Here's have some Satosugu family stupidity. This is mostly just humour/crack fic because I needed a little break today. Hope you enjoy!
5 conversations Megumi Fushiguro overheard that he wished he hadn't.
Megumi Fushiguro loves his family, friends and boyfriend. He also hates all of them and thinks they should be the ones to pay for his therapy. Here are the things he has been made to hear with his own two ears over the course of one week.
1. The Todo Incident.
Todo mimed rudely with his right hand, his left hand holding his soft drink.
“Bro seriously if you sit on your hand it totally feels like it's a different person. Granted you should do both hands if you want the full package involved though.”
Yuji sighed “Number 1 no it doesn't, 2 stop telling me these things and 3 I don't even need this information!!” He hissed, pulling Todo’s arm down to stop him making the gesture.
Todo stared at him and then at Megumi and then erupted into applause wiping his eyes and hugging his friend, telling him how proud of him he was. He put his hand on Megumi's shoulder and congratulated him on his willpower and relationship, remarking that he had seen what his brother was working with and Megumi was truly strong in spirit for taking on that challenge. Megumi bent his finger back nearly breaking it and told him to never speak to him nor touch him again if he wanted to keep the other fingers.
2. The downfalls of understanding Riceball language.
Toge sat beside Yuta and leant his head on his shoulder before looking up at him, a gentle smile on his face.
Yuta smiled back. “I missed this. It's nice getting to hang out together in person again isn't it?”
Toge: Salmon, salmon, tuna mayo. (It was nicer getting to spend the morning in bed together with your dick in my throat)
Yuta coughed turning red. Megumi stared off to the side pretending he hadn't understood that.
Yuji stared at all of them. “Aw man did Toge say something funny again? I gotta get my head around that speech of his, it's so cool.
Megumi shook his head.
3. Not even safe at home.
Gojo walked into the kitchen and took his shirt off sitting next to his husband.
“Baby you are not gonna BELIEVE the size of the spot on my back”
Geto put his book down looking interested “bigger than the one on your thigh the other day?”
Gojo nodded "for sure!” He sat facing away from his partner. “Go slow though please it's gonna sting like a bitch I just know it”
Geto sighed and squeezed at his back and popped it. He showed Gojo how much was on his finger.
“Woah there was so much!” Geto said.
“Told you!” Gojo said. “Ooooh you know I'm kind of in a mood to be pampered, think you can do my eyebrows later, like tweezing them?” Gojo said, leaning his head back onto his partner's lap.
Geto smiled “Ok baby, and wanna do face masks like last time?”
Gojo nodded and clapped his hands together happily.
Megumi shut the fridge door behind them.
“Sometimes I think it would be less gay if I walked in on you two actually fucking” he said and took his coke upstairs.
“Oh go kiss your boyfriend you homophobe!” Gojo yelled after him, Geto laughed.
4. Girl talk
“No lube, no protection, all night all day, from the kitchen floor to the toilet seat, from the dining table to the church, from the front porch to the balcony, vertically, horizontally, quadratic, while i gasp for air and scream the lord’s prayer, he can have me!!!!” Nanako wailed at the TV lying on the floor pretending to claw at the screen watching the new Jungkook video again for the 15th time.
“He is pretty cute,” Tsumiki smiled.
“He could spit on my face and I'd thank him,” Mimiko sighed.
Megumi looked down at his salad and threw it in the bin deciding to only visit the kitchen when he was sure no one else was there.
5. Couples counselling
“Look I get it, I know you have an image to maintain but can we please just talk about it” Nobara said following Maki who sighed and stood up ahead.
“No, can we please just drop it”
“It's ok to be embarrassed but honestly I think it's really cute you're always the little spoon! I'm sorry I called myself your jetpack!”
“Panda is never gonna let me live this down,” Maki said. “And you can stop smirking too!” She yelled pointing her staff at Megumi who raised his hands and backed away going down the other way through the corridor.

Thinking about how Naoya Zenin came in like 5th or 6th place in that one JJK popularity poll and how funny it is because literally no other character is as much of a loser as he is in the entire series, not just in personality but in like actual fights too. Loses to Choso because he underestimated him and needs to get healed by Yuta in his first showing, literally gets stabbed in the back with a regular ass knife by a middle aged lady and bleeds out on the floor, and then loses again against Maki as a cursed spirit. His loser energy is so strong it prevents him from getting a single win in the entire series.
#i'd love to know why he was ranked so high because he really doesn't seem popular in western audiences#i think he's a well written villain but he's also imo the least likeable out of all of them#naoya zenin#maki zenin#jjk#jujutsu kaisen

the cursed twin AU where Shiki dies and becomes a cursed spirit is amazing. Also it’s kind of ironic, isn’t it? In the jujutsu world it was considered an ill omen for twins to be born, since they would be considered one person and the power would be split…
and yet, arguably, a Gojo Satoru who’s lived his entire life with cursed spirit Gojo Shiki is significantly more powerful than a Gojo Satoru who lived on and Shiki who stayed dead
With the Six Eyes and Limitless, Gojo Satoru was unkillable
With cursed spirit Shiki by his side, Gojo Satoru could kill anything
Together, they were the strongest “existence” in the jujutsu world (albeit no one was strong enough to force Shiki into showing herself because Satoru was usually enough to curb stomp everything, Toji being an exception)
It could be argued that even with an alive!Shiki, Satoru would be doing off waaaay better because he’d not be having everything on his shoulders alone… Even if the twin thing applied, the logic is that even if Gojo Satoru and Gojo Shiki are weaker, it doesn’t mean that the enemies are ANY stronger than him or Shiki - similar to a quote that Accelerator from Magic Index says. Gojo Satoru will still be unkillable, and Gojo Shiki will still be able to kill anything (even concepts).
So yes. I’m a firm believer of Satoru + Shiki >>>> whatever the fuck the Gojo Clan was on 🙄
Exactly! The whole thing about twins being two lesser halves of a whole is just
(Shakes fist)
Technically it's a part of the setting in JJK though, I think. Since we see that example with Mai and Maki, and how Maki only fully reaches the level of Toji's Heavenly Restriction after Mai dies, taking all the cursed energy between them with her.
So in context of the twins AU here, if Shiki had lived... Satoru and Shiki would each have lesser reserves of cursed energy to draw on. However, ability-wise their cursed techniques and cursed eyes would remain unchanged, which is really more than enough for them to curbstomp anything that comes their way.
Unfortunately, that's not how events unfolded and twin-Shiki was killed for existing. D:

People only like Toji because he's attractive
I saw a comment on Tik Tok saying something along those lines and honestly it didn't sit right with me.
Of course, people are free to have their own opinion and you don't have to like Toji, but I believe that there is much more to his character.
So this is a post where I talk about the things that I personally appreciate about Toji Fushiguro. We'll start simple and get deeper as we go on. So strap yourselves in because this is going to be a long one.
Spoilers for the upcoming season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
First let me start by saying that yes,
Toji is indeed very attractive
Look at this fine specimen of a man. No wonder the fandom goes crazy for him.
His design is certainly aesthetically pleasing. The worm curling around his body and the tight shirt and baggy pants he's wearing emphasize his muscles and tiny waist making your eyes run all over him. His black hair falls on his handsome face nicely and the scar on his lips draws attention to it and adds a little bit of spice, just enough to tie this whole meal together.
He is built like a snack and boy am I hungry!
But enough about his looks. Looks isn't the only thing he has to offer.
Toji has a superhuman body
Similarly to Maki, Toji is affected by Heavenly Restriction. His body is incredibly strong and fast and in exchange he possesses no cursed energy. But he doesn't even need cursed energy to see curses, because his senses are just that sharp and enhanced! He truly is an anomaly and if the jujutsu society recognised his potential instead of abusing him for being different, he would definitely be classified as a special grade sorcerer.
Dude's a beast so he makes any battle that he takes part in fun and exciting to watch. He also had some interesting matchups allowing him to show off how skilled he is as a fighter.
We got to see him battle with Gojo,Geto and a disaster curse, all of them considered special grade and he won all but one of his encounters with them. However, that one loss was from the second battle with Gojo AKA the strongest sorcerer alive, who he almost killed on their first one, so that shows how superior his combat skills can really be.
But Toji doesn't only depend on his body to do the work.
Toji is smart
When tasked with the mission to kill Riko Amanai, instead of charging in right away, he simply sits and waits while others try their hand on the assassination.
But why is Toji waiting?
It's because he knows that Gojo is protecting this girl and he knows what he is capable off, so he chose to take things slow. By putting the money reward for the job on the internet and offering it to anyone who was successful in killing the target, he ensured that the protection squad would be constantly on edge. He even put a time limit on the offer to deceive them into believing that they only needed to be careful for a certain amount of time. As a result, when the time limit had passed and the group let their guard down Toji striked by putting a sword through Gojo's chest, an attack that would be lethal if it weren't faced with such a strong opponent.
He also took advantage of the fact that his lack of cursed energy makes him invisible to the security system of Jujutsu High and to the sorcerers around him. He made sure that his first strike against Gojo was with a normal sword and switched to a cursed tool when the surprise attack didn't work.
But where did that tool come from? And if it has cursed energy wouldn't it be detected?
Well that's where the worm comes in....
So basically, in order to keep the advantage of being invisible due to the lack of cursed energy and to always have weapons available, Toji keeps this cursed spirit on his stomach and whenever he needs something he simply vomits it out and does his thing. Kinda gross but very effective.
Honestly it's terrifying how this man can use his body and anything else that is available to quickly come up with a strategy to kick your ass. Being his opponent must be a total nightmare since Toji is brutal and cares only about one thing and that is money.
Or maybe there is something more........
Toji cares about his family
Now I know what you're going to say and I agree.
Toji is a terrible father.
Not only did he abandon his son but he also sold him to the Zenins. That ain't exactly father of the year material. Despite this, there are moments that show that he loves his family.
One of those moments is when he recalls Megumi and that he was the one who named him. I refuse to believe that Toji woke up and chose a random name for his son, especially since Megumi means Blessing so he must have put some thought into it.
Additionally, in his dying moments he thought about his son and his wife and it was obvious that it's a memory that's dear to him. At first he chose to not say anything when asked about his last words, but changed his mind when he remembered Megumi, informing Gojo that he will be sold in the Zenin family and to do with that as he pleases. That ensured Gojo taking Megumi under his care and protection.
Another moment is when Toji is back as a mindless puppet in Shibuya, fighting purely on instinct the strongest person in the room and when that person happened to be Megumi he froze, his eyes literally softening at the sight of his boy and he regained control long enough to ask a question and then kill himself to ensure that he won't bring him any more harm.
But wait, you may ask, if he cares this much about Megumi why did he abandon and sell him?
Well the answer to that is a simple but sad one.
Toji is a broken man
Toji is a Zenin, a member of one of the most important clans in jujutsu society. But because he was born with no cursed energy he was abused by the family and left it completely unstable.
Look at this panel. His eyes look so empty and tired. This was before he left from the clan and started to work as an assassin.
However, even while he was away from this toxic environment, the damage had been done. Toji definitely had issues regarding his self-worth. He kept trying to prove that someone like him can be strong and defeat sorcerers. He referred to himself as a ''useless monkey who can't even use jujutsu''. He kept saying while selling his son that unlike him, his son had potential since he had a cursed technique.
And in the end, in the battle that led to his death, instead of fleeing, he chose to stay and fight because he was facing Gojo and being able to crush him, the strongest sorcerer alive, would discredit the society that deemed him worthless.
His trauma caused him to ignore his survival instincts and led to his demise.
This trauma was also the reason why he abandoned and sold Megumi. When he met his wife, Toji was able to calm down and become a bit more stable. He loved and really cared about this woman. But she died soon after Megumi was born, leaving Toji once again unstable but with a baby in his care.
At this point, his issues about his worth once again kicked in and he probably felt that he wouldn't be able to raise his son properly. So he sold him to the Zenin family, promising them that the kid would develop a good cursed technique and asking them to take care of him. In his mind, the place that he grew up would be better for Megumi since he had potential.
I'm guessing that before dying he realised that that environment would still be bad even for Megumi so he told Gojo about the deal maybe because he was hopeful that Gojo would help the kid. And of course that's exactly what happened.
So when Toji appears once again in Shibuya and comes face to face with Megumi he asks him a simple question.
What's your name?
And when Megumi replied with Fushiguro instead of Zenin I'm sure that that made Toji feel happy and relieved.
All of this of course doesn't excuse any of his actions but it certainly explains them.
And all of his actions had some effect on the story.
Toji is an important part of the plot
Before he even appears in the anime, Toji has already made his impact. He was considered an anomaly and his mere existence was bound to affect the story in some way.
There were so many moments where we see how he affected it.
By almost killing Gojo, he made him realise his full potential and become the strongest.
By killing Riko Amanai, he caused Geto's spiral and existential crisis leading him to leave Jujutsu High and become a villain, only to later die and have his body used by Kenjaku for his big plan.
By killing Riko Amanai, he also stopped the merging with Master Tengen, something that had massive consequences and would be taken advantage of by Kenjaku in the future.
By telling Gojo about Megumi, he caused Gojo to take him under his protection, training him and raising him with much more care that the Zenin family ever would.
All of these moments are vital.
All of them caused by him.
Toji was an important piece to the whole puzzle of this story and without him Jujutsu Kaisen would not be complete.
And just like that, we have reached the end.
Once again I'd like to say that you can believe whatever you want about Toji but simply reducing him to just an attractive character is a bit of a disservice to him, no?
Apologies for the chaotic writing I have way too many thoughts and can't articulate them properly.
Thank you to anyone who has read this far <3

Ayesha Liveblogs Jujutsu Kaisen S2
Based on people's foreboding comments I have rarely been so certain a show was about to hurt my feelings. But here we are, ready to be hurt again LMAO
"No one else understands what cursed spirits taste like." Do you think Geto is obsessed with converting Yuji because he's the only other person in the world who eats curses
I wasn't expecting the Utahime and Mei flashback but I do enjoy it
"I don't need that, but you do, right?" Is the implication here that Mei's technique give her impeccable night vision. What is with all these Jujutsu Eyes
Are we going to see ALL the teachers' generation as kids? I have never been listening more in my life. TELL ME MORE:
However, the fact the subtitle of this arc is "Premature Death" probably doesn't bode well for my feelings
"Satoru, it's not nice to pick on the weak." "What kind of idiot picks on the strong?" A terrible but fair point, Gojo
I didn't really recognize Ieiri in the intro so I'm really, really glad to hear that the Female Teammate of Gojo and Geto is not Super Dead LMAO
"Jujutsu exists to protect non-jujutsu sorcerers." I know they're just playing basketball but I am giggling and kicking my feet. I loooove a backstory. Also: Geto you certainly had quite a turn, didn't you?
"You should be more polite and humble," said Geto to Gojo, in a lesson that the latter would never learn, ever, in his life
Given that someone has to die, I'm placing my bets on Star-Vessel-Gal-That-I-Bet-You-$5-Someone's-Going-To-Fall-in-Love-With
"I'm not a Zen'in anymore. I took my wife's name. It's Fushiguro now." YOU MEAN THAT GUY PEOPLE KEEP LUSTING AFTER IS MEGUMI'S DAD????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. OH NOOOOOOOO. THAT'S SO FUNNY FOR MEGUMI, HAVING AN EVIL, FUCKABLE DAD
"How's Megumi doing?" "Who's that?" ISN'T HE A TODDLER RN? What a terrible father kjnhgghg. We knew, but wow
"Tengen-sama is me, and I am Tengen-sama." I love that Tengen, Mysterious Keeper of Jujutsu Barriers, is in his mini-skirt era
"I wish I could share my senses with [cursed spirits] like Mei-san does." Well, that explains her impeccable night vision. I sort of forgot that she's also a human surveillance camera
Ahhhh so I guess Riko's like 13 to their 16? Maybe they won't fall in love after all
"Riko, you have a boyfriend?" HAHAHAHA this is the school drama shenanigans I was hoping for
"I failed!" There something endearing about Gojo learning how to control his techniques
HAHAHAHA they're not going to explain the cutaway to the beach????? Hello???????
"I still don't have much recollection of being attacked." Ah, so it was to resolve the kidnapping situation for Kuroi with immediate success
OH MY GOD, I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE NANAMI EITHER. LOOK AT HIIMMMMMMMMM. I did not peg him as a long-hair boy:
Also also also. Just based on his place in the OP, I like Nanami's little friend. I do think he must be Super Dead though
"You haven't released your technique since yesterday, have you? You haven't slept either. And you don't plan to sleep tonight, do you? Are you sure we don't need to go back to Jujutsu High?" This arc is I think what is going to make me love Gojo. I like him well enough, but there's a sincerity here that's getting me. Gojo who tries and fails at new techniques and runs himself ragged to give a dying girl her beach day
"Have we met before?" said Gojo, like Megumi's evil DILF father did not have a sword through his chest
"Never before or after that, had anyone noticed me standing behind them." Hey quick question. What the fuck does that mean?
Ohhhh, Maki and Megumi's Dad have the same No Cursed Energy Condition. It's like a reverse Kekkei Genkai
HOW DID BEING SLASHED THROUGH HIS WHOLE TORSO FROM THE NECK ON NOT KILL GOJO DEAD?
"No matter what decision you make, we will guarantee your future." Geto and Gojo deciding before even meeting her they'll fight Curse Wizard God to give Riko her autonomy!!!! That's the Jujutsu High spirit I know 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Update from two minutes later: Rest in pieces, Riko-chan
Geto said: You have actually activated my trauma response, which is unrestrained manslaughter
Ggjkglgjlgkjg Megumi's Dad said: Looks like you brought curses to a gun fight!
Not to poke holes in this monologue, but doesn't changing the size of a cursed spirit require cursed energy?? I feel like this is such a loosey-goosey structure for what is and isn't cursed energy
"I've already decided I'll only see you either for work or in Hell." I want this to be my email signature
Megumi 🤝 His Dad: Accusing your opponent of being high when they act weird
"One, the power to stop: The neutral application of the Limitless technique. Two, the power to attract: the amplified application of the Limitless technique, Blue. And three, the power to repel: the reversal of his cursed technique, Red." Thank you for laying it all out Mr. Megumi's Dad because I would've taken a long time to get there myself. Also does this mean Gojo is like a giant magnet
"Two or three years from now, my kid will be sold off to the Zen'in clan. Do what you will with that." RIP Megumi's Hot, Evil Dad, who I guess didn't sell him? Or pre-sold him? That part's unclear. Also I can't believe Gojo killed Megumi's Dad and then adopted him. And then DIDN'T TELL HIM HE WAS DEAD. GOJO, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
(Assuming this actually killed him, that is. He is missing like, a third of his body. Seems pretty fatal.)
Also, after all that, I have finally learned from the episode description his name is (was?) Toji. If they said it, I missed it!
"Does there really need to be any point to [killing people]?" "It's very important that there is. Especially for a jujutsu sorcerer." Geto being the constant voice of reason implies something incredibly drastic must happen to him
Also: I guess GOJO's trauma response is unrestrained manslaughter
"Are you Geto-kun? What kind of woman is your type?" You mean to tell me that the lady who turned Todo into whatever he is has been menacing people for generations??? LMAO
"Rather than hunt down cursed spirits, I want to create a world where cursed spirits aren't born." Tsukumo coming in with some hot takes on Jujutsu Society it seems
"If all of mankind were jujutsu sorcerers, curses wouldn't be born." Is Geto in the present trying to, force all of society to become jujutsu sorcerers by making a curse-dominant society, thereby eventually making everyone equipped to deal with cursed energy, and eventually starving the curses out? What a weird, terrible, backwards plan. Incredible. Tell me more!!!
"Just keep culling non-sorcerers and force them to adapt into sorcerers as a survival strategy." Why do all anime roads lead to metaphors for geno-[LOUD FOGHORN NOISE]
"But unfortunately, I'm not crazy enough to do that." Geto said: No problem, I am!!!!
I was correct, Nanami's Nice Friend Haibara is in fact Super Dead
It is funny that they make out Geto's descent into madness and [GUNSHOT NOISE] being triggered by people being violent towards the youth, considering he spent the whole first season plotting ways to torture teenagers
"So, you're just going to kill everyone who's not a sorcerer? Even your parents?!" "I can't allow my parents to be a special exception." Alright, Anti-Establishment Itachi, chill out
Ahhhhhhh, poor Gojo, unable to kill or reason with his friend:
Geto said: I will raise you adopting Megumi and ADOPT TWO TRAUMATIZED CHILDREN, GOJO. BEAT THAT!
"About this dad of yours. I ki--" "I don't care." OH MY GOD MEGUMI. ALSO. GOJO. HE'S FIVE, YOU COULD'VE TRIED A LITTLE HARDER TO TELL HIM
"If I go [to the Zen'in clan] will Tsumiki be able to find happiness? It all depends on that." MEGUMI HAS BEEN SELFLESS HIS WHOLE LIFE
I do love the very normal but realistic dialogue of Nobara and Yuji talking past each other to convince the other to do an activity the other isn't interested in (shopping and a movie respectively). Also Megumi the Homebody!
OH NOOOOOOOO NOT THE SHIBUYA ARC. THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE WARNED WOULD HURT MY FEELINGS
Ohhhhhhh my god. Nobara being asked advice from this gal about asking Yuji out and immediately bringing Megumi back to the restaurant. I LOVE SCHOOL DRAMA
"Someone who knows Itadori well is on his way here now." Megumi Fushiguro: Yuji Dating Consultant
"Did my heart skip a beat?" Nobara!! What does that mean!!!
Megumi takes his role incredibly seriously. Beautiful. Perfect. Beyoncé:
Also. I know it was just an omake, but the implication that it is understood on Team Gojo that Yuji is allowed to date but Megumi isn't is SO FUNNY. They're like, 'He's OUR special boy, leave him alone!'
"But the way she eats and her handwriting and stuff are super nice." Yuji, my sweet boy, who loves girls for their hearts AND their asses
The slice of life parts of this are really getting my heart <3 Give me fifteen more episodes of Team Gojo's dating troubles and going to see Worm Man movies
Jujutsu Kaisen said: Hey Mechamaru have you considered not being disabled, and being evil instead? It's a fresh new look!!
"I have to use any means necessary to get in contact with Gojo Satoru and tell him about the Shibuya plot." Muta-maru said he's only a pragmatic amount of evil, a means to an end
"I'll be able to see everyone," said Muta-maru, in what I'm sure wasn't foreshadowing of him immediately about to die
"But I want to be even closer to you, Mechamaru. So, one day, I will come see you." Oh, Miwa, I don't think you will
Team Nanami!!! While I am glad to see them, I don't like this for Megumi. That he's here, in Shibuya. Be safe, baby boy!
"Everyone who came up running up to the edge of the veil to escape cried the same thing: Bring Gojo Satoru!" How about we don't do that!
Are they making Maki go on a mission with her grandpa? LMAO
They have made this as OMINOUS as possible. I don't like it. I don't like it at all. STAY AWAY, GOJO!!
"They're making Gojo-sensei do this alone?" MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!
Mei giving Yuji the option not to fight the people 😭😭😭 The teachers try so very hard to protect them in the ways that they can
"Mankind has long feared, hated and cursed such demonic pests." I am like the opposite of a bug person but I didn't have a specific fear of locusts going into this episode. They're doing their best to give me one though
"Are you clever? Or not clever? I'm clever." "Clever people wouldn't really go around calling themselves clever." There's something very Imperfect Cell about locust's vibes, and it does make me laugh
Yuji praying over the person who was killed 😭💞 HIM!!
"Nee-sama is praising you! Just accept it!" [Yelling] "Thank you! I'm honoured!" Yuji is very willing to accept constructive criticism
"Domain Amplification. It's the same principle as the New Shadow School's simple domain. They envelope themselves with the domain. While it reduces its guaranteed-hit effect, it ensures they neutralize any technique used. That would allow their attacks to hit me." Then why would people not use domain amplification and simple domain all the time?
The way Geto has thought of so many different ways to make sure there are civilian casualties to anything Gojo does!! GET GOT, GETO!
Them starting this horrifying scenario with an I Love Gojo video!!
"Technically, he's my benefactor," said Megumi, which meant, My Really Annoying Older Brother or Uncle or Dad Whom I Love
I do kind of love seeing Gojo go insane on these Cursed Spirits and reducing Hanami to smithereens. He can be a little vengeful, as a treat
"I'm sorry. I can't save everyone. So I promise to exorcise them instead." Oh, Gojoooo 😭😭😭😭
I KNOW THAT GETO KNOWS GETTING HIM TO STAND STILL FOR A MINUTE WILL BE EASY BECAUSE HE MISSES HIS DEAD FRIEND. I HATE THIS. I HATE IT! I WANT TO CRY AND THROW UP.
HEY! HEY! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I can pass from one body to another by replacing its brain with myself." WHAT DO YOU MEAN?????????????
It's NOT EVEN HIS FRIEND? IT'S A CURSE WEARING HIS DEAD FRIEND'S FACE? WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE HELL. WHAT ON EARTH!
"But it's time for you to wake up. How long will you keep letting it have its way with you, Suguru?" Geto's hand trying to kill the thing possessing him. For his own sake, or for Gojo's, I don't know
"I was killed on October 19th by the special-grade cursed spirit called Mahito." Rest in pieces, Mechamaru. Good of you to help!
"Well, it'll all work out somehow. I'm counting on you, everyone." Gojo thinking of his team of first years to save him!!!!!!!
OH IJICHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT'D HE DO TO ANYONE!!!!
Yuji dealing with the cell phone issue by yelling to all Shibuya a message for Nanamin ❣️ He is clever, and loud!
"Don't toy with Geto-sama any further." Mimiko and Nanako trying to get their surrogate dad's body back. Extremely fucked up and sad
Nanami asking Ino to look after Megumi and Yuji 🥺🥺
"The Gojo clan is currently a one-man team of Satoru Gojo himself." Where are all the other Gojos??????
Gojo being the one person who is safe-guarding specific people in jujutsu society with his existence 🥺😭 I do love him!!!
I do miss the omake instead of this end-of-ep character commentary but the fact that someone insults Gojo with the phrase, "Acting like he was nothing but leg below his nipples," does entertain me 1) Because it really doesn't translate to me culturally as an insult jnghkghg and 2) It confirms Gojo has nipples, which is a real rarity in anime
"They won't be able to climb up here that fast." [Immediate cut to Megumi and Yuji dropping in via Megumi's giant shadow bird] I love physical comedy
"So, whenever I'm at a loss, I think to myself, 'What would Nanami-san do?'" Oh, Ino, that's very sweet
"I thought this wouldn't take long?" "No comment." Yuji and Megumi's friendship is my whole heart and soul
OH MY GOD??????????????????????????????????? THEY'RE POSSESSING MEGUMI'S FATHER???? WHAT IS THIS, THE MAKE TEAM GOJO SEE A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES WEARING THEIR DEAD LOVED ONES FACES ARC????????
Setting aside the egregious body horror, I love that Gojo has been a menace from birth. Good for him!
"If you're a man, be clear and decisive." [Megumi points at Yuji about to throw a car] "That stuff's not my role." Megumi said: Yuji is my man, actually 💖
Megumi's so smart!!!!!! Figuring out how to be both weak and strong at the same time to combat the Inverse technique
Nanami flashing back to Haibara's body when he sees Ijichi's. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
"Who the hell do you think you're ordering around, old hag?" I KNEW that Toji was not going to be silent. Even dead, he's just. A Very Big Presence. Also, poor Megumi's feelings when he sees him. And subsequently, mine
"I guess it just means that this guy's soul couldn't win against my body." "A soul losing to a body?! No! That's impossible!" There is some interesting world-building between the body and the soul with Geto and Toji having consciousness through body alone. I'd be so thoughtful if it weren't so fucked up
"If I die, you'll kill me, right?" Megumi said: Stay Safe, Love You The Sequel 🌸
Nobara trying to protect Nitta while fully concussed!!!
NANAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII WIZARD ACCOUNTANT DAD'S HERE TO THE RESCUE!!!
I now have a new appreciation and understanding for everyone's lustful feelings for Nanami. I get it:
Ijichi's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh thank god. Stay alive!!!!!!!!!!!
"You would hinder me, and be in the way." A harsh but fair verdict for Nobara
Of all the people fighting on the side of curses, Choso is the one whose motivations are most understandable
"This guy has beaten my brothers before. They wouldn't lose to some idiot." Lot of confidence in that statement, Choso. I'm not saying Yuji's an idiot, but he learns best on the job and with advice. Benefit of Mechamaru's wisdom, in this case
It's fun that when the sorcerers don't know what's going on, they have an omniscient narrator/mission reporter cut in with an explanation
Also, if I were Choso, I would simply leave the bathroom LMAO
"So even if I die, I'm taking this guy out! I don't have to be the one to rescue Gojo-sensei!" YUJIIIIIIIII
UNBELIEVABLE, IS YUJI, LIVERLESS, UNCONSCIOUS AND FULL OF HOLES, GOING TO WIN THIS BATTLE ON THE BASIS OF A FRIENDSHIP MONTAGE?
Are they suggesting Yuji is ALSO the manifestation of a cursed womb. Because I hope the fuck not!!!
It seems Nanako and Mimiko are going to save Yuji because they share a purpose: Getting-Sensei-Dad-Released-From-Horrors
"Ui Ui? Will you die for me?" "Are you sure that's alright? May I die for you?" This sibling relationship has unsettled me from the moment it appeared on screen LMAO
"I guess there's never been a case where I've been better off alone." Nanami's hard line for co-combatants is that he will not intentionally put first years at risk (fair, given his history)
It's interesting how the ocean spirit seems the least aware and battle-hungry, given that The Ocean Has Many Things to Fear
I said this, and the Ocean immediately exploded into a taller, buffer cursed spirit
"Projection Sorcery. The cursed technique of Naobito Zen'in. It splits one second into 24 frames from his field of view, and allows him to trace the actions created in those frames at the start." Do you think it's fun for the animators to animate a power that's based on animation?
So THIS is where the beach domain came from! What a throwback!
Shikigami really do make sense for the Ocean as an attack
MEGUMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! He said: Hey Maki, I heard you were fighting shadows and hating old Zen'in men without me! What gives?
"The other two?" "Ino-san tapped out. Itadori's acting on his own." Nanami's first words to Megumi being about the other kids!!! I LOVE U
WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC WAY FOR TOJI TO REAPPEAR
I guess that answers the question of if Megumi would be able to recognize his dad. The answer is no!
"His fangs were constantly directed towards the strongest." That doesn't bode well for Megumi later on
Update from 8 minutes later: I WAS RIGHT, IT DIDN'T BODE WELL
PLEASE TELL ME THAT NANAMI AND MAKI ARE FIREPROOF???
"Now there should be at least 15 fingers inside Itadori." Oh. Oh no Yuji. This is NOT good for Yuji!
Also also. Is that the BEST way to say it? Is it?
"Below us, there's a man in monk's robes with a suture across his forehead. Please kill him." I feel like Nanako and Mimiko's request will go over well, purely because they're deferential and they're women and Sukuna seems like the type to be entertained by women. Plus, they're asking him to kill, which he loves doing. Although he does hate being told what to do, so it's a toss-up
Well, I think holding the finger above Sukuna's head (metaphorically) turned the tables against them
Rest in pieces, Nanako and Mimiko (literally, unfortunately)
"You're true to your word, yes?" I thought the pact with Yuji involved Sukuna NOT killing any humans while he's running his body? I feel like that constitutes not being true to your word
Fhkjhkjhgkjhggh you know, fair on what's-his-face for just stalling. He's not strong enough to help Gojo, clearly!
I wonder at what point during getting his ass beat will Megumi learn that it is his father doing the beating
"What's your name?" "Fushiguro?" "It's not Zen'in? I'm glad." Evil Dilf wins one (1) dad point by killing himself in front of his son to prevent his evil instincts from murdering him????
Jogo said: My real desire was the very human experience of wishing for Daddy (Sukuna) to say he was proud
UNWILLING TO BELIEVE THAT SUKUNA HAS A FRIEND. UNREALISTIC. BLOCKED!
"Wake up, you shitty sorcerer!" said Blond Bitch, as if he were not wholly responsible for Megumi being unconscious by attacking him from behind
Ahhh Megumi thinking of Gojo, who has always believed in his strength, and who disapproved of his fallback of giving up his life
"Urgent business." Sukuna said: Team Gojo is incorrect. Megumi is MY special little man 💞🗡️👅 Bye Uraume!
Until Sukuna actively does something to Megumi. I am kind of obsessed with how obsessed he is. He's evil, but he's got weird crush, it feels like. Grimdark Greedl!ngfan until proven otherwise
NOT MEGUMI MENTALLY APOLOGIZING TO YUJI FOR DYING!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE SO 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
"Don't die on me. There are things I need you to do for me." He is healing him! They make no effort to make this sound NOT like a weird crush:
Yuji is not going to be well when he finds out how many mass causalities Sukuna has caused in his body
"You might have defeated me, in the state I was in back then. Now you've fascinated me, Fushiguro Megumi!" OBSESSED
I suppose the implication of Shigemo not knowing of his miracle power is that he has been riding through life on luck alone
Sukuna dropping off Megumi to his teachers. What must they think?!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YUJI. Throwing up is an incredibly fair response to speed-running the memories of mass murder
I don't know how Yuji will ever be able to live any kind of normal life after this:
THANK GOD Nanami's alive. It's like they give you just enough to hope for that you won't stop watching completely
Oh god. If Nanami dies now, I will lose it. WHY ARE YOU STILL FIGHTING!! I mean, I know why, BUT WHY
"I've been here the whole time." Mahito, I swear to FUCK
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yuji cannot witness whatever Mahito is about to do to Nanami, he is already in the throes of PTSD
"You take it from here." NO, NO, NO NANAMI :(((((((((((((((((((((
I HATE THIS SHOW!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL
You know, I just don't know what to do with this show. Like I don't see the benefit of continuing. A lot of shows have put me through a lot, but this is the one that I think is hardest to watch, because the deaths mean nothing. It helps nothing. You learn nothing. It's just like, "Enjoy getting to know these people and watch them die in extremely violent circumstances." What am I supposed to root for? That Nobara doesn't die in front of Yuji, like Nanami did? That Gojo gets out of his prison soon enough to see what hell on earth has happened without him? That Yuji doesn't completely fall to Sukuna? That Megumi doesn't end up with all of his friends dead and/or gone? WHAT DO VIEWERS GET FROM THIS
"Itadori Yuji wasn't my only natural enemy?" Honestly. Hard to do commentary now. But good for Nobara:
"You've let me believe that I'm not alone." Yuji <3
I'm back to hopeless. Unless Nobara has some sort of 'you didn't touch my soul, you touched my hammer's soul' trap card
Megumi 🤝 Nobara: Being a menace to bullies as a child
Ah yes, menstrual rice, the tradition we all know about
"Nobara-chan changed after she met Saori-chan." Awww, baby's first role model
Nobara crying for leaving her friend Fumi!!! Sweet girl
"I hope Nobara-chan's doing well," said Saori, before it cut to Nobara definitely not doing well
The visualization of Nobara's previous metaphor of the people with seats in her life, and the way Nobara also has a seat for her younger self. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:
"Itadori. Tell everyone for me: Life wasn't so bad." NOBARA 😭
The way they all try to fix the shirt together 😭😭😭 Team Gojo
Megumi my boy always ready to take the hit for his friends 💕 Also LMAO @ Gojo, "What's the matter, Megumi?"
I don't blame Yuji for straight up giving up. Me too Yuji
"This is a war to determine which of those will be left standing a century from now." Call me crazy, Mahito, but I don't think people whose main life purpose is torturing people is a legitimate side. Like jujutsu sorcerers exorcise curses BECAUSE of what they do. If a curse's purpose were to make people play baseball or go to the movies, who would kill that?
Even if we buy into the premise of curses fighting for their own existence, it's sort of like, "Team A and Team B are fighting. Team A has killed a lot of Team B over many years. Team B has also done that, but also needs to kick eleven hospitalized children in the face for their enjoyment every day to keep going. What a dilemma!"
We interrupt this programming to say: Never in my life I have been happier to see Todo
"Sukuna killed so many. So I have to save... that many more people." Yuji 😟
"This is not a matter of sins or punishments. The moment we chose to live as jujutsu sorcerers, our lives were no longer bound by such karma." Todo said: Jujutsu sorcerers can do no wrong actually, and that is how I've decided to live my life
Todo said: The greatest punishment is being alive ❤️ Hope that helps!
"Todo-san's little brother doesn't look like him at all." Todo said: Who needs context! Bros for life
"I'm just saying that the chance [that Nobara survived] isn't zero. Please don't get your hopes up too high." Blond Kyoto First Year Baby Brother Nitta sums up energy of this show in a single sentence:
"I'll make sure I take on your share of suffering too, Nanamin." 😨
Ohhhhhhhh I'm glad Mechamaru and Miwa have their chance to talk. Poor Miwa
I honestly fully support Mechamaru manipulating his friends to not be in Shibuya. I wish nobody was in Shibuya, and I'm going through Shibuya this week
"Whatever shape it takes, as long as you're happy, my wish has come true." Romantic Bastard Behaviour
"And that's all thanks to that woman." Wild that Mahito is the first person to acknowledge Nobara's full strength
I appreciate how silly Todo's animations are. They're like, "Here, as a treat."
Back from my vacation in Japan after a couple of weeks and returning to to finish this season, and let me tell you, watching this show in the hours leading up to leaving made for a very harrowing first time at the train station. They use incredibly accurate building modelling in this show. Also, I did get a little Nanami keychain. In any case, I have returned to finish hurting my feelings
Opposite to my prior point, they make all of Mahito's animation as gross as possible
"Forgive me, you pitiful souls." Ahhh, Todo
Mahito using Gojo's split second domain technique to attack his student. GET GOT, MAHITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Props to Todo for immediately getting rid of his own arm to prevent dying?????????????????????
"And he can't clap his hands anymore." I did wonder how long it would take for the clapping thing to come up. Mahito would probably have won this fight if curses (Hanami, specifically) bothered to tell each other anything. Maybe the real technique everyone needed was communication
Absolute, extreme regret to ever echo Mahito, but: Huh?
Todo touching Mahito just so Yuji could get an opening!!! 😭😭😭
"Instant Spirit of Distorted Killing." Why does the average special cursed spirit form simply look like a particularly sadistic, anthropomorphized tree?
[Narration slide] "There is no sorcerer who can unleash Black Flash at will." Then what's the attack chanting for? Just hoping it'll work?
I don't think I enjoy Yuji's smile being slashed open Joker Style
"I'll just kill you. And if you're ever reborn as another curse, I'll kill you then, too. You can change your name and change your appearance, but I'll still kill you again and again. I don't need meaning or a reason for it anymore. Maybe there will be some meaning to be found from my actions several centuries after I'm dead. But I'm sure I'm just one big cog in the wheel. And I'll keep on killing curses until I rust away." Yuji said: New life philosophy unlocked: Murder your problems until you die 💖
I'm not sure I'm comfortable with HOW Yuji has found inner peace, but he does seem like he has an achievable goal
Fake Geto said: I haven't caused problems in a while! Hope you didn't gain any hope while I was gone.
"No matter what judgment gets doled out to Itadori later now that Gojo is gone, I won't be taking your side. I'm in favour of Itadori Yuji's execution." I can't say I blame Kusakabe for his position
I do wish they'd stop doing this with Mei Mei. Whoever wrote this said: I have feelings for my family that should only be discussed with a psychiatrist 😀
Choso said: Where one brother of Yuji's (Todo) falls, another one rises up (me) like a fucked up little tag team of camaraderie
I also should've known better than to think Mahito might actually die. That's hope! Stupid.
I have never been LESS happy to see the Kyoto School. GO HOME
The payoff for the forced pregnancy storyline they dropped last season is that Fake Geto is Choso's DAD? Disgusting. Terrible. Leave. Kick rocks. You will NEVER be the Evil DILF that Toji is!!!
Alright. Alright. I will allow the Kyoto students to be here for one moment, if only for the comedy of Choso yelling "KAMO NORITOSHI" and Blood-bending Teen Kamo pointing and going, "Watashi? (Me?)" It WAS funny.
"How dare you make me try to kill Itadori? My little brother!" said Choso, like he had nothing to do with that decision
If the payoff for Choso calling Yuji his little brother that Fake Geto is also his dad. I don't want it. I would rather just disintegrate.
"I strongly sensed the death of Itadori Yuji, right before my eyes. Which means that Yuji must also be my blood-related younger brother." 😷😷😷 I don't have words strong enough for how much I wish this episode had ended with 16 minutes ago (it's been 15:55 minutes)
I truly, truly don't want to believe this but does this mean that Kamo and Sukuna had a terrible threesome with Yuji's poor mother to create Yuji? I don't want that. I keep saying it. It's not helping
"Just asking, but you two are strangers, right?" "Worse than strangers. He nearly killed me once already." I like that Todo has set the premise for Yuji simply being called siblings by strangers who have beat the crap out of him, so he's just like, 'Well. It happens.'
"First it was Todo. Are you sure you aren't emitting dangerous pheromones or something?" Panda said: Maybe you just stink of brotherly love, Yuji
Tsukumo said: Me and Choso together will fill the void of Todo being gone
"Japan would practically have a monopoly on cursed energy. Other nations, especially that superpower, wouldn't stand by and allow that." HFFHFJHFKJJH the clouds and angle make the geography a little hazy, but I can only assume this is a shot at the U.S. Yeah, Tsukumo, the U.S. would be the problem with killing everyone who's not a sorcerer! Not anything else!
JJK really said: You thought Megumi was safe just cause he wasn't on screen? SURPRISE. WE ARE GOING TO KILL HIS SISTER:
They are going to elaborate on how the rest of Japan is doing, but NOT on how the Kyoto students get out of this situation
OKKOTSU!!!!!!!!! Resident Nice Little Guy coming to save the day
"That's bad, Rika-chan. Don't overdo it." Hey. Hey. What?
"He cut off Inumaki's arms in Shibuya." WHAT!!!!!!!!! WHEN!!!!!!!
"Satoru Gojo has been deemed an accomplice to the Shibuya incident and is hereby expelled from Jujutsu Society. In addition, any attempt to free him from his seal will be deemed a crime." This is most extreme form of victim-blaming for any one person in anime I've seen
Resident Nice Little Guy Okkotsu is now Resident Yuji Executioner
I can't imagine Megumi will tolerate any of this. He's going self-expel from Jujutsu Society
[Yuji claps] [Numerous cursed spirits emerge out of the water like he's now trying out a Cursed Manipulation Kekkei Genkai] HEY. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
I don't know what to say about this show anymore. I don't know what this was, except exhausting. However, that was more than enough for me. Goodnight.

Ah, Kamo my boy.
I know you just wanted to be a good kid and a good leader for the Kamo clan but you should consider the chance that both Maki and Mai may never wanted to be married to you.
And especially considering Maki’s personality, if she indeed had inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, she would most definitely try to assert dominance on her clan instead of let herself get married into another clan!😗
Also, why are Megumi’s eyes brown?! Who forgot to colour them??? 😂
And featuring my biggest pet peeve in 2D Universe: Paper-dimensional teeth. I’m not going to tolerate this from MAPPA again! 😤😒
Points of focus that got my attention under the cut (spoilers obviously).
Retrospect:
“It hurts…” Yuuji after killing Eso. 🤨
Gojo is more tanned than we all think. The only ones that have a darker complexion than him are Yuuji and Yaga! This came a bit as a shock to me because I usually notice these things pretty quickly but his white hair are quite misleading. Haha I only noticed after watching him interact with the other characters in back to back episodes in my rewatch. 👀
Why was Kamo thinking of reuniting with Miwa when they fought Hanami? Does Miwa have the potential to exorcise special grades? I highly doubt that… hm.🤨
Ever since I heard this when I first watched JJK, I’m having so many thoughts about what this truly meant; what exactly Gojo meant when he told Megumi that he ‘won’t even measure up to Nanami’? Is this because Nanami is extremely strong? Like he’s the second strongest after himself— THE Gojo Satoru? Or — like I always understood it — because Nanami is extraordinarily strong despite not being complete as a sorcerer? This is giving me headaches for a year now… ugh… 🫤😬 Of course, it could mean both senses… Nah, coming from Gojo, it really sounds like the later meaning, right?🧐
What really bothers me in the movie; did Gojo really said “I love you” to Geto? Ahaha, not so much that it bothers me but more like the manga had Gojo blushing the minute he sets eyes on Geto, but Geto doesn’t blush until after Gojo’s last words to him. Yet, the movie never shows them blushing at any moment. What version is accurate? Not to mention… Gojo really had to decapitate Geto. Geto himself is a reversed curse technique user, which is probably why Yuuta went after his head during their fight (this kid knows his subject!). Geto got momentarily lucky that the katana broke but… Well, did Gojo do his job properly? He better— 😒
I think this is an unpopular opinion and people will go bonkers if I say this out loud, but the only reason for Gojo to tell Geto that he loves him in that moment and Geto to reply — well, like he did — is that besides friendship there was really nothing more between them. Individually, Geto must have loved Gojo in the more ecumenical or platonic sense— more like how you love your family, your friends, the people in general. It’s a fairly broad range of love. That’s why he didn’t consider Gojo’s ‘love’ a curse. Or at least that’s what he was comfortable with… Poor Gojo, really. This was his last chance to confess to Geto and the guy is just as blockheaded and dense as a cementbrick. Because make no mistake, by the narrative, Gojo speaks of love in the same sense of how Yuuta loves Rika… erm, loved(?) Rika… He means it as romantic love. Again, poor Gojo. If he really said ‘l love you’ to Geto, then that means he finally found the courage to admit his feelings, but his feelings didn’t come across! I did say before that his existence is a joke, right? He deserves this pain because he’s Over Powered. He can take it. 🤭😗
And what really bothers the shit out of me: what was the bluff Geto pulled while at Jujutsu Tech that they all still believe??? What did his stupid ass did??? It can’t be that he was referring to the way he manipulates cursed spirits, right? That’s too simple! Though it may hold some truth, I don’t think it is — or rather, it shouldn’t be — something so simple. Grrr 🙄😤
Ah! Btw, because I forgot to say this earlier, what was that bubble Yuuta used to heal Maki, Toge and Panda? Was that a reverse cursed technique? It seemed to sooth Maki’s pain. And in the manga, it looked like she was more or less healed(?)… 🧐 Yes, I don’t know.
Bonus Favourite juju strolls:
Gojo asking Nanami out just to break his nerves.
Gojo, Nobara and Yuuji ruining Megumi’s ‘pick up’ time.

toji to me is a very downtrodden character and thats the base of like aaalll my analysis of him. i think its a good idea to keep in mind that they're all living in a Secret Society with like negative morals and seemingly a core principle of might makes right. its not Just a lack of therapists, here, right, its an actively hostile environment. and then you have the zen'in upbringing which kicks that up a notch. i dont think toji is actually all that convinced of his power, bc he grew up being told he was worthless without cursed energy. he Never gets revenge on the zen'ins. why? his trauma response to this (get OUTTTTT) is different than maki's (spite them & eventually overcome them-- for approval ? hm.). shes intimidated by them sure but shes got that rebel spirit! girlboss. anyway back to the point bc i have one -> toji never escaped the zen'ins. he Wants to affirm that he's strong without cursed energy despite all the evidence that he actually is (and look how that final attempt went!). id like to propose a theory: he didnt think he could hide a child with The Zen'in Power Of All Time from the zen'ins. i dont think he could either tbh. ok actually are you caught up on the manga 🤨
Hello again! I really love this view of Toji's character, and it will surprise you to learn that I agree with you. I actually do. When I've been replying to your asks before, I've been talking from the perspective of his parenting decisions. But you're right, to take this any further we need to look at his actual personality/character.
Reasons to be sympathetic to Toji (a.k.a extend him the poor little meow meow factor):
abusive ex-family
no support
no therapy
dead wife
poor
gambling addiction
Toji was abused and was brought up in an environment where he literally meant nothing. He was useless. His reaction to this (get out, cut all ties, get stronger) is a response I'm actually proud of him for. So many people are probably still rolling around inside the Zen'in clan, having never got the balls to get out. Toji even chooses to change his name.
Being a cycle breaker is hard. For many people, it's impossible. For Toji - it was impossible. I extend sympathy and empathy to him here because it's DIFFICULT to let go of your upbringing and do it differently, do better. Toji can't bring him self to leave the jujutsu world. Nanami did it, and could have left forever if he so chose - but Toji can't. He's not a sorcerer but he can't let go of that being part of him, he can't stop his Zeni'in upbringing from shaping him. Neither can Maki, but Maki chooses to actively confront the clan and make physical changes to her life.
Toji just drowns in his spite - again, another thing we can hand him a poor little meow meow card for. He doesn't have the tools to heal or make better decisions. We feel bad for him. We sympathise. We want to still see him as a basically good person (and, to be honest, he probably is) who's just been scarred by the world.
So, to go back to what you said: you're right. He doesn't escape the Zeni'ns and I'm not convinced he wants to. He wants to show them he's better but he also can't bring himself to directly call attention to himself.
So let's bring this full circle and talk about what the original post was about: Toji's parenting. You said you still don't think he's a good parent. You're right, he isn't. He never will be. No Toji stan will ever be able to convince me that any of Toji's parenting choices were the right ones. But let's be sympathetic again, let's see how we can cut him some slack for those terrible decisions.
Does Toji even know how to be a parent?
We don't know a whole lot about Toji's parents. We know he hates them, if he ever truly knew them. We can infer he doesn't want to be like them. We're sure he never actively abuses Megumi, only passively, through abandonment. Perhaps he feels this is better than getting directly involved with a small child. He's described by the wiki as a cold person, specifically since his wife died and he 'reverted to his old self'. It's highly possible that Toji chose to abandon Megumi since he thought it was genuinely the best possible path. Toji can be cold, violent, and calculating, and he maybe felt he was in no position to be doing any parenting. We can sympathise with this!
(But he's still a bad father).
Did Toji sell Megumi to the Zen'ins so the kid could train to be a sorcerer?
It's definitely possible. I think this is what @honestlyyoungtyphoon was trying to tell me. Toji can't help a sorcerer kid, but he knows that Megumi needs training and he knows the Zen'ins would love to give it. And, yeah, maybe he's had this plan ever since he realised Megumi's technique, because he knew the Zen'ins would find out somehow.
Reasons this is still a bad parenting decision: the Zen'ins, while they treat their sorcerers well materially and are much kinder to them than they are to non-sorcerers, are still power hungry little bitches. Everyone knows this. While Toji would have no way to create a better plan, he knew himself it was bad. You ever wonder why Gojo went to see Megumi straight away? Because was Gojo was raised how the Zen'ins would treat Megumi. Gojo was living the life that Megumi would live in the future. And Gojo knew that it wasn't a life fit for anyone.
Toji knows that Gojos knows this. Toji knows Gojo could help Megumi. Toji passed the baton. And honestly, this is probably a reveal of part of Toji's true personality. He willingly sent a guy, his own personal enemy, to Megumi because he knew it was good for Megumi. Toji has a lot of pride and it must have taken a lot to ask that. THIS is probably what the aggressive Toji stans mean when they tell me Toji was a good parent.
So, overall: Toji is a damaged person who never received any kind of help and support from anyone except his (now dead) wife. There are many factors that help shape his decisions and parenting choices. Toji is probably a basically good person who is simply hurt by his circumstances, and even his truly awful decisions such as abandoning Megumi could have their roots in a belief that it was truly for the best. However: a good person does not make a good parent.
Toji was a shit dad and we love him <3
#we don't love him FOR being a shit dad obviously#we love him despite it#and thank you anon for your opinions! i hope mine have shone through in this#at heart i am a toji apologist for everything except how he treated megumi#and i will not let toji stans convince me he was a good father#argue with me don't argue with me idc i'm right on this one#toji fushiguro#astro speaks wonders#fushiguro toji#jjk toji#jjk gojo#jujutsu kaisen#jjk#jujutsu kaisen season 2#jujutsu kaisen s2

The Cursed Child
Pairing! : Yūta Okkotsu x gn!reader (hopefully 😭)
Note! : Angsty fic. I'm wondering if I should start writing for my anime guys <3 Reblogs and feedbacks are appreciated!
Making your waiting meet its end, you felt his ever-strong presence enter the room after what seemed like ages.
His hair slightly longer than what you remembered, his height visibly taller. But the smile painted on his delicate lips was still the same as ever. The same smile which faded once he had to leave the people he loved the most, the same smile which became less and less frequent when his youth was taken away from him.
Okkotsu Yūta stands in the doorway with his eyes more tired than they had ever been. His façade doesn’t seem to hide the fatigue he’s trying to mask up, but he puts on the show nonetheless. His uniform was crinkled and messy from his long journey, and his bags fell asleep as soon as they hit the floor. But once he saw his friends make their way towards him for a long-awaited welcome, the light which illuminated his eyes was one you had never seen before.
They were the people he truly cared for, so the joy he felt on seeing them wasn’t something unusual. Panda, who engulfed him in the biggest hug ever, Maki, who passed him her signature smile accompanied with a pat on his back and Toge, who high-fived his long-gone best friend, all of them held a special place in Yūta’s heart. They were the people who made Yūta feel genuine happiness, something his busy life as a Special Grade had erased for him. And while his eyes twinkled when laughed from being reunited with his friends, his gaze landed on you. You, who stood there right in front of him, frozen in place with eyes glued onto his figure.
Saying that you missed him would not do justice to the emotion you felt during the time he was away in Africa. Maybe saying that the fabrics of your world were torn apart without him, would just do the trick. Time had never passed this slowly as you longed for him to come back safely. Even though your missions with your other classmates went by smoothly and successfully, they were never the same as when Yūta was by your side. It wasn’t until he left for the journey Gojo-sensei had sent him on, you realized how desperately and miserably you were in love with him.
But right now, as Yūta stands in front of you waiting to be greeted, all you want to do is wrap your arms around him and cry your heart out, telling him about how difficult it was without him, begging him never to leave you again.
But you can’t. You can’t tell him how you feel. Not now, not ever. Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t because a fear resided in your heart. The same fear which had tormented Yūta the day his life took the greatest turn. The same fear which took away the sleep from his nights since he was eleven. The same fear which made him cut off ties with his own family. The same fear he overcame and freed the past December.
Rika, the vengeful cursed spirit, his powerhouse, and the girl he gave his heart to once.
Even if she had been freed from Yūta’s curse, Yūta feared the same happening all over again. Even if he was stronger and wiser than he once had been, he still didn’t want to torment anyone in the way he made Rika ever again. He refused to fall for anyone ever again because life as a jujutsu sorcerer takes unexpected turns. What if yet again, the love of his life fell before him, and his caring innocent heart refused to accept it? Therefore, he made a promise to himself to never fall in love again, for the better of others.
And that’s why you decided to never show him your true feelings, even if it meant living with a torturing burden for as long as you were alive.
So there you stand before him, suppressing the hot tears behind your eyes, painting a smile of relief on your face to let him know you were thankful to see him make it back in one piece. But yet, the pain your heart bore was what you could never let him see, because even if he had said that he would never let anyone give their heart to him, your foolish self already had.

Toji’s Two Legacies
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but Gege likes to draw parallels between Maki and Toji. You might not have caught on, he’s extremely subtle about it. However, despite having the same backstory as the outcast of the Zenin Clan, and the same Heavenly Restriction, Maki only reflects one aspect of Toji.
Maki herself only became aware of Toji after seeing one aspect of him. During the fight against Dagon, Toji suddenly breaks into the Domain and in front of the scattered members of the Zenin Clan and absolutely slaughters the curse spirit that was givnig them all trouble. Maki has no idea who Toji is even, he is just someone who appeared in front of her and showed her a strength with her heavenly restriction that she had never seen before.
Her only impression of him was him as a fighter, stronger than anyone she had ever seen before, apparently, free of everything that was holding Maki back.
In her desire to be like him and emulate him, Maki only really understands that he is an extremely powerful individual who can defeat others even without cursed energy. In a mini-arc where Maki is apparently, not seeing something important, and learning to see more, there is something that we the readers know that Maki is not privvy to.
Toji is a complete and utter failure of a human being.
Toji, the strongest monkey even without cursed energy, only cared about the strength to the point of neglecting everything else.
Toji only cared about proving his stnregth, getting stronger, and crushing the same socery world that rejected him. To the point where Toji’s life is entirely empty. He has nothing, but his strength. Toji while alive, didn’t act that much different from his flesh puppet zombie that only attacked everything that was stronger than it. All he did was fight for money, blow the money at the race track, with no thought to how he brutalized others, or the people he left behind.
Which is why I point out, there’s another side of Toji’s personality that Maki is completely unaware of. It’s not good to be like Toji.
Toji’s decision, to neglect everything and only focus on getting stronger, made him abandon Megumi his one “blessing” the one person he loved truly. At the end of Toji’s life, he may have climbed the heights of one of the strongest human being, but he died empty and full of regret, only thinking of how he left behind Meugmi. Toji was strong, but that’s all he was. He had no connections to anybody, except Megumi, and he cut Megumi off.
Maki might not have any way of knowing better, but, Toji is still a terrible example for her to follow.
Choosing the path of strength, to the point where there is nothing else. While Maki saw Toji completely tear apart Dagon, there was also a side of Toji that only Megumi witnessed. Maki only sees Toji’s strength, but Megumi is treated to a different side of his father.
It makes sense, Megumi is the victim of TOji’s abandonment and abusive neglect as a parent. I doubt Megumi would even care that his father was one of the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerers, because he compeltely failed him in his duty of a father.
However, for Toji, ther ewas something even more important than strength. Something he should have focused on instead. And Megumi is only able to see that one small sacrifice in a moment of refret for how he lived his life. They’ve both seen different parts of Toji and were impacted in different ways (I expect at some point Megumi will learn who Toji is as he didn’t recognize him face to face in person), and I wonder if this stark difference in the way they both interpret Toji is going to lead to different paths for their character development.
Part of me worries the overemphasis on strength, is because Maki has nothing else left. Toji still had Meumi in his dying moments, but Maki lives, without amother, and without Mai. She hasn’t materialized any other goal, other than bearing her fangs, and challening the strongest around.

To be honset now for hononary remnant we need more head canons about neutral and good ending even tought I love wirte my oc in this bad end verison of this au but......I am intrested in what happening in neutral and good ending
Prepare yourselves as I try to summarise this mess @i-cant-thinkof-anything-new @hibiscuswolverine Feel free to add if I've missed anything 😅
This AU is an AU of the Makoto befriends the 77th class AU, where the killing game occurs and the Remnants yoink him away and hide him in their base.
So he doesn't end up stuck in the school with the rest of his class.
And everything was going fine till the future foundation showed up and kidnapped everyone. Putting the remnants in the Neo world programme, infected with the Junko glitch some asshole member put in their to begin the killing game.
Makoto was held hostage by FF in case anything happened, not knowing why the survivors ignore him. Because he has no knowledge of their killing game. But being trained by Peko, Nekomaru and Akane Makoto is able to fight back against the FF.
Which they find intriguing and decide to use him as more than a hostage.
Making him their Ultimate Hope.
They made him watch the killing game to try and see just how strong his spirit was (and because there assholes) and he was horrified by what he saw.
They used that as a distraction to knock him out. Performinh a similiar procedure to the one Hajime went through and Makoto is left a shell of himself with no memories other than his name being the Ultimate Hope.
He basically becomes their figure hear and executioner, revelling in killing because its the only control over his life he has. The 79th class is there looking out for him, Korekiyo and Kokichi telling him stories, Maki and Tenko guarding him and Jum-P is at his side.
Shuichi being hella pisssed at Kirigiri and later the Remnants escaped and got Makoto, who fought with them believing they were the enemy but were able to get him back home.
And this is where the endings come in.
Bad ending:
Izuru and Mikan do surgery to bring Makoto back to them. But go very yandere about it, in particular Izuru who doesn't want Makoto to ever leave again.
And breaks his legs and while he's recovering from... Everything he's given a wheel chair made by Soda that barely moves. He's not able to leave and he doesn't try to, used to being contained.
Things work out and go back to normal till Makoto learns the truth and they did this to him. He is hurt and betrayed and Hajime, in his sadness and anger is able to cease control and write a message to Shuichi.
The remnants are sent to the real Neo world programme to rehabilitate and Makoto lives with the 79th class, WOH and Komaru. Slowly healing from everything but haunted and afraid to trust anyone ever again.
.
Neutral ending:
Makoto, torn by two conflicting identities runs off from everyone. Taking the part of his life he had control over, killing and going after FF bases and becoming a sort of killer/vigilante. He changes his name to Kuro, his memories come back but not quite and he lives his new life alone. Though at some point he and Hajime reunite and he's able to rebuild his relationships with the others but Makoto is gone.
There's only Kuro.
.
The good ending:
Makoto's memories come back slowly on their own and he's able to start healing from all he's went through. The Remnants are able to heal, everyone is back together and slowly moving on from all that's happened and be a family again.
They have their lil luck back with them and there moving on together, it can still be hard but they have each other.

Chapters 191-194: Sakurajima Colony: Buck-buck! Some arcs are really just not that eggciting and that’s ok
Sort of happy JJK-Sunday?
I must admit that while I loved Kin-chan vs. Kashi-chan because their dynamic was just absolutely fantastic, this little Naoya the Cursed Yarn Ball vs. Girl Boss Maki why is she wearing a little cape tho?! mini-arc has felt like a total drag.
I so have not been eggcited about this mini-arc one bit.
Pu-kyu, my new assistant, agrees 300%.
But there’s a few things that have been on my mind that I wanted to write down because, let’s face it, I love to word vomit about irrelevant plot tangents.
Without further ado, here are 10 observations I’ve made over the last few chapters! There's absolutely no sign of intelligence beneath the cut...
1. FFS, why is Maki wearing a little cape?
I hate Maki’s little cape there I said it on main. It makes the Fashion Diva in me want to style her or something like that.
Gege, please. Can we please get rid of the little cape? Cardcaptor Sakura’s Tomoyo or Tokyo Babylon’s Hokuto need to make a cameo and style her up.
Hokuto would gladly put Maki into some Dolce since JJK has that collab with Dolce & Gabbana and all.
This Girl Boss androgynous look is hot and I love Maki playing into it. Even if it’s just a facade for a girl who had to act confident to thrive in a man’s world.
The little cape? NOT HOT.
Not me gatekeeping Maki bahaha
2. “Even cursed spirits feel pain”
In all seriousness tho. This has probably been the one thing that has really got my interest. I’ve already written about how I became a Cursed Spirit apologist thanks to the cockroach that Gege graced us with.
But I have to say that I’ve loved how Gege brought back the idea of a Cursed Spirits’ consciousness in these last few chapters.
I immediately noticed and loved that the Yarn Ball was totally Naoya-like in its interactions and speech.
Which I thought it was fascinating because if the body = the soul = the mind (ego personality)... then, not only is his form very fitting (a worm and... a Yarn Ball?), but there’s something about how a vessel (the body) can change to better reflect the mind/soul--Mahito’s specialty.
I don’t know how to explain better just yet. I just love that an ego personality can have a different vessel and have continuity of existence even when the vessel looks different or the original vessel “died”.
It tells me a will (ego/mind/personality) has to be really, really strong to create a new vessel for itself in order to carry out its desires. In Naoya’s case, his will created a new vessel for the sake of avenging his pride after he was defeated by Maki the first time.
This all feels very Soul Eater in a sense...
But it’s not just this idea of a will creating a new vessel for itself, it’s the idea of a Cursed Spirit having a consciousness of it being alive to begin with.
Once you start messing with the idea of sentience, you are on another level.
Again, I brain rotted about this idea in the liveblog for chapter 175.
I just love this theme and idea because it set the stage for a rebellion against humans, the very creators and source of energy for Cursed Spirits.
In showing that even a Cursed Spirit feels pain, I also get this feeling that Gege is inviting his audience to sympathize with Cursed Spirits.
I also loved that around the time this particular chapter came out, Chainsaw Man 2 dropped its first chapter featuring a very similar motif.
I can’t quite put my finger on it just yet but I love that Fujimoto is playing with the same concept that Gege has introduced into JJK--as a living being with a consciousness of its own (created by collective human thought no less), a Cursed Spirit or Devil has every right to exist and thrive.
It’s a hell of a morally gray dilemma because Cursed Spirits and Devils alike cause havoc for humanity. But in the end, at least in JJK, the problem comes back to the fact that we created them through our own unconsciousness.
Unless you are a Jujutsu Sorcerer, then you channel your cursed energy into a Cursed Technique instead of unconsciously creating curses.
Which kind of reminded me that the crazy master plan in this whole thing is to bring back the Golden Age of Cursed Techniques...
3. Heian, the Golden Age of Cursed Techniques
So, let’s remember that the Culling Game is one massive shit show to bring about the evolution of human kind honestly I don't even know at this point, I thought it was more about Hakari’s abs at one point.
I’m stumped because as bored as I am with this battle, I feel like Gege is still dropping important details.
Cursed Spirits are basically a non-factor in a world where humans gain a deeper understanding of their Cursed Energy and use it more productively.
After all, the whole purpose of these concurrent battles taking place is to help sorcerers and non-sorcerers deepen their understanding of cursed energy.
We already suspect that Kenny is going to do something about the colonies that have reached a point where only the strongest sorcerers remain. The question is what?
This is an interesting can of worms because Cursed Technique seems to be intimately tied to the user’s personality (mind) in a symbolic or literal way.
Also, let’s not forget everybody’s favorite Daddy Sukuna, chaos himself, is a prodigy when it comes to Cursed Energy manipulation through Cursed Technique.
So what is going to happen?!
Idk I’m rambling at this point.
Honestly, this is why this mini-arc is driving me nuts’o.
There’s so many amazing, unanswered questions about the plot and instead we get a Maki vs. Naoya the Yarn Ball battle do over.
A cat vs. Naoya the Yarn Ball would have been far more entertaining.
4. Not all arcs are created equal
Bahaha, I feel really bitchy saying that and yet I want to honor how I feel about JJK right now.
Right now, as much as I love JJK, this particular mini-arc/battle is not easy to get through.
But I’ve been watching anime for a very loooooong time and I’ve been reading a lot of manga recently and something has become very clear to me because of it...
Yeah this mini-arc isn’t my favorite in JJK but it’s just an arc. Every manga I have read lately has arcs that are a drag to get through. It’s just how it is.
Some arcs are eggciting af, others aren’t.
No manga is perfect.
5. Mangaka and the pressure to create in order to feed a capitalist system
Manga is truly a treasure to mankind--they are beautifully told stories about the reality of being human.
Mangaka take on that privilege of sharing those stories with an audience.
Telling these stories requires courage. In telling these stories, mangaka are putting themselves out there, they are baring the inner-universe within their heart and soul for all to see.
The characters they create are reflections of inner-selves exploring the world of their imagination.
I am a huge believer in having a consistent habit of creation. If you are a writer, you write; if you are a painter, you paint.
But sometimes, creativity doesn’t quite work like that. Sometimes creativity needs to marinate an idea to bring it to fruition. After all, despite capitalism’s focus on hustle culture, creativity is not linear.
All that to say that I have all the more respect for mangaka because they work under strict and constricting schedules that are not necessarily conducive to shipping the best creative work.
I’ve read many a manga that probably could have used more time to develop and expand on its themes. Shingeki no Kiojin is the latest example as I did not like the ending very much and felt like Isayama could have done a much better job given how much of a detailed writer he proved to be.
But that’s just my personal opinion and I know it is not shared by everyone.
In other words...
I am looking forward to JJK getting exciting again and hope that Gege is able to ship his best creative work despite his schedule.
Beware of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), x/1999, Akatsuki no Yona and Tokyo Babylon panel spoilers below.
6. Recycling panels or panel parallels?
One of my favorite things in the world is catching panel parallels in manga by different authors... like Shingeki no Kyojin and x/1999 below:
Akatsuki no Yona and Tokyo Babylon:
Sometimes there are manga parallels used by the same authors but in different manga titles of theirs like in CLAMP’s xxxHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
Or, in this case, even within a single manga by a single author:
These 2 panels of Megumi and Maki aren’t exactly the same, but I couldn’t help but notice them and I wondered whether Gege was just recycling panels or whether he is making a bigger statement paralleling Megumi and Maki’s growth as they learn to value themselves.
In particular Megumi learned there was a vast difference between risking his life to win and throwing away his life to win.
For Maki, I love that she’s so certain that in the next five minutes she will be as good as new. That’s the nature of her newfound powers.
But above all, I found it interesting that Kamo tells Maki they “can’t afford to lose her at this stage”.
Right now Kamo has a majorly huge death flag.
7. When Gege makes you care about characters you didn’t know you cared about, does that mean he’s about to kill them?
I swear JJK characters have super heroic deaths and that’s why they hurt like hell.
The whole sequence with Maki and Kamo actually reminds me of Nanami’s death because of the setup leading to it and the Megumi/Maki panel parallels I shared above. In other words, Nanami realized how valuable Megumi was to the battle and stepped in to protect him the way Kamo is doing the same.
Perhaps that’s what the panel parallels are trying to say here.
Another heroic death example I cannot not mention is...
Kokichi ;-; ...
Gege is so good at creating this feeling of--”man this character is so cool and I admire their mindset and can relate to them on an emotional level and I love that aaaaaaaand... now they’re dead.”
Gege is just not afraid to kill or hide any of his characters.
And now... we have Kamo trying to get self-sacrificial and heroic.
It’s sad to me that he spent so much time and effort in being the perfect heir and doing things as the perfect heir should do them so that he could live up to the title and make a place for his mother in the clan.
But now his mother has moved on with her life (as is implied in the latest chapter) and he’s no longer the head of the clan.
The things he had identified his sense of self with have vanished.
And so now, he sees no value in himself other than in sacrificing himself for his comrades.
But... I have to be honest that Kamo’s line regarding his decision to sacrifice himself felt predictable to me.
So perhaps this could be a red herring? We did get two new players thrown into the mix who are going to complicate things further.
Whatever the case, Gege has made me care about Kamo because he’s made him incredibly relatable in a couple of pages max.
Gege truly does have a talent for characterization.
8. Chapters 135 and 136
Um, hello? I need a re-read of the last few chapters of the Shibuya Incident. So much is paying off in the current arc but in a way that feels like Gege has been world-building.
In particular, chapter 64 marked the end of Gege world-building the first stage of JJK. He then proceeded to undo everything he had done by tearing it down throughout the Shibuya Incident.
He then gave us a ton of exposition during the last chapters in the Shibuya Incident, and it feels to me like he’s using the Culling Game to show and expand upon some of the plot points that he introduced during those chapters.
9. Incest in JJK
Did Gege just imply that Mai and Naoya...???
Right, so we start the chapter with a nice little philosophical spill by the Yarn Ball.
Something about learning an ability and it becoming second nature. Yadda-yadda-yadda.
But then...
To which Naoya responds...
Uh.
...
Ways to interpret this interaction:
Naoya just wants to say something hurtful to Maki (this was my initial interpretation)
Naoya just wants to say something really REALLY hurtful to Maki and so he chose to reveal the thing that would hurt the most--Naoya did “adult things” with Mai (this was my interpretation after wondering what being an adult had to do with Mai... and then it hit me lol)
Is this innuendo surprising considering Megumi was Mai’s first crush?
Not to mention everybody’s favorite JJK siblings with questionable morals, Mei Mei and Ui Ui.
Anyways. Not sure whether Gege meant to use innuendo in that interaction, but he sure loves his incest trope lol.
10. BONUS
Ok there really is no #10. I just wanted to end on an even number.
Again, if you’ve made it this far in this ramble, thank you. I always notice the same people liking what I write and I am very grateful that you read my rambles.
Please do stop and say hi if you are up for it. I love talking to others in fandom!
Until next time!
Happy JJK-Sunday!

↳ barista’s notes : let me admit, this will probably have terrible grammer issues here and there because i started this at 10:30pm and how it is 4am....ʕ ㅇ ᴥ ㅇʔ but also fun fact, when i was writing the fight scene, i legit had to grab a chopstick and try to reenact the scene i needed to write for in the kitchen ʕ ꆤ ᴥ ꆤʔ BUT moving on from that, thank you so much for being so patient with the series and hope you enjoy this special cup of classic black coffee ʕ•ᴥ•ʔノ♡
BEFORE READING, I NEED YOU TO BE AWARE OF THIS:
1. the whole story belongs to Gege Akutami and the credits go to them and them only.
2. the spell curses used belong to Tite Kubo due to them being the ‘Kidos’ being used on the manga and anime ‘Bleach’ - but none is mentioned in this chapter.
2.5. for the ‘cursed spells’/kidos (bleach) i will link this video here and tell you the time stamp to check out what i am intending to show - remember i add a few twist here and there by adding the katana to link with Y/N’s cursed technique : hopefully this video is slightly better...
Destructive Curse Spell Number Sixty Three : Raikoho (6:29-6:44)
Destructive Curse Spell Number One : Sho (4:56-5:04)
3. if you are confused on anything, please don’t hesitate to message me since i know this whole thing is so confusing.
A multitude of running footsteps continuously pounded against the wooden floor below, as everyone was determined to get away from the special-grade curse that was chasing them at this very moment in time, as what followed everyone was a vast wave of wooden branches that was violently destroying the corridor behind them.
“Are you all right, Inumaki-senpai?” Fushiguro asked with concern enveloping his overall tone, as the mentioned upperclassmen seemed to be struggling right now.
“Salmon,” Inumaki replied, in an attempt to reassure his classmate that he was doing and going to be alright, when in fact it looked as if it was the complete opposite currently.
“Here it comes!” Kamo yelled out to warn everyone as he spun around to face his opponent, leading the cursed spirit to launch a few sharp branches towards him as well as you, once you fully turned around to make sure that your classmate from the Kyoto side was going to be safe.
“Stop,” Inumaki commanded leading his curse technique to come to effect as his voice not only echoed through the hallways but forced the curse and its attack to come into a sudden halt, leading Kamo the given opportunity to launch his technique as a rapid long-ranged shot of blood directly attacked towards the curse’s head (which was somewhat covered in burns due to your last technique before everyone started to flee by your command) causing some fragments of it to chip off to which surprised Fushiguro slight as you stood at the top of the stairs just above Inumaki.
“Hurry! He’s just gonna heal right away!” Kamo instructed everyone as he ran up the stairs causing you to give one last look at the curse before rushing up the wooden steps as Kamo has told you.
From what you could observe, the branches seemed to be the curse’s weakest point since Kamo’s last attack managed to hit its head causing you to come to that conclusion while your curse spell managed to cause some permanent damage to the curse due to the damage that remained after. However, even if you did want to continuously use the same curse technique over and over again, to not only cause the building that everyone was residing in to collapses and burn down but it also put your comrades in danger, something that you ultimately wanted to avoid at all cost.
Hearing a small but noticeable cough, you quickly turned your head back slightly to discover Inumaki’s face glistening with sweat as he took another sip of his medicine leading you to become more concerned about how much longer he could since this plan that suddenly came about wasn’t the most practical of them all, yet...it was the best for now.
Right as you turned back to look forward, you noticed that you were coming to a door leading you to push yourself further as you reached your arm out to slam the door open before jumping over the balcony to the roof that was slightly down below leading the boys to follow after. However, mere seconds later, there was an explosive sound erupting from behind causing you to quickly turn back to find that the curse had already made a wooden pathway with its branches as a way to walk over to everyone.
“Inumaki-senpai will stop it. Don’t worry, just go,” Fushiguro mentioned as he guided Nue towards the curse, leading the shikigami to fly straight towards the opponent with no hesitation.
“No wait!” you shouted, as you reached your whole arm out like you were able to reach the owl-like creature in time. However, the second Fushiguro turned to face you to see what was wrong, the curse’s arm swiftly punctured the shikigami straight through causing Inumaki to collapse to the ground with blood seeping out from his mouth leading you to realise that your upperclassman was at his limit.
On the other hand, before you could even react, you heard someone behind you being thrown causing you to look behind only to discover Kamo’s body being flung to the other side with Fushiguro right behind him to catch his fall leaving you in the middle on the rooftop between your classmate and the curse.
“Are you alive, Kamo-san?” Fushiguro questioned in a panic since he was not only troubled by the fact that one of the students could be in life-critical condition but with you also being in danger due to where you were standing currently and him having no idea why the curse was going after you.
Steadily, your hand slowly moved towards the dark blue metal pole that has been hanging on your belt for some time as you hooked your katana horizontally on your back, so your other hand will be free to freely manoeuvre the weapon of choice that you were choosing to handle the curse.
However, it seemed as if Fushiguro had other ideas as his hands shakily began to hesitantly raise up as if he was going to summon another shikigami into the battlefield. Although, before he was able to completely commit to his plan, there was a sudden pressure laid upon his shoulder catching him by surprise as he turned to look back at Inumaki, who was somewhat struggling to stand.
“Mustard leaf,” Inumaki stated with determination with a hint of tiredness lacing in his tone, leading you to turn your head back to notice him beginning to stagger towards you.
“Inumaki-senpai...That’s enough!” Fushiguro mentioned in a worried tone causing you to grab onto his sleeve once he stood by your side, only for him to present you a small smile once he turned to you - as if to tell you that everything was going to be okay.
“Blast away!” Inumaki suddenly roared leading to curse’s body to instantly flung itself to the other rooftop that was positioned above you just a slight bit before he fell to his knees with blood began to profusely run down his mouth causing you to kneel down by his side as you supported his body with one hand while your other hand gently on his neck to begin the process of reverse cursed energy to ensure that he was going to be stable before someone was able to take him to Shoko - if someone even could at this point.
However, it seemed as if Inumaki’s attempt was futile as the special grade curse sat up with no issue at all leading you to wonder how strong this curse was since it didn’t seem to take any damage whatsoever from Kamo’s and Inumaki’s attempts leaving you to the conclusion that you had to use your curse technique at this point.
“You can’t cut me with that dull blade,” the curse stated before raising its arm to not only block but shatter the weapon Maki was swinging towards it leaving her to look at it with widened eyes before tutting in annoyance leading Fushiguro to jump over you to attack the curse with his weapon once again, only for him to miss slightly as he managed to slice off a piece of the branch that acted as its eyes.
“Now this sword isn’t so bad, but you could just give me the girl as we will call it a day,” the curse commented while healing the tattered branch causing it to grow back, leaving no trace of it ever being cut off by Fushiguro.
Although, it seemed as if Fushiguro and Maki had something else planned as your classmate reached into his shadow that was manifesting below him to replace his sword with another cursed tool before giving it to Maki, who tossed the broken tool she had to the side.
“I have something even better. This one feels disgusting to use, though,” Maki mentioned before quickly unfolding the weapon to reveal a three-sectioned staff before swiftly spinning around to swing the weapon across towards the curse, resulting in the curse to block the attack, only for it to be violently and forcibly pushed forward into the forest.
“Gojo, run towards the edge of the veil and stay there!” Fushiguro yelled out to you before him and Maki sprinted forward towards the direction to where the curse was located, causing you to stare at him in confusion before instantly turning back to check in Kamo was still right behind you to which lead to carefully place Inumaki down on his back as you rush towards the Kyoto student’s side before you proceeded to turn his body to discover that his face was damaged badly causing you to place your hand over his head leading you to heal what you could before transport arrive.
On the other hand, before you could even worry about how you were going to get both Inumaki and Kamo to the end of the veil, you suddenly heard someone calling out your name causing you to peer up to the sky, only to find both Itadori and Todo coming down towards you in a speed that not even Sonic the Hedgehog could even achieve.
“GOJO!” Itadori yelled before powerfully landing right in front of you, leading you swiftly to grab on to the top of the roof to maintain some balance while using your other arm to cling onto Kamo’s body to make sure he didn’t fall as well.
“Itadori!” you replied in relief causing your classmate to smile at you even in the tough situation you were in right now.
“Gojo, Nishimiya is going to get those two out of the veil but according to her, the veil is an anti-Gojo Satoru one,” Todo inform you causing you to look at the first-grade sorcerer with widened eyes before you turned your head to the side to observe the veil that was enveloping all the students right now.
“Anti-Gojo?” you muttered under your breath, before turning your head back towards the muscular student, only to see him smirk confidently at you before Itadori took his hand out as if to help you up.
“Don’t worry about the other two, they will be safe, we all need to head to where the curse is right now!” Itadori mentioned leading you to turn to him as you quickly noticed the amount of cursed energy that was surrounding him right now, causing you to wonder how much he has improved over the past few months he was away.
Placing Kamo gently on his back, you grabbed onto Itadori’s hand causing your friend to pull you up before Todo stretched out his arm behind you, trying to convey for you to sit there so both he could carry you to the destination where you needed to be at this very moment in time.
“Todo...I need you to follow a plan,” you sudden declared, causing him to turn to you with a confused look while you seated yourself on his large arm (which surprisingly managed to keep you still with the help of Itadori, who placed his arm behind your back). “Just promise me you won’t tell anyone about my curse technique at all, not even a single word of it,” you said to him with a threatening tone causing itadori to look at you with a somewhat frightened expression on his face while his friend peered at you with a smile.
“I’m fine with that, but I also need you to help me with one thing,” Todo mentioned as he turned his head to face forward.
“And what would that be?” you asked.
‘Ah...this is going to be a drag…’

"Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle! Destructive Curse Spell number sixty-three: Raikoho!" you chanted, as you placed your hand out like a claw leading to an exciting orb of yellow concentrated cursed energy to manifest itself within your palm, before rapidly striking down towards the targeted special grade curse like a destructive lighting bolt leading Todo to grab Maki within his grasp a second before the cursed spell hit the ground which leads to your opponent being paralysed.
“Keeping to the deal?” Todo asked you with a smile on his face causing you to shift your eye to the side, where he stood before unhooking the metal pool from your belt.
“Yeah, I am,” you answered causing him and Itadori to move to the side for a second - which Itadori was confused about since he didn’t know what show he was in for.
Fushiguro, who was crouching down with a speck of blood trailed down on the corner of his mouth began to argue against the appearance of you and Itadori. However, it seemed as if you weren’t listening to him to or to any of the student behind you at all since you needed to concentrate on both the situation you were in right now but also on the little deal you made with Todo - even though, regardless if you were able to show him the technique or not, you knew that Todo was keeping his word about keeping your technique a secret...that was what you could rely on him as well as his strength.
‘Black Flash huh...now that is a drag…’
“Now that you are here, why don’t you come peacefully?” the curse asked, causing you to mentally sigh as it was causing your concentration to waver, but you really weren’t in the mood to answer.
Stretching out your arm, you held the dark blue metal poll right in front of the curse before letting the weapon extend itself before forming an extremely sharp blade at the top leading the curse to look at it in confusion since it seemed to notice that your katana was missing due to it remembering that it was handing behind your lower back area.
ꕥ
“This is my gift to you! Think of it as a welcome to the Gojo Clan gift!” Gojo excitedly announced as he presented you a gift box with a bright smile on his face, causing you to look at the gift in surprise since you didn’t expect him to give you anything when you came to his clan estate but also by the fact that the ribbon tied into a bow was the same colour as his eyes.
‘I don’t know if it’s because he is being egotistical or he just like the colour blue’
“Thank you,” you said with much gratitude before taking the box away from his grasp leading him to gleefully chant that you open it in front of him since he was desperate to see your reaction.
Looking at the box, you couldn’t help but notice a little note saying ‘a gift from a father to a daughter’ leading the corners of your lip to twitch a little since you came to the realisation that it had been a while that someone had ever given you a gift before you processed to tug the tail of the bow before lifting the lip once the ribbon was fully removed.
“A metal...pole?” you said in a confused tone as you tilted your head to the side, before letting your fingertips touch the ice-cold metal as they began to trace the gold detailing that was embroidering the gift.
“No, no dear, it’s a polearm that just needs to be extended with cursed energy! It was made by your ancestor during the Heian era and I’m surprised it managed it stay intact after all that time here in the Gojo Clan since it was a gift from them to us,” Gojo informed you, as he took a sip of the sweetened coffee that you had brought from him before coming to his estate. “I thought that it might be better if it was in your hands from now on, besides it does technically belong to you,” Gojo suggested with a bright smile on his face, once you lifted the weapon out of the box to observe it more.
Turning it around in the light the room provided, you couldn’t help but suddenly notice a small design of what seemed to be a small flower depicting a tsubaki painted in a light pink right in the middle of the metal pole causing you to stare at it in absolute curiosity.
“Thank you so much, Gojo-sensei,” you stated once again in appreciation once you placed it back into the box causing Gojo to pout at you which led you to look at him in complete confusion the second you looked up to face him.
“CALL ME DAD, Y/N!”
ꕥ
“Are you even listening?” the cursed questioned you as if seemed to be getting annoyed at the fact that you were just standing in front of it with no emotion attached to your face, causing the students behind you to look forward since they were beginning to become confused on why you haven’t attacked yet.
Although, it seemed like it didn’t have to wait long since you used your other hand to grab onto the pole before beginning to spin the now extended polearm aggressively leading the curse to now be on its guard since it had no idea what you were planning on now.
‘Black Flash is a distortion in space that occurs when cursed energy is applied with 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit, it can amplify a normal attack’s force by 2.5. It’s such a drag process but since this curse likes to get up close and personal, it seems like the best choice for now’
Suddenly, you quickly grabbed the polearm halting the spinning motion before using the ball of your foot to push yourself swiftly across the lake to appear in front of the curse, catching it by surprise since it seemed like you had just teleported right in front of them, only for you to violently swing your polearm down onto its shoulder leading it to groan in pain causing you to speedily spin around behind it leading the polearm to now swing across before forcibly landing the sharp blade to its side, suddenly causing the formation of a familiar black spark that danced around the area you were in like electricity currents causing Todo (who was observing from the sideline) smile at the scene with confidence, while Itadori looked at the same battle in shock.
However, before Todo could even call you to remove yourself from the battle, you instantly placed your hand above the other in order to rapidly rotate the polearm leading the other end to strike its other shoulder (while the blade was now facing downwards) causing another flash of black to appear once again to which lead the curse to cry out in agony, causing everyone to admire the fight with such astonishment.
“Gojo! Switch!” Todo yelled out, leading your concentration to instantly waver once again which caused you to push the heel of your back foot to quickly retreat to the side where everyone was before the curse could even afflict any attack on you in retaliation on what you had just done to it.
“Told you there is nothing to worry about,” Todo mentioned as he looked down at Fushiguro causing the shikigami user to look at you with his surprise before turning to look at Itadori.
“If you die again, I’ll kill you myself!” Fushiguro declared causing you to look at him with a complete perplexed look on your face since the sentence he just stated didn’t make any sense, leading Panda to extend his arm out to carry his lower classmen to the other side of the veil.
“Pandash!” Panda yelled out before carrying both Fushiguro and Maki to safety.
“Guess I can’t afford to die now,” Itadori muttered before rolling his shoulder to prepare for his turn on the battlefield with determination after witnessing your performance.
“I won’t lift a finger to help, Itadori. Not until you land a Black Flash. If you can’t land a Black Flash, then I’ll just watch you die, no matter what happens to you,” Todo declared with his arms crossed with one of his hands holding on to your katana, leading you to stand up straight with a dumbfounded look on your face after what he had just yelled out before taking your original weapon from his grasp.
‘HUH?! WHAT WAS THE POINT IN MY LITTLE PERFORMANCE THEN?!’
“Got it!” Itadori replied after letting out a breath, causing you to look at your classmate with the same surprised expression, even though his back was facing you right now.
“Don’t you think that is a bit dangerous?” you queried as you turned back to look at the Kyoto student, only for him to give you a serious look on his face as if to say that he believed in Itadori and his threat was just a fluke.
“I guess I can’t stop you then...I already know he’s got this,” you muttered before shrugging your shoulders since you knew there was no way Itadori wanted you to interrupt this lesson.
To be honest, Black Flash was the perfect move for him.
Suddenly, you heard a loud explosion from behind causing you to turn your whole body around to find Itadori punching the ground leading a huge splash of water to arise before noticing two pieces of rock attempting to strike the curse, only for them to be deflected the second it touched its hand.
Once the water dropped down, you witnessed Itadori’s fast reflexes as he managed to dodge the curse’s attack, landing a few kicks towards its stomach before Itadori used his last kick to target its face. However, you could tell then intensity was low meaning he wouldn’t even hit a single Black Flash with an attempt like that, only for the result you had come to happen as he attempted the technique once he landed a punch against the curse’s torso, only for Itadori to force himself back once the curse retaliates by trying to hit him with its branches, only for the effort to be futile.
“My friend,” Todo said causing Itadori to look at him, only to receive a smack across the face leading you to look at the scene with a fed-up expression since the connection on Todo’s hand and Itadori’s cheek was quite loud for a normal slap to sound.
‘What...The...Hell?’
“Anger is an important trigger for sorcerers, sometimes then can be taken down purely because they accidentally angered their foe and the opposite is also true. Sometimes they lose because their own anger disrupts their cursed energy, so they can’t exercise their abilities. Your friend has been wounded, and worse yet, they’ve rained on your honeymoon with me, you best friend, so I can really understand why you’d be boiling with rage,” Todo expressed with understanding, only for you to look at him with an extremely fed-up expression depicted on your face.
‘I don’t think the ‘best friend’ bit is why he is really angry, you drag’
“But that rage is too much for you, put it away for now,” Todo then informed Itadori before slapping his face again leading you to vocally express your confusion about the scene that was happening right in front of you.
“Huh?” you uttered out.
“Are those stray thoughts gone now?” Todo questioned with a small smile plastered on his face.
“Yeah, not a single one left. Thank you so much, best friend!” Itadori replied with a confident smile on your face leading you to tilt your head to the side as you witnessed this scene - if you were going to tell this to Kugisaki, you wouldn’t know if she would believe you or not…
Walking back out into the river, Itadori raised his fist up while peering at the curse with an intense stare only for his opponent to quickly push itself forward leading Itadori to follow as branches began to invade his side. However, it seemed as if Itadori hadn’t noticed them at all since he was directing going straight down the middle, leading his fist to make contact with the curse’s torso causing the manifestation of the black spark that you and Todo were waiting for.
“He did...it,” you muttered in amazement as the curse’s branches suddenly disappeared while its body was forcibly pushed back.
“Now you understand the taste of cursed energy,” Todo mentioned as he proceeded to walk into the shallow river with a proud smile on his face. “Up until now, you’ve just been throwing an ingredient you’ve never tasted before into a pot and boiling it without knowing why. But after experiencing Black Flash and understanding the taste of your ingredient, your cursed energy, you stand on a completely different level as a chef than you did three seconds ago. Congratulations, brother, you can become strong,” Todo then expressed with joy leading your classmate to look at him with a concentrated expression on what he was trying to explain.
‘I guess that is a good way to describe it. To be honest, it is kind of similar to Gojo’s teaching but a tiny bit better…’
“It can heal?!” Itadori asked in shock, as it noticed the growth of the curses’ hand.
“A cursed spirit’s body is made up of cursed energy. Unlike us, they don’t need any advanced reversed cursed technique to heal like how Gojo does. An injury like that is nothing to a special-grade, but there’s no doubt that it shaves away their cursed energy and if you crush their head, it’s game set,” Todo explained before turning to look at you with a
“Now, shall we get cooking?” Todo asked you and Itadori in an assertive tone, leading you to look at him with a surprised expression before sighing as if you had a choice to not fight anyway.
However, before you could even take a single step into the river, you notice something from the corner of your eye causing you to raise your polearm swiftly seconds before you were now suddenly violently pushed back to extreme lengths away from the battle you were going to involve yourself in causing Itadori to yell out your name in complete panic. Although, there was no point in chasing after you, as you were now concealed within the multitude of trees that were surrounding the area with a hooded intruder, who was now keeping you at more than an arm’s length away from the two students you were supposed to keep an eye on.
“Destructive Curse Spell number one: Sho!” you chanted, leading a small ball of concentrated cursed energy to form in the middle on your polearm leading to the weapon and the person, who was pushing you, to be blasted back leading a distance to be created between you both giving you the space to press your feet down onto the ground to gradually pause your movements as you placed your hand on the ground to give you more support.
“Who are you?” you asked in anger before standing up straight in a defensive position and you aimed the polearm’s blade downwards to the ground, leading the person to raise up what seemed to be a pair of tonfa’s like the ones Fushiguro had earlier during the event, only for them to be metal rather than wood.
“WHO ARE YOU?!” you queried once again, getting irritated at the fact that the person was just giving you the silent treatment which caused them to giggle slightly as your frustration.
“Isn’t that a warm welcome for someone that took care of you so dearly?” the person spoke with a soft tone, causing you to freeze up in shock after realising how familiar that tone was to you to which lead the instructor right in front of you to slowly remove their hood leading their hair to spill out as well as to slowly reveal their face to you under the light the tree could, causing you to let out a breath of shock as your eyes widen at the sight in front of you.
“Mother?”

your type - maki zenin x reader
request: “hi! would you be able to write fluff for maki and a female reader during/after the baseball game?” - @hvnnxh
summary: when todo makes a realization about the readers type, he takes it upon himself to set her up with maki during their exchange event (genre: fluff, kinda rivals to lovers ig)
warnings: a couple swear words, maki might be slightly ooc??
word count: 1.6k
a/n: this is slightly off from the prompt but hopefully it’s alright! i left their relationship a little up in the air in the end just bc i didn’t want it to be too rushed but i hope u like it!
if there was one regret you had after becoming a jujutsu sorcerer, it wouldn’t be a failed exorcism or hours spent in the infirmary from various injuries, no. your biggest regret would be telling aoi todo your type.
though, to be fair it’s not like you’d known that the exact type of girl you had described as your type happened to go to your sister school in tokyo. it’s not like you’d known that your classmates would constantly give you sneaky glances on the drive to your exchange event. even the famously stoic noritoshi found himself rolling his eyes when you tried to act indifferent at the mention of maki zenin’s name.
they had always noticed how your eyes tended to wander in her direction when the tokyo students would come over to train with you guys. the only problem was the fact that you barely manage to speak to her, always feeling intimidated by her confidence. though, that didn’t stop your classmates from egging you on to realize your crush on the girl.
it’s not like they were wrong in assuming that you’d be into mai’s twin sister. the problem was how insistent they seemed to be on trying to get the two of you together, which seemed to always end in you being humiliated.
when you met todo when both of you were first years and he hit you with his signature “what’s your type?” question, you answered rather honestly, in fear that he may get angry if you told a lie, or worse you told a lie AND it was a boring one.
“i guess if i had to describe my dream woman, i’d say a girl who’s confident in herself, one who doesn’t take shit from others.” you started as todo sized you up while mai looked at the ground, seeming disinterested. “and not that looks are everything, but tall girls and dark hair are pretty attractive as well.”
you heard a sniffle and looked up to make eye contact with todo, who was tearing up?
“wow y/n, i was worried you’d be a boring one, but it’s clear that you’re confident in what you like. i think you and i will get along well.” he gave you a wide grin and wrapped an arm around your shoulder to pull you in for a hug while you just smiled awkwardly, just wanting to go to class.
now todo was right that the two of you got along well usually, but that didn’t really apply when he used his booming voice to announce that “that maki chick from tokyo is totally your type that you told me when we first met!” immediately following the first part of your exchange event. at the sound of her name, the green haired girl turned to see you glaring at todo while trying to hide your embarrassment as the rest of your friends stifled laughs at the scene he’d created.
after their teasing died down, you turned forward again to make eye contact with maki, hoping to apologize for how embarrassing your classmates were. but unlike the irritated expression you expected her to wear, she instead just gave you a soft smirk before turning back to her underclassmen, who instantly sent her whispers that you could only imagine were asking what the hell just happened.
but surely you wouldn’t see much of her during the second part of the event, it would probably just be a relay race or something where you barely had to interact, right?
wrong.
your next competition would be a baseball game, where you would spend over an hour around the tokyo students, which would inevitably lead to more of your classmates poking fun at you. unknown to you, however, the same thing was happening to maki with her teammates.
“why is your face all red? do you need to rest?” itadori had said as he inspected her face following todo announcing to everyone that she was your type. in response, she just knocked him on the head with her staff and kept walking ahead while nobara and itadori grinned at each other, apparently their strong willed second year had a soft spot for you.
“you know, girls totally have a thing for baseball uniforms.” todo said to you matter of factly as you tied up your cleats.
“and you’re telling me this because…?” you replied, hoping to come across as nonchalant.
he grinned at you with a mischievous look in his eyes as he rested his elbow atop your head for support. “who knows, maybe maki is one of those girls. plus, in the event that takada somehow sees this game, i think she’ll be pretty into this look!” he said confidently. you looked away and muttered some bullshit about how you didn’t care about what she thought about how you looked before you were interrupted by the locker room door swinging open to reveal miwa.
“come on guys! we start in a few minutes, and i’m sure you guys would hate to disappoint the other team.” she finished her sentence by turning to you with an almost catlike smile. you tilted your head back and groaned. her too?
the kyoto team would be batting first, giving you some time to relax in the dugout before you went up to bat. just as you were practicing your swing for batting next, your zoning out was cut off by the sound of a ball hitting todo square in the jaw. your hand flew to cover your mouth, not from concern, but to stop yourself from laughing. maki’s mock concern for todo was put on hold for a moment when you stopped trying to hide your amusement and letting your loud laugh reach the ears of your peers. she paused for a moment, not bothering to hide the smile that crept across her face at the combination of your adorable laughter, and the fact that she had been the cause of it.
“nice hit maki!” you looked up at her with a grin, while todo gave you a look of betrayal. though his glare didn’t last long when he noticed the exchange between the two of you. in his mind he was probably crediting himself for egging you on to realize your small crush on the girl, as if he was some kind of matchmaker.
the game went on pretty steadily from there, a few stolen glances between you and maki contrasted by how you cheered for momo whenever she managed to catch a ball hit by her.
the game ended with the tokyo team just managing to get by with a one point lead. you all watched them celebrate their win, before you turned back to your team, complimenting them on their hard work in hopes of lifting their spirits.
you turned back to the other team to see them loudly announcing how maki should go get them some food from the vending machine, every so often glancing to you to gage your reaction. you jumped at the feeling of todo shaking your shoulder from behind, announcing that you should get some food for the kyoto team. these guys really were the worst at being subtle, weren’t they?
instead of protesting though, you just shrugged his hand off your shoulder and made your way to the vending machines, wherever the hell those were.
after a couple minutes of making your way around seemingly every path surrounding the tokyo school, you saw maki, whose arms were hugging bags of chips close to her, and waved to her to call her over for help.
“hey, i’m kinda lost, do you think you could help me find the vending machines?” you gave a sheepish grin as you asked.
“yeah, why not?” she shrugged and smiled.
you guys walked in comfortable silence, considering your destination was pretty much just around the corner. when you realized this, you groaned from embarrassment.
“thanks for that, sorry, i should’ve known it was close by.” you chuckled awkwardly.
“no worries.” she smiled, pulling off her cap to fan her face.
god, what business did she have to look that good when covered in sweat and dirt?
“our school is pretty confusing to get around. you know if you wanted to come around again sometime, i’d be happy to show you around the place.” she leaned her head down slightly, still maintaining eye contact with you. you just nodded in response, trying to keep your composure with the close proximity between the two of you.
“you know,” she continued, “i was pretty glad to hear i was your type.” she leaned down just a little further, so your noses were practically touching.
“because you’re my type too.” she smirked.
unfortunately for the both of you, your little moment was interrupted by itadori turning the corner, it seemed like he had gone searching for the two of you.
“hey i was just looking for you-“ he cut himself off when he saw what he could only assume was the two of you seconds away from a kiss.
“sorry!” he rushed away, feeling embarrassed at the thought that he had somehow invaded your privacy.
you sighed annoyedly, knowing that you would inevitably have to deal with a million questions from your classmates about whatever it was itadori would tell them.
“aw come on, let them believe what they wanna believe.” maki smiled widely about how easily you became flustered. “they’ll leave us be as long as we bring them back some good food.” she lazily swung an arm around your shoulders as you slipped money into the machine.
maybe you’d actually have to thank todo for making you tell him your type after all.

taking the last two with her on shopping trips as slaves to carry her bags.
by the way, they pay for her clothes.
don't argue with her, because nobara will change anyone's mind.
but inside, she's a warrior girl.
she carries a hammer in her bag, so don't you dare lift her skirt.
like nanami, she's always on style.
needs a psychiatrist for she is clearly ready to kill any curse in a radius of 50 km if the curse interferes with her shopping.
maki zenin aka she hits you from the turntable without the damned energy.
without her glasses she can't tell a person from a garbage bag.
she will hit you without using the cursed energy.
doesn't deserve to be hated by her family.
wants to be strong and independent.
she has a panda friend.
wants nothing more than to take care of her loved ones.
you have two choices: fear her or love her <3
aoi todo aka takada's most loyal fan
a devoted bts and k-pop fan.
knows all the songs of blackpink.
fanboy to the marrow.
the same dude who idealizes/imagines his ideal world before going to sleep.
if you mention takada chan in a conversation there's no stopping him.
best friend, in fact.
for yuji and takada chan will kill anyone
if you want to be friends with him, you have to know his dream ideal.
don't be afraid to add information about them/add more characters.
[i know todo doesn't know bts and k-pop it's just a joke and a lot of my humor, just so you understand what they are]
kudos and reblogs are welcome <3

hi hi cadence sama can i get 22 with ofc yuuji pls 😌😍
A/N: tag yourself I’m megumi😌
Pairing: Itadori Yuuji x reader
Word count: 816
22. dragging your friends to help take your cheesy couple photos even though they are all unwilling because no one wants to look at you two pretending to kiss each other for the camera
It wasn’t easy finding a trustworthy person to be your camera person.
Kugisaki was judgmental about taking pictures for social media and she would not let you walk away with an inch of skin unscathed as she kept remarking on how tacky couple pictures are. Maki wouldn’t even bother to entertain you and if you hand your phone to Inumaki, you might just get it back with a camera roll full of his selfies and no pictures of you. You didn’t even want to think about asking Gojo to help even though he seemed rather eager, wanting to bury yourself in a hole just as the thought of asking your teacher of all people to third wheel.
And Panda... He was a panda, could the screen even detach his fingers?
By elimination, it left only one person you could turn to for this sacred task.
Fushiguro tried to walk away the moment he saw you looking around with your phone in hand and a smiling Itadori in the other, but he was still one second too late.
“Fushiguro!”
It was too late for him to pretend that he did not hear you when you, as sharp as always, knew immediately that he could not run away from the split second you made eye contact. He knew what you were looking for and sadly, it seemed he was your victim of the day.
“Can you help us take a picture?” you held your phone out simultaneously as you asked, making it quite clear that he was never given an option to choose to start with, “please?”
“Huh...” Fushiguro exhaled, reluctantly taking your phone when you shoved it towards him once more when he didn’t respond, “and can I please ask why?”
“It’s our five-month anniversary,” Itadori scratched the back of his neck, flashing a wide grin towards you as his face grew flushed.
Fushiguro wanted to mention that there was no such thing as a five-month “anniversary”, but he knew the couple in front of him had nothing but pink bubbles in their heads and he had no interest in spending even more time on this than it absolutely needed to.
He sighed, watching in silence as you two excitedly talk about what pose you should do.
“I’ll come back when you’re ready-”
“No! We’re ready!” you stopped him, “Just keep snapping, we’ll pick the one that works when we’re done.”
Fushiguro had only managed to turn half way around before you crushed his escape plan. He did not know if he had managed to keep his face straight instead of letting them twist together when Itadori held you up in a bridal carry with ease, grinning ear to ear when you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Remember to use portrait mode,” you remarked.
“Hm...”
“And can you hold the phone sideways?” Itadori chimed in.
Fushiguro held down his urge to roll his eyes as he nodded forcefully, trying to be as professional as he could. His helpful spirit died little by little as you showed no sign of being done, only seeming to get more and more into it as it went on.
Small pecks on your boyfriend’s cheek turned into full-on kisses when Itadori couldn’t stop from laughing at the ticklish feeling, hoisting you up his arms when he kissed you square on the lips, until staying still got unbearable and you kissed him back. His fingers curled under your knees, his smile spreading wider and wider when you nuzzled your face into the nape of his neck. You put lip gloss on before taking the shot and seeing the plumpness up close made his face hot. It was now smeared over his own lips and the sweetness only made him dip his head down for more as you giggled.
You were both very into it, very much so in your own world as you curled up in his strong arms.
So much so that the suffering of the other person who had to watch all of that happen was completely forgotten.
Fushiguro Megumi had no idea that time could pass by so slowly until Itadori finally put you down. It was a wonder that he could feel so drained even though he wasn’t doing anything that required his energy.
He silently let out a heavy breath when you took your phone back from him, already ready to take a stride in the direction of his dorm room when you were scrolling through the camera roll with Itadori leaning down to look over your shoulder.
“Oh, these are good!” you beamed, linking your arm into Itadori’s as you showed him the pictures.
Fushiguro sighed. It was a hassle, but it was good that his friends were being happy he supposed.
The little bit of satisfaction he felt cracked when he heard what Itadori said next.
“We’ll come to you for help again next time!”
