Two miners and two race cars journey, not to the surface, but down into the depths of Cybertron, uncovering more questions than answers.

Transformers One (Sorta?) AU but with the 86 crew instead. 😁

Story goes something like this: after the Iacon 5000 race, Blurr and Hot Rod enter the mines to meet 'the bots crazy enough to pull such a daring stunt' in person. Alas, Arcee informs them that Orion Pax and D-16 have not returned. Hot Rod wanders off, amazed and curious, before a hole suddenly opens, sending all three falling into the deeper levels. They encounter Springer, who works in the highly restricted energon refinery. As the rest figure out a way to evade arrest, Hot Rod is drawn deeper and deeper, hearing voices whispering warnings of an approaching, imminent darkness.

#slowly coming to accept the fact that I will be stuck in this job for a while yet #I can't find another job. I've tried.#and certainly not one that pays as well while remaining flexible and not requiring me to become accountant on top of regular admin #(I hate accounting)#this job is miserable but in such a lowkey way #it's stressful but I know how to deal with it #and despite grim predictions I don't see it going under rapidly #(if it does fold I'm positive there will be some warning given the nature of the services we provide)#the bad news is my work bestie is really pushing to get out and it will be lonely without her #my goal right now is to buckle down and tackle my debt for the next six months at least #once I take care of paying off my furnace and a few other small debts I will be able to 1) set aside more for savings #and 2) take a job with lower pay if necessary #woe woe woe etc #(I know one solution would be to be brave and get a job with some responsibilities I'm not comfortable with. I can learn. I can adapt.)#(I just don't want to lol)#(my secondary goal next year outside of surviving is to pick up some extra skills)#(beef up my resume in little useful ways)#(that or have someone recognize my literary genius and agree to publish something I've written for tons of money)#(obviously that ambition is untenable at best)

Yes I like musicals yes I was kind of a theatre kid back in the day no I don’t particularly care about Wicked one way or the other. We exist

#you probably figured this about me from my.. everything #4 years of choir and i was in drama clubs and classes from when i was 8-16 lol #i wouldn’t have said i was Good; ever; at any point. never got a big role. just sort of used to subject people to my bad singing #as a recreational pursuit #but yeah. i think my issue with wicked is i tried to read the books first because that’s always my approach. if there is a book i’ll read it #and maguire’s writing style just scratched my brain wrong. like sandpaper #i tried and tried but i never got any further than like a quarter of the way into the first book #and if i’m being Completely honest i don’t even really care about the wizard of oz either #i wish someone had given judy garland a gun but like other than that.#so yeah. never seen the musical. don’t plan on seeing the movie but i feel like someone will drag me to it at some point #because most of my friends are also ex theatre kids #it’s probably a good story. there’s a lot about it that makes me think i’d potentially enjoy it. i like some of the songs!#it’s just whenever i see an adaptation i feel like i’m only getting half the story. so i want to read the books #but the books ~scratch my brain wrong~#i don’t even know if i still own them. i might have donated them. yes i bought ALL four; that’s how committed i was to trying to read them #i’m a fucking idiot #personal

#and i hate it bc i miss being on here #but also i don't have to force myself or feel guilty for it #bc if i'm fr being on social media is just so time consuming and also not what is good for my mental health often #and that includes tumblr #it's not even that it's a toxic place (at least not the content i'm consuming) but sometimes i just rather spend my time with people irl #meeting someone than on social media and like focus on my life #the last month or so was just really difficult for me and i haven't been feeling so bad mentally in forever #i mean it always is like that that time of the year but i feel like i was worse this year #whenever autumn comes around with the darkness and cold i seem to hit a low mentally #when i tell you how much better my mood is in summer spring how much better i feel everyday regardless of everything else #i get people like autumn but for me its literally the worst and winter too altough at some point it gets better #maybe i adapt and maybe because i spend more time outside around christmas when i go home that's usually a turning point #and ig also the lights of december make it a bit better #but mid october to november is awful #this year the weather was much worse beginning of october was much worse #i feel like i lowkey have this seasonal mood disorder idk #but i barely managed to go to classes and i had no motivation #usually i always make myself study and do the things i have to atleast altough i often terribly procrastinate #but now i was barely able to do this and i had things to do but i couldn't make myself i missed a deadline closely #luckily my professors are the best but i felt so horrible for it how i was unable to get it done #sunlight is just so good for my mood and ik how doctors say how you should avoid it because you can get skincancer #but like i'd rather than my mental health being this bad (not that i want either)#i already miss summer so much and being happier #but tbh i haven't felt this good as I do today in weeks and even this whole week was better #i exercised more than usual altough i tried to in the last weeks i couldn't as often as i normally do so maybe this actually helps a lot #and i studied yesterday today and i will tomorrow i finally feel motivation again #besides i also tried to break up with my bf so that was also tough but i couldn't lol #i tried talking to him and tell him in the nicest way but he didn't get what i was trying to do and i couldn't say more bc i felt horrible #but maybe that's for the better altough i had these thoughts for a while that he just isn't the one for me and that we're too different...#i do really like him as a person the way he treats me and i'm still into him but i just felt like it wouldn't work

i feel like the original series was red guy centered, the first season was for yellow guy, and i am BEGGING AND PRAYING that season 2 will be more about duck!! i will probably cry if anything happens to him though lol 💀 everytime writers break a comic relief character i just OUGSHGS.. it gets me.

h well I don't think you're wrong about that! Webseries being Red Guys time to shine, S1 of the TV show being for Yellow (esp the last two episodes I think? Even thought outside of that, he does get a lot of focus/he IS the one who talks to the audience the most directly). From what I remember hearing, the pilot was pretty Duck-centered.

But I think even if he GETS his big moment in the sun, so to speak, it's NOT going to be as emotional as the other twos. On top of him just not being a very um… let's say sentimental character, he's just not the make-you-cry type! It's just not him imo!

IDK, I operate under the opinion that… in his weird little head, the most important thing that he values over everything is keeping the three of them together. Both because he thinks of them as a weird little family AND because he really doesn't have anyone else outside of the trio. We also know from the interview, and you could maybe argue from the Family episode ( Who do you love?/Anyone who loves me back., I asked every member of my family who they loved the most, and they all said me ) that being loved is something that he actually values QUITE a bit! More than you would assume on first glance! He's weirdly upfront about it haha!

In that way, I imagine that if they were to TRY to pull something to put him in the spotlight in the way you're imagining (i.e. something emotional and focusing on his issues like they did with Yellow & Red) it would either focus on his desire to be loved OR his dedication to keeping the three of them together. But I would argue they both already did that in the Family episode AND put him through the worst case-scenario in regards to those more emotional aspects of his character ( here I think the worst case scenario to him is the other two rejecting him, harshly, unambiguously and to his face, multiple times and the three of them separating ). AND THE THING IS… THAT ALREADY HAPPENED! THAT DIDN'T BREAK HIM!

He had his little pout over it in his dress and was like FINE! I DON'T NEED THEM ANYWAYS! So, I really don't think that big "character-breaking" moment is coming. If the Family ep didn't get him I honest to God don't think there's anything else the house could throw at him that could get under his skin.

#I REALLY TRULY DO THINK HES JUST GONNA KEEP BEING SILLY AND GOOFY UNTIL THE END OF TIME #just forever in the BG being funny and having the best lines #like. worst case scenario came and went and he is both so adaptable AND deranged that nothing is going to come from it ever #ALSO sorry! i think he likes being in the house lol #dude who loves repetition and stagnation and who is a complete social failure gets trapped in a time loop house with two other people?#of COURSE he loves the routine and delusionally convinces himself that the other two love him!! come ON now!!!#my dhmis postings #like im trying to think of what kind of drama can even come from his specific issues and #its like what if he figures out the other two dont think of him the same way?#HE ALREADY DID!!!#and he pushed on it and pushed on it and didnt relent until they were like PHYSICALLY seperated.#then he just convinced himself that HE made the decision to drop THEM actually.#and when that didnt work he got sad. then got over it.#again. i think he would TRY to find new friends but like. socially he is SO SO fucked lol.#hes annoying. hes loud. he NEVER stops talking. hes super upfront and DOGSHIT at communicating at the same time #hes mean. hes abrasive. he doesnt understand social cues at ALL. he has NO filter. and he refuses to work on any of that because to him #NONE of that is a problem.#like he wouldnt be able to get new friends if he TRIED. he is so completely entirely incompatible to anyone outside the group #it makes him REALLY easy to hate and i get why a lot of ppl do. i started watching the french 2024 adaption of count of monte cristo and oh they like. CHANGED THINGS changed things. BUT unlike the other appalling adaptions i've seen a) at least everyone is actually fucking french and there are no horrendous pronunciations of anyone's names and b) the changes so far all make sense narratively and sweep some of the narrative bloat off to the side, very necessary for a movie length adaption.

#me when they said CAPTAIN danglars: pikachu surprise.jpeg #love the actor playing dantes. he's both very hot and has great wet kitten energy. both necessary dantes elements.#honestly i feel like i should try to watch all the counte of monte cristo adaptions to rate them #bc this is really the first time i've ever had really REALLY strong feelings about how a classic is adapted to film #usually i am very flexible about it lol. but i put my sweat blood and tears into finishing this book #and that audiobook was my constant companion for 64hrs. so i'm invested far more in how well the adaptions connect to the source #than i ever have been before in my whole life #i also tentatively tried the first ep of the amazon miniseries. i MAY keep going but sam claflin is such a bad choice for me as dantes #he has a face that has seen an iphone. i cant separate the actor from the character enough to really see him as dantes /shrug #but i DO think it's more suited to a miniseries length storytelling medium so

I'm a first year theatre arts student and low key considering taking production as a major than performance for 2nd year as i listen to Epic more and more and just figuring out how to pull off certain effects on stage
