I have spent entirely too much time, and probably more than I should have, paging through quotes in response to your question (oops), but some random songs that have popped into mind as I did follow, in vaguely descending order of screaming. I've got a couple of playlists for Silrah, but those are specific to fics or AUs so they're probably less useful. (Just wait, I'll think of a dozen more as I listen to music this week and shriek about it into the void.)

Poetry is harder, esepcially without digging a variety of books out, but W. S. Merwin's "Separation" and Tennessee Williams' "We Have Not Long to Love" both pop in readily. Lately I've had Linda Pastan's "The Five Stages of Grief" stuck in my head, the final lines in particular. My current poetry obsession is George Seferis though, and in a particularly Silrah vein I'd probably point at "Flight", though it's not one of the ones I scream about the loudest. r.h. sin's "infinite us", which I cannot find to link and so am quoting below, gives me (romantic or platonic) soulmate vibes, which I honestly adore -- I absolutely ship those two, but I am equally here for deep platonic bonds instead.

I assure you that when this life ends I will find you in the next no matter what the circumstances are our love is forever everlasting, never-ending

Anyway. Before I don't get to the work I've been meaning to do and just vanish into poetry books, I should stop. This is already a very long and roundabout way of saying "I am bad at this thing but I hope these provide something useful", and thank you in advance!

my favourite side episode that ive been planning for 5ever is the team gets invited to a fancy ball and aja gets a handmade gown for it and feels really Normal about all this

#theres more to it but thats the relevant part #basically this is a s2 episode so after shes died and come back and hutch is really insistent that aja has to put effort into making friends #outside of them. because they know she doesnt really have anyone else. and they really only made it through losing her because they had #people in their corner to help and be supportive. and she doesnt because she doesnt. like people or want anyone else #so they get these invites to this gala and hutch is like nah i dont wanna go. find someone to give my ticket to and have a good time #basically forcing her to go without her safety blanket yk #and she doesnt know who to ask and the whole episode is over the prep week for this while shes getting measured for the dress and #its getting made and fitted and whatever. and the costume girl whos been a side character the whole time but aj has never really paid much #attention to is SO excited to make this fancy dress and will hold aj in there for hours just to make sure its perfect #and at some point after a convo with hutch aj realizes she doesnt. listen when other people speak to her. and actually sits down to listen #to what seffie has to say and actually talk to her. and she talks about growing up watching princesses and celebrities on tv and being poor #and wanting more than anything to look like a princess on a red carpet like that and then does some like haha well at least i get to do my #job! and youll look beautiful! and aj is like. well actually. i have a ticket.#and thats the episode its mostly just about aja learning that other people DO understand her and she CAN relate to them #things she has convinced herself are impossible #and then it has the bonus of these two girls who never get to feel beautiful get to play dressup and go to a fancy party and enjoy each #others company. its kind of a filler episode but i love it #🌟

Guess Who's Moving!!

It's me, I'm moving multiple states away with my cat in like 1 month! (That's still so crazy to me!)

I'm very excited none the less for the future! There will probably be more sketchy posts in the future before then. Whatever I can manage to squeeze in! Thank you guys for staying with me through this crazy time and thank you for (almost) 60 followers! :]

#I am very exhausted but I am doing my best to make all of this work!!#But the plus side is that i get to move in with our partner and their wonderful family until we both have a place of our own #but still #whole new state like 5 states away or something so big move!#having to drive through the mountains and shit again.... that part i am not excited for!!#not to MENTION the family shit going on #just when i thought my family couldnt be crazier i learn 3 new things back to back and im on the floor from the impact of shock #its still SUCH a crazy move to me but its definitely needed #not only to get the chapter of my life with our partner going #but to leave my hometown where just absolutely ALL my family is #mostly the side that actively stalks me and wont leave me alone so i can live a little more freely without being stressed #Its kind of an unexpected move but hey. Schmigadoon enthusiasts, please reblog this post with whether you preferred s1 or s2 and why 🙏 I've seen really mixed reactions and would love to know why the opinions seem to differ so greatly

#Its so cool how I can see a bunch of people saying they wayyy preferred season 2 #and then turn around and see a bunch of different people say they preferred s1 and i just wanna know why #i personally enioyed season 1 but season 2 had me ballistically happy #I was in a constant state of excited buzz and joy #I think its mostly because I actually knew the musicals this time around #and how this specific era of musicals is one of my absolute favoirtes #but its also because Josh and Mel are a team this time instead of arguing with each other yknow #I just much prefer that dynamic #AND ALSO s2 explored the other chatacters much more and gave them the time to shine which is another thing i absolutely love #Josh and Mel were kind of the center of all the action in s1 but I enjoyed seeing different characters and their journeys #this also allowed aaron tveit and dove cameron and jane krakowski to be absolute standouts this season #and dont even get me started on the spectacular job Tituss Burgess did as the narrarator #Also the songs are so catchy but thats probably a side effect of me just liking this era of musicals #anyways s2 just appealed to me a lot because of how much it fit into my tastes #schmigadoon #schmicago #schmigadoon!

#rat rambles #oc posting #warriors posting #spiraling upwards #long story short they had a shitty awful terrible leader who sucked absolutely ass and they tore him to shreds #I mean that literally they pinned him onto the mountain side and slashed and mauled the shit out of him so hard that his lives evaporated #and several of the cats involved in that scene are sill alive and major parts of the story and I love them #oh also the cat that pinned him through a stab through the throat was his own daughter btw everyone hated his ass so much #and for good reason get his ass #alas in the main story I dont rly get to go too deep into how he harmed everyone involved mostly just three main ones #aka bristlestar because shes murtlepaw's ghost mom dawncrackle because hes also haunting murtle and gullspot because shes bristle's kit #so basically all the flashbacks we get involve those three in some form or another #honeystar was also there and involved but Im not currently planning on having her rly talk abt that #most of her more modern angst is the fact that she was forced into leadership against her will #and shes been alive long enough that shes been leading birchclan far longer than she ever lived in her old clan #but she did go through a lot of shit before birchclan was founded and it definitely shaped her a lot #she used to be a very determined and high spirited lil kitty cat who tried to be optimistic #but her family began to slowly be picked off one by one by both the old leader and the one whod later get evicerated #some of the older cats around her hoped it make her back down from her revelutionary ideas but she noticed that and it backfired on them #instead of being worn down to submission she became absolutely Furious and began to lash out more and become more demanding #it got to the point that she really only had two friends in the entire clan and one of them was her aunt whod later also die after coming #out abt having witnessed the leader killing his own kits #that was the final fucking straw for her and she was fully on board when bristle and dawn started looking for cats to join their rebellion #she did get rly frustrated with them as they waited patiently for the right moment but her remaining bestie kept her from going apeshit #so once the big fight finally broke out she was more than eager to join the hoard of cats chasing the bastard upwards #now unlike some of the other cats involved this legitimately actually made her feel a lot better for a while #for the first time in ages she finally felt like she could be optimistic abt smth again and was excited abt the idea of leaving this place #she had lost so much in this damn place since she was an apprentice and just wanted to finally be able to rest easy #but once they got to their new territory and set up camp things went south real fast as a flood fucked everything up #and after losing the only cat she had left in her life and losing her tail and being made deputy on top of that she deteriorated quickly
