Crackpot Theories: The Magnus Protocol edition Part 1: The incineration of the magnus institute
Welcome to the first part of the magnus protocol Crackpot theories. Now I will say there will be Heavy Spoilers for the Magnus archives and any episodes of the Magnus protocol that are out at time of me posting this.
As a reminder I would like to say the title of this series is Crackpot theories so before anyone say "you are grasping at strings with this theory" that is the point. In the crackpot theories series I pride myself on trying to find connection and implore you to reply or re-blog with your own thoughts. The more info we get over time the better these theories will become. But for now all we have are strings and we must weave those strings in to plausible theories.
So before we start please I implore you, if you haven't listened to both series, to listen one if not both series as the creators created a master work of a show with The Magnus Archives and now The Magnus Protocol is out and I don't think it will disappoint so read on if you either don't fear spoilers or have already listen to everything.
Everyone caught up with the series and prepared to theory craft then onwards we go.
As the title of this theory will be talking about the fact that in The Magnus Protocol, or as I will refer to it from now on as Protocol for simplicity sake, that the Magnus Archives burned down in about 2002 if the forums are to believed in the second statement of Ep. 1 which I will be referring to as RedCanary after the user on said message board in the statement.
Now as some of you may know Jonny as in the creator mention that Protocol doesn't take place in the same universe that the Magnus Archives, or Archives for simplicity sake, took place in (this was I think said in a stream but I don't have the time to rewatch every stream and scrub through all the content, but I did find a post with help of some friends that does confirm this so I will be re-blogging that post after I make this post). But due to the events of MAG 114 Cracked Foundation and MAG 197 Connected that there is at the very least a connect multiverse.
To explain in MAG 114 the statement giver Anya Villette falls into the the gap in reality that sits in the foundation of the house on Hill Top Road seemingly transporting her to the past. and in MAG 197 Annabelle states this, "This is not ‘the’ world, it is ‘a’ world. And though it has taken so very long to prise it open, the gate to a thousand new realities now stands wide. However, despite this effort, the worlds beyond them remain so far unspoiled by the Fears’ touch." Then later on in that statement this is said:
Jon: I see. Destroy the Panopticon, and you release its power. Kill Jonah, and you cut the connection between the Fears and the world. Do both at the same time, and… for just a moment, all that power rushes through their only remaining connection with reality: the tapes.
Annabelle: And they would be swept along them by it, dragged out of our realities, and into new ones…
This implies that after MAG 200 the fears were essentially ejected into the multiverse leading to the events of Protocol. This forced ejection of the fears was done through the burning of the archives as state in the plan made in MAG 199 Seeing it through.
Now here is where start grasping at threads.
I believe that when the fears were ejected from the archives timeline it somehow brought with it the burning of the institute and through temporal shenanigans the fire had occurred in 2000.
and that is where this theory ends and this Crackpot theory is one of the only theories that has the least amount of ties to the other theories that will be made.
Next will be my Crackpot Theory on will be on FR3-D1 which due to the expanse of the theory will have to be split into multiple parts as that theory contains at least two sub theories and an extra investigation on characters from Archives.

"You weakened me!" By Ambessa is not a declaration of apathy! It is not her blaming Mel! It is when Mel finally learns that her mother isn't apathetic to her, that she isn't disinterested in her fate or disappointing in her, but instead she loved her too much and too deeply. That Mel threatened Ambessa with ruination, because the only way Ambessa has ever known to survive is by embracing brutality and sacrificing a peaceful death, while all Mel has ever wanted is peace. That a peaceful death would have literally meant the death of her child, back when she was still pregnant with one of them!
And Mel's disapproval of her meant that Ambessa could feel herself tumbling into a path of peace. Into a better path, maybe, but a path that for Ambessa has only ever meant death. If she could be more hardhearted, maybe she could have kept both - her family's survival, and her daughter - but alas. Her sending Mel away is not a failure on Mel's part, but in fact a failure on Ambessa's - because she could not withstand the arrows of her disapproval, now she needs to come to Piltover to collect her before whatever older enemies she has catch up with them both. She comes to Piltover to correct that mistake, to show Mel a harder heart, and yet! It's doeesn't work! Because Mel still demands of her vulnerability and she cannot help giving it to her!
Is there no greater expression of love, for her? To even contemplate opening herself up to that which is deadly, for the sake of the life and soul of her daughter? Is there nothing so undoing?

IM TRYING OK
Also yes this is everything. Sprinkle in the fact that she's a bit of a slave to her own power since she triggered?? and her life since her brother's suicide has been essentially one fast paced migraine? and she Fills in the Gaps but there are always Chasms too vast for her power to Bridge and. what a terrible fate uncertainty must be for someone whose power is information. and yet the alternative is knowing exactly what's going to go wrong. what a tragedy must it be for that liminal space just in the moment she lets the walls drop to be an eternal sword hanging over her neck
there needs to be a blog that's like me but for lisa instead of alec so i can follow it. perpetually thinking abt her being the one to (fairly accurately) explain the entities & alternate dimensions to the undersiders, her being the one to realize that gold morning is about to happen all of 30 seconds before it starts, the way she's like. she's the watcher watching the watchers watching them. whether that b coil or the prt or the entities or cauldron. girl who stares back up at the microscope overhead. i dunno i'm just saying shit i just like how her little all-seeing-eye thing is, probably at least 75% of the time, near entirely about keeping track of the various things seeking 2 manipulate or destroy her team. something something when she says that her power is like being the only person who isn't blind something something how much of her character is built on the horrifying pressure of trying to 24/7 larp someone capable enough to keep her team safe from the million pitfalls being placed in their way because They can't see them coming. i'm not a lisa expert someone who has good opinions about lisa tell me if this is anything

What Dreams May Come
Shen Yuan dies from expired food
He doesn't exactly find himself in a new body, but his self-awareness doesn't exactly go away.
Instead, he finds himself bodiless in a dark void with nothing but his thoughts. He has so many thoughts that rage through him about how PIDW ended. He's actually more easily able to focus his anger at Luo Binghe's bad ending than at the fact that he died. With nothing to do but think, he comes up with hundreds of ways the story could have gone that would be more satisfying for his favorite Protagonist.
Eventually, he's not sure exactly when, he realizes that he can manifest visions from his thoughts into the empty space. Landscapes, beasts, swords, and eventually even people--though, unnervingly, it seems he can't do faces.
Things continue like this until one day, his little soap bubble dream world is abruptly popped, and he finds himself in the room of a lavish demonic palace. He still hasn't got much of a body beyond a wisp of smoke, but a pointy eared girl without shoes that he's pretty sure is Sha Hualing??? What the fuck??? Is yelling at him and calling him Meng Mo.
After she mentions releasing him to attack a boy that caught her eye, Shen Yuan (Or... Meng Mo, now) is PUMPED! Not only does he get to meet Luo Binghe, he gets to go and LIVE INSIDE HIM!

okay so im thinking back to like. bad and baghera's little conversation about ron and morals and how that relates to forever and i think i'm getting closer to putting my finger on the fundamental disconnect between bad and forever.
like specifically, the question i'm thinking about was "would you kill an islander to get your egg back?"
baghera's answer was "i would do it, but i would be crossing a line"
i think that's what makes her different from bad and forever. bad and forever both have lines that they simply Will Not Cross
the difference is that forever's lines are moral and idealogical. he won't torture innocent people, even if they're Federation workers and he's willing to harm even his dear friend Bad to protect an innocent party. he hates the idea of being someone willing to blow up the island even more than he hates being drugged against his will and he hated that a whole fucking lot.
he cannot understand or tolerate how bad would be willing to do something as evil as imprison an innocent worker because that's one of his lines.
bad's lines are people and that's about it. he protects his family. dapper, pomme, the other eggs, forever, foolish, the french. harming his family is unthinkable to him. he holds himself back from torturing Federation workers because that might draw attention to himself that would put the eggs in the crossfire. he doesn't put mines down because an egg could die in a mine trap.
he cannot understand or tolerate how forever would be willing to lie about dapper to protect a Federation worker because that's one of his lines
in short, to forever, There Are Things You Do Not Do To People and to bad, There Are People To Whom You Do Not Do Things
this isn't something that just talking it out can fix i don't think

If you are wondering how to order from Taobao and Alibaba if you don't live in China, the best way is to use a proxy buyer.
The proxy buyer is located in China, you give them money and they order the goods. The items are stored in their warehouse until you choose to have them shipped to you.
My proxy buyer is BaseTao, I've been using them since 2017 and they've been great! Their site has a reverse image search, and they will take pictures of all arriving items for free, which not all proxies do.

thinking of Kafka's so called failed drawing of a horse and my theory regarding the classic "its impossible to draw a horse" dilemma is not that you can't draw a horse but that hardly anyone can truly draw a Horse because even when you have it down anatomically you've still missed the Essence of Horse, the horseness of the Horse, if you will, and this is EVERYTHING
you can draw a cat or a pigeon and absolutely capture the catness and the pigeonness of a cat and a pigeon but the horseness of a horse is so phenomenally antithetical to any and all visual representation it will never sit right ever. got the proportions perfectly rendered? faithfully captured the sheen on the coat? delineated all the sinews and muscles of this insane beast in motion? great. still not a Horse though!!!
truly i think 3 year olds are sometimes the only people who see the horse for what it is bc accurate depictions of horsenessness have nothing to do w anatomy and EVERYTHING to do w expressing the Vibe of being near these ridiculous animals. like the entire history of art flounders before the horse bc no amount of breaking them into circles and boxes will help you whatsoever these creatures are made up ENTIRELY of an utterly INCOMPREHENSIBLE marriage between mad staggering bulk and fluid motion like lets be real a static image will NOT cut it no matter how perfect we think the flank-to-belly ratio is.
im sorry but the cult of Realism has warped our minds Kafka nailed it this is precisely what a horse IS precisely !!

Crackpot Theories: The Magnus Protocol edition Part 1: FR3-D1 and the voices within Section 1: Chester and Norris
Before we start I again will say this will have some spoilers for both Archives and Protocol so I say again if you haven't go read at least a synopsis of the 5th season of Archive and the first two episodes of Protocol if you don't have the time to watch both series.
So with that being said read on if you either don't fear spoilers or have already listen to everything.
Okay so before this theory begins we must make a few assumptions.
assumption the first: Protocol while not taking place in the Archives universe at least follows a similar timeline to Archives up until the institute burns in 1999 leading to a timeline divergence
assumption the second: everyone in archives exists somewhere in the protocol timeline though they may be different to their Archive timeline counter part. but there are a few exceptions to this that will be mentioned in another part of this particular theory
So with that lets get to the meat and potatoes of this theory, FR3-D1 and in particular the voices of Chester and Norris. Before you yes I will cover Augustus, just not in this section as Augustus... well its a whole other can of worms to deal with. it will possibly need it's own subsections.
Anyways so to give context to those who either haven't listened to protocol or just need a quick refresher FR3-D1 is a tailor made program made most likely in 1996~1997 for O.I.A.R which had started using Windows NT 4.0, which was released in the summer of 1996, as state by Alice while she was explaining the case filing system to Sam.
Sam starts his second case which ends up being what is known as a chatty case by Alice. For future reference I will call these Chatter cases. Chatter cases are what most of those currently working for the O.I.A.R believe to be a glitch cause by the age of the FR3-D1 program. Alice tells Sam of the three voices of FR3-D1. The first one is Norris the most common of the three. Next is Chester the more uncommon of the three. Then finally Augustus the rarest of the three. So far we have only heard Norris and Chester who are voice by Alexander J. Newall and Jonathan Sims respectfully. These two are the same two who voiced Martin blackwood and Jonathan Sims (or Jon) respectively in Archives. Now this may just be me looking for connections where there aren't any but i feel that these two using the exact voice as two past characters. These two, Alexander J. Newall and Jonathan Sims are the creators of both Archives and Protocol and the fact that they used the exact same voice they did for their characters in Archives is odd to say the least, while this could be a tongue and cheek reference for fans who listened to Archives there is just enough things that don't point to this not being a reference that things get muddled.
There is also the whole bit in the transcripts that comes before Chester and Norris speak it says Cyberspace.
But back to the theory, I believe that Chester and Norris are actually Martin and Jon or rather they are they Archives version of Martin and Jon as both Jon and Martin already exist in the Protocol universe if we assume this timeline closely follows the Archives timeline and we can't have people be replaced by their Archive counterparts (again with a few exceptions). So instead of not being brought along with The Eye, over to Protocol (something I will explain more in one of the subsections in the Augustus section) they were reincarnated into Chester and Norris two of three voices in the program (FR3-D1) that is under the control of The Eye though I think there is the influence of another fear entity (theory for another time).
I also want to bring back the point about the transcript saying cyberspace as I believe if Jon and Martins souls are Chester and Norris then the bit about cyberspace is explained by Jon and martin speaking as Chester and Norris in cyberspace.
And that is where this section ends yes very cut and dry but then this section and future section are plausible at beast and only held up by strings at others.
There was some thing that was brought up in my last post on the fire at the institute (reference to this post) @gammija mentioned in the comments, also thank you friend for correcting me I was going off the transcript on which I didn't see the 1999 and I missed the ARG and while I'm into ARGs Protocol has one is too big for me to finish the monster that is a monster of a ARG but that's besides the point. Anyways @gammija had basically asked if the institute burned in 1999 then why did Chester, Norris and Augustus start reading off cases in 2021?
Now I don't have a good answer to that here is what I got. I think we have two options or a combination of the two. Option 1 is that we have time shenanigans and Chester (Jon), Norris (Martin) and Augustus (???) only arrived to protocol in the year 2021. second is that we have manipulation from The Web and Chester (Jon), Norris (Martin) and Augustus (???) have always been in FR3-D1 and as we have seen with what FR3-D1 has been doing it's very similar to the tape recorders (a theory for another time). Option three though assumes both are true but in stead of The Web silencing or activating the voices The Web places the three into FR3-D1 in 2021.
I was planning on getting all of these done before the next episode drops but I don't think I will. I have been writing this post on off for the last few days. when I planned this to be the shortest of the FR3-D1 theories. this is not what I expected

As someone who wasn't raised Christian, I find it so strange that satanism is considered "anti-Christian." Since Satan is a Christian mythological figure, without Christianity he wouldn't even exist, so any depiction of Satan would have to be inherently Christian. You could say the character is anti-Jesus, or anti-human maybe. Can you imagine if people said depictions of Hades or the Furies were anti-Hellenic? They're integral to the mythology...If anything Satanism should be considered a branch of Christianity. Most Satanists I know used to be other types of Christians anyway. I also find it strange that Christians strictly adhere to anti-talmudic religious laws that Jesus certainly would have found inhumane, as an extremely socially conscious Jewish man. (I admire a lot of things he stood for, but most Christians barely have anything in common with him.)
My mama told me a story a long time ago, about the first missionary to come to the Muskogee. He explains all about heaven and hell and Jesus, and the Muskogee man says, "Let me get this straight. If I don't worship this man I'll burn in hell for all eternity?" and the missionary tells him, yes. The Muskogee man says "What about all my relatives who haven't even heard of this? What about all my family who died never knowing?" and the missionary says, "There's no punishment for ignorance, they'll all go to heaven." And the Muskogee man says, "Well why the FUCK did you tell me, then?!"
I'm not Christian, not even Satanist, if anything I worship cats, but many people have told me I'm going to hell anyway, although to me hell is as made up as Idunn's orchard of golden apples, Valhalla, Olympus, or anywhere like that. My mama used to tell me, hell is where the fun people are, and since I've never actually met someone who wasn't allegedly going, I think she was probably right.
