Summary:

Beron is dead. Where that leaves Autumn is up to the Cauldron... and maybe the Spymaster of the Night Court as well.

The New High Lord of Autumn isn't fairing too well with his new reign. Luckily his allies in the Night Court are willing to send him aid. The Spymaster is just too good at his job however, and the High Lord isn't quite sure how to let him go when his problems become manageable again.

As the Courts work together towards the stability of Prythian and a calmer future for the next generations, Azriel finds himself falling into a life that he never meant to have. Somehow, it's the best thing to ever happen to him.

Gentle and quiet, his friendship with Eris grows into something he never could have imagined. When this budding friendship turns into something more, they're going to have to decide how they define what a family is and where to call home.

He took a small sip of his drink and without thinking, let out a low groan of pleasure. He closed his eyes and let his tongue dart out and lick the corner of his mouth, chasing the taste. Forgetting himself in his carelessness was not something Azriel was used to and the moment he realized what he had done he blushed fiercely from the tips of his ears all down the back of his neck. “I-” He started stupidly, unsure of what to say to explain himself. “I’ve never tasted Autumn Whiskey before. It’s… got a lot of spice.” “Beautiful save,” Eris murmured into his own glass, clearly trying very hard not to laugh outright. “Next I suspect you’ll try to curry favor by telling me my hair looks very clean?” After that, Azriel sat up a little straighter and sent a withering look towards the male seated across from him. Eris winked and Azriel returned it with a rude hand gesture. The bright laughter that followed was so unexpected that Azriel choked on his next sip of whiskey.

#I'd rather not clutter the caption so I'll ramble a little in the tags #HitW is short but special to me as it represents and encapsulates some hard life experiences I was going through at the time of its creatio #Ofc in a more metaphorical manner! but. I have been very much enjoying reading people's comments and speculation as its been posting #the interpretations are so meaningful and varied and i love that and really want to encourage anyone to reflect on what it means to them #for me making this comic was a way to process and move past trauma. i feel like it ends anti-climactically but i wanted to be true to #where i thought things were actually going in my life moreso than to veer towards impact. ultimately im glad i managed to finish it #and for it to finish going public right before the new year? maybe i can see this as shedding that old pain in time to become something new #so thank you for reading for supporting and for still being here. lets wake up to 2025 with wind in our sails #Home in the Woods #my art #my comics #original comic #cw guns #cw blood #cw body horror

#dungeon meshi #kabru #laios touden #falin touden #Happy Thistle Thursday once again. Have I been holding on to this comic for several weeks? Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.

Don't waste your time being too cool to have fun, y'know?

hey. don’t cry. crush four cloves of garlic into a pot with a dollop of olive oil and stir until golden then add one can of crushed tomatoes a bit of balsamic vinegar half a tablespoon of brown sugar and stir for a few minutes adding a handful of fresh spinach until wilted and mix in half a cup of grated parmesan cheese and pasta of your choice ok?
