Divorcing Mephisto would absolutely be so dramatic and very painful. He's either going to explode on you, yelling and gesturing wildly and maybe even making baseless accusations against you (that he will 100% regret later and you'll never forget what he said). Or he'll suddenly get unnaturally quiet/ignore or avoid you. Even if you need to get documents signed or need to talk about how to break up assets, etc, he avoids you at all costs. The only thing that might turn him around is if people start rumors about you or your relationship (or lack thereof), because he still cares about you and doesn't want your name slandered like that by others.

He'll definitely be in denial for a while, and hurt you that way by saying things like "you don't mean it/want this", "just give it some time and you'll see you're wrong". He absolutely won't listen to you until you have to get a third party involved that he can't ignore, like Diavolo. It is a super messy affair...

There would be so much tension between you two, and if the divorce is for anything other than falling out of love, I can bet there'd be a lot of instances of angry sudden makeout sessions or breakup sex tbh. If you're not careful, you might get stuck in a cycle of hookups/dating again and then sudden breakup.

Now, divorcing Solomon... He definitely isn't explosive like Mephisto would be. I can see him being very quiet about the whole ordeal, but the pain and sadness is so evident in his eyes. His smiles afterwards are all strained and forced. Cause you know that you were the light in his life, the color in his world that he had initially lost after becoming immortal.

I think initially, you two would come to an understanding about the divorce, it would be a mutual agreement with little argument or fights. But he will ask for some time to think about things beforehand (meaning time for you to think about it too). And don't get him wrong, he is absolutely upset about the whole ordeal. But it's not your fault that you feel the way you do, you have a right to be happy and he wants to support that. But it's definitely painful to him.

I think even after becoming a full fledged sorcerer, you two would still have a kind of mentor-student relationship since he's so knowledgeable about spells and magic. So during/after the divorce, he may want to stop teaching you because being in close quarters with you is too much to stand. As much as he wants to be by your side, it's so bad for his own mental health and he'll put distance between you two.

Thoughts on Nanami as a husband?

Oh, there's so many thoughts haha. (It accidentally gets serious at the end, sorry 😬)

Nanami has the makings of an exquisite husband. He can cook, he's very caring, responsible, level-headed, and family-oriented.

We know he does his best to separate his job from his home life, setting hard boundaries on his work schedule so he isn't infringing on home time. So even if you, as his partner, are a jujutsu sorcerer too, he'll do his best to keep that stuff out of your marriage. So when he gets home after a long day, he's not going to load you down with work talk.

If you've ever thought about making a family, he cares for children and understands the importance of safeguarding their youth, making sure they can be children for as long as they can. And despite his scary no-nonsense face, I bet children love him and love being around him. He'd take his share of chores and responsibilities with no word of complaint.

And when he's around you, his loved one, he'll let down his guard and show you his hidden sides, his softer sides. I have no doubt he'd be the king of dad jokes, but because he doesn't show expression that much and because he won't use them that often, it just always catches you off guard. But his attempt to be funny and desire to see you smile will just make you fall even deeper in love with him.

In the same breath, because of Nanami's work in sorcery and his personality, I feel that maybe that could strain a relationship too? Definitely depending on if you're a sorcerer too or not. Although he does his best not to bring work home, he was still drawn to this job because it's something he's familiar with, it's better and more useful than corporate jobs, and he knows he can make a difference in society. And it's not without its dangers.

So plans to make a family may be delayed with promises that it will be after he's quit. But we know curses never stop, so long as humans still live. So it may be a wait that will never end, especially if he ever gets injured.

So as long as you're both aware of these things and willing to try to work towards a compromise, it would be a very worthwhile marriage, as he will always make sure you know how much he loves and cares about you, regardless of what happens.

He's reached out to any acquaintances he could think of with children, and he recalls the students at the school that he's so protective of.

But he still has anxieties regardless, always worried about if that all will be enough. He knows no amount of books will be the same as actually having the baby, and he's worried his seemingly cold demeanor will scare his child, that he won't be able to raise them well or that he'll do something that harms them on accident.

So it's definitely up to the both of you to assuage each other's fears. But when Nanami looks at you, he knows everything will be ok.

For a while, I had a strong self-ship with Gojo from JJK! Imagining my MC as a fellow sorcerer, maybe a teacher too??? Probably medicine-focused, but providing backup muscle if needed. I think he just needs someone that sees him as a person and not just a tool and heir.

Also of course my self ship with Toji lol, and he's still my current fixation from that manga. (Nanami is also in there, he's just the ideal husband type so he's for comfort)
