First impression

I was just scrolling though the TFA tags before finishing my first watch of the show (bc... I'm like that I guess. I am willing to spoil myself stuff just so I can see fanart of them before I finish the show </3) and OF COURSE I saw him.

I immediately was like "OH,, HIS DESIGN IS FUN,," and he was a lil hyped up for me based on how ppl are like "look at this lil cute boy <33!!!!!"

hearing his voice for the first time caught me off guard since ppl were drawing him.. In a certain way that doesn't quite indicate how much of a cringe nerd he actually is. He's just such a weirdo!! And thank god for that!! I wouldn't want him any other way, also I related heavily to his talking habits that's where the roots of kinning happened </3

What's also cool is that he is still kinda badass while still definitely being such a dweeb, like he ran across the galaxy!!! How did he do that??? Fucked up. Also despite being somewhat eccentric, he is definitely one of the most level headed characters on the show and that's just a fun concept to me :]

Idea for a story

ooogh... i got some ideas.

I love seeing stories abt him dealing with the cube trauma but sometimes I think about what if he just went over to shockwave in prison and lashes out at him but in the end it just. Doesn't make him feel better and he's like "WOW. THIS SUCKS I NEED THERAPY"

Then there's an AU I've been thinking of where Blurr joins the crew from the start bc Ultra Magnus wanted someone to keep direct tabs on Optimus for him (and also intel didn't want to deal with him anymore so they just willingly sent him away </3) then u explore how he fits into the crew now (bonus points if he actually joins illegal street racing on his own terms this time, and then bee finds out and is like "dude what the fuck". There's reasons for this of course- this didnt come outta nowhere)

Then there's all the blurrbee fics that are in my brain, but the one I find rlly fun and interesting is Blurr gets forced to have a partner bc the cube incident and of course he's like "no!! I want to avoid social interaction bc i have social anxiety problems" but he looks at the list of new elite guard members for him to mentor and he sees. Bumblebee on that list. Apparently Bee's got the chops to be a really good scout, plus his reputation as a member of Team Prime made them willing to accept him into the Elite Guard. So now Bee is mentored by Blurr and is also Blurr's emotional support bot, plus they go on fun adventures and fall in love <3 good for them

Unpopular opinion

as I've said.. blurrs not a "lil cute boy". He's not some pushover!!! he's immensely stubborn and does not let willingly let anything get in his way!! He is also super intolerant of bullshit so he's probably going to shut down any of that before it gets out of hand

also while i do rlly like the idea of longarm and Blurr being friends, I think it's rlly funny if they were bitter workplace rivals and constantly going back and forth being extremely passive aggressive while maintaining professionalism. Like how blurr was sent to earth by longarm before he was able to get his breakthrough on the Flipsides case!! I imagine that conversation being like

OK Yeah. Its Blurrbee. I'm just so in love with their dynamic in the show and also what ISNT in the show. There's actually this bit in the Allspark Almanac where Blurr talks about how he thinks of Bumblebee as slightly annoying but has his heart in the right place and??? That's so sweet?? Blurr genuinely has a good opinion of Bee from the start and respects him which is. Very different from how a lot of other bots see Bumblebee.

i (re)read some of your annie fics today and she really is one of the best aot characters, i can’t believe i didn’t care about her at first. i thought she was so cold (partly because of the dub version of my country) and before knowing more about her and how marley works i really was mad at her for killing all these people but context is very important in her story. anyways i read your post rumbling headcanons and it’s so SOFT, annie really deserves it after everything she had to go through, especially since she thought she was gonna die at a really young age, she can fully enjoy her life now. i am also a big supporter of lesbian annie, i don’t like her with men and annie x armin makes me uncomfortable for some reason, people ship it because armin kept visiting her when she was in her crystal but it was him being obsessed while she couldn’t do anything and i don’t really see how it’s supposed to be romantic? so yeah i really don’t like that ship but if i have to be honest i don’t really like either of armin, eren or mikasa. all the side characters are so great and so interesting that the main ones can seem boring at times.

i’ve also read the great hair massacre of 857 and please it was so sweet and funny!! the whole conversation was already funny but then “There you go saying that gay shit again…” actually made me laugh out loud askljldfijdf. the dialogue in this fic was really great, it seemed so natural!! i really love seeing that side of annie, thank you for blessing us with that content! she was so in character too, the reference to her relationship with her dad was subtle but very welcomed, her tearing up after saying “i left” made my heart clench, her relationship with her father is very complex and you wrote it well!

after reading i got curious and wanted to see annie with actual bangs (apart from that flashback we got in season 4) and i couldn’t find anything, i really wish i could draw rn. oh and both the headcanons and the fic being in canon made me so happy too!! i know i’ve already said it but it’s so rare reading aot stuff in canon i really cherish canon fics when i find them! (that being said, I absolutely love your AUs, i guess i’m just a big fan of your writing!!)

annie kinda feels underrated sometimes which is weird because she seems present in a lot of fics and fanart but she doesn’t seem to have that many fans? especially compared to some others. she 100% deserves more love.

pppffft i was in the opposite situation - i loved her before i knew shit about her character and then felt like a traitor when i pieced together who she was and what she had done.... not sure when you got into snk but i watched season 1 the year it came out and kept up with it so i've really felt every cliffhanger in my bones. i started reading the manga after season 2 aired. my point is that i loved her through Annie all along with her flaws from the beginning, and i've never thought she was "good" per se but it's also obvious that she's affected by what she's done. i always figured there was more to her story than we knew; her reactions, the way she cries over the dead, and the fact that she gives up on her mission that's literally her purpose in life all indicate remorse beyond just regretting being caught. even way back in the day i was like: SHE DOES NOT WANT TO BE DOING THIS!! IM TELLING YOU! my brother would constantly be telling me to shut up slksajdfkj but in the end i was right! i just didn't realize that pretty much ALL of the warriors didn't want to be doing what they did, or how complex it all was. she really does deserve a peaceful life being able to do what she wants. i used to cry about her having to die at age 24 a lot, so the ending taking away the titan curse is just about the only part of the ending i vibe with.

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Involved as in ‘frantically read every book I could get my hands on, daydreamed about being part of that universe and wrote stories/made art inspired by the books, if not actual fanfiction’? Mm, probably The Chronicles of Narnia when I was six or seven. The next great obsession was The Silver Brumby when I went through my horse stage around age 12, and then Sweet Valley High when I was 15. Hahaha.

2. What is your latest fandom?

Marvel! I’m not into comics and I’m definitely not interested in consuming every last bit of canon material or memorising the variations of every universe, but I love (most of) the movies and Agents of SHIELD is pretty cool.

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

Star Trek Voyager. No contest. I venture to suggest that the older fandoms, the ones that are all about defunct shows, are a hell of a lot more chilled. Maybe because we’ve come to terms with our shitty canon endings and learned that liking the ship you hate doesn’t make someone problematic, unlike some newer fandoms I could name (Yes I’m talking about you, Game of Thrones fans. What the fuck.)

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

I’ve dipped a toe into one or two fandoms for shows or books I’ve really enjoyed and backed the fuck out when the vibe gets weird (oh hey, it’s GoT again), but nope. No regrets.

5. Which fandoms have you written fanfiction for?

All the Star Treks except TOS, and a Trek/MCU crossover. I’d like to write more for MCU someday. Plus I’ve written longhand entire notebooks full of teen romance shit that bore an uncanny similarity to SVH, and my first short story was a fantasy fic that featured a girl whose guardian was a wise talking lion who led her into mystical secret worlds, which is kind of familiar.

I’m too tired to do every fandom, and besides, I can come around to almost any ship if the headcanons (or fics) are convincing enough. I do have a few hard no-gos, but they might be someone else’s OTP so I’ll shut up about them.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

Reluctantly. The MCU movies are not something I ever thought I’d enjoy beyond a dull evening’s entertainment. I never expected to get attached to the characters. And yet.

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

Voyager is my forever fandom and the only one where I’ve really interacted with other fans. The best things about it? In general, everyone is just cool, accepting, open and basically awesome. And talented. I love my Party Bus people.

10.  Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Sure. The 100, Veronica Mars and Agents of SHIELD are the ones I’d dip into more frequently. I really enjoy crossovers between Trek and BSG or the Stargate variants, too.

Lol, a few things that should probably have never seen the light of day for various reasons, some of them leola related. But I’ve only deleted two fics that I can recall.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

Relieved. It’s a 30k AU Chakotay moral dilemma backstory that brings in DS9 characters, Section 31 and his longstanding history with AU Janeway. I did so much research for it (way back in the days before memory alpha and chakoteya.net) and I’m really proud of how I wound in canon stuff across series but changed a few key bits and pieces. Only problem is, it’s a sequel to ...

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

... Pressure, which I can’t even read without cringing. My characterisation of Janeway, even Angry Maquis AU Janeway, is way over the top and there are moments that verge on Mills and Boon and give me first, second and third hand embarrassment. God, I’d love to rewrite it. Actually, that’s a lie. I want someone else to rewrite it so I can read it without covering my eyes and moaning.

25. What’s your most popular fanfic?

Desperate Measures, by about 70,000 light years, lol. Although Fragile Things beats it on bookmarks.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

You know what? A fair percentage of the time, I think of the title first and come up with a plot second. Aside from that, I prefer shorter, punchier titles that clearly tie into the story (Flight Risk, Speechless), though sometimes it’s song lyrics (Burn Our Horizons, your body like a searchlight) or a literary quote (Required to Bear, All the Devils are Here) or a turn of phrase from the story itself (The Prisons You Inhabit). Hey that was fun. Thanks for letting me pimp the shit out of my stories.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Ugh, it depends on the day. Summaries are harder, I think. I never want to give away too much of the plot, but there has to be enough there for people to know whether they’ll bother clicking. Funny story: I actually ran the stats on this a few months back. Here they are for your edification:

Fics with a one line plot summary = 54%

With two or three line plot summary = 18%

With a short snippet directly from the fic = 16%

With a snippet + a one line explanation = 3%

With a one line plot summary plus a line to date the fic (eg "set in season 3", “episode tag to Worst Case Scenario") or the fic prompt = 7%

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

I used to regularly ask @jhelenoftrek​ and @littleobsessions90 to beta for me, and both of them are brilliant at it. Lately I’ve been posting without sending my stuff off for editing. This is partly because I’m impatient to get stuff out there, partly because I don’t have as much time to write/edit, and partly because I’m a little less focused on improving my writing and more on enjoying it for its own sake.

30. What inspires you to write?

Little bits of episode dialogue I haven’t noticed before, other people’s fanfiction, stray conversations, fic prompts, song lyrics, random headcanons, fever dreams, dares ...

31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?

I’ve been really lucky with comments on my fic. The least helpful comment I’ve ever received was on one of my early 30k fics and all it said was “Did you have to take the name of the lord in vain?” Which is kind of funny. The nicest thing anyone’s ever said? I’m very partial to the feedback that starts “I don’t even like this pairing/genre/trope/show but you made me love it”, and particularly “I’ll read anything you write, I don’t care what it’s about.” But all comments are gold. The little heart button is cool too.

32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

I’m not someone who can tune out music I love, or leave it in the background to inspire me. If it’s on, I’m fully invested in it. I’m that annoying person in the car who flips radio stations every three seconds until I find something I like and then it’s on 11 and I’m singing along to it. I’m also really picky but extremely eclectic, although there are genres I can’t stand (anything with autotune makes me stabby). That said, sometimes I find a song that I can’t stop listening to for weeks and often that perfect combination of music and lyrics will inspire me to write a fic. For example, I just plotted out an entire J/C story because of this song.

33. Do you write oneshots, multi-chapter fics or huuuuuge epics?

All of the above. Although I’m not sure if my longest epic is huuuuuge or just huuuge.

34. What’s the word count on your longest fic?

101,467.

35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?

I have two drabble collections. One is all J/C, full of responses to random prompts and I add to it sporadically. The other is episode additions set on Kathryn Janeway’s birthday (May 20) and added to annually.

36. What’s your favourite genre to write?

Angst, definitely. Sometimes it’s smutty angst or fluffy angst or hurt/comfort angst, but often it’s just fucking unrelenting angst. And I’m okay with that.

37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why?

I did the stats on this once, too, haha. Pretty sure I came out fairly even on first and third person with a smattering of second person in there. I’m probably even-ish on present vs past tense, too. I make it a point to mix it up to avoid my writing getting stale or same-y. And sometimes a fic doesn’t really click for me until I try it in a different POV or tense or from a different character’s perspective.

38. Do you use established canon characters or do you create OCs?

I mostly write for canon characters - the fun is in all the different ways you can interpret and imagine them - but I’ve been known to throw in the odd OC, or focus on a character who only got a brief cameo appearance, or write about someone who only appears in beta canon, or who only rates a mention on screen.

39. What is your greatest strength as a writer?

Oh, wow. I’m not sure. I guess the thing I value most about my own writing is my willingness to try different styles, characters, pairings and so on. The thing I strive for most is characterisation that feels true, and I really love it when I get comments on that. Exploring a character in a way that rings true with a reader is the best thing ever.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

Overly long sentences and adverb abuse, haha. No, truthfully, there comes a point in most of my fics, particularly the longer ones, when I really just want to scrap it because in my heart I know it’s dreadful. Usually that passes once I slog through the ‘I don’t wanna’ stage because I’m a bloody-minded bitch, but sometimes fics do get left in the dust half-written. Honestly, though, they’re the ones that probably should stay there.

All of the authors above for various reasons, but also august because her writing is so spare and delicate and devastating, and runawaymetaphor because she writes the most delicious Janeway/Paris, and @seperis​ because I read In the Space of Seven Days literally 20 years ago and I still haven’t recovered, and I could be here all night raving on this topic but there are still many questions to get through.

44. What ship do you feel needs more attention?

Janeway x Paris. I’m so happy there’s been a little bit of a resurgence in J/P fics lately. Thanks, @curator-on-ao3​, you’re doing the lord’s work.

Oh, that’s hard. I should probably pick an angsty smutty J/C because that’s a fair proportion of what I write and it’s good to let a new reader know what they can expect. But honestly, I think the best fic I’ve written is The Uncharted Sea. (It’s safe for work. Maybe not for makeup.)

47. Archive Of Our Own, Fanfiction.net or Tumblr - where do you prefer to post and why?

The Archive, of course. Where else can I find ad-free hosting on a stunningly user-friendly interface with absolutely no moralising content restrictions and the world’s best tagging system? That Hugo award is well deserved.

Tumblr is good for headcanons and meta and gifsets and a few other formats that I’m less likely to post on AO3 because I’d feel like I was pissing off people who subscribe to me by giving them some random garbage.

I also have my own website, but I’m not really sure why. Sometimes I post fic there that doesn’t make it to tumblr or AO3.

48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?

I try to. Honestly I do. I love it when I get reviews, so I figure paying it forward is the least I can do. I’m less scrupulous about leaving comments when I’m busy or reading on my phone.

I mean, I love it when people reblog, but I certainly don’t expect it. @arcadia1995​ is amazing for reblogging stuff *blows kisses*

Nobody owes fanfic writers shit, but I feel like there’s a tacit agreement that if you like what you just read for free and you’re on a platform that makes it easy to do so, you leave a review or at least a kudos, because I’m not gonna lie, posting a fic you’ve worked super hard on and seeing it get very few kudos or comments is a bit deflating. I’m sure a lot of us have been there.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

During Voyager’s original run I was trawling the internet for Endgame spoilers (I don’t know why; I usually love surprises) and I guess I googled (or whatever the 2001 equivalent of googling was) something like “how does voyager get home” and somehow I stumbled across Revisionist History. At first I had no idea what I was reading - was this a lost story pitch that somehow got leaked? A professional novella commissioned by the showrunners?

Then I started following links and discovered yahoo groups and webrings and Trekiverse and fanfiction.net and all sorts of incredible things I’d never guessed at, including the now defunct ‘archipelago of angst’, a collection of Voyager writers who focused mainly on a darker Janeway than most of the other fic writers I was encountering, and I was hooked. So I wrote a few of my own pieces, and then I lost interest for 15 years. I’m still not sure how I got dragged back in.

Honestly, in what other way can I indulge my obsessions, hone my skills and talk about it endlessly with like-minded people? It’s... frustrating, cause you’d think by this point such popular social media sites/apps would have some way for preventing art thefts, but they got no report option that can be used for art unless I’m the copyright owner - does that apply to fanarts when the characters aren’t mine and I wasn’t authorized by the original author to make them? Probably not. So I can’t do anything for it, not even ask the reposter to be kind and take my art down, cause as I’ve already said I’m not on any of those platforms

Whether they’d like each other/get along would depends on at which point and in which way they’d meet, I guess! Middle school was a complicated period for both of them, so it really depends - a few examples of how it could go are

they meet cause they frequent the same middle school - that implies they meet during the first year, when Bakugou was still full on bully/cocky asshole. Kirishima probably wouldn’t like him much because of it, would try to fight him. Bakugou might find him annoying/get pissed at how he thinks himself good enough to fight him. Definitely wouldn’t get along at first, might change their minds as they get to know each other or just keep on having a shitty relationship forever. I find more beliavable the first, since they do have really compatible personalities, but Bakugou was really convinced of his position as above everyone else back then and Kirishima would have never let him act like he was better than him without putting up a fight, so maybe not. Might actually fuck up their relationship in highschool too, really

they frequent different middle school, but happen to see each other outside of school before the sludge incident - if they were to meet cause Kirishima got in the middle of Bakugou bullying Deku, not much would change from option one. But if they were to meet for unrelated reasons, they could get along - Kirishima might think Bakugou manly, Bakugou might appreciate Kirishima’s guts (as long as Kiri doesn’t try to fight him). At first the relationship would definitely be unbalanced, because Kirishima would have no way of proving to Bakugou he’s at his same level since he wouldn’t be, but with time this might change. I can see Kirishima throwing himself at random bullies and Bakugou sighing and sometimes waiting for Kirishima to get his ass beat so maybe he’ll learn while other times lazily strolling up till he’s standing next to Kirishima to scare the bullies away. Bakugou’s... Bakugouness might do something to Kirishima’s self-esteem and could have him have his breakdown sooner, but by that point Bakugou might like him enough to do something about it. Or not. He’s still a cocky and self-centered ass at this point, after all. Kirishima’s presence might help with his bullying habit. Or not. Again, still an egoistical and egocentrical fucker at that point. Worse comes to worst, their relationship starts becoming more equal after the sludge incident/kiri seeing gigantomachia

they frequent different middle schools, but meet outside of school after the sludge incident but before kiri sees gigantomachia - this is probably my favorite one as far as them meeting in middle school goes. Bakugou at this point is questioning if he’s actually as strong as he always assumed he was, starting to feel like he needs to prove his worth to the world and himself, while Kirishima is still convinced he’s plain and weak, too scared to actually voice his dreams, but still tries to do his best and help those in need in front of him. If they were to meet at this point, Bakugou might actually find something to admire in Kirishima, find strength in him even - with the down-to-earth optimism and practical positivity, aware of reality but working to fix what he can, not letting circumstances and defeats bring him down. It might help Bakugou put into perspective the sludge incident, instead of just dwelling on it till it became a bomb ready to explode. Kiri would find Bakugou manly and cool, just like in canon, and they’d be able to build a relationship on equal grounds - Kirishima might even open up to him about how he wishes to try for UA, but he’s nearly sure he’s gonna fail. Bakugou might tell him that as he is right now he’s gonna fail for sure. He might also tell him that a quirk is like a muscle, and muscles get stronger if you train them, so just fucking stop wasting time and train yourself till your quirk is worth something, for fuck sake. By the time the event of Kiri’s backstory roll around, Bakugou might actually be there to hold Kirishima up and not let him go through it by himself. I dunno about crushes, but I do love this scenario and the relationship they’d end up having because of it

they frequent different schools, meet after Kirishima’s meeting with gigantomachia - there wouldn’t be many differences compared to the canon version of their meeting, I think. Bakugou might be a little more subdued, maybe, but generally it’d be the same.

these are just real general cathegories, depending on how the meeting unfolds anything might happen so really, who knows - there’s too many possibilities to be sure of anything, really haha

Yah I think so. Like, not all nicknames, like “honey” probably never or “sweetheart” highly umprobable, but babe or gorgeous/handsome/beautiful or love, I can see him using those! Mostly cause Mitsuki’s personality was obviously based on Bakugou and she calls Masaru “dear”, so I think Bakugou does have the... predisposition for it, let’s say it like that haha he might more whisper them/keep them private, but I do think he’d use them~

Best/worst last line?

Best:  “The warmth in her chest had nothing to do with the jacket.”  But I feel like “And the Ambassador certainly won’t notice they’re missing - at least not while he’s passed out underneath the canape table.” should come in second here.

Worst: So 4/6 fics end with some version of ‘he/she said ‘Okay’.’  Worst line goes to “C’mon then. Let’s go on a date!” which was written in purely to avoid him saying ‘Okay’.

General questions:

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted? Well, I intended to do 6 for Kataang Week and I did …only 1… but 5 others. So hmm.  I definitely wasn’t expecting to write for anything else, I haven’t written fic for fun in about 15 years so it was a nice change!!!  Big thanks to Morie @octaviainthewasteland for getting me back into this.

(See? Choices gets no love!) Story most underappreciated by the universe? Choices! I dunno why, I really like the atmosphere of it. It draws me in every time I read it. Story that could have been better? Smile, definitely. That was the first thing I wrote this year after a year of writing nothing (I participated a bit in Kataang Week last year just because there needs to be more people in it) and you can definitely tell my writing needed polishing.

Quiet Shimmers in the Snow annoys me, tbh. When I sat down to write it I thought ‘fuck logic, let’s just have fun and be happy’ and created this big romantic world but the thought that ‘there isn’t really a story here to tell’ always niggles at me. It’s probably what makes it so hard to write. Sexiest story? Snippets. Though there’s really not enough sex considering it was meant to be NSFW practice. Saddest story? I don’t really do sad. Choices, maybe? Most fun? Shimmers.  It’s a first date with alien ice skating, fairies and Christmas markets. C’mon. Story with single sweetest moment? Smile

“That means the pretty girl must be looking at him again.

He looks around, a grin already forming on his lips, expecting her to jump and duck her head like she always does. But this time bright blue eyes meet his gaze head-on and he feels the breath leave his lungs in a sudden woosh. Her hair tumbles over her shoulders and a deep red blush spreads over her dark complexion. How did he ever look away from her before?

He feels light-headed. The pretty girl isn’t pretty. She’s beautiful.

She lifts a hand and waves, a small smile spreading shyly across her lips. He smiles back, warmth filling his chest, and then the lecturer calls for everyone to pay attention and the moment is gone.”

Writing about The Sweeties means sweetness is always coming. I love it.

 Hardest story to write? Both Smile and the Shallura drabble, I think. I was doing both more out of obligation than a real inspiration to write (unfortunately I only seem to obsess about one thing at a time). Quiet Shimmers in the Snow has been giving me a heap of trouble past the first chapter, too (really it was meant to be a one-shot, but Misty insisted that I needed to have them actually ice-skate so I thought I’d shoe-horn a few other tumblr prompts into it).

What I’m getting from this question is that anything I’m not writing specifically and solely because I want to write it is hard to write.

Easiest/most fun story to write? The Good Type of Snitch. That was a hell of a lot of fun.

Did any stories shift your perceptions of the characters? Nah, none of my writing’s that deep, fam.  It’s all fluff and funsies.

Most overdue story? Uh, probably Quiet Shimmers in the Snow since it’s made up of tumblr prompts from like… 3 months ago??

Smile is also part 1 of 5? 6?.  Part 2 is sitting finished, Part 3 is like half-way done. Kataang Week was back in July!  ( @chel-burr do you still wanna tackle the rest of them?)

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? Starting writing again, just in general! Snitch was a huge risk because it was my first foray into writing again and also written as a birthday surprise for someone who’s writing I admire immensely ( @octaviainthewasteland , looking at you here!). I was actually a little nervous about that because Morie’s stuff is always so well-thought-out with expansive settings and twists and emotions and mine is like...fluff with two people talking.  I suppose I learnt that I enjoy writing, people enjoy reading my rubbish, and that people always enjoy surprise birthday fics?

Snippets is another big risk – it wasn’t planned when I started, and I just kind of randomly decided that I needed to learn to write NSFW so…there we go. The plot came after the first chapter. I learnt that emotional context is what really makes a smut scene go, that people really like NSFW stuff and interact with it more (this is the only one of my fics that people interact with me on tumblr about), that I actually need to learn to write group dialogue, and that I really can’t stick to angst to save my fucking life because despite my careful planning my head keeps going YOU CAN MAKE THEM HAPPY NOW JUST DO THIS!!!! (I’m writing fanfictions of my own damn fanfiction in my mind because I want to them to just smile already jfc)

What are your fic writing goals for next year? So I’m in the Plance Zine and the Tiny Adventures Zine, the Pidge Big Bang and the Voltron Kink Bang …. So to complete all of those on time!!

I also want to work through that list of prompts from months ago, and my piece for the Voltron Kink Bang is going to be the first part to a gigantic soap opera epic that I’ve had planned in my head for months and never intended to write – I want to have at least half of that written and posted by December 2018. And hopefully that goal will stop me from chickening out of the Voltron Kink Bang because there’s still a part of me that wants to accidentally miss the check-in.

And, for funsies, I wanna have two completely new fics that aren’t planned at all right now done and dusted in these 12 months.  What will they be? Who knows! Finding out is half the fun!

bnha, mature, ~4k words, bakushima, fire mage!bakugou, dragon!kirishima, some healthy dose ust with a side of dragon kink because hell fucking yeah, except nothing meaningful is happening, check out this rad fanart by @syblatortue that basically inspired the whole thing

Kirishima often mentioned that being stuck within the city walls for too long was making him antsy. He loved open spaces and flying in his dragon form, but even despite that people of the city got used to having a dragon in the Heroes Guild by now, nobody was going to cancel the prohibit just for him. Giant monsters capable of breathing fire and wreaking havoc tended to unnerve the citizens when they roamed they sky above their houses.

Hence, he asked for a couple of days off in the Guild and planned a short trip out of the city walls to a relatively secluded area that Tetsutetsu told him about. It was close enough to walk on foot, but still away from the city and farmlands (because unnerving farmers with dragons in the sky wasn't nice either). A day out in the wild could do wonders to Kirishima's spirits.

Now the only question about this whole endeavor that Bakugou couldn't solve was: what the hell was he doing there with Kirishima?

Bakugou watched his guildmate making barrel rolls in the air, only noises from insects breaking through the solemn sunny afternoon. The quietness was standing out, making Bakugou listen in, and he thought that perhaps a break from the city chatter was a good practice once in a while for him as well.

It would've been more logical for him to reject Kirishima's invitation to his trip into wilderness (as much of the wilderness they could find this close to the city anyway). Honestly, why did he have to ask Bakugou? Bakugou thought he left the right impression on everyone in the guild about his intentions, which never included getting friendly with his guild and socializing outside his tasks and studies. And yet, it wasn't enough for a certain horned idiot to take a hint and leave him alone.

But actually, Bakugou didn't really try very hard to get rid of Kirishima's company whenever the dragon changeling reached out for him. He wasn't irritating to be around, which was a rarity by itself. And there was something almost flattering how a freaking dragon, hardy and strong, dangerous and fiery, consistently sought Bakugou and openly admired his might.

The said dragon in the sky made a stunning nosedive and apparently landed, obscured by trees of a small grove nearby. Bakugou remembered experiencing this very maneuver on his own skin, sitting on Kirishima's neck and trying to hold onto his horns as the wind threatened to blast him off, and felt the thrill of danger from the memory.

Bakugou valued everything that could make him feel such danger and urged to test himself against that power. Kirishima was the exact embodiment of that.

He still couldn't quite connect how that led him to being stuck out of the city walls, watching his dragon guildmate roam the sky. There was nothing even remotely thrilling about sitting on a rock under a tree guarding Kirishima's clothes while he was in his dragon form.

Or, well, almost nothing.

Stomping inappropriate thoughts out, Bakugou looked around for the hundredth time, trying to find anything to busy himself with, lack of it being more prominent when Kirishima wasn't within his area of vision. He didn't even take a book with him. Practicing his spells could entertain him for a bit, but it wasn't a really good idea to start fires in dry weather like it was now. On top of that, if someone happened to see a dragon and smokes nearby, chances that the fires were going to be blamed on Kirishima were high. Bakugou was forced to learn the value of reputation and crap like that recently.

After a while, Bakugou was finally bored enough to consider the idea of asking Kirishima to give him a ride if he was doing flight maneuvers.

He wondered why he didn't see Kirishima in the sky all that time after his nosedive.

It took him a little less time to come to conclusion that he needed to search for his guildmate. He was bored out of his mind, and since Kirishima dragged him there to entertain himself, he could also deal with Bakugou's entertainment.

He got up, dragging the bag with Kirishima's clothes, and headed to the grove. It was thin, young birch undergrowth not blocking out the sunlight well enough, and Bakugou was pretty confident it wasn't going to hide a whole dragon in it. He tried to follow the general direction where he saw Kirishima disappearing behind the trees, and soon the birch rows parted, showing a wide green meadow, lit in the sun.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

In the middle of the clearing, Kirishima was rolling in the grass. Bakugou was a little stunned. A dragon rubbing his neck and belly on grass like it was some sort of catnip for giant lizards (dragonnip?) was possibly the last thing he expected to see here.

Kirishima ignored him, clawing on the dirt with low guttural growl that didn't sound quite right.

Bakugou wondered if he should start expecting trouble.

"What the fuck are you, a cat?"

Again, no answer from Kirishima.

Watchful of distance between them and making sure he was in the area of Kirishima's vision – if he was seeing anything at all in the moment, Bakugou stepped onto the meadow. Was it something in the grass? He thought that the air was kind of funny, something besides the smell of freshly cut grass and dirt.

"Watch out, dude! Don't you see a frickin' dragon here?"

"And who the fuck are you?"

Across the clearing, a figure came out of the trees. The owner of nondescript voice hid his face in the hood, posture tense as if he was ready to jump away - or into a fight - any moment.

"Just a concerned citizen. It's not safe here for you, don't you see?"

That wasn't good. Bakugou's very appearance tended to intimidate regular people, and more knowledgeable ones who were able to read the tattoos he wore and showed proudly. Bakugou didn't have a clue who the hell that guy was or what was his deal, but he knew already that he was a goddamn liar.

He stepped closer to Kirishima. The latter quieted down, heavy breaths coming from him, as if he was exhausted by something.

"And the dragon?" He asked the guy in the hood.

"The dragon? Oh, don't worry, we'll take care of the beast."

The tension was prominent in the guy's voice as well. Bakugou noticed that "we".

"Like fuck you are," Bakugou growled, feeling rage whipping him up, ready to ignite and burn the bastard before him. He didn’t like the way the hooded person referred to Kirishima in the slightest.

"Come on, don't make this messy," the guy said. "The beast is ours. You didn't track it down or anything."

Oh, great. How the hell did a pack of dragon hunters end up here? Bakugou never encountered such kind of... poachers, but he heard of them before. Now he had a chance to re-evaluate his opinion on them. He decided that he hated this guy's guts.

"That's right, you walking asshole conglomerate, I didn't track him down because he's my fucking friend and I fucking came here with him," he said. He finally approached Kirishima. Heat was radiating from his scales, and he seemed unconscious. "I'm giving you one chance to walk away now."

The guy in the hood cocked his head and took out a dagger - short, mean-looking, and imbued with some sort of magic.

"Nah. Too much money at stake for your pet. Nothing personal."

Bakugou noticed several shadows in the trees - the guy's associates. It was good they showed up.

He thought briefly if drawing more information from them was worth the effort. The poachers tracked down Kirishima from the city, that was pretty much obvious. Why they decided to go after the member of the Heroes Guild, Bakugou had no idea and preemptively decided that they were just that stupid. He couldn't postpone his furious urge to do something about those people no more, not when they had means to render Kirishima so vulnerable, not when they had this annoying attitude towards his friend.

"Oh no, it's going to be pretty fucking personal," he said when he could see the group of hunters clearly. He sensed another mage among them, but it wasn't going to be an issue.

In cold rage, he chose the spell and effortlessly performed it, one of the meanest, least forward moves he had on himself, imbuing the whole group with combustible magic. Openly, he raised his arms, igniting sparkles on his palms.

"You fuckers now are," Bakugou smiled wickedly, "the walking bombs. One sparkle, and you're going to explode in one bloody, fiery mess." Fires started dancing on his fingers.

"To me, everyone, now!" One of the hunters - the one who Bakugou identified as their mage - yelled.

The group obeyed immediately, surrounding the mage. Bakugou judged that she recognized the threat, and acted immediately and precisely, activating teleportation spell and disappearing.

Bakugou's blast hit nothing, and he wailed in frustration.

"Come back here, you bastards!"

The meadow responded with silence, interrupted by Kirishima's growls that resembled whines way, way more than his usual bold, lively roars. Bakugou forced himself to switch his focus from his fight. If the hunters weren't smart enough, they'd be dead soon anyway, he thought with vindication.

"For fuck's sake!" He kicked the dirt, disappointed, but immediately turned his attention to Kirishima. "Hey, are you gonna lie here all the fucking day?"

Kirishima didn’t respond to him, nothing new here. Bakugou noticed a small, pretty tattered sheaf of dried grass beside him. He picked it up and mentally scrolled through the herbariums he studied before, recognizing the plant.

Dragon's bane.

No wonder Kirishima was nearly passed out.

He looked around, piecing together the trap that was set for his guildmate. The place was littered with sheaves of dragon's bane, with occasional additional herbs that Bakugou recognized at least, but had no idea how they affected dragons. The question of how the poachers decided that this particular clearing was going to be definitely visited by a dragon answered itself when he stumbled upon an obsidian artifact that was radiating attraction even to him, probably tuned more finely to affect dragons more strongly. He melted it with his bare hands, deep satisfaction from crushing hostile magic flaring up in him.

Careful not to burn dragon's bane, he picked up every sheaf he could find on the ground that looked like a dragon rolled on it, swearing at this stupid task before him, and carried them away from Kirishima. He hoped that was enough to get Kirishima on his feet at least to get him away from the place.

When he turned back, first thing he noticed was Kirishima's crimson eyes, touched with glassy shine as if he was drunk. Long scales on his neck stood up as he noticed Bakugou, and he tensed.

"It's me," Bakugou said evenly, approaching him. He wasn't that concerned about getting close to the dragon, partially because he was sure that he could handle whatever any dragon could throw at him, partially because he had deep, unshakable faith that Kirishima wasn't going to turn on him because he was... well, Kirishima.

"Can you get up? I think there's still dragon's bane under you, so move your ass."

Kirishima did the opposite for some reason, long body covered in armored scales growing slack, and he sort of... flattened on the ground more. He let out a long, tired sigh with a tiny trace of smoke in it.

Bakugou watched it with mixed emotions.

He loathed weaknesses wherever he saw them, and by proxy, he had no sympathy for people who showed them. And still, he couldn't find the familiar feeling right now as he saw Kirishima trying to crawl closer to him on his belly, helping himself with clawed wings, weakened and vulnerable. Asking for help.

Trusting Bakugou to help him.

That was the strangest thing Bakugou encountered this day, in a way.

"Come on," he stepped closer and reached out to Kirishima. "You need to get the fuck away from this place. Transform or something already. I can't carry you." Even though Kirsihima wasn't huge like some dragons, something he blamed on having wyverns in his bloodline, there was no obvious way for Bakugou to move him by himself.

It seemed Kirishima was still unable to speak, but he made an effort, getting up just enough to headbutt Bakugou, pressing horned crest against his abdomen. Bakugou sighed in frustration.

"I'll drag you by your horns if I have to, but you're gonna fucking owe me for that."

Kirishima ignored him, nuzzling him, his horns thankfully blunt enough to not break Bakugou's skin. Then he raised his head and licked Bakugou's stomach, all the way up to his chest.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Bakugou said hoarsely, suddenly losing his voice for a moment.

Kirishima licked him again, his forked tongue burning with inner heat, possibly capable of igniting flames if he rubbed it against the fire mage hard enough. Bakugou acutely regretted that his everyday outfit usually didn't include a shirt.

Bakugou stepped back, too stunned to swear, unable to properly process the image of Kirishima following immediately, flicking his tongue to keep licking him with what could count as concentrated expression on dragon's face. He took another step away, and Kirishima followed him again.

"You're so gonna owe me for this, you asshole," Bakugou growled at him, but it sounded weak, way too weak and lacking rage that should have been appropriate for the moment, because his brain was doing tricks with him, playing images where he let Kirishima just keep licking his belly and maybe more.

Trying to keep his thoughts straight, he started slowly walking backwards, kiting Kirishima who seemed to be bent on continuing his indecent behavior.

As long as it worked, he thought, gritting his teeth and trying his best to ignore the ridiculousness of the situation. He could attribute Kirishima's weird urge to give him tongue bath to side effects of the dragon's bane or some other herb the hunters scattered around, but there wasn't any magical or herbal excuse for Bakugou himself or how he felt blood rushing to the lower part of his body.

Slow and careful, they reached the edge of the clearing in this strange manner: the mage walking away and the dragon following him and continuing to nuzzle and lick his belly. Bakugou was cautious of making any sudden moves, imagining that Kirishima wouldn't hesitate to tackle him on the ground, and the mere thought of it made his knees grow weaker for some reason.

"Come on, Kirishima, transform already," he grunted, chasing the image away.

The burning touch disappeared. Kirishima pressed his forehead to him again, and Bakugou heard a pained noise from his guildmate. With a visible struggle, the dragon started changing his form. Soon, a much smaller, more human and completely naked version of Kirishima appeared by Bakugou's feet.

Bakugou sat down on his knees to take a better look at him, and also to get rid of the awkward position where Kirishima was still pressing his face to his bare skin, something that Bakugou categorized as highly distracting and counterproductive in their current situation.

"Can you walk?" He asked, holding Kirishima by his shoulders.

Kirishima shook his head weakly.

"Water," he said hoarsely. "To wash it away," he whined. "Hurts."

Bakugou saw it himself: under the dirt Kirishima was covered in, rash from the dragon's bane burns was spotting his skin. He still looked very weak.

"All Might Almighty. Fucking hell," Bakugou swore. The water they had on themselves for the trip probably wasn't enough. In fact, Bakugou wasn't sure that just water was going to help, but that was at least something. He recalled the map of the area he looked at just this morning. There should be a creek not far away, if the map was correct.

And apparently he was going to carry his idiot guildmate there because of course. What else was there for him to do?

"You're so going to owe me for this," he grumbled and reached for the bag, getting out Kirishima's pants. For a brief moment, Bakugou thought about what would've happened if he didn't go with Kirishima today. He shoved the image in the very far corner of his mind, swearing to never think of it again.

"Sorry," Kirishima slurred, letting Bakugou move him around to put pants on him, whining in pain when his burns were bothered.

Unfortunately for Bakugou, while he wrestled with Kirishima's limbs, he happened to notice the raging boner Kirishima was having. He explained to himself: side effects. Blame the wyverns in Kirishima's family for weird reactions to dragon's bane. How else could he get aroused while passing out and having burns from the plant that was literally the ultimate poison for his kind?

Swearing to distract himself and just for the sake of it, Bakugou eventually put pants on Kirishima, and then successfully got him on his back.

"Now the dragon rides the mage," Kirishima giggled in his ear stupidly.

"Shut the fuck up," Bakugou told him and started walking.

As he walked through the grove, searching for the creek, he thought that he was going to need a quick bath, too. Dragon drool on his front dried up and started feeling gross, and his back and his cape definitely got the dirt from Kirishima pressing to him, so it was double gross.

He tried to concentrate on not getting lost and feeling gross as he listened to Kirishima's growly whines he kept making. It helped, a little, while the heat radiating from Kirishima's body and the scales on his cheek scrapping against Bakugou's shoulder didn't help, at all.

When Bakugou finally heard the sound of the stream and then saw it, he suppressed the urge to throw Kirishima into it. Instead, he put him down on the ground and looked at him with a silent question, because he sure wasn't going to ask out loud if he needed help with bath.

Kirishima didn't seem to notice that at all, thankfully, ungracefully kicking his pants off again and changing form. Clumsily, he strode towards the creek and, once he was in it, promptly fell on his belly, letting the water wash over the scaled body.

Bakugou watched how Kirishima moved to the deeper part, submerging completely, the water above the dragon emitting steam and eventually starting to boil. After a while, Kirishima's head shown above the water surface, and he roared, rising his wings and splashing the water everywhere. Bakugou felt a shiver run down his body at that sight.

So apparently washing off dragon's bane with water did help. Compared to how he was on back at the trap, he seemed infinitely livelier.

Bakugou kicked off his boots and stepped into the stream, keeping distance between himself and Kirishima. He used his own cape to wash the dirt and drool off himself, not wishing to dive into the water.

He didn't get out of the water until Kirishima was finished with his splashing and was by the riverside, back in his human form and fully dressed.

Kirishima sat on the rock, waiting for Bakugou to get out, put on the boots back and curse about his ruined cape in appropriate amount and manner, and then asked:

"What exactly happened?"

Bakugou frowned, looking at him dubiously.

"I mean," Kirishima hung his shoulders, "one moment everything was great, then... something made me land, and after that it was just painful and confusing and, uh," he trailed off and shut up, trying not to look at Bakugou.

It hit Bakugou that Kirishima didn't have any idea he was hunted, and again the nagging thought about what could have happened if his guildmate was out there alone knocked into Bakugou's mind.

"Dragon hunters," Bakugou said. "They planted the attraction artifact and threw around dried dragon's bane. I found you rolling in it like an idiot."

Kirishima's eyes widened, and he looked down on the red burns still covering his skin.

"Dragon's bane?" He paled visibly. "I almost died," he whispered, and there was clear fear in his expression.

Bakugou felt the murderous intent to find those hunters again and make sure they exploded before his eyes.

"You might wanna check those out then," he said instead, nodding at the burns.

"Uh, I should be okay unless I ingest some or inhale the smoke from the burned dragon's bane," Kirishima responded, clearly reciting some memo that was probably drilled into him since very young age. "I was rolling in it?" He cringed. "And what happened to- to hunters?"

"Probably dead. Turned them into fucking walking bombs, but their mage 'ported them before I could make sure they're dead," Bakugou uttered through teeth.

"Walking bombs? Oh my god, but that's so mean," Kirisima sounded almost concerned for them, which was utterly incomprehensible and just stupid in Bakugou's opinion.

"And baiting a dragon into dragon's bane field isn't mean?" He asked him, incredulous. "You should be asking why the fuck they went for the Heroes Guild member, above all."

To Bakugou's surprise, Kirishima just shrugged at that.

"Prejudice, probably," he said. "I know I'm in the Guild, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't want a dragon being a hero badly enough to call the- the dragon hunters," he said simply. Bakugou noticed he was swallowing some other word he had for the hunters, possibly some special term, used among other dragons.

The simple acceptance with which Kirishima spoke about someone potentially hating him for what he was strongly enough to want him dead was infuriating.

"We're going to fucking find the ones responsible for this shit," Bakugou growled at him.

Kirishima shrugged again, but then suddenly got up from the rock, looking worried.

"I should warn Tetsutetsu," he said urgently, and that was another thing that made Bakugou burn in fury, and maybe die a little on the inside. Just now he spoke casually about someone almost killing him, but when his friends were in danger, that was no joke. "And we're going to find the ones responsible for this," he echoed Bakugou's words, finally looking at him.

Bakugou stared at this idiot, trying to comprehend him in all his idiocy, with those horns and messy red hair, patches of scales on his skin and those radiant red eyes, and he couldn't. But he sure as hell wasn't going to stop trying.

"Ugh, this is gonna be a slow way back," Kirishima complained and started walking. "Come on, the sun will be setting soon”.

Out of other options, Bakugou followed.

After a short period of silence, Kirishima said quietly:

"Bakugou? I apologize for, uh-" he cut himself off.

Bakugou looked at him and saw Kirishima's face red, almost the same shade as his hair. He pointedly avoided looking Bakugou in the eyes, biting his lower lip nervously.

"I apologize for how I behaved there. I mean, I had no idea what was happening, but that was very inappropriate, and I apologize," he said, his blush somehow growing even brighter than before.

Bakugou remembered the feeling of the dragon's tongue on his skin, and this time he knew the cause for his shivering. Kirishima just called it inappropriate. Bakugou wasn't inclined to argue with him on that point.

Not trusting any word in his vocab in this moment, Bakugou nodded tensely in acknowledgment and turned away, catching how Kirishima sighed in relief. It felt strangely bitter.

The rest of the walk was silent.

Swapfell Stuff - Topic “Swapfell/Fellswap” Movement - My opinion - My stuff

This is going to be a long ass post. Like really.

If you don’t bother about this movement, it’s ok. Scroll down, ignore this.

For everyone else who wants to know my opinion and statement.

I hope I don’t offend anyone. And this doesn’t got against the ones who set up the Swapfell/Fellswap Movement and their attempt on bringing back the original design.

I maybe sound somewhat pissy, my grammar is shit but I honestly don’t care.

I want to get this off my soul, so I can continue working on my beloved shit: Swapfell.

Here we go.

So.... this there is this movement around "Swapfell" and "Fellswap" going on and since I already had disputes and discussions with some of my followers, I decided to put my statement here for once and for all.

I kind of feel that I must state something about this matter, since my blog is all about Swapfell right now and this probably won't change in a long while.

As you should've noticed by now, my Swapfell design was somewhat different from the start and is now entirely different from the "popular" version that - thanks to this movement- is called Fellswap now. Since I chose Eli's design, it probably reminds of Fellswap, but it is not. That's why I am actually super annoyed by this distinction. At first I thought it's a good idea, but now I think it's kind of unnecessary to part this into two halves. It's probably causing confusion, worry and a war between fanatics and ppl with their own idea. Also... a personal reason: My fucking design is both in some way and it is still SWAPFELL.

When I joined this beautiful fandom I didn't like Swapfell at all. (Like Underswap and also Underfell, yes. I was very sceptic and annoyed by AUs first) Swapfell was just about kinky shit, "master and slave" with no character but smut issues. Underfell was the same shit, but with much more abuse, rape and some Red-fucktoy. This impression still haunts me and disturbs my image of him. Underswap issues... I've explained them to you. It was mostly that childish Blue that didn't resemble UT!Papyrus at all.

However, I've seen quite some great fanarts that got me hooked. Especially after meeting Eli's design, comics and pictures I got really, really interested in them. (It's probably thanks to them that I am Swapfell Trash rn) I wanted to know more about them, understand why they were the way they were. I really had no desire to follow the mainstream route. Why? Because I rarely do. I've avoided Undertale for a good reason when it was hyped like devil's shit.

So... on my long way of reasoning that weird behaviour (like wtf... I didn't understand why a Papyrus was this subby, weak and all "I'm so sorry!" for no reason) I had started to develop my own theories until I stumbled over "Flipping the Script" by @Angelia-Dark. The Swapfell Script is a masterpiece, trust me on this. She's a very talented writer that thinks complex, deep and has a choice of words that can make your heart break by her will. I've come to love the Swapfell Bro's finally understanding how they are supposed to work. At least for me. And I love complex, deep and especially dark shit. Even if it wouldn't have been fontcest, I would've read it. It explains a lot of shit.

So falling in love with Swapfell, I've created my own story and explanation for it. No matter how much I love Angelia's interpretation, it didn't satisfy my thirst and need for this one special AU. I wanted another Swapfell Pap, I wanted another Swapfell Sans. Basing on the origin on Swap but starting in Fell, so I can show the world how Swap turns Fell. It is, no matter how it looks like: SWAPfell.

I'll explain you why. So no one will have the fucking idea to call this Fellswap for design reasons.

Let's start with Pup. He's obviously not that guy you've seen most of the time in the fandom. My interpretation of him is a lot different and it has another reasoning which I show in SWAPFELL DAWN. It's most likely a spin-off AU... it's MY story, MY idea for them and MY interpretation of the original idea of the "name Swapfell". I didn't know the original creator (I didn't see the designs and concepts at all) at that point and I wonder, why that design was abandoned. (I'll talk  about this matter later). So yeah... I liked the design I saw by Eli and some other artists, but I wanted to do my own thing... since Pup is so different, he had to look different and it should support his general idea.

Which is a complete, dark asshole version of Honey (SwapPap). In my AU I'm showing their origin, how they live and change. So yeah, this should explain alot. And yes, I am not very fond of that "Fellswap" Papyrus, since he's too subby and boring for me. There's a lot of cute fanart, that I like very much. I'm Swapfell trash, so I cannot resist it. Still... I prefer my Pup over them.

Now Black:

This Swapfell Sans is MOST LIKELY Blue as a darker version and some different character. He has been Blue at some point in my AU. They are alike, their eyes are alike and they even behave alike.

They've been the fucking same person. It's just that Black's the fallen, dark version who survived tons of shit to stand where he is right now. I don't have to say all that much about it. I've just uploaded my colorscheme and design for my Swapfell-Bros... take a look at it, I've explained some other things about it.

As you can see... they were Swaps before, but they have this "Fell touch" on them. Especially with their lookings. It's somehow mixed. Swapfell and Fellswap were for me one thing and probably will remain one thing for me. Everyone can see it as they want. The swapfell concept is for me simply this: two Au's got mixed. It doesn't matter all that much how  and when. At first I thought it might be a good idea to distinct it, but now I think it's a hassle and probably will cause war and worry. My version looks like both and it is both.

Black is alike to Fell, but he was Blue. Pup was Honey, but now he has some Red AND Edge vibes. I don't fucking care, if someone wants to argue with me. When I joined this fandom, I basically didn't see all that much about Swapfell (more or less "Fellswap" like this movement wanna tell me) so I kind of focused on them after reading Angelia's fic. I've worked hard on them and wanted to create another impression on them and so far I've been successful.

But then... suddenly... Swapfell shot out of the ground like mushrooms and I was positively surprised how much it's loved.

And

I'm kind of annoyed that NOW everyone focuses on it, like it's been all popular and shit. 'cause I felt like it wasn't and I got told ALOT that it wasn't all that popular. Some of my followers even told me that they see me "as the creator" of it, because I give them life and a story. I'm not the creator, but I still felt honored that they started to like Swapfell. 

So... back to the point: suddenly everyone focuses on it and dig up the very first concept of it. You've probably seen it flying around... it's been there from the start and it was FORGOTTEN. Which is honestly shit, since someone worked with it quite some time. And It's always a sign of respect to state that it was there.

However. This doesn't mean that I MUST like it. I don't have to do shit. I've seen it, but I didn't feel attached to it nor did I feel like I had to mess with it. It's the creators thing, I won't touch it. Especially because the blog got deleted and who the hell knows if the creator even wants this. (Not to mention that I probably would delete all of my stuff, if it was a concept, so no one toys around with my ideas and rather does something new from this point on)

I'm seeing this from different perspectives. Like... I have also no idea how the original Underswap is supposed to look like. How they actually should behave... the same for Underfell. The fontcest part of the fandom changed tons of things. TONS. And it got also out of hand. How different both AU's would be without the R18 part. The same for Swapfell.

Also, I really have no idea, if the original creator even bothers with it. If they want to be mentioned or if they deleted their blog so no one would use their work and do shit with it. People wouldn't care in any way, I know that. I've seen it alot with Flowerfell. And this probably happens to the most AU's. I think it's good to show the concept, but I wouldn't force anyone to adapt it. I don't like it and I honestly don't want to mess with it. I've got my own idea that I'm working on. In addition to the concept and idea part.... I know this creator left the fandom for a long while now... the fandom matures and gets more and more AU's... why would you try to name something different now just because there seem to be two ideas? Looking at the name's alone there a tons of possibilities to interprete it.

So please don't restrict the freedom and fantasy of one's mind. Some people approached me all scared that their stuff will be now labeled in the wrong way or get hated for not following the mainstream mass. This is not even a joke, I really had discussions like that.

Feel free to do whatever you want, but respect other's opinions please. It's no fucking reason to start a war for this.

So... there is this other version of Swapfell Papyrus that I met a while ago already:

The first time I saw it, I didn't come to like it. I don't even start with Swapfell Sans. I mean.. hey... if you like it, draw it. I don't. I don't want to. And I don't feel like I have to follow anyone but myself. I looked at the concept and drawings alot, but feeling nothing, I ignored them. As I said, I don't even know if Kkoppang wants us to mess with that thing. Like Au it got out of hand, even forgotten to some degree and there as tons more reasons why I could argue now. Why am I saying this? Because I feel like this movement could be understood wrong. Or maybe I understood it wrong and get all offended suddenly. You see, I think it's a fantastic idea to tell the people "Hey, this is the original Swapfell. Try to look at it and play with the idea!". It would be nice to see some fanart to this, it would also be a sign of respect and maybe this (STRANGELY) forgotten design comes to life again. But I truly hope there won't follow this "Only this is Swapfell and the rest is not", because this is bullshit. If my and some other ideas aren't considered Swapfell anymore then no one can claim their shit as "Underswap" or "Underfell" too, since it got abstracted from the original idea alot.

Even not looking at fontcest here that fucked up alot. And we're all sinners. I'm one of the big ones.

So, I don't know if I'm being disrespectful or not, I'm not doing that great seperation between Swapfell and Fellswap due to the reason, that it can be mixed and that everyone has their own means, ideas and beliefs like I do. I'd like to see more of the original art, but welp. I'm not doing it. I'll stick to the AU I'm working on and if this is not Swapfell, it's "Fallen Swapfell" (aka Swapfell Dawn). I am toying with dark content and shit. I'm making Swap fall. End of story.

So being an individual with my own opinion and being mostly anti-mainstream, I've decided to follow Zed into the wide, scary sea and look out for people who also share the opinion that it should be valued, if you have your own ideas and don't take part of the general hype. I'm not against it, I'm just not supporting it. And I wanted to point out a lot longer that my Swapfells are different from the rest. So I used this opportunity to make this clear.

I know this movement doesn't force anyone to do anything. I believe it's mostly to revive and honor the original design and creator... still.. it bugs me. You can’t just go there and say “THIS IS SWAPFELL AND THE REST IS NOT”, because this fucks up every other AU too, if you take it strictly. Especially with the gone creator.

But Ursik stated a important thing, so I want to name it once more for everyone: "[...] the most important thing for all fandoms: Diversity. Different people are freely to have different views/opinions aka different creations, and everyone’s work should never be limited by which is more “”popular””. "

That's why I stick to my shit.

And.

THIS is also Swapfell.

I'm quoting Zed here: "And I’m not gonna tell people who are into the fellswap swapfell distinction that they’re wrong either. I’m so happy they have another thing to get into. I’m happy the first design is getting more attention. There’s a lot about it that i do like. And that’s that."

I'm sharing the same opinion. I really, really like Zed's SwapfellPap concept, he's totally cool and he's unique. I've always been weak for unique stuff since it's something you'll remember even ages ago.

And I believe my version is also a special case. So yeah. Deal with it.

Also.... taking a look at my Swapfell version and Angelia's one... this is the perfect example of wonderful diversity in the fandom. One name: tons of stories. How different Swapfell is with Pup being the older brother and not Sans. Pup being most likely the dominant part in the relationship instead of the big brother Sans, who takes good care of Pup. We share a lot of ideas, we think alike and our Swapfell Bro's are damn alike. And yet they are so different that you would feel the difference if they stood next to each other. (Not only considering looks.)

So... never limit one's freedom on an idea and opinion. Every idea has been used somewhere before.

But...

I respect the person who started it. And if that person was still active in the fandom, I would respect their wishes and not work with their idea without their approval. That's why I won't allow anyone to write their part to the Swapfell Dawn universe except for "fan-fanart" and shit. 'cause that's nice as hell.

I actually mentioned it a few posts ago but it’s really just a blister - a pretty damn huge one, but still just a blister - it’s in a place where I apply pressure when holding a pen so drawing makes it sorta hurt, and to avoid breaking it I had kind of decided to wait it out and not draw until it’d healed?? But as it turns out it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna take as little time as I thought it would?? And not drawing was making me go out of my mind?? So I decided that I’m gonna draw anyway, but the position in which the blister forces my finger is a stupid one and the hold on the pen turns out a little awkward, so (for my own standards) the lines are turning out sloppier even though it’s taking thrice as long to trace them in an even only vaguely acceptable way

So!! This is what’s up! I’m sorry I made you all worry and thank you so much for the concern, but the only thing drawing anyway is gonna do is make me uncomfortable in the moment and maybe make healing a little more annoying, there’s no permanent damage anywhere in sight!
