Rain
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sound of rain drummed steadily against the asphalt, creating a chaotic symphony that echoed throughout the Interlagos circuit. It was the Brazilian Grand Prix, and the atmosphere was electric, charged with anticipation and anxiety. Yn, the first female driver for RedBull, sat in her car on the grid, heart racing, fingers tapping nervously against the steering wheel. She glanced at the wet track ahead and could feel the tension in the air, punctuated by the distant rumble of thunder.
“Okay, Yn, focus,” her race engineer JD's voice crackled through the radio, breaking her concentration. “It’s going to be tricky out there. We’ve already seen a couple of red flags, and the conditions are only getting worse. Just take it slow, especially in the first few laps.”
“Got it, JD. I’m just going to keep my head down and stay out of trouble,” she replied, trying to mask the nerves creeping into her voice.
“Remember, we’re in it for the long game. You’re in second, just behind Max. Let’s see how it plays out, yeah?”
“Yeah, I’ll be careful. Thanks!” She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. The lights went out, and she surged forward, gripping the wheel tightly as she navigated the treacherous turns.
The rain poured relentlessly, causing visibility to plummet. The roar of engines mixed with the sound of rain, creating an overwhelming cacophony. As they completed the first lap, Yn found herself trailing closely behind Max. The two Red Bull cars danced across the slick track, carving their paths through the rain.
“Good job, Yn. Keep up with Max,” JD encouraged as she skillfully maneuvered her way through the corners.
But the rain was unforgiving. A few laps later, a sudden jolt of loss of traction sent her heart into her throat.
“JD! I’m slipping!” she shouted, trying to regain control of the car.
“Stay calm, Yn! Just counter-steer!” JD’s voice was urgent, but Yn could feel the tires struggling for grip on the waterlogged track. Suddenly, the car spun wildly, and before she knew it, her heart sank as the barriers rushed toward her.
BANG!
The impact reverberated throughout her body, and her vision blurred. The world outside turned chaotic; sirens blared, and officials waved red flags frantically.
************************************************
In the hospital, Yn was conscious but barely coherent. Her body ached, and she felt detached from reality as the medical staff worked quickly around her. She heard snippets of conversation, the beeping of machines, and the distant sounds of the race still going on outside.
Meanwhile, the other drivers were huddled in the waiting room, anxiety etched on their faces. Lando paced back and forth, glancing toward the door every few seconds.
“Why isn’t there any news yet?” he asked, running a hand through his damp hair.
“They’re probably just being thorough,” George said, trying to keep his tone light, though his worry was evident. “She’s tough. She’ll pull through.”
“Yeah, but she’s only eighteen,” Carlos added, looking serious. “It shouldn’t have happened. She was doing so well.”
“Max is taking it hard,” Charles mentioned, nodding toward the corner where Max sat silently, his gaze fixed on the floor.
Just then, the door swung open, and a doctor stepped out. “You’re here for Yn Ln, right? She’s stable, but she’s in pretty bad shape. Five broken ribs and a concussion. She’s asleep right now but is being monitored closely. We’ll let you in shortly.”
The relief was palpable, but worry still clouded the room. They exchanged glances, each trying to mask their fear for their young friend and competitor.
***************************************************
After what felt like an eternity, they were finally allowed to see her. The sterile smell of antiseptic filled the air as they entered the dimly lit room. Yn lay in the hospital bed, her face pale but peaceful, a tangle of wires and machines surrounding her. Flowers adorned the table next to her, a bouquet of vibrant blooms brightening the otherwise stark room.
“Look at her,” Lando whispered, stepping forward. “She looks so small.”
“She’s a fighter,” Max said quietly, his eyes glistening. He stepped closer to the bed, placing a hand on the railing. “I should have told her to back off. I should have been more careful.”
“You can’t blame yourself, Max,” Carlos said gently, joining him. “The conditions were terrible.”
George stepped up, looking around. “We should leave her something. Something to remind her we’re all here for her.”
They began placing little tokens around her bedside: a signed card from Lando, a miniature trophy from George, a chilli plushie from Carlos.
“Hey, Yn,” Charles said softly, leaning down so his face was closer to hers. “We’re all here. Just take your time to heal, okay?” Charles moved a bit to the left, placing the flowers with the rest of the things.
Then, Ollie, Yn’s bets friend and partner in crime, stepped forward, his expression softening. He took her hand gently, brushing back a stray hair from her forehead. “You’re going to be alright. Just rest, and we’ll be right here when you wake up.” He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, lingering for a moment as emotion washed over him.
A moment of silence fell over them as they stood vigil by her bedside. The beeping of the machines was a constant reminder of her fragility, but they knew she was strong.
“Can you believe she’s just eighteen and already racing with us?” Lando finally broke the silence, trying to lighten the mood. “I can’t even imagine what I was doing at that age.”
“Probably playing video games,” Ollie teased lightly, earning a chuckle from the others despite the somber atmosphere.
“She’s got so much talent,” Carlos said, glancing back at Yn. “And she’s got all of us rooting for her. That’s what matters.”
Max nodded, his gaze still locked on Yn. “She’s going to bounce back. I believe that.”
The hours passed slowly, filled with whispered conversations and laughter tinged with worry as they reminisced about the race and their shared moments on the track. They each took turns sharing stories, hoping to fill the room with positivity, so Yn could feel the love surrounding her.
Finally, as the night wore on, exhaustion crept in. One by one, they began to drift off, still seated in their chairs, leaving her surrounded by the warmth of friendship, waiting for her to wake up.
****************************************************
As the first light of dawn broke through the clouds, illuminating the hospital room with a gentle glow, Yn stirred slightly in her sleep. The sound of soft murmurs and familiar laughter filtered through her consciousness.
“Look! I think she’s waking up!” George exclaimed softly, shaking Lando awake.
Max leaned forward, his eyes brightening. “Yn, can you hear us?”
With a small groan, Yn blinked open her eyes, squinting at the faces around her. “Ollie?” she croaked, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Yes! I'm here, buba! We’re here! You’re safe,” Ollie said, his eyes widening with relief, taking her hand in his, softly stroking her hair from her face.
“Hey, don’t try to move too much, petite,” Charles advised, noticing her attempt to sit up. “You’ve had a rough night.”
“What happened?” she asked, her voice shaky.
“You crashed,” Lando said, trying to keep his tone light. “But you’re tough. You’ve got some broken ribs and a concussion, but you’ll be back on track before you know it.”
Yn closed her eyes for a moment, trying to process everything. “I remember slipping… and then nothing.”
“It’s okay. You’re here now,” Carlos reassured her. “We’ve all been waiting for you to wake up. You scared us, hermana.”
Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as the reality of her situation washed over her. “I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to keep up.”
Max stepped forward, his expression softening. “You did great, Yn. You’re going to come back from this even stronger.”
“Yeah, and we’ll all be right behind you,” George added, his voice filled with sincerity.
The warmth of their presence surrounded her, giving her the strength she needed. “Thank you, guys. I—I really appreciate it.”
“Rest now,” Ollie said, squeezing her hand gently. “We’ll be here when you wake up again.”
And as Yn drifted back into a peaceful sleep, she felt the undeniable bond of her paddock family.

Felt bad because the last pac was a little short, so it's a similar one. Those paper snowflakes were small, these are big.
It's about any area in life, and probably most of it will be future things, but I hope this will give you hope and motivation.
YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Pile 1
Even if there's hard things, even if there's chaos and you need to start again, you will able to do it, and you will be better than ever! For some of you, it's especially true with finances, you will have a stable life. But also you will have a good relationship, maybe against all odds, maybe you didn't saw good examples, but you still have a good connection with your partner. You can definitely be succesful in something creative, I feel so much spark, inspiration, unique ideas. And you will have some deep wiseness, maybe it's connected to spirituality, but somehow you can teach people. You will also know and love yourself.
Pile 2
Your ambitions will come true, your hard work will definitely pay off. You can also be good at manifestation. I see you can be a boss, be in a high position, you basically can buy anything, you won't have financial struggles. Also, you will be the boss of your own life in every way too, you have power to change it. If you have some anxiety, nervousness, your mental health will be so much better. And you will feel free, you will move on, let go of past mistakes, past toxic people. You will love your life, you will be active, full of passion. If you want to move to another city or country, this will definitely happen. Even if you don't want to, you will travel a lot.
Pile 3
It feels you were lost, maybe you needed to fight, others didn't understand you. But it's like your life will be the complete opposite. For some of you, you will live literally the other side of the world. I think you will be lucky too, but it's more like you will have help from your spirit guides. Finally, everything will be okay. You will have a loving partner, and you will love yourself too. Your unique thinking and person will be appreciated, you will be in a like-minded community. You can finally be in peace with yourself and life, your struggles are over. You did so much inner work, and you feel good about yourself too. Others will love your company because your authentic nature and your good vibes.

Tumblr media
Pairings: Lando x Secret Friend!Reader & Lando x Girlfriend!Magui
Summary: Lando was known for his playboy reputation and people thought he just enjoyed being the center of attention, and the thrill of going from a woman to another. In the end, rumors are just rumors and they were never completely true. But such manners can only ever be detrimental to one's life...
Warnings: cheating, a little bit angsty, mentions of drinking and inappropriate themes
Note: This derived so far from what I initially intended to write...
Tumblr media
"Don't look at me like that, please..."
He said with a pained expression as he sat on the tiled floor of his bathroom, leaning against the wall. He looked like a wreck. Not a human, but a shell.
I was sitting on the closed lid of the toilet, resting my elbows on my knees, with a glass of water in my hand, while looking down on him with a frown. I hated the sight even though it was nothing too unfamiliar.
I knew he despised it when I gave him those eyes. It felt like a reprimand to him. He knew I was judging him in the slightest, but I didn't mean to make him guilty for having fun. He just pushed it too far tonight. As far as Max Fewtrell having to call me to pick him up, even though he has never even met me before.
"Don't you remember what we talked about? No more using alcohol and sex as means of escapism. Yet, look at yourself."
The words came out harshly, showing just how exasperated I was due to his behavior. Just a month ago, he had promised to never fall into excessive drinking again. But surprise! After weeks of not communicating, the first thing I hear about is him getting shit-faced drunk at Jimmy'z?!
And like every time I have called him out on his attitude and lack of clear judgment, Lando simply glared at me in apparent annoyance. We spent a few minutes staring at each other. The silence was heavy. It was weighed by unspoken complaints from me and baseless excuses from him. As if to make peace, I just gave him the glass of water and stood up.
"I will call Margarida so she can come over and take care of you."
I knew he wouldn't want her to see him like this, but I couldn't just leave him alone and neither could I stay over. And like I knew it would, the protest came out of his mouth the second I mentioned his girlfriend.
"What?! No. Why would you do that!"
I hit the nail. He didn't want anyone to see him in a vulnerable state. He wanted everyone to think he was just a reckless fun guy, not a broken mess hiding behind prodigal tendencies. I didn't know exactly why he drank so much yet. But I had my idea because it was always the same thing. He was lonely. He didn't know why but he was. Despite having so many friends to hang around, he never felt attached to most of them. It were as if all he could make were fleeting connections. As if nobody ever reciprocated his feelings. So he shut most of them down from the public and kept anything too sincere at an arm's length.
How did I figure it out? Ever since we met a year ago, Lando kept me as far as possible from his usual group of friends. I never met them and we rarely talked about them. He rarely sought out for me but when he did, he became a very distinct person from whom he was on the racetrack or whom he was with his friends and family.
He wasn't the sunshine to my shadow. He was as empty as one.
"You can't be left alone like this, and you know it. Have a good night."
I finally stated. I didn't wait for his response. I just walked out of his apartment and if I expected him to chase after me, he didn't.
It wasn't new. It was normal for us. We were the closest sometimes, but most of the time, we were just two people who knew of each other's existence.
I used to want to keep us constant and stable but he told me it was unnecessary. That we weren't meant to be pressured to maintain communication. That we were the best kind of spontaneous, even though it wasn't all that joyous.
We were us, but we weren't together. I was hurt. I didn't let that deteriorate our connection though.
If I called, he would be there. If I didn't, he wouldn't be there. It was simple.
If he called, I would be there. If he didn't, I wouldn't be there but I would always have him in the back of my mind.
That's what I told myself until I couldn't help it. I returned back to my old ways. He didn't question it. He just went with it.
He was right when he said I overcomplicated everything. But didn't he do the same too by running away from his emotions?
A few days following the night I picked Lando up from the club, I sent him a text to check up on him.
He didn't even call me once after I had helped him, but it was normal. We always needed to let things simmer before talking it out. And usually, I was the one in charge of initiating the impending conversation.
"Hey, are you okay? The hangover must've been terrible..."
The key to getting a response from him was to start off sweetly, as if I were sorry for whatever had happened. Then, I would only have to wait for a few minutes before getting a reply.
I was proud of our communication pattern, even though it wouldn't be ideal for anyone else. I cracked the code and I took pride in it. Lando was still a man. He left most women on 'delivered' for several hours before responding; but not me.
I always tried to talk to him at the same time on Friday nights, when I knew he couldn't be drinking. He needed to be sober for his races and time zones were mostly in my favor as it was broad daylight wherever he was.
He was also aware of my texting routine, and it became a silent agreement that he needed to reciprocate my effort of keeping in touch every once in a while, when we weren't pushed together by misery.
However, the latter part never worked because the only thing we could bond over was our personal suffering. And there was no one to blame for our ephemeral status, apart from ourselves.
"Yeah it was bad. Cant believe you left me"
The notification made my screen light up and I was met with the very answer I had expected from him. I didn't believe in matching the energy of your interlocutor, so I stayed true to my typical wording. That was the charm in our relationship, after all. Together, we were ourselves. We didn't need to walk on eggshells. We could set the temperature as we wanted.
"Don't be dramatic. Magui helped you, didn't she?"
"She didnt even come home"
"Oh... Uhm, sorry... Do you want to hang out?"
"Meet me in 5?"
"How do I even get there in five minutes? But sure, just for you xx"
He didn't need to tell me where I was supposed to go. We were familiar to the point most things were unspoken and natural - whether it was bad or not, I didn't care much, we weren't committed anyway.
I arrived at what I had secretly started calling my second home. A place etched with memories of us. A place of comfort for my loneliest moments. It wasn't exactly mine though.
Lando was already there, scrolling on his phone while laying on the large sunbed on the
front dock of his yacht. I quietly went up to him to lay down by his side. He didn't acknowledge my presence for a second, but then he put his mobile down to finally look at me.
We stared at each other in silence before his gaze flickered down; that was when I felt the need to speak up.
"What's happening with Margarida?"
He grimaced at the cold interruption of what he probably wanted to do for quite some time. I was aware of his physical attraction to me, but I didn't want to indulge too much in what a man who had a partner and a million fans had to offer. I was not going to stoop that low; being his friend already seemed scandalous enough for us to keep ourselves in hiding.
"Don't even bring her up right now, love."
Love? That must have been a slip-up but it sounded quite natural to him. But who was he kidding? He was reputed for being a flirt. I wasn't going to let myself be one of his generic victims; so I told him off on the inappropriate use of the nickname, which did not faze him in the slightest. Instead, he joked about my princess side coming out again.
He slowly wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled me close to him. I knew where this was going and I didn't know if I hated or loved it. I felt his hand inch lower and lower, until I stopped him once again despite the tension that had built up in the air. His hand was right on my inner thigh as I looked at him with suspicious eyes. He knew I wanted this though, and the only thing that held me back was my conscience. I wasn't the kind of girl who took any chance she got, especially if the man she loved already had another waiting for him somewhere.
I gently pushed him away and sat up to watch the beautiful sunset view offered by the monégasque coast. He didn't resist it, neither did he complain. He simply mimicked my movements and silently watched as the sky painted the end of another day, of another story.
When the night had completely fallen, a unified sigh escaped our minds. We knew we had to end our journey there. We knew there was nowhere else we could go; that caring so much from the start was a mistake.
We held each other tightly for a moment. We held onto whatever there was left of us.
A tear encapsulating every conversation and every emotion we had ever shared slid down my cheek. It landed in a loud thud on the leather. It felt like a bucket of cold water. We were not what we used to be, and reality finally caught up on us.
It was not about being lonely together anymore. It was not about confessing our deepest pains anymore. We were about to cross a line that shouldn't be crossed. What we thought was sympathy had somehow turned into more than what we could both handle. We started seeking for salvation in each other.
Lingering glances. Crippling tension. Bottled attraction. Little touches. Things we pretended never happened. Everything we ignored slowly burned us down into nothing. And if we didn't want the world to fade away with us, we had to let go.
"Always so damn complicated."
"Only with you."
That was our goodbye. Just like how we started, we ended with no real closure. We walked into each other's life like it was a hotel and checked out, paying the price of a separation that was overdue. It was thoughtless and casually intimate, until it went bordering on the edge of something.
I knew I would fall when he approached me, and I bet he knew he would eventually join me.
Knowing doesn't mean anything though. The theoretical loses on the material. And in reality, the socialite never commits to the prettiest loner.
-
Note: I liked this when I first finished it, but it kind of feels lacking now that I've read it again... I don't know how to feel about it, but I really enjoyed writing this. Don't hesitate to share your opinion, I would love to get some feedback ^^

..........................................
She stepped down the stairs, paying more attention to the man that stood at the bottom of the staircase.
Benjicot Blackwood stood at the bottom of the stairs. He was chatting lightly to a lord, not noticing her approaching yet.
She took a moment to admire him. His broad shoulders flexed as he rolled them back. He no doubt wanted to crawl into a hole and not come back out. She was beginning to know him well just from his body language.
The man he was talking to looked up, noticing her coming down the stairs. "My lady?"
Benji turned immediately at that. His eyes lit up at the sight of her. "My love?" He asked softly.
She hit the bottom step and stopped. "Forgive me. I didn't mean to interrupt you."
Benji let out a soft breath of relief. "No. That's fine." He excused himself from the man and held out his arm like a proper gentleman, which she took.
The two walked down the corridor in silence and she was the one to break it. "You looked miserable."
"Did I?" He immediately asked in concern, then relaxed. "Thought I was hiding it pretty well."
She hummed. "He didn't seem to notice."
"And you did?"
She shrugged and tightened her grip on his bicep. "We're married."
His brows came together in thought. His heart felt a small jolt at the thought that she recognized his anxiety so easily. "We are," he agreed, "Is that how it works?"
"Well, I don't know in all honesty," she admitted. "But I know you fairly well."
"And I to you."
The silence continued as they continued to walk. It was comforting, and they found that they didn't mind it. But Benji's mind was wandering and he couldn't stop it.
"Is that why you interrupted?"
She hummed in consideration of what to tell him. "A lady never interrupts on purpose."
His eyes met hers, and a blush crept over his cheeks. The two looked away.
"I-I'll have to go soon. I have to patrol."
"You won't be here to sup?"
"No..."
"Oh." She pulled her hand back and smoothed down her skirt. "Well, that's alright. How late will you be gone?"
He rubbed at the back of his neck. "I imagine before you sleep, though I'm unsure."
"I've been… missing you, as of late," she admitted with a flushed expression.
His cheeks flushed as well. "H-Have you?"
"It has been a few days." She dared to reach out and brush over his shoulder. "The people are expecting us to do our duties."
"Is that the only reason?" His breathed out as the heat in his body rose.
She stepped forward, placing a delicate kiss to his jaw. "No."
A small whine fell from his lips. His shaky hands made their way to her hips and his head tilted up to give her more room.
She took advantage of it, nipping at his Adam's apple.
He groaned. "I must go."
"Stay," she begged.
"I-I can't."
She placed her forehead on his chest. "But you'll be back soon?"
He brushed a hand through her hair. "As soon as I can be, my love."
The news of the Battle had sent her into a tailspin that evening. Her sweet husband in a battle with the Brackens?
When news was received that the battle had ended, she all but ran to the battlefield. The stable boy had handed her the reigns to her horse and she was off.
Once upon the field, she took note of the numerous scattered bodies across the field. It panicked her more, knowing that her sweet Benjicot could be one of them.
The small group of men across the field loudly chatted and yelled, no doubt celebrating their victory. They were crowded in a circle, all in Blackwood red.
She rode to them, and their attention turned to her.
Benicot stepped out from the circle, his body covered head to toe in blood. His hair was smeared with the remains of his enemies, his eyes so dark, they were hard to spot through the blood.
But that wasn't what was so alarming.
It was the confidence that oozed from his form. His shoulders were back, his chest puffed out in a way she'd never seen. His eyes held a fire to them, one that was now set on her. He sheathed his sword, opening his arms out. "The hell are you doing here?"
She jumped off of her horse, running to him. When within reach, her hands frantically moved over him, trying to figure out his injuries- if he even had any. It was so difficult to tell through the blood. "Are you hurt?"
His hands had instinctively moved to her waist, keeping her in a vice grip. "You sweet woman. So concerned for me, you journeyed into a battle, unsure if it was over yet?"
"Well… yes… I guess so-"
"Hear that boys?" He called over his shoulder. "The lady cares for her new Lord."
They cheered and quipped various things in response, but she heard none of them. "Benji? What do you mean? Is your father-"
"-Dead," he finished for her. "Died to a Bracken sword. And I killed the Bracken. First blood of the new Lord's sword is one of a Bracken! Isn't that joyful?"
Her face fell. "Oh, Benji. I'm so sorry."
"Sorry?" He gawked at her, and a sinister smile came over his face. "I'm Lord Blackwood now. And you are my Lady. Are you not incandescently happy?"
"Benjicot. Are you hurt?"
He shook his head and pulled her closer. "I've never felt more alive," he growled in her ear.
She gripped him by his biceps, her fingers catching on the metal armor around him. "You're different."
His fingers squeezed her hips. "I'm alive," was his answer.
Her head picked up to look up at his face. He was staring down at her, his lips parted. The two took a moment to truly drink the other in.
Benjicot's hand came up to her face and cupped her cheek. The contact made her eyes close for a moment, not caring about the blood that smeared across her cheek.
"My heart is pounding," he admitted.
She braved a move, pushing herself firmly against him and kissing his lips softly.
A groan sounded from within him, and he soon dipped his head down to catch her lips further. The kiss deepened heavily, the two beginning to fight for dominance. Their breaths mixed between kisses.
"I'm taking you back to Raventree," he panted. "Now. I can't wait any longer for a taste of you."
He shouted something over his shoulder at the guys, all of them waving or voicing a bye of sorts, obviously trying to give the lustful man a little privacy.
He spoke as he tugged her along. "The gods have made you just for me, haven't they?"
"I'm beginning to believe they have."
A smirk came across his face. "They have. And I for you. I know how well you take me."
Her face flushed. "I don't know what you're talking ab-"
He dug his heel into the dirt, stopping them and tugging her to him. It caught her off guard, but he caught her with ease. "You do," he pushed. "You know very well what I mean." He leaned forward slowly, as if trying to earn the trust of prey. His face tucked into the crook of her neck, beginning to kiss and lightly suck at the skin. "The way you take me is my proof that the gods are in my favor."
"Not-" her breath caught when he nipped a sensitive spot. "Not your victory over the Brackens?"
"No," he quickly answered, as if it was obvious.
"How much further to your horse?" She softly asked.
He took a deep breath against her, savoring each passing second of being consumed by the very thought of her. "Depends on how many times I have to stop to admire you."
She smiled and tugged at his hair playfully. He groaned.
Seemed that when violence moved through his veins, so did confidence. Not that she minded. Both Benjis were perfect to her.

hello friends !
this is a post i really don't want to make, but i really need help right now, and this is my biggest platform to ask for it.
a few of you might know that i was diagnosed in 2020 with a brain tumour (an oligodendroglioma) and since then, i've been undergoing different treatments and surgeries to try and kill it.
the treatment finally worked earlier this year, and around april, i was given the news that my tumour had been put to sleep. but on friday, i had a scan to check that things are stable, and unfortunately they aren't. my tumour is awake and growing again.
it's growing deeper into my brain, to a place that my surgeon is wary to operate bc of the location. my oncologist has told me firmly that i can't be offered any more radiotherapy treatment bc i've already had it.
the tumour has affected my mental and physical health in so many ways, and now it's growing back on top of everything. i've got very few treatment options, and i was recently let go from my long term employment due to long-term ill health.
rent is a monthly worry, my eyesight has been affected by the tumour and i need glasses that i can't afford to buy, i haven't been to therapy in almost three months bc i can't afford the appointments... the list goes on.
to try and raise some money, i'm selling every kpop photocard that i own bc i have hundreds of the things and they're just sitting in binders collecting dust and they're the only things of value that i have left to sell.
if you're a collector and would like to see what i have, feel free to dm here and ask for my discord or smth, i promise i price fairly and i'm willing to ship worldwide, and you can send offers or quote your own prices for things, i really don't mind. i just need some funds.
alternatively, if you had even a dollar to spare and wanted to, i'll link a place for you to donate. i feel so bad for asking, but if there's anything i can do in exchange, i will. i can make gifs etc, if you'd like a gifset in exchange for a dollar !!
if you're able to help, my paypal is: rin100196.
alternatively, i have a ko-fi: rintual.
thank you for reading this post, if you did. if you'd like to reblog to help me out, i'd appreciate that more than you know !!

Picture Imperfect
Rhea Ripley x Ex-girlfriend reader (18+)
Warnings: Smut/mentions of heartbreak/shitty fiance
Summary: Your ex-girlfriend shows up at your engagement party. Will old habits die hard or the wish of a stable life prevail.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything was perfect.
Or, at least, it was supposed to be.
The garden sparkled in the evening light, every flowerbed meticulously arranged, the white roses glowing like polished porcelain amidst the reds and pinks. The fountains sprayed high in delicate arcs, catching the light as they crisscrossed above the paths. Staff moved with quiet precision, setting out silverware, fluffing napkins, and positioning signs with swirling letters that promised, “To Happily Ever After.”
You took a steadying breath, hands smoothing over the silk fabric of your dress. This is what you wanted, you reminded yourself. You were doing the right thing, the practical thing, the smart thing. He was the safe choice, the perfect match on paper—the dependable, successful kind of man you could build a future with. The man who made sense.
You glanced up at the balcony, catching sight of your fiancé as he gave you a practiced smile and a wink, a sign that everything was falling into place. That this picture of perfection, this life you’d worked so hard to create, was as flawless as it appeared. A life where you could feel… secure. Settled.
This is what I wanted, you told yourself again, a touch more firmly.
Then, arms slipped around your waist, spinning you around, his face beaming with pride. “Don’t you look stunning, my love?”
You forced a light laugh. “Oh, stop, I’m not even—”
“But look at this,” he interrupted, stepping back to admire his suit, catching his reflection in the nearby glass with a grin. You pasted on a bright smile. “Oh, wow, honey, you look… great!”
You moved to slip your arms around him, wanting to feel that warmth, that connection, something real to reassure you. “You know, we do have an hour to ourselves before guests arrive…” You lowered your voice, pressing a little closer. But he darted back quickly, smoothing his jacket with a practiced, panicked motion. “Careful, babe—you’ll wrinkle the suit!”
You let out a laugh that felt strained, the moment already slipping away. Stay calm. This is the right choice.
“Oh, I just thought—” you started, but he cut you off again.
“Hey, use the time to cover that little pimple, hmm?” he chuckled, tapping his cheek. “Can’t have you looking bad in the family photos.”
The words stung, but you swallowed the hurt. This is good, you reminded yourself, holding back any sign of frustration. This is right. He’s dependable. Reliable. The kind of man who would stay.Or be too afraid to leave.
You took another deep breath, stepping into the dress you’d chosen for the evening—a soft yellow to complement his gray suit. You turned, catching your reflection, and forced another smile.
This is everything you wanted.
Or at least, everything you’d convinced yourself you needed.
But an hour into the party, and your fiancé was long gone, laughing with old friends and family members. You drifted from conversation to conversation, half-listening to his uncle drone on about property values in Morocco, until you finally spotted your friends, Indi and Candace, laughing at a table tucked in the corner.
“There’s the woman of the hour!” Candace cheered as you reached them.
“In a very… uninspired dress,” Indi teased, sticking her tongue out.
You gave her a playful glare, reaching over to swipe her glass of champagne, taking a hearty sip as she flicked you off with a grin.
“It’s the perfect complement to my fiancé’s designer suit, thank you very much,” you replied dryly.
“Right. And your fiancé is… where?” Candace said, glancing around the crowd, while Indi jokingly ducked to look under the table.
You sighed, the forced smile faltering. “Last I saw him, he left me with Aunt Jen to discuss our ideal number of children…”
“And we’re supposed to be happy for you because…?” Candace arched a brow.
“Because… he’s stable? Because he’s… safe?” you offered, trying to sound sure of it.
Indi leaned forward, taking your hand in hers. “It’s just not like you. You used to be the life of the party—the one dragging us to dive bars at midnight, buying rounds of those awful Jell-O shots. You’d be making out with Rhea in the corner before the night was even halfway over.”
A small, wistful smile tugged at your lips. The memories came rushing back—the late nights, the messy laughs, Rhea’s intense gaze that always felt like it saw straight through to your soul. Even the little things, like dancing barefoot in her tiny apartment, felt like magic.
“We can’t live in the past forever, can we?” you said, clearing your throat, pushing the memories back where they belonged. The ache lingered anyway.
Indi hesitated. “But with Rhea—”
“No Rhea mentions tonight, please.” You shook your head, the words coming out more forcefully than you intended. “We broke up for a reason. She was flying all over, living out her dream. And I was… I was just there.”
“But you were happy,” Indi said quietly, her gaze unwavering.
You tried to muster up a convincing smile. “With Matt, it’s different. All he wants is a clean house and someone by his side. I know he’s not just going to disappear. With Rhea… I never knew if she’d stay.”
Candace sighed, giving your hand a gentle squeeze. “But when’s the last time you felt real joy? When’s the last time you let loose, or did something that actually excited you?”
You shrugged, forcing a breezy tone. “Can’t you just be happy for me? For one night?”
The worried look Indi and Candace exchanged only deepened the hollow feeling in your chest. But with a tight smile, you excused yourself, making your way back into the crowd, the pressure of perfection building as you found your fiancé’s cousins. They started telling stories about his college days, and you tried to listen, but the voices of your friends kept echoing in your head.
They were right. The old you would’ve laughed at this garden party, with its perfect decor, its soft violin music, its endless parade of well-heeled guests. The old you would be in some dimly lit bar with Rhea, dancing to blaring rock music, the two of you yelling the lyrics into each other’s faces, laughing until your sides hurt. You could almost feel her hands on your waist, pulling you close, her voice murmuring in your ear, “Just you and me, yeah?”
Those were the days when you barely made rent, working long shifts in a retail job you despised. But somehow, even with all the chaos and uncertainty, you were happy, because she was there. You’d found a home in her arms, even if it was temporary.
You let out a shaky breath, memories tugging at your heart, the last conversation with her replaying in your mind. “I can’t keep asking you to wait for me,” Rhea had said that night, her voice low, eyes sad. “I don’t want to be the reason you feel stuck.”
It had felt like she’d ripped something out of you, but you’d told yourself it was the right thing. You wanted stability, something secure. And here you were, right where you’d imagined you wanted to be.
Hours later, as the garden party went on, you finally found your fiancé, engrossed in a conversation about work and upcoming IPOs. You excused yourself, feeling the need for something stronger than champagne. You headed for the bar, ordering a whiskey sour.
Eyes closed, you took a steadying breath, willing yourself to feel the satisfaction you’d hoped this night would bring.
“Tough day, huh?”
Your eyes flew open, and you turned toward the voice.
There, standing beside Indi, was a familiar figure, broad shoulders, muscular arms, dark hair slightly tousled, and that small, crooked smirk you knew so well.
“Surprise,” Indi said softly, giving you a half-smile, as Rhea’s gaze met yours, unflinching.
You stood frozen, your heart pounding in disbelief. This had to be some strange dream. You’d seen Rhea on TV since the breakup, but nothing could have prepared you to see her right here, looking back at you with that familiar warmth in her eyes, like no time had passed at all.
Finally, you managed to choke out, “Indi, can I speak with you…in private?”
Indi gave Rhea a quick, apologetic look before following you a few steps away. The moment you were out of earshot, you hissed, “What the hell, dude!” giving Indi a quick slap on the arm, louder than you intended.
“Don’t hate me!” Indi cringed, raising her hands defensively. “We were out at a bar last week, and I just casually mentioned you were engaged. She practically begged me for the details! And… I may have let it slip about the party,” she mumbled, glancing sheepishly away.
You opened your mouth, ready to let her have it, but stopped short as something sank in. She begged you for details?
Indi’s smile softened, her expression turning a bit sad. “She looked like she was going to burst into tears, if I’m being honest.”
You glanced over your shoulder. There she was, talking with Candace, that easy smile lighting up her face as if she were exactly where she belonged. She was somehow even more striking than you remembered, her frame solid and powerful, the black dress clinging in all the right places. You couldn’t help but remember countless nights when that same dress ended up on your bedroom floor.
Clearing your throat, you whipped back to face Indi, feeling a familiar ache you’d tried so hard to ignore. “And how, exactly, am I supposed to explain to my fiancé that my ex-girlfriend is here?”
Indi smirked, tilting her head toward the far side of the garden, where your fiancé stood, laughing with his friends. “Oh, please. Do you really think he’d even notice if you disappeared for a little while? He looks pretty wrapped up in… himself.”
You chewed your lip, fighting the pull of emotions rising in your chest. From across the garden, Candace caught your eye and gave a subtle, encouraging nod toward Rhea, silently coaxing you to go.
“Fine. Twenty minutes,” you muttered, the words escaping before you could fully think them through. “I’ll talk to Rhea for twenty minutes in the study. If anyone asks where I am, you come and get me.”
Indi’s eyes twinkled with a knowing smile as you took a deep breath, steadying yourself before turning back to Rhea. Candace opened her mouth to say something, but you cut her off.
“Twenty minutes. You, me, library. Start walking,” you ordered, keeping your tone steady as you brushed past Rhea toward the house.
“Yes, ma’am.” Rhea’s reply was light but carried that touch of mischief, and as she shot a concerned look at Indi and Candace, she fell in step behind you.
You moved quickly through the hallways, keeping your steps silent, glancing back now and then to be sure no one was following. When you finally reached the study, you shut the doors behind you, feeling a surge of emotions you’d kept buried for so long.
The words came out before you could stop them. “Do you think my life is some kind of game? Something you can just drop in on whenever you feel like it?”
Rhea’s eyes widened slightly, but she gave a small chuckle. “I’d never play games with your life, but it seems like maybe you are. You used to love making your Sims suffer for fun, but now you’re doing it to yourself.” She cocked her head toward the door. “Seriously, it’s bad enough you’re getting married, but to that guy? I’m not sure his ego could even fit through that doorway.”
You took a breath, caught between the biting truth in her words and the stability you’d worked so hard to build.
Yeah? And what would you even know about my life now?” you scoffed, arms crossing as you kept your gaze on her. “You left it, remember? And look at you now—you seem pretty happy with things. I even saw your face on a toy in Walmart the other day. Real superstar over here."
Rhea sighed, crossing her arms but keeping her eyes on you, a hint of guilt flickering there. “I’m not here to shit on you. It’s just… none of this feels like you,” she said, her voice softer.
“Yeah, well, maybe you don’t know me as well as you think,” you shot back, but Rhea held up a hand, cutting you off gently.
“I know I’m the one who called things off,” she started, voice catching slightly. “And I know it’s been nearly two years, but… I can’t just stand by and watch you ruin your future like this.” She took a small step closer, as if afraid you’d move away.
“‘Loved,’” you corrected her sharply, deflecting. But she stepped even closer, her hand reaching out to catch yours, her grip firm and familiar.
“Love,” she whispered, voice low, her eyes locked onto yours. The intensity in her gaze made your heart stutter, the sincerity of it so raw, just like the day she’d left you. She held your gaze, and you felt the walls you’d built start to crack.
For a moment, everything felt like it had back then—the nights you’d spent together, laughing, arguing, knowing each other so deeply it hurt. But you forced yourself to pull back, snapping back to the present as you broke free of her hold.
“No… no,” you muttered, stepping around her. “I’m not doing this with you again, Rhea. I can’t. You were my everything, and you walked away.” You felt your voice rising, your frustration and heartbreak bubbling over. “You were my world, Rhea. I would have done anything for you—God, I would’ve moved heaven and earth if you’d asked, no questions asked. But it wasn’t enough, was it?”
Her face softened, her posture almost crumbling as she took in your words, letting them land. “I thought… I thought I was doing what was best for you,” she whispered. “Letting you go, leaving, it wasn’t because you weren’t enough. It was because I loved you enough to think… you deserved more.”
You felt a bitter laugh slip out, even as tears began to blur your vision. “So what’s the plan here, then? You want me to call off my engagement, break off my stable, safe future… for you? Just because you finally figured out what you lost?”
“Please, just… listen.” Rhea’s voice was soft, pleading. “I know I messed up. I know I made the choice for both of us, and I’ll regret it for the rest of my life. But I can’t stand the thought of you spending yours unhappy, pretending it’s enough.”
You shook your head, trying to focus, to keep your heart locked up tight. “Maybe I don’t deserve more. Maybe predictable, maybe… comfortable… maybe that’s enough for me.” But even as you said it, you knew she could hear the crack in your voice.
She stepped forward, hands shaking slightly as they cupped your face. “Look at me. Are you really happy?”
Her question made your heart ache. You wanted to scream, to push her away, but as her thumb brushed against your cheek, something broke inside you. Your voice was barely a whisper. “I don’t know anymore.”
In that moment, the gap between you felt unbearable. And before you could second-guess yourself, you reached out, grabbing her face and pulling her down into a kiss, fierce and hungry, every ounce of anger and heartbreak pouring out. Rhea tensed, stunned, but then her hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you in, her kiss deepening as if she’d been starved for this as long as you had.
It felt like time had rewound, like everything you’d both lost was suddenly within reach. Her lips tasted of salt and need, her arms strong and steady as they lifted you effortlessly, guiding you back to the desk. She set you down carefully, her forehead pressed to yours as her fingers trailed up your chin, finally tracing the outline of your lips.
“Let me make it up to you,” she murmured, voice rough with emotion, her eyes fixed on you with a seriousness that took your breath away.
Your heart pounded as you traced your fingers along her jaw, memorizing the feeling. “I shouldn’t… this is crazy…”
But she silenced you with another kiss, gentler this time, her fingers tangling in your hair, every touch filled with unspoken promises, like an answer to the questions you’d buried. And suddenly, you couldn’t hold back.
You parted your lips slowly, allowing her fingers to slip inside, and without thinking, your tongue moved over them, instinctively savoring the warmth of her touch. You held her gaze the entire time, knowing exactly what it did to her—that flicker of excitement and the way her lip caught between her teeth, barely containing a smile as she watched you.
A slow, unspoken tension passed between you, thickening the air, her fingers lingering just a moment longer than they needed to. The intensity in her eyes was impossible to ignore, dark with longing, as though the world beyond this moment had ceased to matter entirely.
“You’re always such a good girl for me huh.” Rhea smirked removing her fingers.
“And I’m so sorry I left you aching for so long.” Rhea said starting to move the silk up your thigh with her other hand making you gasp.
“Ill make sure to..thoughouly appologize.’ Rhea said slipping the wet fingers under your panties.
You cursed under your breath leaning back and arching your back a little pushing out your breast.
“I should have known you would be wet for me. No matter how much time has based. No matter who your with. This will always be my…fucking…cunt.” Rhea said pressing harder into your clit making you moan.
She continued slowly rubbing up and down your slit making small circles on your clit she knew drove you crazy.
“You fucking asshole..please-oh my god.” you groaned as she pushed them into your entrance. Your pussy molding to her fingers like it was a habbit as you groaned and squirmed under her grasp.
“Cmon sweetheart let out those pretty moans for me I can tell your close. Cum on my fingers just like you used to.” Rhea encouraged picking up the pace and pushing  you over the edge.
You barely had a moment to catch your breath before Rhea’s hand found the slit in her dress, sweeping it aside with practiced ease. In one fluid movement, she dropped to her knees before you, lifting your leg over her shoulder with a confidence that made your pulse race. Her eyes flicked up to yours, a silent promise passing between you, deep and familiar.
“Rhe wait it’s to sensitive I- fuck!” you yelped as her tounge danced across your clit.
“Cmon baby I know you can give me one more. I could hear you moan all day.” Rhea groaned pressing her lips against your clit and taking it in her mouth.
The instant her mouth met you, a shockwave rippled through your body, forcing you to arch back as a raw, unfiltered moan escaped your lips. Your hand flew to her hair, tangling in the soft, dark strands, and you felt the cold press of your engagement ring catch, glinting there as if it were a witness to the undeniable pull between you. The weight of that ring—the promise it held to someone else—should have felt wrong, but as her grip tightened on your thigh and she took you deeper, it only made this feel more inevitable, more electric, like a secret you’d longed to surrender to.
Shame should have washed over you, but all you felt was a raw, unapologetic hunger. You’d never thought you’d find yourself on this side of betrayal, but here you were, and the way Rhea moved, the way she knew every unspoken part of you, eclipsed anything you’d felt in years. This wasn’t something you could walk away from—no, not now.
The sloppy erotic sounds between your legs filled the room, blending with your own ragged breaths. When her eyes met yours, a flicker of something deep, an understanding you hadn’t felt with anyone else, you could feel yourself spiraling toward that edge again. Words tumbled out, almost involuntarily, as your walls dropped, and all the feelings you’d tried to bury started to surface, raw and undeniable.
“Please Rhea, take me away from here. Make me feel like this every night again. I’ll be your good girl just like I used to-mhp! Just please.” You panted closer to the edge.
“I promise you my love. Its you and me against the world.” Rhea smiled into your cunt as she started swirling her tounge in an unholy manner making you cover your own mouth before a scream escaped as you came harder than you could have ever imagined in her mouth.
Rhea lapped up every drop as excruciatingly slow as possible saving every drop.
You leaned back against the desk, heart still racing, trying to catch your breath. The sunset filtered through the window, casting a warm glow that caught on the diamond of your engagement ring—one you suddenly felt ready to leave behind.
“Did you… really mean it?” you panted softly, looking up at Rhea.
She stayed kneeling in front of you, her eyes softening, serious in a way that left no room for doubt. “I’m already on one knee, aren’t I?” she whispered.
You half-expected her to flash that familiar smirk, but when you looked down, her expression was unguarded, vulnerable. She was really waiting for you.
“So, you think you can just waltz into my engagement party, plead for me to take you back, have your way with me in my fiancé’s study, and—” your words faltered, breath hitching as the weight of it all sunk in. “And act like I’m supposed to forget that you broke my heart?”
A flicker of worry crossed her face as you tilted her chin up to meet your eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
“Took you long enough, Ripley,” you said, the smile breaking free.
Rhea’s face lit up with a joy that felt almost childlike. In one swift move, she scooped you up, spinning you around as laughter spilled out of you both, the weight of years melting away.
When she finally set you down, she looked at you with a promise in her eyes. “I’m going to keep that smile on your face every day,” she murmured, pressing her lips to yours in a kiss that felt like forever, yet left you wanting more.
A knock on the door jolted you both back to reality.
“Hey, groom’s on the hunt!” Indi called from outside. “Something about a speech he wants to make for you.”
You felt panic bubble up, but Rhea squeezed your hand, a playful glint in her eye. “I’ll see you in ten minutes,” she said, already plotting. “I think I have some sprinklers to… accidentally set off.”
She gave your hand one last kiss before slipping toward the door, her voice dropping to a playful whisper. “Oh, and sweetheart… might want to leave that ring on the desk. Don’t want any misunderstandings about whose fiancée you are.”
You grinned, unable to help yourself as you slipped off the ring, feeling the lightness that came with it. Following her out the door, you found Indi waiting, arms crossed, eyebrows raised.
“So, what kind of trouble are we about to get into?” she asked, smirking.
You couldn’t help the grin spreading across your face, feeling lighter than you had in years.
“Might want to ditch those heels, Indi,” you said, voice bubbling with excitement. “I’ve got a future to catch.”
Hellooooo lovelies I hope you are well! I had this idea the other day between writing vampire part 2 so I had to provide it since rhea is on hiatus anyway. I DO NOT CONDONE CHEATING THIS IS A FANTASY.

domestic oscar isaac characters
headcanons really help writer's block.
Anselm
has found the secret to a happy marriage: keeping you well-fucked, well-funded and well-fed. that way you want for nothing unless it is dire.
He'll buy you gifts, typically with some innuendo, give you a healthy couple of orgasms, and have the cooks make you a delectable feast for dinner. If he had his way you'd just be in bed all day, being pleasured and dining on an exquisite menu.
Probably the first marriage ever consummated during the vows. Your wedding attire was too much, he couldn't handle it. He has you keep it for your anniversaries so you can recreate the scene.
Anselm talks about you relentlessly to his clients. By god the man won't shut up. He uses it as a measure of character; how politely will the guests speak about you and if they'll let him derail the meeting to talk lovingly about your latest accomplishment?
Very patient and loving. Seriously Gomez Addams coded. Sometimes he gets so overworked thinking about all the big things to show his love that he forgets the little things. You gently remind him that sometimes a night in is okay and that you don't have to do anything wild in the bedroom, as long as he's with you.
refuses to discuss a will and testament or any after-death things. Doesn't even want to think about it.
Nathan
already did this for him but idc.
likes existing together. Both of you have your hobbies, they don't necessarily have to involve both of you, but if you can do them together in the same space, that's enough for him.
lets you do your thing, but likes to keep tabs on your location. Not in a stalker way, but it helps his anxiety if you go somewhere without him. Sometimes he'll just text you a hello? and you'll respond with how you're feeling and how quickly you'll be home.
clingy.
also very tactile. if he fucks up programming or something, back rubs and a hug are good ways to calm him down.
Really good at remembering anniversaries and dates. He doesn't like big showy things though. Small, sentimental gifts or watching a movie on the couch.
Leto
ensures your relationship is as stable as stone. Communicates so well, always says what he's feeling, would not keep a secret even if he was at gunpoint.
everything he counsels runs by you first. every plan he makes, every decision, all will have your input. He makes you a wax seal and refuses to acknowledge anything if it isn't on the paper.
makes sure to have an hour with you alone every day. Could be sexy, could be a meal together, could be taking a walk around the grounds, but he needs that hour. If he's ever on a trip, he schedules a holo conference.
If the matter of children ever arises, I think he'd listen to you very carefully. He'd do everything the way you prefer, and be very attentive during the entire process. Leto would forbid a wet nurse or any kind of nanny, in order to keep you and the baby safe.
not opposed to holding the baby during a council meeting. what's anybody gonna say about it?
Poe
literally the most wholesome relationship ever.
makes you laugh, teases you, runs around like a teenager. some people say 'oh he'll never settle.'
but he can keep it serious too. He always checks in if you're feeling down or stressed. Will literally elope with you if you show any stress at all about the wedding. Even if it's just about cake flavors.
idk if any of you know Sheena Melwani and her husband TRID but I think he'd be a lot like TRID. go check them out on youtube it's so wholesome.
dances with you every night. He loves music, and will always pick a song from the planets he visits to show you when he returns. Your favorites are his home planet Yavin, Naboo and Coruscant.
gets matching tattoos with you of a little x wing and a planet. (you're the planet obviously, because he thinks of you as home)
I'll make a part two but this is who I fit in this one.

Simon Headcannons
- now just for yall out there, this is my take on mean Simon, so no hands or anything to any other writers 🫶 -
———
Simon knows he’s not the best lover to have, and he even warned you that he isn’t anyone’s cup of tea especially for pretty young things. He’d rather have someone who is financially stable, knows how to navigate life and knows how to do things yourself. It saves him the time and his patience. But still, if you pushed to date him, then so be it. He’s told you once and he won’t repeat himself
•Simon who can hold a conversation with people without being a total ass. He knows people are just naturally hesitant about his size and looks. And no, he won’t be mean to anyone who asks a simple question. Except if it’s a dumb question then he’s gonna say something
•Simon who brings home military training because it’s the norm for him. He told you his job and what he does and he trusts (expects) you to remember what rank and position he holds and how it makes him act. He’ll tell you he very rarely comes home, so there’s no warm cozy home for you to decorate. He lives on base and he lives at work, two birds one stone. What does he need an apartment in Manchester for?
•Simon who does not like to cuddle- at all. He’ll let you play a lovely civy life with him, as long as you don’t expect him to drop his personal space and boundaries. He can’t help it, all people live differently. He likes the bed warm, obviously not cold, but if you try to cling to him. He’s telling you to scoot back and he stays on his side. And if you’re one of those people who take up the whole bed, he’s staying towards the edge, he’s throwing your hand that’s in his space back towards you. And if you keep moving as such (which isn’t your fault btw) he’ll up and leave. Sleeping on the couch- or even the floor
•Simon who won’t follow you to the restroom. And no, he won’t wake up when you move just the slightest. He actually sleeps, like every other person does and has to. He knows sleep is important, especially in the military. Whether it’s a few minutes or hours. He’s out. You can talk on the phone with your friends or whoever and he won’t wake up. You can shake him a bit but if actually full on grab his arm or anything, he’s grabbing your wrist. And if you do however make a lot of noise and sees you not there but the bathroom light on. He’s going right back to sleep, lord knows he wouldn’t like you on his tail when he’s using the restroom. Respect his privacy and he’ll respect yours
•Simon who’s not grumpy and mean all the time. He’ll crack jokes, you just have to really understand and get behind his dark and dry humor. If anything, tell a really good joke and he’ll laugh. He’s just like every other man. He’ll loosen up but not enough to make a fool of himself
•Simon who has manners, he knows the military doesn’t care if you say thank you or your welcome. If you do as told and stay quiet, then you’re alright. But he knows civy life is different, if you cook, make or bake, he’s saying his thank you’s and telling you it’s good. What he won’t do, is pull you into his lap and make you sit there while he eats. He finds it awkward and a little uncomfortable. He eats fast, so if you’re expecting him to take his time and actually talk to you. You’re wrong, you can ask and he’ll take it into suggestion. But there’s no guarantees. When he eats, he eats, and again, it’s the norm for him
•Simon who won’t hand you his card and tell you to go ham, instead, you can ask for money. If you’re married that’s a different story, he’ll ask what it is and if you really need it. He’ll let you slide off the hook a few times but nothing too crazy or over the top. Now the marriage part, i think it would be pretty impossible to marry him considering how he’s self aware and tries to help you keep your self esteem high and your self worth even higher. He tells you that he’s not going to make a good husband- he’s not going to come home all the time when he’s at base. He won’t make an effort and go all out just to show you he loves you. Instead, he’ll try and get you to leave him. But easier said than done
•Simon who will sleep with you, if you want. My guess is he’d rather sleep his needs off than act on it if he has the time. If not, he’ll rub one out. If you fully offer yourself to him, don’t get upset that he goes somewhere private to alleviate his stress rather than come to you. He’s still getting use to staying with you. Either that, or he just forgot. If you do however manage to get him to sleep with you. He’s just going with the flow, doesn’t really want anything rough, if you ask him to go harder than he will…. Just not anything animalistic. He’s quiet rather than degrading, he doesn’t choke you, doesn’t spank you. He’d rather have plain vanilla sex without anything too crazy
•Simon who would still love you, maybe a little more than when he first started talking to you. But that’s what “falling in love with you more and more everyday” means to him. He shows you his love in his own way. Always lets you know he appreciates whatever it is that you do for him even though he can do things himself. He’ll take you out for dinner, nothing fancy to where he’ll dress in a suit or tie but nothing where he’ll wear his pajamas. Just a nice casual dinner.

sleeping on the floor is S tier btw

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since her encounter with Cora at the church, Wilhelmina had been increasingly preoccupied with the idea of sending their children to school. The thought wouldn’t leave her mind, and though she knew Edwin might resist the notion of Thomas and Robert stepping away from their duties on the farm to pursue education, she felt strongly that it was the right thing to do.
That day, Wilhelmina waited patiently until Edwin had a free moment. As dusk fell and the chores wound down, she finally approached him. She asked him to sit with her, choosing the small workshop where Edwin had been spending his evenings making candles, a task that seemed to soothe his nerves after long, hard days.
Wilhelmina carefully poured them both some tea and set out a slice of the cake left over from the previous day. Edwin, already seated across from her, watched her closely, sensing that she had something on her mind. She fiddled with the teacup, searching for the right words, while Edwin’s brow furrowed with a mix of concern and impatience.
“What’s troubling you that you don’t know how to say?” Edwin finally broke the silence, his tone gentle but with a hint of urgency.
Wilhelmina offered a small, tentative smile, her eyes downcast. “Well, a few weeks ago, I ran into Cora while I was in the village” she began, her voice steady but cautious “You’ve probably heard about the new school they’ve built near the church…”
Edwin nodded, leaning back slightly in his chair, his curiosity piqued. He had an inkling of where this conversation was heading but chose to let her speak.
“She mentioned she’s planning to enrol her children, at least Bernard” Wilhelmina continued, her gaze now fixed on Edwin, gauging his reaction. “It got me thinking… maybe it would be good to enrol Thomas and Robert as well…” She paused briefly before quickly adding “It’s free, Edwin. We wouldn’t have to pay anything.”
Despite her attempt to frame the idea positively, Edwin’s expression darkened. He let out a heavy sigh and shook his head. “No, I’m sorry, Wilhelmina” he said, his voice firm, leaving no room for negotiation. “I can’t agree to that.”
“But-” Wilhelmina began, but Edwin cut her off.
“No, love, no” he said, more forcefully this time. “If we send the boys to school, who’s going to help me on the farm? Who’s going to do the work that needs doing every day?” He shook his head again, his tone resolute. It was clear the idea didn’t sit well with him at all.
“I could help more, and the girls could too” Wilhelmina suggested, her voice soft but determined.
“And who’s going to keep the house running if you’re out in the fields?” Edwin countered, his frustration beginning to show.
Wilhelmina fell silent, the tension between them growing thicker. She looked at Edwin, her expression a mix of frustration and sadness, but she didn’t raise her voice. That wasn’t her way. “Edwin, you work so hard, and I’m grateful for it. But farming is so unpredictable… Don’t you see that? If the boys get an education, they could find work that guarantees them a future, a stable life where they’re not at the mercy of the land and the weather.”
“Nothing in this world is guaranteed” Edwin replied sharply, his eyes narrowing. “Enough, Wilhelmina.”
“But we could give them a chance-” Wilhelmina tried again, her voice growing more urgent.
“I said enough!” Edwin’s voice rang out as he stood abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the floor. “I’ve made my decision and it’s final. The farm will bounce back, we’ve been through rough patches before, and we’ll get through this one. The boys will stay here and do their part, like they always have.”
Wilhelmina crossed her arms tightly over her chest and looked away, her frustration evident. She hated when Edwin raised his voice, but she knew better than to argue further. Her silence spoke volumes, and she knew Edwin could see the hurt in her eyes. But he was already turning away, retreating back to his work, leaving her alone with her thoughts and the unresolved tension between them.

HUH…THAT WAS CURIOUS. What was he about to say? That Calcharo made him feel at ease? If so, what a truly bizarre way to feel about someone as dangerous as him. Could he name anyone who ever thought that? Then again, this was Jiyan. That should have been more than enough of an explanation without having to dig any deeper. ❝If you follow my advice, then in exchange, I’ll attempt to do the same. Sounds like a fair enough deal, don’t you think?❞ Taking it easy… That was something that Calcharo was terrible at doing. Any medic back at headquarters could have easily told Jiyan that he had a tendency to keep going forward even when he should stop and take a break. Like recently. Was that not the whole reason that he was invited out in the first place? The other being worried and concerned for his well-being? After all, from watching the general, it was clear that he often came here alone – tending to the graves, pulling away weeds…
Tumblr media
Was this relaxing for him? Did he feel at peace doing all of this? Or maybe this also was a means of solidifying his resolve until it was stronger than any steel. Seeing these flowers swaying in the breeze, and looking upon the graves of those who had passed fighting for the same thing he did each and every day… Calcharo could see how this would ignite an ever-greater desire to see that these sacrifices were not in vain. Arms crossing over his chest come the other’s ‘lecture’, he let out a soft sigh. ❝Yes, yes, of course. I’ll keep that in mind. Besides, I know you’ll hold to those words if I don’t.❞ No one would so much as raise a fuss if Jiyan had decided to stick around after carrying Calcharo back like some blushing bride. They’d even attempt to make sure he was comfortable the whole time he was there. ❝You’ll probably even sit by bedside the entire time until I recover as well, knowing you. When I first almost overclocked weeks ago, I have no doubt you would have continued to linger even though you had things back at Norfall Barrens that required your attention.❞
He wondered if, back then, one of the reasons that Jiyan had stayed as long as he did was to also monitor Calcharo and ensure that his condition remained stable, leaving when he was sure that everything was in order and the danger had passed. ❝All that aside…is there anything else you wanted to do? Since I’m here, I might as well continue to follow the ‘doctor’s orders’ and relax…even if my doctor should also be doing the same as well. The Midnight Rangers might thank me in making sure you don’t end up in your head.
The sides of his mouth curved upwards as he lowered his gaze. Indeed, he may be a resolute man that never flinches in the face of danger, a genius chosen by the very Sentinel, but he still was just a human like everyone else. It truly would be concerning if he remained unscathed by the war after so many years in the frontline. A small nod followed, but what Calcharo said next made him tilt his head slightly to the side. "I don't think I can agree with that. In fact, I think it's quite easy to talk to you, even if the topic is one I wasn't planning on telling to anyone." He couldn't explain why that was, but the words just flow when he's in the company of the mercenary leader. It was... nice. "You make me feel..." At peace, like he can relax, even though 'relaxing' wasn't something the general of the Midnight Rangers was known for.
"And you give good advices, as well. But, I'll admit it that I would appreciate it if you could follow your own advices from time to time, too." A brief but sincere laugh followed, but could anyone really blame the general for laughing? After all, it was amusing that Calcharo (Calcharo!) was telling him to not push himself. As if the reason why they were here in the first place wasn't because he wanted the mercenary leader to take it easy and get the rest their body surely was begging them to get. (Never mind the fact that Jiyan usually is just as bad, if not worse). Ah, but he would be lying if he said that stubbornness isn't one of the many things he loves about this impossible man.
Tumblr media
"But, jokes aside, please don't ask of yourself more than you would ask from your ghost hounds. If your body asks you to rest, then, please, rest. You're one of the strongest individuals I had the luck to meet, and I'm aware that you have survived far worse before coming to Huanglong, that you can push through any obstacle in your path. But, just because you can do it, doesn't mean you have to do it." He paused then, hoping that his words reached Calcharo just like theirs reached him.
Then, aware of how serious he had gotten all of a sudden, decided to lighten up the mood by saying: "I'll really carry you myself if there's a next time. And your ghost hounds like me, so I don't think there'll be any objections if I stick around to make sure you're following the doctor's instructions."

danny and officer martinez's relationship in "late at night, when the nightingale sings" in a nutshell:
Tumblr media
Martinez: FREAK! GET YOUR FUCKING KID!
Battinson, on the other side of the crime scene: he don't bite
Martinez, with Nightingale firmly attached his arm, visibly biting him: YES HE DO!
*points at them* Danny is the Bugs Bunny to Martinez's Elmer Fudd.
Another Officer: i can't believe you're fighting with an actual twelve year old. Martinez: i swear to god that is not a twelve year old, that is a little hellion that crawled out of batman's shadow one dark and stormy night and decided to dedicate his existence to tormenting me. Officer: Are you really that mad about him putting a sticky note on your back-- Martinez: thats not the point
in danny's defense: the word "freak" is. a mini beserker button for him for.... obvious ghostly reasons, so like, even if its not directed at him, he still very much unappreciates Martinez's insults at Battinson. Danny may or may not be projecting.
he's not going to hurt the guy! not in any serious or permanently disfiguring way at least! But he is going to leave mean sticky notes on the square part of his spine that he can't reach, and stick salt in his 3AM Late Night Crime Scene Coffee, and kick the bottom of his heel while he's walking so he stumbles. And other petty, infuriating things that tally up and boil over, over time.
#dpxdc#danny fenton is not the ghost king#dp x dc#dpxdc crossover#blood blossom au#dpxdc memes#dpxdc au#the only thing martinez is right about is the fact that danny is. in fact. NOT twelve.#he's just shrimpy because he's half-dead#there's eventually a 'martinez vs nightingale' board in the precinct called the beef board. it tallies every time one of them gets got by#the other. danny is currently in the lead by a wide margin. martinez is very limited in what he can do bc of multiple reasons. but one#of them is the fact that batman HAS punched a cop before. three actually. and he won't hesitate to punch another if martinez actually did#anything to harm nightingale. and also nightingale shows up so rarely and doesnt stick around long enough for martinez to retaliate#or properly plan ahead. its kinda a wild card whether or not nightingale pops up on the scene.#nightingale: i am just a little guy!! the littlest of boy!! baddabing-baddaboom! you wouldn't do nothin to a little guy would'ya?#battinson who atp knows full well that if it werent for the blood blossom danny could turn martinez into a red smear: *would you?*#danny: if it werent for the laws of this land i would have committed acts of violence against You Specifically :)#and also like. every single other officer insulting batman and callin him a freak. they're not safe either martinez is just the poor sucker#that i have a name to give the face to#danny's a good kid but also i don't picture him totally.. hm... mentally stable? he's a little spicy. as a treat.#he's kind at his core but also he found his family's corpses and was isolated from society for 4 months by his abusive godfather and was#poisoned with quite literally the only toxin capable of destroying him entirely and can no longer (currently) use his powers without dying#instantly. so he's! he's doing his best! like between being chaotic and being kind he's def gonna choose being kind but also.#he's living on borrowed time and is in a constant active state of being slowly eaten alive by his own bloodstream. it weighs on ya psyche#danny's barely even processed his family's death and now he's got all this other trauma stacked on top to address. he is Windows EXP rn#tormenting martinez is just. an itty bitty way he can let loose some of the stress he's ignoring.#considering danny's alternate timeline was: world annihilation. he thinks he's doing pretty well all things considered

do you ever feel casually suicidal? like you're not depressed or anything you're doing fine but also it feels like a convenient option
#if you can't make connections with people or be seen by anyone then like. at least you can feel like you're helping a better cause#to like charities and gfms and anyone else#but you have to tone that down bc you're slowly losing money bc you still can't get a job#and bc you don't have a job it means you're just stuck in the house all day. which gives Way Too Much opportunity to Think about everything#and also so like. i still share a room with my sister but it was fine bc she'd stay at her bf's a few nights a week#but he's got a job that's a bit further away and basically she can't go round his as much. so now it's maybe like once a week#the room is getting messier so it gives me less energy to do anything#you can get really into an unhealthy weight loss obsession bc at least it feels like you're getting towards something#but idek is set weight theory real? bc once i get down to a certain point it suddenly resets#like honestly counting calories and donating money to every gfm i saw and writing a film script was what kept me going#but first one isn't working and second i need some sort of income and third is finished and i have no way of actually creating it#and then there's the whole lack of stable hyperfixation and ability to find new music i enjoy#and realistically what would fix me is having a good job that i enjoy and somewhere to live on my own#but until i get a job that's currently impossible. and even then it probably won't feel like enough#my entire life is lived on my phone i need more physical objects but i don't have enough space#bc i share a room with my sister. it's like all my problems are connected#and i have enough optimism that i still think it'll get better in the next few weeks. maybe i'll be able to get a job and that'll#get everything going again#but at the same time i could easily just die#I've graduated from uni. I've seen the who live 3 times. I've crashed my car twice. I've watched 30 years of corrie. I've met various dogs#what else is there to do with my life honestly#(<- joking)#but yeah like. in summer 2021 i almost got suicidal (it was just letting the occasional thought linger in my mind etc)#but that was bc i was so depressed#but now it feels like i could just kill myself. but more just out of convenience#idek. i'm not gonna kill myself. bc i have a job interview on tuesday. and just in general i won't#but there is this casual feeling of like. well i might as well. i can't describe it#ramble#suicide tw#weight loss mention

Chakotay leaning on the fact that he was Maquis to play-flirt with Janeway as they work on reports after hours and Janeway laughs, waving him off with a smirk and at the moment she says something like “I haven’t been charmed by the bad boy routine since I was in 8th grade” she turns to see Tuvok (also with them, has been there the whole time) looking very much charmed by the bad boy routine. (Only she can tell this.)
#Tuvok: -looking at Chakotay with a neutral expression- / Janeway: -bisexual pride flag in the background- ~!?????#play-flirt means he means it but also he's joking#anyway...Chakotay & Neelix could have had Janeway & Tuvok if they respectively let their hair gray and played up their criminal past#Tuvok: I don't want to get involved with people#Hot morally dubious guy who struggles with himself: Hi can you- / Tuvok: Yes.#Teen Tuvok wrote sooo many self insert fanfics where a hot rebel came to take him away from the temple to kiss and say 'society sucks!!'#and after he left the temple and achieved inner peace he rewrote them so that he eventually got the hot rebel to see the light and renounce#his rebel ways bc Tuvok is sooo smart and wise and handsome and correct#He wouldn't feel this way about Chakotay (Tuvok has grown and Chakotay is too stable and kind)#but that doesn't mean there isn't a little twinge of that badboy allure every now and then (Tuvok /hates/ this...Chakotay must NEVER know)#Tuvok: We should technobabble technobabble. / Chakotay: How long will that take? / Tuvok: Approximately one hour.#Chakotay: We can't wait that long. -does some on the fly big brain bullshit- There. -grins- That's how we did it in the Maquis.#Tuvok: -pupils fully dilated- .......Need I remind you that I was /in/ the Maquis Commander? -walks past him-#Chakotay: -calling after him- Then you do it next time~!!!#this post can be about chakotay/tuvok or the whole polycule <3#Janeway#Chakotay#Tuvok#Janeway & Tuvok constantly question each others taste in men but they sync up to say 'Commander Chakotay' before losing it again

Honestly where I come from horse riding is pretty expensive and if you say you can ride, it's expected that you can fully control a horse in three basic gaits - it's usually a prerequisite to a trail ride, so you have to take lessons beforehand - often many hours - and those aren't cheap. That's why I pretty much haven't even started the lessons until I had my own money to spend. Just sitting throughout the ride is alright and I believe people can do it with little training, but controlling the exact tempo and direction in canter is a whole different thing.
