This is ABSOLUTELY included. Forgive my ramble here, mental word-salad from psychosis is being a bit hard to formulate words with.

This is about protecting and uplifting each other. Society is not right about deeming a lot of us as scary, and we should be able to be ourselves even if people make assumptions based on what we look like, what we call ourselves, or what we're doing. Those who are particularly unsafe to be themselves or be seen due to societal pressure, especially BIPOC as they face a large amount of societal unjust fear, are to be protected by those of us able to. As a term, terrorpunk has no room for racism. None.

And this is not about harming people or putting them in dangerous situations for fun, this is about protecting those who are "scary", and protecting them fiercely. That means EVERYONE. This is about being you where you can, normalising things people would rather sweep under the rug. Even if you can't be open and you publicly, knowing within yourself that even if people see you as something to be feared, you are a being worthy of life and love and caring and rights, and extending that support to your community to the best of your ability.

It's about uplifting and caring for other "scary" individuals, and breaking down your own barriers of internalised fear or societal perceptions. Realising that being scared or unknowing is not a reason to hate, and instead embracing minorities with love and kindness, while defending them fiercely at the same time.

Oh yes, I have quite a few Rain Code headcanons, some of which I shared here too. For example, not long ago thoughts began to arise in my head about the eating habits and cooking skills of nda detectives, and I would like to share my headcanons about that

Yuma: We all know that Yuma is terrible in cooking. However, speaking about his taste preferences, since he doesn't remember the taste of food that he ate in the past, for him every dish is a new discovery. He may not express it strongly, but he likes to try new things and is in search of his favorite taste

Yakou: He isn't the most professional cook, but among the detectives he is the best. However, he rarely cooks, preferring ready-to-eat food from the store, coffee and meat buns, of course. In general, Yakou has a very chaotic diet. He sometimes skips some of the food rations and in general his diet cannot be called healthy

Halara: They never cook because they don't find the time to do so, but if they wanted, Halara could easily and quickly learn to cook. They mostly eat in cafes/restaurants and believe me, there always delicious food of excellent quality on their plate. I think Halara spare no expense for quality food

Desuhiko: He has basic cooking skills and can easily cook himself something like grilled cheese or scrambled eggs. Although Desuhiko often eats fast food and drinks sugary soda, he really enjoys home-cooked food. Desuhiko also often eats something popular because it is fashionable or to attract attention to himself

Fubuki: On the one hand, Fubuki prefers healthy and light foods that are easy to eat. On the other hand, she is always ready for discoveries and loves to try street food. Fubuki has never cooked, but she would love to try. But it will be better if she cooks with someone....

Vivia: He rarely eats and mostly eats something like a piece of bread or anything that is easy to get, doesn't require cooking and is easy to eat. I think Vivia ate little since childhood (when there are many kids in a family, it's difficult to feed them all), and he got used to feeling hunger and ignoring it. But he will not refuse the food that was cooked and brought to him. In fact, Vivia doesn’t really care what food he eats. In his heart, it will be more important to him that he eats food with someone

Hi ❤️ i do not, which is why my fics are so stupidly long😕 i have “can’t kill my darlings” syndrome, i have way too much to say and i don’t know how to prioritize what it is i want to say, so i say EVERYTHING. i genuinely believe my fics would be sooo much better if they were edited by someone else. someone who isn’t afraid to look at a scene/sentence and say “that’s stupid as fuck/not as successful as u want it to be, cut it.” im still in the process of editing so liiiiike if you have any issues with my fics literally just dm me to tell me what’s dumb/not working & what i should cut, it would actually be sooo helpful (you can ignore this most recent fic bc the whole point of that was stuff that would’ve been cut anyway lol)

i would have loved a beta reader but … you know me, i am so shit at time management and deadlines that 1.) i never had time for a beta reader because i am always over deadline by the time i finish a fic draft (like the slider one shot, which i said i would post last November and actually posted in April, 5 mo later)

and 2.) i never share ACTUAL wips with anyone, not even on wednesdays. My wip wednesdays are, and always have been, a total sham. most of my wips usually look like this

right up until like the week before i post them. like EVERY SINGLE scene looks like this, incomprehensible to anyone except me with my little delusions in my head, until i pull a few all- nighters and brute-force the transitions and the actions into place. so like i can’t share a real draft with anyone until (in my opinion) it’s basically passable enough to be a final draft anyway, especially for fanfic, like, my standards Are lower for “good enough” when it comes to fanfic. Above ⬆️ becomes below⬇️. obviously this ⬇️ isn’t perfect and will still need a final pass edit but it’s 🤷🏽‍♀️ good enough

what i really need a beta for is to tell me, in no uncertain terms, if this level of detail/the existence of this scene itself is actually ever warranted. lol.

3.) as previously mentioned i can’t hold a deadline/reply to messages on time to save my life so any beta would absolutely despise working with me i fear

Idk if you've spoken about it before, but what is Mevolent and Valkyrie's relationship in your SoW au like?

Nobody has ever sent asks about my SoW au before so that’s completely uncharted territory for you to explore

After Valkyrie is captured and is spending her days hanging around in the castle, she and Mevolent act a lot like friends (bickering, sharing ideas, chatting, etc), with Mevolent occasionally giving her assignments. Mev also often teases her about her wanting to leave (I imagine he vaguely objectifies all three of his generals, so that’s more of a him thing) and will, in the same cheery voice, threaten to send her to the dungeon again if she’s misbehaving.

Valkyrie definitely doesn’t like Mevolent but she has literally no choice but to interact with him and choosing to interact with him in a way that simulates a normal friendship for her is a way that she copes with her situation (I imagine she does something similar with Vengeous as well).

Mevolent doesn’t necessarily care for Valkyrie, but he does like her because she’s smart, witty, and very expressive. Vile hates talking and is kind of an edgelord and Vengeous is ultra-serious round the clock, but Valkyrie makes for an actually interesting conversation and he finds her attempts to escape him amusing.

When she does misbehave in a way that will get her punished, Mevolent usually acts a lot scarier for a moment before ordering that she be taken to the dungeons. The two of them also never mention the torturing, ever. Vile definitely has a preference for Valkyrie but he refuses to help her when this happens, so Valkyrie becomes pretty well-behaved pretty quickly because she doesn’t want her support network taken away from her.

Hi. Who do you think joined Bruno's team first - Narancia or Abbacchio? I always thought it was Abbacchio. But there are many fanfics and fanarts where Narancia was first. So I wondered.

Note: I know you didn’t ask for the placement of everyone in Bruno’s squad but I figured it would be helpful to other people.

I believe the reason for that is that when we get to see Narancia’s backstory in chapter 33/episode 10, we see that Fugo is also part of Bruno’s squad at the time Narancia first joined.

And Fugo seems to be depicted as the first member of Bruno’s squad in both the anime and PHF (as we don’t have a canonical past for Fugo in the manga), in spite of their differences.

Leone’s backstory in the manga doesn’t state how he met Bruno. In the anime, his placement isn’t very explicit either. However in PHF, Leone is implied to have joined a bit after Narancia if we consider the fact that Fugo’s recollection of the past is in a linear fashion.

In the manga, Mista’s first meeting with Bruno and everyone else isn’t shown but in the anime they decided to add this particular scene.

From this, we can infer that David Production intended the order of their affiliation to be Fugo, Narancia, Leone and then Mista. And even if we aren’t using the anime’s canon, it still matches up.

Luckily (or unluckily) for everyone, since none of this information is in the manga, you can technically disregard any of this and make your own conclusions.

25 : What topic do they know a lot about that is completely useless to the direct plot ?

Well, Xangr hides the true lengths of his knowledge for his own safety. He often assures to appear as someone uncultured because of how easier it makes things for him. Most of the time, he pretends to be a mere dancer from the ashlands, where spelling is a rare skill, or what may look like a sex worker - he thinks that people underestimating him is the best situation he could hope for... But if you talk with him a lot, under many covers and masks, there is an over-enthousiastic autistic goblin. Xangr knows much, about many specific topics. He reads a WHOLE LOT and spended many many years copying books for the Mage Guild then the Worm Cult. He's impressively sharp in everything that touches to Oblivion and/or biology - he loooves telling people about liminality, daedric planes and (un)natural phenomenons, so when there is a safe opportunity, he speaks a lot.

He once met a maormer called Kelondil, with whom, moved by curiosity, he had sexual intercourses. He just HAD to check if maormers, like snakes or sharks, had two penises... and he talks way too much about his discoveries to EVERYONE that slightly mentions the subject. You cannot stop him. He's a master in making people uncomfortable with incessant infodumping when he feels fine somewhere.

Most of the time, it is not helpful, and he can not restrain himself. An other subject he's very found of is clothing/makeup. Xangr is the kind of mer to help you with your eyeliner and giving you tips and explanations while braiding your hair. He just loves taking care of himself, everything he wears is thought and well agenced. It is rarely useful, except a time he helped a young woman to dress as an Altmer and did all her costuming. It was such a nice RP, they're precious friend daysince.

48 : Who would they say "yes" to if invitated to do something they abhorred/strongly didn't want to ?

Depends.

If it is only a matter of taste (Xangr for exemple does not like noble parties), then he can do an exception for someone he sees as precious that would appreciaite his companionship. Those people are rare. He's an extremely peaceful mer. If his presence helps you and you're close enough, for exemple to soothe anxiety like it has been the case few times, Xangr will come with you. He will not enjoy his time, but he will remain calm, keep an eye on you and cheer you up. Just do not ask him to actively be a part of the party, he finds most people to be boring as hell and tolerates badly boredom. Let him stare at flowers, pick his nails, stim with his jewelry, pay respect to his regular need of loneliness then you'll have a loyal friend that would gladly share your pain. If you're doing something you love and are passionate about, Xangr will appreciate your enthousiasm and remain with you. You just have to assure you do not ask more of him he agreed to give, and he'll great you with apparent neverending patience and tenderness. He soothes people, it would not be a first for him.

The other case... Is if he identifies danger wheresoever. You can NOT drag him somewhere he feels even vaguely threatened. He will dodge the Mage Guild bc he fears they may remember him and throw his masquerade away. He fears people may take a guess for his past and flees anytime strangers are too insisting. He does not like to lie, as it is his previous master's main weapon and he tries to change, so he prefers to keep distances anytime he's with too inquisitive souls. If the danger is too palpable...

You won't be able to take him with you. His survival is paramount to him. He will find an escape, and ask of you to NOT mistake this reaction for empty cowardice. It is self preservation. Wisdom. Instinct.

i’m not a great resource for asian or even just east asian queer film, since most of my interest and familiarity is with chinese film (although the third wife (2018), memento mori (1999), and tokyo godfathers (2003) are queer-themed vietnamese, south korean, and japanese films i’ve enjoyed). in terms of mainland chinese, hong kong, and taiwanese queer film, “the big ones” are farewell my concubine (1993), happy together (1997), and the wedding banquet (1993), all of which are excellent and broadly accessible films. i’m not sure exactly what the nature of your screening is, so if you would prefer a documentary, yang ± yin: gender in chinese cinema (1996) is both an excellent documentary and an excellent resource. tsai ming-liang’s films are also incredible and frequently queer themed—i particularly loved goodbye, dragon inn (2003)—but they can be a little difficult for people who aren’t used to slow cinema. i haven’t seen east palace, west palace (1996) or lan yu (2001) yet, but i know they were both groundbreaking, and if you would prefer a fun queer-themed supernatural mystery, then of course i have to point you to marry my dead body (2023). hopefully this is an okay starting place, people in the notes let me know if i’ve missed something big

Nightly walks are always nice, especially when no other people are around. For us, it's nothing but the silence, perhaps a slight breeze, the night sky and moonlight, and each others warmth and company. Stargazing, walking through flower fields at the park or late night dates, it's always a comforting and wonderful experience.

Then again, there's some nights we won't go for walks, and instead, just stay inside. Movie nights, cuddles, reminiscent talks about the past if we're in that sort of mood, maybe even a duel or two. i made an observation when i saw the documentary. i wanna know your opinions over it as well. so basically dont get me wrong i really loved all the parts which had louis and his current band, i think all of them are hilarious and definitely respect and enjoy louis' company a lot and i also think that louis admires them a lot and is close with them. now saying this i also think that all the footage which were used regarding 1d was deliberately dull??? like for example at the beginning when they're showing the bts content from 1d era, i know that moment was describing louis' feelings regarding the band disbanding right but regardless of that dont you think a deliberate decision was taken to include 1d scenes where they just dont look like they are close or like yk amicable......and then after that both the scenes with niall and liam it was majorly kinda awkward and short lived and not as exciting you would think it would be and its interesting knowing that liam and louis were hanging out in the hotel room and the camera person only came when louis was leaving liam's room...it definitely could be that all the 1d boys, like louis, have been on camera 24/7 so their purpose of hanging out surely wouldnt include a camera.....but regardless dont you think the way 1d scenes were kinda presented in the doc was really dull and almost included no chemistry amongst the boys...like i feel like they could have used better videos. cause the way louis talked about 1d in the whole doc was very uplifting and different from whatever scenes that were used. now idk if it was cal's intention cause i read your post about cal aurand yesterday or it was charlie's intention, tbh i am sort of questioning charlie's motivation a little bit ngl...with how he brought up the kid and all that. or it was louis' choice personally....or maybe im thinking too much out of nothing that could also be a possibility. regardless what do you think about this?

regardless of what was filmed and what 1d footage was available, it does seem deliberate the way in which the footage was included. maybe that's just how the boys were backstage for that final show (very mellow, not speaking to each other much due to what was about to happen). and imo facing simon in that moment (which... why was he featured so much in the first place) couldn't have made them feel any better. the way that the voice over and interviews overtop of the footage did compliment that "they're beginning to drift apart" concept as well. it is very interesting to contrast the 1d scenes to lt band, they are portrayed very differently!

going back to cal, it's clear he had involvement with this to the point where the footage was provided without much pushback? since when was sony ever okay with louis speaking out after his time in 1d? i find it interesting about this is i'm surprised he was allowed to release the footage (since it contains their likeness while as a unit of 1d). if you consider the input cal had early on with the boys stunting and being photographed like zoo animals, i'd say him being at the la n1 show made perfect sense. he literally choreographed and participated in the stunt being carried out just like he was doing in the 1d days ten years back. bc what else is bg if not a sony stunt that has backfired in every respect from the start.

i know not everyone agrees and that's fine, but it seems to me that charlie knew exactly what he was getting into when he was brought on for the project (mid 2019, possibly earlier). i think the intent behind this is to solidify the underdog and misunderstood member of 1d and dad image. ultimately what came of that was this documentary. i think of it like this: charlie is an employee of louis. louis meets this director and has this overarching thing he needs to get rid of. he also has a tour coming up and has a team who'd rather sit on their ass than promote him properly (i don't think they're unable to do much with his circumstance, but i think sjpr and seven are to blame in some respects). and so charlie agrees to the terms. he comes with louis to events and promo and starts to record and bg begins unravelling the way it does (hello b setting herself on fire, hello boobgate). so louis makes the decision to have this be apart of his next move. and somewhere in there sony/simco and whoever the fuck else said, yes. take our footage and our content and do your thing. but do it our way. (i.e. simon and xf being huge parts of the start of the film and NEVER portrayed negatively). obviously, charlie deciding to participate in this to this extent is something that he agreed to. i don't necessarily agree with that choice, it seems like louis confides in him and trusts him to do this for louis and his career.
