The Mega Mattress Company that I just rejoined is currently in the process of getting sold to a Mega Mattress Manufacturer. Isn’t that a conflict of interests, you ask? A monopoly, perhaps? Yes, yes it is, and the Federal Trade Commission said fuck that noise.

So the company is suing the FTC for the right to get sold so they can avoid their mountains of debt and we just got an email confirming that if the sale goes through we’re selling 73 locations to a competitor so we can pretend we’re not a monopoly.

Now I get to look forward to finding out if there’s layoffs in the coming weeks. I thought I’d be spared the drama if I waited to get into the games industry but apparently layoffs come for us all.

Sorry if this is something I've missed before, but what kind of villainous weaponry do the guys pack/used to be packing?

this is an interesting one cause I really was just thinking about this recently! Buck and Davey are an unusual case for villains of their caliber/notoriety, because unlike a lot of other villains that'd be considered "on par" with them, they're really more... performers, in a way? Buck in particular has a lot of "weaponry" built into his mech that's either purely for show (ie. Big Ol Gunz that basically just flash and make sound and don't fire anything, like something you'd see at a theme park) or only incidentally a weapon/built for other purposes (ie. big buzzsaws that LOOK like they'd be weapons, but are actually more for cutting through blockades or breaking into buildings). Everything he uses is designed to put on a big, scary show that makes him LOOK super villainous and dangerous with minimal actual injuries or casualties beyond property damage.

Davey, on the other hand, is the combat guy, but very similarly is operating mostly with the intent to intimidate and incapacitate, and his expertise is in hand-to-hand, so his tech's built around that. Before he worked with Buck his gear was what I can only describe as "what if moon shoes and rock-em-sock-em gloves were Evil Junk Tech", basically working to let him move faster and hit harder. Now his big junk prosthetic is more or less fulfilling the same purpose, though he's also able to load scrap into the blender and use it to shoot projectiles - mostly he uses that if they're being pursued by vehicles, or if they get into a scrap with one of those annoying Bulletproof Superheroes that need a li'l something extra on top of Punch In The Face.

While I think the admins will see the fandom appreciation for Fred and make them a positive figure regardless of any previous plans, with the current situation between Bad, Tubbo, Fred and Ron, I think it would be a really cool twist if the letters with Fred are a manipulation, either by the Federation higher ups, or by Fred themselves.

The Federation have manipulated people through messages before, so the idea that the letters were discovered but then continued by someone else under the pretense of being Fred isn't impossible to imagine (look at what happened with Cellbit and the code sword research). There is also the possibility that the letters may have never come from Fred in the first place.

But Fred could also be doing the manipulation as well, because Fred is an A rank worker. They don't get that rank for nothing, they get that rank for conforming more than the B-D workers, for being less unique, for aligning more with the Federation's design and values (something, it is worth noting, that Bad knows about because of what Ron told him, but Tubbo doesn't know because the books he found mention nothing about that). So who is to say Fred wasn't told to keep in contact, and followed this order without issue to see what info they could get from one of the islands newest troublemakers?

Fred did show them the maze, which appears to have given the islanders access to more info on the Federation which you would assume they wouldn't want, but the Federation also tasked Jaiden to clear the Bluebird Dungeon, another old Federation facility which also gave them more information. So, it is still possible...

I don't know, I just think it would be a really cool twist on it's own, but also at the moment Tubbo does not fear the Federation, and it would be impactful for him to be shown how they can manipulate, control, and harm people (or make them 'fall in line', as Cucurucho said about Tubbo to Jaiden). It would also just be such an angsty twist that in an attempt to help what he saw as an innocent Federation worker (Fred), Tubbo was being manipulated and instead threw another innocent victim (Ron) into harms way. That the kidnapper was the one who was actually keeping the innocent person safe, and the person who tried to help his friend actually caused them harm? THE DRAMA!

Girl like. The reason he said "this is how it should be" and faced death with a smile....is cuz he wanted to die. For 2 years he sat there thinking he was worthless and deserved to die. If he hadn’t be shot, his death would’ve been suicide, he was fully planning to die in a gutter somewhere undetected. When saying "this is how it should be" hes literally saying "don’t cry because I’m dying, my death is a good thing actually because I fucking suck and you are better off without me". I don’t think that’s badass even slightly, it’s actually really sad and really shitty. Shinjiro is so convinced that he deserves to die and hates the idea of anyone giving a shit about him because he literally can’t wrap his mind around the idea that he will be missed when he’s gone, that his death is a bad thing actually. And his last words were meant to be comforting because he fully did not intend for anyone to be there when he died, he intended to die alone, so he says them as a reminder that he’s not worth crying over

Personally, if it were me, if I was holding my dying best friend in my arms who was deeply depressed and suicidal and he said "this is how it should be" uh. I wouldn’t admire him for it??? Carmilla would take her responsibility as Carmi & Charlie's godmother very, very seriously. Not to mention that Lilith would love the olive branch of inviting Sinners in to be such a vital importance to the Morningstars, and what more perfect choices than the oldest Overlord, Zestial, and one of the most level-headed Overlords in the City, Carmilla, who also happens to be a mother? Both are very logic-oriented folk, sound, civil, who seek to keep Heaven off their damned doorstep.

Carmilla and Zestial really fit in as the quiet Godparents for the Throne. It fits wonderfully actually ksdfkasdf. I love that a lot.

I know Carmilla was hurting with those two when the news broke of the Incident. I know she was there at the Palace the first moment she was able, and Zestial likely in tow. Keeping their distance from the raging and fiery, grieving King, but being informed of Carmi's 'death' by Lilith, who would tell them that all they had left now was Charlotte.

Carmilla being this unwavering presence in Charlie's life, but both not exactly seeing eye-to-eye due to the fact that Carmilla is the holy weapons dealer, but there is probably no doubt in how grounding and helpful she can be, especially after Lilith vanishes, and Carmilla becomes a somewhat regular person in Charlie's life, perhaps?

Before they had moved from their old mansion, he had met Jon, a tenacious companion who seemed to attach himself to Sherlock more persistently than the rest. They became best friends, but after his mother's passing, Mycroft took Sherlock away from the mansion Jon inhabited, leaving Sherlock to never see him again.

Curious over seeking the truth behind his mother's passing, it was discovered that perhaps she hadn't succumbed to a simple mental illness. A dairy left behind revealed that she shared many a similar experience as Sherlock: The many imaginary friends she thought to have had, being blamed for the doings of said imaginary friends, and reportedly speaking to thin air when she insisted someone stood beside her.

Further research proved fruitful when the discovery of a special tool that had been gifted to his mother, one left abandoned and long ago forgotten in the attic above: A camera that was said capable of capturing the images of the dead.

It was hard to deny any of it as truth.

Not when Jon suddenly came back into his life, proving that perhaps there was more to the mystery than Mycroft had let on.
