No, that’s not right. He knows exactly why: the stupid Assavadevathin heir had insisted on visiting a human club while in Meenanagarin. If Ramil had the capability to be sympathetic, he might understand that Khanin has gone through several incredible shocks one after the other. Not only is he the secret heir to royalty, he's also just learned he's a near-immortal vampire. Someone in that situation might search for something familiar amidst an entirely foreign situation—like a human club similar to those he could frequent freely only a few months ago.

But Ramil is nothing if not unsympathetic, and if it weren’t for Paytai accepting Ava’s invitation, he would have stayed in his chambers... so he supposes he has his companion to blame for all this. Even Charan had no qualms about this whole outing, so Ramil was well and truly outnumbered in his disgust. He doesn’t understand why anyone would like this kind of place—his nose is assaulted by a cocktail of horrendous scents wafting from the direction of the bathroom, and the loud music was clearly not chosen for vampires judging by the ringing in Ramil’s hypersensitive ears.

So here Ramil sits, at the bar, nursing a drink and feeling the alcohol burn through his borrowed blood far faster than he anticipated.
