I dont know how borderline this knowledge is but. There's this old Marvel series released in like 2017-2019 called Cloak and Dagger. I don't remember what happened. I'm fairly sure it was on amazon. I still think it was one of the greatest Marvel tv series they ever released. I do not know why. I have heard exactly 0 people mention its existence.

rahhhh random rant because i’m angry hater mood i HATE HATE HATE people who think miss goldberg did anything to marvin. saw someone go “set those sails is a villain song and people need to accept miss goldberg is a bad person” i’m screaming and crying and clawing at the walls you don’t fucking understand it you don’t understand the goddamn musical.

in trousers is at its core about misogyny, that is its core theme, which is shown by how marvin hurts the women in his life, specifically his wife, his sweetheart, and miss goldberg. it would conflict the themes and narrative if miss goldberg hurt marvin, as this would diminish what marvin does to the other women. marvin does come up with excuses for his actions/ tries to garner sympathy in the musical (im talking 1979 vers here, i’m not as well versed on the 1985) he is immediately hit with trina shutting him down with her telling us how his actions have hurt her more than they’ve hurt him.

another thing is that the women are mostly not themselves, but rather versions of themselves that exist in marvin’s head. this doesn’t apply to trina, as she is the only woman in the musical who tells her own story. for example, your lips and me and its reprise tell us very specifically events that are happening in her life and how she’s feeling, she also tells her about her past. she also addresses marvin directly in breakfast over sugar.

whereas his sweetheart and miss goldberg do not have songs like this. “my highschool sweetheart” doesn’t tell us anything about his sweetheart other than that she’s his sweetheart, she’s a person, and that she wants marvin to pay attention to her more. but there honestly isn’t much in the musical to confirm that she actually is a person at all, she insists her own existence but marvin never pays attention to her or even addresses her existence, in childhood or adulthood.

miss goldberg is interesting. she doesn’t play into marvin’s fantasy and feels like more of a real person than his sweetheart, having her own personality and opinions. she also sings i am wearing a hat where she seems to tell part of a story that could be her own, though it doesn’t really get more specific than “i’m wearing a hat, i am unloved”. she never quite seems to behave like a schoolteacher either, within the story she seems to be more of a narrator, likely due to her importance in marvin’s story. she is the biggest case of marvin insisting his heterosexually, while also forcing him to realise he is gay. she is not actually herself within the musical, the real miss goldberg is probably nothing like her. this is an internalised version of her than marvin came up with, though it’s more authentic feeling than his sweetheart since her role is to pull marvin out of his fantasies, since she’s probably the only way marvin can actually be honest with himself and recognise his actions.

many people bring up the lines “you might tell me you’re a victim, you might get what you deserve, but i won’t excuse, boy i cant excuse, a boy who’s lost his nerve” which i will admit. do not sound great, incredibly suspicious even. but taken in the context that miss goldberg is not actually saying this to marvin, and actually it’s a version of miss goldberg that marvin has made up to make himself “behave properly” it starts to make sense.

marvin victimises himself a LOT. he’s self aware enough to recognise when he does wrong but tends to refuse to believe that it’s truly his fault, and that he’s the victim somehow. this is pretty obvious in falsettos but it’s also true in in trousers. he sings a lot of songs trying to portray himself as the victim, facing a lot of opposition from the women. this is shown in How Marvin Eats His Breakfast where he is sure that he’s in the right and is the victim because he’s not getting what he wants, and the women in the song directly oppose him by describing all the insane things he’s doing and even insulting him. it’s also shown in The Nausea Before the Game, where he’s lamenting about how his life is so hard, and how trying to live up to societies expectations is nauseating (this is a very simplified analysis of the song, i do actually thing marvin’s feelings in this song are valid but that’s an entirely different conversation). the song transitions into his wife singing about how she met him, how he ghosted her for weeks but then came back. that part of the song is much more tragic than marvin’s, essentially telling the listener that while his feelings are valid, he also seriously hurt and damaged this woman, and that that cannot be forgotten. the musical never ever lets us believe that marvin is the victim, despite his insistence.

and then every pony, is what i think the first line of that quote is referring to. how marvin is convinced that he is the victim, he is telling *himself* that. and the part of himself who knows that isn’t true manifests as miss goldberg to tell him that no, no you aren’t. no matter what marvin says, he will never be the victim, he is the one hurting others.

“you might get what you deserve” is slightly more difficult. i can’t really tell if it’s positive or negative. it could either refer to how he got what he deserved by being in a loveless marriage, or how he got what he deserved by leaving his wife and kids (and bird) to leave with whizzer. personally i think it’s the second, going with how marvin is convinced that he’s the victim, he’s convinced him leaving his wife for whizzer is what he deserves after going through so much. he thinks he deserves something good for once. and like yay bro for breaking out of your forced heterosexuality but did you have to destroy your wife’s entire life in the process? when i say marvin isn’t a victim i do mean in the context of the musical, marvin is very much a victim of society and heteronormativity, but he is NOT a victim of any of the women in the musical, which he likes to pretend he is. it’s easier to blame them than himself.

“but i won’t excuse, boy i can’t excuse, a boy who’s lost his nerve.” much simpler to understand, the miss goldberg inside marvin’s head is very much the voice of outside influence, aka wider society, the one that expects him to conform. she can’t excuse him “loosing his nerve” by deciding to cheat on his wife with a man and run away with said nerve.

anyway i hope this yap session help y’all understand that marvin was never harmed by miss goldberg (nor do i think he did anything to her, other than probably be off putting and creepy like an average 14 year old is) i doubt anyone will see this but i loooooove talking about this stupid musical so ask questions please please please or else i’ll post 5 MILLION of these because i can’t stop thinking about this musical

Love, a concept so complicated to even grasp and yet, every single soul in the universe end up craving it. I have had my share of the cravings, but, news flash, it all resulted in me being left alone stranded. So the concept is now hid safe inside a box. buried deep down somewhere inside, and at times like these I hear the faint screaming it does from the suffocation, all for some acknowledgement. And now, Geto, Love? The one minute he stared longer? Gojo's words kept replaying in my head on my way to find Suguru.

I wouldnt run my thoughts any deeper into this, i mean why should i? what did he do about this? how long has this been going on, and ,oh fuck , thats a pillar and my head is gonna raamm into-, wait no its soft, wait its a hand, a familiar one, shit-

I slowly raised my head to see geto by the vending machine with one can of his favourite drink and the other hand as a barrier to my head and the wall. and yet he doesnt frickin spare me a look, why te hell is his head stooped so low.

Walls are everywhere these days huh?,the audacity to joke around right now without even meeting my eye.

"So youre not even gonna look at me?" I blurt out, unexpectedly helpless in my delivery.

As I see him lift his head up very reluctantly and struggle, i find myself doubting everything gojo previously said, miutes ago.

"Whats up y/n". THE NERVE.

"Didnt take you to be a fuckboi Suguru Senpai, following your best friend's steps is it?"

With a confounded expression I saw him squint his eyes and , well that should be a question then.

"You never called, Geto".

His eyes bulged a bit like he wasnt expecting me to care about the things that we did yesterday. I saw him mumble something under his breath while maintaining the good old strained eyebrows.

"What, you dont care about how i feel now that you slept w me?"

I see his expression waver into immediate shock that desperately needed to set some things straight.

"Y/n..you don't know what you're talking about.. please".

No amount of strained expression from him is helping this mixed signal facade that's happening to me. He takes a deep breathe noticing my baffled expression.

"I do. i do care, more than I've done for anyone else. its just.. by the time you were asleep in my...in my arms, gojo had texted. Soo..it worked. Everything worked out. As intended. Or it didnt, and he came to his senses maybe,finally,else, it doesnt make sense. it makes zero sense. i mean why the fuck would someone not know how to treat you? to treat you shouldnt come as a chore or a result of some challenge, its as natural as breathing air, and idk what was with him all this while, but im sure he realises now, so give him a chance, he'll treat you better I'm sure."

"Is that what you want?"

"What..why..why would it matter, what I think" he visibly gulps, confused.

"It matters to me geto, if you care about me, to know that you like me, I don't know geto you messed with my head, I can't get you out of it...i broke up with gojo."

"What..wait. what?" His face couldn't contain the emotions that rollercoastered through his mind.

"Just say it geto, fucking say it. Do you or do you not like me. Shit, why am I even doing this? " I steer away on my heel as an attempt to hide the tears that are about ruin my mascara, until I feel an immediate grab on my wrist, the same soft hands.

"y/nnn, y/nn....how do i tell you this...you have no idea. not a thing. the way i have craved for you, to be with you, the way i have literally felt my blood boil seeing the way my bestfreind treated you. you have no ideaaa. please dont torment me any more than this, shit im sorry, i know, its not your fault. hell you had no idea how i felt. its just. all you had to do was exist ynnn. the way you aree, the way you smile, hold the hemm of gojos shirt when he failed to pay you the attention you more than deserve, the way you gently hit shoko on her shoulders when you laugh, the way your eyes crinkle when you smile, the way and fuck the way, the way i saw you yesterday, every inch of you, its etched in my memory, by choice. I couldn't contain the happiness that bloomed inside me and I had to do something crazy because he looked just too cute.

eddie sits outside his trailer as he lights himself a cigarette. he throws the now red towel in the bucket filled with water.

his life has been nothing but predictable since the night he survived the upside down and they defeated vecna. thought he was free of any charges, people in this town still believed he was some freak cult leader who murdered chrissy and all the other victims of vecna.

eddie had to come outside almost everyday and clean the big red letters label ‘murderer’ on his front door. he knew he needed to move out of his uncle trailer soon.

it wasn’t like wayne was kicking him out. in fact, wayne practically forbid him to leave. eddie just didn’t want his uncle to have to go through this for the rest of his life. he didn’t deserve any of this.

“hi, eds!”

eddie looks up and gives max a smile. out of everyone, eddie was closest to max, at least emotionally. the two had been through quite a lot. they leaned on each other whenever they needed to talk or cry.

“hi, red! what are you doing today?”

“lucas is taking me out! it’s his birthday but he insist on treating me.” max playfully rolls her eyes.

“ah, he just loves you man.”

“i know. what about you? what are you up to today?”

“got band practice with the boys. after im headed to steve’s and nance. gonna play with the kiddos for a little while.” eddie explained.

max simply hums before she waves goodbye and gets in her car to drive to lucas house. eddie goes to his backyard and dumps out the bucket of water before heading inside to shower.

when he finished band practice he heads straight to steve’s house. he turns and notice a car parked in the house across from theirs. eddie shrugs it off before knocking on steve’s door.

“hi, stevie! where are the babies?!”

steve rolls his eyes. “eddie, i love you man, i do! but you seriously gotta stop coming over just to play with the kids! you know i exist right?”

eddie simply ignores him and heads to the living room. he sees steve’s babies playing with the blocks on the ground.

“uncle eddie!” the three and four year old yell.

“hello, mini harringtons!” eddie sits on the floor next to them and help them with their toys. nancy comes downstairs, about to head to yours when she sees the scene in front of her. she stands next to her husband while watching with a smile.

“i can’t believe he’s missed this part of his own kids life. all because of yn family.” nancy shakes her head. steve hums.

“but knowing eds, that won’t matter. he’ll finally be able to get his life back in order, nance! he’s only this happy when he’s around the kids. i think having his own daughter will bring that joy back in his life. who knows? maybe yn can get him to go to therapy.” steve whispers back to his wife.

“i hope so, honey. they both deserve to be happy. i hate seeing the hurt look on their faces.”

it had been a two weeks since you’ve been back. you had been pretty busy looking for a job before telling eddie everything. nancy was just on her way to tell you steve is offering you a job as his secretary.

“thanks for giving her this job, steve. she definitely needs it. she’s been looking for days. it could finally give her a break so she can give all her attention to kali.”

“and tell eddie.” steve finished.

“ill be back! make sure our three little ones don’t break anything.” nancy yells the last part before eddie sticks his tongue out at her.

steve sits next to his best friend. “how are you today, eds? anything new?”

eddie shakes his head. “nothing for me. but it looks like you and nance have a new neighbor. met them yet?”

steve bites the bottom of his lips. he couldn’t tell him too much. but he wanted eddie to be happy again. he knows how much you did that. he still talks about how you put a smile on his face, made him feel free, made all the bad things go away. when you left you took his heart with you.

eddie still had no idea what happened. he just heard that you were gone. he heard the rumors. everyone had their own little theories. none of them mattered. in his eyes, you left without saying goodbye to him. that could only mean that he wasn’t important enough in your life like you were in his.

he grieved the lost of your relationship the only way he knew how, releasing his anger out in his game. that worked for a while. he found peace though, when he met dustin and mike. he saw a lot of himself in them. eddie started to smile more and feel like he could really move on. even thought he could have someone has beautiful and kind like chrissy cunningham.

that thought went right out the window when he watched her die in front of him. it was horrific.

now that you’re back, eddie can feel that joy once more.

“yeah, it’s a woman and her little girl. she’s adorable too. curly hair, light brown eyes, and apparently has a soul for music. kinda familiar if you ask me. makes me want a little girl.” steve shrugs.

“hey!” his sons look at their dad offended. eddie laughs. “that’s cruel, steve!” eddie states.

steve playfully rolls his eyes. “you know what i mean! i love you two as well! but don’t you want a little sister?”

“no, daddy! girls are icky!”

“what about your mama? she’s a girl.”

“mamas a princess, daddy. doesn’t count.”

“ah! silly me. i forgot.”

steve’s boys giggle at their father.

“what about you, eds? when you finally start a family of your own, what do you want?”

eddie didn’t have to think about it. not really. he knew it wasn’t in the cards for him anymore but you and him talked about it in the past.

“i don’t want as many kids as you steven,” he starts. eddie still found it ridiculous that he wanted six kids. he assumed the boy was joking when he said it to nancy all those years ago. apparently he had been extremely serious. steve and nancy explaining their actual goal was six kids. “but, i did want at least three. two girls and one boy.“

“yeah? when you gonna get started on these babies?”

eddie frowns. he ignores steve’s question and this only made steve’s heart break more for his friend.

it was silent for a moment. the front door opened and in walked nancy. “we have guest boys!”

everyone turned around besides eddie. “auntie yn!” the two boys yelled before running towards you. eddie’s heart begins to papillate. he turns and sees the woman he fell in love with all those years ago.

“hi, boys!”

eddie stands up and walks towards yn. the harrington boys pull away as eddie walks closer to the only woman who he ever loved.

“hi, eds.”

With teaching his students and being the most powerful sorcerer out there, Gojo didn't often have time for domestic bliss. Dates were hard to come by, always being busy with ever-present threats and curses, plus having to teach and protect his students. So, most of your intimate moments were sweet but ultimately short. When he did find the time to spend with you, he always sought out doing things that would keep him close to your side, something that would let him just bask in your presence and your attention while he could. You were such a major source of relief for him, to not be the most powerful sorcerer for once, but instead simply be a man in love named Gojo Satoru.

That's what led to him suggesting cooking together tonight, something simple but that you could do together. You couldn't be sure on his cooking skills, never having had the opportunity to test it beforehand. But the anticipation and eagerness in his eyes easily convinced you, your boyfriend clearly excited about the idea of cooking side by side. When you accepted, you were sure that if he had a tail, he'd be wagging it at high speed with how happy he was.

It was a bit of a rough start at first, bumping into each other in your small kitchen, figuring out how to designate tasks and when to start each part of the dish. But rather quickly, things sorted themselves. You never would have guessed it, and you had a tiny hunch you were an exception to the rule, but Gojo was excellent at following your orders. When asked to dice something, he complied. When asked to crack some eggs, he asked how many. It wasn't long before your home was filled with a delicious aroma of the dish you'd chosen.

You'd honestly expected a little more trouble when it came to Gojo, someone with a knack for all manner of jokes and talk back, but he was the perfect sous chef. When you'd finally reached the end stages of cooking, taking a moment to relax against the counter as you waited for the timer to end, Gojo couldn't help but come over beside you. The entire time cooking, you'd felt his gaze on you, but of course you could never catch him in the act. But he didn't hide it now, slipping his arms around your waist and pulling you close.

The way he watched you, this overwhelming sense of love and appreciation, it never failed to get your heart racing. As he leaned forward to press a soft kiss to your lips, you were convinced he would hear your loud heartbeat over the sound of your dishes cooking. But almost as if he read your mind and your worries, he pulled your hand up to his chest where you could feel his heart racing in time with yours. It was a wordless but sincere connection, just a moment where only you two existed in the universe, two halves of a whole just enjoying this brief moment of respite together. It was temporary, and quickly fleeting. But that's why, when the opportunity afforded itself, Gojo made sure you knew just how much he loved you, his personal home.

for archival reasons, and because rise has officially ended, i'm coping by looking back at the past two years and thinking about the master utsushi rabbit hole. this is based on a long reply i sent to a mutual but i think it deserved to have its own post where others can read it and i can expand further on certain details. or something. i don't know. i have no idea who will read this but if you do, please enjoy...

i wound up getting attached to utsushi-kyokan (master/instructor utsushi), ウツハン/utsuhan (utsushi x hunter) ship, and finding his Japanese fan community late 2021, and i've been chatting with mutuals and friends i made there since. at that time, capcom had opened up pre-orders for his nui (plushie). this plush is lovingly referred to as "Unui-kun", and people love to take him around and bring him places. here's my Unui-kun in new york city lol

fans love to dress him up and make clothing and accessories for him. had i known just how attached i would become, i would not have set my Unui-kun to ship via surface mail delivery because it took about 2-3 months extra for him to arrive... ;;

but anyway, it seemed that his popularity was growing because they continued to make more merch of him. he seems to have more than any of the other characters.

many of these are limited print/pre-order only, or were from specific events like the capcom cafe features. trying to get his merchandise became crazy, because scalpers started to pick up on how badly people wanted goodies of him?!

just how popular is this guy?! what's with the character tax!!

and how did this even happen... we're playing monster hunter, not an idol game! but i think it really speaks a lot for itself how rise had such colorful characters that you could get attached to. it seems he really jives with many female and queer players, so good on capcom for that hehe. many of the japanese fans i've met are either older women, very often mothers, or gnc, which i found to be really cool. the english-speaking utsushi fans are usually the same, too. the solidarity is real...

I found out that a lot of ppl, including myself, shared a similar experience: they missed out on a majority of utsushi's flavor text in base rise bc they didn't talk to him or the other NPCs very much during village and high rank quests, and therefore didn't even think much of him until after the fact. people double-taking when going through the game again and actually catching on to his antics... I think what really got things going was when they released his DLC voice and learned about his, uh, extremely affectionate lines towards the hunter when it comes to mew mew and blowing a kiss LOL. (the "welcome back, master!" line?!?! there's so much art of him in a maid outfit... and the way he says ace/manadeshi in his sleep at the table?!?! scandalous?!?!) even for me, he got my attention only once i saw the official art of him (realizing "hey he's got a cute design actually") and eventually encountering utsushi x hunter fanart on pixiv. another thing that got me noticing him was brian david gilbert's now deleted tweet about how zac efron and utsushi are the same. thankfully, we have the internet archive to save the existence of this post and i have to make sure people experience this lost media.

once i realized how weirdly close he was to the hunter, the gears started turning

i confirmed that ppl really did notice that it was unusual for an instructor character to refer to his pupil as "manadeshi (beloved/dearest disciple)" in the manner that he does, being so close to them in a way that felt so familiar and warm. he was already popular enough that by valentine's day 2022, fans literally sent real chocolates to capcom addressed to utsushi. i knew about this for a while, but i was shook that they wound up officially addressing that this really happened during the last update video.

after they received his chocolates, they immediately got one of the (female) illustrators on board to quickly draw that really cute valentine's day art of utsushi. the japanese tweet for that artwork had even a little bit more text than the english one…

that "i'll always be watching over you" line…

(and while i'm here, i have to mention the valentine's day art we got for 2023- i made a separate post about THAT.)

we started to suspect capcom caught on to this niche community's love for utsushi, and they started to kind of... troll us??? LOL.

throughout the previews of sunbreak last year, they would start obsessively sneaking utsushi into those chibi artworks. and when npc followers were announced, people were scrambling to find out if he was going to be one of them, but there also was some weird radio silence about him for a bit...

in one of the earlier trailers that showed the elgado hub for the first time, there was a very short part of the clip where ppl could see someone standing in the distance at the corner of the screen. all the utsushi fans went nuts because they were taking a magnifying glass and zooming up at there wondering if it was really him, because everyone wanted him to be there in sunbreak LOL.

of course we'd eventually find out that would be his perch for most of the game! it was only during the final preview trailer before the release of sunbreak did they finally announce utsushi as a follower, as if they were saving the best for last. and sunbreak dropped, we got to see him in elgado and enjoy hunting with him. and it didn't end there. he wound up being featured in two of the short stories released last summer, and we would not forget this incident.

when i think about how easy it is to just play through the story and miss out on following specific out-of-the-way flavor texts, let alone know about all this outside of the game, i wonder if utsushi joining the hunter in the battle against amatsu in the penultimate battle was strange, because he has such a spotlight on him, even being the one who allows you to ride an apex which was normally impossible. if people didn't acknowledge him before, certainly people would love him now.

his final line after you defeat amatsu: it's cute and silly in english... but in japanese, his line and delivery was extremely, almost unabashedly... romantic. many people were shocked because it sounded like a fervent confession.

"I'll say it once more... You are my pride, my beloved disciple."

finally, during the last update video…

we got this line straight from the director LOL. utsushi wound up being his personal favorite character in rise, and perhaps why we wound up seeing more and more of him in sunbreak.

all in all, if you kept up with the flavor text of rise, and if you followed utsushi's dialogue throughout the base game and expansion, the emotional pay off at the end was even better! and it is a shame when this stuff is mostly optional or you have to go out of the way for it, with so much being missable with every bit of progression. but making a monhun where story and character interactions are pushed more… i think they were on to something. it's probably something that could be divisive, but personally I think they should go all in on it more in the future. Rise proved that they could make charming and memorable (not to mention, named) characters... if they lean into it more in a future entry, then i hope they do it in a way where everyone can enjoy it and not feel like they missed out. but I also hope they would make it so that people don't feel overwhelmed with flavor text... it comes down to taste, but i think i have faith that monhun can try making more character-driven stories while still keeping the core of the series in tact.

his seiyuu in japanese is a sentai actor who loves monster hunter, so essentially, kagami is lowkey like a self-insert for him lol. he's goofy in english because he's voiced by a certain youtuber, but in japanese he takes a different direction of silly because he has a "chuunibyou" edgelord cringe way of talking. it's such a shame that kagami wasn't really in the game itself besides being mentioned in a few mission descriptions because i would've loved to see him interact with utsushi and the hunter, and i wish the royal knights and many of the NPCs had more cutscenes or something. it makes me think, if it weren't for the pandemic, could rise's story and scenario have been something more because of the DLC voice characters like hibasa/monju/kagami? anyway, a popular headcanon is that utsushi and kagami are ex-boyfriends lol (i personally like this one and adapted it for my utsuhan fanfics). but there are even those who ship kagautsu too (although it is rare because people overseas are a little wary of shipping characters who are based on real people).

Okay so im an (now ex) anti-endo (i still feel uncomfortable around endos but i guess now that not valid) who discover that im an tulpa.

For more context im the host of a complex polyfrag DID system who always belive endos jist fake for attention and hurt the real system comunity (traumagenic systems) and im just "exist" since this year 2020 i got a blackout of 2 years until 2023 and what the rest of the system tell me when i ask was "you got a colapse and lock yourself in your room for two years and fall in dormancy, when you finally get out you was so confused that you split in the fragment youre now and Gaby and so you cannot remember what happen because of that and Miyamoto (an alter friend of mine) was the host for that time" i got not reason to doubt about it an they have no reason to lie, they say the same thing to all our friends and even to my girlfriend.

I was looking arround of some old papers and pdfs and i find out that they have a diary and it was pretty old and one page have my sigh but the date its supposed to be in the time i was locked and some other papers was the same or some alters mention me like if i was there like really there.

Then i finally discover a paper with the tittle "[My name] (oc lore)

And pretty detailed pages about the process of creation of a tulpa and a character itself and descriptions very accurated about my body and personality plus a background history that its exactly like my memorys and thing about my gender and sexuality also accurate (i get offended for that because i really struggle with that) and and alter called Axel/Alex who i know he exist because and romantic history of the system while i was out but i supposed he was just a fragment of another alter and i discover that he was one of the "original alters" (i mean the result of the first split) and he created me like A TULPA, he say in his notes that the rest of the system is traumagenic and he discover them in therapy but whatever it means we have traumagenic origins but as long as i know im THE ONLY TULPA/ENDOGENIC/WILLOWGENIC ALTER (HEADMATE???) And one of the few that are anti-endo (the big problem there is that were least than 5 and those alters are my friends (probably not anymore)

I really need help of a tulpa to understand this because i have so many cuestions about this and i dont have so many tulpa friends exactly and i guess i have to change my mindset and i was wonder i can have your help...

Oh wow, yeah this is a ton, thank you for reaching out for real! Sorry it took a hot sec to respond, I've been blocked from front a lot myself so I wanted to be in tune enough to give this the response it deserves.

Alrightie, so we have P-DID (we're mixed origin too), so we don't have as much dissociation as y'all, but we do have a bit of experience with host changes and people blacking out/going dormant for waay longer than expected, so that's where we're coming from here. Especially with memory barriers so high, host switches can be really disorienting and some pretty big things can be forgotten depending on the system. It sounds like during the time there was a big host switch, you got created by Axel/Alex, but due to u being affected by the inherent dissociative barriers of your system, you forgot your early memories of being created - as evidenced by things being signed by you and mentions of you that you don't remember, if I'm reading this correctly. That's a lot to take in, but it's good to have all this evidence you can bring up to your alters in a discussion about it if you're able. I know it's probably freaking you out, but just asking the alters that mention you/worked on you in the papers instead of accusing them will do a lot to help with resistance and all. I'm sure they had a good reason for not saying anything to you.

That brings me to my second point; if a good chunk of you are intensely anti-endo, there's a good chance your memories of your creation/origin are blocked behind dissociative barriers because that knowledge woulda been too much for your system to process and bare at the time. Make sure to consider that in what ya do- try not to dump all the pressure on yourself, if you put yourself into a spiral about all this or try to force your other alters to do a 180 it might end up counterproductive. You're their equal, don't ever forget that; take it slow and steady. Things'll end up alright. On the flipside of this, there's a reason you exist, and you were created because somebody (Axel/Alex?) WANTED you here, and that's important. You have just as much a right to be here, and it's not a bad thing that you exist or to challenge the collective opinion of how things work. That's what growing and changing is all about!!

You don't hafta jump full force into the endogenic community of course, take your time and don't overwhelm yourself. I think you'll enjoy a term we're extremely attached to: traumaendo systems are systems that experience both traumagenic and endogenic origins in one way or another, and the label is focused on the specific unique experiences we go through while straddling both worlds. Tulpamancy is particular is controversial because it started out as a separate community developing their own skills before coming into contact with the greater plural community, so you'll find that a lot of terms within it are different and stuff. Additionally, you'll probably run into a lotta controversies, specifically the infamous one about tulpamancy's etymological origin, so make sure to keep your head on your shoulders and put research and objectivity first. Don't forget that we've asked people actually of the culture about this, and that the etymological origin is of an open religion that encourages their meditations be shared and adapted. People will make up anything to try and keep us hated, but don't let it stop you. You're not hurting anyone by existing as u are.

And lastly? Take care of urself. There're a lot of little intricacies I can't predict because everything is different from system to system, but if you pay attention and work as a team with your alters, you'll start to see patterns and understand yourself more. You might find that you operate a bit differently than them, you might not, but regardless, there's no shame in your existence. Idk if I'm alone in this or not but one of my biggest maxicest headcanons is that if Wanda didn't magically create her twin babies... she still would have had them... with Pietro. (Ya know what I mean).

I know, I know, I know. There's plenty of reasons why it sounds illogical. BUT! I feel like if Wanda never loved Vision (or just said "frick it" and just elopes with her brother) or if she really really REALLY wanted to have babies (the 'traditional' way) and asked Pietro... you know that man is 1000% gonna go with whatever his beloved sister wants whether he likes it or not.

Another reason why is because I want them to raise my boys Thomas/Tommy and William/Billy. Especially our lil speed. Baby boy deserves all the nice things. We already see how Wanda interacts with her boys as their mother-not-mother. But imagine if Pietro was their actual dad and how he would interact with the boys?? So many possibilitiessss

And if Wanda and Pietro did raise them, they would also train/mentor Billy and Tommy with their powers early on which would probably make them more powerful or at least more in control in their powers.

Anyways, sorry for the rant! Just wanna know what you'd think of this headcanon of mine and anything you'd like to add really! :)))

i love having them all as a family. for tommy especially. the kaplans are good parents, but tommy never got to have that and that sucks because wanda loved him so much the whole time and ughh they could have been happy. i would love more wanda and tommy stuff in canon or otherwise. but i also love pietro being more a part of tommys life. not sure if pietro is more competitive or concilliatory with him? bit of both probably. seeing himself in tommy and whether that creates friction or pride or pity.

like in 616 i feel like they have major old cat vs new hyperactive kitten energy and idk if that would be the same if pietro helped raise him from birth but i do love it. pietro's slightly put-on long suffering exasperation and tommy's overwhelming need to annoy this one guy in particular but underneath pietro's really fond of him and tommy's looking for attention and for someone to appreciate him and care that he exists. but they should also get to have stupid fun at high speeds (and together cause i imagine its usually pretty isolating).

in 616 i go with the headcanon that billy and tommy are pietros genetically, like wanda made them as if they were his, but it was still done magically and he just had to see it from afar. theyre the children she always imagined having, the ones she really wanted. so i have no qualms about just making them fully biologically his in AUs, its the way the rebirths and subsequent life experiences affect their personalities that i have to work around.

im working on (slowly) a 616 post childrens crusade fic where the two of them sort of readopt tommy. and they form this kind of nuclear family but dont talk to each other about it really because theyre all afraid the others will reject it. 100% happy ending they get the family they were supposed to have eventually.

also something i probably wont write but have as an idea. a very lighthearted fox xmen au where billy and tommy exist and theyre like 12-14 and pietro (peter i guess) has to keep juggling his job of Saving the World(tm) with dealing with whatever bullshit the boys have done. like the phoenix force is out of control and we need to do something to stop jean from destroying the world, but billy really wanted to see a dinosaur and now theres a time rift in the garden and pietro cannot let his coworkers find out about his children and their godlike powers, so he's bouncing between some really deep placatory conversation with jean and trying to find enough cages to put all the velociraptors in before wanda gets home and finds the house in a mess.

i absolutely adore your take on the situation! i also feel like mq would have such a hard time believing lqq being genuine, especially if this would be during the time they would be fighting. and while mq doesn't see himself through the eyes of those who judge him, he still thinks even those who don't think the same. lqq meanwhile doesn't have much of information on mq and xl's relationship so perhaps he would get more curious about it seeing the way mq reacted to the situation.

however i look at it i don't think qianqing would have much issues with their relationship/friendship simply because they would end up talking about the issues at some point, because neither of them are weighted by shared or complicated history, the power imbalance doesn't really exist between them so it wouldn't play that much of a role in their issues, and both of them are stubborn enough to keep trying to make it better when things go south. maybe the topic of morality would be an issue, but seeing as both of them are generals and know war, i don't think the topic would come up all that often. and if it does, mq doesn't strike me as someone who would deliberately take jabs at lqq's ways of dealing with things and would let him do his thing voicing his thoughts (he did deal with both fx and xl's idealistic views after all) and lqq would at least demand mq's explanation before jumping his throat about his ways being "conniving".

Now I’m just thinking about the more mundane sides of their relationship. Like when all of the tension of their previous circumstances is gone and over with, they could really have one of the most sincere companionships in the heavens. I mostly think that way about any relationship where lqq is involved but it’s especially refreshing to imagine with mq who’s never really had that for himself in the way most of the other gods have. Mq deserves a confidant and lqq would be such a positive person for mq to learn to open up more with.

I definitely think they’d have a liveliness to their relationship— lqq seems like the type to lose interest and drag out his formal duties (paperwork, organizing, etc), which mq would absolutely get on his case about. Attendants wouldn’t even be able to formally announce mq’s arrival without lqq trying to find ways to avoid mq for the dread of being dragged back to his duties by the ear. Meanwhile mq would give lqq an earful about how childish he’s being (even if mq may or may not be going along with lqq’s game of avoidance) and eventually sit down with lqq to make sure he finishes what needs to be done.

On the other hand mq is always so distant at festivals and events— always solitary with his martial training and meditations. Lqq is a noisy disruption from the norm but he makes a good sparring partner. Somehow they both find each other’s martial styles familiar (it’s the xl conditioning but neither of them know that yet). Lqq is far from besting mq but I think he would be a good sport about it— mq leaves him in the dirt more times than either of them can count but lqq always grins and leaps back to his feet for another determined round.

There would be quiet, comfortable moments too but those seem somehow more rare and more special for them.

Anyway—! I would LOVE to see fy!mq run into lqq while they’re out trying to solve their individual problems in the mortal realm. Maybe lqq wouldn’t recognize mq at first— maybe mq wouldn’t want lqq to recognize him. But despite that possibility I still think it would be interesting to see mq try and convince lqq as fy to take a different path,,, even if he fails to dissuade lqq.

I just love having these talks though!!! And I get where you’re coming from. It feels out of place to be someone who likes lqq but doesn’t necessarily like qiurong. No hate or judgement here though— it’s just not for me! And since lqq’s presence in the plot is very limited it’s both a blessing and a curse cos it means so much about him is a mystery BUT!! it also means interpreting how he interacts with other characters is free real estate 😂 I love the creativity that comes from the circumstances!

And I’ve decided I want to participate in the lqq/sqx event but I haven’t decided what prompt(s) I wanna draw for yet. That’s something I’ll figure out soon huhuhu

i suck at ranking things and don't enjoy it one bit because i don't do faves, im too fluid in my tastes and can't ever pick criteria but! let's try in no particular order

1. Kieta Hatsukoi

i think im in the habit of dropping things from my fave lists as time goes by and especially if they're well beloved by other people like "okay then I'll focus on this less talked about thing, my bby seems to be getting enough attention"; how and why I work that way im not sure but I do and by that logic kieta hatsukoi should not be on my list but it's an honorary member - I've watched it twice (with maybe a bit of skipping which is still a lot cause I don't really do rewatches) and I've read most of the manga. it's just so..easy to like, for a lack of a better phrase. it's inoffensive and suited to be a comfort piece of media in whichever form you decide to enjoy it (and it'd make an amazing anime, i guarantee people would be all over it)

the live adaptation also takes the events of the manga and mixes them around big time but it still makes sense and it keeps you a bit more on your toes when consuming the other version, whether you watch the show or read the manga first

it's also a show I've recommended passionately and I successfully made my then new acquaintance watch which I'm a bit smug about lmao

sweet characters, supportive friends, funny, light and warm 💖

2. The End of the World With You

this showwww, i dont know if i can call it a fave since i havent once come back to it, i dont feel the need to go watch compilations of my guys or anything and i acknowledge there were some elements i found a bit lacking but! it's amazing. idc, this show gave me proper complex relationship where i still end up rooting for a couple of people who were toxic towards each other and did nootttt know how to handle a relationship; the dynamic is compelling, the premise is interesting enough, there are heavy scenes and plot points but it is embedded with hope

it also helped me bond a bit with a mutual i like <3

i just am thankful for it existing out there in the world, it served fucked up relationship (that i root for wholeheartedly), sexy times, found family, amazing acting and it didnt have most of the chaos an apocalyptic piece would usually be dealing with

3. BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita: Crank Up Hen

listen. we're getting some pretty good jbls this year but i said this will be jbl of the year and i still think it's a solid nominee.

the romance is tooth-achingly sweet. the leads are adorable. the acting is perfect and manages to deliver the comedy very well. it's cute, it's fun, it knows exactly what it wants to achieve and works with its timeframe to do it. the side characters do not affect the plot negatively, the hurdles the couple needs to overcome do not feel excessive. if you happen to yell at them for being silly, it's lovingly. also we got more chemistry than i expected! and it was really good. it also set up an example for ''japanese actors working on bls'' (found the things like shooting promos and the portrayed bts process really fun) so now watching 25 ji Ajisaka de i can't help but think of this show

4. Utsukushii Kare

my relationship with this show suffers from the "enough people love it" thing as well, i think i rewatched it or skipped through the first season? and i enjoyed the second one as well but honestly it feels not only as if enough people love it but that they love it and get it way better than i do. i didnt watch the movie out of fear of having to say bye to my guys but i also feel more disconnected from it now. im sure its still a gem of a movie and im so so happy we got two seasons and a movie, the show and the cast deserve it!!

there is just so much beauty in their yearning for each other and the misunderstandings, the downright stupid decisions they make..they all just work in making this a neat story of love that blooms from something different, from worship and the desire to be seen and to be held and to be possesed. they're wild, i love them

5. Kinou Nani Tabeta?

this show i watched years before i got into bl and i didn't even know it was a bl when i started it lol, i was like "ohhh, theyre a couple? cool"

i rewatched the first season, watched the special and the movie, started the second season and kinda got stuck there, again with hte "i dont want to let them go"..and now ive lost momentum and ive got basically a whole season ahead (i started it when it was airing 😭)

these two love each other so much and support each other in every way that matters, my heart melts at every sweet gesture and even though the show portrays some real struggles they have to deal with, its still a very funny and light show. the best word to describe it would be "charming" - you see this couple's everyday life, you see how they came to be and what challenges they face, how they overcome them and you're left with no doubt in your mind they will grow old together, well loved and taken care of

now I wanted ti turn this into a top 10 but I felt like I was being disingenuous cause I can't overcome my need to talk about underrated shows rather than pick my faves..I can't make a faves list without turning it into a diverse recommendation list so I'll just. stop here.

im not sure if youve already talked about this before but whats evelyn and francis's relationship like? is it the same as arthur and francis with constant back and forth bickering that goes from spiteful to old married couple, or do they have their own dynamic?

I'm like super conscious that Francis hasn't popped up at all since Chapter 1 which is a bit of a hole considering how inextricably tied - for better and worse - French and British foreign policies were throughout the 17th to 20th centuries. I kind of sit on what I imagine their relationship is like to be honest, cause I'm not...quite sure. So this is me kind of deciding on how I want it as I type. I hope its coherent. She relies on him a lot when they're very young for guidance. She doesn't look up to her brothers, she's never quite sure she can trust them, but she initially does Francis, who is slowly but surely uniting and taking parts of the land for himself throughout the centuries until he's not the land of the Franks but simply France. They trade and converse and he's just so tall and grand and when Francis looks and smiles at you your tummy does a flip and you feel and warm and when he kisses -

But then his attention flits away, because England before 1066, or God, 1550, just didn't really matter in Europe. If it weren't for her wool she really would be worth nothing at all. And Francis only likes to operate around influencers and ambitious people. She is at the edge of every map, the edge of Christendom. Look at any mappa mundi and there she is, right on the bottom edge. Small, pretty (my goodness is she a pretty little thing, people won't stop invading her for a thousand years because she's the perfect place to make a home in), relatively wealthy yes, but not particularly engaging. She's a place to rest in, not to have an adventure. Adventure is beyond her shores. Here there be dragons, and all that jazz

And mainland Europe has far more going for it, Italy and Spain and HRE and Flanders... and that's... fine... but then Scotland and Evelyn does what does best and gets intensely jealous and does a stupid adolescence thing and listens to the bloody Plantagenets and goes yeah, ravaging the French countryside is sure to bring his attention back to me and yeah maybe I do deserve more than half an island, the latter thought of which never quite leaves her. Things sort of start back up for a second with the Tudors and the early Stuarts, but after Charles I, it takes a hit and just never recovers until the 1840s.

Francis is undeniably a charmer, especially to girls, and he is shown to be a bit softer to them. I think, given how long they have known each other, they are genuine with each other, for better for worse, and that means when they get along, when Evelyn is less morbid and Francis more upfront and honest, they can genuinely get along.

They both like the finer things in life, albeit Francis can be a bit more snooty about it, she admires his ability to connect with his people in a way she just can't, his ability to somehow keep a cool head and navigate politics in a way she can't. Francis is a better politician and a better fighter than her. And he does have just an aura of being more put together than her, he's cracked some parts of nationhood that she just absolutely drops the ball regarding, which she resents.

She hates him for the duration of the 18th century until... I dunno... The July Revolution or so? Anyway, I think Evelyn really, really, really fucking hated Francis for a long time, either because people told her to, or she did genuinely see him as someone who existed only to take away the things that made her happiest.

He controlled where and when she could see Matthew, until it became so rare that she went to desperate measures to get to him, and Francis 'took' Alfred from her. She really doesn't have a lot of empathy; she can't see why Francis would do either of those things, aside from just to spite her. The problem with loneliness is it makes your world entirely yours. You end up becoming more and more self absorbed because there is nothing else to take up your head-space, no-one else occupies it. This is of course ends up affecting your behaviour and in a self perpetuating cycle.

I think Francis sees her as someone who genuinely does not know her place, and that doesn't mean he thinks she's lesser than necessarily, more in the sense of he sees how lost she is and how she fumbles around putting herself with people that will only serve to make her miserable, or reaching for ambitions that so obviously will just make her unhappy. He has seen her happy, he knows what makes her happier better than she does, and I think he pities her more than anything. Still thinks she's an opportunistic fuddy duddy too in love with the idea of her kids to actually see the reality and the little monsters she's created but... he understands her, far more than she understands him.

The fact that he pities her? Oh, that's why they will never truly get past that barrier. Her pride, that thing that holds what little she has together, won't allow it. Pity suggests she's less than, and she'll never forgive him for it. She'd still absolutely die for him when the 20th century comes round, mind you. Because she's a sentimental thing, and still dreams about sitting on a beach in Normandy with him, talking about what he remembers of Rome, and Francis saw her as a sharp relief from the pressures of Europe. Even now, though he gets endlessly frustrated with her dipping in and out of Europe as it pleases her as if she has no duty or responsibility to uphold; she can still sometimes feel like at the edge of the world, when he looks across the water and her white hills shine like beacons. Here there be dragons, and she's beautiful.

What was first story you ever wrote.

My main ship was Lance/Chris (Trickyfish), so it was most likely one for them. I wrote some Justin/Chris (Timbertrick) and Justin/Lance (Lamblove) too. I was 12 and everything I wrote was basically crack-fic or dark-fic where people were dying and shit. It was awful.

What's a piece of advice you would give your younger fic writing self?

Everything doesn't have to be devastating to be interesting. You can write something with a happy ending and it can still be interesting. But also, keep writing, because you'll get better.

What’s an early fandom interaction that stuck with you (be it a nice comment, a friend you made, a fic that got a lot of feedback)

Back in the Merlin, Legend of the Seeker, Lord of the Rings days I met this one Australian graphic artist who was super sweet and made a TON of stuff for me. She did all the banner work for us in the Merlin Slash Awards (which I ran), made us little banners when we participated in the fun little team contests for Disney, LotS, and LotR AND made me banners for my LiveJournal accounts. Just unbelievably kind and I am so sad that we fell out of touch.

The one amazing thing that really blew me away was the cover art she made me for my first multi-chapter long fic, Unsuitable, for the Merlin fandom. She's soooo talented and I still think about her.

this is chapter 278 btw like the “last” chapter of the manga !! tb to when I first read this when it came out and i CRIED embarrassing.

— chifuyu starting the chapter in HIS pov was the best idea imo, he’s such a prominent character the whole manga he deserves to end off the manga 🫵🏽

— mikey being a motorcycle racer is such a good idea idk who came up with that but it’s genius and i love it, it literally fits him so well like no joke 😭

Im sorry if this's becoming somewhat of a crk blog, but it's about time someone talks about this. A werid occurrence that dont think anyone talks about

Friends, it has come to attention that we've only seen two characters of a specific type of cake hound; the werehound. Choco Werehound Brute and the butler guy from ep 11(I don't know his name), are the only werehounds we see throughout the game. And so, a theory its place into my brain, a rather dark one. . .

Werehounds are either an extremely rare or an endangered species of cake beast. . .

The more you think about it, the more it makes sense. From what we gathered from the story, werehounds completely differ from other cake hounds, they walk on two legs, are able speak in full sentences, extremely strong, and are obedient in some way, shown with the bulter guy

And sure, there could be some "werehound kingdom" we don't know about and that would be the case. . . if characters in the game talked about it. Not once in the game, had anyone talk about there ever being werehound kingdom, which leads to two possibles:

1. The supposed "Werehound Kingdom" doesn't exist

2. There is one, it's just no one knows about it

Now for the million dollar question; what actually lead to werehounds as a whole to *almost* go extincted?. . the cookies. . . need I say more?

Basically throughout the game, cookies had played the role of representing mankind. And when you see how corrupt some of these characters are, I wouldn't be surprised if a few years back, they did some. . . cruel things to the werehound population. Plus Cookie Run: Kingdom had already had a streak of teaching very real and messed up lessons, ranging to themes of poetry to corrupt governments

Imagine if they threw animal engagement or worse, racial discrimination into the mix. That'd be horrifying!!!

Why do I say this? From what we know, *most* cookies have a dislike towards cake beasts, and learning that werehound were not only stronger, but smarter cake beasts, would immediately be seen as a threat. Therefore, must be tooken down. . .

I do hope we deserve to paint a better picture of Choco Werehound Brute's backstory and werehound history. I will get upset if all werehounds were actually in hiding in some way, then we would've gotten a lesson on animal engagement and some animals are on the verge of extinction because of our stupidity. Hopefully that's the case

good morning no one will ever love me as much as i love them because theres always someone better someone more worthy of their love thatll replace me the only way someone will ever love me the most is if they have literally no one else in their life no lovers no friends no family no strangers they have an inexplicable connection to no pets hell even the pests skittering around in someones house would make a better companion than me and yet everyone feels the need to lie and say that they love me when they really couldnt give even half a crap about me because im so pathetic and being responsible for someones suicide can be a crime anyways when really it hurts even more to know everything we've been through together has been built upon a lie an artificial love crafted from pity and the little tolerance they have left id rather just have no one than be tricked into believing that someone loves me for so long that i start to intertwine their being with mine so closely that i cant let go without risking death because what do i do then when i finally wake up and realize none of it was real and i was stupid to have hoped that maybe i am lovable do i just keep existing an empty shell of a "human" or do i finally throw away the remaining shattered fragments of optimism and kill off this vessel too it wont even matter if i do because truly there is no life in here an unlovable person who is made of love will never be alive all i can do is wander like a zombie in desperate search of any love or attention i can get my hands on but none of it is even real anyways so ive had nothing to keep me sustained all my life to that means surely i am already dead and ending this body will just finalize everything and perhaps itll finally bring peace to this me who isn't even human but is love itself and yet is cursed to never be loved i dont know what i did to deserve this and yet i know everything ive done to deserve this
