i rewatched the persona 3 stage plays and i'm insane about shinjiham all over again. what do you MEAN she had a dream where she talked to him before the final battle and they promised to see each other again? what do you MEAN he speaks the last words in the whole entire play, "I'm here, Kotone. Just like we promised," implying that it was a SHARED dream???

the implication that kipperlilly chose the shatterstar and to worship ankarna/porter still makes me feel so ill.…. like we Know there was a marked change once she did choose it. there’s no world where porter didn’t feed into her mental illness and coerce her into the choice like a powerful adult in her life told her that her rage was GOOD. told her that this fundamental part of her could make her and her friends’ lives better if she chose to worship it. worship him. that they were going to build a better world together 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 im going to throw up

Can we talk again about post Purgatory effects. Because when Richas’ death message came up, Foolish didn’t just react - he panicked. He was at a loss for what to do, started tunneling into the snowman, frantically trying to create some sort of cover or safe space for the eggs and himself. But it’s Leo’s reaction to this that really gets me.

After Foolish’s panic, Leo starts acting out. Starts making light and fun of a situation where it’s definitely inappropriate. Getting Foolish’s attention, then placing chairs just for them. Starting their usual bit where they look at one another and eat the banana. Taking out popcorn and tossing it to her Pa. Making him laugh, distracting him - in exactly the way he does for her, for everyone else.

Leo left with the rest of the eggs to protect their parents. To keep her Pa safe. And now they’re both back, and he has matching cracks like hers, and is visibly still distressed from whatever happened in Purgatory, and is panicking - not sarcastically, or just doing it to add to the chaos, but honest to god panicking - so she helps in the way she knows. Protecting her dad the same way he protects, with laughter and distraction.

I have a love-hate relationship with this outfit but some artists do make it look very cute on him... The first two images in particular the turtleneck looks lovely 🥰

the subversion of expectations when crona confesses to putting a snake in maries tea is so crazy because makas initial reaction is anger. so the first time i watched that scene i was like “ah no theyre cooked” only for her to immediately clock what was actually happening with like. no implication on crona’s end that medusa made them do it

very interesting how this was supposed to be an attempt at manipulation from naraku that worked wonders, but saint hakushin's situation directly mirrored kikyo's. she fully empathized with his feelings and told him textually she tried to also live without doubt, to make no mistakes, to not cling to life and be "above" such things. having been in his shoes very recently since she was brought back, she tells him there's no shame in crying over wanting to live.

now, we had naraku use such candid words to tell hakushin he was revered but not thought of, not cared for, that he didn't allow himself "any doubt". he goes as far as to tell hakushin he wanted to live. to come along with him and live. "live along with me" (lol, ever think maybe he could've told kikyo this—).

FURTHER MORE...! it was quite obvious, that naraku and kikyo are each other's utmost opposite, but it's also so fascinating that naraku made use of hakushin and manipulated him at his most vulnerable moment, while it was kikyo that granted him understanding, clarity, and set his soul free.

in the databook, naraku and kikyo are the only two characters whose map of souls - the souls that compose the shikon jewel, aramitama, nigimitama, kushimitama and sakimitama - is full. they embody all these sentiments that compose the jewel, both good and bad, but both chose to utilize this potential for totally different quests.

in the end naraku clung to remaining miserable and making others miserable (so his shikon map just remained malignant) and kikyo used her tremendous soul strength for fighting off evil and protecting life, at the expense of herself. two very strong wills/spirits that directly opposed one another in actions and thoughts.

i was thinking about what the swan and ajax dynamic would look like if cleon and ajax started dating and i think in canon it would simply get more complicated than it already is

however consider an au where cleon has already taken swan in by the time she starts seeing / officially dating ajax and i think there’s incredible comedic potential because like. swan could be so Annoying Little Sister who’s older sibling is dating someone new. she makes it her life’s mission to bother ajax as much as possible.

swan keeps “accidentally” interrupting them. she finds excuses to tag along whenever they go out somewhere because cleon can’t say no to her. swan takes ajax’s spot next to cleon at the dinner table or on the couch and then sticks her tongue out at ajax whenever cleon’s head is turned. she bickers with ajax over the most pointless shit whenever cleon isn’t around.

anytime ajax tries to complain about this to anyone else they find it deeply funny (“do you seriously have beef with a teenager???”)

cleon somehow has no idea any of this is going on. ajax knows cleon loves swan too much to risk telling her. swan knows cleon loves ajax too much to actually try and split them up. they drive each other crazy but cleon somehow thinks they’re on the road to becoming best friends and is thrilled

i think this gets even funnier if you throw rembrandt into the mix and she also starts dating ajax and cleon. ajax is like thank god someone who will Understand what it’s like to deal with cleon’s demon spawn little sister

except swan and rembrandt get along remarkably well and ajax is like. What The Fuck.
