you got in the car.
you weren't aware, but he was happy that the first part of his backup plan came in handy.
the next item on your list was the zoo. you were ready to walk off your meals and look at some cool animals, now, but the second you arrived in the parking lot, it started to rain.
and not just a light drizzle, either, it was pouring.
"what?!" you yelled, "I checked the weather three times yesterday and once before we left, it wasn't supposed to rain! I mean, I brought umbrellas just in case, anyway, but we can't walk in this!"
you looked so distraught that atsumu reached over to rub your arm. "baby, it's alright! here- we can sit in the car for ten minutes and if it doesn't let up anytime soon, I have an idea for what we can do instead."
a whine escaped your mouth. "but 'tsum, our plans-"
"it'll all be okay, y/n/n, I promise. do ya trust me?"
you nodded and gripped his hand. he brought them up to his mouth and kissed the back of yours a few times. "I know you wanted everything to be perfect, but don't let a couple changes in our plans ruin your mood, alright, sweetheart? anything I do with you is perfect for me."
"you are disgustingly sweet, I love you so much," you laughed at him as he let out a shocked sound.
ten minutes later, the rain still hadn't let up and he drove you over to the aquarium a few blocks away. truthfully, when he found out you'd both have a day off together he had planned out his own day for the two of you just in case something like this happened. he'd never tell you unless you explicitly asked, but it was something he always did for you.
and thankfully, his plans weren't so different than your own. café, then animal themed attraction. then a mini photoshoot (because he knew you were getting antsy with all the "fan" accounts of his bringing up how you guys never post each other anymore so it must either be a PR thing or a breakup). then home for dinner and hopefully lots of cuddles after.
he pulled into the parking lot and he noticed your eyes light up a bit. "the aquarium? atsumu, you genius!"
he grinned and sat a bit straighter in the driver's seat. you were never shy about complimenting him or feeding into his ego.
after parking the car and reaching for the umbrellas, he glanced at you. "get ready to run, there were no spots open close to the entrance."
you nodded and got out of the car, undoing your umbrella and making a mad dash for the building. the both of you were laughing the whole time, earning some stares from bystanders.
once you were inside, you purchased your tickets and made your way through. atsumu would never admit this either, because he hated to see you disappointed, but he was glad the zoo didn't work out. now he got to see your eyes shine brighter, both with excitement and the reflection of the water from the tanks as you stared at the sharks in awe.
it was safe to say he definitely admired you more than the sea life.
you left the aquarium a few hours later happy and holding a stuffed dolphin that he insisted on buying you from the gift shop. you glanced up at the sky before stepping out from underneath the entrance. "it stopped raining, finally."
he took your hand and made way to the car. "photo op place next?"
you nodded and got in the driver's seat. "my turn to drive, you don't know how to get there."
"GPS exists, baby."
you gave him a deadpan look. "last time we used GPS we were half an hour late to your brother's dinner reservations because you insisted you knew a faster route."
"in my defense I didn't think there would be so much construction."
"mhm, just let me drive."
"...fine."
twenty minutes later, you were trying not to pop a blood vessel while you spoke to the lady at the reception desk. "but there's nothing on your website about needing to make a reservation! it literally says that walk-ins are an option!"
"I'm very sorry, but there's a limit to how many people can enter the rooms at a time and we're at max capacity right now. the next available time we can get you in is next week, if that's alright."
you wanted to cry. atsumu could see you struggling to stay calm and quickly sent the lady a charming smile. "no, that's alright, but thank you anyway! have a nice day."
when you got back to the car, you finally gave in to the stress that had been building up all day. you were thankful that atsumu always had a solution to your issues that worked out, but you felt so out of control now that literally everything you planned for the day had gone wrong.
tears welled up in your eyes and atsumu rubbed your back. "it's okay, baby, let it out."
"I just wanted our day together to go smoothly, and I know you said earlier you were happy with anything but I had it all planned, 'tsum. and it ended up being a really nice day, I'm happy about that, but I feel so useless! I hate it when things don't go to plan."
"I know, sweetheart, I'm sorry what ya had planned didn't end up happening, it's frustrating. I hate seein' ya disappointed, but think about it- we stayed on theme with what ya originally had planned. it didn't differ too much."
you shrugged and nodded a bit. "I guess..."
he wiped away a tear and kissed your cheek. "can I take over one last time? we can still do our photoshoot. I know a real pretty place, much better than whatever this place had to offer for sure. and then dinner and what we watch tonight is all your pick."
you glanced at him and nodded, attempting a small smile. "sure, 'tsum... thank you. this might have been a lot worse if you hadn't been here. I appreciate you, you know how to make me feel more secure in moments like this. I love you."
he winked and smiled back at you. "anything for the love of my life."
fine, maybe things hadn't totally gone to plan, but you were learning to let go of that. you trusted atsumu, so you just had to trust that everything would be okay so long as he was involved. he always made sure of it.
(and in the end you got some really amazing pictures that definitely silenced those accounts saying you broke up. obviously no one would assume that after atsumu posted a... just slightly too-hot-for-instagram photo of the two of you posing with his hands all over you in front of some roses...and then one more from the very end of the night when you were cuddled up in bed.)
Clone Force Omega story prompt: Omega gets a boyfriend or girlfriend and her little brothers suddenly become very protective of her and live up to their nickname "the Bad Batch".
Clone Force Omega: Part 3
Love this prompt! Gave me just the boost of motivation I needed to keep going with the AU.
Now, this chapter won't quite get to the boyfriend/girlfriend part, but you'll see how I'm setting it up. I also decided that Omega wouldn't go to the Lawquane's right away like Hunter had in the show. I'm not cutting their part out of the AU completely, just reordering things a bit.
Omega & The Bad Batch | 4.2k words
Content: Canon-typical violence/fighting/peril, some flirty banter,
Tumblr media
The one blessing of having four young kids to look out for, was never having a moment quiet enough to think about the demons you were running from.
Omega recognized this blessing immediately, knowing if she had been alone on this ship, she'd likely have started falling apart by now. The Republic was gone, changed into something cold and ugly. Her life as a lone soldier was done, her sense of purpose and identity now floating nebulous in the wind like the smoky remnants of a fire. And Echo...
"Omega, what does this do?" a little voice called out, just before bunks started sliding out of the wall with a harsh grating sound, revealing that they'd clearly never been used in all the time the ship had been in commission.
She was about to scold Tech for being nosy, knowing there were worse buttons to push without knowing what they'd do first, but then decided the bunk beds gave an opportunity to redirect their attentions.
"Oh good, just in time for bed," she said with feigned cheer.
There was a chorus of whines from around the ship. None of them thought they'd still have a bedtime while on an adventure. How lame.
But in spite of the protests, she still managed to get them to comply with the promise that sleep would make them even stronger and smarter than they already were. And they'd need a lot of strength and brain power if they were going to visit their first planet outside of Kamino.
"What's it going to be like?" Hunter asked eagerly as she tucked each of them in. "Are there going to be trees?"
"Ooh, what about mountains?" asked Wrecker with an equally excited lilt to his voice. "Or volcanoes?"
"I want to see a bird," chimed in Tech. "I read that sometimes they are really small, and sometimes they are really big."
"Go to sleep," Omega repeated, crossing over to the other set of bunks. "You'll see soon enough."
She finished her round of tuck-ins with Crosshair, who was usually the quietest of the bunch, but Omega knew that didn't always mean he had nothing to say. She leaned in close as she pulled the blanket up to his chin.
"What do you want to see?" she whispered so the others wouldn't hear her special treatment. She wasn't sure why she had such a soft spot for the little grump; he really could be a brat sometimes. But truthfully, she could be one, too. Maybe that was why.
Crosshair blinked up at her with eyes she knew had been enhanced even more than hers had. There'd be a lot for those eyes to take in, wherever they ended up going. But his response didn't answer her question.
"What's going to happen to us?" he asked, also, thankfully, in a whisper.
She could already hear Wrecker snoring behind them. Hunter was the only one who could probably hear at this point. She'd have to choose her words carefully so neither would panic.
"I don't know," she decided to go with the truth. A simple version of it, anyway. "But I promise, no matter what happens, I will take care of you. We're family. We stick together."
That seemed to satisfy Crosshair, at least enough for him to close his eyes when she repeated the instruction to go to sleep.
Omega returned to the cockpit and sat down in her seat heavily. A stray wisp of hair tickled her cheek so she started undoing her braid, running her fingers through her curls as they bounced free. Every pass of her hand from her scalp the ends of her hair, a new troublesome thought seemed to enter her mind. What was going to happen to them? Where were they even going? What was this new Empire really all about? How could Echo have...
She stopped that thought as a sudden lump pushed its way in her throat. She knew she couldn't explain Echo's behavior, just as she couldn't answer any of those other pesky questions. Not without all the facts. The logical side of her brain, a trait she shared with Tech, insisted she investigate before coming to any wild conclusions.
So she swept her unruly hair behind her shoulder and leaned forward in her seat, tapping around on the holomap and doing some quick mental-calculations. She didn't know where to get information, but she knew someone who might. Unfortunately, the Empire's crews hadn't refueled her ship, or even restocked on rations, since she'd returned from her last mission. She could picture the stomachs of four growing boys growling as soon as they woke up, and knew that wouldn't do. And all that was in addition to the fact that it wouldn't take long for the ship's signature to be put on a wanted list, if it hadn't been already.
They'd need to make a supply run first. And get the ship's code scrambled before it drew unwanted attention. Omega swiped at the map and saw Pantora was the closest planet. That would have to do.
* * *
Omega had once dreamed about taking the boys off Kamino. Just for a day. Most clones, including herself, had to wait until they were fully grown and fully trained before they were mobilized off planet for the first time. Occasionally groups of young cadets were taken on field trips, but it was almost always within the confines of a spacecraft, never on ground. Omega wanted different for her brothers. They were special, a secret project. Why shouldn't they be given special privileges as well?
She would've taken them somewhere warm, green, and full of wildlife. Somewhere like Naboo or Alderaan. She'd let them run around in nature, feel the tactile sensations of dirt beneath their toes and sunshine on their faces. They could climb a tree that wasn't holographic, swim in water what wasn't dark and cold, run as fast and as long as they wanted without the danger of reaching the end of a platform. For one day, they could just be kids.
Pantora certainly had its fair share of luscious landscapes that would've suited such a day perfectly. Unfortunately, there were no supplies out in the Pantoran wilderness. So the boys' first experience stepping foot on another planet was within a city. And though she kept it to herself, Omega was not happy about it.
Cities were not her thing. Too many people, too many dark alleyways. It was difficult enough to process the amount of sensory input and keep watch of her own back, but now she'd have to do it with four young boys in tow. And not only that, but there was simply too much to do in such a short time frame. What a nightmare.
"Tech, have you ever had to scramble a ship's signature before?" she asked, already knowing the answer but needing to humor her need for hope anyway.
"No, but I know how to look up ships by their signatures when looking through the archives!" he grinned, very proud of himself despite the fact that was not the same thing. Not even close.
The Marauder had just touched down but she held back on lowering the ramp for a few minutes while she chewed on her lip in thought. She hated the idea of splitting them up but she couldn't see any way around it. Not unless they had the luxury of staying here all week, which they most certainly did not.
"Okay, here's the plan," she finally said, spinning around.
"Is this a mission plan?" asked Hunter as they crowded around her in a surprising show of obedience.
"Yep. Our first mission. You boys ready?"
They all nodded eagerly. If this was the only way to keep their attentions, so be it.
"Tech, you're going to stay with the ship and scramble it. I'll be talking you through everything on comms. Don't do anything until I give you the instruction. Copy?"
"Copy that," Tech nodded and pushed up his goggles.
"Wrecker, you're also going to stay and keep watch. If anyone comes poking around asking questions, let them know your parents are exchanging credits and will be back soon."
"Parents?" Wrecker's nose scrunched in confusion.
"Yes, it's a cover story."
"Ohh," he said, still looking confused.
Omega decided to not waste time trying to explain more. She also wasn't going to tell him that she thought he was the best chance at defending himself and Tech should, gods-forbid, anyone try to harm or capture them.
"Hunter, Crosshair, you two are going to follow me into town for supplies. You're going to keep an eye on things and let me know if you sense any danger."
Both boys gave nods and salutes of their own.
Omega breathed deeply through her nose. "Okay. That's the plan. Let's go."
Thankfully the boys had already been wearing fairly casual clothes, though she'd had to carefully rip off the old Republic logos from the sleeves while they'd slept. She had been in her blacks upon leaving, but she always kept a spare change of civvy clothes on board for her undercover missions, so she'd changed into those earlier as well. After quickly buying off the shipyard foreman to not ask questions for the next half cycle, they set off on their respective tasks.
"Okay, Tech, you're going to start by locating the rear parallax inverters..." she began listing off instructions into the comms link as soon as they hit the main street of the city.
Walking Tech through the procedure, looking for market stalls with deals on rations and fuel, keeping an eye on two boys who were in awe at every little thing around them, and steering clear of the parade of Imperial soldiers marching about proved to be quite the challenge. Though one of Omega's strong suits was multitasking, she still had her hands full.
"Crosshair, keep up!" she shouted back at the boy, who had stopped to pet a friendly Tooka on the side of the road.
"Why is everyone cheering?" Hunter asked, tugging at her sleeve for an answer to the dozenth question he'd asked in the past two minutes.
"End of the war," Omega quickly responded before pressing the button on the comm link and answered a different question from a different brother. "Yes, Tech, the one with the blinking light. Have Wrecker help you pull it out. Gently."
She then turned into a stall and saddled up to the counter, plopping an old pyro denton grenade between her and the merchant. "I'd like to do a trade."
She spent the next ten minutes continuing to bounce between the various demands for her attention, haggling with the merchant, walking Tech through the complicated procedure of rewiring the key, making sure Wrecker was being useful by putting all the other parts back into the ship. But at some point, she'd decided Hunter and Crosshair didn't need as much of her focus as they both amused themselves playing with the lost Tooka. It wasn't until she'd finally sold the merchant on the value of her grenade did she then turn around and notice they were gone.
"Hunter? Cross?" she called out, rushing to the street and looking both ways.
"They went that way," the merchant told her, pointing toward her left. "Chased that poor creature away."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"
Omega was more frustrated than frantic. She half-walked, half-jogged down the road, careful to look down alleys and within stalls, just in case her brothers were hiding there.
She paused at an intersection, glancing at the three options before her for only a second each. Somehow, she felt that she had to go down the one on the right. Her instincts never steered her wrong.
No sooner had she turned the corner did Crosshair come rushing up to her. She was relieved, but fully prepared to start scolding the boy for running off in a strange place like that. But the panic in Crosshair's eyes stopped her.
"Where's Hunter?" she asked instead.
Crosshair pointed down the road. "There's this lady. She said she'd help us find you but took us the wrong way. Hunter wouldn't listen to me."
Omega started running, making sure Cross was just a step behind her. Soon the road twisted and she saw a little head of messy brown hair through the crowd ahead.
"Hunter!" she called out. The little boy stopped and turned with a big grin on his face. He was holding some kind of fruit.
"There she is!" he said to the person standing next to him. "That's my sister, Omega!"
Sure enough, someone was accompanying him, though Omega could see right away that she was less of a lady and more like a bounty hunter.
"Hunter, get over here right now," Omega barked. She could hear the garbled voice of Tech coming from the comm link in her hand, asking for his next instructions, but she shoved it into her pocket. She kept her hand hovering by her hip, where her trusty blaster hung at the ready.
"It's okay, Omega," Hunter called back, taking a bite out of the fruit he held. "She was helping us look for you."
Crosshair clutched at the back of Omega's shirt and shook his head at his brother. At least one of them had a healthy sense of stranger danger, Omega thought.
"Yes, Hunter and I were getting to know each other," the girl said. Her tone was friendly enough, but Omega could see the threat in her eyes. They looked even more dangerous as soon as the girl put her helmet on, big brown eyes that squinted confidently through a slat in the helmet. Omega now wished she'd brought her own, but it would've drawn too much unwanted attention.
Instead, Omega crouched with her hand now resting firmly on the hilt of her blaster. Her opponent did the same. A good old fashioned stand off that would've been a lot more fun had Hunter not been in between them.
"Cowering behind a kid, very brave," she called to the girl, hoping some banter might buy her some time to get a plan together.
"What can I say," the girl responded, "I'm an opportunist."
That drew Hunter's attention to what was really going on. Now his eyes were as wide and scared as Crosshair's had been.
"Omega?" he whined as he dropped his fruit.
"How much is the bounty?" Omega spoke over him and asked the girl.
"More than you can afford to buy me out of."
"Maybe I have something worth more than credits to you."
The girl laughed. "A defective clone on the run from the Empire? With four little boys hanging on her back? That practically pays for my retirement. There's nothing I want more."
"Pft, retirement's overrated," Omega egged on. "You'd get bored. Hitch a ride with me, though, and I'll show you the adventure of a lifetime."
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were flirting with me."
"Well... Is it working?"
"Hmm, not really."
The girl didn't give Omega a chance to come up with any further quips. She whipped out her blaster and started firing, giving Omega no choice but to duck for cover. Crosshair jumped with her, though somehow he had pulled out one of her vibroblades from behind her back.
"Hey, let's switch," she said, pulling out her blaster to give to the boy and taking the blade instead. "I have an idea."
Meanwhile, Hunter had thrown himself at the girl, trying to wrestle the blaster out of her hands. Omega scowled as she looked around the crate they'd hidden behind to see him so brazenly fight a bounty hunter ten times as skilled. Once they got out of this mess and away from Pantora, she'd have to find some time to train the boys on safer tactics.
Even so, she didn't immediately rush out. Hunter was distracting the girl's attention just enough for Omega to slip behind a different crate that was a little closer. She motioned for Crosshair to stay where he was. And then, as soon as the girl had twisted around in an attempt to push Hunter to the ground, Omega jumped out and hurled the vibroblade.
The girl was too fast. She grabbed at a wicker basket lid from a nearby stall and used it as a shield. The blade lodged itself in it.
Omega was a little faster. She rushed out from the crate while the blade had still been circling in the air. The girl flipped the lid around to try and dislodge the blade, but Omega was already upon her, shoving her knee right into the girl's abdomen.
"Hunter, run!" Omega barked as she tried to wrestle the lid away. She didn't look to see if the boy listened, putting all her might into the hand-to-hand combat she was now locked in with this bounty hunter.
"You fight dirty, clone," the girl gritted through her teeth, parrying one of Omega's punches with the but of her blaster.
Omega let go of the lid so she could roundhouse kick the blaster out of the girl's hands. It went clattering down the street, causing several people to shriek as they realized a serious fight was breaking loose. Great. No doubt those Imperial soldiers would soon be showing up.
The girl didn't mourn the loss of her blaster, instead taking advantage of the blade having fallen out of the lid as Omega dropped it. She somersaulted over the thing, grasping the hilt and kicking out at Omega's legs in one smooth swoop. Omega would've been impressed had she not had the wind knocked out of her.
Then the bounty hunter was on top of her, the hum of the vibroblade reaching Omega's ears before the blade itself got too close. She gasped for air as she threw up her wrists, criss-crossing them underneath the girl's hand and pushing back. The girl's other hand came around and grasped at Omega's throat.
"Hell of a way to flirt back," Omega rasped, still pushing with all her might to get the blade away from her face.
Surprisingly, the bounty hunter grinned. Or at least, Omega assumed she did, given the wrinkles around her eyes.
"Honey, these aren't even my best moves."
Sudden blaster fire came from above, clipping the bounty hunter in the shoulder. She cried out and jerked back just enough for Omega to grab the blade and pull. A sharp, electrical pain radiated up to her elbow as the thing pierced through her palm, but she didn't care. She kicked upward, making contact with the girl's rear end and sending her sprawling.
"Omega!" Hunter called out to her. Crosshair was next to him holding a smoking blaster in shaky hands.
Omega flipped herself onto her feet and immediately started sprinting before the bounty hunter could recover herself. Hunter and Crosshair followed, running as fast as their little legs could carry them.
Blaster fire followed as well. The bounty hunter had found her gun again. They kept running.
"Citizens! Halt!" A few of the local police had arrived at the scene, but Omega and her brothers went barreling past them.
She turned them down an alleyway to escape both of the threats that were now close behind. Her mind was frantic, unsure how they could make it back to the ship before someone caught up to them. Even if they managed to get off planet, they were still screwed. With little fuel and a bounty on their heads, they were essentially trapped.
"Omega!"
The voice that called her faint and distorted, so much so she almost didn't hear it over her racing heartbeat. She turned back to see Hunter and Crosshair were keeping pace, but neither looked like they had been trying to say anything.
"Omega!" it came again. And then she remembered the comm link in her pocket.
"Tech!" she huffed into the mic. "Get the ship running, now!"
"I already did!" he responded proudly. "You left the comm on and we heard shooting. We're coming to your rescue!"
Omega stopped running at the end of the alley, peering out to see people milling about with no clue of the chaos she brought with her. Hunter and Crosshair pulled up next to her, huffing and puffing.
She brought a hand to her temple and tried to think. Tech couldn't fly a ship, no matter how badly he believed he could. But, if she could talk him through the basics like she had with the signature key, and if her and the boys could find higher ground, they just may have a shot at escape.
"Tech," she whispered into the comm link. "There's a satellite tower just north of the docking bay. You're going to pick us up at the top. Now, listen very carefully. You're only going to push the buttons I tell you to."
"And what do I do?" came Wrecker's voice.
"Help him navigate."
Omega silently motioned for Hunter and Cross to follow her lead again. As calmly but as quickly as possible, they went out into the street and hurried down the lane toward the satellite tower, and all the while Omega talked Tech through the controls of the ship. She heard some concerning sounds in return, both through the comm feed as well as out in the real world. The bay was close enough to their current location that ever scrape of the ship's wings against the walls let out a harsh shriek into the surrounding area. Omega tried not to cringe.
They reached the tower and she sent the boys up the ladder first. There was no time for a pep talk, but they seemed to understand the seriousness of the situation and started climbing without a fuss. If Wrecker had been here instead, different story.
"Leaving so soon?"
The bounty hunter's voice rang out across the street from behind her. Omega looked over her shoulder, her foot resting on the first rung of the ladder.
"Just when we were getting to know each other," the girl sauntered forward. The police, or any Imperials, didn't seem to have made it yet. But Omega could sense they weren't far behind.
"The offer still stands," Omega called back, looking up briefly to see her brothers were making good progress on the ladder. "I can give you more than the Empire ever could."
She was trying to be cheeky, buy some time for Tech to get off the ground. But in a strange way, she also meant it. The future was so uncertain, it was appealing to think there could be one person out there that didn't want to kill them.
"Oh, I'm not working for the Empire," the girl responded.
Omega didn't have time to process that odd statement. The police had just rounded the corner behind the bounty hunter, and Tech had just breached the top of the landing bay wall.
Omega jumped and caught the tenth rung on the ladder and began climbing from there. There were a few blaster shots that ricocheted off the side of the tower, but the police quickly converged on the bounty hunter and put a stop to it. Omega quickly caught up to the boys, who were just reaching the top platform. She all but pushed them onto it.
"Alright Tech, nice and easy," she encouraged the young boy to move the ship forward. "The button above the thrusters lowers the ramp."
The side of the ship opened up and the ramp promptly slid out from there. Omega jumped as soon as it was close enough, and then turned to reach a hand out to the others.
Whatever confidence they'd had before was gone. Hunter looked down the gap between the platform and the ramp and Crosshair bit his lip nervously.
"It's okay, boys. You're so brave. You got this. I've got you."
Hunter swallowed and nodded his head. He was the first to try the jump. He flung his little body onto the ramp and Omega caught him square on. Seeing it was possible, Crosshair soon followed.
Omega shooed Tech out of the pilot's seat, giving him just a small high-five before she narrowed in on the task at hand. As the Marauder zipped out of the Pantoran city and back toward the darkness of space, everyone stayed silent. Today had been a lot. Too much, probably.
Omega wanted so desperately to cry, a feeling she hadn't ever been eager to indulge in. The reality of their situation was settling in deeper and deeper with each passing moment. Try as she might, she could not guarantee the safety of these boys, not with everyone in the galaxy out to get them. And for what? Why? This target on their heads was strange given the other matters the Empire seemed to need to focus on. And that bounty hunter had said she wasn't even working for the Empire. Who else could be looking for them?
She shook her head and sent them back into hyperspace. She knew where she needed to go. Looking for answers was tempting, but no longer the priority. She needed to get the boys to safety, first.
I went to work today and my boss had a similar expression to what she had earlier this year when she had a massive personal crisis. It was just her and I today plus our fill-in doctor while our usual one is on vacation. I was hoping the bulk of our appointments would no-show today to be honest because I was not going to be fully present but we were steady-busy. First patient of the day, like I was posting earlier, brought up how we have a new president after I broke the news to her that she was out of network and I shut that topic down immediately. The substitute doctor is nice but by the end of the day we were lagging behind 45 minutes with the last few appointments so I messaged Alice saying I'd probably be late. I wasn't too late thankfully.
I decided after work to stop at Lover's because I've reached a critical stage of Fuck It and was going to buy something to wear with this top for a burlesque show on Friday night. There was one woman working there who temporarily closed the store for a meal break so I waited in my car about 15 minutes until she came back. I remembered her from when I had been in last year and she was quite chatty, and I knew also that she had a wife and wore pride pins on her lanyard. I found what I came in for and talked a bit with her at the register.
"It's probably silly to ask but how are you holding up?" I asked.
"Terrible." She said. "You?"
"I thought I'd be one of those weirdos crying while shopping." And we talked a bit. I went home, had dinner with Alice, and on our way back we passed by this restaurant that typically has stupid jokes up in their marquee. It's the kind of jokes you see as memes reblogged by your grandma on facebook, and they sometimes usually have a slightly conservative slant. In five years of working and living around this area, there's always been something in there. When it wasn't jokes, it was usually some text welcoming home a Navy ship. We drove past it tonight and it was blank on both sides. Somehow this part was disturbing to us both. I thought back to the videos I saw on Tiktok where people were saying things like 'NYC is completely quiet today', or the friends that independently changed their profile pictures to just empty black squares. No planning.
So, I wanted to write this out. I want to keep a momentum of this, the little daily moments because this really feels like we're on the edge of something very huge and awful. I don't remember a lot from 2020-2021 and I want to be able to have something to look back on as things change daily. The pace from the 2016 presidency felt like it was shattering reality and I need a tether to stay afloat.
Belphegor
Content Warning: one suicidal thought at the very end
Author's Note: Initially, I planned on this being smut, but the more I got to thinking about it, the more it didn't seem right given how I had written the relationship between MC and Belphie up until this point. So, for the most part, this is SFW.
Stupid Mammon. He didn't read the label on the bottle before dumping it in the soup.
Then again, I've had similar moments where I don't pay attention to what I'm doing and end up fucking up, so I really shouldn't judge my brother that harshly.
Or maybe I should. I at least have the excuse of my sin. What does he have?
Currently, I'm in my bed up in the attic. Other than Beel, everyone else is too spooked to go up here, so I should be able to hide for a few hours. Of course, I don't know what I can do to help me feel better. If I recall correctly, the aphrodisiac is too powerful for me to overcome by myself, so my only option is to reach out for assistance.
Except the one person that could help me is completely out of the question.
Loud knocking interrupts my thoughts.
"Belphie!" Great. It's MC. I should have known they would find me.
"Go away," I tell them.
"You know I can't do that."
"I wish you would." The words come out a bit harsher than I intended. "I feel like I'm going to start acting crazy if I'm around you right now. I'm worried I might lose my head."
"So, you're planning to hole yourself up in there again?" I see how it is.
"It's not like I had a choice the first time." I hear MC sigh.
"Listen, if you don't feel like letting me in, that's fine, but at the very least allow me to talk to you."
"Fine." The power of the pact forces me to get up and sit in front of the door. Through the holes on the door, I watch MC situate themselves on the floor so that they're looking directly at me.
"I hope you understand why I'm hesitant to let you in," I tell them. MC nods their head.
"I appreciate you respecting what I told you the last time we were together. There are plenty of people up in the human world that don't."
"Is that coming from personal experience?"
"Thankfully, no. It's just one of those things that has unfortunately become a normal part of society."
"Fuck society." MC snorts in amusement. "That's truly messed up."
"And this is coming from the demon that possessed me without my consent."
"That's kinda the point of possession, MC. I mean, have you ever heard a demon ask a human if they can come inside?"
"Yes." The look on their face suggests that their mind went in the gutter.
"I'm not talking about that kind of coming, and you know it."
"I know. I just want to mess with you." They pause. "The truth is, I've come to miss you."
"You have?" I figured they would have missed the others, but me? It's not like MC and I were on bad terms when they left the last time, but they told me themselves that they still had some negative feelings towards me from our initial meeting.
"Sometimes, when I couldn't sleep at night, I thought about you. I wished you were there by my side to soothe me. There were times that I dreamt that we were in the planetarium, looking up at the stars and holding each other close." I feel honored, especially because they dreamt that without any interference on my part.
"Would you want to do that?" I feel more in control of my body, enough so that I feel like I could be in close proximity to MC without crossing any boundaries.
"Like, right now?"
"Yeah. You're here, I'm here, it's here."
"Are you going to be okay?"
"I think so. I don't feel quite as crazy."
۞۞۞
"You stink." MC and I managed to sneak in the planetarium without anyone interrupting us, and now we're currently stretched out on the couch. My back is on an armrest, and MC's snuggled up to me with their head resting on my chest.
"When you say that, is it a normal stink or a magical stink?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, I know that demons have a strong sense of smell than humans and that they can pick up on other demons' scent. So, I don't know if that's what you're picking up on, or if you're smelling dirt and sweat on me." I'm surprised they remembered that. It has been a couple of years, after all.
"It's Satan and Beel."
"Please don't be upset. They ate the soup, too."
"I know. It's just that their scents don't mix well together. Satan's earthy, while Beel oddly smells like cheese."
"What do you smell like?"
"To other demons?" They nod. To be honest, I've not spent much time thinking about my scent.
"Beel says I smell like rain." MC breathes in loudly, trying to sniff me.
"You smell comfortable."
"Thanks?" MC smiles.
"It's soothing." We sit in silence for a bit, and I begin stroking their head. The motion seems to put MC to sleep, for their breathing slows down. Looking down, I see that their eyes are closed. They look peaceful.
I know I shouldn't let them doze for long. MC has to help the others, after all. So, I reach over to the nearby side table, grab my D.D.D., and set a 30 minute alarm.
Around the ten minute mark, I sense a shift in energy. The air feels heavier somehow. I close my eyes and focus in order to figure out where the shift is coming from. I'm a bit rusty, so it takes a few minutes before I can properly see.
And then it hits me, and the sentence that lights up in my mind makes me want to puke.
In MC's handwriting, four simple words: I have to die.
Fic Prompts: Meddling Mar
A warning this chapter for a mention of Dark Warrior Program related violence (because Praxis is just. The worst.) It will be in italics for those who wish to skip it.
(From last time:)
The king studied him for an uncomfortable moment, then his lips twisted at the corner into a smirk.
"You let me fix that haircut you gave yourself, and I'll call it even."
Jak did not appreciate Daxter's howl of laughter. Or Mar agreeing on his behalf.
Nonetheless, he had nothing to trade, and so he grudgingly agreed to let this bizarre ruler fix his hair the following day. Thankfully, Damas didn’t comment on how absolutely abysmal Jak’s handiwork really was. Instead, he just asked questions about preferred length, and what he wanted his hairline to look like.
"What do you mean hairline? I mean, doesn't it just kind of look like that normally?" Jak asked, a little bewildered.
Damas muttered something under his breath, but his expression was kind when Jak turned around.
"You have options, you know. Look at your brother’s hair. We could do it like that, or you could do a fade-"
"A what?"
"...alright, we're starting at square one, then." Damas stood up. "It's a tapered cut, essentially shaved on the sides and "fading" into the rest of the hair. Give me a minute, I think we're going to need the comb my wife uses."
"You're married?!" Mar demanded with an incredulous expression.
"Yes?" Damas raised an eyebrow. "Am I not allowed to be?"
"Well where is she, then?"
The king pointed to the window in the ward, towards the ocean.
"Fishing. She spends two days a week at sea overnight, barring storms."
"Oh. Like Ollie."
Damas didn't know who Ollie was supposed to be, but the name obviously meant something to the older boys. (Older boys: plural. That was going to take some getting used to, trying to remember that the orange mustelid looking thing was evidently a teenage boy with a very unusual condition.)
"What's she like?" Daxter asked, tiptoeing as if he could see her through the window, "Is she hot?"
He quailed under a stern look from Damas.
"She is to be respected. And while I will settle for a verbal warning for a first time, -- considering you have likely not been subjected to particularly reputable influences in Haven -- she is within her rights not to."
Daxter flattened himself against the bed, ears pinned back against his skull. He mimed zipping his lips closed and covered his mouth with both hands. Jak rolled his eyes at his friend.
"Disreputable influences, huh," he snorted. "That would be "loudmouth KG on every street corner and hour shift" in our case."
"And Torn," Mar chipped in.
There was something unusually bitter about the way Jak answered, "Sure. Torn too."
After an awkward few seconds, Jak added, "You can do the fading thing I guess. I don't care either way."
"You should," Damas grumbled, "Didn't anyone ever teach you how to take care of yourself?"
"Nnnnope."
The boy didn’t sound nearly as concerned about that as he should have.
"Ye gods and little fishes," Damas muttered under his breath.
He needed to come up with some kind of guardian, and soon. If he let these three attempt to survive on their own, his wife would skin him alive.
"Alright then. Fade it is. You make sure that razor is sharpened -- run it on the leather strop. Yes, like that -- I'm getting the comb."
It was a calculated move on his part, leaving Jak with a sharp object. It was a gesture of trust -- or more of a leap of faith. Giving Jak the sense that no one objected to him being able to protect himself, while also showing him vulnerability. If the kid was inclined, he could very well try to slit Damas’s throat. Of course, he hoped Jak wouldn't do that. It wouldn't end well for anyone involved. But maybe he'd find the gesture comforting.
Damas dug around upstairs through his wife's cluttered washroom. As sparse as it was, he was amazed by how much junk Phobos managed to drag in. It was always "I'm gonna make something out of that", but then she hopped from project to project as time allowed, leaving half finished blades and combs and cups all over every available surface -- and even some unavailable surfaces.
By the time he'd actually found the comb, Damas had accidentally knocked over a box of shells in the process of being ground up into paint, dislodged a sketch hanging over the mirror, and gotten pigment dust all over the right side of his head when he'd stood up too quickly and knocked his head on a shelf.
His attempts to hide the evidence were mostly successful, but not enough to keep the little Not-Mar from noticing a streak of gold on his cheekbone and hair. He let out a delighted shriek of laughter and pointed, so of course Jak and Daxter turned and stared too.
Ah, the judgement of teenagers. Just what everyone needs.
"Phobos booby-traps her bathroom, I swear," Damas sighed. "At least there were no snapping turtles in the sink this time."
"This time?!" Daxter echoed, alarmed. He fell back onto Mar's pillow. "Eesh. Jak used to do that too, til we got the dog."
Mar stiffened in something akin to panic. "Chopper! Where's Chopper? Did they take her too?"
"Calm down, squirt." Daxter patted Mar's knee. "I left her with Tess. She's gonna be fat and spoiled when we get her back, but Tess won't let anyone hurt her."
Mar relaxed. "Oh. I remember her, she's good."
Daxter grinned. "See? I know what I'm talkin' about." He elbowed their little brother. "Hey hey, maybe Spike King should put some of that glitter on Jak, since he's already having a spa day, huh?"
"Shut up, Dax," Jak huffed.
Jak would never have expected a haircut to be soothing -- embarrassingly.
Nobody was yanking through his tangles, complaining loudly about how "unmanageable" it was. No one was sloshing burning plant extracts into his hair, untwisting his coils into stiff, "good" hair. And somehow, Jak wasn't afraid.
The Baron’s prison had never bothered to cut their victims' hair; they hosed prisoners off to avoid vermin and wash away blood and that was the extent of it. But the Baron still had a habit of yanking prisoners around by the head on his few "inspections".
Especially Jak.
The worst had been a moment when they'd thrown him into the blood-soaked "training course", with the few other surviving members of the experiment. When Jak had refused to salute the Baron. A day when he'd been brave enough to spit in Praxis's face. Enraged, the Baron had hauled him bodily from the ground, hard enough to rip a couple of hairs from his head. He'd flung Jak headlong into the half-cover brick wall for his insolence. It had knocked out one of his canines on impact.
He still hadn't saluted.
Jak was glad they'd never figured out that his first dark transformation had completely regrown his missing tooth. He had absolutely no doubt that the experiments would've taken horrifying new turns if they'd learned about the regeneration. Jak's muscles twitched in a suppressed shudder.
Less than a second later, Damas quickly withdrew his hand.
"What is it?" he asked, "Did I hurt you?"
How had he known that had been a reaction? Even Daxter had trouble telling what was a fear reaction and what was just a spasm.
"Muscle spasm," Jak lied, "Sorry. It happens sometimes."
"....uh-huh."
Damas didn’t sound like he was completely convinced, but he didn't say anything more about it. He rinsed his comb in a bowl of water and continued easing through Jak's hair, gathering it up with a clip on the top of his head. Once or twice he sat back and made thoughtful humming sounds.
"Well, young man, now we find out how well you sharpened that razor." Damas held a hand out, just waiting.
Jak held his breath.
And handed him the blade.
"Well done. I'll be quick," Damas murmured. He trimmed and shaved in careful motions, pausing whenever the castaway tensed up. "This won't take as long as your brother’s hair did-"
Then he whispered, "-and clearly I won't have to bribe you to sit still like I had to with him."
After pausing to imagine the strange king trying to comb a squirming, thrashing Mar's hair, Jak scoffed and grinned.
"Yeah, that sounds about right."
They descended into silence, and Mar lost interest after a minute or two. He slid off his bed and began boldly rifling through Damas’s bag before the man reached back and caught his wrist.
"Excuse you!" Damas scolded, "What do you think you're doing?"
Mar shrugged. "Looking for the peg game."
"So ask, barbarian!" Damas gently pushed Mar away. "Pick a pocket like that in the city and you'll bring more trouble down on your head than it's worth. No more of that, understand?"
The little boy scowled. "Your hands were busy! Asking makes people mad at you for bothering them, anyway. What are you scolding me for?"
Wolves. They were raised by wolves. For a moment, Damas felt like he was dealing with one of Mar’s tantrums.
He stared at the little boy incredulously and leaned forward.
"Ask. First. We aren't mind readers. And this isn’t Haven."
Mar's frown deepened. "Fine. Can I have the peg game?"
"I didn't bring it today," Damas answered, "But you may get the green canvas bag out and play Pathway if you like."
"That one's hard!" Mar complained with a frustrated grunt. Nonetheless, he pulled out the bag and undid the drawstring to unfold it into a game board.
Jak raised his brows and studied the nondescript grid on the mat. "How does this work?"
Daxter shuffled a stack of battered cardboard squares with lines on them and separated them from several tiny figures.
"You start at a corner and put down tiles to make a road. Can't cross another line or go off the board or you're out."
"You have to trap other travelers in loops or send them off the mat," Mar added.
He pouted.
"Daxter always wins."
This, Jak was shortly to discover, was not an exaggeration. At their warden/potential new boss person's encouragement, Jak picked up a token and joined the game, only to find himself cornered within three turns. Daxter wasn't even that good at the game; Jak and Mar were simply too impulsive to consider strategy on something that wasn't life or death. (And even when things were life or death, they were still reckless.) Now and then Damas made an observation or suggestion, but for the most part he focused on Jak’s hair.
After getting his token run off the board for the seventh time, Jak was getting frustrated. Still, he was too stubborn to admit defeat -- especially in front of someone he was probably going to end up working for. (It was the only way he could think of to pay off whatever their medical care had cost, anyway.)
He was about to demand another rematch when he heard the razor drop into the bowl with a soft splash.
Damas thumped him on the shoulder in a kind of rough, playful gesture and stood to shake hair clippings onto the floor. There was more of it than Jak had expected.
"You're done. Look in this and tell me what you think."
He handed Jak a small, scratched mirror, no bigger than his fist.
Jak stared into the glass and a stranger stared back at him.
The face in the mirror looked softer, rounder. More like Mar than he'd ever believed possible. He was still pale, but it almost looked like the dark circles under his eyes were fading away.
With one finger, Jak traced the sharp, neat, line delineating his forehead from his hair. It would take some getting used to. But he liked how the sides of his head looked.
"Oh," he said softly.
"Oh?" Damas repeated, "Is that good or bad?"
"Good, I think." Jak ran his fingertips through gold coils -- the green was starkly obvious at his temples now -- and idly twisted a longer strand around one finger. "I look..."
I look like someone cares about stuff like my hair. Never had that before.
"It's new," he settled on.
"Better than before, at least," the king said. He shook the last stray hairs from his tunic.
Someone cleared their throat from behind them, and both Jak and Damas turned to find one of the monks a few feet away at the door. She looked faintly perturbed by something -- Jak wondered if seeing a king doing menial tasks was normal or not here -- but waited to be acknowledged. Immediately, Damas gathered up the comb and razor and left their alcove.
"Strip your bedding after the noon rest," he ordered, a little distractedly, "You'll be moving to Alma's building tonight, so your beds need to be ready for new patients."
Then he hurried to the corridor to speak with the monk.
"Ruth, yes? What is it?"
The woman glanced over his shoulder at the boys, and the lines around her mouth deepened. "Word from the medical records keepers, sire."
She fidgeted with the hem of her sleeve, clearly uncomfortable. "It's about the young exiles."
Damas ignored the foreboding whisper in the back of his mind and held his customary facade of stoic thoughtfulness. "Already? I was under the impression that the cheek swabs wouldn't yield results for another two weeks."
A muscle twitched in Ruth's ghostly white cheek. "Tam sent me to inform you that their gene samples are causing some trouble in the system. He requires four extra days to ensure that there has been no contamination of the samples during transfer. In the meantime, he had a question regarding the childrens' fingerprint records. There is an anomaly we are unable to account for, despite it being completely impossible."
"What kind of anomaly?"
Despite the heat of the afternoon, Damas felt a chill across the back of his neck when the monk answered him.
"The younger boy's fingerprints are fully identical to the elder one's, down to the last line. In all ways save the size, they are the prints of the same person."
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? - I LOVE IT. i don't think i've done it but i really should do a fic where someone speaks french...
19. First fandom you wrote for? - omg if we're talking first ever time i wrote within an existing universe then it was for the philippa fisher books in 5th grade, i think i wrote some for a school assignment? but if we're referring to first time i wrote fanfic and called it fanfic, then it would be haikyuu i think
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? - give me one good honest kiss always always always. i have never outdone it imo and i love it very much <3
as for tagging: anyone who wants to!
It's our 5th weekly smiles!!! Please enjoy the read
What made me smile this week?
Monday, 8/26/24 - today is our first day of school! After many months, today, we get a general idea of all the classes! In my first period, we had to introduce ourselves, what year we were in, and what we wanted to be when we grew up. Those types of questions, then we made a name tent, in which you put your name and then draw what you like on the front. I had fun with that, and it's due Friday. We then got a rundown of the class and then played a funny game of what came first. Chicken or the egg, we had to get up out of our seats, in my case, just be in my seat, lol. Then we had to be in different groups per question. There were about 4 or 5 questions, and we had fun with it. We then got introduced to the website we will be using! After that, I headed to the second period; in the second period, we had to create another name tent that had our name and three adjectives that describe our personality using some letters of our name. We then did a lab where we estimated what time Mrs Mauney put the ice cubes in the little beaker that had a dropper at the end. Our team did not get it right since she eliminated our answer choice, but other teams are very close! Plus, we got a free 100 anyway! Woo, tomorrow she Will be announcing which team got it right. May the best team win! I then headed to lunch as I had my first lunch! And I got a yummy salad with chicken, cheese, onions, and Italian dressing! It was very good and worth the wait. After lunch, I headed to third, where we got to learn all the rules of the class and then do a little fingerprint activity. It was a large fingerprint on a sheet of paper, and inside each ridge, you had to write information about yourself. It was pretty cool! Then, after that, we got a lab sheet that showed different stations of fun things/ scientific things, and it wasn't bad! I have all the parts of the microscope left! Then, in the fourth period, I got to be in class with my friend, and we sat the whole class laughing and learning. We did another name tent very simple, and then we made some sticky notes where we had to put what we wanted to learn from the class. Before that, we made a table of contents! It was fun, and now, at home, we're enjoying a warm bowl of potato soup! We experienced the Subway Surfers New World tour and unlocked Billy Bean! Which is always fun! Now we're headed to bed this whole day made me smile!
Tuesday, 8/27/24 - it's my three-month ALS anniversary!! Although I'm not excited about losing a whole percent of body strength! I am excited for what's to come and how far I've come within three months today in the morning we chilled on the game Subway Surfers and talked morning later on we went to the bus stop and talked about our second day of school and then we headed to school in the first period we did a bell ringer which was pretty difficult but I got it done! Then we did this honeycomb beehive activity where we had to connect different things based on their function but also match them with another thing it was tough but thankfully I got it done and then for the rest of class we worked on an assignment in which we had to pretend to be a physical therapist and write things down about a certain patient the patient is not real. Then we went to the second period and began to talk about the syllabus and class rules. Not long after, we got called for our senior meeting! We had a fun time hearing all that they said and the beautiful messages. We got longer-form videos and, sadly, only one tiny video! So we'll put that in the weekly smiles post! Then I came back to a syllabus scavenger hunt. I got to skip most of it and just do the sticker section, so that was fun. Then at lunch, I got to enjoy a yummy salad without cheese sadly but That's ok I had chicken and onions on my salad which was basic but yummy after lunch came the third period we finished up the rest of the lab and finished with it we then played a game of Myth or Fact that was fun! And then, in the fourth period, we did a speed dating thing that was also pretty fun, and then we just went home and chilled for the day! Today made me smile!
Wednesday, 8/28/24 - I woke up and then we took a pretty picture of a tree that was paired with the beautiful sun it was very pretty in the first period we worked on an assignment that we had to write a summary on our patients and wasn't hard and I got it done within thirty minutes we also talked about our struggles and things one girl shared she broke her femur during a car accident and couldn't walk for 3 months! And it happened last year so I hope she is doing well! In the second period, we worked on a density lab where we had to place metal in a graduated cylinder and water to measure its density or something like that! Soon after that, we just made notes! And then we went to third, where I just had yummy salad, except they gave me a whole chicken tender, lol, instead of chicken bites. Hey, I'm not complaining, just shocked 😳! Then, after that, we just worked on forensic work and got to see our first lab! It was pretty cool and fun to do! Then in the fourth period, we just chilled and worked on notes most of the class we chilled at home :) today made me smile!
Thursday, 8/29/24 - today, we just chilled in the morning. Sadly, I had to rush and edit a little video! In the first period, we just got new assignments so that was fun I completed them all in one day the rest of first period just went chill like normal then went to chemistry where we did a card separating activity between molecules and atoms we did some notes and found out that mr s mauney might be behaving her baby September 13th and she will give us an email stating whether or not shes had the baby I wish her all the best in her recovery! Soon after that we got to chill on our phones in third period we started talking about the rules and expectations in her class like a little worksheet type of paper then we took some notes on the temporal lob and other parts of the brain then she told us some story's on this day she said my brain had done something weird I imagined a snake in my dreams and i don't dream about snakes but apparently her husband who sleeps with a C-Pap his mask had kinda un-hooked and it made a hissing sound then another time is when they were very poor back then with there children they would change there kid on there kitchen countertop and in this particular moment the husband was changing the diaper and it wasn't just wet there was obviously poop and they had cloth diapers because they couldn't afford the disposable so not everything would gracefully stay in the diaper and a few minutes later there was some poop on the counter (not actually) but the husband perceived that but in reality it was just some cookie dough that dropped on the counter so she scooped it up with her finger and ate it he started gagging and said you just ate poop and she pointed to the oven meaning it was just some cookie dough that is all that we heard but it horrific yet funny! Then, in the fourth, we sat and chilled, doing a get-to-know-me/ personality poster. Sadly, Willams and Donny's computer was acting weird and kept saying ¨, please do not power off your device” because apparently, the computer was doing some type of critical update! But we went home and chilled, had some yummy mam witch, and were laughing, and listening to Instagram audios that night. Today made me smile!
Friday, 8/30/24 - this morning, I woke up at 6:00 Am, which is rare lol. I chilled and lay in my warm blankets! And then I got ready. As we were heading out the door, I remembered I had left all my jewelry, lol! And they had to help put on my bracelets, my ring, and my necklace, so it was a little bit hectic. We then chilled on the bus and tried to push our way through the entrance because, apparently, so many people wanted to be in the walkway! We chilled for a bit and then headed to class. Since I did not have any work to do in the first period, I just updated some long overdue descriptions, lol! And then I tried filling up my water bottle, but that took forever. It took like 3 minutes, lol! It was kinda funny yet gruesome to wait for my 30-z water bottle to fill up. Lol, I've been typing most of the class, just mainly working on description! Sadly Willam and donnys computer situation is not looking any better I see no progress and it still seems to be having its ¨critical update¨ gosh annoying computers then in the second period since Mrs. Mauney was out we chilled and had a sub I said Hi how are you and she said Hey how are you I said good I sat and chilled for a bit we got our name tents and a new student joined us and sat at our table he seemed pretty chill! We are now doing attendance, and the announcements had a weird cheer thing, which is weird because they never do that. It caught me off guard, lol. Then we worked on a very large paper assignment. It was about matters and things, but I finally got it done! And now I'm chilling here, drinking my water and typing my little heart away. The simplest of things make me smile! Now we're getting ready for yummy lunch! After that, we just chilled in Mrs Churches class and just hung out at home. We had a fun time, and big Donny can officially do thumbnails on his YouTube channel! “Donny & Sc injury” today made me smile!
Saturday, 8/31/24 - today, I woke up around 7:44 Am, waking up many hours before that, lol 12:00 Am and 3:00 a.m. I chilled the rest of that morning, then we chilled for a while in the afternoon, then Donny got to see nostalgic memories on an old phone! He thought it was very cool and so breathtaking to see all those old videos and photos! Then we went to Mack's house for a while! Which we haven't done in a while. We swam for a while! Then a horsefly came up and we were screaming and saying bitch at the fly! We were laughing, yet terrified James killed it, and we thought there was no more of them, and during the time of the first horsefly, we said, " What if another one comes back!” And sure enough, it fucking did, lol (sorry for the language; I usually keep this PG, but to be honest, this was scary as fuck. So I apologize for being overly dramatic in the cuss words!) But sure enough, it did come back. We kept Dunking underwater, lol, and we eventually gave up and went inside. Sadly, the pool day ended shortly, but we did get some McDonald's at the beginning of the trip, and it certainly made me smile. Sadly, Donny is having his major pacemaker surgery tonight at 11:00 Pm! So we have to stay up until 6:00 Am! Until he gets out of surgery, it will be the scariest wait of our life, and we will update you on further information into Sundays or this entry! Who knows, but keep reading. So far, it's 9:51 pm, so it's only a short 1 hour and 9 minutes away! We pray for Donny to make it out of this surgery in Good health! We love you so much, Donny! And we pray you make it out of this surgery! This is such a scary operation and we wish you all the best! - we will give you further updates as we get News! It is 10:50 P.m., and it's 10 minutes till Donny's surgery again. We wish him luck!!
Sunday, 9/1/24 - it's now 11:00 P.m., so it's quite not Sunday, but it's so close. Donny is now in surgery. He needs 6 hours and 59 minutes remaining.. we are beyond scared and hoping he survives the surgery. We love you, Donny; ok, it's now 8:07. thankfully, the nurses took great care of him, and he survived the surgery! He seems fine as of right now! And now we found out that Williams's eye swelled! Overnight, what is the week doing to all of us? we are getting haircuts and going to the mall today! At first, we went to the drug store for our parents to buy cigarettes. Then we went to Dollar Tree, and Mom got many things lol, but we got some vanilla cream cookies! Then we headed to Great Clips and got our haircut! It looks good and we're good with how it turned out! Then we went to the mall. Mom and Dad enjoyed their movie, and shortly after, we went to Five Below and bought some things! But the most important thing we bought was a new bag that was for overheating, and catheter storage since our old bag sucked. Lol, we already find the new bag beneficial! Then we bought a spray bottle for overheating/fake sweat 💦 since we cannot sweat. Promise, all the things we bought were not just for medical purposes lol! After that, we visited Claire's and saw a cute mushroom 🍄 plushie! Then we sat for a while, and now we're munching on our chips and sitting on a bench for a while! We are having fun so far! We soon arrived home and are now chilling getting everything unpacked and organized! We are definitely smiling! There was a bad storm, and it frightened us at how loud the lightning was! But we're ok now and we're chilling! But today was very busy but it certainly made me smile!
Hi I’ve followed your acc for a while and this is kinda personal so please don’t feel like you have to answer but as someone who is really probably a closeted transmasc, how did you feel when you transitioned?
Were there any drawbacks? What was the best part? Did people accept you?
Thank you so much for reading this it would really mean a lot to me. I’ve been struggling with dysphoria since I was 8 (I’m now about to go into hs) and I always end up walking the line between full-on guy and very tomboyish girl. I’ve been told by a lot of my friends that I’m “basically a guy” (not like as a “not like the others girls” thing) I like the idea of feminine things in my head. But then if I go to do them or to wear a certain thing then I feel this immense wave of “no no no this is wrong your ugly you bitch wtf” sometimes it’s so bad I just have to sit down and close my eyes. Thankfully it rarely happens in public and if it does it’s a lot milder. It seems to get triggered by seeing myself in the mirror when I look to feminine.
hi! so I haven't actually medically transitioned yet but I do bind, and I'm also not fully out to all my classmates.
how do you feel?
I felt really relieved that I could actually be myself but the actual process of me finding out I was trans was really difficult, I first started out as non binary, then transmasc non binary and now I'm full he/him transmasc, so don't worry if you don't have that figured out yet! I also do still experience dysphoria, but just about my chest, I don't care about my junk that much. binding thankfully helps the top dysphoria and packing is just something I do from time to time when I feel like it.
we're there any drawbacks?
oh god yes, I lost a few friends over it and some people who get a hold of that information will use it against you, I am afraid of starting hrt due to the long process and also because of possible future employers being transphobic and the sort, also seeing your rights as a trans person being taken from you is very scary, however the feeling of actually being able to present how you want makes me forget temporarily about that, and fighting for your rights and others rights is of utmost importance to me.
did people accept you?
not everyone did, I've lost maybe 3 friends because of me being trans and some of my friends parents don't approve of me being trans either, however they tolerate it. it took a stern talking to by my aunt to my parents for them to start accepting me but my sister was okay with it from the get-go, my close friends have also been chill with my past identities and my current one. my extended family also now knows about me being trans and I'm not sure what their stance is since I don't see them that often due to them living in a different country.
if you would like please shoot me a DM and I can try and help you some more! I obviously won't tell you how to present or anything but I can give you things that I do as a transmasc that might help you too!
thank you so much for the ask and I really hope this post helped you a bit! and I wish you luck in finding out your identity !!
Break Me Slowly|Part 10|Yandere Levi x Evelyn
Tumblr media
A/N: It's so crazy to think that we're already at 10 parts, you have no idea how happy it makes me that people are actually interested in this short story of utter filth XD, I love the support so much and all the oneshot requests!
WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, manipulation, domestic abuse, yandere themes, forced marriage, forced pregnancy, stockholm syndrome, violence, mind breaking, misogyny, etc.
=============================================
Levi props himself up with one elbow and stares down at Evelyn, she was still embarrassed because of her behaviour earlier, she had promised not to let Levi know that he could make her feel good. His fingers caressed her cheek, a soft smile playing on his lips as the high of sex still filled him.
"For someone who hates me so much you sure you had no problem taking my dick."
Evelyn glares at him with indignation but he can't take it seriously with her deep blush.
He chuckles and kisses her forehead. "Maybe now that you realize what I can offer you won't be stupid and try to escape again."
"I won't Levi-" She says quickly.
"Don't play dumb, I know you would try in a heartbeat, which is why in the morning you're coming with me to work. If a fortress can't keep you in check then my boot will." He let that sink in a moment before pulling her close to his chest and falling asleep.
=============================================
The next day Levi struts proudly into his office, his wife on his arm, he enjoyed all the looks others gave him. He enjoyed the whispers of people who were curious as to who it was married to the famous Captain Levi of the Scouts. To those who knew who Evelyn was it swelled his ego that everyone knew she belonged to him. She was his.
He kept her in check by the firm grip on her arm, and the gear her wore under his uniform. One false move and he would at least threaten to end her life. In reality though he would simply cause her immense pain. Thankfully he didn't think he'd have to do this since she seemed to get the picture. When he brought her into his office he sat her on the small sofa, she was dressed up only for him. Her maroon dress was cut just low enough he could get a glimpse of her cleavage but no one else could, the half sleeves hiding the worst of his bruises, as well as the tea length. She was stunning as always.
After an hour or two he glanced at his watch and then up at her, she was staring at her hands, not daring to move out of place. His chest swelled with pride at her obedience.
"You've been so good," He waves her off nonchalantly. "Go make my tea, no one has been able to replace you in that regard."
Evelyn seems surprised that he would allow her to do that but she didn't need to be told twice. She slowly rises from her chair and exits his office, making her way down the halls to the small officer's kitchen.
==============================================
Petra had entered the kitchen to start Captain Levi's tea and was caught off guard by Evelyn there beating her to it. Her looks hadn't changed in the slightest, but something in her manner and the way she carried herself definitely had. She wasn't as happy as she used to be, optimistic, and her ever present smile was gone. If this was the case then it made sense why Levi had shown no interest in Petra, clearly Levi desired that moody and brooding personality more than a cheerful one. Although it would be annoying now that Petra would have to change her personality again to match Evelyn's in hopes of getting Levi's attention.
Since Evelyn wouldn't strike up conversation first like she normally did Petra was forced to at least try and be polite. "I can make his tea."
"No thank you, I've got it." Even Evelyn's voice was quieter, like she had closed in on herself. This could be a good thing though, a boring girl would never keep the Captain's interest.
"Since you retired I've kind of taken over doing it, he's very particular and I'm sure you don't remember how."
"I didn't retire Petra, I've just been taken temporarily off active duty. Which means, I still have rank over you and can decide who makes Levi his damn tea."
Goodness was she infuriating, it was if she knew deep down what Petra was planning.
"I just think you should relax and not exert yourself, I don't think you know how much he cares about his tea."
Evelyn places the cups on the tray with a fake smile. "Oh trust me I know."
Petra feels herself losing the argument so she grabs the tray. "I insist, let me." She tries to hold back the venom in the words.
"I said I've got it." Evelyn tries to pull it back a little but not enough to spill it.
"It's easy Evelyn, just give it over-"
Evelyn huffs and pushes the tray towards her. "Be my guest, you can have him." She turns on her heel and walks out.
=============================================
Levi looks up as Petra enters with his tea, confusion coming to his face. "Where is my wife?"
"Evelyn said she just had to go to the bathroom so I made your tea for you so it wouldn't be late."
Levi picks it up gingerly and tastes it, maybe Petra had been paying attention finally since this time it tasted like it should. "Thank you Petra."
Part of him worried what would happen if he wasn't watching Evelyn, but he was sure she wouldn't get into too much trouble.
=============================================
Evelyn hurried down the halls as quickly as her high heels could carry her without looking suspicious or tripping. Thankfully she had been down these halls many times and knew exactly where she was going.
She knocked urgently on Erwin's office door, not letting up until he opened it with his one arm, looking at her surprised.
"Evelyn, this is a surprise, won't you come in."
Evelyn hurries inside, sitting down and collecting herself and catching her breath.
Erwin closes the door and strides back to his desk. "Now. How can I help you? Would you like some tea?"
"No, thank you, I just need to talk."
"Yes of course, what is it?"
"It's Levi, Erwin I don't know what happened to him but he's nothing like you know. He's lying to you, he lied to us both about this marriage. It wasn't just a sham, he consummated it, he made me consummate it Erwin. I didn't have a choice. Since then he's kept me locked away and forced himself on me time and time again. He's obsessed with the idea of getting me pregnant and loses his mind if anyone who's a man looks at me. I tried to escape once and he threatened to beat me senseless. And while he hasn't done it to the point of senselessness he has beaten me many times if I "talk back" or "misbehave". I need help Erwin, and you and Hange are the only ones I have to turn to. I know Hange can't do anything but as Commander of the Scouts you can, you can arrest him, court martial him, the whole nine yards. Please Erwin, I need you to help me, I'm begging you to believe me. I know it sounds crazy from the Levi we know but I'm telling you it's true. Please just, believe me."
Erwin is silent for a long moment, so long Evelyn's heart is pounding in her ears. The silence stretches on longer still until finally Erwin straightens up and leans towards her over the desk.
"I believe you." Was all he said.
Her eyes brighten. "You do? You don't question it? Oh thank you Erwin- thank you so much-"
He nods, standing. "I think I know what's best for you. If you follow me everything will be alright."
Gratefully she stands and follows him, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible to avoid drawing attention to herself. She puts her trust in him completely.
Finally they come to a door and he opens it, making Evelyn stop in confusion. "But wait this is Levi's office-"
He looks down at her coldly. "Yes it is." He says before shoving her inside.
Levi looks up with first confusion and then annoyance. "What is this?"
Erwin blocks her escape. "It seems we weren't clear in our deal Levi, control your wife. She came to my office begging for freedom. Control her or lose her." He turns quickly and leaves.
Levi turns his attention to her. "What am I going to do with you?"
Long share.
I know there's still a little over a month left in the year, but what a year.
We had a record breaking winter with snowfall this year. We had a thousand-year storm (Hillary) come through that did severe damage to our mountain (thankfully no loss of life).
A week ago all the roads on the mountain completed the re-opening process. Though many of the hiking trails and parking lots remain closed. Some will remain so indefinitely. We live within a National Forest, and National Recreation Area, just to give you an idea of why things are being handled the way they are.
Our library is re-opening today which I am very happy about and will be going up there this afternoon to visit. It's been 3 months almost to the day since the flood that did damage to our little library and forced her to close.
On personal notes: I'm back in therapy. I'm working on my own spiritual journey again. My husband traveled all over the world this year for work.
Some of you may remember back on Dec. 31, 2020 our oldest got married. She and her (then fiance) bought a house together earlier that year, then he joined the Army after their wedding. This past summer he was deployed and when he came home he told our daughter that he wanted a divorce and there was no changing his mind. We were all devastated most of all of course our daughter, and she's still healing from this. Their divorce is technically final but they are still joined financially until they sell their home. She just needs all this to be behind her. When he told her he wanted the divorce he also told her that he'd been thinking about it for the better part of a year - seriously??!! So yeah, a lot of crap she's been going through.
We helped her find a place to live, she got a summer job that then led to a full time job and she's liking it and it will hopefully lead to a job (either within that company or elsewhere) in an area she really wants to be in. She's in a conservation job and wants to stay within that kind of work.
Our son got a second job and is loving it. He still has his first job for now but that may eventually go away. In the meantime while he works a lot of hours, he likes the extra money.
Our youngest ended her University journey as a student, and is now working as a farm hand at an equine research facility. She loves it, though it's hard work both physically and emotionally. We also helped her find an apartment where she's living.
We visited our other middle child this past summer and that was an amazing trip. We had such a great time, and have been itching to go back ever since. They are finishing up their Master's degree this year. I don't know yet if they're going for their Dr. right away or at all. They've loved the time they've had at their University and where they live. I hope wherever they go next, or if they stay there, they're are as happy as they have been this past year or so.
We've done some more house projects - electrical stuff, small retaining wall, steps leading to the propane tank up the embankment (the gas delivery people LOVE it as they no longer have to literally crawl up the embankment to deliver our gas!) We have more projects on deck for next year (it's always something!). We're still helping to support 3 of our children - it's a tough world out there financially and I truly don't understand how people think young people starting out, or anyone having to start over can do it on their own? We are very grateful that we have the ability to help our kids as we know so many families can't. It breaks my heart.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving here in the US and it will be the first Thanksgiving in almost 30 years where it's just hubby and I. It's going to feel so weird!! But, it will be a nice quiet day just the two of us (oh and our oldest's dog who we are dog sitting that day). But all the kids will be here for Christmas and my birthday so I'm super excited about that.
I hope this year has been a good one for you all, and if it's had its challenges like ours has then I hope you've come through them all in a way that is suitable for you, and you have peace with the outcomes. If you're still struggling I hope that peace will come soon. And I hope that next year is better for us all.
