Takes a deep breath. Ok so, I debated adding this fic. Not because I don't like it, but because I haven't actual read this in years, so I don't know how it stands up to the test of time.

I don't usually like adding fics that I can't certifiably recommend, but I also feel like if you haven't read this, you haven't Really experienced Undertale reader inserts. It's like. a classic.

I still remember vividly cringing from secondhand embarrassment SO many times while reading BUT I wouldn't trade in that experience for anything- I fucking loved this fic. It was wonderful and terrible and so incredibly fun, and honestly I kinda don't want to reread it so I can keep it in the shiny veneer of nostalgia forever.

Uhhhh, I don't actually have a good segue for this, but this one also has really complicated relationships. There is a happy ending! It's a fucking rollercoaster to get there though.

It's kinda in the same vein as The Party Incident for me, I consider it a classic, and it's also... very 2016/17. Take that how you will. I don't know if I'd recommend this fic, but I definitely think you should read it, if you know what I mean. I'm VERY fond of it despite my extremely conflicted emotions. It's definitely not for everyone though.

Oh, also it has the most fucked up form of skeleton reproduction ever <3 That's okay though, because it results in one of my favourite fankids ever. I'm love my boyyy Impact ;w;!!!!

Anyway I'm a little obsessed with this fic. There's a skeleton reader, who's a necromancer! The skeletons are thought to be gods, but actually they got isekai'd! It's a WILD RIDE and it's surprisingly good??? It feels like one of those webtoons or manga that you look at the cover/summary for and go *??????* at, but then you start reading it and go "OH, THIS IS REALLY FUN ACTUALLY."

There's pretty intense language barriers between the skeletons and the reader for a lot of the fic, but I love that sorta stuff, so that just makes it better for me lol. I adore the dynamics between the characters, they feel so diametrically opposed sometimes it's great.

Oh this one!!! Should probably actually go under misc but it's okay. This fic asks the question of: What if there was a MASSIVE multiversal mashup and some of the residents shared an apartment building where they now live completely normal domestic lives?

It's got /Reader stuff as well as a fun selection of Sanscest and platonic roommate content, and each chapter is semi-self contained and really fun.

Undertale Sans - He's doing it but he's so gentle you barely feel it. He doesn't want to hurt you and he's a bit uncomfortable. He really just did it because he loves you.

Undertale Papyrus - No???? This is a weird thing to ask people??? Bite yourself instead if you really need to, he certainly won't encourage this activity.

Underswap Sans - No hesitation, he chomps your hand without letting you have the time to finish your sentence. Uh. Was he that eager to bite you? That sounds suspicious.

Underswap Papyrus - He immediately changes the topic and acts like he didn't hear you. He doesn't want to bite you? Why would you even ask him that?

Underfell Sans - Only your hand? Damn, baby, you're missing out. He gives you a shark smile before chomping your hand, very excited. He won't stop staring at your butt while wiggling his eye sockets at you for the rest of the day though.

Underfell Papyrus - He is confused, but he does it if it makes you happy??? He's not sure what this was about, though, and he's agitated all day because his brain can't understand what happened. Normal people don't ask to be bitten???

Horrortale Sans - He straight says no, and he's a bit upset you asked him when you know it's something that can trigger him. Find other weird occupations, please.

Horrortale Papyrus - He does it to please you, but he's very uncomfortable and even a bit agitated afterward. He hated every second of it and he hated he felt pressured to do it when he perfectly knew having human skin in his mouth would make him sick. He prefers to stay alone for a few hours.

Swapfell Sans - He's not doing it before you explain why. It's not up to discussion. He doesn't like doing things when he doesn't know what they are for.

Swapfell Papyrus - Oh sure! He bites your hand, and then he bites your arm, and then he pins you down and suddenly bites your neck like a vampire. Sigh. You can't ask him anything, can you?

Fellswap Gold Sans - Ew, hell no. He's not putting your filthy human bacteria inside his mouth, he doesn't want to die. He keeps looking at you with a disgusted expression all day long, to the point you start feeling offended.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He takes your hand, then light kisses your hand, and then pets your hand. And... That's it. What? He's not going to hurt you, that's bad!

author's note: THIS IS SO FUKCING STUPID AND SELF INDULGENT and also admittedly not my best work. i banged this out in a few days because i needed to practice getting back into writing and wanted to make something short with rusty <3

“c'monnn,” Rusty poked at your cheek with a phalange, trying to get you to look up from your phone to acknowledge him. You just batted his hand away lightly.

“Noooo,” you replied, giggling, then, more sternly, “no, Rus, I already told you, even I'm not really supposed to touch them.” Rusty dramatically groaned in response and rolled off his messy bed onto his equally messy floor.

When sweet silence filled the room once more, you finally looked up from the screen in your hand with a sort of dry amusement.

“You done?” 

“sighhhh…i guess…” Papyrus relented, drawing circles into the fluffy carpet with his long finger bones mournfully. If a skeleton could stick out their bottom lip and pout, you were certain he'd be doing just that.

After a moment of peace, though, he was back at it again, placing a hand on your knee to try and keep your attention on him and off your screen for just a moment longer.

 “what if i just touch them a little bit?”

You exhaled hard through your nose, trying to cover up your laugh at your friend's antics.

The topic of discussion: your new lip piercings and how badly Rusty wanted to prod at them. Why he wanted to do so so badly, you couldn't begin to pretend to understand.

Probably just because he's been told he shouldn't.

“Why do you even want to touch them anyways?” you finally decided to ask, voice slightly exasperated, “my lips are still bruised up AND they're crusty. It's kind of nasty, man.”

Rusty shrugged in return, an impish grin spreading across his face.

…Who were you kidding, it was definitely because he'd been told he shouldn't.

Now, it wasn't that you were exactly against letting Rusty touch your piercings, you just knew in the logical parts of your brain that it probably wasn't a smart, advisable idea. Your piercer had drilled into your head that you were supposed to keep them clean, and part of that was probably not allowing any curious skeletons to touch them.

But the other part of your brain, the part that realllyyyy liked the thought of the monster in front of you fawning over your new jewelry, had other plans.

“...Okay.”

Rusty sat up straight and looked up at you from his place on the floor with a growing grin on his skull. He looked like he had just been told that he had won the lottery.

“...really?”

“Really.”

“...you sure??”

“I'm sure.”

Rusty let out an excited little whoop before tossing his gangly arms around your waist and burying his head in your stomach. 

“thank youuuuuuuuuuu!”

You patted the top of his skull gently, rolling your eyes good naturedly at his dramatics.

“Yeah, yeah. You're welcome, you weirdo.”

Rusty waggled his bonebrow at you as he maneuvered himself to re-take his place next to you on his bed.

“you love it!”

“I love you,” you corrected, making to flick the side of the skeleton’s head, only for his hand to reach up and catch yours before it could reach its destination.

“i love you too,” Rusty sing songed back, clutching your hand to his chest and pretending to swoon, “now sit still and let me finger you!”

You barked out a laugh, caught off guard by Papyrus' choice of words.

“Okay, okay!” you snorted, trying to recover from your initial surprise, turning more to fully face Rusty and crossing your legs on the bed in front of you. “Poke away! But please, be gentle!”

“i will, i will,” the skeleton assured while chuckling, reaching his hands up to cup your face. “...or will i?” You shot him a look that must have screamed “you fucking better” because the tenderness with which he cradled your jaw left you pleasantly surprised.

You could feel your cheeks heating up as the soft fabric of your buddy’s gloves and hard bone of his phalanges held you with an unexpected gentleness. A silence fell over the room as his eye lights flickered from one piercing to the other, taking in the sight of the silver metal against your skin.

“...Are you going to do it or are you just going to sit there and stare all day?” you asked after what felt like an eternity.

He squeezed your face a little, forcing your lips to pucker and effectively silencing you.

“‘m just admirin’,” he hummed, his tone uncharacteristically soft. Your lips twitched into a shy smile at that, unsure of how to respond.

After another minute or so of “admirin'”, he took his thumb and gently, gently ran it over one of the piercings decorating your bottom lip. When you looked up into his eye lights, you could see that they'd grown fuzzy around the edges. Funny. You'd never seen them do that before.

“cool,” he said absentmindedly, not really directing it at you. Your breath hitched in discomfort when he pressed down on the piercing a little, testing the give of it on your skin.

“Ow, Rus, remember? Fresh piercing?” The skeleton in front of you at least had the good sense to look mildly embarrassed, zygomatic bones coloring a rusty (haha) reddish-orange as his eyelight snapped back into focus.

“nyeh heh…right…m’sorry, dude.” He continued to run his thumb over the jewelry (though more carefully this time) before moving on to the center of your slightly cracked and swollen lips. He clicked his tongue sympathetically.

“does it hurt a lot?”

You would have shaken your head if it hadn't been cupped in his two hands but you settled for a little “eh” instead.

“It hurt a lot when the needles were going through and when they were putting the jewelry in but now it's mostly just sore.”

Rusty nodded at that, a far off look on his face. You knew that look. He was thinking about something.

Hard.

That could be dangerous.

“What.”

He snapped to attention and looked at you quizzically, still holding your face like one might cradle a baby bird that has fallen from its nest.

“what what?”

“What were you thinking about, bonehead? I could practically smell the smoke.”

He snorted at the ribbing (HA. Ribs.) and faced you with a lopsided smirk on his face.

Uh oh.

“can i kiss you?”

You looked up at him, more than a little shocked, not quite believing the words that had come out of his mouth.

“Run that one by me again?”

“to see how they feel,” he continued, as if it would explain the out of the blue question. You darted your eyes around the room in bewilderment, as if searching for someone to jump out from the closet and shout at you that you'd just been crazy epically pranked or some shit.

Papyrus. Wanted to kiss you??

“...Why would you want to do that?” You managed to reply, voice coming out more taken aback than you meant for it to.

Almost immediately, Rusty let go of your face, like the heat rising to your cheeks had literally burned him. 

He let out a nervous laugh and scratched at the back of his neck. The lopsided smirk dropped from his skull, replaced by a shy, barely there smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, like he realized maybe his request was pushing it too far.

“i dunno. sorry. just curious.”

You frowned at his response. It felt odd hearing your normally talkative friend fall back into his old, shortened speech patterns from when you'd first met.

“Nah, man, don't be sorry, I just,” you struggled to find the words in your flustered state, “I guess I just wasn't expecting it is all.” Rusty leaned back on his hands, putting some distance between the two of you, almost as if he was scared of making you uncomfortable with his close proximity.

“we don't, like, have to,” he shrugged, trying to play his question off.

This fuckin guy.

“I know,” you replied, biting the inside of your cheek in thought, “But we could?”

Papyrus raised a bone brow at you, sharply inhaling (could skeletons inhale?) through his nose in surprise.

“...yeah?” he asked, tilting his head at you hopefully.

“Yeah. Yeah, I think I'd be, uh, cool with that.”

“...ya just seem real nice and soft and warm and-” you put a hand up to cut his rambling off before you could start to get second hand embarrassed from him saying too much.

“Relax, dude, I already said you could. You don't have to convince me.”

“and you're really sure. like you're actually -”

“I'm actually sure that I want you to kiss me, Papyrus.”

He rocked back and forth a bit to work out his nerves, that dopey grin you are more accustomed to slowly returning to his skull. The corners of his eye sockets crinkled up in a way that only a skeleton monster's magical bones could.

“...okay, so like, do i just do it?”

Oh my God.

“Oh my God.”

“right, right, well, uh, okay! pucker up, buttercup!” He cringed at his own phrasing as soon as the words left his mouth, causing you to break into giggles at his ‘just drank spoiled milk’ expression.

He apparently decided to silence your mocking laughter by pressing his teeth to your lips in one quick, slightly rough action. His bones clicked slightly against your piercings and a little zap of magic that felt like static electricity rushed along your bruised lips.

You inhaled sharply through your nose, predictable pain from your fresh piercings shooting up into the rest of your face at Rusty's actions. You nearly pulled back, ready to end the kiss early, when you felt something warm and wet glide soothingly over your lips as if in apology.

His fucking tongue.

More sparks of magic ran through your face as the soft muscle ran over the metal of your jewelry, toying with the balls that sat flushed with your skin.

Weirdo.

Whatever. It's not like it felt bad. You just hadn't expected tongue. Like, you knew he had one, he had this habit of sticking it out when he was really concentrating on something, but you hadn't expected the feeling of it. Warm and wet and absolutely buzzing with magical intent. 

…Not that you could super clearly understand intent (though with Papyrus’ help, you were starting to get better at it), but with it in direct contact with you, you could get a pretty good idea of what was meant by the action.

Soothing/comfort/care.

Aw.

The sharp pain in your lips slowly started to become nothing more than a dull ache as Rusty continued to kiss you. Ah what the hell. You were already smoochin’ your best friend, might as well make it a full on make out sesh. 

You parted your lips slightly to allow him entrance which he accepted gratefully, a pleased rumble starting in his chest at the invitation. 

Oh man, that was a good sound. 

You could feel your breathing start to get heavier and a warmth begin to form deep in your stomach the longer the two of you went at it. 

One of his hands dropped from your cheek to rest on your waist, running his thumb along the sliver of exposed skin between the waistband of your jeans and where your t-shirt hem rode up your hip. Your breath caught in your throat at the cool sensation of bones on warm skin and you absent-mindedly let out a surprised little hum.

You heard him huff a little laugh out of his nose and continue his hand’s path up your shirt to run soothingly along your spine. You shuddered at the action, arching your back instinctively to bring your body closer to his. You fleetingly wondered how it would feel to touch his spine. Was he doing it to you because he knew it was what felt good on him? Would he mind if you-

Then the fucker tugged at your piercing with his teeth.

A sharp pain radiated from your lips and you let out a squeal, slapping at him with your hands. The fucking shithead! 

Soothing/comfort/care YOUR ASS.

He pulled off of you and let out peels of laughter at your indignant expression.

“y’should- oh fuck!! y'should’ve heard the sound ya made!” he chortled, only slightly phased by the miffed punch you landed on his arm.

“You're such a fucking dick!” You grinded out from between your teeth, covering your mouth to shield it from further attacks. Your heart pounded in your chest. 

…And surprisingly, somewhere else too.

His little stunt hurt like a bitch…but…you…well…

“aw c’mon, darlin’, i was just havin’ a little fun,” he cooed placatingly, tossing an arm around your shoulder and pulling you close enough into his side that you could feel the slight hum of his soul through his rib cage.

Oh god. You thought it was kind of hot didn’t you.

“Well you're cut off,” you huffed, more than flustered. You crossed your arms and stood up, moving away from the bed,“that's enough fun for one day.” 

You liked it! You liked it when he bit your fucking piercing!

The skeleton looked up at you from his spot on the bed, expression shifting to one of remorse. He whined out your name and reached for you pathetically.

“whhhaaaattttttt? but we were just getting started!”

“And after that move, you're finished, Papyrus!” The skeleton opened his mouth as if to say something, changed his mind, closed it, then opened it again.

“...look, sugar, ‘m real sorry-”

“They’re fresh piercings, Rusty-”

“-i didn’t mean to kill the mood-”

“-and that really hurt-”

“-i was just messing around, didn’t mean to-”

“-you’ve gotta wait until they’re healed before you try that again!”

“-cause ya any pai- what?” The skeleton stopped and stared at you for a moment, processing what you’d just said.

“...I’m smelling smoke again.”

Ignoring your teasing words, he shook his skull as if to dislodge something from his nonexistent ears before giving you a bewildered sort of look.

“...again?”

“What?”

“you said you wanna try that again?” You shifted from one foot to the other at his request for clarification and looked down at the now suddenly interesting carpet.

Aw man, maybe you should have kept that to yourself.

“...I mean, yeah, when they’re fully healed and all. Otherwise they might reject and that would really suck to have to deal with and-”

He was just messing around with you and you had to make it weird, way to go.

You cut yourself off and shrugged at him, face hot and throat dry.

God you were just digging yourself into a deeper hole, weren’t you?

“...cool.” 

You paused in your worrying to glance up at Rusty and noticed immediately that his cheek bones were deeply tinted with a soft, russet glow.

Oh.

Oh.

It suddenly dawned on you that maybe, just maybe, he hadn’t been merely messing around and was instead, quite possibly, I dunno, just as into biting your piercings as you were into having them bitten? Wow, you were learning  something new about yourself and about your good pal, Papyrus. Strengthening your unbreakable bonds of friendship and what not one make out sesh at a time.

“Cool?”

“yeah,” he let out a little laugh and shot a dorky smile your way, “i can, uh, wait until they’re healed or whatever.”

You let out a relieved little breath and returned his grin with one of your own.

“Okay. Cool.”

Right so this is a strange post, i admit that, but since I'm slowly but surely dipping my toe back into the Undertale Fandom, I feel like I need to ask/beg/question some things-

1. STOP PUTTING THE WRONG PAIRING IN THE TAGS- This happens so much in Papyrus x Reader fics on AO3 and I am so tired- Its okay if Sans is in there, but oh my god PLEASE just tag the character, stop putting in Sans x Reader when it's supposed to just be Paps x Reader. It congests the options and I'm so tired of rooting through stories. Vice versa please! don't give me hope that it'll have Papyrus x Reader when we both know Sans is the Main Feature of that fic. skeleton. Honestly this is an issue in Stranger Things too, but since it's a smaller character pool (often just Steve or Eddie) then I'm not as annoyed.

2. Can the reverse harems just...stop please? Or can we just have smaller casts? Can we have reverse harems contained within different AUs? Like a reverse harem where its just the Fell!AUs (Like Underfell, Swapfell, Fellswap yada yada yada) Or honestly can we just focus on specific dudes now- The Underfell Papyrus x Reader tag is abysmal and I am so saddned by this-

3. Continuing the topic of Reverse Harems, listen, I liked The LandLady fic just as much as the next person but PLEASE. ITS GETTING OLD- Rarely are they ever done right and often characters just get pushed to the wayside because there's just way too many to keep track of.

4. This is a more personal issue of mine but if it somehow convinces one writer to change then I am a happy woman. When you put a bunch of one shots into a multi chapter fic, please either make a table of contents or label what the pairing is in the title of the chapter. It's frustrating reading through a one shot fic and having to jump past chapter after chapter, looking for a specific character because all the chapter names are just words. Like obviously you can name your one shot fic, I dunno, 'Passionate Bones' but that could be about any one of the skeles.

Though there was the faintest streak of light blue on the eastern horizon, it was still gloomy in the camp. A few stubborn stars remained at the top of the sky- they refused to be chased out of their spots until the very traces of night were gone.

Illa was always amazed at how quiet the camp could be, so early in the morning. Through the whole day and even late into the evening, it felt like there was no end to the tasks that needed to be done- no end to the talking, drinking, gambling and fighting. A natural consequence of being surrounded by outlaws, she supposed.

... Yet now, in the darkness just before the sun broke over the hills... everybody was asleep. It was so quiet, as if not a single soul resided in that cluster of hastily pitched tents and flimsy wooden card-playing tables. 

She trudged through the silence, to a little ways out from camp, and a dead tree sitting a few feet from where the ground started to slope down toward the valley in the east- a canteen in one hand and a shawl across her shoulders. Flint had set up a small blanket across the dusty ground. 

She guided herself over to him via the dim light emanating from his lit cigarette. 

... He looked up, at the sound of her approaching. His eyelight, a deep royal purple, cut through the gloomy twilight like a needle.

“hey darlin’.” He said, as she sat. He didn’t waste any time in tucking his arm around her. His voice was low and raspy, a combination of the very early morning, and the numerous cigarettes he’d probably already smoked before she arrived. “glad you could make it.”

She wanted to make a comment about it being ‘too early’, but she knew he’d make fun of her for complaining about the sunrise being early. She leant against his shoulder. His presence was welcome.

“Have you been out here long?” She asked. She wanted to complain about the smell of his cigarettes... but ultimately, the desire to not make a fuss won over.

“nope.”

“Aren’t you cold?”

“not at all.”

Illa was cold. But... well, she didn’t mind. Considering how horrendously hot the midday could get, this far west, she did her best to savour the frosty nights.

A line of orange had now appeared, across the eastern horizon. The sunrise- the reason she got up so damn early. Though she was near-sighted, it didn’t really matter. The colours of the sunrise didn’t require perfect vision to enjoy.

“... didn’t know you enjoyed coffee.” He said. 

Illa glanced down at the canteen cradled in her lap. How did he know it was coffee? He was too perceptive for his own good.

“I... don’t actually enjoy it.” She admitted. “I don’t like the smell.”

Flint gave her a funny look. “... why drink it, then?”

“It’s the only way I’ll be able to stay awake later.”

“yer a strange one, darlin'. could i have some?”

“Don’t poison it.” She said, only half jokingly, passing it to him.

Time seemed to slip by strangely, at sunrise, she was aware of very little but the feeling of Flint's sleeve against her cheek and the way the light spread. Soft blues spread up, slowly creeping up and over their heads, finally snuffing out those final stubborn stars- the layer of orange on the horizon picked up a glow like one might see in the hot coals of a campfire.

So peaceful.

“... you don’t have to get up, later.” Flint said. She wasn’t sure why this particular topic had caught his attention so much. “could sleep in. i know i will.”

“I’m useless enough around camp without sleeping late.” She mumbled.

... He gave her another look. At least he seemed to find her funny today. “yer not useless.”

She took the coffee back, withholding the many sarcastic quips that rose to mind. As much as she liked Flint, and as much as she enjoyed their unofficial ‘relationship’... she really didn’t trust a single word that came out of his mouth. 

Nobody with half a brain would.

“i’m serious.”

“All I do is pick up the crappy lil’ odd jobs that nobody else wants to do.” The valley was visible now, shadows beginning to stretch long across the land. “I’m hardly essential.”

His voice was soft. “but if you didn’t pick up those jobs, nobody would. y’know little things pile up.”

“... Alright, what’s with all the buttering me up?” It was her turn to give him a look. “You want something?”

Flint’s grin lifted. Despite being much more suited to night, he still looked handsome, in the early glow. “dang, am i really that untrustworthy? can’t even try to make you feel better without there being some ulterior motive?”

She rolled her eyes, settling back against his shoulder.

If one didn’t know Flint, it was easy to get swept up in his charm. It was easy to look at the twinkle in his eyelight, the smile on his face, and think there was a special place in his heart for you. 

... But Illa knew him better than that. She’d seen the way his softness could disappear on command. She’d seen him deliberately sowing chaos, pitting people against one another for his own enjoyment. She’d seen him smile at someone like they were his closest friend in the world... then pour poison in their glass as soon as they turned.

He acted like he liked her. But he also often acted like he was too good for her... which left her very much doubtful of the former. She doubted he had much affection for anyone- why he played around with her, she had no idea. Perhaps she had something he wanted. Someone to toy with, someone nearby to flirt with. Perhaps there was some surface level attraction, or perhaps he just enjoyed the way she couldn’t help but get jealous when he gave attention to other women.

... Illa didn’t see the flicker across his face. He quickly covered it up.

“Is that so?” The sky was almost entirely orange now, bathing them both in a golden glow. 

“proves you like me more than everyone else.” He flicked away some cigarette ash. “yer usually such a polite doormat.”

“... Charming.”

... The top of the sun finally broke the horizon. Illa immediately felt its warmth. Her favourite part of the sunrise was over, now, and she knew she now needed to start making peace with the day’s oncoming heat.

“I should get goin’.” She said, reluctantly pulling herself away from him, and to her feet. She took off her shawl, rolling it up into an easy-to-manage ball. “I got the feelin’ it’s gonna be pretty damn hot today.”

Flint gazed up at her. “... one day, darlin’, i’ll manage to getcha to stay with me for the whole sunrise.”

... In her head, Illa laughed in his face. “You really think I’m that gullible? You really think you can say a few romantic words to me, and fool me like all the rest of your collection of broken hearts? Give it up. I know better. Just because I wish you cared about me as much as I care about you, doesn’t mean I’m going to swoon right into your open jaws.”

... But in reality, she just smiled. Because that kind of thing was exactly what she wanted to hear.

Blueberror has sensory issues. If something overwhelms him enough, he will go nonverbal and be visibly distressed until he calms down. As said before, it is the reason why he will not use his powers aside from destroying a universe's code.

He much prefers using hammers to fight because physical things and motion he can deal with.

Before he was taken, he was also one of the few swaps that got accepted into the royal guard, which is why the stars approached him in the first place, aside from being popular among other swaps, fells, and swapfells.

He may be seen as "holier than thou" with his attitude, but he just has really high standards.

What is your favorite au, an au you like the concept of but feel like it could have been executed better, and an au you don't like?

I can't say I have just one favorite because there are several that share the same spot xD But I will highlight an obscure one because I'm biased as heck: @huntertalesau aka Huntertales by @stankychee.

It's her own take on Undertale with the FromSoftware game Bloodborne all mixed together, and I honestly like what she thought up for it. She hasn't shared much publicly yet, which is why I call it obscure, but what she has shared with me over the past few years has made me fall so in love with that AU. Just wanna smooch it.

Underfell, Mafiafell, Swapfell and Fellswap (a lot of Fells~) are also favorites alongside Outertale. I've made enough Swapfell/Fellswap inspired AUs to say that yep, those OG AUs be my favs xD

When it comes to "if it could have been executed better", the first thing that came to mind is actually Mafiafell, particularly the popular (and NSFW) "Sooner or Later You're Gonna Be Mine" fanfic that became the staple of the Mafiafell concept. I personally wasn't too big on where the story was going and the topics the writer (staringback) started to focus on after the halfway point. But, this proved to me that I enjoyed the 1920s aesthetics and big scary Sans (and well-dressed Papyrus) idea of Mafiafell more than the SoL story itself, even though it started off strong. Just personal gripes. Luckily, "Sooner or Later" is not what completely defines the Mafiafell concept, no matter its popularity, so I won't complain too much.

I would have added Dreamtale to the above but from what I've understood (I might be wrong!), it's no longer really considered an Undertale AU anymore by its creator even though it started out as one, so I won't tack that on here.

As for AUs I don't like, there are several that I don't enjoy and plenty I'm just neutral on and no, I won't mention which ones those are ;p

I'm reposting things from my Tw☆tter because Tw☆tter is constantly on the verge of collapse, and I got frustrated with how difficult it was to find other peoples' posts on Tw☆tter. I wanted to be able to easily find their prompts, imagines, daydreams, etc. but it's pretty impossible once an account has like 20,000 tweets. So I wanted to collect all of mine in one place, since it's what I would have wanted others to do too. (Let it be encouragement, maybe? I want to read all your fontcest thoughts.)

I would just move here from Tw☆tter, but Tumblr banned the you-know-what in 2018 and all the real activity is on Tw☆tter. If the ban never happened, I would have never left Tumblr in the first place. And they're never going to un-ban it. But because I'm not posting AFSJ in a visual medium, I should be alright to post here at least.

If any of my silly little thoughts inspire you, please use them. I can't write much, so they'll do nothing but sit here. If the same prompt inspires more than one person… then let there be as many cakes as everyone wants to bake! No credit necessary, but appreciated.

Even if something isn't tagged as vaguecest, do feel free to switch names around or whatever to imagine your AU of choice if the prompt seems like it could fit them, too. I actually struggle a bit with some classic fontcest prompts because I feel like it might fit more than one.

If you have the spoons, how do you think the mafiatale/ mafiafell / underfell papyrus/ swap fell gold &purple sans’s would react to their S/O telling someone off for trying to flirt while they’re out at a restaurant?

I imagine the situation of someone walking up, trying to flirt and getting annoyed at being rejected, followed by the S/O saying “My parent’s kitten has more bite than you. We’re in public, shut up, sit down somewhere and contemplate your complete lack of manners.”

Underfell Papyrus - He ends your speech with a long menacing growl and a protective hand on your shoulder. If the guy didn't get the message after what you said, he sure has now. Once they're gone, Edge simply goes back to whatever you were talking about, happy to have dinner with you!

Swapfell Sans - He smiles at the rejected guy with pity. Yeah, he knows he's lucky to have you. Too bad he's not sharing. He puts the last screw on the intruder's coffin by telling them they can sit at the bar and dream of the life they will never have with you. Be jealous in silence please.

Fellswap Gold Sans - Wine doesn't care and calls security to eliminate that random man polluting his living space and yours. It's a table for two people, who invited that guy in the first place? Go in hell? Wine doesn't even look their way as they're dragged out of the room. He's not going to get bothered by such unimportant topics.

Mafiatale Sans - He chuckles as the guy is decomposing right in front of you. He was not too enthusiastic about going to the restaurant, it's not that much his thing, but after that, he's for sure in a good mood and cheers a little.

Mafiatale Papyrus - He grabs the intruder's arm and says nothing, simply staring right through their soul for a very long two awkward minutes. Eventually, they're very uncomfortable and leave on their own. Why waste time talking to them when you can simply make them realize their mistake silently?

Mafiafell Sans - He can't believe the audacity. The guy stole his seat and is flirting with you like he's not right behind them. That's fine though. Fang uses his magic to yeet the guy from his chair, then he makes them fly through the entire restaurant and violently crash into the wall. Well, after that, you're fired from the restaurant. Fang regrets nothing though, even if he pretends really hard he's sorry lol.

Mafiafell Papyrus - He lets his S/O's handle it, simply standing behind them, menacingly. The problem is that Torpedo is three heads taller than you and he really doesn't have a friendly face. So yeah, your annoying pretendant is kinda pissing themselves after a few minutes of Torpedo staring. Torpedo tells you he's proud of you afterwards.

Hey, so ya’ll know theres New Home and Old Home?

Brain loves to tell me; There was a reasoning for the New Home in all versions of Undertale AU’s? Each being different.

I forget what the original is for Undertale, or if someone has the information or if there even is any; I’d love to hear it.

But I got a small theory for Swapfell Red...

It’s full of darkness, of evil doers, and perhaps Old Home is not as abandoned as many think... Perhaps it’s still homed to those of real dark auras, or even beasts who became too powerful for LV, becoming creatures for power and killing one another constantly? It’s blocked off, but of course there are ways in...

Or, perhaps... Homed to the virus which threatens to take hold of every single Monster living underground...

So many cool things to do with this version; All the darkness, the twisted enders, the adventure of fools who think they can take it on and live to tell the tales...

...Perhaps... Mutt would be dared to go through this, be put through a test, but ended up coming out alive? Or hell, even better yet Black, which it changes and challenges him...
