I saw people in the UU server discussing how Tella's speakers work, so now I'm gonna give my main hc here since I'm too shy to write it down there directly lmao.

SO. It all started with this extra:

The red part says: "Holes like Nico's" which made me think that, actually, Tella's speakers and Nico's pods work quite similarly:

They both are connected to their brain; the pods allow Nico to store and get information, the speakers allow Tella to transmit his thoughts into words and, on a physical level, both are capable of levitating.

On a meta-level, that could be the reason why Tzk decided to match these two up during spring arc (we didn't have enough information about either of them at the time, that's why I consider it more "meta")

But then, where did Tella get Nico's tech?

Billy got it for him. It's not a confirmation, but my most solid piece of evidence:

Nico and Mico are showing Billy HOW the tech works, Mico literally is holding what I can assume is the blueprint or the dossier about it; and at the parallel, we have Tella (recruiting Rip and Latla). I don't think is a coincidence.

We also know Under had the tech/knowledge to adapt Nico's tech- they made the mechanical arm and goggles that Creed uses and Latla's broom bike. There are also the gates that we never learned how they work (I don't think is an artifact as many believe, mostly because Billy says that using them leaves a "trace of energy" that Union could track; no artifact does this for all that we know).

This leads me to my main hc: Tella's abilities with his speakers aren't related to UnTell, at least not completely. Like Nico use of his pods doesn't require him to use UnForgettable, just his brain power, Tella's speakers, when he uses them to attack or other things besides talking or "stopping", also only uses his brain; he is strong like that.

it isn't based on any scene in particular, just my overall interpretation and visualization of things I felt. mostly bad things. but apparently human brains enjoy that. so let's go

I'm gonna ramble now, buckle up

Frankly that's the first personal piece I've drawn in months, and I'm grateful for it. I'm grateful that I was able to feel emotions and wanted to draw something again

I struggle a lot with empathy and understanding of other's feelings and displaying my own but. I hope people will feel something by looking at it, too

I've got inspired by the old tale that we used to read on literature lessons, altho I for the life of me can't remember the name of it, or anything else from the plot for that matter. There were a competition for retrieving the jug from the bottom of the river, where many men tried and failed, as they couldn't reach it. As you can already tell, it was a reflection of the jug that was hanged on a tree all along.

I liked the concept of something unreachable being seen as being very close to you :) hence the whole water situation

generally water is seen as a positive symbol in art but for me it's cold, slippery, you can't see shit in it, misleading and uncomfortable. go figure

and I really like how CL displays yellow as a color with negative connotation while it's classically being the The Most Happy Coded Color Ever.

while I'm at it I wanted to share a song I associate with caged lungs in particular

I would have liked to talk more about how awesome the fic is and how invested I'm in the plot and characters and how noticing details and parallels makes my brain go brrrr but I'm shy and not really eloquent with my words. I hope you will get the idea anyway. I love it <3

i hate the idea of sansa ending up as this cold ice queen when through out the books one of her defining characteristics has been kindness. kindness to dontos when joffrey wanted him executed, kindness to the woman with the baby during the riot, kindness to an injured lancel despite cersei's words, kindness through warning margaery of the type of person joffrey is, kindness to sandor clegane and sweetrobin in the vale. sansa even says that once she was queen, she'd wish to rule with kindness when cersei encourages her to rule with fear during the battle of the blackwater. i cant imagine a world where grrm would genuinely go with the idea that only once you refuse love and warmth can you rule

ive said it before and ill say it again: not nearly enough fanworks talk about THIS part of the souyo dynamic, the weird savior complex and trust yu has w adachi directly breaching the trust that yosuke has put on him. not only here, but in the game too, when yu chooses to meet with adachi in the tv world by himself without telling the others, yosuke waits for him outside anyways bc he knew something was up. yosuke feels betrayed by the fact that yu trusts adachi not to kill him right then and there more than he trusts the team to help him, but he still welcomes him back with a smile. because yu is the leader and yosuke will trust in him no matter what, even if it means watching him walk into the mouth of the man who killed the girl he liked, knowing full well it could snap shut at any moment and break his heart all over again.

basically too many souyo fics about internalized homophobia and not enough about all the other weird shit they have going on.
