I've been seeing a few DPxDC Dad!Damian ideas so I'd like to toss my idea into the void of the internet.

Damian is on a lead about a glowing green puppy, that can apparently change size and go through walls, and finally manages to track it down before even his father hears about it. The puppy seemed to be stealing random things too.

He was fully ready to use all the tricks in the book to get the puppy to trust him... and after a few days/weeks he manages to gain its trust.

He just wasn't expecting the puppy to drag him to abandoned warehouse and drop him in front of a few kids that were hiding out in it.

"Oh! Cujo you finally brought your new person over!" says the only red-haired one in the group, and she was holding a baby, as two almost identical toddlers ran over to the excited pupper that began to run around them.

Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

Thane Krios' romance holds me in such a chokehold.

his romance is just so... raw. and surprisingly realistic. it's down to earth because people go through tragedy and carry so much baggage that sometimes it weighs them down until they can't see light. his story is filled with tragedy and loss and fuck ups. he's a widower with a son he failed and a career that took out every bit of self from him. he made so many wrong choices and in a manner, he had no other way.

and still, when he meets Shepard, he allows himself that bit of belief that someone cares about him. he accepts a helping hand, he starts making himself better - and tries to fix things. he knows he doesn't have long to live, but that's the point for me.

people die. people get sick and wither away and sometimes there is nothing you can do. sometimes all you *can* do is be there for that person.

the way Shepard loves him, sees past any defenses Thane put up, and allows him to drop them because she's a safe person...

this is a love story of two incredibly complex adults who know exactly what loss is. it's people who live such a dangerous life, that they simply have to take their chance then and there because tomorrow might never happen.

in this weird place where i do think its plausible cullen has worked through a lot in the 3-4 years between da2 and inquisition but i also think he's 100% not done fixing his shit.

he accuses the mages way too quickly in haven, and then when the templars are throwing their hissy fit (and remember, the inquisition has no idea what's happening) while the mages reach out he still wants to go talk to the templars instead.

he gives the templars the benefit of the doubt, continually, and like. idk, i just wish DAI gave us a moment to hammer down either

we had to save the order from red lyrium and we keep seeing templars refuse to question their orders and refuse to consider their own actions or

the order has glutted itself on poison and power and serves a blighted tevinter magister and not a single deserter from therinfal showed up at our doors. they followed their orders and marched into living death.

i need that confrontation where he has to finally stop giving them the benefit of the doubt. and without him saying, "i was wrong about [specific action]," like, i can't blame people who dislike him. there isn't really a satisfying confrontation in DAI regarding his past. i wish there was, but its kinda been left to fanfic writers at this point, lmao.
