Omg…Pirates.

Not me flying in during my nightly 3-4 AM “wake up for no reason time” to blast you guys in the face with my epiphanic slightly crackish theory on S2 and the Stolas boyfriend.

We open season 2 The Circus with Blitzø and Fizz playing pirates, or Blitzø attempting to and Fizz not being interested. Stolas and Blitzø have a big conversation about them and Stolas was clearly already interested in them as well. He’s read many books on the subject.

In the episode it’s a setup for Blitzø to steal from Stolas both in present and past but what if it’s also like a hint of a Striker-esque Pirate character…like a parrot. Who could potentially lead to some swashbuckling romance for a recently heart broken soon to be divorcee owl and give Blitzø and crew a chance to play pirates. Just like Striker plays into his cowboy interests we have a new antagonist (?) for the pirate interests established in the S2 premiere.

They don’t usually put in things like that for nothing, especially in a Season opener which often sets up the season coming up, so I think that convo could have not only been for the episode but perhaps the season overall?

This would also be an amazing situation where a romantic rival echoes the main character and potentially gives Stolas what he thinks he wants. When Blitzø breaks in to steal the grimoire Stolas immediately jumps into romance novel mode, Blitzø is there to ravish him. If I was a betting woman I’d say a pirate character could serve as a foil for Blitzø (is this a foil? I’m tired ), who comes in to steal treasure, either the crystal, Stolas, the grimoire, something else. He would be a direct contrast to Blitzø while giving us a fun new pastiche like the Westerns of Wrath. Maybe we head down to Envy for awhile. Stolas gets a romance novel fantasy to make mistakes with.

Like they could potentially even call back to the Porthole conversation as a fun little joke.

Like I said, it’s 3AM so these are just my shooting out of bed eyes wide open thoughts but I sure as shit am writing this regardless if it’s what happens.

i feel like people are sleeping on the occam's razor situation of how buckwild it is to outright accuse a guy of being a clone of your friend even if you DO have a lot of circumstantial evidence. there's other options is what im saying. they could just be like. a guy. that's a sensible deduction. you should explore that deduction. ignore my shirt that reads I <3 RED HERRINGS.

Finally finished the designs for this AU!! Some of them may be subject to change but this is how they're looking for now!

From the "Greatest Show" animatic, the idea behind this AU is that Pomni finds herself as the new jester in this troupe of Caine's fantastical circus! She can't.. really remember how she got there, but why would she want to leave when it's so much fun? The show must go on, after all! Who knows what could happen if it doesn't? Planning on expanding more on this AU with animatics and extra art sometime! I hope some are interested!
