Ive come to the realization that the reason theres a small but loud group of people who are showing nothing but hate for the rwrb movie is because they have completely unrealistic expectations. People are forgetting that this is a cheesy romantic comedy, thats supposed to look and feel like a cheesy romantic comedy. This isnt going to be moonlight or gods own country or some other critically acclaimed, oscar nomintaed queer film that makes straight people go "hmm maybe they do deserve rights and respect🤷‍♀️"

Its gonna be a cheesy adult romantic comedy, thats gonna be a bit camp and over the top and thats exactly why its so good. I dont want to think about every gay movie I watch. There is this issue thats become bigger and bigger every passing year, that people expect every bit of queer representation to be the best thing ever. There can not ever be anything cringey or different or silly, and if it is then they send endless hate towards it, and in an industry that already hates to show queer people on screen, its this viscious cycle of someone finally being greenlit to make queer media, the media gets endless hate for not being perfect, the studio cancels the queer media before giving it a chance because theyve just 'proven that it wont make money', suddenly everyone is saying 'why do they keep canceling queer media😢', cycle repeats.

I want light-hearted rom coms about queer adults just being queer adults and havig fun. I want comedy adventures where the characters just happen to be gay. I want more horror where at the end the final girl kisses a girl and can't belive they lived but not because they're gay. (suprisingly several of these exist and I love it)

Some name calling nonsense and really aggresive replies where bandied back and forth. People were passive aggresive and mean. People ignored each other then wrote vagueing posts about it. The usual damned foolishness you would expect.

Then someone else referenced that one book whose whole thesis is basically Napoleon was Probably Bi. The book, I will say, isn't great. I'd never recommend it. But it was floating around in the 2014/15 world of Napoleonic Tumblr.

And oh man was the person who suggested it torn to shreds. Eviscerated. It was like watching a train wreck and the by standers decided to lock the doors of the train and not let the passengers off while everything burned.

There were weird spin-off dramas from this nonsense where people got into whether or not being interested in Napoleon made you a war crime sympathizer. (Some things never change on this webbed site.) Messy, messy. Also, utterly dumb.

Anyway - it ended up weirdly boiling down to two sides: Are You A Serious Historian/Take History Seriously(tm) Therefore Anti-Napoleon Possibly Being Something Like Queer Even If Never Acted On versus People Having Fun(tm) on the Internet Who Now Have Their Backs Up and Are Responding Perhaps Unwisely.

But let me say again!! All of the imagines were so so darling, Legolas’ was absolutely heart melting!! He’s such a dear, and if the books(especially) and movies didn’t show how good he was at dishing out sass, I’d almost worry he’d be in over head with twins. And I loved the touch with Eowyn having the moment of deciding whether she’d want to carry the child or not and getting the feel for being a mother maybe in a way she hadn’t expected, it felt so down to earth and sweet, she can do it all and I love her for it. And this is rambling on but rest assured I also adored the hobbit versions as well(the Bilbo one is so endearing to me! Imagine the lil nipper running around with Frodo trailing behind them, the two good as siblings, a few years after)!! But seriously as to not fill the whole askbox, thank you again!

I so appreciate this ask! Not just for your kind words about my writing, but for that thanks about inclusion. Eddie wouldn't necessarily label himself unless it was to spite religious assholes who take the Bible too seriously, and then he'll announce proudly that he's bi as in Bible. Mind you, not all of them are assholes and Eddie's debated with a few who are willing, especially when he would help them with their groceries. He doesn't think things through sometimes, and sometimes he does.

To him, everyone's sexuality was a gray blobby question mark. He doesn't like to make assumptions about that, but he did have trouble not making assumptions in other areas. It came to a complete surprise to him that Steve Harrington was exactly who the kids said he was. When Steve threw his sweater at him and when he ripped that bat in half, Eddie knew that he had to test the waters because holy shit, that was the hottest thing that he had ever seen. He came up with the cynical eyes bullshit about Nancy, just to see. . .he didn't really mean it.

He also really didn't think when he rushed off to buy them more time. He thought for sure they were going to kill him when they wrapped themselves around his throat and limbs. Suddenly, they were dropping like flies, and he was freed from their grasp. He ran back into the trailer, fixed the rope, and climbed back into the other side where Dustin tried to beat him with his fists.

"JESUS H CHRIST! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Eddie shrieked. "Stop hitting me, man!"

"You and Steve both are sacrificial assholes!" Dustin yelled at him.

He took one of his uncle's hats off the walls and started beating Eddie over the head with it. That's when the other three started coming through the gate. Steve placed his hands on his hips as he looked at them.

"Do I even want to know?" Steve asked.

"Steve!" Dustin exclaimed and pointed the hat at Eddie. "Eddie tried to be a hero when you told him not to!"

"Tattle tail!" Eddie scowled.

"What did I say, Munson?" Steve asked.

"All I heard was 'don't be cute'," Eddie said, flashing his dimples at Steve. "So, what's the verdict? Is the wicked witch dead, Dorothy?"

"Well, Tin Man," Steve said dryly. "Vecna is dead."

"Seriously?!" Dustin and Eddie exclaimed.

The answer came a moment later when the gate started to stitch itself closed before disappearing as if nothing had been there at all. Everyone looked at each other for a moment before they burst into very loud cheers. They all jumped and hollered, forming one giant group hug. Of course, Steve had to pull back, and Eddie followed. He didn't even think when he looked at Steve. There were no thoughts in his head, only the feeling of victory. He grabbed Steve by the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. He didn't think when Steve deepened the kiss or when Steve slipped his tongue into his mouth. When they broke the kiss, Eddie's eyes widened when he realized what he had done. Everyone was looking at them. Nancy was looking at Steve like she had just put the dots together. Robin was grinning, and Dustin looked like Christmas had come early.

"Shit, Steve, I'm sorry! You can totally hit me if you want to. Go ahead, right here, I deserve it. I didn't even ask!" Eddie exclaimed, closing his eyes and pointing to his cheek.

He felt Steve grab him by his waist, and instead of a punch, he felt him kiss his cheek, then quickly kissed his lips.

"Now, why would I want to punch the guy who gave me the best kiss of my life," Steve said. "Now, let's get you to the bathroom because I think the bats got a bite in."

Steve pulled his hand away and showed Eddie his own blood.

"Oh, shit," Eddie said with wide eyes and let Steve drag him away. "Wait, hold on, did you imply that I'm a better kisser than Nancy Wheeler? I fucking win."

"I'm going to blame that on the fact that you're losing blood, asshole!" Nancy laughed, and Eddie cackled.

Steve rolled his eyes as he brought him into the bathroom and began looking for the first aid kit. Eddie gazed at him fondly, not bothering to tell him where he was. He just watched as Steve leaned over to look in the cabinet under the sink. Eddie eyes raked over his lovely buttocks and grinned when Steve finally found it, holding it up like a prize.

"You knew where it was," Steve glared at him.

"Guilty," Eddie laughed.

Steve continued to glare as he pushed him gently against the sink. Eddie took off his jacket and vest to allow him better access.

"Take off your shirt too, Eddie," Steve said.

"What?" He asked.

"You heard me, Tin Man," Steve said, his eyes growing slightly dark. "Take off your shirt."

"So, that's sticking, huh?" Eddie asked. "Does this mean that I can call you Dorothy?"

"No, I prefer Scarecrow. After all, they were friends of Dorothy," Steve said, smirking and Eddie laughed.

"Smartass," Eddie said and whipped off his shirt.

He watched as Steve’s eyes raked over his body. What was there to see? Eddie was pale with barely any muscle, and his tummy was quite soft. He barely had hair on his chest, unlike Steve, whose eyes were growing darker by the minute. Steve’s beautiful hazel eyes landed on his tattoos, and Eddie watched him as he swallowed, his tongue running over his bottom lip. Steve cleared his throat, realizing that he needed to focus and to grab some guaze to put pressure on Eddie's wound that was awfully close to his hip. Of course, Steve had to get on his knees to get a better look at the wound. Eddie groaned.

"Are you alright? Did I hurt you?" Steve asked, looking up at him with soft eyes.

"Don't fucking look at me like that when you're on your knees in front of me, man," Eddie said slapping a hand over his eyes. "Just do whatever you need to do to me, and let's go!"

"Really?" Steve asked, and Eddie could practically hear the smirk in his voice.

"Shut up!" Eddie laughed.

Steve giggled as he stopped the bleeding, cleaned it up, and placed a bandage over his wound. It was nowhere near as bad as Steve’s. Suddenly, there came a harsh knock on the door, and Robin's voice came through.

"If you guys are done fucking in there, we need to check on Max, Lucas, and Erica!" Robin yelled.

"I hate her. I swear to God," Steve said and sighed. "She's right, though. Um, if I ask you to check my hair for spider eggs later, let me just say that it's completely and totally Robin's fault that I'm worried about that."

"Wouldn't mind get my hand through those gorgeous locks of yours, anyway," Eddie said.

Steve smirked and slowly stood up. His mouth shot out, and he gave Eddie's nipple a quick but gentle bite. Eddie cursed.

"You did say anything that I needed to do," Steve said.

Eddie gave a quick, hard kiss to Steve’s lips and hurried to pull on his clothes.

"Fucker, you didn't need to do that," he muttered and then said with affection, "Freak."

"Only for you, baby," Steve said, gooseing him on the way out of the bathroom.

Eddie giggled, swatting at his hands. His heart was pounding, his cheeks were flushed, and he could feel his stomach fluttering with a thousand tiny bats. Yeah, Steve Harrington was going to be the death of him.

They drove away in the stolen RV again, on the way to the Creel House, where they would find Max and Lucas perfectly fine aside from Lucas having a few bruises. After that, they would drive onto Steve’s house. Although they didn't know exactly how tired they were until they all sat down. Eddie sat against the driver's seat that Steve was sitting in again. He nodded off, waking up briefly to find Dustin leaning against him and snoring. He nodded off, only to wake up again to find the rest of the kids curled up against him and Dustin.

"If you tell anyone about this. . .," Erica muttered and fell asleep in the middle of her threat.

Eddie smiled and closed his eyes. He vaguely heard Steve and Nancy's voices something about not wanting to wake them up. They did the impossible and defeated Vecna. Even though he was still wanted for murder, Eddie wasn't worried. After Vecna, his friends. . .his family, well, they could do anything, especially with Steve fucking Harrington as his boyfriend. Holy shit?! Eddie's eyes popped open to find Steve looking at him fondly.

"Come on, Tin Man, we're in Kansas," Steve said.

"You live in Kansas?!" Eddie exclaimed.

"You're boyfriend's a dud, Steve," Robin muttered sleepily.

"You should join Hellfire, Robin," Eddie said, rubbing sleep from his eye. "So I can kill off your character immediately."

Steve wrapped an arm around Eddie's waist and let him lean sleepily against him. Eddie was glad that he didn't think, not once, when he kissed Steve. He was the luckiest Tin Man in the whole world.

I am nonbinary and trans masc myself and I call myself a lesbian and sometimes the imposter syndrome gets to me, that I can’t be a lesbian… or that I am not really a trans masc if I am one.

I just… I think I believe in people calling themselves whatever label makes them feel comfortable. You won’t change it anyway???? Seriously let’s be real. If someone wants to call themselves (insert anything here), what will you do to change it? Nothing. And does it hurt anyone? No.

A trans man lesbian? Go for it dude. Trans men got a different experience than cis men anyways and they are inherently queer. Trans men butches exist yeah? If you’re a trans man and you don’t want to be included in lesbianism? Also valid. I am happy to call you a straight/bi/pan man.

And i think that queerness should defy gender and societal norms in general. The definitions shouldn’t be set in some fucking monolith. I’ll never understand people playing some fucking queer police, telling people what they can and can’t do. Your experience isn’t the one and only that is right and it doesn’t mean that it should be the definition. Like Bitch?!

Maybe I am wrong. Sue me. I just think we should let people do their thing.

ok i just said it doesn't really bother me but i do wanna rant a little bc it's SO insane to claim that you're only a real homosexual if you've never felt an ounce of attraction to ANYONE but your own gender... as though True Attraction is easily defined and quantifiable for everyone? as though gendered attraction is in and of itself something that involves some essence of other people's genders or whatever and not just what you percieve???

like yeah, personally, i do deem the attraction that i used to think i had for women as fake. but i'm an incredibly self-aware and self-analytical and generally In My Head person. i can look in there and see the throughline and know the exact reason i thought i liked girls, and hell, i can even remember the conscious thoughts i had where i was forcing myself to feel it. but i do NOT expect everyone to be the same?? like that would be insane. if everyone was as self-aware as me, specifically. that's not healthy lol.

but anyway, on that same vein, repression and the closet are seriously powerful things. there may have been a layer of conscious attempt to be masculine in the mix, but when i was 16 and searching for things to appreciate in girls' appearances and, because i was trying so hard, sometimes finding them, and acheiving that abstract feeling of attraction that i was looking for... would it really be SO insane if i now wanted to say that yes, i have been attracted to women, and i just got over it?

when i say that i'm not attracted to women now, that doesn't even mean that i have never been attracted to a single woman. it means that womanhood and femininity does not inherently appeal to me. that's where "exceptions" come in - it's literally not that deep. it's when you recognize that you're feeling something, and maybe you're unsure but it seems at least attraction-adjacent, but it's not related to the prerequisite of gender that's usually on your capacity for attraction; it's in spite of it. i have to imagine that the majority of the time when this happens, it's because the person is in fact somewhat androgynous, or some part of you percieved this person as the gender you do like when you weren't conscious of it, or there's some aspect of their appearance that has the right gendered "energy" to you. and sometimes people just look really fucking interesting, or people are just excpetionally beautiful, and it hits you so hard that it seems like attraction but you're really just in a brief moment of awe! sometimes you just enter the cosmic soup for a second!

and feeling superior about having never had this happen to you is... well, it's just that, isn't it? it's purely about feeling superior. i honestly don't even believe that it's truly the case for that one person. i feel like the internal need to say shit like that has got to come from an insecurity about the fact that you're not that "true homosexual" that you're claiming deserves to never be implied to have things in common with all other gay people.

furthermore... the notion of it being homophobic to identify as gay when you're "not 100% internally homosexual"? well i mean obviously that's the terf shit. it's the braindead idea that other people's identities take anything away from you. as if anyone actually identifies as gay "when they're actually bi" just for fun and not because their "straight" attraction is extremely incidental and/or just does not preclude actually acting on it... like duh, lol. and even if it was for fun, it literally still takes nothing. it's a completely imaginary danger.

Hey idk if this is okay for me to do but I need someone to talk to and I feel like I can trust you, feel free to ignore this if you’re uncomfortable.

I’m getting worried that my irl friends are starting to dislike me, they seem kind of distant and today they barely even talked to me, a couple didn’t talk to me at all. I’m pretty used to this happening, I finally make some friends but they have better friends than me or I do something wrong and we can’t be friends anymore. But I’m seriously tired of this, and it’s starting to get to me. I keep making them uncomfortable with my humor and overall actions. I want to change but I don’t know if that’s even healthy or if I even can, I have ADHD so it’s hard for me to make differences in what I do. My girlfriend even told me one of my friends “doesn’t know how to feel about me”.

Even though it wasn’t explicitly said she doesn’t like me, it’s basically the same thing in my case. I know I messed up and I don’t know how to fix it and I feel like such a shitty person for doing this to her. I even came out to my girlfriend about my sexuality and how insecure I am about it and made her uncomfortable. For about a year now, I’ve been really questioning whether having friends is really a good thing for me since all my friendships always end up making me feel like shit because of who I am. I’ve had three friends now whose parents don’t like me because of who I am.

I’ve also been getting bullied and harassed for being transgender and bi, and I got a no contact order against the main guy who’s been doing it. People always keep asking me about my relationship with my girlfriend and whether we’re still together. I want to break up with her but I can because I know it’ll ruin her. She has depression and autism so if I were to do this to her, I don’t know what will happen. But I hate romance and only accepted being her boyfriend because she asked me first, and I didn’t have the heart to reject her, and I wanted to be in a romantic relationship at the time even though I’m aromantic. I just want to be friends with her, but I don’t know how that will even work since she still has feelings for me.

My dad also is still getting angry over little things and making me hate myself even more. Everyone always has an excuse for why he does this, and while I acknowledge that and do feel bad that he feels that way, it doesn’t change the fact I feel so shitty because of him nor does it justify the way he treats me. I can’t even be upset about it because the older generations had worse childhoods than me.

I just hate myself so much and my depression isn’t getting any better, and I don’t know what to do. I don’t like therapy and my family is basically homeless so even if I was okay with therapy, my parents probably couldn’t pay for it anyway. I feel like such a terrible friend, son, brother, student, and just person in general. Sometimes I seriously question if I even deserve to live or if living is even worth it. I’d probably kill myself already if I wasn’t so scared to do it.

I’d only get a little wary if you were looking for advice. I’m not good at giving that. The only “advice” I��d be able to give is to not let the fact that older generations had “worse” childhoods make you feel invalid. They were different eras, different standards, and different experiences. Their shitty isn’t gonna be the same as your shitty. No shitty time is worse than the other; just different.

How I feel about this character

I have mixed feelings about Lann. On one hand, he's funny and works great in combat if you build him right! On the other, so much of his character writing...well, it doesn't work for me. It doesn't help that I've been playing the game since Beta and was subjected to the "can't break up with him" bug when romances were added. Even after it was fixed, the fact he used to not get the hint when Ariadne repeatedly called him a friend, combined with the "oh what was I thinking of course you don't want to spar with a freak" guilt trip when I finally did manage to break off the romance and some of the things he says during council meetings really did not endear him to me.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

No one. Lann's one of those characters whose character arc I think works best without romance.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

I do like his friendship with Daeran and Woljif. They act like children sometimes and it's frequently hilarious and sometimes frustrating. It gives me flashbacks to high school with that group of oh-so-funny guys who never took anything seriously who would exasperate the teacher with their behavior (the teacher in the situation is Regill.)

My unpopular opinion about this character

Ok, everyone please be cool but...I don't ship him with Daeran. Full stop, I don't get the appeal. I had a completely different read of that one banter than everyone else, and just given my conflicted feelings on the guy I'm not really chomping at the bit to ship him with my favorite character. I do fully agree he should've been bi and I support bisexual Lann headcanons but it's not...it's not a ship that does anything for me, I'm sorry.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish it wasn't so hard to recruit both him and Wenduag (and they both live to the end of the game.) I'm currently rethinking some things for Ari's playthrough in regards to Wendu, and while I get why they're mutually exclusive except in very particular circumstances, I still think it sucks. Especially because they have a very interesting dynamic.

Okay so, I’m on anon because we’ve had 0 interaction previously and while I love your blog and do really want to get to know you better, I feel like you just need support rn.

Im going to share a little bit about my journey to see if it sounds a bit familiar to you (even if it doesn’t, that’s alright too!!). A bit about me: I’m a lesbian who that she was bi for ~8 years when I was young(er) and still figuring it out, because I knew I liked women but never seriously considered whether I actually liked men and just took it as a default that I did. I also sort of mentally tried to train myself into liking men via celebrity crushes etc. (something I know few of my gay guy friends also did in fear of not being bi), but obviously it didn’t work. I never actually slept with a man, but that’s more because whenever an opportunity would present itself I’d come up with a million excuses not to and less because I didn’t seriously consider it and I did feel like I wanted to. A lot of my thinking came down to me not being repulsed by the idea of having sex with a dick and instead actively fantasising about it. I thought that meant that I was *cured* as it were, and therefore couldn’t be a lesbian. When I got over that mental hurdle, I sort of realised that yeah, sex with a dick would be hot, but sex with a dick that’s a strap CONNECTED TO A WOMAN? 1000x hotter. And yeah, like you, I never really felt the same level of romantic attachment to the men in my life.

One thing I do want to say is that obviously for LGBT+ people it’s very common to view us getting to know ourselves better as a crisis, and it definitely feels like that. When I thought I was bi I didn’t really come out or anything and tried to keep my romantic life very seperate (partly because I did deep down think the label was off for me, but also yknow, that deep deep shame of internalised homophobia). BUT, it didn’t feel like a crisis in the same way realising I was a lesbian did. I think comphet really does mess with you mentally and it was pretty hard for me to come to terms with the fact that not only did I like women, but I didn’t like men. Once I did, I felt happier than I ever had in my life and I’m out and proud!! I think it might be worth thinking about why we articulate these things as a crisis to begin with and question what are the barriers in your own head preventing you from fairly considering the possibility you’re a lesbian.

On liking non-binary people, I sometimes feel guilty for finding nb people attractive when I’m a self-professed lesbian and they do not identify as a woman. But it’s not because I see them as women? It doesn’t stop me from calling myself a lesbian, however. Sexuality is complex and nuanced, but being attracted to an nb person now and then doesn’t take away from the fact that I’m a lesbian.

I hope this helps!!! Sometimes there isn’t a simple answer to these things and there doesn’t need to be. Labels are helpful, but not when they box you in or prevent you from finding yourself. I think the first step is to really think long and hard (lol) about why this is a crisis for you and what will change if you are lesbian.

Either way, remember to love yourself first and foremost and know there will always be sapphic sisters out here cheering you on 🌈❤️🏳️��🌈

Truth is they'll only show me kindness if I had the right type of abuser, went through the right type of abuse and had the right type of sexuality.

And the problem is I can't discuss this anywhere like literally anywhere if I post smth on my blog I'll have feminists and women say to me oh but you don't know hwo society treats mothers maybe she doing the best she could, oh well that never happened to me etc etc... like I can't deal with this. And on normal spaces like men don't care they'll use my abuse as an excuse to be misogynistic it's such an isolating experience. I don't expect feminists to fight for me like feminism is about female liberation they don't owe me anything but why did they have to go out of their way to attack me, mock me, call me a liar, belittle what happened to me, tell me I'm exaggerating, treat me as If I was betraying tye feminist cause for speaking up like i was a fucking mra, and I'm not even allowed to let my abuse affect me if I have one negative sentiment towards women I'm a pick me I'm sexist I'm this I'm that.

Obviously I'm not in exactly the same boat as you, so I can't fully address the parts about being a woman. But you're definitely not alone - all of the women in your position *I've* talked to feel the same. I have at least one friend that's voiced very similar things (don't worry I asked for permission before linking; she said she'd be open to talking to you if you want). And while I haven't experienced it first hand... I mean... I've seen it. I've seen the anger and vitriol that gets sent you way, the way your trauma is scoured for any excuse to be dismissed, the way you get excoriated as anti-feminists for not pretending it's a lesser deal. And I do understand the loneliness. Sometimes I wonder if this is why I subconsciously isolate myself despite having lots of people that express they care about me, enjoy my company, etc. Because I can't fully trust any of them would take this topic seriously, and I just... couldn't bear it if they didn't. Sometimes trying to find people that will accept this, *and* my bisexuality, and have compatible values... I don't know, it feels way too unlikely you know? And that's just for friendship, throw in attraction/sexual compatibility in there and it's like... do these people exist...

The condescension is unbearable. Again, obviously not the same for me, but I'm so TIRED of people throwing it in my face like I'm saying misogyny isn't real? It's so frustrating that bringing this topic up at all invariably gets me listed as an MRA despite my beliefs being the opposite? Or they tell me things like that men are more likely to be the perpetrators against either sex... as if they ever took me seriously with that either? Either way, my bisexuality gets used against me, too. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where the excuses ran out - I guess that's the really disappointing thing. There's always someone willing to come to bat for these people, and they always try to justify their view as the moral and sensible one.

If you feel like you're suffocating about it all, I think you might as well blog about it. Who else are you going to blog for? It's your life! You're the only one that can give your voice power. But at the same time - yeah you're going to get weirdos and rape apologists. If that's too much to bear, that's completely understandable, too.

Anyway I'm not sure I managed to say anything new, but I hope you know I believe your experiences and how you've felt. I hope you know I'm angry on your behalf because you don't deserve to deal with any of the bullshit of how people treat you for it.

Summary of basic ass story

Sooo anyways, let’s say this happens like sometime after the T.o.p and like a month after the base game of fnf. Bf and Gf were chilling when Gf was notified about someone coming over temporarily because of an arrangement. Surprise, surprise, it’s Frieza. Everything was chill, at least till Bf did something stupid, yet Frieza was forced to put up with it. Little did the trio know that the date Frieza would leave was delayed indefinitely.

Meanwhile Frost somehow found his way to universe 7 (Look, when fnf is involved, anything can happen) and ran into the trio of Pico, Darnell, and Nene. Long story short, Frost was almost seriously injured before Pico stopped the attack. Seeing potential in the blue ice-jin, Pico partners up with Frost to help make his job easier to a degree.

I ended up talking WAY too long so I'm putting everything after the first one under the cut

all of us are dead- show about high schoolers as a zombie apocalypse starts. very funny and relatable, literally they call the police and are like 'have you seen train to busan?' bffrrn. has a lot of social commentary and there are references to the sinking of mc sewol (a cruise that sunk where the captain deserted it and left a large amount of high schoolers to drown). commentary about how adults save themselves first/leave youth to fend for themselves. one of my comfort shows and although they didn't intend for more seasons, it was received so well that they have been renewed! I am also an ot4 truther and sometimes talk about them on my international shows sideblog: @nam-on-jo

sweet home- (disclaimer: I am not caught up and have not yet seen s2 which came out a little while ago) honestly I have no idea how to explain this so I'm gonna copy-paste the blurb: as humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity. basically people turn into monsters for [redacted] reasons and everyone in his large apartment building is stuck inside trying to fend for their lives.

my name- I'm just going to paste the blurbs going forward because it's easier: Following her father's murder, a revenge-driven woman puts her trust in a powerful crime boss -- and enters the force under his direction. bro some of these twists I expected but others caught me off guard. I love the main character and am a little gay for her but I think that's valid because she's a bamf. there was a plot point at the end of the second to last episode that I really didn't like and made me very upset. narratively I get why they did it but it made me sad so I'm still pissy. might get around to writing a fix-it fic one day when motivation strikes because my girl deserves better things.

the guest- a detective, a catholic priest, and a psychic join forces to fight crime caused by supernatural forces. not to say they are my ot3 but they kinda are. (other ppl interpret it is a lesbian and her two bi/gay bffs which I also accept but. ot3 tho). LOVED every twist and turn and how the three of them go from not trusting one another to being family. genuinely one of my favorites from all the kdramas I've watched over the years and I want to rewatch it again soon

happiness (tvn)- The residents of a high-rise apartment fight for their lives against a deadly infectious disease while Sae-bom and Yi-hyun try to find the person because of whom the virus spread. bro I adored this. some characters annoyed me (which means they were written effectively) but it has so much. fake dating/marriage (they wanted a better apartment lmao). annoyances to lovers. mean/rude woman soft for sunshine man. what you will do for the people you love. morals and humanity during a catastrophy. *smacks show* you can fit so much into this. no but seriously, I thought this was a really interesting take on the zombie virus! so some of the time you come off completely asymptomatic and 'normal', so people can get away with acting normal and hiding the disease around other people, so the paranoia and mystery is REALLY amped up. had me guessing a LOT. sae-bom and yi-hyun are both cops/detectives and you find out really early (ep 1/2?) that sae-bom is immune which gives a really interesting dynamic that leaves her (to yi-hyun's exasperation and heightened blood pressure levels) to be kinda reckless in the pursuit of truth and salvation. I'm rambling now because this is making me watch to rewatch but yeah as a zombie/dystopia/apocalypse lover this was a good watch. it's more story-focused than violence-heavy which was a cool and refreshing twist

alice in borderland- okay y'all I am aware people had mixed feelings about s2 but overall I did enjoy the series. 'Obsessed gamer Arisu suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games in order to survive.' what can I say, I love a dystopian-esque setting.

the silent sea- imma be real, I only watched it for loml bae doona from sense8. 'During a perilous 24-hour mission on the moon, space explorers try to retrieve samples from an abandoned research facility steeped in classified secrets.' basically earth is in severe crisis mode as they run out of water to drink. water has recently been found on the moon, and although there was a mysterious tragedy that happened previously to researchers looking for water in a base on the moon, they have reached a level of desperation where they have another mission to look for moon water. mystery, paranoia, a couple of good twists ensue. I thought it was pretty good even though I have some mixed feelings about the open ending.

semantic error- yes I am sliding a bl into this list. bitch you thought. of course my bl-loving self would mention this (I forgot about it until I looked up good kdramas to remind myself of stuff I have watched). 'A strict, rule-abiding computer science major must work together with an artist with a polar-opposite personality to his.' confident cool boy meets bitch boy. it's great.

and of course...

leverage con artists- I would be fired from running this blog if I didn't mention the beloved korean spinoff of leverage. 'The series follows the story of Lee Tae-joon, a former insurance investigator who forms a team of thieves and con artists to target the rich and wealthy. The team was also formed to avenge Tae-joon's son's death.' I've posted about it before so I won't go super into it but it's VERY camp, a good time, and the ot3 is alive and well. debatable more overt than their predecessor!

I tried watching kingdom (again for bae doona) but couldn't really get into it. might try again later because it's critically acclaimed (I think) and has even gotten a spinoff series

my roommate really liked mr queen. I didn't really pay attention when we were in the same room and they were watching it but it's fruity

the island on amazon prime was good! interesting plot but not in my top 10 or anything. worth a watch if you're looking for a kdrama to watch in your spare time. features girlboss businesswoman being thrown into a world of the supernatural because [redacted]. supernatural black horse man keeps her safe while keeping a life-changing secret.

let's fight ghost was a thai show that I saw and loved that was adapted into a kdrama called bring it on ghost, but honestly I couldn't get through it because I liked the thai one better.

train to busan is technically a movie but it's iconic and well-known and I highly suggest watching it if you like zombie/apocalypse movies. disclaimer: kdramas do not have the slow 'walker' zombies. they are fucking fast and the stuff of my nightmares. would probably just jump off a bridge if this actually happened ngl

I did think that extraordinary attorney woo was cute. I never finished it and know that there are VERY valid criticisms about the perpetuation of media portraying people with autism in the stereotypical savant ways. however, I liked how the love interest accepted her for who she was, loved her because of who she was and made efforts to accommodate and learn how to comfort her in ways that would work for her

business proposal was pretty decent if you like lighthearted romance- I didn't finish it but would like to at some point
