"Charlie just slips on his accent sometimes" Factually true and correct.
"Jonathan watched Mary Poppins religiously as a toddler and used to speak in a full British accent" A whole lie but objectively funnier

‘Inside Bridgerton’ by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers
Genre: Adult Non-Fiction – Film/TV Published: 2022 Format: Hardback Rating: ★★★★ I was looking forward to this and getting some insight into the television series, specifically why they changed some things from the books I love so much. I was disappointed not to find out much about the adaptation from the books to the screen, mainly why the book is 4 stars rather than 5 stars. I’ve been…

Jaffar Mahmood: Director (rumored)
Tumblr media
Possible flashbacks of Sophie’s childhood: There are two actors who follow each other on IG that could be playing the Penwood (Arthur Lee) and young Sophie (Chloe Park: please do not repost her social media). Rumored young Sophie also follows Shondaland and Bridgerton IGs.
Sophie "Baek" background. Sophie has a Korean last name but we don't know if that's from her mother or something her dad made up. His last name was Gun (as far as I understand, also a Korean last name), but her stepsisters' last name is Chinese (Li).
Masquerade: Most likely in E1 because it's the season's first ball. It's the place where “attendees are encouraged to transform into whomever they choose”.
It seems that Benedict arrives late to the masquerade ball.
Benophie dance lesson is switched from the terrace to inside a gazebo. One of Sophie's gloves is *involved*. We still don't know how but probably as in the book (i.e. Cinderella's shoe). Sophie's dress is regency style. Benedict's costume is all black or dark brown.
Lake scene. Since both Yerin and Luke have already talked about this I think it's safe to say it will be the big talking point in the season's promo with the Masquerade.
There will be a Xiangqi game, a popular Chinese board game.
Benedict's bachelor place: Confirmed thanks to the designer's mood boards on Pinterest).
Kilmartin Estate in Scotland will also be featured (also from the designer's mood boards in Pinterest).
Both Li sisters will debut at the same time.
Rosamund is vain and Araminta's favorite. She tries to win Benedict, who is "the ton’s most eligible (if totally reluctant) bachelor".
Posy is kinder, chatty, overly friendly and socially embarrassing. According to Wei, Posy goes “on a nice journey” throughout the season.
Leung: Araminta is fabulous, discerning, blunt and does "not respond well when anything -or anyone- threatens her standing in society". She is a "mother-slash-villain" and would “never call her evil because I adore her – I think she’s absolutely fabulous. She’s just heavily misunderstood”. She is also "feeling the pressure to get at least one of her girls married of" and “chemes to marry off one… to Benedict Bridgerton”.
Leung said Araminta’s costumes “are something else”.
Eloise, Francesca and John return to London, specifically to Bridgerton house.
According to Andoh, there is a garden party in E1 or E2. Not sure if Danbury is hosting that party.
The Demimonde is back. We have seen the Demimonde in Granville's parties in S1.
The story most likely begins in spring (social season's time) but there will be a time jump to autumn. There are leaked photos of the Bridgerton house with changing seasons. In an interview, Brownell mentioned how this will “open the Bridgerton world: this could mean the autumn, the countryside or the working class with a main character (or all three at the same time).”
Tumblr media
Benedict will begin the season "aimless" and "loveless". Despite "his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, [he] is loathe to settle down"
Benedict’s fluidity will be explored.
Sophie doesn't know how to dance.
Ha: Sophie "craves and yearns for love despite all of her trauma and neglect". She is "a victim of tragic circumstances" and "has trouble trusting others". She has "been forced to work as a maid for one of the most demanding employers in the ton… [but] her resourcefulness helps her persevere".
Thompson: Benedict is "a man of many interests, and that’s great in some ways, and in some ways, though, can betray a sense of being lost or a little bit restless. And that goes quite deep… There is clearly something in him that’s not very comfortable, a bit scared or a bit worried about the idea of really committing to something. And that’s partly the struggle".
Sophie's decision to disguise herself in order to attend the masquerade will be "risky". This probably means they are following the part of the book where Araminta throws her out into the street after the ball.
We'll see a "shift" in Benedict when he meets a "mysterious lady in silver". He will "find himself on the hunt for Sophie".
Sophie is not "like the debutantes that usually populate Bridgerton". There is a "sincerity of her face".
Love at first sight trope confirmed: Sophie's decision also means that "both lives [hers and Benedicts] are forever changed" after the ball. Ha described it as "prismatic… when the light comes in and then it goes into a rainbow".
Ha: The season will be an "emotional tug of war, this kind of push and pull between what their hearts desire and what society desires for them".
Thompson: Also a "struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale -the romance of it- and the actual reality of the world… both are true. You have to hold both of them -the romance and the reality- in your hand. In its best version, 'true love' happens in the middle of that".
Sophie will struggle with her own mask because of the "battle of social status" or when she is "trying to hide her feelings from Benedict".
Upper and lower class trope: Confirmed. Ha: "It is the first time we really see the upper and lower class come together this season… My character is someone who constantly has her guard up. She… is always reminded of her place and doesn’t dream of more than her station as a maid. However, she is human after all, and craves that human-to-human love and connection. And it’s not until she meets Benedict that she slowly lets her guard down, bit by bit, and starts to create space to let love flow in for her."

✨Photocheer Princess Diaries AU ✨
THIS AU IS GENIUS EMPRESSS~
Okay, so....
I think Jonathan would have to be Mia/the secret heir to the Genovian throne. Our outcast emo boy with an eccentric single mom? Works perfectly here~ he'd get a little style makeover (a proper haircut at least lol)!
Chrissy would be his best friend's twin sister, whose been totally crushing on him in secret for years. He's completely oblivious to it because she seems like she'd only be into preppier things since she's in cheer and loves pop music. But she loves his down to earthness, his art, and the way he talks about the world needing change.
Jonathan would really struggle with the transition toward his royal lessons. Having lived on the line of poverty most of his life, the frivolity of these etiquette rules seem ridiculous and out-of-touch with how real people live. This tension would come to a head with his grandmother (Has to still be Julie Andrew bc she's an actual queen, sorry lol) and they'd argue over its relevance.
Joe, the security guard, would still be very paternal and protective of Jonathan. I think it would be actually lovely for him to finally have that male figurehead look out for him rather than always being the responsible one.
annnnd finally back to the romance, Jonathan would have had a minor crush on Carol. Once it gets out there that he's a prince, all the relationship dynamics would shift! He'd have to sacrifice time he'd normally spend with his bestfriend and Chrissy for lessons and events, but also be tempted when his own crush starts inviting him out to parties he's never been invited to before. Carol takes advantage of his position to kiss him on camera for her 15 minutes of fame, upsetting Chrissy and disappointing his grandmother. In the midst of deciding whether or not to renounce his title, he ultimately persuades his grandmother that their country needs royalty that can understand them and relate to them and they host a ball in his honor where he invites the Cunninghams with a sincere apology. Eventually Chrissy does show in a stunning gown where they dance together and escape to a little garden and have a confessional heart to heart about their feelings for each other:))
omg I'm so tempted to smoothen these details out empress....what have you done........
send me a ship and an au

'Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Scott are on the prowl for their first-ever collaborative project.
Over the last few years, the two acting talents have captivated pop culture enthusiasts with incredible performances and their dreamy good looks.
Scott, who rose to fame with roles on Sherlock (2010-2017) and Fleabag (2019), was recently lauded for his work in the LGBTQIA+ romantic drama All Of Us Strangers (2023), and has since starred in Ripley and the audio erotica series The Queen’s Guard (both 2024)...
While Scott and Bailey have expertly crafted their own lanes in the entertainment sphere, the two talents are reportedly interested in working together.
In a recent interview for Bailey’s British Vogue feature, Scott revealed that he and the 36-year-old were on the lookout for a project to collaborate on.
“The search for us to be in the right thing together is on. Bert and Ernie, the movie is the frontrunner, it just depends on who’s willing to shave off their eyebrows,” he teased.
In addition to chatting about their potential film or TV crossover, Scott gushed about Bailey’s meteoric rise within the industry and their close-knit friendship.
“There’s a big wonderful tribe of friends in London to which we both belong,” he explained to the publication.
“As well as being the most charismatic and gifted performer, he’s always struck me as someone who adores and prioritises his friends, and family and loved ones. That counts for so much in my book. It’s so wonderful to watch Jonny soar.”
While we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Bailey and Scott to appear in a film or TV show together, their friendship has already broken the internet.
Back in November, social media was thrown into disarray when a photo of the two actors alongside Matt Bomer and Paul Mescal – went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the dreamy snapshot, the four hunky acting talents were featured smiling in front of a balcony wearing stylish ensembles.
Of course, the All of Us Strangers and Fellow Travelers crossover was an immediate hit with fans, with many sharing hilarious and thirsty reactions.
In July 2024, Bailey and Scott made waves again when they used their well-defined biceps to carry Kylie Minogue to her BST Hyde Park concert.
It’s safe to say that a potential film or TV series starring the two talents would be a hit with fans.'

Cornley as Classic Christmas Songs
NB: I am counting “Classic” as up to 1965
Annie: “I'll Be Home For Christmas”
Released in 1943 by Bing Crosby, the song was written from the perspective of a WWII soldier who was overseas thinking about his family back home, and wishing he could be with them for the holiday.
Other famous artist who have covered the song include Johnny Mathis, Elvis Presley, and Josh Groban.
Chris: “Please Come Home For Christmas”
Originally written and recorded in 1960, it hit the Billboard Top 100 in '61; made popular by The Eagles in '78
I am linking The Eagles version because I do think it's the most iconic, personally, and it's one of my favorite Christmas songs.
Dennis: “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”
Written in 1943, Judy Garland sang it in 1944 for Meet Me in St. Louis.
Frank Sinatra covered the song in 1948 with the original lyrics, and then again in 1957 with more upbeat lyrics — the second version, I would argue, is the better-known.
Jonathan: “Here Comes Santa Claus”
The song was recorded (and partially written by) Gene Autry after being inspired by his riding a horse in the Santa Claus Lane Parade, now called the Hollywood Christmas Parade.
The song has been covered by so many artists, including Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Andrews Sisters.
Lucy: “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree”
Written and recorded in 1958, Brenda Lee was only thirteen-years-old at the time, though her voice does sound much older.
It's not a favorite of mine, but it has that youthful quality that I associate Lucy with.
Max: “Let It Snow”
Written in July of 1945, despite not mentioning any specific holiday, the song has become associated with Christmas due to its winter theme.
The two most popular versions of this classic are by Frank Sinatra (recorded in 1950) and by Dean Martin (recorded in 1959). I've linked the Sinatra version because of the big band element to it.
Robert: “Baby, It's Cold Outside”
Originally written in 1944 by Frank Loesser to sing at parties with his wife Lynn Garland, it wasn't until 1949 that the song was a widespread hit, featuring in the film Neptune's Daughter.
The song was written during a time when it was seen as improper for a single woman to stay over at a bachelor's overnight. The call and response style is a way of him expressing his fears about the weather, and her going, “Well, looks like I'm here for the night! ~~Oh, no~~ ;)”.
Sandra: “The Christmas Song”
Originally written in 1945 by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé, the song was recorded by the Nat King Cole trio the next year.
In 1961, the U.S. Library of Congress selected the song to preserved for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
Trevor: “I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm”
Written in 1937 during the big band era of jazz, the song was covered in 1959 with the same sort of big band style by Dean Martin, which is my favorite version.
The song has also been covered by people like Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Bette Midler among others.
Vanessa: “White Christmas”
Originally written sometime in the early-1940's by Irving Berlin, the orignial Bing Crosby version is the most popular one of the tune.
The song was written for the Christmas movie Holiday Inn (1942) starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.
